Our wedding at Burlington was absolutely magical, and a huge part of that was thanks to the venue itself. From the very beginning, we were drawn to its beautiful blank slate and timeless elegance of the property. It gave us the freedom to truly customize our wedding and bring our vision to life.
One of the biggest advantages of Burlington was their flexibility with access to the venue since we were guaranteed to be the only wedding for the entire weekend, a rare find! We were able to spend a considerable amount of time at the venue 1-2 days leading up to the wedding, which was invaluable for the long set-up process, especially since we opted to DIY a lot of decorations. This relieved so much stress and allowed us to really personalize every detail, while also being able to sit back and truly enjoy the entire day of our wedding.
The venue also had an impressive inventory of items available for use. The variety of tables, rolling bars, and other rentable items made planning so much easier. They really thought of everything!
What truly set Burlington apart were some of their unique offerings that we didn't find at other venues. The outdoor heaters were a lifesaver for our evening dessert hour, keeping our guests comfortable even as the temperature dropped. The cornhole boards added a fun and casual element to our cocktail hour that everyone enjoyed. The fully operational vintage concessions trailer was a HUGE hit for late-night ice cream service – such a unique and memorable touch! And the groomsmen suite? Absolutely fantastic! It was so important that the groom and his party also had a dedicated space to relax and get ready.
Perhaps the most amazing feature of all was the bridal cottage. Having the ability to add on an overnight stay was a game-changer! Being able to get ready on-site bright and early took so much stress out of the morning, allowing us to maximize the entire wedding day. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and had plenty of space, comfortably sleeping six. The three makeup/hair chairs were perfect for our group, ensuring everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable getting-ready experience.
We also have to give a shout-out to Madison, who was an absolute dream to work with. She was always incredibly quick to respond to our emails and provided invaluable insight during our on-site planning meeting. Her expertise and helpfulness made the entire planning process so much smoother.
If you're looking for a beautiful, flexible venue that allows you to truly make your wedding your own, then look no further than Burlington. We can't recommend it highly enough! -

We truly loved our experience with Burlington Weddings & Events and could not have chosen a more beautiful place for our wedding day! From the beginning, communication was always friendly, timely, and helpful, which made planning feel so much less stressful.
The venue is absolutely STUNNING and provides so many wonderful spaces for you and your guests to enjoy and create beautiful memories. The grounds and event spaces are so well maintained, and our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was. The getting ready spaces for both the bridal party and groomsmen were perfect for pre-ceremony gathering, which made the day feel even more special and comfortable.
Chloe, our venue coordinator, was wonderful to work with both leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself. She was organized, responsive, and made everything feel easy and seamless. The day-of staff was incredibly kind, and the golf cart service was such a thoughtful touch, not only for older guests who needed assistance, but also for us as a couple to get where we needed to be quickly and smoothly throughout the day!
We were so impressed by the quality, experience, and value this venue provided, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, versatile, and welcoming wedding venue. -

So professional, incredibly attentive and made sure every detail was handled with care all while making it fun! Their quick response time put us at ease throughout the planning process, and the affordability made it even better. Burlington was the perfect wedding venue. It’s absolutely beautiful, and there are so many different spaces to make the day feel personal and unique from start to finish. Every part of it felt special.
And Madison—the venue coordinator (day of but gets in contact with you two months prior)—is truly a gem. She went above and beyond for us and handled everything with such calm and care. I seriously don’t know how she does it all, but I’m so glad she was by our side.
We had 200 guests (a very fun and very thirsty crowd), and she somehow managed to keep everything running smoothly. I’ll never forget it. Can’t recommend Burlington (and Madison!) enough!
If you’re thinking about getting married at Burlington, do it, and beg for Madison!! -

Perfect Venue for the Big Day!
We got married at Burlington Weddings & Events on August 10, 2024. It was truly the most perfect day. It was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Burlington was a perfect venue and the staff was wonderful to work with. Madison was our coordinator and she did a fabulous job. She was so organized from day one to the big day. She was easy to get in touch with and answered every question we had. She organized all of the details with our vendors and everything went so smoothly on the big day. The venue was absolutely stunning. Our ceremony was perfect outside in front of the arbor and our reception was beautiful inside of the ballroom. Also - the bridal cottage is perfect for the morning of the big day. All of the girls got their hair & makeup done inside the cottage and it was perfect. The guys enjoyed their time in the groom’s den. We cannot recommend Burlington enough! We would do it all over again the exact same way! -

Exceptional
My husband and I got married at Burlington in September of 2024 and I cannot say enough great things about the venue itself and Madison, the venue coordinator. The venue is stunning, elegant and so unique. We looked into many venues in the Hampton Roads area, but Burlington stood out among all of the others because of its character and beauty - it wasn’t just another hotel ballroom. It was high 70s and sunny on our wedding day and the landscape and gardens really were shining. Our guests raved about how beautiful the grounds were.
The bridal party spent the night and got ready in the bridal cottage and it was such a nice touch to the day. The glam room was so fun and picturesque to get ready in.
Madison, the venue coordinator, was also exceptional to work with. She was timely with responses and always helpful and knowledgeable when we had questions. On the day of the wedding, she made sure everything went off without a hitch. She and the Burlington team were super accommodating when it came to dropping stuff off, etc. -

