Don't think twice about hiring Carissa!! Best cake and experience ever
Carissa was one of our favorite wedding vendors to work with. She is incredibly talented, kind, professional, and responsive -- and she bakes the most amazing cakes! She truly is an artist and takes pride in her work, evidenced by our wonderful experience with her making our custom wedding cake.
We had been to plenty of weddings where the cake/dessert looked much better than it tasted, so we wanted to ensure our cake looked AND tasted divine. My sister used Carissa for her own wedding cake and I remembered how delicious it was, so after we had an initial cake tasting with her, we knew we didn't want to work with anyone else! After sharing a few inspiration pictures and talking through our vision, she worked with us to create a plan that best fit our needs.
Throughout the entire process, Carissa was very professional and prompt to respond to all our questions which gave us one less thing to stress about in the sea of wedding planning madness. She carefully delivered the cake herself on wedding day, completed all set up and break down, and even added the finishing touches with our topper and fresh florals/greenery to completely bring our vision to life. Carissa executed on the design perfectly and created a masterpiece for us that looked amazing and tasted even better. I'm so glad there were a few pieces left at the end of the night that we got to take home and enjoy for a few more days! We plan to hire Carissa for all our future custom bakery needs!

Delicious & Beautiful Creations from Cakes by Carissa
Carissa is an artist who also has been blessed with an incredible baking talent! She was so pleasant to work with: very communicative, prompt with follow ups, and ultimately, her cakes were masterpieces both visually and for our guests' tastebuds. Walking away from our tasting, we had a clear plan built out for both our wedding cake and groom's cake. She delivered flawlessly on both.

Best Wedding Cake Ever!
I decided to sample Carissa’s cakes after seeing her great reviews on here. They were not wrong. Best white wedding cake ever. It was moist until many white cakes. The other flavors are delicious as well. Will be using her for other special occasion cakes in the future.

DELICIOUS cakes that your guests will actually eat!
We’ve all been to plenty of weddings where the cake may look beautiful, but you take a bite and it’s dry and flavorless... That is the exact OPPOSITE of our wedding cake designed by Carissa! Not only was our 3-tier cake gorgeous, but it was so delicious that people were going back for seconds! We received so many compliments from our guests even after the wedding. It was super moist and tasty, and stayed that way even 2 weeks post-wedding while we picked at the scraps! Carissa is so talented, sweet and easygoing, and offers so many options for designing your perfect cake. We highly recommend her! Suggestion: try her banana cake with cream cheese frosting!!

Beyond Amazing
Carissa was professional and so easy to work with! Our cake was three tier with chocolate, pumpkin and strawberry layers. It was delicious!!! Everyone was commenting on how good the cake was.

OUT OF THIS WORLD service and cake!
Carissa did our wedding cake and she truly outdid herself. My guests were raving about it (and still do to this day). It was seriously one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever had, we ate leftovers for probably longer than we should’ve because it was still so good lol! When we met with Carissa for our tasting I didn’t really have huge expectations because I work in the wedding industry and have tasted MANY wedding cakes. So I just kinda expected a typical wedding cake, but NO… When we tasted our little trial cake pieces me and my then fiancé looked at each other like are you serious. That sounds dumb because its just cake, but I’m so serious, it was the best cake we’ve ever had. It was so good that my plain self had went from insisting on just the typical wedding cake flavor do also doing half strawberry, it was amazing! But not only was the flavor out of this world, she took my group of 5 images that I liked certain things from each and made this beautiful sketch that was like she could read my mind. It was perfect, but never did I ever imagine how amazingly perfect it would really be. She delivered our cake early so our photographers could capture it in plenty of time and was so flexible and kind throughout the process. She even let me send her a swatch of my bridesmaid dresses so the blue drip would be spot on and IT WAS!! I can’t recommend her enough, let her do all of your cakes, I know she’ll forever do mine!

WOW! 30 characters is not enough to cover how phenomenal Carissa is! Not only is she so kind and flexible, but she brought our dream wedding cake to life! It was by far the best cake I have ever tasted and still a week later its absolutely delicious! It was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen, so perfectly stacked and decorated, and I've seen 100+ cakes since I'm a wedding photographer! We learned about Carissa from a friend's wedding. We are so glad we did, because Carissa is amazing. Her cakes were so fresh, she was quick to respond to emails, and she made the cakes look exactly how we envisioned. The wedding cake was white cake with raspberry and cream cheese fillings. The groom's cake was a tiered cookie cake (!!!) with incredible frosting.

