We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Butternut on 10/11/25. From our first tour with Hope, we knew this was our venue! Hope and Toni were so thoughtful and patient with all of our questions. The entire process was so easy and smooth! The inclusive vendors were amazing! They were a well oiled machine that made the day so seamless and stress free! A special bonus is the amazing scenery at Butternut. The foliage and grounds were everything we hoped for and more! Butternut is the perfect venue for an intimate, memorable, New England wedding! -

Butternut Farm Golf Club was an absolutely gorgeous venue, with exceptional service, delicious food, reasonable pricing, and a beautiful setting. Kerri was incredible throughout the whole process, seamlessly making sure the whole day went perfectly— she even made sure I got a safety pin when my dress strap broke! Everyone from Hope, the business manager, to the waitstaff and the other vendors in the package (highly recommend the package with the photography and baker!) was extremely professional. The guests were raving about the food, and the large dance floor and huge ballroom (not to mention the reasonable pricing) made my 150 guests feel comfortable and excited. Bonus points for the balcony, where the non-dancers enjoyed great conversations overlooking the golf course pond. And what a gorgeous area in apple orchard country!! Could not have had a more perfect day. Thank you so much to everyone at Butternut for making our reception an absolute blast!!! -

We got married in September 2025 and loved our wedding day at Butternut Farm! They have the perfect reception space and a beautiful landscape for an outdoor ceremony. We loved driving out on golf carts to take photos on the golf course - the course is so picturesque, with a cute covered bridge and a big weeping willow tree. We also liked that in case of rain, there is an option to have your ceremony on the porch so you can still be outdoors with a great view. The food was delicious, and the servers were phenomenal! We found our photographer, DJ, and officiant on a list of recommendations from Butternut and were thrilled with all of them. Highly recommend Butternut Farm! -

We recently celebrated our wedding at Butternut and we couldn't be more grateful for the incredible experience. From the very first visit, we were impressed by the beauty of the space, the professionalism of the staff, and the fact that everything we would need was right at our finger tips!
The team at Butternut went above and beyond to make our day perfect. They were responsive, organized, and genuinely cared about making our vision come to life. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—our guests are still talking about how perfect the set up was and how much fun they had.

Butternut Farm Golf Club Wedding Venue 08.02.25
We could not have asked for a more beautiful or seamless wedding day than the one we had at Butternut Farm Golf Club. From the moment we first visited the venue, we were blown away by the stunning setting—the covered bridge, peaceful pond, and the picturesque golf course created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and photos.
The Heritage Room is elegant, spacious, and filled with natural light. It flowed perfectly with the cocktail lounge and outdoor terrace, which our guests absolutely loved. The views during sunset were especially magical.
What truly set Butternut apart was the staff. Our coordinators Hope and Thalita were incredibly responsive and attentive throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly—we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
We chose the vendor-inclusive package, which simplified everything and connected us with fantastic vendors (DJ, florist, & cake) who were all familiar with the venue. The food was another highlight—delicious, beautifully presented, and well-accommodated for dietary needs.
If you're looking for a venue that offers gorgeous views, a warm and experienced team, and an organized planning experience, we highly recommend Butternut Farm Golf Club. It’s worth every penny and gave us a day we’ll never forget!

Our wedding on 6/28/2025 was more than perfect. We initially toured the venue with Hope. She was kind, thoughtful, and answered all our questions. We loved the inclusive vendors which made planning easy. As our wedding approached we worked with our coordinator Kerri. Kerri was fantastic and detailed oriented. We had multiple meetings before the wedding to go over details and any questions we had. Kerri worked with band and uplighting company to coordinate the timeline and organize things for the day of. On our wedding day Kerri and all the staff were wonderful. They were accommodating with food allergies and guests with mobility challenges. The morning of it rained, but the weather cleared up just in time for the ceremony. The covered outdoor area under the octagon room would’ve been a great back up plan. Our guests loved the food during cocktail hour and dinner. Dinner service was seamless and efficient. Everything was timely and well done. We went with the inclusive florist, Mugfords, and the florals were gorgeous. We met with the owner Chris to go over our colors and preferences. The inclusive cake artist, Cakes by Paula made a delicious and beautiful cake as well. At the end of the night, Kerri and the staff made clean up a breeze. We couldn’t have picked a better place with such caring staff and lovely views for our wedding. -