Our wedding day at Burlington Weddings was truly magical! From start to finish, everything fell perfectly into place, making it the most wonderful day of our lives. Madison was no doubt a key part of making our day so special. She took the time to understand our vision and executed it flawlessly, ensuring every detail was just as we imagined.
The staff's responsiveness and readiness to address any issues or questions that arose were impressive. They were always on hand to assist and provide guidance, which brought us a great sense of comfort throughout the planning process. Additionally, their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel truly valued as clients. We toured 8-10 other local venues and there is no doubt that we made the right choice.
The Bridal Suite was pricey BUT made the night before the wedding very special for the girls to gather, fellowship and plan for the BIG DAY.
In conclusion, we can't thank Burlington Weddings and specifically Madison, enough for her dedication and hard work in making our wedding day a dream come true. The entire team's commitment to excellence and ability to bring our vision to life surpassed all our expectations. Thank you, Burlington Weddings, for being a part of our special day! -

A dream of a venue
I don't even know where to start! We got married at Burlington on 12/16/2023, and it was nothing short of a DREAM. The staff (specifically our girl Madison) was more than helpful and so communicative throughout the entire process...from booking to wedding day! Burlington is truly a magical venue, the open layout made our guests comfortable, and the spacious bridal suite made all 10 of my bridesmaids, plus hair & makeup plus parents feel cozy! My husband enjoyed the groom's suite and the full amenities it has! I could go on and on about how amazing of a venue this is, and I cannot recommend marrying your best friend here enough!! -

Greatest Wedding Venue There Is
From preparations to wedding day Burlington Wedding and Events was on point! The perfect venue with great amenities throughout. My name is Joshua Lucenti and my wonderful wife's name is Madison Lucenti. We got married at Burlington on November 5th, 2022. Great time for a wedding, the weather was perfect and the leaves were changing colors so it left us with wonderful pictures throughout the venue. When we were looking for wedding venues none of them stood out as much as Burlington Wedding and Events did. There was always something missing at other venues but Burlington had it all! The amount of history in the venue, how well kept up and clean the entire place was made it even more of a no-brainer for us to choose Burlington Wedding and Events as our venue for the wedding. Even the staff were accommodating and flexible to work with whatever wedding day issues we had. The coordinators were very good at keeping us on schedule throughout the night and making it a smooth evening for the wedding. -

Stunning venue!
Burlington Weddings and Events is an absolutely stunning venue! My husband and I had our dream wedding here back in October 2021 and we could not have picked a more perfect venue. Our day of coordinator was amazing! She was very kind and patient with me as I had a lot of questions. The on site bridal cottage was so cute and my bridesmaids and I really enjoyed being able to wake up and not have to travel to the venue the morning of. I can’t say enough about Burlington! Choosing this venue was the easiest decision we made in planning our wedding. -

My name is Madison Elliott (formally Madison Slaybaugh) and my husband's name is Hunter Elliott. Hunter and I got married at Burlington Wedding and Events on October 15th, 2022 and it was everything we could’ve ever dreamed of for so many reasons. Hunter and I toured so many wedding venues but none of them had what we were looking for. We wanted the wow factor that was different from anywhere else. We wanted something unique, something that would be beautiful yet a venue that allowed us to make it our own! After weeks of looking, we finally found Burlington. Every time we visited during the planning process, we found something new we loved about it. The staircase and the reception room are BEAUTIFUL! The bridesmaid's suite provided more than enough room for me, my 7 bridesmaids, MOB, and MOG to get our hair and makeup done. All of my vendors had nothing but amazing things to say about Burlington as well. The hairstylist loved the hair chairs that were provided and the make-up artist said the lighting in the room was perfect. Her exact words were “Someone put some thought into this room when designing it and having all this natural light in here”. My caterer was very appreciative of the full kitchen that Burlington has and the private hallway that was perfect for our buffet line. We also had room for a Photo Booth that kept our guests entertained all night! I loved the layout of the reception room because it was like everything had a place that it could go which didn’t take away from having a large dance floor and seating for everyone. Burlington's staff was phenomenal! They worked with us so much during the planning and the lead up to our wedding and answered so many questions for us. We reached out multiple times to schedule our engagement pictures, bridal portraits, burring the bourbon, etc., and every time they accommodated our needs. I couldn’t have gotten through my wedding day without the Burlington staff. They helped everything run so smoothly the day of (even when my mom got in a car accident on the way to the venue the morning of). With their help, we were able to keep everything on time and under control. I am so very grateful to them. Lastly, Burlington provided the perfect location for pictures no matter what time of year it was. As stated above we had our engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and of course our day of pictures taken at Burlington but the thing I love is nobody can tell they were all taken at the same place. There are so many beautiful locations and backgrounds around Burlington that we were able to capture all of them at each photo shoot. In all, Burlington Wedding and Events is the the most amazing and beautiful wedding venue. If you’ve read this far - I would encourage you to stop your search and reach out to Burlington ASAP to lock in your date! Absolutely amazing and beautiful
My husband, Bradford Parsons and I had our wedding here on 10/02/2021. The second we walked the wedding venue we knew this was the place for us. Not only is the location absolutely beautiful and breathtaking from the moment you see it, everyone on staff was amazing to work with. We lived in Tennessee at the time and everyone really made sure to help ensure the planning process was smooth. Madison was great with planning, helping us visit the venue, answer the millions of questions and really reassure us that everything would run smoothly ( it did). Burlington really helped us create the wedding we both envisioned. The venue has so much to offer. A great place for the groom and groomsmen to get ready, a beautiful bridal cottage, ample amount of space for pictures, and so much more. We still get told how beautiful our wedding venue was. Burlington truly made our wedding day special and everything we could have asked for. -

