Absolutely Perfect & Delicious!

Cake Art was a fantastic addition to our big day. We knew we wanted cupcakes for our guests and a small cake for cutting. We did a tasting at the storefront to choose the perfect combinations. We ended up selecting four different types of cupcakes, and our guests raved about all of them—some even made a point to try every flavor because they were that good. I was thrilled to find that Susan had packed one of each flavor for my husband and me since there were no cupcakes left over by the end of the night —they were such a hit!

Our 6" cutting cake was gorgeous and perfectly matched our elegant, timeless wedding vibe. Not only did it look stunning, but it was also absolutely delicious.

I had a vision for the dessert display but couldn’t find anything that fit, so I ended up creating my own stands. Susan was incredibly accommodating, even when I wasn’t sure exactly what I was going to end up making. She simply advised me on how many stands I’d need and suggested asking our florist for some greenery to add to the cake. She made it all work beautifully, and the final display was absolutely stunning!

Susan was incredibly kind and great to work with. If you're considering Cake Art for your big day, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely keep Cake Art at the top of our list for any future cake needs!

Amazing!!!

We had a very pleasant experience working with Susan. She was very nice and very helpful and she turned my dream cake into a reality! She had everything down to the exact colors I wanted! The cake also tasted sooo delicious and everyone at the wedding absolutely commented on how delicious the cake was!

Excellent experience

We had a beautiful and delicious high end wedding cake made by Cake Art in Salisbury, MD. It was a small two tier cake serving 11 people and they made it exactly like the photo we provided. We had a flat tire on the way to Salisbury from NY and had to stop by a tire shop which delayed our ability to pick up the cake in time. By the time we got to Salisbury, the Cake Art shop had closed and the employees were out doing deliveries for other weddings and events. Susan, the shop's owner or manager, was amazing and she arranged for one of her employees to open the shop for us upon our arrival so that we can have our cake in time for our wedding the next day. We were very pleased with this vendor and highly recommend them for their skills and professional conduct and reliability!

Perfect, absolutely perfect.

I just have no idea how to explain our wedding cake other than absolutely perfect! The taste was amazing! People actually asked if it was a show piece because it was so real that it looked fake. Amazing!

Perfect & Delicious

We worked with Susan at Cake Art on our Wedding Cake, it was absolutely perfect and tasted even better than it looked! We planned long distance - Susan helped guide us through the best choices and was kind enough to send over a sketch while we were visualizing how it would turn out. But honestly, the best part was the cake itself!

Excellent quality and Service from Susan Patt of Cake Art, Salisbury MD. My daughter had gotten married in September. She had a bride and groom cake and the rest were cupcakes. Everything was absolutely gorgeous and they all looked like works of art. The guests of the wedding were commenting on how beautiful and how delicious the cupcakes were. All the flavors were great, especially the Espresso.
We all definitely recommend Cake Art for any event.

The cake was made just as my daughter requested for her wedding. We had a lot of people say how good it was too! Would definitely recommend Cake Art. Instead of having to freeze the cake, the happy couple gets a free cake on their one year anniversary. Now that’s the icing on the cake!

Cake Art did a fantastic job on our wedding cake! It was exactly what we wanted on the outside and tasted so delicious on the inside! They worked closely with our florist to add real flowers to our cake. We chose pink champagne with a butter cream icing. It was perfect! Thank you for making our day extra sweet!

Cake Art was the best decision we made for our wedding. Susan was so easy to work with and was willing to meet any and all of our requests. We requested a Smith Island Wedding Cake and there was not a single piece of cake left at our wedding- that speaks for itself! Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the cake was! Not only was it delicious, but it was gorgeous. You cannot go wrong with selecting Cake Art for your wedding!

I loved working with Susan at Cake Art. She made our cake based on a Pinterest picture, and it turned out gorgeous. We got so many compliments on it! She was a breeze to work with and they offer a complimentary cake topper for the 1 year anniversary! Can't wait to eat it again!

