I had a very specific vision in mind when I was looking for a cake for my wedding. Sally's painted buttercream cakes are so beautiful and unique and exactly what I was looking for, I scheduled a tasting with her immediately and as soon as I tasted how DELICIOUS her cakes are, we signed the contract. Sally helped us come up with a beautiful design to match our wedding florals and color scheme using a sample invitation and swatch from the bridesmaids dresses. When COVID-19 hit, Sally was SO flexible with us and even worked with us to make a smaller cake for our 25-person mini wedding. The design was PERFECT and the case was so delicious! Our guests gasped when they first saw our cake and I could hear all of the excited "mmm!"'s down the table as people took their first bite. We plan to use her to have our originally planned larger cake for a post-pandemic reception next year and I know it will be perfect! If you're looking for a beautiful and unique wedding cake without sacrificing taste, look no further! -

Wedding cake of our dreams
Sally from Cakebee created the most stunning cake for our wedding—it was everything I dreamed of and more! The design was absolutely gorgeous, with every detail crafted to perfection. It truly felt like a centerpiece for our day. And it tasted simply incredible. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. Sally was such a pleasure to work with throughout the process, listening to my vision and making it come to life better than I imagined. If you’re looking for a cake that’s both beautiful and delicious, I can’t recommend Cakebee enough! -

Great cake and great communication
One of our vendors recommended Cakebee to us, and after trying a sampling of cakes we decided to go with them. Sally was great throughout the process. She spoke to us about what we would like, the colors, the feeling and so on. We selected a two tier cake, and asked for a sugar cake topper of two birds. The cake was springtime flavor which is vanilla honey cake with apricot buttercream. Sally made a draft drawing of the cake for us to review, which we were glad to have. We received multiple compliments on the cake design and taste, so it was a hit. Overall I highly recommend Cakebee. -

Made my wedding cake dreams come true
I'm writing this review a little late. My wedding was in September of 2023. Sally and her company CakeBee were hands down the best decision for my cake vendor. As soon as Sally and I had our first Zoom meeting to discuss my wedding cake details I had no doubt she was the talent to make my dream cake a reality. I am a self-proclaimed cake snob. A beautifully decorated/ crafted cake MUST taste as delicious as it looks, if not more delicious. Sally DELIVERED. My cake was b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. She delivered on the image I had in mind and added her magic touch to the detailing of the cake. As for the taste of the cake 100/10. Eating her cake was a melt-in-your-mouth, rich in flavor, not too sweet, just right, experience and the frosting was very light and delightful. Sally was professional and very kind to work with. Thank you soo much Sally for being a part of my special day. She is talented. I would absolutely recommend CakeBee to any bride or groom looking for a gorgeous and exquisite cake made for their wedding. -

Best wedding cake ever
Sally was amazing to work with for our wedding cake. Her cakes are spectacular and she is such an artist! She has such fun flavor combos and the cake itself was perfectly moist, flavorful, AND beautiful! The hand made sugar flowers she sculpted added the perfect touch to the cake. Absolutely Stunning & Delicious
Cakebee was an absolute pleasure to work with, and Sally made the most gorgeous cake I have ever seen and could ever imagine. The guests all thought it was stunning, and we didn’t want to cut into it to ruin it! Her sugar flowers were so stunning that everyone was shocked when they realized they weren’t real flowers! So moist and flavorful
Let me just say everyone was asking about the cake and who made it! It was the star of the show that evening. Sally made my cake for my wedding. We had two flavors - strawberry fields and the tuxedo chocolate and they were both so moist, soft, and rich. She is an amazing person and makes wonderful cakes. -

Can Not Recommend Enough!
The cake at our wedding was a huge talking point, and for good reason. Sally essentially creates a gorgeous painting with icing as the medium and cake as the canvas. From color scheming to small details, Sally was very communicative and helpful. The tasting process was a breeze, and she even made it possible for me to fly the samples in my luggage to Texas when visiting my (now) wife. You might look at a cake this pretty and think theres no way it also tastes good, but you would be incorrect. The array of flavor options she offers are awesome and all so delicious. Look no further because CakeBee is going to add that delicious detail you're looking for on your dream day. -

Beautiful, Tasty Cake
Sally created an unforgettable wedding cake for us that was better than what we had imagined both aesthetically and in taste. It was difficult to pick a flavor when we sampled several of her flavors because each one was so good (we went with strawberry lemonade)! Her design captured exactly what we had in mind. Sally's personality was the icing on top - we loved working with her. Thank you Sally for helping to make our special day unforgettable! -

Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved working with Cakebee. We knew from the first phone call with Sally that she was going to be the person to make our vision come to life. We had a loose idea of what we wanted and a general vision for the day and she took our input and created something more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! Our cake was a stunning three tiered buttercream floral cake with sugar florals and butterflies. We chose the vanilla buttercream and cookies and cream flavors and received so many compliments. The cake was delicious and beautiful! We can’t recommend Cakebee enough. -

Amazing Wedding Cake by Cakebee!!
Sally was an absolute dream to work with and made our cake dreams come true. I wanted a simple buttercream three-tier cake for about 65 people. The cake we received was elegant, classic, and delicious!! We chose from the standard flavors that Cakebee offers and you can't go wrong with them. I was also operating under one of the most extreme timelines for planning a wedding these days (about two and half months!) and Sally helped me to pull it off, for which I will be forever grateful. Don't hesitate to book this incredible artist and baker! -

Amazing Taste and Looks!
Sally from Cakebee was incredible! We loved the flavor selection and how easy it was! She mailed us a sampling of a few different flavors, and the hardest part was deciding which one to get - they were all so great! We finally decided on the Boston Creme. All of our guests loved it! The cake itself was absolutely gorgeous, you could tell how much effort went into it. She worked with us on a design for it to make it amazing! Definitely go with Cakebee! -

Sally was an absolute joy to work with! She created a timeless yet modern cake for my husband and I on our wedding day. We wanted a smaller cake for just that two of us with a cheesecake filling which was hard to come by. Sally was our saving grace and worked with us to make it happen! She was patient and kindhearted taking the time to design a custom cake that was within our price range that still looked elegant and tasted delicious. I cannot speak highly enough about the experience I had with Sally and am incredibly grateful for her kindness. I will definitely be referring Sally to future couples and hope to work with her again for future events! -

I was looking for hand-painted wedding cakes to fit my garden-like/whimsical wedding day vibe and Sally’s work immediately caught my eyes!!!
I was planning my own wedding in just 30 days and now I look back I feel this is the best decision I’ve made for my wedding.
Sally is efficient in communication, professional in her work, has amazing taste and vision in cake design, not to mention her cakes are beyond delicious!
At first I did not have a clear picture of what kind of style I like best so I just showed her some inspo photos. We had a 10min zoom meeting and thats it. Seeing her work through her ig (thecakebee) I just know Sally is on top of everything!
The cake delivered by Sally was marvelous and has everything I wanted even tho I did not know what it would look like in the first place!
Both the style and the flavor are top notch!!! (We all know how hard it can be)
All my friends took tons of picture/ and complimented on how delicious the cake and desserts were! I even took some pride in it myself and showed them how Sally made the cake step by step in her IG.
Her tasking box was so delicious we finished everything in 5min! I asked her for light sweetness and she knew what I want exactly! I personally love the hand-painted ones made from Italian buttercream as they are aesthetic, exquisite, and has that vintage baroque vibe in it which is a great add for many wedding scenes/venues.
I beg you all please choose Sally for your wedding cake!!!!! She is the best >. -

Dream Wedding Cake!
Sally did a a better job than I could have ever imagined and created my dream wedding cake!! We got so many compliments on how delicious the cake was and it looked like a piece of art. Amazing Baker! Cake design and taste was wonderfully amazing!!! Sally was wonderful to work with. Over a couple of calls and emails Sally created our perfect cake. We had a pink lemonade cake with white chevron design. It pleased what myself and my now wife wanted for our wedding cake. We received compliments from all our guests. We were so overjoyed that so so may enjoyed it.
Not only our Wedding cake, but I also had Sally create a Groom's Cake that we had at our reception dinner. The Groom's cake blew my expectations. I provided a general description of what I wanted, and it was done perfect. I can't wait to have another event to order a cake from Cakebee. We look forward to ordering a cake for our 1-year anniversary.

The best wedding cake you could ever have!
Our wedding cake from Sally at Cakebee was perfection. I asked Sally if she could base her design off of our nautical theme and she amazed me. Her creativity and uniqueness is unbelievable. We got red velvet on the inside and we loved it so much, as everyone else did. It was so delicious! Sally is a lovely person and I recommend Cakebee to anyone looking for a perfect wedding cake, inside and out! -

