Amazing band for a fabulous party!

Cancel Monday was the BEST! We originally planned to have a DJ for our wedding but when we discovered them, we completely changed plans. They were easy to work with and kept our dance floor so fun all night!!

Cancel Monday was absolutely amazing! We saw several bands live before choosing Cancel Monday and I am thrilled that we did. They are incredibly talented and experienced in putting together a set that gets all generations on the dance floor. They have a great sense of what the crowd needs and when in terms of volume and style. It’s been months since our wedding and guests are still raving about how much they loved the band! We did too!

The dance floor was packed all night long!!

Jeff and his crew are next level!!! They are seriously so so good and we cannot recommend them enough! We got the recommendation for our venue preferred vendor list but also from our photographer. She said that she’s never seen an empty floor with Cancel Monday and she was right! The dance floor was full all night long and so many of our guests came up to me during and after the wedding to tell us how great the band was and how much fun they had.

Jeff was very professional and very easy to reach. We were able to text or call him whenever and we would get a response almost immediately. Jeff was able to provide a live piano player, a jazz trio, and a seven piece band. It was such a great day of music! They really elevated our wedding day. We let him take creative liberty on the set list as well as the covers for the special dances and the band did such a great job all around. We would highly recommend!

Beautiful voices and packed dance floor

Jeff was great to work with: professional, responsive, flexible. The band blew everyone away. Angela & Jasmine each have incredible voices individually; then they harmonize, and it's even more beautiful. Add a great rhythm section, keys, guitar & sax, and guests were saying they sounded better than the original artists. 90% of the guests danced through all 3 sets and stayed through the last song. Guests who "never dance at weddings" danced all night. Song selection was great, the band is friendly & interactive, and the energy was high. Highest recommendation and can't wait to go see them again at a local venue.

Amazing Wedding Band

Jeff and the Cancel Monday band were AMAZING. I would highly recommend them. They will take your night to the next level. I cannot wait to have a party and have them play again, it was so so much fun. They sound exactly like the songs they are performing (sometimes even better than the original) and kept our dancefloor packed the entire night. We are extremely grateful that they played at our wedding. It made the night so special!

If you are asking for my advice: Do yourself a favor and book them right now! Believe me, you will not regret it.

Amazing band!

Cancel Monday played at our wedding on May 28th, 2022, and I could not have been happier. This is by far the best decision we made for our wedding! Amazing music and energy throughout the evening. Our guests could not stop raving about them. Definitely pick them for your wedding day!!

On the dance floor all night!

Cancel Monday was an absolute DREAM to work with at our wedding! They were super flexible in learning new songs that we preferred to hear and played a variety of music to keep all age groups on the dance floor! Their energy was perfect for our NYE wedding and made the entire night one big party! They were so professional and always responsive in the planning process and we could be happier with our choice to book them! Let's Dance

Cancel Monday was one of our best choices we made when planning our wedding reception. They came highly recommended through friends, and after our experience we will now do the recommending! Jeff and his band were easy to work with and responsive to our requests. In addition to playing our reception, their pianist played our ceremony and one of the singers sang beautifully.

We provided some of our likes/dislikes in terms of music prior to the event, but fully trusted the band to read the audience and keep the energy up and people dancing. Cancel Monday excels in this, and took the pressure off us and relieved us of the task of overthinking our entertainment!

The band is talented and professional. There was something for everyone. The singers were soulful, energetic, and their rapport with the crowd was friendly and fun. I would definitly tell anyone to book Cancel Monday for their event if they want a band that can keep up the energy, keep people on the dance floor and craft a setlist that suits their audience.

Amazing experience!

Jeff and his crew are phenomenal. We never had to worry about what songs were going to be played or people being on the dance floor. They took care of everything. All We had to do was show up. Highly recommend this band!

Outstanding Band!

I can't say enough positive things about Cancel Monday. From the minute I booked them for a birthday party to the time of load-out, it was a fantastic experience. The leader Jeff goes to the max to make sure every detail is perfectly executed. Cocktail and dinner music was perfect and the dance music was phenomenal. The singers are fantastic and the repertoire was spot on for this group of varied ages. Everyone had a blast!

Great performers

Cancel Monday kept the dance floor going all night, and even our musician friends were commenting on how great they were. They provided great emcee services, changed lyrics per our request for dances, and listened to our requests for song selection.

They kept it lit

Seriously tho, we had the honor of having Cancel Monday at our 10/20 wedding and it was literally the best decision ever!!! They literally made the wedding a party and everyone was asking about em! The best part was they so graciously included me in singing most of my favorite songs which honestly was the absolute best thing ever for my life because I felt like a star. Ha. I absolutely love Jeff and Cancel Monday (and Monica) they were so insanely incredible and lively and just kept it lit, the whole night.