Cake Art was the only bakery willing to accommodate my severe dairy allergy to create the wedding cake of our dreams. Susan is fantastic to work with and our cake was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious. Our guests are still raving about how wonderful it was. We had a three-tiered champagne cake, 2 layers filled with raspberry and 1 layer filled with orange crème. Spectacular!!

Pretty much the only thing I had an opinion about for my wedding was the sweet's table. Susan exceeded my dreams. The cupcakes were delicious and beautiful. There was pink and gray and glitter and pearls, she captured my every wish. I didn't think anything could rival my love of a cupcake and then there were the sugar cookies. Although I didn't make specific requests I did choose my flavors at the tasting and we discussed my likes and looked at some photos from that meeting she presented me with perfection! It was truly Cake Art! Thank you xoxo

Cake Art - what a wonderful company to work with. I presented a challenge to the owner and she exceeded my expectations. One of our friends had a birthday party scheduled during the week of the Poodle Specialty Show in Salisbury MD. I called Cake Art to see if they could fashion a cake with a poodle on it. What we received was spectacular. The cake and filling was divine. I am hoping the Poodle specialty will return to Salisbury in the future and we will certainly have Cake Art do this again. The owner is superior and her attention to detail is an art in itself. If I didn't live so far away, Cake Art would be the only baker I would order from. Thank you Thank you Thank you This was a Win Win situation all around.

I took her a picture from Pinterest of the cake I wanted she got it exactly as I wanted. It was beautiful and tasted awesome! Love this place.

My husband and I have always loved Cake Art's cupcakes, so choosing our wedding cake characteristics was a bit of a challenge. He was all about the frosting and I was all about the flavor. After the delicious cake tasting several months before our wedding, we finally decided on a cake that included both frosted and naked tiers. It was a dream! Susan was flexible with our initial indecisiveness, and the final product was better than I could have hoped for!

Susan of Cake Art is amazing to work with. She is so funny and helpful! We had such a good time at our tasting with her. Her cakes are to die for! She has so many flavor options its hard to choose just a few. The cake turned out exactly as she'd drawn it up and was so delicious! About a week before the wedding we had to bump up the size to accommodate a larger guest list and it was so easy to do and she assured me it would be great. I would definitely recommend her bakery!

Susan was awesome and had great ideas on flavor combinations. It was the best cake I have ever tasted, it was very moist and the icing was awesome. My cake turned out beautiful and even the guest commented on how good the cake tasted and how well put together it was. I would very highly recommend Cake Art to anyone and everyone I talk to. It was such and easy experience and smooth planning process. If you want a beautifully made cake that taste beyond amazing and for a decent price then definitely go with Cake Art. I will definitely use them again in the future for any occasion.

Susan from Cake Art is so fun and easy to work with! We designed our cake 8 months before the wedding and I literally didn't have to do anything else until the wedding day where I got to devour the deliciousness. It was one big thing off my plate that was no stress at all! I highly recommend Cake Art for your wedding day! Your stress-free mind and tastebuds will be happy :)

Working with Susan was amazing!!!! She is such a fun loving, happy, and personable person! From the cake tasting, to the numerous emails, to the day of the wedding..... She was always right there! I brought a picture to the tasting of the cake that we had picked out, and boy did she NAIL IT !!!!! We walked into our reception and the cake was even more beautiful than the picture I showed her!!! The cake was delicious, and is something our guests are still raving about! Thank you so much to the entire staff at Cake Art for adding to the memories we will forever treasure from our wedding day !

Our cake was not only beautiful, it was very delicious. So tasty in fact that my son had to give me his piece, because everyone had eaten it all by the time I got around to it.

We had a color change request, and there was no problem with that, so that was also appreciated.

The wedding was in Chincoteague and we came from Northern Delaware, so coordinating everything was a little tedious. However Susan was very helpful with many suggestions, so it was very simple for us.

We would definitely recommend this bakery anytime!