We had our wedding reception at Butternut Farm on 5/3/25 and it was everything I could have ever hoped for. The food was absolutely phenomenal and the staff did an amazing job accommodating multiple food allergies.
Hope and Thalita were so friendly and easy to work with and made the process so stress free. They were always available for questions and I always felt that I didn't have to worry. From start to finish, I felt I could trust them with making my day perfect, and they most certainly delivered!
The location was gorgeous both inside and out. All of our guests had such a wonderful time. It was the most perfect New England Wedding! Thank you so much Butternut Farm!! -

We had our daughter's wedding on May 3rd, 2025 at Butternut and it was SPECTACULAR! I cannot say enough about the entire staff. We didn't have to ask for anything it was all done for us. Appetizers and food were AMAZING! The venue and the outside grounds were absolutely gorgeous! I'm still in awe of everything! It was one of the best weddings and guests are still telling us how great it was. I am so grateful for all Butternut did for us. Would love to go back someday as a guest at a wedding.

Perfect wedding venue!
I had my ceremony and reception at Butternut Farm Golf Club, and it was beautiful! Hope and Toni were great to work with. They were super responsive if I had any questions. The food was delicious! The room that the reception is held in is nice and big with a large dance floor. There is also a large bar and a beautiful room for cocktail hour! The day of, Toni was amazing. She kept me calm and kept things running smoothly! She also took pictures that she sent me after the wedding which was great since we didn’t get the professional photos back for a few weeks. There is a super cute wagon in the front that was decorated for the season. My wedding there was perfect!! I would 100% recommend Butternut as a venue! -

They made out the planning of our wedding easy and the reception was seamless especially when it poured rain our day! The inclusive package made it easy to find vendors and were incredible.

We had an absolutely wonderful wedding at Butternut this past year!
We originally chose butternut for a couple of reasons:
1. The all inclusive vendor options. We both knew that despite planning our wedding several years in advance we would have limited time to research and coordinate several different vendors, especially as the date got closer. With Butternut, it's one stop for everything we needed! It was so easy to be able to have everything ready to go!
2. The venue is beautiful! We recently got our photos back from the photographer and everyone keeps commenting on the "gorgeous foliage" and "beautiful" view of the ceremony space.
Now that we have had the wedding, I can say we had a great experience for another several reasons:
1. Our day-of coordinator was fantastic! Responsive to all our needs and requests and great attention to detail. She was great to work with and fun to have directing us on the wedding day!
2. The recommended vendors were fantastic! We loved our DJ, the cake was beautiful and the flowers we had were exactly what we hoped for.
3. It was an overall perfect day! Everything we had hoped for and more, we are so happy we chose Butternut! -

Butternut Farm Golf Club made our wedding dreams come true! It was such a comfort knowing that our selected inclusive vendors were booked for us when we reserved our date with Butternut. Those vendors were familiar with the Butternut wedding process and it made planning a breeze. We also found our photographer, Tara Sullivan, through Butternut’s recommended vendor list. She was amazing and also familiar with the venue! When looking for potential reception venues, we were looking for beautiful landscapes and greenery without it feeling too golfy or like we were on the green the whole time. Although Butternut is mainly a golf club, the scenery was beautiful and it was easy to find places to take pictures that didn’t look like we were in the middle of a golf game. We loved the fountain, the willow tree, and the covered bridge for photo-taking. Our reception flowed very smoothly and our guests had an amazing time. The space felt intimate but there was plenty of room for all of our guests to roam around inside and on the balcony. Thalita was so helpful on the day-before setup, during the reception, and breaking down at the end of the night. We would definitely recommend Butternut Farm to other couples for their wedding! -

We got married at BFGC on 8/12/23, and it was truly the best day ever! For starters, the all inclusive vendors made our life so much easier (we used C Zone entertainment and Diane Rockwell “The Cake Lady”), and they were excellent. We used Tara Sullivan as our wedding photographer off a recommended list- HIRE HER!!!!! Thalita was our day-of (and weeks leading up to it) coordinator, and she was wonderful! She was so accommodating, professional, and genuinely wanted us to have the best day ever. She was timely in response to questions and made me feel reassured throughout the stresses of wedding planning. She was always available by email. She helped to guide us on the day of, managed our time efficiently, and set up our venue with all of our decor that truly brought our wedding visions to life! The venue is gorgeous, the food was phenomenal, and the environment was picturesque! Such a great value for what you pay for! My husband also received a 4 player pass to golf at their lovely course. We loved our wedding venue & would highly recommend visiting!! -

