We were so pleased with our wedding at the Camden County Boathouse! As soon as we looked at the venue, we knew this is where we wanted to have our reception! We wanted a reception site that wasn't the typical wedding ballroom. The staff was very helpful and happy to answer any questions I had up until the days right before the wedding. Our guests loved the balcony overlooking Cooper River throughout the night and the room looked wonderful. We had about 190 people which is almost the maximum for the venue, however, even with adding a bar inside the ballroom because of possible rain, it didn't feel too cramped. The dance floor was large enough for everyone to dance all night, also. We couldn't be happier with our decision and our guests loved it too!

Looking for an amazing and magical wedding venue? The Camden County Boathouse is that place! We had our wedding there on July 25, 2015 and we just can't stop talking about it! Also, neither can our family, friends, and guests. From the moment we walked in to take a tour of the venue Jeannette and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We immediately fell in love with the venue and booked our wedding. We not only loved the view of the Philadelphia skyline from the balcony, but, also, the outdoor ceremony space under the trees. The day of our wedding was wonderful! The open layout and physical structure of the Boathouse offer beautiful views and sunlight coming in at all angles through the windows. The dance floor is a perfect size. We had 130 guests and we had room to dance, but still intimate. The Camden County Boathouse and McFaddens Catering (DELICIOUS) exceeded our expectations!

First time using this venue. What a wonderful choice! The facilities are very conducive for partying and celebrating. Guests get to enjoy a large porch attached to the ballroom that overlooks the river. Working with Jeanette was a pleasure. You will need to purchase liability insurance. It's not expensive and worth it to have the venue. Want a Saturday night? Book early!

Elaine and Jeannette were so helpful when our original venue cancelled on us. We (and our guests) absolutely loved The Camden Boathouse. It was perfect! Visiting and deciding on The Camden Boathouse was one of the smoothest interactions we had. The contract, paperwork, and payments were very efficient and made us feel confident in our decision. The room and set-up was perfect. The assistance in letting us set up earlier that day helped immensely. We feel that it was meant to be.

The Camden Boathouse was so beautiful and we had so many amazing pictures taken from the balcony, river, and doors of the boathouse, which couldn’t have been done anywhere else. The price was extremely helpful and we appreciate the seasonal and booking discounts immensely.

The caterer, McFadden’s (Kevin) was excellent, from our first interaction with him and Debbie. We were taken care of; their food was so amazing (we are still having cravings)! Their service was beyond expectation and we need to express that among the other pre-approved caterers, McFadden’s food was excellent and the price was very reasonable with our budget.

This was all possible due to the excellent tour that Joe provided and the complimentary tickets to attend the Bridal Event hosted at The Camden Boathouse. The Camden Boathouse team saved our day and made it possible to have the best wedding reception we could have ever hoped for.

I agree with other comments saying that this venue is underrated! The boathouse was absolutely beautiful and easy to work with (yes, even though you have to pick outside catering!). I was afraid that an outdoor ceremony would be too loud with cars driving by but went with it anyway because of the view. I felt there were no issues at all!

This was one of the first venues we looked at for our wedding and fell in love with it immediately. It's such a gorgeous space right on the river and the lighting inside is wonderful! The staff was super helpful and answered the millions of questions I had clearly and in a timely manner. I'm so happy we chose the boathouse and would definitely recommend it!

We used the CCBH for our reception venue. It was a great little space that initially concerned me because for the amount of people that we expected, it would have been a very tight fit (we expected 210 people); however due to family backing out, we ended up having about 16 tables of 10-12 people, and it was perfect. The only complaint I have is the the room is sort of shaped like an "H"; the middle part is the dance floor, which is where the sweetheart table was and the ceiling is lower, so it just looks awkward. The top of the "H" is where I put our parents at, because they were closest to the sweetheart table, its alot further back then it looks so our parents didn't get to see us because they were so much further back.

Everything was great! They always responded to emails in a timely manner!

The view here is amazing! The staff is awesome! They do anything and everything they can to make sure your day is everything to Need and want!

The boat house is an absolutely stunning place to have your wedding. We got tons of compliments on it. We loved having our wedding here.