Cake Art and Susan Patt are awesome. Susan made our cake tasting so much fun. She was able to design a perfect cake even though we walked in with no idea what we wanted! We ended up walking out of there with not 1, not 2, but 3 cakes!!! (a wedding cake, a groom's cake, and a rehearsal dinner cake.)
Not only do these cakes look amazing, but WOW, they are DELICIOUS. Our guests were commenting about the taste during our rehearsal dinner, at our reception, and still 5 days later people are still telling me how amazing they tasted!
I highly recommend Cake Art!

Cake Art did such an amazing job with my cake. I showed Susan my design that I had in mind, but wanted to tweak it just a bit to fit my style a little more, just couldn't figure out how. So I gave her some ideas and let her have creative license on it. She pulled off the perfect cake. The guests went back for seconds and thirds. Everyone told me "that cake is so you" and it was. It fit my style and personality. Not to mention how delicious it was! The vanilla raspberry was so moist and full of flavor! Cake Art will definitely have a life time customer.

My cake was both beautiful and delicious! Everyone was saying it was the best wedding cake they had ever had! We had 3 layers: vanilla with raspberry, red velvet with buttercream, and lemon with buttercream. All 3 were great. I highly recommend!

My wedding cake was everything I wanted it to be and more! It was not only beautifully decorated but was so delicious! Cake Art is the only place I order any cake I need. Susan and her team have done 2 birthday cakes previously for me, so I knew without a doubt where I would be going for my wedding cake. Highly recommend, you will never be disappointed with Cake Art.

They did a fabulous job! We had Cakeart do both our wedding cake and our groom's cake; I really could not be happier with the results. Not only were the cakes just what we discussed, but they were absolutely delicious. We had our wedding an hour away at the Eastern Shore Country Club and they delivered it and set it up. The coordinator at the Country Club stated that it was the most cake eaten of any wedding cake that she had seen since she has been there. She has been there for ten years! Absolutely wonderful job!

After finding out that the bakery we had shut down 45 days before my wedding date, i thought that there was no way i would find another bakery with an opening. Cake art was amazing, not only did they have the opening, they were also very willing to help us make sure we had the wedding cake we wanted! I would recommend this bakery to everyone looking for cakes & cupcakes! They really did an amazing job and the cupcakes were fantastic!

The ladies at Cake Art are awesome. We had a baseball themed weddind with cupkakes that had baseball stiches. They delivered the cupcakes and set them up for us. Most important of all the cupcakes were delicious. We had lemon, chocolate, and banana and I loved all three. I would highly recommend Cake Art for any event.

Cake Art is by far the best bakery in this area. I had the most incredible non-traditional cake and it was everything I had imagined for my wedding. Susan and her team are amazing and can produce whatever you like. The cake flavors are out of this world. My wedding was almost seven months ago and our families are still talking about the cake... How awesome it looked and how amazing it tasted! I will continue to get any and every cake, cupcakes etc from Susan because they are so worth it!!! I highly recommend everyone to use Cake Art for their wedding cake and any other special occasion cake!!!

Susan and her team are wonderful. From the first time I sat down with Susan to discuss the vision for my wedding cake she understood exactly what I wanted. I was so impressed by how professional and organized she was in our first meeting. She drew a sketch of the cake to confirm my vision, and it was perfect. My mother, who is not a fan of fondant, absolutely loved Susan's. On my wedding day a few weeks ago, the cake was delivered in beautiful condition and tasted fabulous! We received so many compliments on it!

The wedding cake that Susan Patt designed for my sister's wedding was not only fabulous to look at, but undeniably delicious. The fondant icing that she uses is actually from France! Or is it Italy? Anyway, it tastes like vanilla candy and the butter creme icing under it... yummy! I actually had to eat 2 pieces since my sister ordered a 2 or 3 tiered cake with different flavors. You can tell quality when you taste it!

I went to the tasting appointment - which, by the way, was fun and delicious too!

Call Cake Art and book your wedding cake - you won't regret it! She also has these yummy cake bites too. I'm officially addicted!