My husband(!) and I were just married this past weekend and we were thrilled to have Carissa make the cake for our wedding. It was perfect and even better than I had envisioned! Carissa is truly fantastic. She was so easy to work with the whole way through. Carissa was amazing. We met with her for our tasting and loved the flavors we tasted. However we did one additional tasting with a much larger company and fell in love with one of their specialty cake flavors. Being small business owners ourselves, we really wanted to use Carissa's services if we could, so we asked her if she was willing to step outside her comfort zone and make us a cake with the flavor we had loved. To our excitement she was more than happy to do some experimenting for us and when the day came, the cake was absolutely delicious! EVERYONE RAVED ABOUT OUR CAKE ALL NIGHT. Our other vendors all even asked us for her contact info because they loved the cake so much and wanted to recommend her when they have opportunities. Carissa knocked the design of our cake out of the park as well. We will absolutely be asking Carissa to make us a cake sometime in the future when we have an anniversary celebration!!

Carissa was AWESOME. She was so kind and accommodating, had no problems creating the vision my husband and I had for our cake, and to top it all off, everything was DELICIOUS. All our guests raved about it, from how unique and beautiful the design was, to how fantastic and tasty the cake itself was - we had to fight them off to take the remainder home!
Additionally, Carissa was very sweet and professional, and I will always recommend her to anyone who needs a cake for anything in that area. She had no problem doing everything by email, as my husband and I live in FL and she operates in the North GA/ATL area, and she was very easy to keep in contact with. :)

Carissa is a true joy to work with! My husband and I enjoyed every bit of our experience with her. The cake tasting was so fun (and obviously delicious!) She designs your cakes, and makes the process so easy on the bride and groom. Our cakes were better than we could have imagined on the day of! They were gorgeous, and tasted amazing. Carissa made our cake for our intimate lakeside wedding. Working with Carissa was a joy! She was super easy to communicate with and set up meeting times that were conducive to our crazy schedules. Not only is she professional, her talent shines through. Our cake was delicious- everyone complimented us on it (like we actually made it haha). I couldn't get enough of the buttercream and the strawberry cake was perfection. It was been difficult to save the top layer for our anniversary- we want to eat it now!

Carissa and her cakes were absolutely wonderful! When we initially met with Carissa she had samples of two different kinds of cake of our choice. I was so impressed by Carissa! I was pretty determined to have a cookie wedding cake for our special day. We originally were going with another baker, but after the first baker told me a cookie cake was a bad idea we quickly hunted for another and stumbled across Carissa. Carissa helped me out when my originally cake vendor canceled three weeks before my reception! She created a custom blush rosette cake that was stunning on the outside and delicious on the inside. I got her white, red velvet, and pumpkin flavored cakes and each one was more and more delicious. I had a bunch of "cake lovers/snobs" at my reception and I am STILL hearing from them about how amazing it was, three weeks later. Don't use anyone else!

Carissa did an amazing job and is highly recommended. She was able to meet me somewhere near my home and was very flexible. We choose to do red velvet, pumpkin spice, and chocolate cake and mini strawberry cupcakes. The cake was amazing! Everyone at the wedding enjoyed it and they loved how beautiful our semi-naked cake looked. Carissa is able to offer stands to use, or she allows you to bring your own and she will set it up. We had an overall great experience and I look forward to using Cakes by Carissa sometime in the near future.

She helped me figure out a beautiful design and delicious flavors for the amount of people I was serving, all within my budget (which was small). Carissa makes the most delicious cakes! We had 2 cakes. A lemon cake with fresh raspberry and cream cheese icing, it was absolutely amazing. My husband loves German chocolate cake so Carissa made him just that! Everyone at our wedding raved about how good the cake was. Good thing they wrapped the top for us to take home because it went fast!

My experience with Cakes by Carissa was nothing but positive. The cake was absolutely DELICIOUS. My only complaint was that I didn't get to sit down and enjoy a piece ;) It was beautiful and she was so patient with us as we tried to explain what we were wanting. The sampling process was a breeze too and she made it convenient to meet up as we had difficult schedules to plan around. Overall a great and tasty experience!

