Cafe O'Lei were absolutely amazing!! They catered our wedding at the Olowalu Plantation House. Our appetizers during cocktail hour were fantastic - we had coconut shrimp, mini grilled brie & bacon, chicken and waffles, and veggie samosas. My husband and I had to go get sunset photos during cocktail hour, but one of the servers rushed after us with a beautiful plate with 2 of each appetizer so we could try them all. We felt so taken care of!
Our buffet dinner offered macadamia nut crusted chicken, beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce, and mahi mahi with lilikoi butter. All of it was incredibly delicious!! So many of our guests went for seconds, and so many of them complimented us on the food! They also served special meals to our vegan guests, which they said were fantastic. Their servers were so kind and attentive.
As foodies, hiring Cafe O'Lei was one of the best decisions for our wedding!!

Cafe O Lei provided an exceptional dining experience at our wedding! For cocktail hour appetizers, we got Coconut Shrimp and Chicken Satay. They were winners! All guests loved these choices! For dinner, we
had on three options: the macadamia crusted Mahi mahi, Chicken, and Eggplant. They were beautifully plated and perfectly portioned. Hammered silver flatware was Cafe O Lei’s “standard” but for us, it definitely seemed like an upgraded detail! Their plated service during the ceremony was on point! We had so many compliments of the taste, quality, and presentation. Thank you Cafe O Lei! We can’t wait to go back to see you at Mill House!

We were unable to schedule a formal wedding tasting with Café O Lei prior to our big day, but we were able to enjoy an evening at one of their restaurants on the island during one of our visits leading up to our wedding. Our wedding planner arranged for us to meet with their catering captain and event manager. The food was amazing and they were both able to ease my mind regarding dietary restrictions and allergies. The team easily accommodated having an entirely gluten free evening with passed appetizers and plated dinners. Guests really enjoyed their food, and the staff was professional and very polite.

Café O-Lei did a great job as our caterers for our wedding. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a lot of time to eat and sample everything but from what we did eat and from our guests said, the food was delicious! The staff was very attentive, professional, and welcoming. We see why Lori over at Tropical Maui Weddings always recommends them!

When our coordinator sent us menus to look through we knew we wanted a buffet style wedding. We liked the idea of the food being available for guests to choose between. Cafe O'Lei had an INCREDIBLE buffet menu with so many different options. I have been to many weddings and let me tell you, the food is never something I am awe struck about just because it's never absolutely amazing but when guests raved about our wedding in the days after, the first things out of their mouths were "Oh my gosh the food was AMAZING!" etc. I was SO happy to hear this. I knew it was amazing since I ate it as well but hearing that from guests is a huge plus. You know they ate well and that is a big bonus because you are throwing this party! Cafe O'Lei's set up was beautiful. The servers were so lovely and kind. The appetizers we chose were different and to die for with flavor. The chef made sure we had food packed up to eat when we got home. They were all such lovely people and we so appreciated everything they did for us! We chose the Hawaiian Luau Buffet. It was EXCEPTIONAL. If you are getting married on Maui- choose Cafe O'Lei- they will not disappoint. We didn't even taste test first and had full confidence in them. We chose WELL. “Best food I’ve ever had at a wedding!” We had multiple guests tell us after dinner and even days after our wedding, and we agree! Every plate was delicious. Our guests could not stop raving about the food at our wedding! I could have eaten oy the appetizers and been happy, but when the main entrees came out I was wowed even more! We had the fillet and macadamia crusted mahi mahi and both were out of this world! The food was fantastic and the service was just as fantastic too! Highly recommend!!

Our wedding planner booked with Cafe O'Lei so we didn't look up the restaurant beforehand. Based on the tasty food and super friendly staffs on our wedding day we'd strongly recommend this restaurant, especially if you want to try something local. For appetizers we had garlic crostini, Kalua pork canapé, chicken satay, and crispy calamari. They were really thoughtful in saving us some appetizers while we were away taking pictures so we didn't miss those amazing calamari. We had a Hawaiian style buffet with green salad, somen noodle (a must-try), mani-mahi, chiken, pork, steak, stir-fried vegetables and some of the best sweet potatoes I've ever had (from Molokai). Most of our guests were first-timers to Hawaii and they were very interested in local food after our reception ;)

Thank you so much for the exceptional service and amazing cuisine that was prepared for our wedding in Maui! We had the braised short ribs(huge yummy serving size which was awesome), macadamia nut crusted chicken (yum), and the salmon (yum again). The appetizers (calamari, hummus, chicken satay) were very appetizing and delicious. All in all, outstanding work all around and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect caterer to help celebrate our wedding day!

Great food and great presentation! We had passed appetizers during cocktail hour and a Hawaiian buffet for our small wedding. They did not disappoint! We had a couple of food allergies and they were able to modify the menu to accommodate. And the best part, since we were away taking pictures during cocktail hour, they brought the groom and me a plate of the appetizers we missed. My only regret from the night, was not eating more of the great food!

Cafe O'Lei catered our wedding at Olowalu last month, and they were amazing! My husband and I were fortunate enough to travel to Maui about 7 months before our wedding on a scouting trip. Our planner lined up a tasting with Cafe O'Lei and we were very impressed! We met with Napa who was fabulous throughout the tasting. The shrimp papaya salad is amazing! On the wedding day, we were so busy taking photos and talking to guests that we didn't get much of a chance to have any appetizers, but the catering staff saved some for us and gave us our own little plate with each appetizer so that we could try them all. The entrees were all so yummy, and the portions were huge! Everyone kept commenting on how delicious everything was and how attentive the staff were. We are so happy with their services! A few days after the wedding, we decided that we wanted to eat at their restaurant one last time before heading back home. Our wedding planner ended up coordinating a reservation for us on our last night, which happened to be a busy Saturday night. We arrived and were immediately taken to our own reserved table. We were greeted by Napa, who checked on us a few times throughout the night and really took care of us once again. I couldn't believe how great the staff was throughout the entire process from the tasting, to the wedding day itself, and to the farewell dinner we had on our last night. They really made us feel special and important, which just made our entire wedding experience that much better!