The perfect venue!
My husband and I got married at Burlington on July 16, 2022. It was the most magical day of our lives. A huge reason it was so special was because of Burlington and their staff. First of all, it is just the most beautiful and elegant venue. It has everything you need and more. They have truly thought of everything to make sure a wedding day is flawless. Secondly, they worked so well with all of our other vendors. They made sure they knew all of our hopes and dreams for the day and made sure our day was exactly what we wanted. Their staff is so hard working.
It ended up raining on our big day and they were so flexible and accommodating in ensuring the rain didn’t ruin a thing!
We chose Burlington because it was beautiful and had everything we needed, and it ended up being beyond our expectations.
Their venue manager, Madison, answered all of our questions before and during our wedding and was such a treat to work with! Overall, Burlington is the BEST and if you are considering… you simply could never regret it!

We were married at Burlington Weddings & Events on July 6, 2019. We had looked at other venues in the area, but none could accommodate what we were looking for. Burlington had recently opened to the public and was virtually a little unknown venue that caught our eye. In fact, my wife Amy discovered it one day while it was under construction in 2018 when driving down Route 5. We weren't even engaged at that time and she thought, "I wonder if that's going to be a wedding venue - it's beautiful." Due to our hectic schedules, we were unable to see Burlington before we booked it. We had seen photos online and my in-laws visited it, but my wife and I were unable to see it before we put the deposit down. It turned out to be the perfect venue for our day and what we were looking for. We got married in July, and knew we wanted an indoor ceremony. Burlington was so accommodating for allowing us to be one of the very first room flips ever. They allowed us to have the perfect inside ceremony and reception while avoiding the heat, humidity, and thunderstorms that frequent the area that time of year. The staff, service, and onsite coordinator were fantastic to work with leading up to our special day and on the day of. The wedding venue worked amazingly with the outside vendors that we brought in (caterers, photographers, videographers, etc.) The venue was stunning in all aspects and made for fantastic photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. It was immaculately cared for from top to bottom. The Bridal Cottage and Groom's Den were the perfect spaces to relax and get ready for our big day. The Stable was perfect for a wedding size of 100 and allowed for great memories to be made by all. The grounds were fantastic to socialize, take photos and just enjoy the day. A very nice touch was following the wedding the owners of the venue sent us a gift for booking with them and that was a beautiful touch that we still have today.
We couldn't have picked a better venue for our incredible day!

My husband and I looked at several different venues when choosing our wedding location. The minute I walked into the main room in Burlington Plantation I started to cry and that's how I knew! The décor of the venue and historical preservation is amazing. The Ice House was my favorite!! My husband and I have known each other since birth and I loved how our venue had "history" much like our love story. Not only is it stunning! The staff is wonderful. During the time of COVID, with uncertainties in the air, the staff was quick to respond to all of my needs and questions. I felt so special and that my wedding was important to them. Thank you Burlington for the wedding of my dreams! If you are looking for a BEAUTIFUL venue, a WONDERFUL staff, and the wedding of your dreams look no further.

Fairytale Wedding
If you are searching for a wedding venue that is beautiful, unique, with all the accommodations you could possibly imagine, look no further! My husband, Zack Carter and I got married at The Burlington on October 5, 2019. The Burlington was the first and last venue we toured. We were so impressed with the kindness and warmth from the Burlington staff during our first visit. They have truly thought of every possible detail a bride and groom could want on their wedding day. From the the pristine landscaping, to the historic home/ ice house, gorgeous bridal sweet, and grooms den it has everything you could hope for! I always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding but the risk of getting rained out always loomed over me. The fact that you can have the best of both worlds at the Burlington is incredible! We still daydream about our perfect day here. I might be biased, but I have not attended a more special venue over the years than Burlington. We will always hold our wedding memories near and dear to our hearts and continue to recommend this venue to anyone searching for an outstanding venue!