We got married Saturday April 7th 2012. The cake was our last piece of the puzzle almost 30 days before. We went to Cake Art in Salisbury, MD. She did the most Beautiful Cake! The icing was Butter Cream that was so silky and just the right amount of Sweetness. We got so many compliments on it!!
They did a Wonderful Job and I would Recommend them to anyone :)

Susan is outstanding! We had 2 cakes, both entirely custom made from only a thought in my mind. The first one combined my beach interest with my husband's interest in trees and nature. It was fantastic looking, and wonderful tasting! The second was a surprise deer cake for my husband. He loved it and it made for a special surprise. The toppers were replicas of us, down to the camo vest and bowtie he wore and a dress like my wedding dress. I totally recommend Cake Art! Another great vendor we had who made us feel comfortable, with no worries as to getting it done and having it delivered on time!

The best experience I had with a vendor was by far with Susan Patt of Cake Art. My wedding was in my home town and I planned it almost entirely from 1500 miles away. She was extremely understanding of that fact and worked with me via email to ensure our cake and cupcakes were what we wanted. She made sure that they were ready in a timely manner and looked beautiful as well. I would recommend her company to anyone who is looking for wedding cakes or treats for special occasions. She went above and beyond for us and I am so thankful for her professionalism and that her cakes could be a part of our special day. Thank you Susan!!!

We fell in love with an expensive artsy cake from a magazine and had it priced at about 6 different bakeries. Not only did Cake Art give us the best quote, but they also gave us the best experience. The tasting was so much fun and they were able to whip up different choices and combinations on the fly. The cake was brought on time and perfect- exceeding our expectations. It tasted as good as it looked and the guests finished it all!
We did not hesitate to call Susan again at Cake Art for our 1 year anniversary party- again the cake was perfect and she was very flexible. We will be using Cake Art for all of our anniversaries to come as well as other celebrations- you would be wise to do the same.

My wedding cake and the entire experience from tasting appointment to cake cutting event was fantastic. The fondant icing tasted like vanilla candy and was tender and easy to cut. The design was 1st class and the cake was delicious. So delicious that we ate it for breakfast the next morning after the wedding! I don't even know where to start with this review. I guess to sum it up I would have to say that our experience with Cake Art is heaven in cake form. We ended up getting a small cake (to cut) and a bunch of cupcakes for our wedding. The cake was soaked in Grand Mariner and had a chocolate truffle filling. OMG! I cannot wait until our 1 year anniversary because we have already promised ourselves that we are getting another cake from Susan! The cupcakes were spice cake, yellow cake, and red velvet. Our guests raved about the flavors. I don't remember every actually liking a wedding cake before- but Susans creations are just as delicious as they are gorgeous. Susan did a great job listening to what we wanted. She was always quick to respond to any questions that we had. I would happily recommend Susan (Cake Art) to anyone! I can't wait to go back!

Jamie Brown TregoeSusan is an Amazing Artist and equally amazing person. I have used her on numerous occasions for many special milestones in my life starting with my bridal shower, then my rehersal dinner and finally my wedding day. Our wedding cake was Awesome. She was able to complete my vision to perfection. Since then she has made cakes for my daughters 1st and 2nd Birthdays and I am about to have her make my son's 1st Birthday cake. She is always there to answer any and all questions and makes me always feel special never like a bother. She is more than willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. Susan met with me and really listened while I described what I wanted; I wanted simple but fun, and not at all ornate but still classy. I gave her my colors, and told her I was using daisies and hydrangeas as my flowers, and boy did she deliver! My cake was beautiful AND delicious, and three of my friends from my wedding remembered her and used her for THEIR wedding baker.

Taste - the cake was incredibly moist and light, while the fillings were fresh and smoth. I preserved the top layer for my one year anniversary, and while I was impressed that the fresh raspberry compote was still crisp & tart, it was the freshness of the cake that really delighted me. No soggy bottoms from Susan!

She was one of the best wedding vendors I worked with, and I look forward to working with her for baby showers and other catered events.

