My family had used Cakes and Confections Bakery before for several events including graduations, baby showers, wedding showers, and my sister's wedding ten years ago. Over the years the quality has never changed. The cake and icing flavors are all delicious, and the final product came out great! We did a three tier offset square cake and everyone really enjoyed it! We got married at Chesapeake Bay Foundation, so Julianne and Michael were able to pipe sea grass along the side to match our decor. Everything turned out great and we would highly recommend this bakery for all of their delicious treats! -

Julianne and her husband made our cake for our wedding and it turned out beautifully! They accommodated every detail that we asked for, and our guests were raving about how delicious the cake was. I highly recommend them! -

What a wonderful experience! The couple that owns Cakes and Confections has been married for years and baking/designing for even longer! They were so kind from the moment we expressed interest. We went in for a tasting and knew we were going to use them from the first bite we took. Then we saw her amazing designs and it was a done deal.
Our wedding cake was perfect, and the guests went on and on about how beautiful and delicious it was!
I also went to her last minute to ask her to do a grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner. She designed it perfectly and it was also delicious!
They delivered for both events and are very reasonably priced! -

We had a brunch the day after our wedding and after people said congrats, their next question was, "Where did you get that cake?!?!" Everyone loved it! It was absolutely beautiful and amazingly delicious. I've been going to Cakes and Confections for birthday cakes for years and after our wedding, I will be a customer for life. -

Cakes and Confections (Julianne Moore) was wonderful to work with! Julianne provided many options for our tasting and had a beautiful display (cupcakes, 4 flavors) at our wedding. We are still enjoying the works she created 2 days after the wedding. All of our guests complimented us on the great taste of our dessert choices as well as the presentation.

Julianne and Michael Brown are great to work with! Their cakes are so delicious, that I have been thinking about the top layer of my wedding cake that currently sits in my freezer.
We had four tiers, and four different flavors. Each one was scrumptious. We had so many compliments on the cake -- needless to say, it was all gone after our wedding! -

The cake was delicious and beautiful! We got many compliments, and they are making us a fresh cake on our anniversary, instead of having to freeze and way stale cake on our anniversary! -

Julianne at Cakes & Confections helped us find a perfect wedding cake! I had been sold on cupcakes (affordability, ability for variety) but when I looked through their cake album, one of the last ones I saw was a perfect beachy cake (with graham cracker crust as the "sand" around the cake!) - it was amazing. Everyone commented on how perfect it was for the day and for our personalities, and they delivered seamlessly! It was delicious! -

Julianne was awesome to work with. She was incredibly sweet and so likable! I knew I wanted her to create my wedding cake before I even met her. She baked my family friend's wedding cake over 2 years ago and I still remembered what it tasted like. She also came very highly recommended and I had heard her cakes not only tasted amazing but they could make any type of style cake you wanted. When I met with her, she made us a sample cake and it was just as good as I remembered. I must have changed my mind 10 times on what type of design I wanted, and in the end, she delivered the exact design if not better than what I showed her. She was quick to respond to all my e-mails and very reasonably priced too! I couldn't believe her pricing and she even gave suggestions on ways to save even more money. We also had her make my bridal shower cake. Everyone loved both cakes and raved how great they tasted! You will not be disappointed with Cakes and Confections Gourmet Bakery! They are reasonably priced and make beautiful cakes that taste great!!! -

My husband and I were married on June 4, 2011 in Gambrills, Maryland. We are an older couple and appreciate the finer, quality things in life. So we drove an hour to check out the Cakes and Confections Gourmet Baker in Annapolis, Maryland as we heard from friends that they were the best. Believe me when I tell you that our wedding cake with the best wedding cake I had ever tasted. My ENTIRE wedding cake was gone after the wedding! The guests couldn't enough of the cake and enjoyed it so much! It was absolutely DELICIOUS! The service was prompt, dependable and the cake was beautiful! -

Our cake was fabulous! Julianne did a marvelous job on our cake. The color and detail were awesome and most of all it tasted soooo good. She was really easy to work with, we brought in a picture of a design that we liked and she made it our own. we had a 4 tier cake with two different flavors alterating layers. -

We would highly recommend Cakes & Confections for your wedding cake! Julianne really accommodated us with only 3 weeks notice! They created a cake that was absolutely delicious, detail-oriented, and affordable. The best part- they delivered it and there was absolutely no anxiety related to any part of the process. She set up a meeting with us after-hours, and baked a mini-cake for us with the flavors we thought we might want. We had so many fabulous comments on the cake. Thanks for all your hard work, Cakes & Confections! -

They made three flavors of cupcakes for us - Chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, carrot cake with cream cheese icing and vanilla cake with raspberry mousse, and all three were delicious. I had so much fun doing tastings with them - it was so hard to finally decide on three because they were all delicious. Very highly recommend! -

our wedding cake was literally the icing on the cake! we gave a picture of the cake we wanted to mike- and it was identical!! we had 2 flavors: red velvet and lemon. it was delish. mike was so accomodating and even rented us a pretty silver stand for the cake. other places wanted us to go rent it somewhere else, and bring it to them. design and taste were beyond our expectations. his costs are very affordable. highly recommend! -

After a couple bad experiences with other cake bakers, we visited Cakes and Confections in Annapolis. Julianne stayed late to accommodate our work schedules so that we could come in for a tasting. The cake was delicious and we were sent home with leftovers! We were impressed with their service, flexibility and value. While many other bakers wanted to charge is $150 delivery fee, Cakes and Confections was much more reasonable.
The cake was beautiful! We had two flavors - red velvet with cream cheese and lemon with lemon curd. I'm not a big fan of cake, but this cake was awesome! My favorite was the lemon.
I would highly recommend this wonderful little shop to anyone looking for a delicious and truly special wedding cake. -

Julianne of Cakes and Confections gave us a sample cake, it was delicious, and then we told her what we wanted. We never had to worry again about the delivery or details. The cake was perfect and everyone liked it. They were very friendly and professional. -

Mike and Julianne from Cakes and Confections were great to work with. Our wedding cake was beautiful and everything I imagined it to be. They did exactly what we wanted. We took our cake topper to them and they made our cake great. At the last minute, I changed my mind and wanted to surprise my husband with a sports cake topper. He is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagle fan and I had gotten a cake topper. It was lovely and tasted great too! Everyone complimented on how it looked and how it tasted!!
I highly recommend CAKES and CONFECTIONS for your cake and baked good needs!! -

Cakes & Confections gave us the EXACT cake we were looking for. I took them a photo and they completely replicated the cake we wanted. They were on time - and most importantly the cake was the most moist, delicious cake our guests had ever tasted. Instead of freezing the top layer of our cake - Michael (head baker) is going to make us a mini top layer for our 1st anniversary - matching the cake we had on our wedding day! -

My mom has been using Cakes and Confections forever, so they were the obvious choice for my wedding cake. My husband and I wanted cupcakes in addition to a small cake for cutting. It was so affordable! We did a bunch of different cupcake flavors which were beautifully decorated so guests could tell the flavors. Julianne even created a flavor based on a special request we made. I absolutely loved our experience working with Cakes and Confections! -
