We used Calandra’s Bakery in Caldwell for our wedding cake in November 2025. They worked with us to pick the perfect cake for our celebration. Their tasting process was so easy and fun! Our guests we so impressed with the taste and appearance of the cake. We loved how it turned out, from the icing to the flowers and the filling, it was a perfect wedding cake for a perfect night. Great experience!
Our cake was included with our venue and we chose Calandra’s. We had a private tasting of all the available flavors about 2 months before the wedding. Aisha helped bring our vision to life with inspiration pictures and it looked amazing the day of! They were very easy to work with. We can’t wait to eat the top layer in a year! -

Everything was great. From the tasting to the day of. We did a private tasting, which was nice so we could be honest with each other without feeling like they were sitting there listening to us. Calandra’s wedding cake tasting was easy & fun. They offer a variety of flavors to choose from, giving you a lot of ideas. We went with a vanilla cake with custard and fresh strawberries for our wedding day & it was the cake of our dreams! The cake was delicious, and we received so many compliments on it. Ayla was great to work with and answered all questions in a timely manner. We cannot wait to enjoy our cake on our first anniversary next year, too! -

We couldn’t be happier with the cake from Calandra's! From start to finish, the experience was wonderful. They were incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and really helped us bring our vision to life. We wanted a cake that was not only beautiful but also reflected our style and taste, and they absolutely delivered. It was exactly what we dreamed of!
Our guests were raving about both how gorgeous the cake was and how delicious it tasted. So many of them said it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had!
Additionally, we had a bit of a mishap on the day of our cake trial—we got lost and ended up arriving 30 minutes late. We felt awful, but they were so kind and gracious about it, and still gave us a warm, welcoming experience. The cake tasting itself was a highlight of the process, and the service was top-notch.
We highly recommend Calandra's for anyone looking for not only a stunning cake but also a wonderful experience from start to finish! -

I grew up with my Italian NJ family saying "Calandra's is the best," and they were 100% right. We went with a vanilla sponge caked with a raspberry mousse filling, which ended up perfectly matching the color scheme of our wedding. Everything was decorated beautifully, and it was fluffy & light after heavy cocktail hour and dinner. Months after the wedding day, people are still reaching out to me to ask about what flavors the cake were / where they could get more of it. :) Thank you for a delicious and beautiful cake! -

Highly recommend
Our wedding venue gave us the choice of a bakery and we chose Calandra's Bakery. We definitely made the perfect choice! The staff at Calandra’s was very welcoming and knowledgeable! When we walked in, they had a private table set up for us and gave us all of the time in the world to sample their delicious cakes and pastries. The cake choices were so delicious, we had a hard time choosing! In addition, we were not pressured into adding additional items to the cake. Maria took her time to help us design the cake and mixed different ideas to get to our dream wedding cake. On the of day of the wedding, our cake looked perfect and even better than I could have imagined. It was DELICIOUS! Three layers, three flavors! We also really appreciated the instructions on how to properly store the top of our wedding cake so that when we have it on our first Wedding Anniversary, it will still taste amazing. We highly recommend Calandra's. -

Calandra’s was the preferred vendor of the Park Savoy. The tasting was delicious and very fresh. The cake we chose was two different flavors. Chocolate cookies and cream and chocolate fudge . It was delicious ! The restaurant in the bakery is also great! -

We loved our wedding cake from Calandra's! They hosted a wonderful in-person tasting and were so friendly and kind from the moment we walked in the door. The cake was fresh and so delicious! Many of our guests mentioned the cake and how much they enjoyed it. We upgraded to funfetti (amazing decision) and alternated tiers with vanilla & caramel custard. So yummy! -

Calandra's Bakery made our wedding cake experience both delightful and delicious! Our tasting appointment was very fun - my husband and I brought my dad with us, who enjoyed the variety of cake samples (all of which were very generous portions!). Once we were done tasting the different flavors, we talked through layers and design with Aisha, who made the process so seamless and practically mindless (which we appreciated since our heads were in a million other directions with wedding planning). We ended up with three great layers (cannoli, red velvet and strawberries w/ custard) decorated with cascading sugar flowers, and it was a show-stopper! -

Loved my galaxy wedding cake and so did my guests. So many people said this was the best cake they ever had. The chocolate with cannoli cream was amazing! The second tier with strawberries was so fresh.
Had a second cake made for my brother in laws birthday that fell on my wedding day and it was fantastic as well! -

Amazing bakery
Calandra’s was delicious. The lady we met with for our cake tasting was so amazing- she was professional, allowed for us to enjoy our time and did not try to push any extras. Their cake was fresh and so delicious- our wedding cake was UNREAL. They delivered on taste, presentation and I had not one issue. I highly recommend Calandra’s for the most perfect wedding cake! -

