On the spur of the moment, my daughter and I called for an appointment. Abigail was so accommodating fitting us in to try on Wedding gowns. Barbara and Tracy were so nice and helpful when we got there. They were patient and guided my daughter in helping her eliminate dresses to get down to just 2. We highly recommend this shop and the wonderful ladies who work there! A truly special (and wonderful) experience!

Found My Dress!
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, my original plan for my wedding dress did not work out. I was in North Carolina and thankfully Camille’s was able to accommodate my appointment with relatively short notice. I had tried on dresses once before and was fairly certain I knew the style I wanted for the day. I worked with Randi as the consultant. She was great! She was incredibly compassionate and helped me to enjoy the day in light of the circumstances. I tried on around 10 dresses (all mostly very similar styles) and was between two in the end. Randi was very patient as I made my decision. The dress I found fit perfectly with my vision for the day. I bought off the rack (which had a 10% discount) and Randi was able to ensure it was ready to go before I had to fly home. Thank you, Camille’s and Randi, for helping me find my dress!

This bridal shop had a wide variety of wedding dresses to choose from. All the dresses were absolutely stunning. The staff were incredible. I had Randi assisting me and she was so helpful and sweet throughout this process! Highly recommend going here to find your dress!
Camilles was an amazing dress vendor. I went with my sister and mom in July on a “big sale” week and picked my dress that day. It was the third one I tried on. Our consultant was very kind and let us walk around the shop to pick out designs we liked as well as chose some she recommended based on my vision. I never felt pressured or rushed. The store had a lot of options, but not too many where I felt overwhelmed. I was able to stay under my $1500 budget as well which was a huge win! Definitely recommend.

Every dress I tried on was fabulous! I purchased my dress in November 2020 and was allowed to try on unlimited dresses. I fell in love with the first one I tried, but I’m telling you they were all just breathtaking. The lady who helped me was named Emma and I HIGHLY recommend her.
Also, alterations with Camille’s is really awesome too! I’ve had horror story experiences in the past at other places (for prom dress alterations) so I was a little worried. But there’s no need!! They made my dream dress even more perfect for me!! Alterations side is very pleasant to work with

I can't say enough nice things about Camille's. From the get go everyone there was so kind and helpful! I called them with so many questions and concerns and they answered everything to the best of their abilities as well as very professionally.
Randy was the one who helped me find my dress. She was amazing!! I was nervous I wouldn't find a dress or it would be a total disaster, like you hear about sometimes, it was nothing like that!! Randy made me feel at ease and listened to all my needs. I told her what I wanted in a dress and she used her knowledge and expertise to help me find the perfect one. Even after I got my dress and had to go to the shop for various reasons, she always made it a point to come talk to me and check in on everything.
We also got all of our bridesmaids, flower girl, and mom's dresses there!! They went above and beyond to make sure everyone got there dresses in on time and treated everyone so kindly.
Our groomsmen also got their suits from there. They looked awesome! Even though some of the guys pieces didn't fit, they were able to get the right sizes to them before the wedding!
A HUGE shoutout goes to the alterations team! I don't have enough Thank You's for everything they did for us!! Even though they were very busy, they still made time for our dresses and perfectly hemmed them and altered them as needed.
I wouldn't go anywhere else to go dress shopping. It's not only convenient as a bride but the customer service was like no other!!

