Best cake ever!

We chose the champagne cake and it was phenomenal! Lyssi did an amazing job and the cake was delicious and gorgeous.

The absolute BEST cake!

Lyssi made us a “trial” cake because we had a very specific request of what we wanted. She blew us away with it. So much so, we ordered 3 more cakes just to eat before our wedding. Our cake was super important to us because it was the vision of our whole zoo wedding and she went above and beyond. We ordered a three tier and a sheet cake and we didn’t even get to have any because our guests kept going back for seconds. We received SO many compliments about how it was some of the best cake people have had! She’s amazing!

Amazing Cakes!!

Lyssi's cakes are the BEST!! She made delicious Tiffany box cakes for my bridal shower & the most beautiful/delicious cake with a Tiffany blue bow on it for my wedding cake! We tried the champagne with fudge frosting in the middle - wonderful! She is really great to work with! 5+ stars!

Highly Recommend!

Lyssi did an amazing job making pastries for our son's first birthday party! She made custom cut out cookies, cupcakes, and an adorable smash cake with a beluga whale on top. We got so many compliments on both the decorating and the flavors. Lyssi was also incredibly responsive with emails, which was very appreciated as I teach during the day and can't always do phone calls. Highly recommend Cakes to You!

Beautiful Cake

So easy to work with. Picked up samples from the store. Brought them home. Made our selection. Picked the cake from one online and tweaked it slightly to our style. Did the whole order over the phone and they nailed it. Great job and tasted great. Stunning cake!

Lovely service and an incredible cake!

Debbie at Cakes to You was such a joy to work with. She was kind and warm to my family when we came in for a tasting. She chatted with us like we were old friends. Leading up to the day, she reminded me about the flowers and cake topper and when I could bring them-- which was so helpful! She was understanding of my concerns about my fragile, handmade cake topper and treated it with care. The cake arrived on time and beautifully done. Not to mention, it tasted incredible! The cake for my stepdaughter Krissy's wedding was absolutely beautiful. Not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted great tool. Donna worked with us in choosing the right flavors and style while staying within the budget. We couldn't have ask for a better experience.

After the testing we knew right away this was the company we wanted to work with. The staff was came in contact with was super nice and the cake was amazing. We heard nothing but compliments on that cake after our wedding and people asking where it came from. Highly recommended!!

Holy smokes!! This is the absolute happiest I could have been for my wedding cake vendor! I put all my trust into this place and it PAID OFF! Super affordable and absolutely gorgeous! Cakes to you allowed me and my husband to do a tasting and then followed through with one of the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever seen! They are an incredible value and their customer service is through the roof!! Please if you are considering a place go with them!

Our wedding cake was not only beautiful, but delicious, as well. We got so many compliments, I believe 'elegant' was the word used most often. The ladies were also wonderful to work with. We upped the cake size twice and they were nothing but helpful.

I have always liked any, and all caked, but Deb's cakes are like heaven on earth! I have actually known Deb since she was working out of her home before opening her own bakery. I had found out she opened her bakery by accident after moving back from the west coast, and was so happy to be reunited with my favorite cake lady in the whole world! Even when Deb worked out of her home, she was so accommodating, and her work was beautiful, and original. She had previously done two cakes for my family that couldn't be done anywhere else because they were characters, and needed to be air brushed on. Deb made the cakes look exactly like the picture! We had the pleasure of her beautiful work not only for our wedding, but my bridal shower as well. The women just raved about the cake at the shower, and were elated when they found out the same bakery was doing the wedding, too! I look forward to all occasions when i can use Deb again for her beautiful, and delicious work! I wish I could post a picture of my gorgeous wedding cake, it exceeded my already high expectations! I can't thank Deb enough for making our wedding more special with her stunning centerpiece, our cake! :)

