Nathan and California Cookout really were a huge part of the success of our wedding. The professionalism and food were top-notch. Nathan created a filling and tasty menu that our guests loved. They also let us add kimchi and a vegan option to really customize and represent us. They were on time and did not need anything to get their job done. We appreciated them so much. -

We had a buffet at our wedding of approximately 100 guests and California cookout provided great food and the buffet line moved rather quickly. Everyone was satisfied and the staff was very friendly and professional. They even provided vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options. Would highly recommend. -

Booked with california cookout for my wedding, Unfortunately it was cancelled but Nathan made the process from the beginning to the cancellation soooo smooth. The taste testing he offered was fun and so good. Catering vendors can be the hardest and most expensive part of a wedding but going with them was the easiest. If and when I have an event on the books I will definetly contact Nathan again.
And to add another positive comment about Nathan himself, I had to cancel my wedding permanently meaning no postponing or anything. And he was supportive and didn't treat the cancellation like a transaction -

If you are looking for a caterer for any event, California Cookout is definitely the way to go. We initially reached out to him about catering our wedding and he invited us to one of his tastings. The food was absolutely delicious (uhm... they serve warm bread, how can you not go with them?). I would highly recommended going to one of the tastings. Nathan collaborates with other small business and we even found our wedding cake vendor through the tasting. He even let us come twice... to bring our parents and get the final stamp of approval!
Unfortunately, due to COVID we had to postpone our May 2020 wedding, but they have been great about postponing our event. This is a + in my book, because I've heard sooo many stories from other brides about vendors not being communicative or flexible with them. We really appreciate how above and beyond Nathan has gone for us. This is a company we would love to use for events in the future.
As far as the food, the menus have a lot of variety which is awesome. They are also very willing to work within your budget. We went with the tri-tip & grilled chicken (which are carved onsite during dinner service) and the upgraded sides. Nathan was very accommodating with food allergies/substitutions. We have a couple guests with nut allergies and he agreed that their salads would be served/dressed separately as the salad contained walnuts. In addition, we have some vegetarians in attendance and ordered a veggie lasagna as an add on.
Overall, the value and quality of the food is spot on. It was very easy and straightforward to get a quote and book for the event. Communication has been great, and we truly appreciate the flexibility during this time. :) -

Nathan and his team were amazing! The food was delicious! They made our wedding day just perfect! They showed up early and their set up was beautiful and their customer service was great. I didn't have to worry about anything. I highly recommend them for any event you may be considering. -

My husband and I chose California Cookout to cater our wedding and we were very pleased with the quality of food and their service! Everything was ready on time and tasted delicious! Nathan and his team are very friendly and very helpful! My guest were pleased with the food as well, and told me all through out the night how much they loved it! Nathan even took the time to show my Mom how to use and prepare coffee, with the coffee machine at our venue and provided us with cups last minute when we realized we forgot ours! His customer service and friendliness exceeded our expectations and I would recommend him and his team to anyone! -

California cookout is awesome. I hired them to serve at my wedding. We had tri-tip, chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies along with some other sides. The food was amazing. Everybody at the wedding commented on how great it was. The service was 100% professional. Nathan went above and beyond our expectations. I would recommend California cookout to all my friends and family. Being the prices are so reasonable they can be used for all types of events. Something else that I loved about California cookout, the prices they have posted online are the actual prices you are charged (not including tax of course). In looking for a caterer they are the only one, out of what seemed like hundreds of places, that had accurate pricing with no add ons or hidden fees.

Food was amazing, made sure we had food to eat before greeting guests. Was amazing to check in before they left and let me pay that night so I didn’t have to stress before the end of the night
