Michele was able to create a cake that was both beautiful and absolutely delicious, a hard combination to achieve. She was extremely accommodating in regard to allergies. There were several allergies in my wedding party, including in myself, and Michele handled this with ease. We had full trust in her and no concern of cross contamination.

Delicious Wedding Cakes and Desserts
Our guests raved about the desserts at our wedding. We were able to do a cake tasting a month before the wedding and wow!! We chose four different cake flavors, four cookies and three brownies. Everything was absolutely delicious. I wasn’t able to have much at the wedding, but my husband and I were sent home with a few slices!!! Michele also offered to make a fresh 1st anniversary cake for us.
We had both gluten free and vegan guests at our wedding. Michele was able to make cupcakes for those guests. My gluten free guests said they were some of the best they’ve had, they were moist and smooth.
The desserts were reasonably priced and Michele was able to perfectly decorate our cutting cake.
We cannot wait to book Michele for other family events.

Michele is Amazing
I ordered a cake for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party at Strigo Vineyards, and Michelle was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She responded to my request right away and was very reasonably priced. She even delivered the cake to the venue early, which gave us one less thing to worry about on the big day.
Michelle offered such a wide variety of flavors that it was hard to choose just two! I shared the theme of the party with her — Time in a Bottle — and she ran with it. The final cake was not only beautiful but perfectly matched the spirit of the celebration. It turned out amazing, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about it.
Highly recommend Michelle for any special occasion — she’s creative, reliable, and incredibly talented!

We truly had the greatest experience working with Michele. She was so easy to communicate with before the wedding and provided delicious cupcakes to sample her different flavors. Cakes by Michele has made wonderful birthday cakes for my son in the past, so it was a no brainer asking her to make our wedding cake and cupcakes. Michele is so easy to work with, very nice and professional. I shared my vision and she brought it to life. She was able to do multiple flavors of cupcakes and cake, some even gluten free, and with the addition of pearls and flowers, all while being very affordable. We are so happy we went with Michele for our wedding cake. She was very responsive and had excellent communication right from the start. When we met with her for a tasting, she was so sweet and took time to really talk with us and understand our vision. Our wedding cake was everything we dreamed of and more. It was absolutely stunning, we received so many compliments! She personally delivered the cake to the venue and spent a lot of extra time adding finishing touches (including surrounding it with greenery. Flowers, and fairy lights) to make sure it was perfect. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious! The best tasting of all the different vendors we tried. As an added bonus, Michele gives you a coupon for a free cake for your one-year anniversary so you don’t have to worry about freezing the top of your wedding cake. I would absolutely recommend Michele to anyone looking for a special cake. (TLDR: 11/10 would highly recommend.)

I met Michele on a job years ago and first hired her for our wedding cake in 2021. Almond cake with cherry filling!!! Since then I have ordered all of our anniversary cakes (we get TWO every year!), birthday cakes and photo session cakes from Michele! She is so creative and has blown us away with every surprise cake design for our anniversary. The 21st birthday cake smash cake I ordered for my daughter’s photo shoot was AMAZING! The Perfect Wedding Cake!
From the start of wedding planning, I had a vision of how I wanted my wedding cake to look. I spoke to a couple other wedding cake-makers, who said they weren't able to make what I was looking for or that it was too unique and different than what they were comfortable doing. I messaged Michele and she was very professional right off the bat. I sent her a photo of the cake and she said she could do it- and even could do it only using buttercream (no fondant). All through the process she kept me updated. At one point she was having trouble finding the exact ribbon to use on the second tier. She went above and beyond- writing to the original cake-maker and scouring the internet for something identical. I was extremely impressed by her thoroughness and attention to detail. We found something that was perfect and on my wedding day, I walked in to see the cake. I was a bit nervous and wondered if it would look they way I imagined. Michelle did a REMARKABLE job. The cake was exactly what I had asked for. On top of that, it was absolutely delicious. All of our guests raved about it. From start to finish, Michele was a pleasure to work with. She also made some apple cider donuts which were delicious and especially loved by my fiance (who is obsessed with apple cider donuts)! They had a wonderful “autumn” taste and were not packed with sugar like I find most apple cider donuts to be. Michele also made a small batch of gluten free cupcakes which were great and we received a lot of compliments from our gluten free guests. My fiance and I cannot recommend Michele enough. Really talented and she gave us an absolutely stunning wedding cake. Thank you so much!

