Amazing Calligraphy!

I can’t say enough great things about Cristine! Working with her last year for my wedding stationery needs as far as calligraphy went was amazing and she did a phenomenal job. Cristine addressed my save the dates and invitations and also did a wealth of other items for me, such as gift tags, escort cards, and table numbers. Every piece of her work is absolutely gorgeous and is of the utmost quality. She is also incredibly responsive and sweet and just a joy to work with. I really appreciated her constant updates and transparency into the projects. Her prices are very fair and she’s incredibly upfront about everything. She also gave me great advice whenever I was looking for direction. Her husband even hand delivered items to me outside my office, which was so nice of him! I hope to work with her again many times in the future.

Excellent Service!

Cristine did a wonderful job making our wedding signs for our block party wedding last summer! I sent her a few ideas I had via Pintrest and she completely nailed it!
I wasn't there when she delivered the signs the day before the wedding, but later noticed some of the ink had bled from transporting the signs from her car into the house on a rainy day. From my understanding the signs were covered during transportation but some rain drops accidentally made its way through (understandably). I sent her photos of the water marks and she immediately responded and came over to fix them. I was impressed with her professionalism and her work. I highly recommend Cristine for your calligraphy needs!

Cristine does beautiful work. I loved working with her for both my daughters’ wedding invitations. Calligraphy has always been an important touch, to me, for any special occasion. Her work is fairly priced and she is prompt and meticulous. You will be happy you called her!

Cristine was a Fabulous find! She was very helpful and efficient, and provided expedient, beautiful details to finish my save the date cards. I was initially nervous as we were across the country from one another, however our communication was easy, proofs were provided and adjusted quickly and we were off to print in no time. She then tackled the wedding invitations, envelopes, and day of items with the same excellence. This included many long, complicated international addresses! Everything was packed gently and shipped quickly to my doorstep, perfect presentation! I highly recommend Calligraphy by Cristine for the most discriminating eye!

Cristine was a pleasure to work with on a few different occasions that I utilized her services. She is quick to respond, and she works in a flexible and timely manner. I especially love that she has so many different styles of gorgeous writing to choose from so it will fit anyone's personality as well as the theme of your wedding. I recommend her to anyone who wants beautifully addressed envelopes, written place cards, invitations, table assignments, table signs, etc. I would not even think about using anyone else. Cristine is the best!

Christine is so talented and puts so much detail into her work. She did a fantastic job on our wedding invites; our guests loved them!!! It really added a very elegant, refined touch to the invites. She has amazing skills, and I think it is so impressive how many different fonts she is able to do; even to customize one just for you. She responds very quick, and has amazing customer service!! I highly recommend her services and will definitely be a return customer!!

I would give Calligraphy by Cristine 1 million stars if I could. I found her while doing research online for calligraphers for our wedding. Cristine responded to all emails quickly and was able to provide samples of her work in a variety of calligraphy styles and colors so we could choose which one would best suit our needs. I also found her prices to be very reasonable. Ultimately, we hired Cristine to do the following:

- Envelope addressing for a 100-guest wedding
- Place Cards
- Table Numbers

Rather than dealing with shipping, Cristine met me at a location near my office which ensured I was able to get things back when I needed them. Everything turned out really great and we received rave reviews from our guests!

I would recommend Calligraphy by Cristine to anyone wanting calligraphy to add to their special occasion.

I cannot say enough good things about Calligraphy by Cristine. She did our envelopes and our place cards for our wedding and they were flawless. Her turnaround time exceeded my expectations and her communication was wonderful. I was able to mail the place cards to her and put a prepaid return label for her to send back. I would recommend Cristine to anyone who wants flawless calligraphy, she was a great addition to our special day.

Christine is awesome! She is a pure pleasure to work with from the initial contact to the receipt of my Save the Date envelopes. Christine was extremely responsive regarding my questions and was very knowledgeable about etiquette which eased my worries. I was very pleased with the final product which was packaged beautifully! Cristine's calligraphy is stunning! I wanted our wedding invitations to feel special and I didn't want our guests to feel like they were just opening a card and her calligraphy did just that. I received many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the envelopes were. She has many different styles to choose from and was so easy to work with. I wanted to get our invitations out quicker than normal and she worked with me so I could get them out early. I would recommend Calligraphy by Cristine to anyone!

I highly recommend Calligraphy by Cristine. Her service was prompt and convenient. The calligraphy was beautiful. Since I don't have a car and live in Chicago, I extremely appreciated the option for drop off and pick up. Cristine was also very easy to work with. I had a couple of last-minute changes to the RSVP list, so I e-mailed Cristine and she was happy to accommodate me. I can't think of a more enthusiastic way to convey how much I enjoyed working with Cristine!