When we were wedding cake shopping, I wanted to make sure we decided on a place that could provide both a beautiful cake but one that tasted good as well. My husband’s family lives in Mentor, and had previously had pleasant experiences with Cakes to You. So we decided to try it out, even though our wedding reception was in downtown Cleveland. Turned out not to be an issue at all, as they offered delivery services all the way to downtown. After our delicious cake tasting, we couldn’t decide which flavor we enjoyed most, so we decided to go with several layers as follows: Champagne, Black Tie-n-Tails, Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Filling.
The day of the wedding, I was taken-back by how beautiful our wedding cake turned out. Cakes to You brought my Pinterest wedding cake vision to life!! I wanted something simple yet elegant, and that’s exactly what I got. However, I’m not sure what was better, how beautiful it turned out- or how much everyone enjoyed the taste of it. The cake was a huge hit at the wedding; multiple people asked me if they could have a second serving. Thank you Debbie, we were so pleased!! Definitely ordering from you again for our next event :)

I am really excited to have Cakes to You prepare my wedding cake. The owner was wonderful when we went in for a cake tasting and was very patient with all of our questions. I brought my flower girls with me to help pick out a good flavor (and for something fun for us to do together). She had a great selection of so many different cakes and had a separate room for us to sit in. You can get different flavors for each layer if you want, and even the least expensive cakes are gorgeous!

I loved working with Debbie. She was very helpful in making my vineyard cake come true! It was even more beautiful then I imagined. My friends and family loved how it looked and was amazed how great it tasted! We decided on the lemon with raspberry filling. Wish we had extra for our one year( we ate the top )!

We found Cakes to You at a bridal show and were offered a sample of cake. It was delicious and prices were reasonable. We set up a consultation and were amazed at the flexibility / options to vary flavors, shapes, sizes, colors and pricing. We again sampled cake and it is by far some of the best cake we have ever had! We chose a 4 tier cake and had sheet cake in the back. We ordered cake for 300 and had 230 at our wedding. NO CAKE WAS LEFT! Everyone loved it. We barely got to eat any. Best advise - order extra and make sure they set aside some for the bride and groom. As far as cakes to you - the far exceeded our expectations! We plan on ordering cakes from them in the future! Best flavors - champagne and black tie/tails!

Debbie did a FANTASTIC job with our cake! It came out better than we had hoped! Her hard work to make an icing design that we deemed impossible actually came out looking drop dead GORGEOUS! We are still having compliments about our cake almost a month later! THANK YOU DEBBIE!!

We decided on the Champagne flavored, which was amazing! We we were told a story about a guest who loved it so much that he had 4 pieces! (we had extra left over). Cakes to You is amazing!

I chose this vendor because she was a preferred vendor with Quail Hollow Resort. The cake we ordered turned out perfect! Our colors where Navy Blue and Gold and she matched them perfectly. The thing I liked the best is that we got to choose multiple flavors and fillings--many other places you only get 1. Many other places had limited cake designs but Cakes To You had a ton to choose from. All the flavors tasted great and the cake was the perfect addition to our day! Thanks so much and can't wait to enjoy the top layer on our first anniversary!

The cake at my son's wedding was absolutely gorgeous. It was exactly what the bride wanted. The cake was delicious and everyone commented on how good it was. The owner had a very nice cake tasting session for the couple. They were very professional and the cake was delivered on time without a problem. It was both beautiful and delicious. I would definitely use them again for any occasion that I needed a cake.

They were good, no complaints. I ordered the cake about a week before the wedding. We just had a one tiered cake for cutting and I actually came across this place because the place that I booked for cupcakes was unable to also book for a cake (they were overbooked for cakes). I live nearby and I walked in and booked for the cake. I had my husband pick it up day of - no problems.

Debbie is awesome! So Helpful and talented! We had Cakes to You provide us our wedding cake and always got fast response when we would email a question. Cake was beautiful and tasted amazing. Followed her instructions on how to freeze top layer for our 1 year anniversary. Heard so many stories on how the cake for first anniversary is always freezer burned and tastes bad. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary and our cake tasted like it did the day of our wedding! Thank you for everything!