Susan created the perfect wedding cake for my Husband & I, she was very attentive and made it clear that she wanted to make the cake exactly how I wanted it. Even calling weeks before the wedding and wanting to change important details, without hesitation, was very flexible. She also made our Groom's cake as well.

Overall, her team is very professional and talented. My family has purchased cakes from her for every family event for years.

I am in love with Cake Art and will always recommend them to friends and family. I called the store 2 weeks before my wedding and made an appointment because I couldn't find anyone else in the area that would make the cake that I wanted exactly the way I wanted it. I met with Susan not knowing that she was the owner. She was very professional and knowledgeable about cakes and fondant. She made my dream cake that I sent a picture to her from my cell phone! (now that's artistry!) Her price was reasonable and she had my cake delivered on time, in great shape and tasting good. My guests even liked the fondant, which is sometimes not good on cakes. Susan was able to draw, execute and deliver the cake that I never knew could be possible to physically bake. Unbelievable the work that comes out of a small town shop and the home town girl. Everyone thought it was a high-end big city bakery from far away! It was truly amazing. I found my rental cake stand that was 16" square, completely covered in rhinestones, from California. Susan took delivery of the stand, and transformed the entire piece into a work of sparky perfection with real fuchsia and purple orchids, with embedded diamond hair pins throughout the flowers. I would love to provide you a picture of this cake with the hopes of having you use this with your print edition.

the cupcakes and cake were delicious, moist and really pretty and fun. they could deliver them which was a bit of a bummer but they were great to work with and flexible with my last minute changes.

the cupcakes flavors were not as 'strong' as i'm used to - salty caramel was not that salty for example, but they did have a wide appeal.

the almond cake with truffle was our favorite. i would highly recommend cake art.

A little pricey, but the cake was beautiful. Susan will make you the cake of her dreams. She loves what she does, and what she does it art. Her cakes are not only beautiful, but they taste awesome! People actually eat her fondant! It has a flavor and is really good. Susan has been in our shoes, she has been through the wedding process, and if need be, she will take a minute to talk to you and just let you vent lol. Amazing lady!!

Overall our experience with Susan was good. We had a tasting with her a while ago and everyone that went with us agreed that her cake was fantastic.

Our cake was delivered on time on our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and was exactly what we asked for on the outside.

When we cut into our cake we were a bit disappointed because our bottom tier was not the filling we agreed on with Susan. It was something we were really looking forward to, and one of the reasons we chose her. I discussed this with her after the wedding and she was wonderful. It appears there was some confusion about the type of filling we wanted but she did explain what happened and was very apologetic about everything. Overall I would still recommend Cake Art.

The wedding cake tasted wonderful! My only complaint is they don't deliver unless your wedding size is 150 people. So if you have a small wedding you have to worry about picking it up.

We are sorry we weren't able to deliver your cake, we deliver 3 tier cakes that serve 85 guests or more but it is also based on availability. Cake Art is located in an adorable shop in Salisbury. The owner is very personable and confident in her creations. The cake tastes absolutely amazing - so good! I have been to a few weddings since ours and noticed a big difference in the quality of others' cakes vs. ours' at Cake Art. The big disappointment, however, was that when I showed the owner a photo of our cake, she said she could create the cake exactly as the photo. Unfortunately the cake did not have the things we discussed. Instead of blossoms gradually opening, the flowers looked like pre-made or pre-bought daisies. (They may not have been but the looked that way). This was extremely disappointing when you want your day to be perfect and you were very confident in the cake yet it didn't come out as you had discussed and as the photograph showed. Oh well!

The product is excellent but I wish the staff was a little cleaner - very dirty aprons make me worry about overall cleanliness. Don't expect them to go out of the box - they make cupcakes and wedding cakes. Asking for a birthday cake made me feel I was imposing. The cupcakes are excellent tho and made for a nice birthday party.

Thanks for your review, we keep very busy mixing all our cake batters and icings here each day so we do tend to get a bit on our uniforms. We just got a great inspection from the health dept last week with no violations. We are so happy you like our cupcakes and we hope to see you in again soon.