Working with Cristine was an absolute pleasure. She was extremely prompt and more than willing to accommodate all my requests. Cristine's beautiful calligraphy really gave my wedding invitations and place cards an extra special touch.

After working with a few wedding vendors who were somewhat lacking in the communication department, conversing with Cristine was a breath of fresh air. She always responded to my emails in a timely manner, and when you're a bride juggling so many responsibilities at once, swift communication does not go unnoticed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Cristine in person when I dropped off and picked up my envelopes at her home, and she is very warm and genuine. You can tell she truly cares about her work and takes great pride in delivering a polished product.

talent is unmatched anywhere else and she has so many styles to choose from to fit anyone's needs. She is the sweetest person to work with and is extremely accommodating to her long distance customers. I contacted her later than was polite, but she was so willing to fit me into her schedule and had them back to me very quickly. Although it was such a small part of my wedding, it made the biggest and best first impression for my special day.

Cristine does absolutely beautiful work. Cristine addressed our wedding invitations and did our reception escort cards, and everything turned out perfectly. She is organized, professional, and prompt, and I loved that she had samples of each style on her website so that I could choose. She also manages time very well, and was able to tell me exactly when she would need the final information from me to fit the project into her schedule, as well as exactly when the project would be completed. Cristine went above and beyond to work with my schedule, even picking up the invitations from my office for a small extra fee. I appreciated all the time and artistry that went into the writing, and I would highly recommend Cristine to anyone needing an extra special touch on correspondence or wedding paper.

Calligraphy by Cristine did the calligraphy for my save the date and wedding invitation envelopes. Work was really nicely done and Cristine was great to work with! She was quick to respond and very accommodating. She provides up to three samples of styles even before you signed the contract with her, which was so helpful and no other placed offered. She ended up customizing the calligraphy to match our wedding invitations, which turned out great. Guests were left wondering if we had printed out the addresses. :) I definitely recommend Calligraphy by Cristine to anyone! You wont regret it!

I write with enthusiasm to endorse Calligraphy By Cristine after engaging her for my daughter's wedding invitations. Ours was a formal invitation, and Cristine's calligraphy--on the outer and inner envelopes of over 150 invitations--much enhanced the presentation. She is very clear about the timeline required for completing the work; and the mailing back and forth--of the envelopes to be addressed and of the finished product--was seamless. The script we chose (to be written in grey ink, which she easily accommodated) combined formality with whimsy, and the result entirely met our expectations. Cristine further distinguishes herself in presenting a website that provides all the information a potential client is looking for, including samples of the many calligraphy styles she offers. We availed ourselves of her offer to send us samples of the three styles we were considering, which meant we could see a real example of her work rather than merely an online display. That exercise gave us clarity in choosing her work. Her rates were very much in line with others I explored. I would also say that while we never met, I very much enjoyed my email exchanges with Cristine, who was always responsive throughout the process and especially diligent in communicating the all-important mailing specifics when we were expecting the finished product. I am pleased to describe here our completely positive experience with Cristine and the beautiful contribution she made to my daughter's wedding.

My fiancé and I hired Cristine as our calligrapher to write the addresses on our wedding invitations. We don't feel like we could have made a better choice. Cristine did an absolutely phenomenal job with all our calligraphy work. She designed a unique, classy wedding invitation complete with matching reception cards, RSVP cards, rehearsal dinner cards and thank you cards. I was extremely impressed with her timeliness and responsiveness via email - she was a fantastic vendor to work with and I would recommend her to anyone desiring personalized calligraphy work for their wedding (or any other event!). She has great creativity with special regard to small details. She also had recommendations for where to order specific colored paper in order to match our wedding colors. We received numerous complementary comments from our guests regarding the gorgeous and classy hand written calligraphy on the invitations. Cristine addressed our inner and outer envelopes and did our escort cards. Not only was her work absolutely beautiful, but she was also friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. I know that some people don't think that calligraphy is important, but it really adds an extra beauty to the invitations. If you're on the fence about hiring a calligrapher, you should definitely contact Cristine. She will answer any questions you may have and do stunning work on your invitations, envelopes, or cards.

I can't recommend Cristine enough for brides looking to get calligraphy done for their big day. Not only is Cristine super talented and offers beautiful work - she offers tons of choices in fonts, is prompt in email responses and fast with getting all of your collateral back in a timely manner. We had to get a few more envelopes done for last minute additions and Cristine was really quick to accommodate the last minute requests! I did a ton of research before booking our calligrapher and her prices and work are very competitive compared to the others I've seen. She's wonderful!