Black ties and tail cake was our choice and it was delicious. we had a fall wedding and went with the 5 tier falling leaf design on our cake. She also did a specialty grooms cake that was a wresting ring. Cake not only looked great but tasted wonderful!

Absolutely beautiful and delicious cake! Deb offers many amazing cake flavors and designs. On the day of the wedding, the cake was set up perfectly and she even provided me with instructions and a container for saving the top layer for our 1st anniversary. We received SO MANY complements on the appearance and taste of our cake!

We could not have been happier with our wedding cake. We decided to upgrade all of our cake flavors as well as our design since the desserts were one of the most important parts of our wedding. Our guests are still talking about how delicious all the flavors were and were so excited to have the ability to try several different types of cakes. Cakes to You made an absolutely FABULOUS cake for our wedding! I shared some of my ideas with Debbi and she created exactly what I was picturing! It couldn't have been more perfect. Debbi was easy to work with, creative, and open to sharing ideas. We have had nothing but compliments on our cake--not only the style of it, but the way it tasted! Months later, people are still talking about it. The hardest part of the process was choosing the cake flavor! I recommend Black Tie n Tails or Vanilla Almond. I will use Cakes to You again and again! You will not be dissappointed if you choose her for your wedding or party!

As a professional wedding DJ I have tried my fair share of wedding cake. Cakes to you has always been my favorite. Not only are the cakes beautiful but they are absolutely the best tasting. I would highly recommend Cakes to You for your wedding cake! Debbie was such fun to work with and very professional. She helped my daughter pick out the perfect cake! With so many flavors to pick from it was so easy to pick out the ones we liked best. Also, we were able to taste the different cake flavors so that we knew what each one would taste like. She also has pictures of decorated cakes from which to choose from, but she will work with you to decorate your cake just how you want it. I cannot count the number of people that complimented us on a fabulous wedding cake!! Debbi at Cakes to you did a great job working with us and was very flexible when I kept changing my mind about style and color. The cake was beautiful and everything was done just as ordered. We had tried several samples that were all good but the day of the wedding the cake tasted even better! I was disappointed that she did not have one on one meetings to discuss details since the wedding showcase that she uses at the Mentor Mall can get busy however, everything worked out just fine and her prices were very reasonable!

Our wedding cake came out better then I imagined. I really didnt have a design in mind. The lady we worked with did a 4 tier cake (with 3 differnet flavors) alternating black and sage green layers with dots and ribbon. It was simple, classy, and REALLY GOOD!

I had an idea of what I wanted for a wedding cake. I wasn't sure which flavor. Debbi hosts a cake tasting where you can taste the more popular flavors. My wedding colors were red, white and gold. I wanted the frosting to be white but my husband (fiance' at the time) suggested that we do a layer of red velvet to support our theme.

The wedding cake was beautifully frosted and decorated but when we cut the cake to expose the multi-color layers, our guests oohed and awed. It was gorgeous. And, the cake was absolutely moist and delicious.

My daughter has used Debbi to prepare birthday cakes for the children and that cake was equally beautiful as well as tasty.

I look forward to using Debbi to make family cakes in the future. I would recommend her without reservation. You won't be sorry.

I love cake and as a result I LOVE "Cakes to You". Debbie took my sketch and made it a reality. The four tier cake was stunning. Picture smooth white butter cream frosting with swirls and/or dots on every other tier, silver ribbon at the base of each of the four cakes, fondant draping from one tier to the next and live flowers separating the two lower tiers from the two top ones. And finally, live flowers on the top tier with a rhinestone enhanced sliver "T" in the center. Now image a cake that taste better than it looks, both fresh and flavorful. Vanilla almond with butter cream filing, Champagne with raspberry filing and bow tie (chocolate and vanilla) with fudge filing with my anniversary top tier repeating the champagne combo. Not only was I pleased and impressed, my 128 guests could not stop taking about how fantastic the cake looked and taste. I will always count on Debbie and Cakes to You for my special occasion cakes (not to mention my sweet tooth's need for a cupcake every now and then!) Thanks Debbie, you guys are the best. :-)

Cakes to you made us a simple, elegant cake with 3 different flavors. We got to try 2 of the flavors, but she didn't provide a taste test for all of the flavors, so we had to go out on a limb. We only got a small piece of cake because we were so busy with everything else, but what we had was amazing! They even boxed up the top tier with step-by-step directions on how to freeze it for us. I would absolutely recommend this cake baker!

