What a wonderful experience! Tara is an absolute delight. She made the cake planning seamless and stress free. I'm really picky with cakes in general but Tara definitely made me a believer--her cakes are delicious. I highly recommend her and am planning on ordering again in the near future.

Tara did a fantastic job with our cupcake tower and cutting cake! She was so easy to work with, incorporated our style seamlessly and the cake was delicious!! We initially ordered just the cupcake tower, we had a friend baking our cutting cake but when that fell through 2 weeks before the wedding, Tara added the cake no problem and everything was so reasonably priced. I would book Tara again in a heartbeat!

We had a great experience with Tara and booking our wedding cupcakes from across the country. We weren't able to taste them before signing, but it was an amazing decision! We went with almond cupcakes and buttercream frosting. They were so delicious and beautifully displayed, not to mention affordable compared to many others in CT! My only regret is that I wish I had gotten to eat more cake on our wedding night! She even went above and beyond when we were unable to return the cupcake tower after the wedding. So glad we trusted the many glowing reviews and would definitely recommend!

Tara at Cakes Unlimited is a cake genius. She was the first baker we went to for a tasting, and we booked her right on the spot for our wedding. Not only were her cake samples delicious, but her designs were exactly what we wanted. She had great suggestions for how to make our cake perfect, worked well with our florist, and delivered everything we asked for on time. And it was AMAZING. I have dreams about this cake still. Even better, her budget cake option allowed us to give our guests a beautiful and delicious cake for well under what we planned to spend.

Tara is such a talented baker and artist. Her cakes were so good at our trial that I ordered two cakes for different occasions before our wedding. Mounds Cake filled with Bavarian Cream and topped Buttercream Frosting (the perfect amount of sweetness, perfect!!) I recommend Cakes Unlimited to everyone!!! I cannot wait to order more cakes from her in the future.

Our wedding cake from Cakes Unlimited was a huge hit. It was so delicious, moist, and eligant. People had seconds and thirds. Our taste was stress free and smooth.Their owner took to extra steps to ensure our cake was all that we dreamed.

Cakes Unlimited did a great job at creating our wedding cake for us. Tara reviewed pictures along with our own visions for our cake and created exactly what we were looking for. She was also fantastic at finding a way to limit the amount of fondant used as we did not want to use much of it but still wanted the clean look it gives cakes. We, and our guests were very impressed with the end product and would recommend Cakes Unlimited to anyone for any occasion!

We visited three local bakeries for wedding cake tasting, and Cakes Unlimited was the best combination of service, quality and value. Tara was always responsive and helpful leading up to the event, and made many suggestions (sending me pictures, etc.) to refine the design. She also incorporated our cake topper (suggesting ways to tie the design with the cake) and worked with the florist to add flowers. The cake was beautiful and delicious and we received many compliments from guests on the flavor. Some were sad they couldn't have more cake!

Tara made our wedding cupcakes and cutting tier. She did a wonderful job. She is very professional. Her cake tasted amazing and everyone at the wedding loved her cupcakes. She is priced reasonably, and well worth the money. She did a great job with all of the cupcakes and our cutting tier. She made the cake table look beautiful and she made it the cupcake tower look exactly like I imagined it. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding cake or wedding cupcakes.

Our cake was beautiful and delicious! My husband who does not like take, had seconds! They customized a beautiful cake for us that fit our vision perfectly.The flavor of the cake was great and we can't wait to use them again!

When our previously booked baker cancelled on us at the very last minute (we're talking less than 3 weeks before our wedding!!), Lisa was right there willing to come to our rescue. She worked with us and our vision and we couldn't be happier with the result. The cake was beautiful, delicious, and exactly what we had wanted. She was professional and responsive, and we would 100% recommend her to family and friends!

We chose to do cupcakes instead of a formal wedding cake. Lisa from Cakes Unlimited was awesome! She put together a bunch of different flavors for us to try, some which we requested, and others she thought we might like. They were absolutely delicious. I loved the idea of cupcakes because cake has always felt too heavy for me. The frosting Lisa makes is very light and fluffy, and you don't feel weighed down by sugar. Plus, the fruit mousse filling we chose were SO good. I highly recommend the strawberry mousse with vanilla cake and vanilla frosting. It tasted like strawberry shortcake. We got so many compliments from the guests about the cupcakes too. The presentation as well was adorable. I gave Lisa my colors, and told her we wanted something fun and cute, we got just that!