I recently hosted a Baby Shower in Oakbrook. Cristine provided the most beautiful calligraphy for both my invitations and place cards. She was quite responsive and once I signed the contract with her I did not have to worry. Everything was executed in the most professional and elegant way possible. Her work represented the notion I wanted to convey to my guests; this was a very special occasion. And it was!

Cristine did an excellent job on the addresses for my wedding invitations! She is truly talented; everyone complemented the calligraphy, even a post office worker! The whole process was incredibly easy and she was very responsive. She was also able to accommodate me even though I was pretty last minute with reserving her services. If you are doing your invitation addresses only, just make sure you save one. I had her write one out to my grandparents who passed away when I was young. It is something that I will keep for a long time. I definitely recommend her!

Cristine provided the calligraphy for our wedding invitation envelops and signage for our wedding day (gift table etc). I could not have been happier. Her style of calligraphy is beyond anything I have ever seen. Her caliber or work is incredibly impressive, we received so many compliments. I used Calligraphy by Cristine this past spring for my summer wedding invitations. She addressed our wedding envelopes and created the table numbers for our reception. Cristine was wonderful to work with and the envelopes and table numbers turned out absolutely beautiful! We had so many friends and family members comment on the gorgeous calligraphy. The theme for our wedding was champagne, gold and ivory with peach and coral accents. Cristine used a gold/bronze ink on the envelopes and table numbers. The gold was stunning and very unique from the typical black you see used to address most envelopes. The beautiful gold calligraphy really made our invitations stand out! Cristine was dependable, organized, and had everything completed on time and to perfection. I felt her pricing was very fair and competitive to other calligraphers. I would recommend her in a second! We found Cristine on Yelp while searching for calligraphers to do our wedding envelopes. All the reviews said she was great, and they were absolutely right. From the first email, Cristine was a pleasure to work with. She responded quickly with answers to all our questions - mainly cost, amount of time to do the job and if she was able to do custom calligraphy. From there we set up a phone conversation so she could get a better idea of what we were looking for. As you can see in her portfolio, she's got a wide variety of font choices. We were looking for a combination of fonts in white ink on blue paper - quite particular - and Cristine was more than accommodating in every aspect of our requests. She was also able to work with us on delivery of the envelopes. We live in the city and her husband works in the Loop a few days a week, so pick up was a breeze. She even finished the job ahead of schedule.

When we opened the box, we were amazed at the quality of work. Everything was perfect and our expectations were more than exceeded. My wife and I both agree, the Cristine's calligraphy was the final touch our invitations needed and was by far one of the best expenses we paid for.

Her prices were the best we found in the area and we got way more than we payed for. If you're looking for someone to do calligraphy for your special event, look no further than Cristine.

Christine did a beautiful job addressing my daughter's wedding invitations and envelopes. She is very professional and talented. Christine has a lot or experience with graphic design and is knowledgable about style, color, texture and pattern. She is able to create any design you can imagine. She was very helpful with helping me edit the wedding invitations. I appreciated her attention to detail in making sure all the names and addresses were correct based on the list I gave her. Her schedule is flexible and I met her several times at a convenient location. I found her to be very prompt and responsive. Cristine is truly an artist: her work was absolutely beautiful. In addition to calligraphy, she also designed my invites and thank you cards. She really listened to me and understood my vision. The final product was a perfect combination of classic and modern--exactly what I wanted!

She literally worked all night to get my envelopes done in time for me (I was in town for only a weekend as I live overseas). She was very responsive, easy to work with, and went to bat for me with the printer to make sure everything was done in time. Finally, her pricing was very reasonable for the amazing quality and service.