My husband and I fell in love with the boathouse the first time we saw it. We are so happy that we ended up using it as our wedding venue! The boathouse is absolutely beautiful and offers a great venue for couples looking for something a little different than the traditional ballroom type feel. One of the greatest things about the boathouse is the large dance floor! Our guests were on the dance floor all night and there was plenty of room for all 175 dancers! Additionally the room didn't feel cramped at all with all of our guests in it.
Furthermore, the staff is excellent! Elaine is so responsive and helps with anything she can. We are so happy to have such fond memories of a beautiful November night at the boathouse!

After looking through a bunch of different venues we came across this place for our wedding. We fell in love with it right away. It has a large spacious ballroom with a beautiful balcony that overlooks cooper river. All of this for a very reasonable price. The grounds were great for pictures and the staff were great.

I am a Philadelphia bride, but looked into New Jersey for my wedding venue, as it is a beautiful state to get married in. When I first visited the Camden County Boathouse, I knew I did not have to search any further for my wedding venue. It is a one-of-a kind venue with beautiful park grounds along side the Cooper River, and breathtaking views from the boathouse deck, with modern/contemporary design. I could have not picked a more perfect place to celebrate the most important day of my life. Talk about an elegant affair! My guests were in awe of the venue and decor I had set up throughout the venue. The price is excellent, super convenient that the boathouse provides uplighting for a nominal cost, and a huge bonus that BYO liquor is permitted, which saved us $$. Thanks to Kristen for answering my many questions, and a big thanks to all the staff that contributed to our special day. This bride and groom could not be more happier with the perfect outcome of our wedding day!

The Camden County Boathouse was the perfect place for my daughter’s wedding reception on July 7, 2018. Kristen was extremely helpful and answered our hundreds of questions. The security detail the night of the reception were pleasant to all of our guests. We had a wonderful evening there!!

Hidden Gem of South Jersey! Brand New Building (3yrs) located on beautiful river front property. 2nd floor ballroom with wrap around deck over looking the river. Bring in your own caterer off their list (i highly recommend McFadden's Lakeside) and alcohol. Low room rental fee. Max: 200 people but I would aim for lower as the room is not huge but does feel very intimate. The room is decorated nicely and the chairs don't need chair covers. Ample parking and great for pictures

We had out ceremony and reception at the Camden County Boathouse and loved every minute of it. From the spectacular views on the main deck, to the sun setting against the Philadelphia skyline....can't ask for more!!

The price was a great value for the amount of space, flexibility and scenery that you get from the Boathouse.

Jeannette was our main contact point and was always honest, informative, and professional with all questions and requests that we had. Even with last minute use of the overhead projector for a slideshow, Jeannette made it a point to make sure everything would work without any issues.

Perfect venue for a summer wedding. It provides many different background for pictures. And guest are able to enjoy the inside of the venue as well as the outside. I just had my ceremony and reception here at the Boathouse on June 8, 2019. We were blessed with perfect weather. Our pictures came out stunning. Our guest are still talking about the venue. We loved it. This was the only venue I looked at and fell in love. Thanks for having us!

As soon as I walked in the ballroom I knew we were getting married at the Boathouse! The entire building inside and out is absolutely beautiful! They have the best locations for pictures, a beautiful area for your ceremony and the prettiest ballroom I have ever been in! Everyone there was so nice and helpful and our wedding day was absolutely perfect!

We had an amazing experience with this venue. The location is so convenient, not only since it is close to lots of major highways and right across the Ben Franklin Bridge from Philadelphia, but also is convenient to many affordable hotels. The spaces inside and outside are incredible, and between the Cooper River Park immediately adjacent and the Philadelphia skyline in the distance, the views are breathtaking. We were able to hold our ceremony on-site, outside, however if it had been inside it would have been just as lovely given the newly renovated space inside. The staff were incredible, answered all of our questions thoroughly and promptly, and took away all of the stress of planning a wedding from a few states away. We will definitely recommend this space to all of our family and friends!

We had our wedding at the Camden County Boathouse on July 9th, 2016 and it was absolutely PERFECT!

My husband and I saw pictures of the Boathouse online after a recommendation from a friend, and we went to tour it.....it was the first and last venue we toured because we instantly fell in love with it! We loved the modern look of the outside, the view of the river, the beautiful deck off of the dining area, the ample parking (we were allowed to park in the business center across the street since it was a Saturday and it was closed).

