Absolutely Amazing

Caitlin was an absolute dream to work with, along with her assistant, Emma. The best way to describe Caitlin is she is the perfect balance of everything you need in a photographer. She is extremely organized, efficient, and professional yet she is hilarious and down-to-earth. Caitlin guided us through the entire day with a calm, warm demeanor which really allowed me and my husband to relax and have fun in every moment. It was important to me to find a photographer that would encompass all of that, and I couldn’t imagine anyone doing a better job. She and Emma work effortlessly together and captured every moment we hoped for. Most importantly, we could not be more pleased with our photos! I’m biased, but THEY’RE STUNNING!! Would love to work with both again in the future.

Best investment I've ever made!

There are no words to describe how wonderful our experience was with Caitlin Thomas Photography. Both Caitlin and Emma, her assistant, are incredible to work with. We loved every minute! Like many people, I feel awkward in front of the camera (I don’t know what to do with my hands!). From the minute we began our engagement session, we felt completely relaxed and at ease – we never felt like we were getting our pictures taken, but more that we were hanging out with friends who happened to have cameras. I was SO relieved to see the both of them on our wedding day while I was getting ready – they immediately calmed my nerves. The entire day, they were always available, but never intrusive at all. We had so much fun with them because they are both so kind, easygoing, and just wonderful to be around! As an added bonus, they were so great with timing that we arrived early to our reception, allowing us some extra party bus time before heading in!

Caitlin is so very talented, and gave us an incredible, gorgeous mix of unique and emotion-filled images – we will cherish them forever! We are so grateful that we could have Caitlin and Emma as our photographers. Do NOT hesitate to book them – I did as soon as I could, and am so glad I could. LOVE THEM!

If you are like me and pictures are a very important part of your wedding day because that is what you will use to commemorate your day for ever and ever, choose Caitlin. I cannot recommend her enough. I found her through a friend who used her for her wedding. The pictures she took for my friends wedding looked like they were literally out of a wedding magazine!! With us - first, she started with our engagement pics (included in our wedding package), which were amazing. We were hoping to wing things and she was able to find beautiful spots to take so so many amazing photos in. She got them all edited and back to us within a month (and this, mind you, is during peak wedding season).
THEN comes the wedding planning. I was a very detailed planner, and Caitlin and I were a match made in vendor heaven. She was in contact with us throughout our 2.5 year engagement, helping us get a grip on what we will need for wedding time, and then about a month before, she sends over a whole website (!!!) for us to fill out to keep track of things we want, timelines, contacts, picture lists, etc. Not having to type that all up in an email and answer it questionnaire style was literally the best ever.
I even received an email from her at one point telling me that if I need to talk about wedding planning to get talked back from the ledge, she could talk me down. How great is that - not only concerned with her piece in the wedding, but making sure that things are going great for me.
On the wedding day, Caitlin and her assistant photographer Megan were like ninjas. Everything we wanted in pictures was captured beautifully.
Our wedding photos were sent to us while we were on our honeymoon - not even 2 weeks after the event - GORGEOUS. Totally edited and ready to use. She uses an online album sharing tool to view (and you can download/order as well from there). But is also sending along a USB full of all the pictures for us to keep.
Caitlin you ROCK!! I would recommend you to ANYONE!

Caitlin and her team are seriously THE BEST EVER! I could not have asked for a more amazing team of photographers for our wedding day. They made us feel at ease in front of the camera and captured some incredible moments throughout the day. I loved working with Caitlin every step of the way and we got so many amazing photos of our special day. I cannot thank the photo angels at Caitlin Thomas Photography enough! Love you all!

We could not be happier with Caitlin Thomas Photography. Caitlin was amazing to work with from the beginning of our engagement and even after the wedding. On your wedding day you want to capture every single moment while still feeling comfortable and natural- these girls nailed it! Caitlin, Jennie & Emma were absolutely amazing and didn’t miss one second! Their professionalism was evident and their great personalities made it so much fun! Highly highly recommended!