Carissa bakes absolutely delicious cakes and is such a sweet person! We had the hardest time during our tasting because all of the cake flavors were so good! When selecting the style of our cake, Carissa saved the day (my husband and I like the simplicity and elegance of naked cakes but also love icing) by suggesting we go with a "semi-naked" cake to achieve the look we wanted but maximize the amount of frosting per bite. She helped again with narrowing down/selecting cake flavors by coming up with a creative way to continue the family style service of our meal during the reception. She suggested we pick two additional flavors that would be served in pre-cut bite size pieces on trays, and that she would come to cut the “semi-naked” cake into bite size pieces herself to make sure the presentation was uniform. The three-tiered "semi-naked" cake was pumpkin with cream cheese icing, and the other "cake bites" we served were vanilla cake with chocolate icing and red velvet with cream cheese icing. Everything turned out perfectly (the “semi-naked” cake was just darling!) and our guests gushed over how good all the cake flavors were! I can't recommend Carissa enough both as a great and professional vendor you want on your "wedding team" and for her delicious cakes!

Marlene and I attended a "melt in your mouth" cake tasting provided by Carissa. It was then that we decided to go with Carissa. She came through with flying colors delivering a much better than expected masterpiece of a wedding cake! There were numerous compliments on the taste and appearance of the cake by our families. This was one of those cakes that you simply had to quit eating but did not want to quit.

Cakes by Carissa are outstanding! I cannot give enough positive feedback about my experience and HIGHLY recommend her. We had a cake tasting a few months before the vent and her cakes/cupcakes are to die for!! She did a 3 tier wedding cake with monogram, cupcakes, and an awesome groom's cake. I mixed some pictures together online for my design of the wedding cake and it was exactly what I wanted. I gave her a rough idea for the groom's cake and let her finish the final design in what she thought looked best and it turned out fantastic as well. It was a surprise for my husband and he loved it. Everyone at the wedding raved about wonderful everything tasted! The lemon with raspberry filling we by far our favorite flavors (even my husband and I was shocked), but the chocolate cake is definitely the best I have ever had.
Carissa was also prompt in responses and so easy to work with. She is genuinely kind and made this one less stressful thing I had to deal with. Delivery and setup were smooth too. There truly isn't one thing that could have been done differently to make this experience better. Thank you SO much Carissa! I can't wait to have you make something else in the future!

Being in the wedding industry, you remember the first time you meet a fellow wedding vendor. In this case, I remember the first time I tasted a Cakes by Carissa cupcake. First impression - her buttercream frosting was to die for! I've tasted almost every flavor of her cakes and while they were all delicious, my husband and I wanted to do something a little different - mixing up a traditional flavor (lemon cake with a raspberry filling) with something unique (funfetti cake with a colored frosting). Carissa was so accommodating with our out of the box ideas and made us a wedding cake that was both beautiful and delicious! You know you've found an awesome wedding vendor when brides AND wedding professionals rave over them. This is truly the case with Carissa. I wouldn't have trusted or wanted anyone else but Cakes by Carissa for our wedding!

Carissa was so easy and flexible to work with. I had to have my cake and cupcakes picked up and delivered to south Ga. For the wedding and she agreed to meet wherever whenever. They arrived in perfect condition.
They were beautiful and tasted unbelievable. Far exceeded my expectation even after the taste test.
We had cupcake (red velvet and coconut) along with the cake and saved some cupcakes to eat for breakfast on our honeymoon.

Amazing cake and cupcakes!!! We had a 2 tier cake with chocolate on the bottom and strawberry on top, both layers with buttercream icing. Then carrot cake(cream cheese icing), red velvet(cream cheese icing), and strawberry(buttercream icing) cupcakes!! We were very pleased and impressed with the presentation and taste! Our wedding cake carrisa made a hand crafted flower set that were the perfect touch to our cake. She also made an amazing grooms cake!!! It was a custom acoustic guitar with my husbands favorite college football team in the center. Her attention to detail with the guitar was flawless. To the wood grain, to the strings, to the neck of the guitar was perfect!! She listened to what I had imaged in my head and she created it. I will use her over again in the future!

Carissa bakes some amazing cakes! We had a 3 tier wedding cake- decadent chocolate and red velvet with buttercream frosting! It was so delicious and everyone loved the cake! We also had vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting, which went just as fast as the cake! Carissa did a great job decorating our cake! I sent her a few pictures with elements of each that I liked and she wonderfully crafted each of those elements into our wedding cake! We highly recommend her!
