I cannot say enough amazing things about Burgundy Blue! From the very first meeting, Ryan (owner) made us feel completely comfortable and truly understood our vision for the day. JJ, our photographer delivered an amazing engagement shoot, so we were confident our wedding photos would be just as magical.
On our wedding day, JJ was not only professional and organized, but also warm, funny, and such a joy to have around. He captured every single moment we were hoping for with so much artistry and attention to detail. I’ve looked through our photos so many times because it feels like reliving the day all over again!
What really stood out is how seamlessly he was able to be present without ever feeling intrusive. I loved all the ideas for poses which felt genuine and did a great job at showing the magic of the day.
Hiring Burgundy Blue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. If you want a photography company who employs amazing talent but also professional, reliable, and passionate about their craft, look no further. We will treasure these photos forever! -

We worked with Trevor and Jodie for our wedding at the Santa Barbara Zoo. They showed up on-time, prepared and ready to get to work. They orchestrated our first-look and a slew of romantic shots. They then worked well to coral our families together to take a series of family shots. Trevor and Jodie worked very well with the toddlers in our family - somehow getting them to stand still and smile for the pictures (despite all the zoo animals there as a distraction!). More than anything, Trevor and Jodie made us feel very special on our big day and were fun, empathetic, and very pleasant to work with. Ryan, the owner of the company, was easy to communicate with and coordinated everything. -

Wonderful Photographer!!
We booked Trevor through Burgundy Blue and he was absolutely wonderful! We had such a great experience and loved how kind, fun, and easy he was to work with. Our wedding was in July at the Natural History Museum in LA, we hired Trevor to shoot getting ready photos, wedding party photos, and the entire wedding/reception. He was communicative and flexible with scheduling and shooting locations around the venue. We loved his positive attitude and he made everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Thank you so much, we're so happy with our photos!! -

Ryan and his team are FANTASTIC. The photos from our wedding were so GORGEOUS. I hired them based off of a recommendation from our planner. Though she wasn't great, Ryan and Zak were. We LOVE the photos. Zak was amazing, a very calming chill presence on a stressful day. Leading up to wedding, Ryan was so communicative and timely in his responses. A true professional. I was worried the photos may be too moody based off of what I had seen, but they were ROMANTIC / GORGEOUS and perfect, despite gloomy weather. Also, they are affordable and well worth every cent. An additional plus, we had the photos in 3 weeks! So fast! Fully recommend! -

The entire crew of Burgundy Blue is just a class act -- Ryan was so flexible and easy to work with throughout all of the COVID challenges, it was a delight. He's a lovely guy and can take some beautiful shots!
For day of wedding photography & video, Trevor and Tim crushed it. We're so thrilled with how everything came out -- their hard work completely commemorated the day and just made it that much more special -

We love lena & burgundy blue!
Wedding Day Review: After an incredible engagement session with Lena back in 2020, we were not surprised when she surpassed all expectations on our wedding day. Lena and her assistant Amber were everything we could've wanted in our photographers. On time, professional, high energy, and most importantly they captured the day in the most beautiful and stunning ways possible. They came early and scoped out the venue looking for the perfect spots. They were organized when it came time to wrangle the family for pictures and everyone we talked to after the wedding mentioned how nice and lovely they both were. Lena and Amber just know how to make you feel comfortable and confident. On a chaotic day they actually helped us feel sane and calm. We could not be happier with our photos and look forward to cherishing them for years to come. Everyone that sees the album can tell how much love and joy there was on the day simply seeing it through Lena's camera lens, which to us means they got an A+++! We hope to use Lena and BB for all our important moments, they definitely have us as a customer for life :)
Engagement Session Review: Ryan was able to get everything coordinated quickly and was very responsive. Our photographer Lena was the absolute best! We booked with BB for our wedding in 2021 and wanted to do the engagement session to get comfortable with Lena. We loved her willingness and flexibility to find the perfect location. My partner and I felt totally at ease and the photos turned out INCREDIBLE. More beautiful than we could even had hoped for! The turn around was also very quick and access to view the photos was seamless. The photos all looks very natural and organic, not posed or forced. Highly recommend Lena and Burgundy Blue and we're so excited to have the shoot our wedding next year!! -

Burgundy Blue is Amazing!!!
Burgundy Blue did an amazing job capturing our wedding at Millwick in downtown LA. The style in which the photos were shot, and the level of effort that went into the event, really shine through in our wedding pictures. Also, dealing with Ryan at Burgundy Blue was a pleasure. He has a keen artistic eye, is easy to work with and made great suggestions to help us feel natural and relaxed. They also did an incredible job shooting our engagement photos. We highly recommend Burgundy Blue and will be using them for future events. -