I can't recommend Caitlin and her team enough. The photos from our wedding turned out better than I could have imagined and Caitlin and Emma were so fun to spend the day with. I was worried about cramming all of our photos with family, the wedding party and just ourselves into the hour between the ceremony and reception, but Caitlin was incredibly organized and got all of the shots we needed in no time. When I was notified shortly before the ceremony that my husband was stung in the face by a bee, Caitlin was the first one to calm me down and come up with a game plan in case his face was swollen (luckily that didn't happen until the next day). Caitlin was also great to work with during the planning process and was always very quick to respond if any questions or concerns came up. We wound up with hundreds of beautiful photos that were well worth the investment.

If you're looking at this you know there are a thousand photographers in the area; stop looking immediately and hire Caitlin Thomas Photography! I was overwhelmed with choices, but we knew right after meeting with Caitlin that she was it. Her work (and her associate's work) speaks for itself. They know exactly what they are doing and will make sure you get beautiful and polished but natural looking photos. We got so many compliments about our photos and how amazing they looked.
In addition to talent, Caitlin and the other girls are just super nice, helpful, and comfortable to be around. You won't feel awkward having your pictures taken. It's like being around a friend who just happens to have a camera. Caitlin also helped me answer some non-photo related wedding questions so everything could run as smoothly as possible.
I whole-heartedly recommend this photographer. Photos are one of the most important aspects of the wedding, and you will be so happy with this choice!

I am so happy that I decided to use Caitlin Thomas Photography for my wedding. From our first conversation, I knew Caitlin and Jennie were fantastic. My husband and I planned our wedding from out of town in 4 months, so we certainly were not the easiest clients to work with, but Caitlin and Jennie were amazing. They were so flexible and even met with us over Google video chat, since I could not make it to Pittsburgh. We had the pleasure of having associate photographer Jennifer shoot our engagement and wedding photos. She was absolutely fantastic! It truly felt as though one of our long time friends was photographing our wedding. She arrived on time, was very professional (even though I was running behind schedule), and flexible when I added on additional family photos the day of the wedding. She dealt with my overbearing family and kept everything moving smoothly. She kept me calm and even when a guest accidentally spilled red wine on my train during cocktail hour. Jennie captured the most beautiful moments of my husband and I's special day, and we are so grateful for that. Our wedding photos were finished in about 1 week! The photos are more beautiful than I could imagine and the editing was flawless (there is no sign of any red wine on my wedding dress!). My family and I are so impressed by the quality and quantity of the wedding photos. I am so happy that I chose Caitlin and Jennie for my wedding photography. I am excited to have another big life event just so they can photograph it! I have already recommended them to my friends getting married next year.

After our first meeting with Caitlin, we knew she was perfect for our day! We had a blast with her during our engagement shoot and she had great recommendations on locations around the city! Caitlin and Jennie were our shooters for the wedding, and they were so much fun! It is like you are hanging out with friends, not vendors. They were very professional and took absolutely AMAZING photos. When our wedding was running late, they even stayed longer to make sure they got all the shots. I usually don't like photos of myself, but truly love EVERY SINGLE PHOTO that she took on our day! I would recommend her to anyone! She captured our day perfectly!

After Caitlin photographed a friend of mine’s wedding a few years ago, I knew that I wanted her to shoot my wedding as well! It was one of our best wedding-planning decisions! Caitlin and Sam were extremely professional and easy to get along with. We planned our wedding from out of state, and it was so easy to get in touch with Caitlin via email or phone/skype during planning. Since my husband and I are shy, we were worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera but Caitlin made us feel so at ease during our engagement and wedding photos. On the wedding day, we didn’t have many specific shots in mind and we just trusted her to photograph our day and it was amazing! They were so fun to hang out with too. I LOVE the photos, and we have received so many compliments from our guests, many who have said they are the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen! The best compliment comes from my husband, who said the photos make our wedding look even more beautiful than we remember it ☺