Our wedding was October 26. Lisa at Cakes Unlimited was a pleasure to work with throughout our wedding planning. We met with her in the early spring to sample a variety of cakes. We ended up going with a yellow and raspberry swirl cake with chocolate and raspberry filling - so good! The decoration was exactly what we were looking for too - three tiers, with some texture and flowers. From our first meeting to our wedding day I was always confident that she would deliver a delicious and beautiful cake for our wedding day. I plan to work with Lisa for future events!

Lisa helped make our wedding perfect! She is a true professional that unlike many of the bakers we met with is willing to tell you the truth. With her help, we were able to pick the correct combination of cake, fillings and frosting. Our cake was not only stunning but absolutely delicious!

We brought Lisa a picture of my dream cake and....she recreated it perfectly, 5 tier alternating rounds and squares with bling, ribbon, and scroll work.

Now we all know that many wedding cakes are a bit dry and have little taste. NOT Lisa's cakes! Our wedding cake was moist, flavorful, and absolutely perfect.

My only regret is that I did not pack up a bunch of slices for myself to take on our cruise. It was so delicious that I am still craving it more than a week later.

If you want the BEST at a very reasonable price, do yourself a favor and meet with Lisa!

Cakes Unlimited was on our venue's preferred vender list. Great prices, Amazing cakes. When we went for a tasting, Lisa had made a whole little cake for us, along with some cupcakes to try out, so we got to have friends taste it too, since it was way more then we could eat! The cake was beautiful, very nice and simple. I had sent her a few pinterest links of things I liked, and let her decide what worked for the venue since she had worked there before.

Lisa is wonderful!! She will listen to what you want and look at pictures - she offers suggestions - my cakes was just how I envisioned it! It was so beautiful! After our tasting at Cakes Unlimited, my husband and I were completely wowed by the flavor and moistness of the cakes we tried and with the flavors of teh different fillings and frostings we tried. We brought a piece to my mother-in-law and to my parents to try and they were equally as wowed. And the pictures of the decorated cakes I'd seen gave me the feeling that we had found the right person. Lisa was easy to work with, and got exactly what I was thinking as far as design.

I was so excited to see my cake on the day of the wedding. It was perfect. We received a lot of compliments about how it looked, but we received even more compliments about how it tasted. A number of our guests commented on the fact that wedding cakes tended to be a little dry or bland or just mediocre overall...but that ours was delicious. And it was. I was so excited for it, I made a point to get my piece at the reception!

I would definitely recommend Cakes Unlimited to anyone looking for a special event cake...and I plan to use them for all my future cake needs!

We cannot say ENOUGH good thinks about Cakes Unlimited. The owner, Lisa was so kind and made great suggestions for our cupcake/cake topper. She did an absolutely beautiful job with decorating the whole cupcake-tree, cake topper, and table. Our guests were blown away with how delicious and unique the cupcakes were. It was a masterpiece! I highly recommend the business to anyone for any event.

She is very kind, helpful and patient as we we very unsure of what we wanted at first. She will provide guidance if you need it in a very unintrusive and unoffensive manner. Cakes Unlimited was amazing! They were recommended to me by a co-worker and from our first meeting on things went so smoothly. I fully trusted Lisa to deliver a beautiful and delicious cake and that is exactly what we got. The quality of the cake was better than anything else we tasted and the cost was by far the most reasonable around. Paid a very reasonable delivery fee because our venue was about a 45 minute drive each way for them. Would highly recommend!

What an absolutely wonderful cake. Lisa took the photos we sent her and made us a gorgeous cake. She was able to take our idea and put her unique design elements on it, and tastefully incorporate our flowers. They offer plenty of icing and filling options - the strawberry mousse was fresh as promised and oh so refreshing on a 90 degree day.

We went with the budget option, which is a three-tier "cake" with a real bottom layer and frosted stand-in middle and top layers, and a sheet cake in the back. We got the look we wanted without paying for it!

For our wedding, we wanted to be a bit non-traditional, so we had a cupcake tower! We also as a couple like different flavors, so we ended up choosing 3 different cupcake flavors, plus another flavor for the cake topper. My husband was really set on a banana cupcake with a caramel filling. Lisa at the time did not do caramel fillings, but she started, just for us!

Lisa was great to work with, and very creative. She really impressed me by expanding on ideas that I had mentioned to her. I had envisioned a cupcake tower with different leaves on each to show what flavor it was. Lisa then created these amazing custom colored leaves made of fondant that looked like they were growing out of the cupcakes. It was a beautiful, modern, nature inspired tower of delicious cupcakes.