We chose to go with an indoor ceremony (thankfully, since it was sprinkling that day). The wooden window blinds provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and we had nothing but compliments from our guests about the ambiance. The boathouse had also gone through some upgrades which made the night even better - the bridal suite was upgraded to include a few pieces of beautiful furniture for our wedding party to relax in (no more conference table) and the bar area was redone so that there was an entrance from the dining area. It was perfect! They also recently acquired uplighting, and were able to offer it to us at a lower price than our DJ. Bonus!

The staff at the Boathouse was also phenomenal - I worked with Jeannette throughout the process of visiting, booking, paying for the space (the online payment system is very convenient), and the wedding. She was incredibly responsive via email and patiently answered my seemingly endless list of questions! She worked with me to schedule two rehearsals (officiant scheduling issue), and was always accommodating when it came to my busy teaching schedule. She also allowed us to drop off decorations and non-refrigerated items the day before so there wasn't as much to think about the day of. On the big day, Erin and Heather manned the front desk, answered questions, and helped direct guests throughout the night.

If we could do it over, we would choose the Boathouse again in a heartbeat!

The Camden county boathouse was beautiful! Our guest raved about its great views, the deck, and the interior. The staff at the boathouse was great througout the entire wedding planning process. They were always very quick to respond to question and super helpful!

We had our wedding on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Camden County Boathouse and we would not have wanted it anywhere else! From the very beginning the staff at the Boathouse was very nice and was always there to answer any questions we had. Jeannette and Elaine made us feel at ease during the crazy planning days that come with planning a wedding. I’m very grateful that when we booked the Boathouse in November of 2014, they gave us a heads up that there would be dredging on the river and therefore were giving a small discount on the venue during the fall 2015. Lucky for us the dredging happened to be at the other end of the river the day of our wedding and it did not ruin any of the beautiful picture opportunities at the Boathouse. We had our ceremony off site but we did not want to pass up the opportunity to get pictures at the Boathouse. When sunset came we went up to the third floor balcony and got some amazing shots in front of the Philadelphia skyline. We also went out on the docks and got amazing pictures by the water. A little later in the night we went out on the pavement and got awesome pictures in front of the boathouse with sparklers which Jeannette and Elaine kindly gave us permission to use as long as we cleaned up the used sticks. Two days before the wedding, Jeannette and Elaine allowed us to bring all our decorations to the boathouse to store them in their office until Saturday. This was a huge help to us and allowed us to relax a little more on the wedding day rather than worrying about getting all the decorations there that morning. The interior decorations in the hall fit perfectly with our laid back rustic themed wedding and the extra side rooms were great for our photo booth and a room for the bridal party to throw all their belongings. Up to this day, when we see our family and friends again we continue to get complements on how beautiful and perfect the venue was. Thank you Camden County Boathouse for a PHENOMENAL WEDDING VENUE

The Camden County Boathouse was a gorgeous venue. We saw it online first and then went to see it in person-- and it was stunning. It was the perfect fit for our wedding. We were married in a private beach ceremony and then had the reception about 4 weeks later with our extended family and friends-- and everyone loved the venue and the boat/nautical theme really worked for our vision). The inside has a great layout and is beautiful, but also the large deck/balcony was perfect! Such nice views. The entire time we were planning the reception, the woman I was in contact with there (Jeannette) was so accommodating and helpful. She answered my emails so quickly and definitely put my mind at ease (especially since I had 100 different things on my mind at once with all the planning). I would recommend this venue to everyone!

What a beautiful venue for our January 7th 2022 wedding, perfect backdrop with the freshly fallen snow and gorgeous sunset and the Philly skyline! Wonderful space inside including a bridal suite! Kristen and other CC Boathouse staff were very responsive during the planning process up to and including the day of the event! Definitely recommend this venue, winter spring summer or fall, beautiful inside and out!

Omg this venue is beautiful and perfect for any event. Kristin and Maria were gems to work with. My wedding went off without a hitch. And you will get the most beautiful photos from the balcony/docks. Highly recommended.

This place was amazing!!!! My wife and I were looking for venues all over PA and Delaware. We didn't think New Jersey would be an option because we have guest coming from all over and wanted a place that was closer to our church in PA. Also, let's be honest, New Jersey isn't the easiest place to drive if you have never been there.

I'm extremely delighted to have gotten married at the Boathouse. The location was amazing, on a river in a park!!!! Were can you find that in PA or DE without paying alot of money or having to wait over a year to get the venue you want on a day that doesn't work for anyone!!!