Getting married at BFGC was the best decision to make when it came to wedding planning! This was the first place out of about 8 places my now husband and I toured and after each tour, we kept going back to Butternut. The all-inclusive package with the beautiful venue and wonderful team made it an absolute no-brainer. We used their 3 main vendors as part of their flexible package and all of them made the planning process so smooth. They even accommodated several adjustments that came up along the way. The day of Geraldina who was our DOC was a rockstar- she made sure everything could run as smoothly as possible and we appreciate her and Hope so much for that -

Can’t thank Butternut Farms Golf Club for hosting our wedding. Would like to give a special shout out Thalita and Hope who truly made our day special and one we will never forget. From the moment we met Hope, toured the venue, and learned about their all inclusive package we were sold. Having the majority of our vendors made planing for the big day pretty much stress fee. When it finally came to the big day Thalita our wedding day coordinator was amazing, she was on top of everything, and made sure the timing, pace and flow of the day went accordingly. Which allowed us as the bride and groom to take it all in at times and truly enjoy the day. Can’t thank the enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Highly recommend using Butternut as your wedding venue. -

The perfect place for a perfect day!
I cannot say enough good things about Hope & Thalita at Butternut Farm. All of the vendors in their inclusive package were fantastic to work with and made the process so easy as a busy student living out of state! They were extremely transparent and easy to work with throughout the process and always answered my (many!) emails in a timely and helpful fashion. The weather ended up being not so great on our special day, but Thalita and her team went absolutely above and beyond to make our day perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend them to other couples and already have to my engaged friends! -

We had such an incredible experience working with Butternut Farm Golf Club, from the first time we saw the venue to leaving at the end of our wedding day. Butternut was the first venue we saw when we started looking, and each place that we looked at after did not compare. The inclusive vendor package made the planning process seamless and enjoyable. Not only were the vendors easy to work with through the package, they were all incredible and exceeded all of our expectations. Butternut was incredibly accommodating of our requests and were able to work with us to ensure all of our needs were met, including allowing our dog to come to the venue and be in a couple of pictures with us. After the wedding every guest we spoke to were very impressed with the outstanding service and the food that was served. We could not have picked a better venue or team to work with to celebrate our wedding! -

It took months to find a place as special as Butternut. There are so many great choices for your wedding venue in eastern Massachusetts. We looked as far north as Gloucester and all the way down to Plymouth.
Butternut had a lot of strengths over the other venues we visited. In no particular order we rated them highly on the following:
1) Reception and Ceremony are conveniently close for your guest. The Outdoor
farmer porch cover and Indoor backup options are genius and beautiful. All handicap accessible with elevator access to reception upstairs.
2) Immaculate grounds for photographs. In Spring/Summer or Fall they have wonderful floral arrangements.
3) Ease of access for guest traveling to wedding. They are conveniently not sharing any parking with other businesses. Guest will have plenty of parking available ,which was a huge plus over places we looked at closer to Boston. We had no issues setting up a shuttle service to our hotel at Embassy Suites. It's a relief when you don't have to worry about guest hitting traffic!
4) Vendor's partner relationships - Over time Butternut has developed a well vetted vendor list and we loved each one. They all work together on delivering a most memorable experience for you and your loved ones.

5) Guest will enjoy all the food selections. Their kitchen is fully dedicated to your event and not splitting time between a restaurant like so many other venues. Friends and family whom attended weddings at Butternut had mentioned their food was excellent and we wholeheartedly agree!
6) Butternut's staff and their wedding planners (Colleen!) are pros. They are constantly reaching out and will keep you in the loop on all the key decisions during the planning process. One thing that stood out was how thoughtful the staff at Butternut was in 2020 when we ultimately moved our wedding date. They invited us up on our original date and surprised us with a cake and bouquet as a thank you.

Great all inclusive Venue!
Giving Butternut 5 stars was easy… they hosted our wedding this last weekend, and we had the time of our lives. I received phone calls and comments that the food was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and the most smoothest run wedding they’ve been to. Just perfect!
It’s been a long journey… COVID cancelled plans the first time around. We waited right up to the wire before changing the date and BNF was great to work with, super helpful, took suggestions, was always willing to listen, help, and do what it takes to make it happen. They stuck it out and was 100% fully committed. Colleen and Hope were great to work with, and we were so lucky to also get Erin on our wedding day to help out! -