My son and his bride had Cancel Monday at their wedding at the Perry Hotel in Petoskey this past weekend and we all can not stop talking about how amazing and talented this band is!! The dance floor was packed from the very first song and last until the last song which was Don’t Stop Believing where every guest was on the dance floor singing their hearts out with the band!

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Cancel Monday!! They were one of the main reasons our wedding was so perfect! The dance floor was packed the entire night and they were absolutely amazing!! They even learned how to play a couple of our favorite songs!! A lot of our wedding guests could not stop talking about them that night and we have had several people reach out to us asking about them! They were a 12/10! We do not have ONE single complaint! They had the sound system perfectly set up for us during our ceremony, and they were ready to go when the reception came around! We can’t wait to go watch them perform more!!

Cancel Monday was the perfect choice for our wedding! They did a fantastic job MC'ing the ceremony from our entrance at the cocktail hour through the very end of the reception. More importantly for my husband and I, they kept the dance floor popping throughout the entire event. They knew exactly what songs to play to keep people moving the entire night. We've heard nothing but good things from our guests about the Cancel Monday's performance.

Jeff Michels (our contact with Cancel Monday) was very easy to work with and made preparing for the wedding a breeze. Jeff was very competent and knew exactly what we were looking for. His in-depth experience with weddings and other events gave us great insight into planning our reception. Jeff was communicative and available almost anytime we needed to speak with him. I cannot recommend Cancel Monday enough. You will not find a better wedding band than this group.

What a amazing band. My daughter used them for her wedding. They even worked with the best man as they had a special song they wanted to use for the first dance and the best man sang it with the band. Top notch talented group of musicians. Everyone danced all night. Thank you for your talent and energy to make the night so successful. Would hire them again in a minute.

Jeff and the entire Cancel Monday crew are TOP NOTCH. Look no further when you are searching for your wedding band. From the start, Jeff was easy to work with and made us feel as important as ever on our wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, Jeff made sure we understood timeline, wedding music and overall procedures on the day of. Jeff and Cancel Monday were outstanding through the entire process. Their professionalism and responsiveness made it easy to work with them since my wife and I live in Brooklyn, NY and did not make it out to Detroit that often. I also want to compliment them on their ability to not only learn the few songs we asked for, they learned a song I wrote as our surprise first dance. They made the night special and it was even more exciting when I heard guests talk about how great the band was and the mix was perfect.

After looking for some bands for some time, we easily chose Cancel Monday after the first time we saw them play. From the start, Jeff and the band were very responsive and easy to talk to. Each member of this band are skilled musicians and singers who brought a high energy to our wedding reception. They play an excellent selection of music that had guests of all ages on the dance floor until the very end. They are very down to earth and even interacted with some younger guests at our wedding. Jeff Michels has been amazing to work with. Quick to respond, and so helpful. Even in the midst of an unexpected tragedy, he never pressured any of us and is more worried about being a good person than money. So different from most people....I would hire them again without hesitation.

My family, friends, and husband loved having Cancel Monday as our live band for our August 2016 wedding. They were very accommodating and reasonably priced, especially for a live show and the amount of time they performed. They even helped us find a piano player for our outdoor ceremony. We really appreciate them playing on our big day! If you can splurge for a live band I really recommend booking Cancel Monday.

Cancel Monday provided an exceptional musical experience through and through. Their song selection was perfect for the event. They learned our formal dances and performed them beautifully. All of the band members are top notch musicians with some of the best vocalists in Detroit. I am a professional musician and private music tutor so my standards are very high and Cancel Monday exceeded my expectations. My wife and I couldn't have been happier with how easy Jeff was to work with. He knows exactly how to run an amazing wedding and makes the complicated process feel very simple. We were getting compliments about the band all night, and continued to get them long after our reception. My wife and I would highly recommend Cancel Monday for anybody looking for an amazing band to play their wedding.

We LOVED Cancel Monday! Our wedding was at Pine Lake Country Club in October 2016. We booked Cancel Monday in November of 2015 after seeing them at Motor City Casino. They were great! Jeff the drummer was awesome to work with both leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. Cancel Monday knows the right songs to play to get the guests dancing and enjoying the night!! They even played a couple of bonus songs at the end of the night for us because everyone was having so much fun. I would absolutely recommend Cancel Monday!!! Thank you!

Working with Cancel Monday Band, and Jeff, was a wonderful experience. We used them for our wedding reception in July, and they ROCKED IT. We had SO many compliments on the band & music!! Jeff helped us have a great reception by mc'ing the introductions, toasts, speeches, etc. They even learned a new song, so we could have them perform it for our first dance.
If you're looking at bands for your wedding, I HIGHLY recommend Cancel Monday. Also, they are not just your normal wedding band - you can go out and hear them play locally, which I loved.