Delicious, beautiful, unique, and creative. Hands-down the best wedding cake I’ve ever laid eyes on. And an endless amount of flavor combinations. I went with Boston cream pie. I’m literally going to go back and get samples throughout the year because I can’t stop eating it. I told Sally I wanted unique and she certainly delivered. Check out the photo! So amazing!!!! Dream Cake and Cakepops
We got married 12/11/21 in Warrenton, VA. Sally was one of our favorite vendors to work with. She is truly passionate and a joy to work with. She really took the time to get to know us and listened to us and gave us our dream cake. We chose to do two flavors of wedding cake as well as three flavors of cakepops and both were a smash hit! For the cakepops we did Red Velvet, Gluten Free Vanilla, and Pumpkin. And for the Wedding Cake we did her Ivory Draped three layer cake with real and sugar flower carnations with two types of chocolate flavors: Black Tie and Chocolate Salted Caramel. We got to try a variety of cake and cakepop flavors and we are exciting to order another small 7" cake for our one year wedding anniversary this year. 10/10 would recommend her for your wedding or any other event! -

We found Sally and Cakebee through Wedding Wire way back in 2019 as we were looking for someone close to our venue in Warrenton and boy are we so glad we did! Trust us, if you’re looking for a cake that will be the talk of the reception both visually and on sheer deliciousness, go with Sally!
We had met Sally for our initial tasting and design brainstorm back in March 2020, before things went haywire with Covid-19. She hosted us at her home in a beautiful dining room and served us all the delicious flavors we picked from her list along with some tea. It was delightful. All the flavors were delicious but we decided to go with a 4 tier design that split two flavors, fall maple and chocolate with a buttercream frosting. Sally worked with us on the spot on design inspiration and sketched out a rough design we loved.
Then… Covid. We had to reschedule our wedding from Oct. 2020 to Oct 2021. Sally was so accommodating and understanding. We so appreciated it with the stress of pushing back a year.
We regrouped with Sally in May of 2021 and confirmed the details. Then we realized in September, about 7 weeks before our wedding, that we might need a few more desserts. Sally was kind enough to show us our offerings for a dessert table and said it would be no problem to add. They were MUCH better sounding/looking than what our venue offered, so it was a no brainer. We ended up getting 96 mini cupcakes and 96 cake shooters of a variety it Sally’s recommended flavors.
Let me tell you, not only were the aesthetics of the cake perfect with every detail we described perfectly incorporated, including the most beautiful and lifelike sugar flowers you could ever imagine, and the deliciousness of the fall maple and chocolate a big conversation topic, but everyone raved over the cupcakes and cake shooters as well. We couldn’t have been happier, and it was all thanks to Sally. You could not find someone who will take such great detail in design AND provide such delicious flavors as Cakebee.
Also, in the interim of the Covid delay we reached out to Sally for some holiday desserts (mini pies and tarts) and a Yule Log cake for our 2020 family Christmas. She doesn’t advertise them on her wedding site but she does all sorts of amazing treats. They were DELICIOUS. We highly recommend those as well. Sally is a master of her craft in everything she creates.

Delicious and beautiful cake!
My husband and I were looking for a wedding cake that was not only beautiful but also tasted great. We tried cake from several vendors, and Sally really blew everyone else out of the water. She was such a delight to work with and was super flexible with us when our wedding got postponed due to COVID. Our wedding ended up being smaller than anticipated (again, due to COVID) and Sally made it really easy to decrease the number of cake servings we ordered. I highly recommend Cakebee if you're looking for a beautiful wedding cake that tastes as good as it looks! -

Highly Recommend - Beautiful & Delicious Cakes!
Sally was such a pleasure to work with! She clearly understood our vision from the very beginning and helped us get exactly what we wanted based on our guest count. I loved how she provided a sketch from our first conversation that really solidified that she knew what we wanted (and what she's doing!). Her cake flavors are also amazing!! Even though we were having a small wedding, we couldn't decide between all of the flavors (because they are SO good!) so we decided to have a small cake and cake jars, and we were so pleased with our decision! We selected Almond Raspberry, Almond Chocolate, Earl Grey Chocolate, and Springtime. Everyone spoke of not only how beautiful our cake was, but how delicious it was. Sally is kind, talented, and very easy to work with. We cannot wait to order more desserts from Sally in the future! -

I can’t say enough about Sally and her delicious cake, it was probably one of my favorite things about my wedding. Out of all the vendors I chose for my wedding day, TheCakeBee probably was #1 my best decision. Her cake was not only beautiful, exactly what I asked for if not better, but it was absolutely delicious. My guests were coming up to me to tell me how much they loved the cake (I chose chocolate malted pretzel). Her flavors are all unique, and the taste is unlike any other cake I’ve tried. Best and Most Beautiful Wedding Cake
Loved working with Sally to create a beautiful, hand painted wedding cake that complimented my bouquet and table linens beautifully, was marvelously moist, and very very good. I had to move my wedding date up by a month and Sally was able to accelerate the production and delivery with 10’days notice. I enjoyed every step of the process from looking at her work on line, to trading emails on concepts, to the in-person cake tasting at her house in a gazebo where we also got to see the chickens that lay the eggs for Sally’s cake, to seeing our work of art in our wedding day. -