Caitlin was so accommodating during the planning process, regularly emailing and skyping with us to plan out our wedding day. We met with her in person the week before the wedding and she really put all of fears at ease. We talked through the general photography plan, she suggested locations for our first look and group pictures and even made sure we had a contingency plan in the event of rain. On the day of, Caitlin and her second shooter Jennie were ultimate professionals. From the minute she arrived at the bridal suite she put everyone at ease and fit in like we had been lifelong friends. I have to admit that I was a bit concerned about being awkward in front of the camera but she was so impressive and really made it all feel effortless. Not only that, she was extremely sweet in her instructions and worked with great speed so that we weren't all standing around unnecessarily while she thought through next steps. Once the entire wedding party was together, Caitlin totally let us dictate where we wanted to go to ensure that we got all the pictures we wanted and when we were out of suggestions she let her creative genius guide! I absolutely love the way out urban pictures turned out and am so thankful that they aren't your typical awkward, forced wedding photos. Caitlin did an incredible job capturing candid shots that genuinely evoke so much emotion without being cheesy. I will also say that she was incredibly accommodating during our family photos. I have a large, at times unruly family and she was able to get all our requested family shots done quickly and painlessly! She continued to check in with me throughout the night to make sure she was getting everything I wanted and had a sneak peek of our pics up just a few days after the wedding. We received our full online gallery in less than 3 weeks. I've received non-stop compliments about how beautiful our photos are!! I wholeheartedly recommend her!

I had been following Caitlin's work for a few years before getting engaged and KNEW I wanted her as my wedding photographer. Needless to say, Caitlin was the first vendor my husband and I booked for our wedding. From our first meeting to the wedding day, Caitlin was a DREAM to work with. Our engagement session was so much fun - Caitlin hopped in our car and we traveled around Oakland (with our dog) and had the best time. The photos (especially of our pup with my engagement ring on his nose) turned out incredible. Fast forward to the wedding day - Caitlin and Sam (second shooter) were the best - they fit right with our family and friends! They truly captured our day perfectly - when I saw the photos for the first time, I cried. I am still speechless. A side from being a rock star photographer, she is a truly genuine person who I am honored to now call a friend. Thanks so much Caitlin (and SAM!)!!

Caitlin you are amazing! Caitlin and Sam produced the most beautiful images for not only our wedding but our Engagement shoot which completely captured both my husband and my personalities! It was really hard for me to find A photographer because I am one myself....and I had really high expectations and Caitlin and Sam totally delivered! I appreciate how professional and fun they were on the day of our wedding! I also love that they were able to capture all of the emotions throughout the day, while also keeping us on track! Caitlin was super organized with the family and bridal photos, which made life easier (because no one likes doing those)! Amazing photos!

Caitlin and her assistant for our wedding (Samantha) were fantastic to work with! Caitlin had scoped out our venue in advance and found all of the best places to take pictures. Some of our favorite photos were taken in spots we never would have thought of.

We absolutely love her fresh style and artistry and are so happy that we will have her works of art in our home as a memento of one of the best days of our lives.

Caity was 100% everything you'd ever want out of a photographer: she was calm presence on an otherwise chaotic day and ready with advice and solutions (when asked) when challenges or questions arose at the last minute. She was professional and helpful throughout the entire planning process and was ready to work as soon as she arrived on our wedding day. My proofs arrived by email very quickly and a preview was put up on her blog within days of our event. My family and friends are already talking about calling her for future weddings, family portraits and I'll definitely be calling her again in a few months for my maternity session. Positively cannot thank her enough for everything she did for me and my husband to turn our perfect day into the most beautiful pictures.

Choosing Caitlin Thomas Photography was one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning process. I am literally OBSESSED with my pictures. She has a very easy going personality that makes you feel like she's just a friend hanging out with you that happens to take awesome pictures. Caitlin and her assistant Sam were with us on our wedding day and they were so amazing. They got all of the shots that I asked for but some of my favorite ones are when she caught little moments that have so much meaning and would have been otherwise unnoticed. They were a joy to work with that day and helped me feel so relaxed and calm. Her beautiful pictures and endless positive reviews speak for themselves and I will definitely keep her in mind for future photography needs--she does family pictures too! :)