Having a band at our wedding was a non negotiable. I'm so happy we found Cancel Monday band! They are incredibly professional and super easy to work with. Also reasonably priced compared to other metro Detroit bands. People had a great time dancing and really enjoyed the music until the very last dance.

Cancel Monday played at our wedding. On short notice they learned a new song we wanted to use for our first dance. After the first dance the dancing continued until the end. I have had incredibly good feedback from my guests about how much fun they had and cancel Monday played a huge role. This band was so great! They worked wonderfully with us on very short notice. We asked for acoustic cocktail music for the first half and some party/reception music for the second half and they did an exceptional job. All of my guests were very impressed. We ourselves have 3 little kids who were VERY into the live band and CMB included them, danced with them, made them feel super special also which was beyond perfect. CMB helped make our wedding extra special. We are so happy.

These guys are fantastic! I am the General Manager at a private country club and have worked with them for two years now. They are extremely professional, reliable and our members absolutely love them. The variety is great and works for all age groups. Every year after our event, I get phone calls from the members requesting them back as they made the night just perfect. I would highly recommend them for a wedding or any type of dinner/dance event.

The band was awesome! From the beginning planning phases they were extremely responsive and easy to work with. Jeff and team were flexible and willing to work with us on timing and set up. They were amazing to work with!! Extremely professional and flexible. And so nice! And, of course, they sounded incredible. They sang our special songs perfectly-you would think the original artist was in the room. Our guests had a great time dancing all night.

Great wedding band! They were very easy to deal with and everything went smoothly. They kept the dance floor packed all night and the song variety was excellent. We're very confident that we absolutely made the right decision by hiring this band over a DJ. Many people at the wedding said that the band made the party. I don't remember the dance floor ever being empty throughout the night. If you have any doubts about this band, don't because they bring it hard and will add an element to your party that a dj simply cannot.

Gifted musicians and vocalists; their song selections were perfect for a mixed age group, and everyone had a great time. They are very professional and accommodating. Highly recommend this band!!

This band was AMAZING for my wedding. My sister used them for her wedding as well in 2013. After seeing everyone party and have a great time at hers I knew that when I was planning my wedding I had to use them as well. They are super flexible and professional. They were on time and everything went so smooth. They got the party started and kept it going all night. Everyone has been complimenting us on how awesome the band was at the wedding. Highly recommend using them!!!

Cancel Monday was an incredible band! We hired them for our wedding in Ann Arbor and were REALLY impressed by their performance. Jeff Michels was a pleasure to work with and he made sure everything was properly coordinated. They have an enormous amount of experience and it really showed throughout our wedding reception. All of our guests told us that they were the best band they have ever heard at a wedding, and I certainly agree. You won't be disappointed if you hire them!!!

Having "The Band" at our wedding truly made the event. Not only were they accommodating and professional, but they knew how to bring a good time to life. All of our guests could not stop talking about the band -- even weeks later! They interacted well with the guests, getting them out on the dance floor and were kid-friendly, as well (what group of 7-10 year old girls doesn't love the chance to solo T-Swift?). Through every conversation before the wedding, Jeff was upbeat, professional, and instilled confidence that they were incredibly good at what they do. Not only that, the talent in the band was astounding! Cancel Monday had the dance floor packed for the entire evening, and a great time was had by all. At the heart of things, they truly contributed to an amazing celebration of the things that matter most -- good food, good drink, good music, and most importantly, being surrounded by friends and family on a special day.

(P.s. Every penny was worth it when it comes to Cancel Monday. They made the event in ways that a photo booth never could.)

Wow! Cancel Monday is awesome! They made the night amazing! We danced all night, up until the last song & then the crowd chanted for one more song! They seriously did an amazing job. They were flexible with playing our 'dinner mix' via their sound system, and then also entertained the idea of a close friend of ours performing our first dance. They then played an awesome mix of today's and yesterday's music - everyone in the room loved them! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an easy to work with, super entertaining, and awesome sounding band! 10/5 stars for sure!

We could not have been happier with the Cancel Monday Band at our wedding! Great music with a wide variety of genres. Every member is so talented vocally and instrumentally! Family and friends were dancing all night and had rave reviews for the songs played ("Shake it off" was a hit!). Very reasonably priced for the level of talent. Can not recommend enough for a wedding reception!!

Cancel Monday was INCREDIBLE at my wedding. They were easy to communicate with, very professional, and flexible throughout the event. I cannot say enough about the musical talent of this group. They know what they're doing because they kept everyone on the dance floor and brought tons of energy. I have received numerous thank you notes FROM GUESTS because they had such a blast and I've gotten countless compliments on the band. Thank you Cancel Monday!! We loved having Cancel Monday play at our Wedding. We danced the whole night and it was amazing. We liked that they played to the crowd and we loved their music. They were so helpful when we did our Grand Entrance and our iPod wouldn't work they played our song for us! I recommend them!