Perfect Wedding Cake - Amazing Vendor
Sally was such a pleasure to work with! She is so patient, understanding, and professional. Her cake samples were hands down the best of any we tried! In fact, we loved one flavor so much we used it for our entire cake (almond chocolate). Importantly, Sally was able to execute my vision. After just one short call, on zoom no less, she came up with something amazing. She was able to incorporate elements I wanted and she created a stunning and breathtaking design. The design incorporated elements of my veil which was such a special touch! Sally’s sugar florals, of which we had two, plus stems, were absolutely gorgeous! Her flexibility to try to accommodate for our wedding color palette and any allergies was also appreciated. You will not regret working with Sally. For my husband and I, our decision was a no-brainer! We would hire her again in a heartbeat!! -

Sally is the best! From our cake tasting - in the cutest little jars - to helping us customize flavors and design our cake vision, Sally was there every step of the way. We expressed an allergy concern with her and she told us she would even ensure she was not working with that ingredient the week of our wedding to be sure that there would be no cross-contamination. We went with the torn paper ruffles cake which was a show stopper! Everyone was taking pictures of it - and eating it! We had NOT ONE piece of cake left over! Not to mention - Sally drove this cake 3 HOURS to us for our Maryland wedding. Highly recommend Sally and her beautiful creations! -

Covid Wedding Cake
Working with Sally was so great! She was so kind and accommodating when we had to change our plans completely due to covid. She helped to design the cake and offer tips and suggestions on how to keep everything in budget even when everything changed completely. Our cake was so delicious! We were thrilled with our three tier wedding cake and really glad we opted for the artistic package! The cake was gorgeous!! It was almost too pretty to cut but all of it was gone by the end of the night, so we know it wasn't just looks. Sally is amazing and really works with you to make your vision come to life with delicious and fun flavors. She also made small surprise grooms cake for us that we ended up eating the next day at the farewell lunch. -

Wedding planning can be overwhelming. I first heard about 'Cakebee' through a co-worker. I was then excited to hear that she would be at one of the wedding expos I attended. After tasting one of her samples, I knew I had to book with her. I don't have the right words to describe it, it's like HEAVEN. One of my wedding guests said, "it was sex!" HAHA. I am so happy that Sally created my cake with her artistic package. One of the things I loved most about her is she never made me feel like I was asking too many questions. We went back and forth via email during the pandemic. She was patient and kind as I had to postpone my wedding 3 times!!! THANK YOU SO Much Sally. You are amazing! Made our vision a reality and then some - incredible!!
Sally and her beautiful work was a highlight of our entire wedding experience! From the personalized tasting, with more flavors than we even asked for, to the Cake layout and design, she made every step of the process so enjoyable and easy. She even has Styrofoam pieces to visualize what the cake will look like! Sally was so patient with us through a busy season of life and it’s truly a joy to work with. We had a specific pattern (watercolor painting actually) and she totally captured it through the icing colors and texture. I truly can’t imagine my wedding without her and her work!! -

Sally is both a pleasure to work with and an amazing baker! We had a great time doing our tasting with her, felt no pressure but walked away knowing we wanted to have her make our wedding cake. Her designs are incredible and incredibly tasty! We had many guests comment that they had never seen a wedding cake so stunning and couldn't believe that her sugar flowers weren't real! Both flavors of cake tasted amazing and were huge hits (one guest commented (while going for seconds) that wedding cake is so often just an after thought but that he would definitely remember this cake). We will be going to Sally for all of our cake needs moving forward! -

Perfect Cake for the Perfect Wedding
Sally was absolutely amazing! She welcomes my husband and I into her home for an intimate tasting. She was so friendly and kind hearted. We had such a hard time picking flavors because they were all so delicious!
Because of COVID, my husband and I had to push back our wedding 3 months. She worked around her schedule to make sure we were taken care of. Everything worked out perfectly! I received endless compliments about how delicious the cake was and how extravagant it looked! We saved her sugar flowers because they were too beautiful to eat/throw away.
I HIGHLY recommend Sally! We will be contacting her in the future! Especially for our anniversary cake. -

