June 22, 2022, my dreams came true. What everyone did not see was all of the hard work and back and forth that took place to make my dream wedding become a reality.
Charlie helped me shape my vision for our wedding from the first time we met, until the last time we met (still crying because I miss talking with her). Let me preface this review by stating that I am NOT an easy person to deal with…type A, control freak, micromanager. Charlie mitigated my personality type and my million requests by helping me prioritize necessities and focus on details of our wedding bit by bit. She graciously guided us and allowed me to express my vision time and time again. She found answers, ideas, and even encouraged some of the over the top, non traditional aspects I wanted on our special day. My husband Javier and I are so grateful to have had such a wonderful experience with being able to take a back seat when it came to dealing with so many vendors, since Charlie knows the right people and has the great connections! Seamless, flawless, breathtaking are the words to describe her work and work ethic. My friends and family are STILL raving about our wedding and the details, all courtesy of By Charlie Ltd.
If you are looking for someone to take your worries away pre wedding, go above and beyond during the wedding, and even become a life long friend post wedding, Charlie is the planner for you. Wish I could give her one million stars! 🥰 -

Charlie joined our wedding team as a day-of coordinator very late in the process, and my fiancée and I were honestly so worried things might fall apart. From the moment she stepped in, she completely took charge — organizing vendors, keeping everyone accountable, helping us with décor decisions, and making sure every little detail was covered. She went way above and beyond her role, and our day ran perfectly because of her. If we could do it all over again, we’d 100% hire Charlie for full-service planning. Still so impressed by her professionalism, calm energy, and genuine care.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Charlie and the team at By Charlie Events! While our original plan was for her to be our wedding design planner, unexpected last-minute changes with our resort’s policies made that impossible (through no fault of her own). Despite that curveball and her incredibly busy schedule, Charlie still showed up for me in the most thoughtful and impactful way.
She created the most beautiful welcome bags for our destination wedding—every detail was stunning and so well thought out. Our guests were absolutely obsessed with them and couldn’t stop raving about how gorgeous and useful they were. The quality, presentation, and care that went into each bag truly set the tone for our celebration.
Charlie’s dedication, professionalism, and heart shine through everything she touches. Even when plans changed, she still found a way to support us and delivered something truly special. I’m beyond grateful and highly recommend By Charlie Events for any event—she will go above and beyond to make your vision come to life!

Our wedding was the day we dreamed of and so much. From the airport shuttles with rum punch, chilled water and motion sickness tablets to the catamaran welcome party through to the end of the wedding where the team personally secured our personal belongings, shoes, veil and even made sure to keep everything we may want as keepsakes. We cannot say more about what this process was to us than amazing. Charlie even when going through her own tough time personally was always so excited to talk to us and kind, sweet, encouraging & enthusiastic about our event. She didn't mention this to us until we asked her about her family and kids one call, my husband has been through her situation before and still says that he cannot believe she delivered how she did so soon after / during this. Whilst there were a couple of deadline delays as a result people forget we are humans.I fight with my large service providers at home every month but people want to demonize a small business for being human. As the owner of a small business myself I was determined to not let our bridezilla/groomzilla side be bigger than our humility- Charlie asked us to trust her and we did and we could not have had a better week. Della was an angel on the day and ensured our guests wanted for nothing even walking my cousins baby around so she could eat her meal properly whilst charlie kept everything running smoothly with the amazing suppliers she found for us and was always checking on us even helping me change my dress and touching up my hair. The decor was incredible, charlie had made a big change to the theme weeks before adding an entirely new idea which she promised me would bring it together as it was missing something and she was right. Everyone said it was like something from a magazine or Pinterest. We had a phone free wedding in honor of my late father who hated cell phones and wanted the photographer to capture it all but when the official pictures come I will add them. Thank you charlie, della and the whole team for the best week ever. Your friends always sophie & troy COME TO CALIFORNIA SOON!! -

A beautiful and unforgettable evening in St. Lucia
By Charlie did the fabulous job planning and executing our event. They transformed the venue into what only can be described as magical. The special touches made the night very special. They are very well-connected to all the vendors and suppliers which allowed us to make changes without it, becoming an issue. I would highly recommend ByCharlie to anyone planning an event in St. Lucia. it is our second time using ByCharlie, first, for our sons destination wedding in St. Lucia and now again for my wife’s 60th birthday. Nothing but spectacular. -

Professional and exceptionally creative making my event truly magical
The entire By Charlie team delivered over and above expectations. Planning my event was made easy because Charlie was a wealth of ideas and Information. During the planning stage she offered up many options to customize my party to suit “me”. Her attention to detail and the teams overall execution from set up to take down made everything easy. We hired Charlie after seeing pictures of her prior work. We are from California but decided on a destination wedding in Saint Lucia. She did an AMAZING job ensuring our special day went smoothly. Communication was great, which I appreciated. My guest loved the catamaran ride that she set up for us the day before the wedding. The decor was beautiful. We're happy we decided to go with her as opposed to sticking with the wedding planner from the resort. She really made my life easier. -

