Brides, listen up! If you've dreamed of a magical outdoor wedding nestled within a gorgeous garden property, look no further. Camellia Gardens could not have been a more perfect choice for my husband and I to host our wedding. After considering 89 other local venues (yes, that's right!), I convinced my to-be-husband to come look at Camellia Gardens with me despite our 'perfect date' already being booked. We both knew the moment we arrived to the property that we would get married there - no matter the date.
Why, you ask? Well the property is privately nestled back from the road and other distractions. You're immediately greeted by a tranquil, garden-style backdrop to host your exclusive event for just the two of you and your closest friends and family... as if the property was gifted to you for the day. The site choices for your various events are endless, and nearly impossible to choose from, as they all offer their own unique touch and beauty. My husband and I chose to host our rehearsal dinner at the air conditioned barn, wedding ceremony under the grand oak tree, cocktail hour within the "secret garden" as I have lovingly referred to it, yard games set up on the lawn, dinner shaded from the sun under the brand new white tent (adorned with gorgeous chandeliers!), and continued our dance party celebration on the open-air terrace beneath the market lights. And if you can believe it, there are yet more locations on the property to choose from. We also loved that it allowed the groomsmen and bridal party to spend the wedding morning onsite getting ready in the bridal cottage and groom's lounge. One thing that potential brides should know is that Camellia Gardens provides a beautiful backdrop that you can make into your own vision, no two weddings will look alike. Start dreaming up your day, it's so much fun!
While the property provides the beauty for your big day, it's Marilyn who provides the support and sincerity throughout your entire wedding planning journey. She responded to every email, call, and text with grace and joy. She always had an answer, or would go seek one on my behalf... sometimes with a ruler in tow. She offered ideas, advice, and opinions when we needed it and a constant professional demeanor from our first site visit (and my second-sixth visits) through to the very end of our wedding day. She was there cheering me on during my bridal portrait sessions and gave us newlyweds a cheer from afar as we recessed back down the aisle. I know she went above and beyond for us that day and we are so appreciative. Marilyn was a huge part of our wedding story! (Thank you Marilyn!)
My only regret is that our perfect day has come to an end and I can't seem to convince my husband to let us do it all over again next month :)

My husband and I got married at Camellia Gardens this past June and it was the most perfect venue for our special day! Marilyn is a wonderful person to work with and made sure everything was absolutely perfect for our wedding day. The bridal suite is spacious and comfortable, the groomsmen have a nice space to get ready, there are multiple ceremony spaces to choose from, and backup spaces in case of rain! There is also plenty of parking available and golf cart valets for guests which we loved. The landscaping is beautiful and very well taken care of which makes for stunning wedding photos. Our guests had a great time and commented on how awesome the venue was for weeks after. We are so happy with our choice to get married at Camellia Gardens and would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for an outdoor, garden wedding in or around Charlotte! -

This venue and the staff were so wonderful through the whole process!!! Marilyn is so lovely and was always super responsive to any questions I had. On the day of her and her staff took phenomenal care of the entire wedding party and the guests as well! I could not recommend them anymore! -

My new husband and I cannot say enough nice things about Camellia Gardens and about Marilyn!! Despite a nearly 2-year long wedding planning process (#thankscovid), there was never a doubt that Camellia Gardens was where we wanted to have our wedding. My then-fiance and I toured CG for the first time in January 2019 and, even after touring 11 other venues in the area, could not find a better setting or host that we felt confident would make our day happen the way we envisioned. None of them had the level of commitment to us as Marilyn was communicating she would be more than willing to give us. Our original date was set for April 2020, and we had multiple visits with Marilyn leading up to that point (April 2019 when she hosted a tent garden party for all of her couples and their families and May 2019 when our two sets of parents were in town and wanted a tour), and she had offered for our vendors to tour with her at their convenience. Marilyn always made sure the day was going to be about us. ENTER COVID!! We realized that we would need to reschedule our wedding in March 2020, and immediately reached out to Marilyn with the help of our coordinator Whitney (It's A Beautiful Life LLC). Marilyn worked with us from March all the way up until our new date in September, making sure that we were given as many options as possible, to have as much of our day as possible, given the pandemic. We ended up having an intimate celebration last weekend with close friends and family with the help of Marilyn and her wonderful staff, where they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Everything was picture perfect and immaculate for our day, and our guests said they had the best time. Marilyn had been supportive even to them, making sure everyone felt safe at all times. Did I mention that Marilyn also opened up the venue to us the evening before at no additional cost so that we could have a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner with our friends and family at a location MUCH safer than a restaurant would have been? Wow. We really cannot say enough good things about Marilyn and Camellia Gardens. -