Debbie was extremely nice and knowledgeable. We needed a cake for about 100 people and also ordered cookies. We bought our own cake stand because they did not have them available. It seemed a little expensive for what we ordered but the cake was delicious, probably the best I have ever tasted. We paid for filling in all 4 layers but I think one layer was missing the filling, not completely sure on that fact. Delivery and setup was flawless.

Cakes To You was a good choice for our wedding cake. This company did our shower cake as well as another family members wedding cake. I would recommend them to someone in need of a beautiful cake for any occasion! The cake was so incredibly fresh and delicious; not to mention decorated beautifully! We had Cakes to You do our wedding cake. The cake turned out great.! She even worked with my florist to put flowers on our cake. We got the black tie and tails and the strawberry cake. I loved the strawberry, which is surprising because I usually don't. Everyone said the cake tasted great, so I would definitely suggest anyone looking for a baker to use Cakes to You.

I went to the Wedding Showcase at the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor and sampled some cake. They were all delicious and I knew that I would get our wedding cake from Debbi. We had a 4 tier round white cake. It was the best cake I've ever had! All of our guests enjoyed the cake and I was able to take some cake home. I've told all of my friends who are getting married in the next year that they need to call Debbi!

We taste tested Deb's cakes at a local wedding show and really liked the flavors. The one we all liked the best is the almond. The frosting is also excellent. When we went to our food tasting, she was there, and we were able to talk a little bit more about our cake- the colors, design, shape. The cake turned out beautifully. We received many compliments on it. I was unable to meet with Deb because our schedules never matched up, she is only available certain days and times, so we had to do most of our planning by email. You will have to get your topper and ribbon if you are using it and drop it off at her house.

We originally were going to use this company but luckily had to change our wedding venue and use that venues baker. I was not impressed with the professionalism here. We were never offered a cake tasting even though we had tried some of the cakes at a bridal show. I felt like I was being judged the entire meeting for what I was looking for. Our wedding had a classic feel to it. I am not a bling person and do not like over the top. I wanted something very classy and elegant. We planned to have a smaller cake and then cup cakes or sheet cake to keep the cost down. This did not go over well with the owner. The cake was not the centerpiece of our reception. I get that this is their art but you are not supposed to make someone feel uncomfortable for wanting their wedding a certain way or for wanting to save some money. That is the bride and grooms decision and they should not be made to feel bad about that. Our cake table ended up looking amazing because of the way we displayed everything. Yes, Cakes to You has delicious cakes, but a wedding is about what the bride and groom envision their day to be, not what the vendor wants.

Unfortunately, Cakes to You was part of our wedding package or else we would have looked for someone else. Although the final product was beautiful and tasted great, the process to get there was not easy. We found Debbi to be unfriendly and not easy to work with. She never answered her phone or returned phone calls, preferring email to conversation. The problem with the email was that each one was misread or misinterpreted. A phone call could have clarified a lot of the miscommunication. In the end, we compromised on the style and decoration of our cake because it was not worth the endless emails sent back and forth.

Very disappointed. Despite confirming several times and prepaying for my cake months in advance, I arrived to my reception to find that she had "mixed up" the dates and I had no wedding cake. What a disaster. She was courteous enough to show up 2 hours later with a substitute cake, and also to refund my money. However, this kind of mistake is inexcusable. How does your wedding cake just not show up?! Totally embarrassing. I would steer clear.