Burlington Weddings & Events was a dream wedding venue! The overall ambiance of Burlington Weddings & Events is simply magical. The serene surroundings, stunning architecture, and exceptional service create an unforgettable experience for both you and your guests.
We first fell in love with Burlington through seeing pictures and videos on Instagram of Alyssa & Bruce’s wedding. The venue was southern-chic with a very grand feeling to it. We loved that it also had a country feel through being surrounded by corn and soybean fields, yet not too far from downtown Richmond or Williamsburg. With half of our wedding coming from out of town, we knew we needed to explore this option.
When we went for an official tour we were in absolute awe of the venue. Every little aspect of it perfectly described my husband and I. We immediately booked our fall wedding upon visiting the location!
Fast forward 14 months and it was time to get married! The bridal suite is all any bride could ever imagine! It was plenty of space for my bridesmaids, mother & MIL, and I to get ready in. We were able to spread out to relax and get ready before the wedding, with plenty of space in the kitchen to enjoy chicken minis & mimosas (:
The guys played cornhole on the lawn before heading up to their grooms suite to get ready in. They had ample space to help each other get dressed and enjoy some bourbon before getting ready for pictures before the wedding.
Our wedding was hosted outside in the fall and the colors of the landscape were phenomenal. To the colors of the trees changing, with the beautiful green grass and the picturesque reception building made it seem like the ultimate southern-style wedding.
The reception venue was more than enough room to seat our 150 person wedding, including a full band and dance floor. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the bourbon bar outside and the built-in bar at the front of the building. The dark wooden beams balanced with the beautiful chandeliers was absolutely breathtaking!
Through the whole planning and day-of festivities, Madison and the team at Burlington Weddings & Events were such a pleasure to work with. They made sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and that everything was set up and went off without a hitch. We cannot thank them enough for letting us host our wedding at Burlington! -

incredible experience !!!
My husband and I were married at Burlington on Nov. 17, 2018 and were one of the first few couples to be married there! We are so grateful to Burlington for treating us so well and making the whole process SO easy. I can say as a bride AND as a photographer, Burlington is a BEAUTIFUL venue for photos. My wife and I were fortunate enough to find this beautiful venue to host our wedding in the summer of 2022. Shortly after getting engaged, the reality of planning a wedding set in, and Burlington was one of the first places we visited to se if they would be a fit. After that first visit, we knew that we wanted to get married at Burlington. Besides the obvious beauty of the place, our first impression was how accommodating the staff was to help us out with any requests we may have. We wanted a wedding in the summer, but we also wanted an inside wedding to stay out of the Virginia July heat. And with a wedding invite list of 300 people, we did not know if that would be possible. However, Burlington assured us that they could make that happen inside, and we were not disappointed!
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! While we were holding out hope for one of those rare July days, that unfortunately did not come to pass. We got married on the hottest day of the year. Not just a hot day, THE hottest day of the year. And while we were concerned how the inside temperature would stay cool with people walking in and out frequently, there was truly nothing to worry about as the inside stayed comfortably cool. We had both our ceremony and reception indoors, with the cocktail hour outdoors. For the cocktail hour outdoors, Burlington was extremely helpful in putting up umbrellas for shade as well as having some surrounding buildings open for guests to stay cool. Additionally, they were able to flip the inside of the main venue quickly so people could come back in. With around 250 people there, the inside space still never felt crowded. Burlington was great with creatively using table sizes and placement to make the inside look beautiful and feel comfortable. We were not forced to devote any attention to stressing about the venue; Burlington took care of everything and let us just focus on getting married. I highly recommend future brides-and-grooms to look at Burlington. I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else! -

Getting married at Burlington was literally picture perfect! My husband and I knew we wanted a summer wedding since I am teacher, but also knew we wanted an indoor space to avoid some weather anxiety. We also knew that with our large families, we were going to have a guest list of at least 300! Burlington was the FIRST and ONLY place my husband and I toured! It had everything we needed! The Bridal Cottage has full kitchen and a large enough hair and make up station for 9 bridesmaids, MOB, and bride! to get ready comfortably. There is also Groomsmen Suite and Ice House for an extra bar during cocktail hour. The event space, called the Stables, is breathtaking and large enough that we did not have to make sacrifices on our guest list (we ended up having 250 guests attend). The high ceilings, chandeliers, white walls, and dark floors are beautiful. I remember standing there and thinking "this is IT!" In addition to the convenience of the getting ready spaces and the beauty of the venue, Burlington was so easy to work with. We worked with Madison Land and she was so kind and organized. She let us come in to look at linens and dinnerware in the venue and helped us figure out how to arrange the tables to get the best use of the space! Another plus is that the chairs, tables, and even the cross in our ceremony (optional for those seeking a more religious ceremony) all were included and we did not have to rent those separately! I could not imagine a more perfect place to marry the man of my dreams and celebrate our love with all our friends and family! -

My husband and I got married here on 4/27/19. When looking for venues for our wedding, we toured a few places in the area and none of them compared to Burlington. As soon as we started the tour, we knew this would be the perfect place for our wedding, and we were right!!! The staff were wonderful and accommodating throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself. The space is also GORGEOUS, with a very timeless and classic aesthetic. If you're considering Burlington for your wedding, book it! You won't regret it! Also, as a wedding videographer, I've seen lots of venues throughout Virginia and this is honestly one of the prettiest. The interior spaces get tons of natural light (huge win) and the exterior grounds are lovely. Your photos/video will look beautiful whether taken inside or outside, I guarantee it!