Delicious!
Our venue partners with Calandras for wedding cakes, but even still we knew it would be amazing. We were easily able to schedule our cake tasting, even if it was a little different with Covid. They give SO many flavor options it’s crazy. Since our cake was going to be 3 tiers, we were able to pick 2 different types and then a combo of both for the top tier which our venue gave us to take home. We wanted a super simple cake design and weren’t looking for anything fancy, but the cake was beautiful and was truly delicious. Got a lot of compliments on it! -

My husband and I got our wedding cake from Calandra's and we were so happy with our decision. From the moment we arrived for our tasting consultation, we were beyond impressed. We sampled over two dozen combinations of cake and filling, which is more than any other bakery offered us during our consultation. Everything was fresh and delicious. We especially liked that you could taste the flavor and it wasn't overly sweet. The people at Calandra's were very helpful and so easy to work with. We chose a simple piping design, with flowers added on by our florist. We had three tiers, with cookies and cream, red velvet, and vanilla cake with fresh strawberry. It should be noted that my husband is not usually a fan of red velvet, but he loved it from Calandra's and insisted we get that filling for one of our tiers. Our cake looked absolutely beautiful on the day of our wedding and even 4 days later, our leftovers still tasted as fresh as they did on our big day. We met with a few other cake vendors that our venue worked with and some of them wanted to charge additional, ridiculous fees just for some simple piping designs. Calandra's did it all and had the best quality cake. We are so glad Calandra's was a part of our special day and we will definitely go back for our one year anniversary cake! -

We had two choices of bakeries to decide between for our wedding and we went with Calandra's, hands down. We had our tasting and we knew from that moment that was the bakery for us. The flavors were so delicious and the variety was outstanding. Then when we saw what the cake would look like, we couldn't wait! It was everything we wanted and more. And to have people actually come up to us AS the wedding cake was served to tell us how delicious it was, well that should say something. I know that there are many times i don't even eat the cake at a wedding, they can be so tasteless and horrible. Needless to say, my husband and I ate the top of the cake already. Why wait? LOL! Fantastic!!! -

Made the process so easy
My husband and I got married in September 2019. Our venue suggested a different bakery for our cake, but we wanted to make sure we were getting the best, so we decided to do a cake tasting at Calandra's as well. While the other bakery served us stale cake with limited options of flavors, Calandra's served us a whole tray of cakes, each topped with a different icing, that tasted as if they were right out of the oven! We met with Aisha, who was very responsive and knowledgeable and impressively helpful.
Once we decided to go with Calandra's, we met with Aisha and helped us to design the exact cake we wanted (even though we weren't sure exactly what that was at first). She also offered us a second (complimentary!) cake tasting during the design meeting.
On our wedding day, we could have NOT have been more pleased with the final product. Our cake was beautiful AND delicious! I'm not exaggerating when I say that Calandra's made choosing a wedding cake FAR AND AWAY the least stressful part of planning our wedding...it was even PLEASANT, which I can't say for most other parts of the process. We are THRILLED and are already planning to revisit for celebration cakes for years to come! -

When we met with Aishah, we had a feeling this would be the place we ordered our cake from. No other bakery was as fresh as this one. She gave us exactly the design we wanted and didn't try to upsell us on anything. We have the top tier frozen (which we got to choose our own special flavor for), the middle tier was completely gone, and the third tier we got to bring home about 2/3 of it and IT WAS STILL DELICIOUS THREE WEEKS LATER when we got back from our honeymoon. -

Aisha is fantastic to work with! She is able to create the most beautiful cakes that taste amazing too! She takes notes of all the things you like and want to help create the cake of your dreams. They also helped me throw in a surprise groom's cake as well! All were delicious and amazing! I only wish we had more leftovers to take home and enjoy! ;) -

Let me start off by saying my wedding day was the PERFECT day, from the weather to the ceremony and the flowers and most definitely the reception. When looking for a cake, my venue gave me two options that they would pay for a standard cake for, Calandra's Bakery or Palermo's. I had been to a bunch of wedding expos at this point and was able to try a lot of Palermo's cakes and it was alright but didn't really blow me away.
I set up an appointment at Calandra's with Aisha and came with my fiance the following week. When we come for the appointment, Aisha was the sweetest and made us feel so comfortable. She gave us a tray with an assortment of about 20 different cake-filling combinations. WOW, the next was better than the one before. I always thought that the wedding cake was just a beautiful thing to be seen, but I didn't know that it was actually going to taste amazing too. We decided to upgrade our cake a little and go with fondant with four tiers. Aisha let us do whatever we wanted to the cake, even allowing us to have a different cake on each tier. I brought in the colors of my bridesmaids' dresses and Aisha was then able to make the sugar flowers on the cake match them perfectly. I brought in my own topper and the cake was just PERFECT! This cake really blew me away. Not only was it picture perfect, but it tasted delicious. I cannot thank Aisha and Calandra's bakery enough for helping make my wedding day perfect. -

I cannot thank Aisha enough for helping me to choose the best cake for my wedding day. It was a stressful period for me. My venue had the cake included and I had 4 bakeries options. Honestly, sometimes the one that has the most rating is not the best.
The attention that Aisha gave me was great.
Not only that, she listened to me. I didn’t want anything too sweet and not too plain. We got the perfect cake! Delicious.