We have 110 guest the fit comfortable in the venue, the space and the deck were great for taking pictures and mingling with guest. Please see this place before you make a decision on your location!!!! Also, the staff will allow you to walk around as they are setting up for a ceremony/reception. If there is a wedding on the day you go. Please go see the setup!!!! It will allow you to see how the space will be used.

The Camden County Boathouse is the perfect venue for a couple who is on a budget yet would like to have a classy wedding. The deck is beautiful and there is a lot of natural light; perfect for a summer wedding. We had approximately 180 guests. We used McFaddens catering as their pricing is very reasonable. They are very organized and the staff moves everything along swiftly which allows more time for dancing and other wedding activities. This place is not your typical cookie cutter wedding venue. The banquet room is very simple, but the deck and large windows is what makes this place such a gem. It is not your typical "hall" wedding with bad floors and drop ceiling. My guests had an amazing time. The dance floor is in the center which is nice. I am in love with this venue and hope to one day get to experience another wedding at the Boathouse.

The Boathouse is SO beautiful! The venue is true to the pictures and the views really are picture-esque, rain or shine. I got married there in April 2016 and the guests RAVED about how gorgeous of a place it is.
There are multiple ways to set up the venue for the ceremony and reception, with outdoor and indoor options. The people managing booking are very friendly and accommodating, as well as quick to respond when I've had questions. Would definitely recommend!

We have used the Boathouse for several years for our Corporate Employee Anniversary Breakfast. It has always been a wonderful event. The participants love the setting and really like the venue. Ala Cart Catering always does great food also!

Great venue for a smaller wedding. We had about 100 guests and it was a good space for that, and we could have fit more if needed. The room is awesome and has some beautiful views. The deck is perfection, looking over Cooper River and the park and also providing a great view of the Philadelphia skyline. Pricing was good, we paid extra to extend our time past the normal amount of hours only because we were having the ceremony there as well as everything else. They give you a list of about 5 vendors to choose from, I'd recommend A la Carte catering. You have to provide your own alcohol, only because it's a government building. The outside of the building is beautiful as well as inside. Everyone was helpful there and easy to keep in touch with. Great choice!

The boathouse staff was very friendly and answered all my questions promptly via emails. My wedding took place on a Sunday, and there was staff available making sure everything went as scheduled. Many of my guests praised about the location since it not only allows for an indoor wedding, but can also be easily converted to a formal reception by removing a dividing wall.

The venue was great. Great views, wonderful to work with and professional. They really helped me during COVID and rescheduling and even helped me out when my original caterer went out of business. Highly recommend they wee fabulous!

It's rare to give something all 5 starts when it comes to having a wedding. There's always something that goes wrong, but with the boathouse, my wedding was perfect. Jeannette who was my contact was so great with everything, she calmed down a very stressed out bride and made sure everything was in order. The venue is beautiful and everyone raved about it, I still get compliments a month after.

My husband and I got married on August 22 2015 and chose the Camden County Boathouse as our reception venue. We loved being able to choose a venue and then choosing a caterer to go along with our needs. The venue is absolutely stunning as is the ambiance and scenic surroundings. The wrap around deck gives it an added bonus!!! The staff was courteous and attentive from beginning to end! We had nothing but positive experiences with this venue and the staff!

We just had our wedding at the Boathouse on the 30th of October. I couldn't be happier we chose this venue! Everything was absolutely gorgeous. Jeannette Torres & the rest of the staff were great. Very attentive to our every need. The land surrounding the boathouse at the time of our wedding was PERFECT! Our ceremony was inside & the view overlooking the cooper river was beautiful.

I just got married at the Boathouse on 9/4/16 and it was the perfect venue for us! The views are absolutely beautiful and cocktail hour on the wrap around deck was my favorite! Jeannette was wonderful to work with, quick to answer any and all of my questions, and she was just super helpful through the whole process. I'd have my wedding there again a million times over, everyone raved about the venue and the best part is it's affordable!

The venue itself was perfect - the view, the amenities, the service from the staff (especially Jeanette). However, the weekend of our wedding was also the breast cancer walk and we were not notified about this until literally 2 days prior to the wedding. The day of was hectic and flooded with walkers, and the road was closed off. The day was so lovely once all of the stress from the outside died down a little, but such a large event is planned far in advanced and we would have picked a different weekend if we had been told beforehand. It was an unnecessary stress and panic to deal with and it should have been handled a lot better.