We absolutely loved having Caitlin as our photographer! She is not only talented and creative, but was extremely supportive throughout the entire process. Caitlin and her husband Jim (second shooter) spent the entire day and evening with us capturing every special moment. They were both very supportive and made us feel comfortable during the transitions in the timeline. Our wedding pictures are beyond amazing! Caitlin is a true artist and she was very helpful throughout the wedding planning process. She has a lot of practical advice and knowledge and she honors your vision and wishes for the day. She worked quickly and took great photos of family groups and our bridal party, (we didn't want to spend a long time taking posed photos because it was hot outside and we were excited to join our guests at the cocktail hour). Throughout the day, she and her second shooter, Sam, made everyone comfortable and discretely caught moments without making people self conscious about being photographed. We love candid shots, and she really captured some amazing moments for us to cherish.

I suppose I shouldn't do this until I get all the wedding pictures back, but Caitlin Thomas (and her husband Jim) were wonderful on our wedding day. We wanted pictures outside when it was super hot. She grouped everyone so that only certain people were outside at one time, and she moved like lightning so that we could all get inside and stay cool. She captured the day while simultaneously being unobtrusive, remaining behind the scenes. I love her work, and I am so glad she was able to work with us.

My husband and I love Caitlin! I spent a long time trying to find the perfect photographer within our budget, and Caitlin was absolutely the right choice! We had a great time with her shooting our included engagement session. Caitlin and her husband/second shooter Jim were great at keeping us calm during our wedding day. Her style is perfect for us. She was also really quick with getting our photos to us after the wedding- we were able to view them during our homeymoon! I can't recommend Caitlin enough!

I researched my wedding photographer for a year before stumbling upon Caitlin's wedding wire page. As soon as I saw examples of her photography style I knew she had been the one I was looking for! We planned our wedding from 10 hours away and this made things complicated when it came to planning and organizing, etc. Caitlin was flexible. She video chatted with us before we made our decision and even shot our engagement pictures on a rainy, cold day (thank you again!). She posted our wedding blog the same week we got married and we already have a disc of all of our images! Caitlin (& Jim!) captured the spirit of our day without us even noticing! I also agree with the previous bride, Caitlin was a great support during the wedding and put us at ease following a stressful situation with our transportation. Hire Caitlin, you will be glad you did!

We LOVED having Caitlin (and her husband Jim) as our photographers! Despite an emotional few weeks leading up to the wedding making it somewhat of a bittersweet occasion, she was always professional, reassuring, and making me laugh. It was like having a bonus friend and supporter throughout the process as we emailed back and forth and met for coffee. As soon as we met in person, I knew there wasn't anyone else that understood what we were looking for the way she did. She calmed me - even on the day of the wedding - and took just the most gorgeous and personal photos we could have ever imagined (and so far, we've only seen those she posted to her blog!). All of our friends and family have commented on not only how wonderful her pictures were but also how nice she was as a person, and I'm not sure there's a higher compliment. Thanks again!

Caitlin was terrific! I was running late for our wedding, and when i got to the site Caitlin was there and had already taken shots of our reception area, my gown, and everything else that she could until I arrived. I felt so relieved to know that not all had been lost and her calm attitude was totally helpful in the rush of things. Her photographs truly capture the spirit of our wedding day. She took beautiful photos during our ceremony without interrupting, and awesome night shots of us running through sparklers. I am so grateful that she was willing to work with us last minute; her soft-focus style and simplistic imagery reflected our own personal style wonderfully. Thank you Caitlin!

Caitlin was awesome! Everyone that looked at our photos said they were the best wedding pictures they had ever seen! Her photo journalistic style captured not only beautiful still shots but the real emotion and memories of the evening! From the first meeting I knew she would be perfect- personable, interested, creative, and reasonably priced! She blended right in during the course of the evening- as if we had been friends forever- but the most talented friend you have! An extra bonus is she blogs your wedding which is a great way for friends and families to scroll through pictures without the annoying slideshow. My wedding was made even more perfect knowing that the night would be captured with amazing pictures!