A dream come true
We came across Burlington Plantation because we wanted a private, beautiful place in the middle of Richmond and Williamsburg, which is where both our families reside. Little did we know that we would get SO much more than just a great location. From the charming, homey and luxurious bridal cottage to the ice house, the entire property was not only beautiful and secluded, but functional. As we continued the tour, we entered the reception area and were IMMEDIATELY sold. We were struck by the gorgeous staircase and the grandeur of the room. There was no question that this is exactly where we needed to be married. Look no further, Burlington is a step above all of the others - everything is professional, fine tuned and perfect. Our Dream Venue!
My now husband and I toured more than 10 venues when trying to find the perfect spot for our wedding. I was convinced the perfect place did not exist until we toured Burlington. The property, buildings, chandeliers, staircase, etc. were all stunning. The staff at Burlington is also extremely welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our wedding day seamless. I recommend this venue to anyone I can! Burlington truly made our wedding a dream come true.

When I dreamed of what I envisioned my wedding day to be, I knew I wanted something elegant and timeless. After touring many venues, none stood out the way Burlington did to us. Both my husband and I agreed that the indoor space was breathtaking, as is the outdoor space! You really can't go wrong with either decision for your ceremony. Another thing I love is that every wedding is unique and different, yet all on the same property. The Burlington staff is extremely kind, flexible, and dedicated to making your wedding dreams come true.

Burlington offered so much flexibility on our wedding day! One thing I wanted to ensure when looking for a venue was a solid rain plan and so glad I did as it rained on our wedding day, but the staff was absolutely wonderful to work with us to transition to an inside wedding. The reception area was beautiful and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate all of our 125 guests, but still feel intimate and cozy. The staff were all friendly and attentive, making sure everyone had everything they needed! In addition, they offer several rentals included in their package that would be an additional cost at other venues. Overall, I would highly recommend Burlington - it truly was a memorable experience to this day and I can't imagine a better place to celebrate our nuptials!

Everything about Burlington was a complete dream! When we began researching different wedding venues, we were flooded with banquet halls, barns, or places that charged an arm and a leg to book. None of them were what we envisioned. Before getting too discouraged we came across Burlington’s website link and decided to attend one of their vendor events and completely fell in love.
We booked Burlington in February 2019 which gave us about year and a half long engagement. During that time, the staff did a phenomenal job communicating with my husband and myself, our wedding planner and vendors.
Unknowingly our wedding just so happened to fall during the heart of Covid. Public gathering restrictions were constantly changing, but the staff was able to provide us with options to prioritize everyone’s health and well being. We were fortunate to still have the wedding we envisioned on our original date.
The grounds as well as the venue hall itself were stunning! Burlington is so versatile and offers different set up options to create the wedding of your dreams. This definitely came in handy when we got some unexpected rain the day of our wedding! The staff was proactive and quick to flip the setup to and indoor ceremony and reception.
When booking with Burlington the venue includes a bridal cottage and groomsmen’s den for the bridal party to get ready in. We loved having this option! The venue also includes outdoor spacing where guests can mingle, socialize and enjoy a game of corn hole (this was a hit with our guests!)
From beginning to the end, Burlington Weddings and Events did their part to make sure our wedding day was unforgettable. We cannot thank them enough!!!

We got married at Burlington on October 1st, 2022 and we had a great experience! The staff at Burlington were wonderful, from our first tour to view the venue, through the booking process and on the day of, they were very responsive and easy to work with. The venue is absolutely beautiful and there is so much you can do with the space. We loved having the bridal cottage and grooms den to get ready on the morning of, and the ice house and vintage trailer as options to use for cocktail hour. We had planned to do our ceremony outside but ended up using our rain plan and doing both the ceremony and reception inside, but it turned out beautifully and we were so fortunate that Burlington has the ability to flip the space if needed for weather. We had so many of our guests comment on how beautiful the venue was. We would absolutely recommend Burlington to anyone who is looking for a place to get married! -

We chose this lovely venue for the outdoor ceremony space and indoor reception. The grounds are just beautiful and a lot of equipment was available on property with beautiful spaces to get ready. We also were looking for a venue that could host over 250 people. Burlington was so special not only because of the staff, the location and event spaces but mainly how beautiful the indoors and outdoors were magical from day to night. Dream Wedding Venue!!
We got married on 12/28/2019 here and had the absolute best experience!! We chose Burlington after looking at dozens of “farm-like” venues over 3 different states. The moment I walked in and saw the reception area chandeliers, dark wood, large beams, and all of the charm, it was an immediate YES! It was such a special day and all of the guidance leading up to it made our wedding planning 1,000 times easier. This is a one of a kind venue and if you book, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I do not have the words to describe how amazing our wedding at Burlington was! We were married September 11, 2021 and it was a dream day!! The staff was so easy to work with and accommodating of everything we wanted for our special day. They taught us the tradition of “burying the bourbon” which was so fun and it worked — we had fantastic weather and guests were able to enjoy the outdoor/indoor feel that Burlington offers which is why we chose the venue to begin with. We fell in love with Burlington when we went to visit because of the elegant vibe of the building while also having the element of the open fields. It was also one of the only venues in the area that could accommodate our 300 person wedding.