Lisa was great! Very flexible and the cakes were delicious! Many guests told us it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. We wanted something different so had three separate, coordinating cakes in three different flavors, along with cupcakes for the kids. Our guests loved it and many tried more than one flavor. The cake that Cakes Unlimited made for my wedding was absolutely beautiful!! Not to mention delicious! Anytime I had questions or needed a question answered, my phone calls were answered immediately! the employees were so kind and always there to help! I highly recommend Cakes Unlimited as a baker! Every year for my anniversary I will be reordering my wedding cake, but on a smaller scale!

I got a chocolate cake with cannoli filling and a white cake with strawberry mousse. The cakes were not only beautiful but tasted amazing! I had such a hard time finding someone who would make me a wedding cake with cannoli filling and i'm glad I had to search because I found this amazing bakery! They were so easy to work with and so pleasant they made me feel very special.

Lisa is a wonderful decorator!!! She is a magnificent job on my vineyard themed cake. She matched the colors perfectly. Not only did the cake look beautiful it tasted incredible. Our wedding cake from Lisa at Cakes Unlimited was AWESOME! It was so delicious and looked beautiful as well! I was a bit picky about the cake decor, but Lisa worked with me in detail via email, complete with sketches and pictures of mock cakes that she created. Lisa was unbelievable! My husband and I decided we wanted a cupcake tower w/ a small cake at the top of the tower to cut at the reception. Not only were her cupcakes and cake so delicous, but the presentation of the tower was amazing! We got so many compliments on it! She was so reasonable and did everything to make her "creation" so personable, which it was! I would recommend Lisa at Cakes Unlimited to anyone in the Litchfield County are for your wedding cake and/or wedding cupcake tower!

I wanted a non-traditional wedding cake and they did an awesome job! It was delicious and I've received so many compliments from the guests. Fully recommend.

Wonderful tasting cake and so beautiful. I was very particular about how I wanted it to look and what kind of frosting I wanted. Lisa was so accomodating and personable. She even let me try frosting twice. We got exactly what we wanted. Get your cake here and you won't be disappointed.

We met with Lisa a month or so before our big day, She was wonderful. She had just returned from vacation and was worried that she didn't have any cake for us to sample. She was so nice, we went over what we were looking for, reviewed her cake book and than we designed a cake to fit our needs with her expert advise. She delivered on time a beautiful cake that tasted marvelous. We even ordered a small cake for a smaller party the next day that she had boxed up for us.
Every one at the reception enjoyed the cake.
I would encourage anyone to try out her cake.

Cakes Unlimited did a fantastic job with our wedding cake! We opted for the budget option cake, which was a unique offer to build a three tier cake with only one real cake layer and provide sheet cakes on the side. It came out beautiful, it was a great value, and it tasted fantastic! We had compliments from many of our guests about how much they enjoyed the cake. Tara was very easy to work with and responsive on both the phone and over email and she provided delivery for an extra fee as well. My only suggestion would be to supply the floral for the cake, I would have paid more not to have to work that out on my own, but overall that did not take away from how happy we were with the results.

Cakes Unlimited was a great vendor. They had a vast selection of flavors and Lisa was able to guide us through the process. We really enjoyed the tasting and getting to chose a fun flavor we liked as well as a more neutral flavor everyone was sure to enjoy. She made a huge 4 tier cake with two layers, chocolate orange and vanilla. Everyone loved the chocolate orange and thought the frosting was so pretty. Also her gold cake stand looked lovely in pictures. Thank you Lisa! Highly recommend her to anyone.

We loved cakes unlimited. We met with Lisa a few months before our big day and she gave us her full attention and let us try anything that our hearts desired. Everything was very easy and exactly the way that we wanted it. We had vanilla cupcakes with lemon filling and chocolate cupcakes with her home grown strawberry filling. The strawberry filling was the hit of the party! We had a few issues with emails, but if you call they are always there and willing to talk and get back very quickly. Overall the cake was amazing and we loved the service. We will definitely be purchasing all of our cakes from here in the future.

Cakes Unlimited was bay far the best cake place as far as fitting in with my budget and finding a friendly atmosphere to work with. The employees are friendly and more importantly the cakes are yummy! They worked with me in designing a beautiful fall themed cake that everyone at my wedding seemed to love. I will definitely recommend them to anyone!

We went with the beautiful and trendy 3 tier cupcake tower with a top cake. The top cake was decorative and had our letter on it. great cake vendor.

We had a little trouble meeting with her in the beginning, but it was well worth it. The cake was beautiful, better than I could have ever imagined... and on top of that it was the most delicious cake I'd ever had! My relatives still mention the cake whenever they bring up the wedding. I recommend cakes unlimited for whatever cake needs you might have.