So delicious!
Having Michele make our wedding cake and half moon cookies was the best choice. She was very professional and created the exact cake we described during our consultation. The cake was moist, flavorful, and beautiful (I feel like most cakes you are lucky to get 1 or 2 of those things, never all 3). It was gluten free which was also amazing. She delivered the cake on time and I never had to worry about her on the day of. We provided the fresh flowers and she arranged them perfectly. We got so many compliments from everyone. 10/10 would recommend!

We know Michelle because of family and when my husband and I got married, I could not have asked anyone else to help us out. I had shown my husband her portfolio and immediately contacted her. Right away, we started discussing my ideas, what she could do and within a few months, was shown the final piece. I had no words on how beautiful the cake turned out and the only downside was that I had to cut into it! Gorgeous and Yummy wedding cake
Michelle did an amazing job on the 3 tier cake and cupcakes that we requested. The design from the picture I showed her to the work she designed was almost identical. It was so beautiful, that I was in tears when I got time to look at it. The flavors and moistness of the cake and cupcakes was outstanding. We had numerous compliments on the taste of the cakes. Michelle was so professional from the beginning to the end and so easy to talk to . Michele is wonderful to work with. She did a fantastic job with our wedding cake. She allowed my husband and me to have a free tasting which was probably the most fun part of our wedding prep. Delicious Cake
From start to finish, this was an absolutely wonderful experience. The number of flavors of both cake and fillings to choose from was fabulous, there were gluten free options for some of our guests that needed, and the tasting was so organized it was a relief to have a vendor so well prepared. Now, onto the cake itself: I have NEVER had such a delicious cake in all my life. I am not a cake person traditionally but her cakes were moist and flavorful, the fillings were just right and not too sweet, and the frosting is this magical confection that melted on the tongue and complimented the cake perfectly. It is a week later and the cake is just as good as it was on the first day. We were able to choose 4 different cake flavors (one cutting and three sheet) and each one was as good as the last. Our cutting cake was absolutely perfect in taste and style, looked just like the style/pic we showed her, and got rave reviews from all of our guests. It was incredibly affordable and worth every penny.

The cake and cupcakes I ordered for both of my sons weddings August 27, 2022 and October 7, 2022(exactly 6 weeks apart) this past summer and fall were absolutely spectacular! You could even choose different fillings for each layer of the cake and you could also choose different fillings for the cupcakes! Michele was beyond amazing! We had a 3 tier cake with 3 different flavors plus extra flavor cupcakes. She worked with us through our postponement and was so responsive. Everything came out beautifully. We cannot recommend her enough!

Amazing flavor, beautiful design

Delicious cake
The cake Michelle made for our wedding was sooooo good!! We had 3 different flavors for cake and every flavor was delicious. Some of our guests ate 3-5 pieces. Highly recommend! Michelle is easy to work with and good communicator.

Great Experience
Michelle was amazing from start to finish. First- her cakes are beautiful, but most importantly they're DELICIOUS! I'm almost 2 months out from my wedding and people are still talking about how delicious the cupcakes she made us were. Did I mention that we had 4 separate flavors? Not a bad thing said about any of them! And gluten free cupcakes? which anyone who is GF can tell you are INCREDIBLY difficult to find- she's a master. You can't even tell the difference!
Second- she is incredibly accommodating! When I initially contacted her she was completely on board with making me a cake to cut and cupcake for the guests. I needed regular cupcakes, gluten free cupcakes, and vegan cupcakes and she didn't even bat an eye! I was a COVID bride and she accommodated 2 separate date changes (3 dates total if you count the original) and didn't charge me any extra fees or try to get us to pay more money. Her pricing didn't change! What we agreed upon over a year prior was what we got. And when I nixed the vegan cupcakes, it was not an issue. I truly can't say enough about her professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile.
She seriously made my life so easy the day of, she came to the venue- set everything up herself- and it was beautiful. She's amazing, you won't regret using her!

The Wedding Cake
Michele is the best! She was so flexible with our date change (Covid had us delay by 11 months). Michele even did a no contact cake tasting with us during peak Covid shut downs, she’s excellent at communicating. She was so creative, I asked for a geode inspired cake and boy did she deliver! Our wedding cake was a HUGE success, everyone thought it was delicious (it was so good, in fact, that my fiancé and I ate our pieces in bed the following morning without forks!)

My husband and I got married on September 10th and we used Michele as our cake baker. She came highly recommended by my sister that used her in the past for her wedding. Michele did an amazing job on our cake! Not only did it taste delicious but you didn’t want to ruin this masterpiece by cutting it because it was just so perfect! ❤️🎂 Michele even gave us a coupon to use for a free cake on our one year anniversary! Amazing service and cupcakes!
We hired Michele to make cakes and cupcakes for our wedding this past weekend. All during the planning process, Michele was super responsive and so friendly.
The filled cupcakes were a hit with our guests (she made 4 different flavors) and most people had seconds! The cakes and cupcakes were so beautiful and we were so pleased with everything. We totally recommend Michele and are so happy with the work she did!