Sally helped my husband and I bring our dream of having a fairytale wedding come to life with the gorgeous cake she custom made just for us. Sally’s customer service was exceptional, and she even sent us complimentary samples of her cake flavors that we did not get a chance to try at the tasting.
Upon our first cake tasting Sally greeted us with a delightful charm and charisma which initiated a pleasant vibe throughout the meeting. An elegant place setting was set up for our arrival, which included bottled waters and hot tea, complete with sugar cubes and chic tea cups. Sally also displayed a few of her previous wedding cake design models at the meeting for our viewing.
We showed Sally a few of our designs that we preferred, and she was able to draft a few images for our liking within minutes. Sally also made sure to construct us a model of the cake size we wanted, so we could get a better perception. She went through various sizes of the Styrofoam cake figures until we were pleased with the results.
Not only was Sally’s designs unique with superb craftsmanship. We found her services to be affordable and precise to the qualities we deemed necessary. After hiring Sally as our wedding cake designer, we were very pleased to see all of Sally’s efforts in achieving our vision by keeping in contact with our planner on any updates with the cake. Sally even coordinated the floral arrangements surrounding our cake to match the flowers we used from the florist. The additional flowers added an innovative effect that we loved. Sally also made sure to check in with us when we started to approach the wedding date, making sure to remind us to bring a cake topper and stand. We rented a white stand from her team which made the task of buying a stand convenient for us.
We are so grateful to have worked with The Cake Bee team for our wedding. I anticipate keeping a relationship with this marvelous company in the future. We will be ordering our one-year anniversary cake from Cake Bee. I will recommend their services to anyone who is in the need of superior desserts and delightful client service.

Wedding and bridal shower
Sally was so great to work with! First, her cake tastings are so cute and she makes you feel so important from day 1. Second, she is so helpful. She made ordering our bridal shower cake so easy. Also, we ended up changing our amount of cake 3 times (making it bigger) and she worked with us. Then we had to change everything because of the Corona virus. Sally was so understanding and worked with us every step of the way. We ended up going from a wedding of 150 to 50. A week before the date. It was very odd circumstances but Sally worked with us every step. We ended up rescheduling our wedding till later in the year and she was more than happy to cooperate with our changes. Sally is not only an amazing cake maker but a very great person to work with. -

I found Cakebee at a bridal expo and absolutely fell in love with her cake! She was very flexible in setting up an appointment with me and I did my cake tasting at the comfort of her home. She does charge $35 for a cake tasting but this does get applied to the overall cake price so not a bad deal!
I had looked at a few other cake vendors before Sally but felt like another transaction rather than a person. Sally was the complete opposite...she was very warm, inviting and personable! She genuinely wanted to make sure that my wedding cake was perfect and it was! I chose the Boston cream flavor for the cake and also, had Sally make some smaller desserts as well. We had very little cake left over and all the desserts were gone at the end of the night! Her cake is very light, refreshing and her fondant was by far the best I've ever tasted. Thank you Sally for making my wedding day perfect and I can't wait to taste our top tier on our one year anniversary! :)

Sally is an artist! She and I spoke a lot before my actual Wedding day in order to make sure the vision for my cake would come to life. She is incredibly responsive and so easy to talk to. My cake came out exactly as I pictured it, even better! My husband and I couldn't make it to the DMV area to have a cake tasting because we live out of state, but Sally was insistent that we sample her work so she went above and beyond to deliver these beautiful little pieces of cake all the way to my parents house just so that we could try them when we arrived in state. I mean, that is true dedication. And let me tell you, I am addicted to cake, and this cake was BEYOND delicious. Everyone at my wedding wanted to know who made it. Not only that, but it was gorgeous, Sally's sugar flowers are a work of art. I'm so sad I didn't get to somehow save one - thats how beautiful they are! If you want a beautiful cake that tastes like heaven on your Wedding Day, please look no further. Sally is truly the Cake Boss! -

Perfect anniversary cake
Sally made a cake for our 50th anniversary. It quite literally took my breath away. Done with black and white ruffles and gold flower accents it was exquisite. And absolutely delicious. Thank you Sally for such a special cake. -

splendid and dreamy
we are so happy and grateful for her creativity and craftsmanship. the cake turned out beautiful and the flowers are unbelievably breathtaking. Everyone thought they were real flowers! My coordinator saved the flowers for me and even after 2 weeks later, I look at them and just amazed how beautiful they are. And ofcourse, the cake was delish! -

We were absolutely blown away by the beautiful, delicious wedding cake Sally made for our wedding! For the tasting, she prepared all kinds of icing and cake flavors for us to try and helped us pick out the perfect flavor combination. She worked with us to design a cake that fit our wedding theme and our budget. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and, most of all, tasted amazing. My husband absolutely loved it even though he isn't typically a big fan of sweets. We're looking forward to enjoying the top layer that we preserved for our one year anniversary.