Joanne and Angela are the phenomenal owners of Camille's of Wilmington. I live in Charlotte, NC and would personally drive 3 hours to Wilmington and 3 hours back to Charlotte because there is not any other wedding dress shop that compares. I wore my dream dress; a Maggie Sottero Mallory Dawn. It was the elegant and timeless princess dress of my dreams! The whole staff at Camille's of Wilmington are beautiful inside and out. Everyone we worked with at Camilles was awesome! Emily helped me find a dress within my price range. I got my alterations done at Camilles and went back for 3 different fittings. I was so happy with the way my dress turned out!! I also picked my bridesmaids dresses from a Camilles. Truly a Blushing Bride
My dress was on a mannequin when I walked in the door at Camille’s. I immediately knew I needed to try it on! None of the staff were pushy or made me feel pressured about anything. I was free to say what I did or did not like about any dress and tried on several while I was there. However, my dress ultimately made me feel beyond beautiful. It was the only one that made me cry! It looked absolutely spectacular in the try on and even more amazing after the alterations! Speaking of alterations, I had a little confusion about one of my appointments and thought I was supposed to be getting fitted that day. They told me no, it was just a pick up appointment, but they quickly tried to see if anyone was available to go ahead and take care of my alterations since I had driven from out of town. A quick 10 minutes later and both my dress & I were all taken care of! I really appreciated their kindness & understanding, I felt special even with so many other brides needing attention that day. For my first look with my husband and finally time to show off this gorgeous gown, he even shed a few tears and told me how stunning I was. Awesome Experience
I walked into Camille’s of Wilmington very disappointed after a few long, unsuccessful dress stores. I’m from Shallotte NC and travelled to Wilmington in hopes of finding THE dress. Camille’s was very busy on a Friday during a holiday weekend and was unsure if they could work me in that day without an appointment. The owner saw the look on my face at the thought of having to come back, I helped me try on 3 dresses, and was able to devote her undivided attention to me. She suggested I wear the dress to the front of the store to see it in natural sunlight, and I officially said yes to my dress. They changed my entire day and wedding planning process around, gave me hope again since I’m planning a full blown wedding in under 4 months. I really can not say how pleased I am with the experience I had and their amazing gown choices. I recommend everyone go to Camille’s!

She picked out great dresses for me to try on. Melissa went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I ended up picked the first dress that I has saw when I walked in. It was incredible. Oh that they also had a veil and belt that matched perfectly!!! I was very anxious about the price because I have to stay within budget. The dress was only $800. When the dress came in and I went to my first fitting, the dress fit perfectly, all I need was it to be hemmed. Lorraine did a great job hemming it and doing my custom bustle. I knew what I did not want for a bustle, Lorraine worked with me to create a bustle that met my needs. The price of alterations and the bustle was great!! I would certainty recommend Camille's of Wilmington. I got my wedding dress here and enjoyed the entire experience! There team was very personable and helped me find my dream dress all within my price range. I ended up getting my dress off the rack and saved nearly $700! Afterwards their alterations team worked what I can only describe as their magic to take my dress down over 10 sizes! At the end the dress looked like it was made for me. I love the team at Camille's! Wedding dress shopping was the part of the wedding planning process that I was dreading. I had a terrible experience at another shop, and was despairing of finding anything that I would like. The ladies at Camille's were not only kind and supportive, but they encouraged me to explore the selection and try on lots of different kinds of dresses. When I finally found a dress I loved, we had a moment of terror when we realized that we might not have enough time to get made/shipped/altered prior to the wedding date. The staff at Camille's were able to find that particular dress, the only one in stock and available, and order it in time for the wedding. My heroes!
When the dress came in, they went through several rounds of alterations with me until it was perfectly comfortable. Lorraine is an awesome seamstress and was really encouraging and patient through that process. If you are looking for beautiful dresses, go to Camille's. If you are like me, and are a bit anxious about dress shopping, DEFINITELY go to Camille's! They are the most supportive folks around.

Wedding dress alterations – Camile’s fixed my wedding dress! I bought by dress from David’s Bridal and the initial alterations (hemming, taking up the shoulders) were done in house. And they did a HORRIBLE job (no surprise, right?)! So I took my dress to Camile’s to see if they could fix it, and they did a flawless job. Straightened out the hem, removed a belt (I replaced with a sash on the day of), fixed the fitting around the torso, and even added some beautiful lace detailing over the shoulders for some additional dress support. They also altered and cleaned my mom’s veil perfectly! Finally, they also cleaned by dress after I got it a little dirty around the hem during bridal portraits. I would highly recommend them for your bridal dress needs! Thanks Camile’s!