Delicious wedding cake!
We worked with Michele for our wedding last month and were so happy we did! Michele was very accomodating with our three different reschedules due to COVID and was always willing to make any of our wishes become a reality. Most importantly, her cakes were delicious! We ordered two different flavors- Strawberry filling with vanilla cake and Raspberry filling with lemon cake. One of our favorite memories of the wedding weekend was being able to dig into left over cake the day after our wedding while looking through everyone’s pictures of the day! Michele made the whole process so easy- she was able to make a three tiered “naked” style cake with different flavors for each tier, decorated the cake with florals the day of, and also provided sheet cakes to accommodate more of our guests. She even provided us with a coupon to receive a first tiered layer of our wedding cake on our first anniversary! We are so looking forward to digging into our lemon raspberry cake in a year’s time!

2020 wedding
Michelle was supportive and very flexible, which wedding planning during covid was stressful never knowing what would happen and she was great while we were figuring it all out. The cake was gorgeous!!! Many people ate more then one slice, so even though my numbers fell drastically, we still had hardly any cake left over. I would definitely recommend Michelle!!

Still dreaming about our cake!
Working with Michele from Cakes By Michele was so easy and painless. With the constant date and location changes, she stuck with us the entire process and made us the most delicious Gluten Free cake! It turned out exactly the way we wanted it, both taste and design was perfect! I still have people (who aren’t even gluten free) texting me and saying they’re still dreaming of the cake! Michele was wonderful for my bridal shower and wedding. After having a less than favorable experience with a previous baker, I was on the hunt for someone to really wow me. Michele did exactly that. She offered us a free consultation which she provided various different samples and they were all phenomenal. This was the one part that my husband was excited about. Michele took my inspiration behind me Christmas in July theme cake and turned into a reality. She provided us with a cake and mini cupcakes for both the shower and wedding. Everyone loved all the flavors. Michele truly knocked it out of the park and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. We will definitely be booking her in the future for any special event we have.

Michele is a wonderful cake designer and baker. My husband does not like cake at all but he absolutely loves her cakes! There was never any competition for this vendor. She was super communicative and responsive. She was flexible and willing to work with me until everything was perfect and day of it was stunning and beautiful. It tasted incredible and all my guests complimented me on it! Not only do I completely recommend her for weddings I recommend her for any cakes--birthday, graduation, etc! Above and beyond my expectations!! Dream cake
I had called a few different cake companies and everyone tried to push me into doing a 2/3 layer cake with a sheet cake in the back for the remaining guests, UNTIL I found Michele and she was like a 4 tier is no problem at all! She offered different flavors for each tier and there were honestly so many wonderful choices we had a hard time picking just 4. She decorated our cake to my EXACT vision and people at our wedding were pretty much fighting over cake slices because that’s how good each flavor was. We barley had any left overs and again it was a fight for who was taking them home. People just could not get enough. If I could give her 10 stars I would. Me and my husband would HIGHLY recommend Michele to anyone looking for a well decorated, flavorful, extremely reasonably priced wedding cake.

I can't even count the number of guest who told us the cakes where the best wedding cake they have ever had! Even the staff at the Lincklaen House were asking who made the cakes! Michele did a great job with our wedding cake! It was 3 tiered, with a different flavor for each layer, and decorated elegantly. She even offered to send us a complimentary top layer of our cake for our anniversary. She was friendly, professional, and easy to work with, and her cake flavors are very tasty. Love is Sweet
Michele is AMAZING! Her cakes cannot even compare to any others. First of all, she met us part way as we are from Rochester and she is in Syracuse and was extremely accommodating. She set aside a few samples for us to try and we were blown away. I wanted to turn right back around and buy a cake to take back home with us! We opted for a 2 tier smaller cake, the flavors we chose were lemon cake with strawberry filling and almond cake with raspberry filling. Honestly I have never tasted a better cake in my life and I am quite the dessert connoisseur! She even makes you a FRESH cake for your 1 year anniversary so you don't have to eat year old frozen cake to celebrate! Her prices are pretty reasonable, but even if you're not looking to spend all that much, at least taste her cakes first, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! I HIGHLY recommend Cakes by Michele!