Cristine was incredible to work with - she was very responsive to my emails, and any special requests I had (color of ink, writing on a diagonal, 2 types of writing, etc) she was happy to accommodate. She not only did my save-the dates, but also my invitations, and all the signage for my wedding (table signs and numbers, etc). She even met me halfway between her home and mine in order to deliver my order faster, as I was in a rush. AND....did a ton of work for me last-minute (literally days before my wedding) and FedExed everything to me in Florida with plenty of time to spare before my wedding at the end of the week. Her work is impeccable, and she is a very friendly and lovely person to work with. It was an absolute pleasure working with Cristine! Within a few days of contacting her, I received samples in the mail with her calligraphy styles. Each style is so beautiful and unique it was difficult to choose. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind to have her to do our wedding calligraphy! As a designer, I had very specific requests and ideas for our save-the-dates and wedding invitations, and Cristine was willing and able to accommodate all of them! She addressed the envelopes in “Caroline” and “All Caps” and even wrote words that I included on our actual printed save-the-date postcard. She sent me scans of words and I digitally included them -- the inside matched the outside envelope! I received so many complements and was extremely pleased with the result. Cristine was able to work quickly, within my time frame, produced the best work and always with a happy, positive attitude! She also addressed the inner/outer envelopes for our wedding invitations. I had a special font style request to match the font used in my invitation design. It was a custom script font and Cristine was able to replicate it. A true artist! It matched perfectly. She also did my place cards in the same custom font. Our guests were absolutely wowed! The impression of her elegant work, thought and detail made our wedding beautiful and unforgettable. She was able to handle the large quantity of addresses and envelopes and always on time. Each package was sent to me shipped in a nicely wrapped and secure package. Wow! Despite the big number of calligraphers that there seem to be on wedding blogs, finding one was more difficult than I expected. However, when I got in touch with Cristine, she was able to capture the exact font I wanted on the first try based on a few examples i had sent her way. She is so easy to work with and very prompt as well. We used Cristine's services for the envelopes, escort cards and dessert labels and they were all absolutely gorgeous. I HIGHLY recommend working with her, and you do not need to live near her to do so! We mailed everything back and forth and it was perfect.

Words cannot begin to express what an amazingly gifted Artist Cristine is! She is in a class all her own! Not only does she create absolutely drop dead gorgeous calligraphy~ she is truly a delight to work with! I am so glad that we found Calligraphy by Cristine for our invitations. She designed a beautiful suite for us, which she converted into a digital format that we could send to our letterpress printers. It was so beautiful--just what we wanted! Cristine made the name cards for all table settings, designed the ceremony programs and made a beautiful guest list that included table numbers. I loved all my vendors, and Cristine was no exception!! She provided calligraphy for our invitation envelopes, all of our place cards, and all our table names. She was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire year before our wedding. She was always responding instantly to emails, and offering suggestions based on things she thought would look better. On top of her amazing work, she was so flexible with exchanging items! My fiance worked downtown, and her husband was always willing to meet and exchange envelopes or place cards. I LOVED every single one of Cristine's lettering styles. I wish I could dictate and she could handwrite everything for me. If you live in Chicago, don't worry that she is located in McHenry, IL. Not only is she extremely wonderful to work with, easy on the pocketbook, and the BEST calligrapher in the Chicago area (out of 20-30 calligraphers that I found), her husband picks up and drops off your invitations at your office/home since he works a couple days a week in Chicago. I highly recommend Cristine and have already told my stationer to pass her name around.

Cristine was unquestionably my absolute favorite wedding vendor and I cannot say enough about what a delight it was to work with her, the quality and beauty of her work, and how many compliments we received on her calligraphy.

Although I live in New York, I found Cristine's website and was immediately impressed by the professionalism, quality of work and reasonable prices. As we began corresponding and throughout the entire process, Cristine was incredibly responsive to my e-mails and kept in touch on a very regular basis. She provided advice and suggestions whenever I asked, and seemed to instinctively understand what I wanted. Even though we had to mail everything back and forth (NY-Chicago), she was still incredibly prompt and got everything done with plenty of time and packed safely and neatly in the box.

When we received the box with the wedding invitation envelopes, my mother and I were stunned. They were incredibly beautiful and added so much to the overall effect of the invitations. Each one was unique and exquisite. As soon as our guests started getting their invitations, I literally got phone calls from friends and family asking us who our calligrapher was and telling us how fantastic it looked. When it came time for escort cards, there really was no other option than to ask Cristine to do them! She did a lovely white/silver colored ink on an eggplant card.

All in all, I would recommend Cristine to every bride out there who is considering hand calligraphy. And if you're not planning on doing hand calligraphy, you should reconsider!

Cristine was one of the easiest to work with people I encountered when planning my destination wedding! I didn’t receive my invitations until about a week before I wanted to mail them, so I needed them done quickly. This was no problem for Cristine. She always responded to my emails very quickly. Her husband works in the Loop and he came to my office to pick up the envelopes and then dropped them off when they were ready a few days later. I asked her which font she thought I should use and she actually did a custom one to match my invitations. The calligraphy was gorgeous. My aunt told me she could not believe a real person wrote it because it was perfect. I also used Cristine for my place cards and once again she was a lifesaver. I had the place cards mailed directly to her and she dropped them off at my friend’s house so I was would be sure to have them in time. Cristine’s prices were very reasonable also. Having a calligrapher do your invitations not only looks great, but saves you a lot of time and stress, so this was one wedding expense that was definitely worth it.