Scott and Ashley Russell: My wife and I got married at Burlington on June 1, 2019. We had viewed a bunch of venues, but once we were at Burlington, we were set. We wanted an outdoor ceremony but an indoor reception, and it HAD to be air conditioned. Burlington had what we needed. The staff were extremely kind and courteous as soon as we got there, treating us like family instead of cash cows and genuinely excited for our big day. The last (of many) things that we loved was that the venue was built not as a profit-maker, but as a place for the owners' family to have their own wedding. This love was reflected every step along the way, and our choice to book was one we never second-guessed. -

My husband and I got married at Burlington June 1, 2019. From the minute we toured there, we knew we wouldn’t need to look anywhere else. We loved that it was family owned, the genuine care they took with us, and (of course) the beauty of the venue! One thing that stood out the most was that they weren’t pumping out weddings back to back like a factory—they view weddings as the important day that they are, not just a chance to turn a profit.

Oh my goodness, I have nothing but positivity to share about Burlington Wedding and Events! The venue was so gorgeous, and my coordinators were so sweet and kind. The staff/coordinators there really made what could've been a stressful (yet happy) day so much easier as accommodated all of my wishes and made my husband and I feel so joyous to be getting married there.
We got married on November 5th, 2022, and everything was so special because of Burlington Wedding and Events. My bridesmaids and I stayed in the bridal cottage the night before and honestly, it made life so much easier having a place to get ready at the venue itself. The room designated for hair and makeup alone was revolutionary, as we were seamlessly bringing my girls in and out as needed and there was space for everyone with hair tools and makeup. 10/10! (I miss that rooms so much. So many selfies.)
My husband also really appreciated having a lovely area for him and his groomsmen to get ready as a lot of venues we looked at didn't have a designated place for the grooms. So having a space for him was such a plus when we were just looking at venues.
Overall, I am so so so thankful for the experience that Burlington provided my husband and me on our special day and I recommend everyone getting married here as we will cherish that day all of our lives! ❤️❤️❤️ -

My husband and I got married at Burlington on July 31st, 2021. It was absolutely magical! Burlington was a venue that I had driven past before and only dreamed of getting married there. From our first visit to tour the property to the moment we picked up decor after the wedding, Burlington showed wonderful professionalism and went above and beyond our expectations. The Burlington property is so beautiful that it barely required decor! Not only is Burlington beautiful inside and outside, but it is perfectly laid out and suited for getting ready, a ceremony (having a rainy day plan was a huge relief), cocktail hour, and reception. We (Connor and Stephanie Dunn) got married on September 24th, 2022. We chose the Burlington because of the beautiful landscape, buildings and Virginia feel. They made us feel relaxed and that everything would be taken care of. Madison was our coordinator from the Burlington, and she was excellent and very knowledgeable. My husband Milad and I got married at Burlington on 10.10.20 and it was everything we dreamt of and more! We worked with Madison throughout the planning process and she was so responsive, helpful, and informative. We loved that we got use of the entire property, the many different options of spaces on where to have our events, the ability to host over 200 guests, and the backup rain plan. Unfortunately it rained the entire day of our wedding, but because Burlington has a great rain plan, no one really cared or noticed. Everything was still stunning! The bridal cottage is so beautiful and updated, and served as a great backdrop for getting ready photos. My husband had a great time with his groomsmen in the loft upstairs as well. We both highly recommend Burlington to any couples getting married! -

My husband and I got married here at Burlington and I can not recommend it more. From the first time meeting Betty to touring with Mackenzie it was a phenomenal experience. The venue is immaculate, and the service is outstanding. The bridal suite and grooms den is a perfect addition. There are multiple different views and locations for amazing pictures. The location is equal distance in between Richmond and Williamsburg. Guest can stay in either direction to accommodate as needed. You can not go wrong booking this venue for your perfect day.
A special touch to add to this venue to show their caring and generosity was this venue even allowed me to take pregnancy announcement pictures a year later on site for a special reveal. -

Beautiful venue
My husband and I got married here August 20, 2022, and it was truly the wedding of my dreams! The venue is absolutely stunning, and every employee, especially Madison, we’re all so helpful and accommodating. She let us start to bring decor and set up several days in advance to lessen our stress, and was on top of every detail (including things I had totally missed!).
We had originally chosen a different venue but decided to tour one more, and thank god we did. I had butterflies leaving, and just knew it was the right place.

It offers a beautiful rustic open concept facility rich in history with multiple common areas (and bars) for guest, making it the one stop shop for a wedding in South East Virginia! We looked at many venues and Burlington was by far the best option. The staff was amazing and very responsive and flexible too. Cant recommend this venue enough. -

My husband Taylor and I got married May 4th, 2019 and are coming up on our 4 year anniversary. When we first saw Burlington Plantation on the wedding platforms, it was a new venue so all we knew from pictures was how beautiful the grounds looked. When we got there, it exceeded every expectation and we immediately knew it was the one. You feel like you’ve been transported to a whole new place where time seems to slow down. It is what I imagine some of the Italian or European country side would resemble. The bridal cottage and groomsmen suite was the PERFECT place to get ready and accommodated my large wedding party well. It has so many unique places like the ice house for more fun and really neat pictures! My favorite place was the stables with the beautiful high ceilings and beams with to die for chandeliers. It had little things that helped us feel that we didn’t have to add much to make it something special. Also, it looks incredible lit up at night! On top of its beauty, the venue staff was incredibly kind, flexible, and easy to work with. We went a few times before the wedding to make sure every detail was perfect and Pam was a huge help in all of those meetings. I really can’t imagine getting married anywhere else and am so glad we chose Burlington Plantation. -