Charlie was professional and organized. We were apart of a rather large wedding group for a 5 day trip to St Lucia. Charlie organized multiple memorable and fun events over the course of our trip to St Lucia. She always made sure we were where we needed to be and that we were always having fun. One to Remember!
Our beautiful wedding was held on the 23rd of July 2022 in Cap Estate, St. Lucia. We’ve literally only arrived back to London a couple of days now and honestly, I haven’t stopped smiling since! We had such an amazing and memorable day. I want to start this review first by saying a big THANK YOU to Charlie and her team. I had so many anxieties and worries when we first started planning after our engagement back in 2020, mainly because of the uncertainties with covid and restrictions for our families and friends which at first was a little stressful, but Charlie really supported us along the way, kept us up to date with protocols, liaised with our hotel/venue to confirm or iron out any issues and thankfully as restrictions started to ease, planning became a lot more smoother. We were on a strict budget having brought our first home before the wedding, but Charlie was still able to capture the elements of what we wanted for our day and not just make it happen… but exceeded expectations by far! Charlie helped us plan a pre-wedding catamaran boat trip beforehand which was such a lovely touch and our families & friends really enjoyed it.
For anyone who is planning on having a destination wedding in St. Lucia and are not able to physically visit back and forth beforehand, I must make it strongly known that having just a “Wedding Co-ordinator” based in your hotel venue is not enough! You strongly need a wedding planner along with your hotel co-ordinator. We were having our wedding venue inside a hotel where our guest was also staying and unfortunately, we really had a few issues trying to get certain things sorted. I am so thankful that we had Charlie, who was able to visit and meet the co-ordinator on a regular basis to sort and fix the issues for us while we were in London. You also get a lot more options to what you can have or add to your wedding where Charlie can advise just to make the day that little more special. Charlie was so honest and trustworthy when breaking down finances, cost, and options to help us stick to our budget. I know for a fact that if we didn’t have Charlie, the preparation would have been highly stressful, and of course the stress of a wedding is already enough in itself.
Thank you Charlie for helping us have such a beautiful memorable day. You are truly amazing at what you do, and I would recommend Charlie to anyone wishing to have a destination wedding in St. Lucia. -

Where to even begin writing this review?! Planning a destination wedding I knew I wanted to hire a local coordinator (especially since I had never been to St Lucia before) and I found the perfect match in Charlie. She somehow magically put together our absolute dream week (she also helped us coordinate a welcome bon fire + catamaran day prior to our wedding day), making it look like the easiest thing in the world. With COVID rules changing by the week and our guest count fluctuating all over the place she took it all in stride and never let us loose faith that it would all work out. Her team of vendors that she works with are 10/10, and we were thrilled with everyone from hair + makeup to the bar staff. It felt like having a bunch of new friends at our wedding vs. people working at our wedding which was amazing. Charlie went above and beyond, even dropping off extra high chairs/pack and plays etc for my niece so we didn’t have to travel from the west coast with them. She also leaned into our style completely and let us dictate how the day went (we ditched a lot of traditional things like garter toss/cake cutting etc.) to make the day feel like our own. I could keep going on and on, but the summary here is that we had the absolute best time ever on St Lucia and I was able to relax and enjoy it all vs. stress about planning, all thanks to her and her amazing assistant Dela. We are forever grateful! -

If I could give Charlie one million stars, I would. Hiring Charlie was the best decision I ever made (followed by marrying my husband ;D)
As many of you reading this likely feel the same, planning a wedding is stressful without COVID and then you add in COVID to a destination wedding it's a cluster F@*$. To add to that, when I say every possible roadblock from the universe that could have come up did, it's an understatement...but we had Charlie and she saved the day everyday.
She understood our vision, remained cool, calm and collected and was constantly problem solving for us. She helped us plan a 3 day event (inclusive of a welcome party, rehearsal, main event wedding) and it was magical for both us and our 51 guests.
We had several guests tell us that this was the best wedding they've ever attended and that truly would not have been possible without Charlie. She's our fairy god mother and now friend.
If you're on the fence of working with her, don't. Just do it. It's 10000000% worth it.