I totally agree with Stephanie's review. The Boathouse is not highly marketed so it's easy to overlook. My husband and I found it to be reasonably priced with interesting exterior architecture and a beautiful view of the Cooper River, which made it a stand out for our less traditional tastes while still needing to accommodate our more traditional family members.

Keep in mind: There's no real place to do cocktail hour other than in the middle of the dance floor, the downstairs lobby, or the upstairs hallway. Keep in mind, we only had our reception here, so I'm not sure how the transition is between ceremony and cocktail. The location also doesn't come up on some older GPS's, so be sure your directions between church and reception are "spot on."

However, it is off of Rt. 70 and less than a mile to the Crowne Plaza, which was good for our guests. We were TREMENDOUSLY happy with the Boathouse and hope others discover it, too!

We had our wedding here in Aug 2008, it was a fabulous venue. The location on the water is beautiful, the decor is casual but wonderful. We had 180 people at our wedding and a full dance floor and there was plenty of room. They have a bridal suite and a seperate room for food to allow for more seating.

The boathouse was recently renovated and it is SO NICE now. The balcony overlooking the river was our favorite part and we were lucky enough for great weather so we could take advantage of it. The scenery around the boathouse made pictures so easy. They also added a newly landscaped ceremony area (2 weeks before our wedding, eek!) which is such an improvement from what was previously there. They have 3 caterers to choose from. We went with Sensational Hosts and couldn't have been happier with them.

The boathouse was everything I wanted for my wedding and more! The ladies there, especially Kristen and Danielle, were responsive, attentive, and so sweet! The space was beautiful! The new ballroom and ceremony space are out of this world gorgeous!

The only thing that was a problem was the rowers on site. Now, I knew full well that they would be there...it is part of the contract you sign, however, the one coach was a total jerk and would not let us take photos on the dock (WHICH IS USED TO ADVERTISE THE BOATHOUSE AS A WEDDING VENUE). He was a total jerk about it and yelled at us very rudely. We also weren’t able to get pictures in front of the doors, as advertised, due to the rowers. So, definitely try to pick a month they aren’t in season. They also were running really close to the ceremony space which was annoying. Again, not the boathouses fault...but they really should have more of a plan in place for the rowers.

Beautiful venue! However, they really aren't flexible with things such as dates and caterers. You can only use their approved vendors. But their vendors are all wonderful! Definitely recommended!

This is the most beautiful setting for a wedding. We had my daughter's wedding here on 11/19/16, and the day could not have been more beautiful. The view is stunning, and because we had an unseasonably warm day, they were able to extend the time they spent taking pictures outside - GORGEOUS! This is really a four season view! The warm wood and bright windows set this venue apart from other NJ cookie cutter venues.

Initially interfaced with Elaine followed by Jeanette at the Boathouse. Even in the midst of a hiccup, staff were professional all the way. Much can be accomplished when people work together. Our guests just kept complimenting the space. It was a great choice to kick off the ROMBE Summit!

We held our ceremony on site. The location of the ceremony was not well thought out, there is a parking lot between the building and the ceremony site. While it is beautiful -the space is on the small side, creating a very short aisle to come down. This space is new (2019), and had not been built at the time we signed our contract. It is canopied under the trees, and faces the river - for $500, it does not come with seating - something to consider as 100 chairs could easily add another $150-200 to your bill for set up, rental and removal. Your caterer handles this for you. So you may end up with basic plastic folding chairs. Fortunately, the park setting alleviates the need for much in the way of aisle décor.

The remodeled interior is beautiful. It has nice views. You are the only event, so it is private.

There is a bridal suite, but there was no where for the groomsmen to wait, so my husband was upset that several times the guys tried to settle in to a space, they were asked to move and eventually ended up in the lounge area in the men's room.

They only allow the 3 caterers on their preferred list to come in, so your options here are limited. By the time you factor in all the rentals, the location, service charges, the caterer, etc -you're really spending around $150/head for a wedding here. Something to consider if you got sticker shocking while looking at all inclusive locations that tell the all in price up front.

The people who work here, will take their venue payments but really have nothing to do with the outcome of your event. That is entirely dependent on your caterer. The venue has a strict 1 hour clean up policy, so your caterer will want to end your event as close to 11 as possible so they can clean up.