Amazing Experience at the BEST Venue!
My Husband and I got married at Burlington on August 27th, 2022! From the moment we stepped foot on the beautiful grounds of Burlington, we knew it was PERFECT for our big day. The venue is well worth the price and our guest were amazed at its beauty! The staff was patient, welcoming, and truly made such an exciting time a magical experience. They were extremely responsive and patient in answering all of our questions and did a great job getting back to us quickly. They were flexible in allowing us to bring others out to see the venue, schedule bridal portraits, and to schedule our final walkthrough on a weekend since we lived out of town. They let us bring in our own vendors and helped us coordinate with all of them to ensure that everything was flawless. The wedding day flowed perfectly and was not stressful at all due to the staff's hard work. One of my bridesmaid zipper broke on her dress the morning of our wedding day, and the staff jumped right in to fix her dress! This was a huge blessing to me and made me so grateful for the love and care we received from Burlington. The bridal cottage on site was spacious and precious for pictures! My bridesmaids and I had the best time sipping mimosas and taking pictures while getting ready. My husband and his friends spent the morning in the groom den playing darts! On the wedding day, every staff member I encountered was so excited for us and made the day so much more special than I could have imagined. The only people who will love this venue more than you are your photographer and videographer. Everything inside and outside is renovated and well-maintained. If you are looking for the best place to host your event between Williamsburg and Richmond, you found it! I am a professional DJ and I worked a few wedding events here earlier this year and already have some lined up for next year. Before this year is over, I wanted to take the time and share with all review readers how grateful I am for the opportunity to be able to collaborate with such a great venue and the talented team that makes magic happen every time I am there. They communicate well with vendors, everything is always clean and looks amazing, and the layout options are awesome. I especially love the outdoor spaces for ceremonies and cocktail hour. Burlington has been with my family since before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic... the original wedding date was April 10, 2020...but as everyone knows our plan quickly fell apart in March that year...as a devastated bride I can surely say without question... Burlington was EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING AND UNDERSTANDING!!!! I have read about and heard about many horror stories of some vendors withholding deposits, etc due to wedding date changes out of the couple's control. Luckily and fortunately that did not happen for us! We pushed the date back an entire year...figuring we would be out of the covid mess by then...but then once again this year we had to make the decision to push the wedding back once more....as you can imagine I was slowly feeling defeated and the joy of wedding planning was quickly escaping me...BUT Burlington was not going to give up! We pushed the date out once again...another year... and then we got the miraculous call in the middle of summer that they had a cancelation over Labor Day weekend! They were kind enough to hold that as long as I needed to confirm with all other vendors and family of the quick last minute date change. And the wedding Gods were FINALLY on our side! We were FINALLY able to have our big day this past Labor Day and Burlington made sure EVERY SINGLE DETAIL was in order and in place! They made everything EASY!!! It is the most beautiful venue with everything a bride & groom and all other vendors would need and more! Madison and team were beyond phenomenal! Best venue and experience ever!
Cannot say enough fabulous things about this venue, the owners, and employees! They go above and beyond for their brides! We had to postpone our wedding TWICE due to Covid, but Burlington staff and owner, Betty, took the stress out of this and did whatever they could to accommodate us. This was our dream venue and Burlington wasn’t going to let a pandemic ruin our dream wedding! Betty even gave up her personal use of the venue so we could have our wedding that day! That is the quality of service you will get here! The grounds at Burlington are nothing short of perfection! Everything is so clean and well taken care of. Communication with them is a breeze! Gorgeous venue with amazing staff!
Look no further than Burlington for the most gorgeous wedding venue! Betty, the owner, keeps everything pristine- from the landscaping to the indoor Stables reception hall. They have seriously thought of everything!! The bridal cottage is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for my bridal party while we got ready. The venue is so versatile. In COVID times we felt so blessed to have such a large venue with social distancing options both outside and inside. Burlington went above and beyond to make sure our event was safe for our guests. We decided to switch things up and actually faced our ceremony towards the Main House rather than the field, and it was so beautiful and the most perfect backdrop. Madison and Jasmyne were also wonderful to work with. It’s truly a top notch venue. We feel so lucky to have had our wedding here! -