We hired Charlie 6 weeks before our big day. at the time we were upset and terrified. 60 guests had paid to come to the Caribbean and we had little in the way of anything from the planner we had been assigned from the resort. We decided to go for it and tale the plunge by hiring an outside planner for additional cost- but it was worth every cent and more. Within 3 days of us signing the contract and paying a deposit we had a full design, consultation call and the reassurance we desperately needed. Charlie told us what to focus on and took over on everything else allowing us to focus on packing,final fittings and most of all getting excited for the big day ahead. We got on the airplane in a mood we didn't think was possible 6 weeks before and the whole trip was a dream come true. She used the budget we gave her to create the day we wanted and more. She became our voice to the resort staff meaning we no longer had to liaise with the previous team who had caused us so much stress. We had a day to remember for all the reasons we wanted it to be remembered and guests are still on a high months later wishing they could go back again. My great gatsby wedding reception was more than I could have imagined- all because of charlie and the team. I pictured some features and sequins but charlie nearly had my on the floor when I walked in. The napkins were folded as tuxedos with small bow tie props, the dancefloor had the great gatsby mansion projected behind it, there were moving 1920s projections on the beautifully draped walls and mini chandeliers all around. Words still escape me. I will never forget the most amazing wedding all thanks to by charlie. -

Once Georges and I got engaged in January of 2018, we knew that we wanted to have a destination wedding. We decided to have our wedding at the Royalton Resort on the island. Our vision was to bring our New York Wedding to the island and Charlie made that happen for us. I found Charlie while browsing on instagram and contacted her immediately. We had a phone consultation shortly after and discussed the vision that Georges and I had for our wedding. Shortly after Charlie sent us a 3D Wedding Design, which really helped us to see our vision put to life.
The day of the wedding, Charlie was amazing and managed to keep both Georges and I stress free. Our ceremony & reception set up was gorgeous and better than what we could have ever imagined. We couldn’t have made a better choice when we decided to hire Charlie. -

Our wedding was an absolute fairytale because of the hard work and dedication of Charlie. Marc and I were nervous about the planning of our wedding because we both come from big families and inevitably would have a big wedding but the entire process felt flawless because of her.
When I first met with Charlie we spoke about Marc’s and my vision for the big day, all the dos and don’ts and all the must haves and to the last day of planning she remembered every single one. During the entire planning process Charlie was my right hand, friend, advisor and counselor. She was there at any given time of day/night that I needed a question answered, had another bright idea for her to execute or just wanted an update on how things were going. She helped me come up with ways to make my wedding even more memorable, unique and cut down on costs and still have everything I wanted. I got to be as involved as I wanted in some aspects of the wedding and distance myself where I preferred her to make the executive decisions.
On the day of my wedding I felt nothing but excitement. I did not have a single worry as the process showed me just how capable Charlie was. I got ready with those closest to me, we laughed, drank, ate and counted down till the moment I got to say “I do”. During that time Charlie was checking on me, making sure food was delivered to our room, our flowers stayed in water, pre wedding gifts from my now husband were delivered all the while ensuring all our vendors stayed in check. Anything that went wrong was solved by the time we even found out. Charlie was truly a miracle worker.
I could go on and on about how happy we were with our wedding but we would be here all day. Thank you Charlie for everything you did to make the biggest day of our lives a fairytale. Thank you for being my wedding fairy god mother.

I hired Charlie halfway through our wedding planning process, as I realized I'd need additional help on sourcing and managing vendors and decorating our venue. Charlie is an absolute pro and had so many great suggestions and ideas that we never would have thought of. She pulled off the most beautiful wedding for us and we are so grateful to have had her support and help. She was even able to help us organize things outside of the wedding, like booking a boat cruise for our guests, and transportation.
Keep in mind that Charlie is a one-woman show, and she has many events that she's working on. She may not always be available or super responsive, but she will always get back to you and have updates and progress to share. She really understood our vision for our wedding and honestly, it truly was the happiest day of my life. -

Charlie gave us a personalized wedding in St. Lucia. She was very helpful with last-minute changes and requests we had also. With a small sized wedding (~40 guests), it could have been planned only a couple of months ahead of the date, but I wanted to start planning about 1 year ahead and she accommodated. The only thing that could have improved was communication and setting expectations/timelines. I would have to reach out and ask for updates after she said she had to get back to me on details. She would respond with details and answer all of my questions though. Overall, it came together at the end beautifully, and we had a fantastic time! -

i reached out to charlie to plan my engagement 4 months before the date. she sent a high-level breakdown of costs associated with what we had discussed on during our initial consult, then informed me that i would need to pay a deposit to lock in the date which again, was 4 months later. after she confirmed receipt of funds, she did absolutely nothing. i sent her several follow-up emails and called her numerous times, but she never delivered what she promised. she would sporadically send emails explaining how busy she was and that she was working on my details, but those details never came. thankfully, i was able to figure things out on my own and my fiancée and i are now happily engaged, but no thanks to charlie. would not recommend. -