I could not have purchased my dress from a better place! I had tried on dresses at two bridal shops out of town and had an idea of what I wanted. I was not expecting to find my dress the day we went for our appointment! The dress was one of it's kind and was a size 12. The seamstress altered my dress down to a size 2 and she did a FABULOUS job! It came with spaghetti straps but I had cap sleeves added and you couldn't even tell the straps didn't originally come on the dress. Everything was perfect about it. My mother was going to be in town for one day and they were able to push my ready date back by almost a week just so she could see me in it. I had a great experience there and recommend every bride-to-be shop there.

This is the first place in Wilmington I looked when looking at wedding dresses. I tried on about 15 dresses, loved a lot of them and narrowed it down to my top 5. I had a few more appointments that day, and I expected I would find just as many at the other shops. I found maybe 2 more total from the other shops combined, but nothing that stood out. I made an appointment for the next morning again at Camilles and said yes to the dress!
The customer service here is awesome also. I was hesitant about the top of one of the dresses being plain, and the seamstress came out and showed me how the could add a belt to the trim to add more bling. She also helped show me where the top of the dress would sit when the dress fit correctly, as well as the length and bustle.
Pricing is very reasonable for dresses and alterations. I highly recommend them!

This is an AMAZING place. They will most definitely make your dream dress happen, even if you are a last minute walk in. The entire atmosphere is honest and friendly. While searching for the perfect dress you are neither rushed nor pushed. There is plenty of freedom and space to think. After saying "yes to the dress" there is a purple couch and a sign reading "I said yes!". The couch and sign makes you feel important. Once again this place is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone.

I attend quit a few events in the area and I know I can always find the perfect purse, jewelry, clutches, wraps, etc to go with my dress. They also have lots of formal and cocktail dresses. They are more than just a bridal shop.

This was the first store I even tried on any dresses at. They were very helpful and even convinced me to try on some dresses I would have never picked on my own. One of which, happens to be the dress I fell in love with and bought!

The owners and employees were very helpful and professional. I felt they cared specifically about my wedding and my dress and felt very comfortable. They had an amazing selection of dresses that looked gorgeous and expensive but everything was so reasonably priced. I would advice anyone looking for dresses for an event to go see them!! I also didn't feel like they were just trying to make money off of me unlike lots of wedding vendors and that was important to me.

Camille's was one of my last stops in Wilmington to try and find a wedding dress, as i had been to many other locations in Wilmington and could not find anything. I ended up with a Stella York dress that i am absolutely in love with! They were also very helpful when I cam back a few months later to look for bridesmaid dresses.

I have ALWAYS heard good things not only about the quality of the products you sell, but also about the way you do your business (good service and practices). I am a transgendered individual who has always admired your store from afar (online) and have gotten to know you as an individual. I finally made a decision to see your 'new' store a few weeks ago. I admit that I was a bit apprehensive at first (personal insecurity), but the second I came in and you began to help me look around, you were nothing short of respectful, helpful, and even offered a dressing area without my prompting. That is all I expect in life is to be treated with dignity from others (not special treatment). Upon leaving the store with an amazing dress, I realized something -- there are still good people in this world among the bad eggs. Usually I never write reviews because I forget or get too busy; however, in this case I needed to find time. I am a newlywed. I shopped high and low for the perfect dress and found it at Camille's. I purchased this dress about 6 months before my wedding. My fiancé and I had a little early wedding gift when we found out I was pregnant 3 months before the wedding. This wasn't the normal pregnancy with morning sickness, this was the eat everything you can find or you will be sick kind of morning sickness. Needless to say I put on 25 pounds in 2 months. I was miserable. The seamstress at Camille's literally redesigned my beautiful gown by adding fabric without losing the integrity of the dress. I cried several times between each dress fitting when I once again outgrew the gown. Camille's assured me at each fitting that it WILL fit on my wedding day. And it did, and it was beautiful. Two days before I walked down the isle I cried about my dress again, this time because I was so relieved that they made it fit and it still looked beautiful. Thank You So Much. I know this would never have been the case if I shopped anywhere else in Wilmington.