We ordered our cake from Calandra’s and it was absolutely delicious! We had the chocolate cake with a caramel filling and vanilla cake with raspberry preserves. The three tiered cake came with our venue and the staff were polite and patient in offering us other options. I wish I could eat this cake every day! -

We had 2 choices of bakeries included with our venue, and as soon as we tasted Calandra's cake at a wedding expo, we knew we had to go with them. We wanted a pretty simple looking wedding cake, it was more important for us to have a cake that tasted good! And that's exactly what we got. The cake tasting was incredible, so many different combos to choose from. We went with 2 different combos for our tiers: vanilla cake with canolli cream filling, and chocolate cake with raspberry jam filling. Both were INSANE! We got so many compliments on how awesome the cake tasted. It also came out beautifully! They decorated the cake exactly how we asked. They were very good at responding to e-mails up until the day. Already looking forward to having a slice of our frozen wedding cake for our anniversary! If you want a beautiful cake that tastes insanely delicious, go with Calandra's.

We worked with Aisha, who was so attentive and always available to review the design and talk about any concerns we had. Our cake had three layers with three difference flavors, one more delicious then the next. The cake tasting process and is fun one! We gained a few pounds because of it, but it was worth it :) If you want a beautiful quality wedding cake, go to Calandra's!

Our venue already sends their bride and grooms to Calandras bakery for our wedding cake. I was able to reach out and got a quick response to schedule a tasting. At the tasting they gave us many filings on both vanilla and chocolate cake. This is honestly the best cake I've ever tasted. After the tasting we sat with Maria and she went over the flavors for each layer and how we wanted it decorated. I reached out to order a grooms cake and they were spot on to the photo I sent for inspiration. The cakes looked and tasted amazing on our wedding day! -

Delicious and pretty
This is the cake company of venue works with so we didn’t search through other vendors to find them. The cake the day of was lovely and delicious! We had 3 tiered cake a different filling in each tier. They offer a tasting which I highly recommend to taste all of the flavors. Any add one and custom fillings like berries were a lot more expensive so we went with a plain cake design and got extra flowers from the florist. Delivered on time and in perfect shape, couldn’t have asked for anything better! -

ONE STAR -- Heartbreaking Disaster for Our Twin Daughter's First Birthday
ONE STAR -- Heartbreaking Disaster for Our Twin Daughter's First Birthday
I am absolutely shocked and heartbroken by the way Calandra's Bakery handled our daughters' first birthday cake. We paid $400 for a custom cake -- and even had to supply our own candy hearts -- and the entire bottom tier collapsed. The cake was constructed incorrectly, the dowels were tilted, and it was sliding off the base. This was not our fault -- this was baker incompetence. The baker was Alida.
When we called to report the disaster, the manager Tony was rude, dismissive, and nasty. Instead of helping us salvage the cake, he blamed us, said we should have paid extra for delivery, and then had the nerve to tell us we should drive 35 minutes away, wait 30 minutes while he "fixed" it, and drive 35 minutes back -- all while our twins party was happening. Absolutely unbelievable.
After threatening a fraud dispute, Tony finally sent a replacement cake -- which was just a plain white cake with basic piping, looked nothing like what we ordered, and:
* Arrived late (promised 2:20, showed up at 2:55)
* Our event ended at 3
* Was stale, ugly, and poorly decorated
* Had gray piping, not the promised rainbow design
When we tried to get an ETA for the replacement cake, Tony did not answer any of our phone calls. When it finally arrived, his attitude was the same -- dismissive and rude -- telling us to "be patient" while the delivery men shrugged at the ruined original cake and tossed it aside.
No apology. No compensation. When we asked for compensation, Tony yelled and blamed us, despite the cake being a complete failure due to their mistakes.
We were celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime milestone for our daughters, and Calandra's Bakery ruined it entirely. For $400, you expect care, professionalism, and a beautiful cake -- we got disrespect, incompetence, and heartbreak instead.
Do not trust Calandra's Bakery with anything that matters. -