We ordered cupcakes from Michele for our Rehearsal Dinner, and they were absolutely amazing! Michele decorated our cupcakes with a "Portal" theme, and the fondant decorations were on-point, beautiful, and delicious! As an out-of-town bride, Michele was incredibly easy to work with...she met with us once at the cake tasting, and then checked in via email and text a couple of weeks before the wedding to confirm details. She was able to make adjustments to accommodate food allergies without compromising flavor or quality. I highly recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a great cake baker!

Choosing Cakes by Michele was the best choice we could’ve made. Not being local to the area, Michele made it very easy to set up a tasting appointment when we were able to come to town. Each sample was better than the next, and thankfully we were able to choose more than one flavor for each tier as we couldn’t decide which was best. She brought a large portfolio of past work which were like works of art. In addition to our wedding cake, we wanted to have a few specialty fall desserts. She was able to provide us with many different choices. She coordinated with our florist for fresh flowers to add to the design and arranged everything at the venue. Our guests were raving about all the desserts, especially her maple frosted cookies and apple cinnamon cake. Could not speak more highly of her abilities and creativity as a baker.

We can't say enough about how amazing Michele was to work with. Our cake totally exceeded our expectations - it was SO beautiful!! We wanted a small three-tiered cake for our wedding, and Michele did a different flavor for each layer. We met with her to do a tasting, and she not only brought many delicious flavors to try but also books of photos of her cakes. We chose elements of multiple different cakes that we liked, and she put them all together to build an absolutely beautiful cake that totally matched our wedding decor - she went so far as to ask for color swatches to make sure the colors were an exact match. Michele delivered our cake to Ithaca, as well, which really helped our day there go smoothly. We got lots of comments from guests about how tasty the cake was (especially the pumpkin with apple pie filling). An extra great thing about Michele is that she will give you a gift card for a new cake topper for your first anniversary, so you don't have to worry about saving the top layer day-of. Finally, Michele's pricing is really reasonable - definitely on the lower end of the bakers we looked at in the region, but with no compromise on service or quality. We are so happy we went with her cake for our special day!

We had a great experience hiring Cakes by Michele to make our wedding cake and cupcakes! We were having a rustic/fall wedding and she had the cute idea to have little fondant leaves on the cupcakes as if they were falling from the birch cake tree up top. I ate both a cupcake and a slice of cake and the cake was so moist and delicious, with each having fillings that were amazing as well. I definitely recommend her cinnamon chip flavor with apple pie filling! Michele was very easy to work with, and accommodated our multiple flavor requests as well as dairy-free options with ease. I recommend her for your wedding cake, you will not be disappointed!

Let me start by saying I’m not usually that big into sweets or desserts, but this cake blew me away. Michele made our wedding cake this past weekend, and I had so many people coming up to me to rave about it. My husband and I tried all three tiers as they were all different flavors of our choosing. Every bite was better than the last. It was super moist and delicious, and I never want to eat anyone’s else’s cake again unless it’s made by Michele. 5 stars!!

Michele was awesome. We had samples to taste and our cake had three layers each with different cake and filling. It looked fantastic and taste scrumptious, so moist!!!! Will definitely use Cakes by Michele again and we highly recommend her. Happy Bride and Groom.

I've said this to just about everyone I know, but I'll be saying it for a long time - Michele makes the best cake I've ever had, no matter the flavor. We had 2 cakes for our wedding, one with white chocolate and strawberry filling and the other was marble with chocolate bavarian cream filling and both were incredible. Everyone was raving about it and enjoyed it as much as we did! She also gave us a coupon for an anniversary cake next year so we could cut into the top layer of our cake for our guests. She was extremely personable and absolutely amazing. I will recommend to everyone!! Thank you!!

My wedding was In October and we had some very demanding ideas about what we wanted. Michele and I spoke and she prepared some of the most ideal flavors for us to try. She makes amazing cake and I don't even like cake. We asked for an Irish style cake and we wanted to do something with fall flavors as well as some traditional ideas. She made us a cake that looked amazing and our guests keep talking about it months later. The flavor for fall was cinnamon chip cake with an apple streusel filling. I can't tell you enough how amazing she is! Highly recommend her for ALL OCCASSIONS!

From the tasting to the event, Michele was amazing! She made us four flavors of cake for our wedding, and an assortment of delicious cookies , brownies, and bars for a dessert bar. We are still receiving compliments on how delicious everything was. She even made a rugby ball grooms cake... not only did it look great, but tasted even better!!! She was so accommodating with delivery and setup of everything, and always easy to get a hold of! The only problem you will encounter when working with Michele is deciding between the huge variety of flavors and fillings that she offers! Thanks for everything Michele, we will definitely be ordering you for any other events we host!