This venue was everything we expected and more! We actually ended up getting married a year earlier than we had planned to because of their all-inclusive package. This package included so many things: cake, flowers, DJ, food, beverages and more! I instantly felt less stressed after meeting with Hope and learning about this package. Hope, Erin and Linn were all awesome to work with and were very responsive. The venue itself is gorgeous! We knew we wanted to get married on a golf course, BFGC was our third and final venue tour. Choosing Butternut Farm as our wedding venue was easily one of the best decisions we ever made. From the very beginning, Hope and Erin made us feel at ease and confident that our day would be all that we imagined. Upon our initial meeting, unlike other potential wedding venues, they never put pressure on us or made us feel like an afterthought. You could immediately tell they were a close knit family-run business that would treat us as one of their own. Their caring, genuine demeanors and passion for both their work and the brides and grooms they work with was a huge reason our day turned out so successfully.
From the beginning, Hope was extremely helpful and quick to respond to our many questions during the planning process. Erin ran the entire wedding day and night professionally and worked so well with all of our vendors. We never once had to worry about any detail whatsoever, and if there were any issues at all we gladly did not know about them.
We were instantly sold on the venue's ideal location and gorgeous scenery and decor. It had a very intimate feel, while still providing ample room for our guests to mingle, eat, and dance the night away. Our guests could not stop raving about the beauty, decor, and cozy feel of the property, as well as the outstanding food and highly attentive wait staff.
We were so well taken care of and we truly felt special due to the many months of dedication and hard work of Hope, Erin, and the entire Butternut Farm staff. We would recommend Butternut in a heartbeat, and are so fortunate that they left such a lasting imprint on our lives. -

Christian and I can't thank you, Hope, and the staff enough for everything. When we first saw Butternut, Hope was so warm and welcoming, and answered all of our questions. Looking at the photos beforehand, I fell in love with Butternut, but after walking around and talking with Hope we knew very quickly that this is where we wanted to get married. You both have made everything so easy for us, with emails and meetings that we have had, I was sure everything was going to be perfect with the help of you two- and it was!
Since we first met you Erin, you have been on top of everything. You made our wedding day so perfect, everything was exactly how we wanted it! We were able to be worry free and enjoy the day and have so much fun.
We keep hearing from our guests that it is the best wedding they have been to :) Everyone loved the venue and the food, and the staff was great!!!

From our first meeting with Hope, we knew that Butternut Farms Golf Course was the venue for us. The packages that they offered were exactly what we needed and enabled us to pull off the wedding of our dreams without going over budget. The vendors included with the packages were of the highest quality, and the peace of mind that comes from having settled the vendor question so early in the process was very comforting.
However, it was the people at Butternut that really sold us on this venue. Hope made us feel right at home from our first interaction. She was incredibly responsive with questions, keeping on top of small details, and made the whole process enjoyable. Lynn was a wonderful coordinator, and I don’t think we could have been so successful with our reception if not for her help and support. She and Erin made sure that the ceremony was on-time, worked with our photographer to get all the pictures we wanted (including the covered bridge shot we really wanted), and orchestrated the reception so well that we even had time to eat our full meals! Both Lynn and Erin were always present, but they were never obtrusive. I don’t know how we would have made our special day without their help.
If you are getting married, there is no better place than Butternut Farms. I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to tell any friends or relatives currently engaged or planning on doing so in the future that they cannot go wrong with Butternut. They make everything connected to the venue simple, easy, and affordable, so you can enjoy your big day!

I first came across Butternut Farm while scrolling through what felt like hundreds of wedding venues. This was one of the first places that got me to stop scrolling and actually look into their options. The grounds are perfect. There's a wooded and secluded feel to it. There's a pond and a covered bridge. So many amazing and diverse picture opportunities! Hope and Erin are so awesome to work with, they are quick to email/call back with answers to any question you can think of. They are true professionals! If anything went wrong on my wedding day, I didn't know about it and I definitely didn't notice! They took a lot of the stress away and helped make this the best day of our lives. The food was delicious, the ballroom and cocktail area are spacious and gorgeous and filled with light. Trust me, you will not regret hosting your wedding here! -