Joanne and Angela provide excellent customer service and the alterations by Angela were always perfect. She is a miracle worker. Their prices make me come back time and time again. The owner of this boutique was extremely helpful and eager to please. I was very satisfied with the service I received on 2/08/14 during the Stella York trunk show. I am so glad I found this gem of a business! A huge theme of my wedding was being eco-friendly and "green" and I wanted to stay true to this as much as I could---not only in the wedding ceremony and reception, but in all aspects of the planning as well. I knew I was not interested in finding my dress at a David's Bridal, but wanted to support a local store instead. Before visiting, I was skeptical about how many dresses they would actually have. Because they were smaller, I had no idea what to expect--boy, were my expectations exceeded! I could have spent all day in there store trying on dresses, if it wasn't for finding "the one" right away. The dress I purchased perfectly fit into my theme-it was a dress purchased by a bride online who didn't like the color of it so she sold it to the store. I was essentially re-using a wedding dress that had never been worn for a sale price of $199. I also purchased my veil here along with a pearl beaded hair piece. The two women were also wonderful to work with! I had procrastinated in getting my fittings in and she was able to schedule me in within the last week and a half leading up to my wedding day! I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for any type of formal wear!

This boutique is extremely reasonable, and the owners are very sweet. They have a huge selection of dresses, the problem is finding your actual size. I did not find my dress there (personally, I wanted to be the first person to wear my dress) but I was still very impressed with the store. Also, they have beautiful veils there for half of the price. They even said that they could make a veil for you, if you showed them a picture of a veil that you had in mind. I would definitely recommend for everyone to check it out. It is the most reasonable prices that you will find. And you coud at least get a veil and some beautiful accessories for a much cheaper price.

I tried on about 5 or 6 dresses then went to my appointment with David's Bridal and I couldn't forget how perfect the dress I eventually chose from Camille's was! I was so happy with the dress! The alterations turned out alright but there were some things that weren't really fixed and it was super expensive so I would maybe just advise people to go somewhere else for alterations. Other than that, I had a good experience with Camille's!

The groom and groomsmen ordered Jim's Formalwear tuxes through Camille's. Nice ladies work at Camille's, but the groomsmen all had issues with fit when the tuxes came in. Everyone needed some piece or other sent back for a different size. It was a good thing none of the men procrastinated picking up their tuxes. Thankfully, all replacement items did arrive to Wilmington on time. The fitting process was rushed and lacked accuracy. I think Camille's is a better place to shop for bridal gowns.

If you are looking for a less expensive dress, that will still look great, this is the place to shop. They have a variety of marked down new and lightly used wedding dresses. There are also formal dresses for bride's maids. The best part, when its all over you can sell your lightly used dresses.

Buying my dress here was a dream! I had already picked out the dress I wanted in another state. The saleswoman was super sweet and very accommodating. My issue with Camille's doesn't begin until late in the alteration process.
When I went in for my first fitting Lorraine knew exactly what she was doing and was also very conversational. When I returned for what was supposed to be when I picked up my dress I had lost a little bit more weight. The consultant/alterations person I had this time acted like losing a little bit of weight and the dress now not fitting was heinous, but also at this second fitting some of the services I had already paid for (cups being put in the chest area) had not been done. They made me pay AGAIN for the dress to be taken in which might have been understandable if it was completely ready and just needed to be taken in again.
When I came back a third time to try on my dress and pick it up, it was the same consultant lady who continued to be quite rude to me. She asked if I'd like to be shown the way to bustle the dress again and when she was showing me, kept rolling her eyes when I would ask simple questions about the bustle. Glad I'll never have to get something altered here again.