I could not have asked for a better photographer than Caitlin. She photographed a wedding I was in a couple of years ago and I was blown away by her pictures; as it came time for my wedding I knew she was the only person I wanted to photograph the day! Working with her is enjoyable and easy. She made being photographed (which can always be awkward) very comfortable and fun. Above all, her pictures are beautiful. Every one who has seen them has been blown away. I recommend her strongly!!

Caitlin was amazing. We had a wonderful day with wonderful vendors but she was one of my favorites. She is creative, energetic, professional, and knowledgeable. I searched high and low for a photographer but as soon as I saw her website, I knew she'd be a great match. Then when I met her, I was so excited she would be working with us. I loved her so much that I have recommended her to everyone I know. Her photographs are wonderful and unique and I have gotten endless compliments on them. Not only does she do great work, she's also an awesome person. She is one of Pittsburgh's best vendors.

We had the pleasure of having Caity with us memorial day weekend for our wedding. She was there from start to finish and captured our perfect day. She goes above and beyond and does an AMAZING job! Hiring Caitlin Thomas was the BEST decision we made in planning our wedding. From the onset, she was absolutely amazing to work with and one of the few aspects of my wedding that I didn't question or worry about. She is very professional and organized, yet brings a freshness to the wedding scene that was really appreciated. And being her subject is similarly natural and comfortable as she puts you at ease effortlessly. Not to mention that her photographs are absolutely beautiful, unique, and very natural-looking (no stiff or awkward poses here). Based only on our sneak peak on her blog, my friends & family are raving and I could not love my photos any more- they really capture US as a couple and individuals, looking like us. Caitlin is the most amazing photographer ever! I heard about her through some friends so I checked out her website. She had a contest going on at the time so I decided to enter and I ended up winning an engagement session at a deeply discounted price. We met her a few weeks later for our engagement session and we just fell in love with her! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (which isn't easy since I have always been so self conscience of my appearance). She is so easy to talk to and has a wonderful personality. We immediately booked her for our wedding. I just got back my wedding proofs a few weeks ago and she did an outstanding job! Her work is very modern and beautiful. She captured every little detail of our wedding day. Choosing Caitlin was the best decision I ever made. She is now our photographer for life!

Caitlin is fantastic! She is knowledgeable, and professional, but fun and fresh. She was great to work with. She pays great attention to detail, is thorough in the planning process, and was just a blast to work with the day of. Our photos are amazing, and we received them very quickly. She seems to have lot's of clients (a testament to how great she is) but she was really reliable and it always felt like we were her only clients due to her attention and time spent. I can't say enough about how happy we are to have worked with Caitlin. I highly, highly recommend her.

You cannot go wrong with Caitlin Thomas Photography. Caitlin is extremely professional, helpful, friendly and easy to work with. She had great ideas for pictures and was open to any ideas we had. She even scouted our reception venue beforehand to get ideas, and attended our rehearsal to make sure everything was ok for pictures at the church. We were totally thrilled when we saw our pictures - they are beautiful, artisitc and real - she totally captured us, our families and our wedding day.

We have been telling everyone we know (whether they're getting married soon or not!) how pleased we were with Caitlin Thomas Photography. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend her services, and we will definitly be calling her to work with us again in the future!

Caitlin and her husband were great to work with! She is SO talented and made everything so easy for us on the day of the wedding. Our engagement photos went great and she got them posted for us to see very quickly. For the wedding, I had gone over some specific photos I wanted to get and they made sure we didn’t miss any of them, including all of the family formal shots we requested. It was cold outside for our photos and Caitlin got all of our wedding party shots very quickly so everyone could get back into the limo while my husband and I got some by ourselves. We asked her to give us a little direction so we were able to get some posed shots but she also got so many beautiful candid shots, many of which were little moments that we didn’t see on the big day. She even helped with my dress bustle and had safety pins on hand when we had trouble with it! We are having the hardest time deciding what pictures to enlarge and put in an album because there are so many beautiful options. Caitlin’s photography is a great value for her level of professionalism and talent, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with her!

Caitlin and team were great to work with. We had somewhat of a non-traditional wedding day, and she followed our lead while still making sure to keep us on track. She made us feel comfortable and I didn't worry about anything all day.