Michele is fantastic to work with! From the first time we met her through our wedding day, she was a pleasure to work with! The tasting allowed us the opportunity to try several of her delicious cakes and she was very flexible working with us to make a cake that matched the style we had in mind! On our wedding day she was willing to drive to our venue and deliver the cake, it was so beautiful to look at and every layer tasted amazing. Securing a date: I contacted Michele about 3 months prior to the date of the event and she was able to accommodate-even that close to the date.
Working with Michele: She makes the process really easy & she makes certain your vision is replicated perfectly.
The design: I gave Michele 2 images for 2 separate cakes I wanted and they came out exact. Michele truly is a perfectionist and well worth every penny!
Delivery: Michele delivers for a very small fee, which worked out perfectly. Very prompt- on time & no problems.
Pricing: Michele is very reasonable! I would certainly purchase from her in the future. No questions asked
Quality/Taste of Cake: we got red velvet for one cake & the other was vanilla/chocolate. They were absolutely delicious. Best cake I've ever had!
Overall: overall I was SO impressed with Michele. Her professionalism, her talent, pricing, and the overall taste. Cannot recommend Michele enough. Everyone wanted her information. Her cakes were a hit!

Michele was a pleasure to work with. I have celiac disease and we were having a gluten free cake. She was wonderful with accommodating the allergy and reassuring me that everything would be 100% gluten free. She had great recommendations for flavors and even met us multiple times for samples!I never once questioned that the cake would be delivered on time and look beautiful when we got to the reception! We found Michele on a whim after our original wedding cake baker canceled on us unexpectedly. She was very accommodating with meeting with us despite our busy schedules! We knew right off the start that we wanted her to make our cake because she was so personable, easy to work with, the samples she had us try were AMAZING, her cakes were affordable, and she was able to design the exact cake we wanted! We have received so many compliments on how excellent our wedding cake tasted as well as looked! All 4 different flavors were incredible! We are so happy we found her!! Michele did a terrific job on our wedding cake. Not only was it beautiful (she had it resemble a tree with our initials carved into it), but the cake itself was delicious as well. We couldn't choose what flavor we liked best during the tasting, so she allowed us to make each layer a different flavor. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal flavors to choose from, my husband and I had great difficulty coming up with just three flavors. Also! Michele offers a free coupon on your one year wedding anniversary for a new cake top with any flavor you want! She arrived on time to the tasting, and on the big day. Getting our wedding cake from Michele was one of our easiest and worthwhile wedding choices. She was extremely friendly and personable at our first meeting. She was able to give us suggestions on design and let us pick out four flavors for our cake. She even came up with letting us use a sheet cake for that additional flavor. Michele delivered our cake to the venue with no issues. She responded promptly to all emails. Guests complimented all flavors of the cake!!

If we could give Michelle more than five stars we would! We were allowed two tastings with her as she had so many incredible flavor choices we needed to try more to make a decision. The GC for a cake on our anniversary was something we were not offered at any other vendor. Her price, service and final product met our every expectation!!!

I was scrambling at the last minute to find a two tier wedding cake after my first baker fell through. I found Michele through wedding wire and did all of my ordering via phone and text. She was very responsive and open to my ideas. She delivered the cake to our venue and put the cake topper in it so I wouldn't have to worry about it on my wedding day. Our cake was delicious! Our family and friends loved it. Don't waste your time going to the big name bakeries, put your order in with Michele. You will not be disappointed!

Michele made two amazing cakes for our wedding. The first was a grooms cake that she made look like a wine barrel (to go with our vineyard wedding), no one even knew it was a cake! She made our cakes gluten free, not only was it the best gluten free cakes we have had, they were the best cakes in general! Everyone is still asking about them from 3 weeks ago!

She had so many options to pick from, the only problem we had was they were ALL delicious and hard to narrow it down! Her pricing is great compared to many others. Michele took my ideas I had seen from the internet and put them all together to make a cake that was perfect for my fiance and I. We had a grooms cake at the rehearsal dinner and our wedding cake made by Michele, they were there on time and set up beautifully. We were blown away! We highly recommend her!

Michele was awesome! She completely understood my vision and my cake table looked like it was out of a magazine! The sugar flowers were so perfect you couldn't tell they were sugar. Not to mention, the cakes were incredibly delicious and moist! I've been to a few weddings where the cakes were dry and flavorless but I took home very few leftovers because everyone loved them so much. I highly recommend her services :]

The cake and the cupcakds she made were awesome and look just as good as fhey tasted.