There’s so many things I could say about Camellia Gardens! First of all, the venue manager, Marilyn, is an absolute delight to work with! She is very responsive and professional! She takes great pride in this venue and for good reason! The venue is anything and everything you can look for in an outdoor and indoor venue! There are several options of locations on the grounds to hold your special day. Each wedding can truly be personalized! I had several people come up to me at the wedding and that contacted me after about how they can book with this venue! Just go visit the immaculate venue and it will speak for itself. This venue is the second place we looked at and we knew our search was over. -

Marilyn, the owner was an absolute joy to work with from the very first day that we toured the venue until the very last minute of our wedding. She will do everything within her power to make your wedding day spectacular! Take a tour, you will not be disappointed.

Alicia Sent on 05/15/2018This Venue is GORGEOUS. There are so many possiblities. Marilyn the owner is wonderful. She has an amazing personality. My only suggestion is the Bridal and Groom suites need upgraded. When getting Married we all want those detail shots and backgrounds are everything. I recommend this venue 110% you will not regret it <3 -

Stefanie Sent on 05/06/2018I recently had my wedding at Camellia Gardens and everyone raved about how beautiful it was. Throughout the whole process Marilyn was helpful and accommodating. The day of my wedding her daughter Virginia was on the grounds overseeing things and she was such a delightful addition. Our ceremony was held under the large tree and our reception was up on the terrace under the market lights. We couldn't have asked for better weather but the back up plan of the greenhouse never worried me because it is also beautiful. Our guests had a wonderful time and all of them have since told me what a beautiful venue the gardens were. If you are planning your wedding or any event really andyou want a unique space I would definitely suggest stopping by and checking it out.

Amy Sent on 04/08/2018Camellia Gardens is the perfect place to hold a special event. We were fortunate enough to hold our daughter's graduation party at this venue. The location was ideal as we were not sure if the weather would cooperate so the ability to chose to hold the event inside our outside up until the last moment is not one we could find in other venues. Marilyn, the owner, was very accommodating offering suggestions of what was possible based on the 'feel' we were looking to achieve. The facility was immaculate with a kitchen, restrooms and bar able to serve our setup. During set up we were having trouble with some of the ballon props and Marilyn was quick to remedy a solution utilizing her own decor to make the backdrop perfect. I highly recommend this stunning facility not only for the flexible venue options but for the personal service and the overall value. My daughters have both mentioned that this would be an ideal facility for their future weddings. I couldn't agree more!

Highly recommend!
If you're looking for a gorgeous indoor/outdoor venue that can accommodate both large and small groups, and you want a wonderful individual to work with, look no further than Camellia Gardens! My husband and I got married at Camellia Gardens in September of 2020. The wedding planning process can be so stressful, but Marilyn Eudy, the owner of Camellia Gardens, was so incredibly helpful and did everything she could to take the stress out of the event. From the moment you tour the location, you can tell that the grounds are meticulous and that Marilyn is committed to helping to make your day special. I also really appreciated that unlike other venues I toured, Marilyn wasn't pushy in any way. There are multiple beautiful locations to have the ceremony - a giant tree, an arbor overlooking a lake, and a small covered location for if it rains to name a few. Marilyn is also happy to prepare for an outdoor wedding while also making sure the covered location is set up in case it rains at the last minute. She works closely with your wedding planner (you are required to have a day-of wedding coordinator if you book at Camellia Gardens) to have the tables / chairs / etc arranged exactly as you would like. They have a gorgeous large drop tent that makes for a perfect dinner location, and the terrance is beautiful for dancing or cocktail hour. When COVID struck, so many things were uncertain. North Carolina released a 25 person maximum for gathering. Marilyn jumped into action and provided us with multiple creative options to either continue our big day with thoughtful modifications or to reschedule. We decided to keep the same original date with less people, and we're so happy that we did. I highly recommend Camellia Gardens! -