While this shop seems to be great for wedding dresses, I feel the website is very misleading for formal gowns. It boasted a selection of great formal gowns and a list of designers. After seeing a lot of high reviews (which in reading through most are brides' reviews) I was quite disappointed to walk in to see a couple of racks with typical bridesmaid looking dresses marked up, and one long rack of formal gowns, which were all very similar in style and not what I'd expect with the website and hype of this store. I saw none to be in my size or range of 0-4, and the price tags were pretty high for what the dresses were. Needless to say, driving two hours excited to find a gown turned into a 5 minute look through a quite disappointing selection. One of the ladies who worked there came over and asked what I was looking for but kind of pointed quickly to the selection and then went back to the bridal changing room area. Again, maybe formal gowns are not what this shop intends to sell a lot, or at all, but I think if Camille's isn't going to keep a variety of different styles AND sizes of formal gowns in stock, the website needs to be updated so nobody else is misled like I was.

Terrible Terrible Experience
At first my experience with Camilles was fantastic, Terah was the consultant that helped me pick out my dream dress. She was kind thoughtful and very helpful. I picked out my dress in December of 2019 which made my dress due in May 2020. Due to covid I wasn’t sure if that would make a difference in the shipping so my grandmother who is paying for the dress called about mid April to make sure my dress was still on track to come, their answer was that it was on track and should be here in the projected time. Great! May 20th rolls around and I get a call from Tracey, the store manager, informing me that my dress would now be arriving in Late August. I was confused by this considering we had confirmed it was on track just a couple weeks prior. Tracey gave me the option of waiting until August for the size I ordered or I could order a size up and they would be able to get it within two weeks of that, I agreed to do the size up due to myself being a very anxious person did not want to wait until August. Two weeks had past and I had not heard from anyone at Camilles about the sized up dress, so I gave them a call and they told me they would have to call the designer and ask them. (This was early June at this point) Got a call back from Tracey and she informed me the sized up dress that I had ordered secondary would not arrive until late July now. At this point I was really frustrated but understanding because of Covid-19 messing up shipping times. I decided if it was going to take that long that I wanted my original size and would wait until August. A few more weeks went by and I continuously felt unsure of the situation and confused as to why the shipping had been pushed out 3 more months. I decided to call the designer directly just to make sure that the shipping information that I had been told was truthful. A rep from the designer informed me that the dress had arrived there the same day that Tracey had called me and told me the dress would not arrive until late August (May 20th). Learning this information really had me flustered. I then contacted Camilles and requested to speak to the owners. I spoke Angela and Joanne, the owners and their response was that I had ordered a specific skirt on my dress and that the dress that had come in was the incorrect skirt, no one had ever told me that this was the problem and I didn’t even realize there were two different skirts with this dress. When Tracey called me on May 20th all she said was that it would not come in until August nothing about the wrong dress was sent. The owners offered no apology or understanding, she made it seem like it was my fault because I ordered a specific skirt. She ended the conversation by saying she would call the designer and get more information, I told her I would like for her to call me back with whatever information she received. I received a call from the rep from the designer that she gave me the wrong information and that she was so sorry, even though she gave the shipping tracking and everything that went along with my order number. A dress that was supposed to be mine did arrive on May 20th but it had the wrong skirt, no one informed me that someone on some end messed up the order. This was my story, at the end of the day with planning my wedding, this was the biggest headache of the whole process due to Camilles not giving me the complete truth of the situation with my dress. No I do not recommend Camilles of wilmington to anyone. I unfortunately got the bad end of the stick with this bridal shop and the owners made me feel like this situation was my fault when all I did was pick out my dream dress and trust them With getting it in. The only positive thing that came out of my experience with Camilles was Terah, that made picking my dress out special and the seamstress that helped me with the alterations. The rest was terrible.