Where do I even begin with this review? Butternut Farm will always have a special place in our hearts. We toured about four different venues for our wedding. When we stepped into Butternut we knew it was our venue. Hope is so friendly and does an amazing job helping you to imagine what your wedding will look like on their beautiful grounds. She was easy to talk to and always quick to respond to my emails. When my mom got really sick about a year before our wedding, Hope took time to take us on another tour so my mom would get a chance to see our venue. Butternut was set up for a wedding the day we toured and it was absolutely gorgeous. The ballroom is spacious and has PLENTY of room for dancing. The octagonal room is so unique and the perfect spot for cocktail hour (It was also the spot that our photographer was able to take one of our favorite pictures-- with every single person that was a part of our wedding). There is also a porch that overlooks the beautiful grounds. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and Butternut delivers with a gorgeous backdrop. Weather is one of the things you can't control in your wedding planning process. BUT don't fear. Butternut's backup plans work just as well. In fact-- it was one of the biggest reasons we picked it. When the wedding planning process gets really real, Hope passes you off to Erin -- who is equally amazing. Together you plan your detailing meeting and you see your vision coming to life. Fast forward to the day of. Erin is right there helping everything to go off with out a hitch. I did not have ANY worries. Our guests raved about the food, it is some of the BEST wedding food you will ever have. We made sure we took our time to enjoy it as well. Our family and friends continue to tell us it was one of the best weddings they have been to, and we have the entire STAFF at Butternut Farm to thank for that.

We can't say enough about Butternut Farm Golf Club, and how incredible they are! Working with Hope and Erin was one of the best experiences we have ever had; they are both attentive, warm, welcoming, and so easy to work with. We knew from the moment we stepped into the venue that it was the place for us. From start to finish, it was a flawless process and the staff truly made our wedding even better than we could've imagined. We will forever be grateful! -

Courtney Sent on 08/21/2018Hope and Erin are a wonderful team and made it so easy to plan our wedding. Hope gives you a wonderful introduction to Butternut Farms which is truly a beautiful site! We loved that our guests could watch our bridal photos being taken as they had hors’ deurves in the octagon room. We especially loved that the place had lots of natural light! So many venues seemed to lack that when we were looking around. After touring with Hope once, we knew this was the place for our reception. Our event would be the only one of the day (so important to us!) and the venue itself is nestled in the woods with a beautiful pond and just felt so peaceful! The day of our wedding, Erin helped us so much in organizing our large wedding party of 18. And she did so much behind the scenes to work with our photographer, DJ, and several friends who helped organize our decor and flowers. She provided us with a helpful timeline and really helped us get through tricky tasks like seating arrangements. They are truly a wonderful team that I would recommend to all!

Ashley Sent on 08/16/2018We got married in May at Butternut Farm and everything from start to finish was just fantastic. The whole planning process was great and stress free Hope and Erin were so on top of it, it made me so much more relaxed knowing that everything regarding the venue and coordination with vendors was taken care of. We had our ceremony offsite so when our guests arrived earlier than the cocktail our they were taken to the bar area where they could get some drinks. Erin was waiting for us and kept track of the time so we would stay on our very detailed timeline. Everything went great, everyone loved the food and drinks it was fantastic. Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was and well taken care of. We are so glad we found Butternut farm and so greatful to Erin and Hope for putting together the perfect day, we did not want it to end! I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone. Also our pictures came out fantastic and it was raining that day

Genevieve Sent on 03/21/2018I am SO happy my sister in law recommended Butternut Farm to us as a venue. We fell in love with Butternut during our first visit. The grounds and building are obviously beautiful, but the staff is what makes Butternut a step above the rest. Hope was fantastic and Denise was simply a rock star on my wedding day. She made sure that all of my wedding day requests were taken care of and every detail was perfect. She was always available via email or cell during the time leading up to our wedding to answer questions and help with the planning. Incredibly organized and thorough. One of my favorites memories from our wedding was after our church ceremony when Denise brought us upstairs to see the room before the guests came up. I broke down in tears seeing how she had totally captured my vision and everything looked even BETTER than I could have ever imagined. I already had complete confidence and peace of mind going into my wedding day because everyone at Butternut was just so professional and helpful throughout the entire planning process, and you could tell they were "invested" in their couples as people. The entire staff was friendly and efficient, too. Their recommended vendors did not disappoint either. My guests are still raving about the whole wedding experience at Butternut. If you decide to have your wedding at Butternut, you will not be disappointed. Couldn't have asked for more!! I will be forever grateful for our amazing wedding memories.

Kim Sent on 11/10/2017Definitely reach out to Butternut for consideration for your wedding or event! Hope and Erin were absolutely fantastic. I have a bunch of food allergies and they handled them extremely well. The kitchen even made special 'adapted' appetizers that Erin herself brought to me while we were taking our pictures. Everything went so smoothly from the start of planning all the way to the end of the reception, even with us deciding to move the ceremony under the patio due to the remnants of Harvey coming through. Everything was beautiful and we couldn't have been happier with how everything was arranged. Thank you Hope and Erin!