Betty who is the owner had several meetings with me and it really shows how much pride she has in her venue and she should! It is absolutely gorgeous. This venue was perfect in more ways than one. My husband and I got married here in September of 2019 and we couldn’t of dreamed of a better place. This venue has the option of an indoor or outdoor ceremony, which was wonderful in the fact we didn’t have to worry too much about weather issues the day of. The owners and staff are helpful and welcoming and we’re so helpful with the wedding planning process/day of. The owners helped with vendor recommendations and made sure our day was picture perfect. The venue has a place for the groomsmen and a bridal cottage which was very helpful and convenient. The bridal cottage has the perfect amount of space and has a designated room for hair/makeup. The venue is gorgeous as is so we didn’t have to spice it up hardly any. The venue also had decorations we were able to use (chalkboards, lanterns, etc) which was amazing. I can’t thank the event team at Burlington Plantation enough for everything they did for us during the whole process! From start to finish Mrs. Howard and her team were always there for us and went above and beyond to make everything about the experience far better than we could have ever dreamed, from the site visits, to my bridal portrait session, to the actual big day, where the whole staff gave 1000% the whole weekend to make sure everything was perfect. Can’t even begin to say enough good things about this venue and it’s staff. 💕💕 Not only is the staff top notch, but the facility and grounds are impeccable! The eye for detail in creating this venue is so apparent in all of the fine touches. Our guests have been raving about it non stop since our wedding. My daughter got married here in June 2019. The girls used the bridal cottage to get ready. They had lots of space to get ready. Our hairstylist Kendall was impressed with the styling chairs they had in beauty salon room. The guys got ready and had lots of fun in the grooms den. The wedding was outside on a beautiful day. We used the Ice House to serve drinks for the cocktail hour. The meal and the reception was held inside the elegant ballroom. You have to see it to believe how spectacular it is. The owner Betty and Amber (director of events) were so easy to work with and very personable. The venue is gorgeous. The wedding was beautiful. -

My husband and I got married here on 6/29/2019. When I attended a wedding here the previous year, it was love at first site! The venue is amazing, and the owners and wedding coordinators are wonderful to work with. They use "All Seated" which makes designing and table placement/assignments a breeze. From start to finish, everything was perfect. My girls and I got ready in their bridal cottage which is the perfect size! We were able to hang out all together while getting our make-up and hair done. The guys hung out in the grooms suite which is tastefully decorated. Our first look was taken under the trees and will never be forgotten! The Ice House was used during our cocktail hour and was a huge hit! For the start of our reception, I loved walking down the grand staircase onto the dance floor. It was such an elegant addition to already an amazing wedding! We ate, danced the night away, and had a sparkler send off which was the perfect end to our perfect wedding at the most perfect wedding venue!
The have a bridal cottage on site that is big enough for all of your bridesmaids! 5 of my bridesmaids stayed the night and woke up with me on my wedding day. The cottage has a full kitchen, with separate make-up room suite, and bridal suite on the first floor. The top floor is an open room with multiple day beds and it's own full bathroom.
On the grounds, they have the Burlington Ice House which is where we served beer and wine during our cocktail hour. The stables is beautiful with plenty of room tables, dance floor, band, photo booth, etc and also includes a spectacular staircase in which the parents and party walked down during the grand entrance. There is also an antique bar which is where our beer and wine was served during the reception. A grooms apartment is located a top portion of the stables which includes a full kitchen, bathroom, living area and bedroom with a day bed. It has plenty of space for all groomsmen to get ready the day of.
There are also multiple different locations for you to have your ceremony whether you wanted a large wedding in front of the field (when I got married corn was growing), an intimate ceremony under the pergola with chandelier, or a nice inside wedding in front of the grand staircase.

Gorgeous venue!
Burlington Plantation is a beautiful venue and I highly recommend it. We had our wedding inside the Stables and everyone raved about it. We had chosen to do an inside wedding throughout the entire planning process. Betty, Amber and their team were so awesome and efficient flipping the room from the ceremony to the reception setup. They did it in under an hour and everything turned out perfect. I worked with Amber throughout the entire planning process and she was so friendly and great to work with. My parents actually looked at the venue and booked it without my fiance and I seeing it because they loved it so much. Betty actually gave my parents the tour and they couldn't stop talking about how friendly she was and how detail oriented she was. They could tell she really cared about the property and providing the best experience for her clients. Burlington has multiple houses onsite that you can use and what's really nice is when you book at Burlington you book the entire property. They have a gorgeous bridal cottage that the bridal party can get ready in and they also have a groom's den with an Xbox to keep the guys busy. I highly recommend this venue, you won't regret it and you won't regret getting the chance to work with Betty and Amber. -

My husband and I got married at Burlington Plantation 1 month ago today! It was our dream day! The venue is stunning and rustic and comfy all in one. We had a wonderful experience with everyone on staff at Burlington. They were friendly, quick to reply and honestly felt like family after the whole experience was all said and done with. I would highly recommend this venue! -

Absolutely Spectacular! Exceeded all expectations!
My Son & his wife were married here last weekend! The venue is absolutely spectacular! It is so beautiful! Therefore, it truly requires very little additional decor! The staff is absolutely amazing! Betty, Pam, and Madison gave us their undivided attention and were available at a moments notice. They offer suggestions. They have so many extra amenities and share many of their decor generously for the reception hall! The ladies attention to detail is superb! The grooms suite and bridal suite are a must! The pictures made throughout the property are out of this world! Our expectation were beyond exceeded! Believe me when I say...your look for a wedding venue is over! Burlington Plantation will make your wedding dreams come true!