I highly recommend Burgundy Blue for your wedding or special event photographers! My husband and I got married on October 12th, 2019 & we had the BEST experience with Ryan and Trevor. They captured our wedding exactly how we remember it- all the smiles, the fun and the tears!
From the first consultation with Ryan we knew he was the right photographer for our wedding. He was professional and accommodating to our schedule and budget. They worked with us to make a detailed shot list and to discuss what was most important to us photography wise. Ryan and Trevor arrived early to ensure they can find the best locations in and outside our venue and to ensure the best lighting for our pictures. Ryan made sure to get every shot we discussed. They exceeded our expectations in every possible way. The pictures were beyond gorgeous and our friends and family are still raving about the pictures! -

We are so happy we trusted Ryan and his team to capture the magic that was our wedding day. From the first time we met Ryan, my husband and I felt comfortable and at ease. He asked us what was important to us and really listened and respected our wishes. We were a little nervous that we might feel awkward and posed, having our photos taken for such a long period of time, but Ryan’s attitude and energy made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Ryan was positive, upbeat, and a joy to work with. We felt like we could be ourselves around him, and the result was that he could capture US on the best day of our lives.
We used Burgundy Blue for both photo and video, and we're so glad that we did. We are absolutely in love with the photos – Ryan captured the joy and fun that everyone felt at our wedding. Taking photos with our wedding party before the ceremony was a highlight of the day. Ryan and his team loved our venue and made us excited to explore different places and different photo backdrops. The result was really great, fun, and a wide variety of photos. The video turned out great, too. Being the bride and groom, there is a lot that you “miss” at the wedding (that you’ve spent months planning), so I was happy that we decided to do video – because it gave us a chance to see what all our guests got to experience on the Big Day. They were quick to give us previews – 15-20 photos – a few weeks after our wedding, which was great. We received the entire gallery less than 6 weeks after our wedding. All in all, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the final product and the experience working with Burgundy Blue. -

Professional, Artistic, and Adaptable Photographer!
I cannot sing enough praises about JJ from Burgundy Blue. From start to finish, he combined his own vision with my silly, upbeat personality to capture unforgettable, breathtaking images on the best day of our lives! He made us feel so relaxed, comfortable, and full of joy as we posed, laughed, and cried our way through our wedding and ceremony. He was flexible when I offered suggestions and gave us various recommendations along the way to to capture all of the emotions we were feeling while at the same time working his magic to ensure that the lighting and background were stunning with every snap he took. Highly, Highly recommend JJ!! Bonus- We've been married one week and already received sample photos of our wedding! I can't wait to receive the full compilation in just a few short weeks! -

I HIGHLY recommend Ryan. He is incredibly talented, great at giving direction, and a brings an aura of friendliness and chill to the day.
He shot our wedding at the Santa Barbara courthouse. The ceremony was captured beautifully yet he was never intrusive. He knew exactly which locations there would work best. He gave us a huge amount of variety and was very accommodating capturing every family member. It doesn't take long for him to get the perfect shot where everyone looks their best so we can move on. He manages to makes everyone feel comfortable.
Gorgeous compositions, masterfully edited. The final photos have a very modern look to them. We ended up with an overwhelming amount of variety that we wanted to frame them all, truly. They are wonderful memories and he captured us, the ceremony and our family perfectly. -

Burgundy Blue was an exceptional choice for our wedding photography. We had an inkling from their website portfolio that they would have an eye for capturing the beauty and joy of a very special moment in time, but they went far above our expectations of what our wedding photos would look and feel like. We had an initial / introductory call with Ryan prior to booking them, and he just seemed to "get" us. He was extremely responsive via email (even when we weren't always on top of things, what with all the stress that wedding planning can bring), and we always felt that we were in good hands even before the event. On the big day, he and his associate photographer Trevor both brought a warmth and sense of excitement with them and made everyone, including our bridal party and families, feel at ease. They truly captured our personalities and made taking a zillion photographs feel comfortable and even fun! We could not recommend them enough. My only regret is not hiring them for videography too! -

I am beyond happy that my Husband and I decided to have Ryan, Jay, and their team capture the most special time in our relationship. From day one Burgundy Blue was incredibly professional and helpful walking us through their packages and answering any questions. We had Burgundy Blue capture our Engagement and Wedding photos. We are both fairly shy and don’t enjoy being in front of the camera but they definitely changed that and made us feel incredibly comfortable. The engagement session with Ryan and Jay was loads of fun and they are amazing at finding spots with incredible lighting. On our wedding day Ryan and Trevor did an amazing job capturing all of our special moments, family photos, romantic photos, and many candid photos of us and our guests that were a happy surprise. I would highly recommend Burgundy Blue to anyone in search of a photographer for any occasion. Our photos are so incredibly beautiful, I can’t stop looking at them and showing them to everyone!

So many guests have told me how great our photographer was (for both days of events), and he really was. Great guy to work with and really made an effort to get all the photos I wanted.