We used Café O’Lei to cater both our rehearsal dinner (Elua Pavilion) and 3/6/16 wedding (Olowalu Plantation House) for 45 guests. We always had PLENTY of food, different menus for each event, and the guests said it was the best food they had on the island/ever! The wait staff is great- VERY attentive to any dietary restrictions, and willing to personalize service to your needs. We had 2 guests with birthdays on our wedding day, so the wait staff hand delivered a special small pie we picked up from Leoda’s with a candle to the noted guest as we sang to them. It was a lovely touch and Café O’Lei was very willing to help. They also boxed up everything I wasn’t able to eat (I slammed down their amazing papaya and avocado salad and was full!) so we could take our left-overs to enjoy when we had a chance to relax and regain some of our hunger. Seriously delicious food that is seriously well priced. Don’t bother with any other catering service! You will be thrilled with the taste and presentation of all of Café O’Lei’s dishes. Our guests are still fondly reminiscing about their wedding food- who does that?! The papaya salad is hands down the best thing I ate while in Hawaii.

We used Cafe O'Lei Catering for our wedding reception with 70 people. The food was so delicious and we received many comments from guests about it blowing other "wedding" food out of the water. We had pulled pork, marinated chicken and mac nut fish as our main dishes with several fresh and beautiful salads and sides. The passed appetizers were fun and filling. Presentation was beautiful and the provided more than enough food for us.

The catering team also provided special platted meals for two guests with dietary restrictions and were thoughtful enough to save the bride & groom a seperate platter of the passed appetizers, just in case we missed out while busy greeting our guests. That was really awesome and unexpected! I want to redo the day just so I can eat more!

Our coordinator recommended this caterer. All of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We both agree, the food was amazing! Highly recommend this caterer.

Amazing food and service. For our wedding last November, we offered the choices of braised shortribs of beef, filet of mahi mahi and macadamia crusted chicken. All were delicious but the beef was the favorite by far. Our appetizers: sliders, edamame samosas, calamari, and coconut shrimp. Everything was fabulous and I am still getting rave reviews about the food. Thank you, Cafe O'Lei!

This was the surprise out of everything I booked for the wedding. We chose Cafe O'Lei Kihei to hold our pre-wedding dinner without tasting any of the food or even seeing the location.
From the point of initial contact via email the whole process went smoothly - Claire who was our email contact person gave us options for all the restaurants under the Cafe O'Lei banner and we chose the one in Kihei because of the laid back atmosphere.
Food was served family style and none of my guests left hungry - more importantly everyone kept raving on about how good the ribs were and the fried banana cheesecake.
The team who served us that night were amazing - they were friendly, on hand when we needed them to be and kept food coming at a regular pace.
My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better way to welcome our guests to our destination wedding.

We had zoo many comments about the food we served at our wedding, people loved it!! The quality was amazing and the presentation was gorgeous!! It didn't look or taste at all like a 'large catered' meal, it looked and tasted like we had just ordered in a restaurant!! As the bride and groom, we missed cocktail and appi hour due to taking pictures, but when we finished with the photos, Cafe O'Lei had a tray of appis they brought over just for us!! Such a nice touch and so perfect since we were so hungry! lol. We also had a few people attending with a few different and very severe food allergies and had absolutely no problems dealing with them. Everyone got exactly what they ordered, (including three guests who showed up to surprise up last minute and literally ordered their meals a few hours before the wedding), and it was all hot and yummy, and looked and tasted amazing, our guests raved about it!! Thanks Cafe O'Lei for making such a huge part of our special day so perfect!!

Marcie with Café O'Lei was awesome. She was personally there to make sure everything was perfect. It was. The appetizers were awesome and entrée's were consistent, creatively plated and DELICIOUS! The energy and attitudes of the servers were awesome; it was such a great event. My only regret is I didn't eat more!!!

The food at our tasting was amazing. Everything was good, but the braised short ribs, chicken lettuce wrap, and sashimi were outstanding. We ended up swapping out the teriyaki beef item in the buffet for the short ribs. Unfortunately, sashimi was out of our budget.

We chose a buffet for our wedding that featured kalua pig, mahimahi, the yummy short ribs, and local greens and starches (moloka'i sweet potatoes). Everyone raved about the food.

Amazing food and service staff for our wedding! Absolutely delicious appetizers and food. We did the buffet style dinner and the chicken/fish/steak were all equally yummy. They were very easy to work with and emailed me with a menu that fit our budget and included all the things we wanted. Our wedding guests included some picky/LA foodies and they all enjoyed the food as well!

My husband and I got married at the Olowalu Plantation House and had Cafe O'lei do the catering. We did not have any issues what so ever. Our food was amazing and the servers were very attentive and extremely friendly.

We had Cafe O'Lei as our caterer for our wedding and we were very impressed. We had lots of variety for food options, and they worked with us to modify the menu to our specific tastes. They were very professional on our wedding day, and always made sure everyone was taken care of and had enough to eat. The food was great! We also had pupus during our cocktail reception, and although I didn't get to try them all, what I did have was deicious and our guests were VERY impressed with the options and quality.

Fantastic food. My wedding planner A perfect paradise wedding booked cafe o'lei. I did not try the food prior to the wedding. I was more the happy with the service and food. My guest are still talking about the food and how great it was. I had the hawaiian buffet and it was wonderful.