Absolutely screwed over
Anyone that knows me personally knows I am laid back and treat everyone the way I would like to be treated. Also knows I NEVER leave bad reviews and I usually let things go. I am not the one to look for trouble. I try to see both sides of every point/story. And there is always two sides to every story. However today was nothing short of an absolute slap in the face and nightmare. What a terrible experience? And too what a sad thing it is for a first time young, excited, innocent bride to experience?! Today was my “pick up” day for my dress. Got in, everything was great. Until it would not zip up. Trusting and knowing and acknowledging that this was SUPPOSED to be the correct size. (Backstory) I came in the very first time and tried a 14 back in late October. WAY TOO SMALL! Okay? That’s fine. So we put in the order for the dress to be 2 sizes bigger for me. Which is an 18. Today for pick up day it was a 16. Of course it wouldn’t fit because it was not the correct size! It may be that there was some type of miscommunication? I am not sure. It was brought to my attention that it was due to my weight gain. Mind you this is within one month or so. In one month I supposedly gained enough weight for my dress to not zip. Yes, maybe, perhaps? That may be true, it may not be! Because I have literally not done anything different. But it still does not mean that the dress came in the right size to begin with… in the first place. Mrs. Tracy I believe the manager, asked my mother (who was standing up for me), “Do you think I am lying?” (When she remeasured me.) she kept asking me “But you like it, don’t you Lauren?” And putting me on the spot. Like I was the peacemaker. Of course I love the dress but it is too small! Keep in mind, I was wearing a thicker sweater because it’s December and freezing outside! I did notice also that the measure tape results today would probably be thrown off by my bulky sweater! Something to consider if someone has been in this type of business for so long? Would they not know this affects the true results? Of course the measurements will show differently. No apologies, no refunds OF COURSE, and no attempts to fix THEIR mistake for ordering the wrong size. So I am stuck with a $3,000 dress that does not fit. The only suggestion given was “taking some material out” or “sewing in a corset” which is something that I made clear I did not want in the beginning. Because of the overall look the dress would have. I am so sorry for the bad experience. However this was not professional, and certainly could have been prevented. If it had not been so forced in the beginning perhaps just for sales, commissions and profit, this may have been different. I am so disappointed. Absolutely ruined my wedding dress experience. And sadly will never have the chance to re do that back. Soon to be brides be cautious and very careful. If a company or business is not willing to own up to their own screw ups, and blame it so easily and quickly to weight gain versus ordering wrong dress sizes, maybe Camille’s is not for you. Why is it such a huge deal to return and receive the correct size? Especially it costing that price?! Praying that I will lose some pounds before my big day. I already have enough stress, and this is certainly going to contribute to it. Worrying myself to death that I’ll be able to walk down the aisle in this dress and marry my high school sweetheart, the love of my life. Money doesn’t grow on trees, and especially now with prices going up this was just a gut wrenching and heart breaking experience. So very sorry.

They pretty much ignored me. Only seem to want to cater to the younger women. I tried on 2 dresses that I chose & then just went elsewhere. Very dissappointed.

Buyers bewear!

Bought a dress form them understanding that there was no returns for online orders… so I found one I liked they ordered my size thinking if I didn’t love it I could return it before alterations… THAT IS NOT THE CASE. Rushed through paperwork not fully understanding. PAID IN FULL. My future husband is a Marine and got orders so we decided go a different direction before he leaves. I figured being it was an extenuating circumstance and most good business small or otherwise would be able to work something out but NO. They were completely UNWILLING to help in anyway, just good luck bye. Zero compassion or kindness. So if you aren’t 1000% sure about it and are sure that NOTHING out of your control will happen then don’t buy from them you’ll be out THOUSANDS and need to get a lawyer.

I’m never going back here ever again. I ordered a bridesmaids dress from them, got measured and when I got the dress, it didn’t fit. Actually, not a single part of the dress was made the right way. I took it for alterations and when they saw it didn’t fit they said “well I guess we can take it out as much as we possibly can and just hope you can breathe but it’s not likely”. I felt somewhat body shamed when I left there. I don’t care how much money or good reviews or business they get raked in, this is truly the worst place I’ve ever been. Very rude people and I hope that nobody wastes their time or money here.