I cannot say enough about the awesomeness that is Cancel Monday. They came down to Chicago for our September wedding and gave us the best party we could have asked for. From the get go, Jeff was professional, up-front, and made us feel at ease. We were a little nervous booking them since we had never seen them live and wouldn't until the day of the wedding (only had a few youtube videos and audio tracks to go by), but they were perfect. The group is not only very talented, but is excellent at gauging the crowd and keeping everyone on the dance floor-- without sounding like a bad bar mitzvah DJ. We had a "New York style" wedding with music/dancing between courses and Cancel Monday's energy never lagged. A lot of our friends are accomplished professional musicians themselves and they kept telling us that the band was "legit." Monica was especially sweet with our younger cousins, who were dying to sing "Rollin' in the Deep" and "Call Me Maybe"-- letting them sing into the microphone for a couple verses in each song. We can't recommend them enough. These are REAL musicians without attitude.

The band played great music our entire night! They were very accommodating before the event, learned 3 new songs for our event, and met with both in person and over the phone to review everything. They play with professionalism and I can honestly say that every guest commented on the quality of the band. They selected songs that kept the dance floor full, and we had an a amazing night!

We absolutely loved Cancel Monday!! Jeff was amazing to work with, answering our questions and helping to guide us in planning our reception music and overall plan. On the day off, both Monica and Jeff did an amazing job making sure our reception went off smoothly (more than we can say about our actual wedding planner!). They even let my dad perform a few songs with the band! On top of being great to work with this is band is GOOD! Monica's voice is AMAZING and the band is really talented and entertaining. We have gotten rave reviews from our wedding guests! Our only complaint is that we didn't have enough time to just enjoy the band. My husband is already asking when we can check them out again!

If dancing is important to you, this band is definitely worth the money! We got tons of compliments and our dance floor was full the entire night. The only downside was that they weren't extremely straightforward about their songlist/ when they would do the bouquet toss, etc. But i'm sure if you were better about going over it with them beforehand it would be fine

Amazing band!

Cancel Monday was the perfect wedding band!! They had awesome music selections, from the acoustic cocktail hour to the upbeat dance music later in the night. Great mix of classic tunes and newer songs, we got SO many compliments from guests about the music. They were also super flexible when we had to change to an outdoor venue because of covid-19. I highly recommend working with them :)

We had this band play for our wedding reception and they are awesome! They have such a diverse playlist and get everyone up dancing. We couldn't believe how many comments we had from people who had never seen so many people stay until the end of the reception! The entire band is extremely talented and understand how to keep everyone interested the entire time. We could not have been happier with our selection. They were very flexible and willing to work with our preferences and it was great working with Cancel Monday.

We are beyond pleased with the service of Cancel Monday, and even though it was a bit more than we had expected to spend, it was worth every cent. We booked them for our wedding reception, and they arrived before our ceremony to set up, which was great because there would be no distractions/noise during the ceremony or at dinner. They had such a great energy to them, that even the people who did not dance was enjoying listening to them play (much more than you can say for most DJs!). And the people that do like to dance? They never left the dance floor! Nearly every guest that we have talked to since has complimented the band, and I could not recommend them enough for anyone looking for live entertainment at an event.

Hiring Cancel Monday Band was the worst decision of my wedding. After many phone calls and emails confirming everything, the band messed up our intro and first dance. They had the schedule and notes months in advance (verbally, in email, and pdf formats). They were supposed to introduce us as the new Mr. and Mrs. and then play the first dance song. Instead, they decided to play the hora and we were just standing awkwardly on the side waiting for the band to start our song. I tried to let them know to play our song but they didn’t pay attention. They just mechanically kept playing, not realizing they messed up. I specifically chose to dance our first dance BEFORE the hora so that we wouldn’t be as sweaty for the pictures/video or our first dance.
Additionally, we paid extra for a DJ and were promised jazz music during dinner, but there were moments that the room was just dead silent without music during the salad course.

I made a specific note that the speeches should be in a certain place, facing the bride and groom so we could make eye contact with our parents during their speeches. Instead, the MC decided to stand on the stage, which was the farthest point away from us and we could barely see our parents while they were speaking to us. This is a shame since we spent most of the time straining to see our parents instead of enjoying the speeches.
Throughout the evening, the band had sound issues and we were not happy with their overall performance.
We also paid extra for horns and we could not near them as we were dancing. In fact, I didn’t even know they were playing until I saw them in a photo later on. The band should have anticipated these sound issues ahead of time and corrected the problems before they started performing.
We heard Cancel Monday perform at my cousin’s wedding and they were fine, so it is a shame that they had such an off day during our wedding.