I do not have enough room here to sing Cristine's praises. She was an absolute pleasure and delight to work with. First of all, Cristine was extremely responsive and always answered emails and questions immediately. She offered ideas and suggestions in a positive and creative manner. Most importantly, her work is absolutely first rate. Cristine offers a variety of calligraphy styles, all of which are just marvelous. It was so difficult to choose which one we wanted! Our guests were really impressed by her work...I had several guests comment that it was the most beautiful calligraphy that they had ever seen. Cristine made a fabulous seating chart with all of our guests' names and table assignment on it, and it was just perfect and the talk of the cocktail hour. Working with wedding vendors can be a challenge at times, and I can easily say that Cristine was the best vendor I worked with. I highly recommend her, and in the future will look for excuses to engage her services once again!

I originally hadn't intended to use a calligrapher for our invitations but am so happy that I changed my mind and found Cristine. Cristine was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish...by far my most responsive and accommodating wedding vendor, to say nothing of her incredible talent as a calligrapher. All of my guests just raved about her calligraphy, and I believe it truly brought the overall look and feel of my wedding to a whole different level! I thought Cristine was amazing. Since i designed my own invitations, i wanted to make sure that I had someone who understood the aesthetic i was aiming for. I communicated my ideas to her and she took it from there. She did a spectacular job. I would recommend her to anyone. It was nearly the same price as having a computer do them all. What a deal.

Cristine did an excellent job on the calligraphy for our wedding invitations at an affordable price. The invitations looked beautiful! She made the whole process very easy – arranging pick-up and drop-offs around my schedule! I would highly recommend her!

Cristine did a beautiful job. We asked her to vary from the calligraphy styles depicted on her website and create a look complimenting the font used on our invitations. The result was elegant and timeless and we received many compliments. Cristine was also the best value -- we contacted three other calligraphers who ranged in price per envelope of $3.00 to $4.25 whereas Cristine did as beautiful work (and customized to suit our wishes) for $2.00. Finally, the turn around time was excellent even though we had to make some last minute additions and change an address. I would not hesitate to recommend Cristine to anyone interested in calligraphy for their event.

Cristine did an excellent job with the calligraphy, for a great price, and provided me with the results in a very timely manner. She was able to work within my odd time schedules as a bride, and was very nice about it. I would definitely recommend her to my friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Cristine in 2009, when I used her calligraphy services for my wedding invites. I can't begin to tell you how amazingly talented Cristine is! Every envelope was BEAUTIFULLY done. Every detail was perfect, and her calligraphy has set a new bar for my wedding. I was so in love with my envelopes that I wanted to hand deliver them to all of our guests!! Beyond her talent, Cristine was lovely to deal with. Calligraphy by Cristine was the best wedding vendor I worked with throughout my whole wedding process. Cristine did a beautiful job, and she went above and beyond by scouting around for paper sources for me- looking into the best (cheapest) options for me so I didn't have to, making arrangements for drop offs, pick ups, everything to be convenient for me. She is a wonderful person and she did a wonderful job.

Cristine was wonderful to work with for our wedding! We chose her due to the fact that she would mix colors to match our invites. We ended up having her do both the envelopes for our invites as well as place cards for the tables. Many guests commented on what a beautiful job she did on both the invites and place cards, and the "nice touch" it added to the event. I was in awe when I received the writing samples from Cristine. I chose my font and booking her services was an effortless procedure. She had my invitation envelopes done in a timely manner, actually before my requested date. There were a few spelling mistakes, but it didn't really matter because the envelopes were breathtaking and definitely in line with my vintage-themed invitations. All of my guests raved about my invitations and the calligraphy added that special little touch I was looking to portray. Thank you Cristine!

Cristine did the envelopes for our wedding invitations. She was extremely easy to work with and very professional and she has really beautiful calligraphy. Her website is easy to use and you can pick the font style you like. Having calligraphy on your invitations or envelopes is a really lovely touch to make your wedding invitations a step above the norm.

Cristine designed our invitation suite and did the calligraphy for several stationary items. Her work is absolutely gorgeous and I'm so happy with how everything turned out! The glam of the invitation really had a wow factor and looks totally original. We worked with her to design the suite and were happy with the turnaround time. The timing on the place cards closer to the event was also excellent. The only constructive criticism I have was that the envelope addressing/calligraphy is clearly her bread and butter - the invitation design process was rocky at times but if you have a clear vision and allow a few months before send off, I would highly recommend! The end product really is beautiful.
