I recently got married here and I can't recommend this venue more! Vickie was extremely helpful through the whole planning process, which made the day of run so smoothly. My guests raved about the food and the service from the staff, we couldn't have asked for anything better! The landscape and outdoor ceremony pavilion was well kept and looked so stunning. The day of coordinators Leela and Julia did an excellent job and really helped execute the day perfectly. The staff was super accommodating to mine & my husband's needs, thanks so much BVGC for the best day!

The second we walked into Bull Valley and met Vickie, we immediately knew this was where we wanted to get married. The space is BEAUTIFUL, and well priced for everything you get. Vickie was so great to work with and so on top of everything. You can really tell she loves all the couples she works with. We had Leela as our day of coordinator and she was just as amazing. They always got back to our emails and paid attention to all our details and requests. The day of was perfect. Leela was always there making sure everything was running smoothly. We also used most of their recommended vendors, who were all amazing and so great to work with. We would get married here again in a heartbeat and cant recommend this place enough! It was the perfect location and experience.

To the hidden gem of an establishment. We have to say thank you, so very much for everything. From the beginning, to the end, was simply perfect. Vicky, Leela & all the staff, were most outstanding!! All I can say is WOW!!! The service & food was so superb! We got endless compliments on the beautiful venue and how helpful and fast all of the staff was! I could not have had a more special wedding day, everything was perfection! Thanks again with highest praise, to the wonderful, Bull Valley country & golf club! Bull Valley Golf Club was the first venue I toured after getting engaged and I was sold the minute I walked through the doors. The rustic yet classy vibe they have going on is beautiful and exactly what I envisioned for my big day. I worked with Vickie when I first booked and she was absolutely incredible to work with. She answered all my questions thoroughly and was always extremely kind, professional and responsive. Then I was introduced to Leela, the coordinator provided by the venue. She too was awesome to work with and always answered every little question I had. They executed everything perfectly. And the food is AMAZING! I highly suggest Bull Valley Golf Club for your special day. You won’t be disappointed!

We have nothing but good things to say about our venue. The staff was amazing and helped us out so much. We decorated the day of, and used the bridal suite to get ready. It was the perfect size for our bridesmaids and flower girl and myself to get ready. Vickie was wonderful with her paperwork and everyone was on the same page of the flow the entire time. They worked with us on EVERYTHING we asked for and could have wanted. At the end of the night, you have to have everything out by 30 mins after your end time but the staff helped us clean up! The food was amazing and the cake company they work with Lovin Oven was WONDERFUL. Everyone loved their food and dessert and drink options. I will be recommending this venue to EVERYONE.

Bull Valley Golf Club was FABULOUS!!! We worked with Vickie Boysen and you would have thought that we were her only client. Vickie is a lovely person inside and out. She is also passionate about her work and was involved with every detail. We could not have done it without her and her team (Hailey was amazing!). And the Chiavari chairs are included in the price - NO UPCHARGE!!! Our wedding was in November, but the Bull Valley grounds were still full of color. Our photographer (Amber Linderman Photography - Barrington, IL) had no problem finding beautiful areas for photos. Stop looking for a venue. Bull Valley is the BEST!!

We fell in love with this place the day of our tour, and booked on the same day. It is BEAUTIFUL there!! It fit our theme perfectly, and our colors. Staff was a pleasure to work with as well. Michael O Ryan Floral & Event Design are one of the preferred vendors there, and they made the venue look like something out of a fairytale. Highly recommend reaching out to Vickie to help you with planning :)

From Rustic to Lavish, Bull Valley can make any bride’s vision a reality. I had such a wonderful experience at Bull Valley - I was a very organized bride and they blew me away with their detail, planning, and they were so kind. Vickie and JoMarie made our special day so perfect - both of them have such a passion for weddings and people. I met with them both several times in-person and via phone, and they were so flexible allowing me to visit the club many times, since I’m a visual person! Never did they make me feel inconvenient, they always made sure they had time for us. Our day was beautiful - it was in October and was supposed to be 60’s and sunny outside, it ended up being 29 degrees and snowing sideways. We wanted our wedding outside so badly, but we looked outside and had such a sigh of relief because Bull Valley took care of our contingency plan to host the ceremony inside. If you have to have a contingency plan for weather (it totally happens!) Bull Valley’s indoor and outdoor ceremony options are BEAUTIFUL! I would never have wanted to be at another venue hosting the ceremony inside - Bull Valley’s indoor option is almost better than outside with their windows, natural light, stone and beautiful scenery outside. I cannot thank JoMarie enough for her assistance the day before and day-of the wedding, she ensured everything was so smooth and perfect. The food was phenomenal - we chose to do buffet with carving stations and our guests would not stop telling us (even to this day) how amazing the food was. It was a perfect day and Bull Valley made sure of it!

My husband and I got married on August, 18 2018 and it was the best day of my life with help from Vickie, Amy and JoMarie! I cannot Express enough how helpful Amy was on my wedding day. She was seriously a ROCKSTAR! During the planning process Vickie and JoMarie were so helpful and very quick to my hundreds of emails with questions. They made everything so easy and organized! The day of my wedding Amy set up my decorations (I am a very picky where decor should go so I was a little nervous) BUT OH MY GOD did everything look so beautiful! She was very helpful throughout the day checking up on us asking we need drinks or a snack. My photographer even said she has never worked with an event coordinator that good, so I was seriously blessed and spoiled that day! Bull Valley should have over 5 stars because they are amazing to work with!

We had our wedding here on sept 16th. During the 2 years of planning, vickie and eileen were very helpful with my questions. On the day before the wedding, we met JoMarie who helped us with knowing who was walking when and made sure everything went along smoothly. I loved that we were greated with drinks the second we got onto the patio after our ceremony! Everyone kept talking about how great the filet was, not ONE person had a bad one. We also heard great things about the chicken and vegetarian meal. One recommendation would be to have the staff wait to clear the tables. I was a little bummed when we went back to our table around 10pm to see the staff had removed everything off it, including our cake we didnt get to eat. Other than that, everything was great!

This place was amazing!!! Words cant even express how smoothly everything ran. The staff was wonderful to work with and the food was even better!! Great Place to get married!

Bull Valley was completely amazing! Vickie and Jo were so accommodating and truly cared about my wedding day and my vision. They were very efficient in responding to emails and helping me plan my wedding day. They were flexible and friendly throughout the entire process. The day of, everything went smoothly. Service was wonderful and I had many guests comment on the great service throughout dinner! I was very impressed and so happy with the way everything turned out. Thank you!

I would highly recommend Bull Valley!! We had our rehearsal dinner there and the ceremony/reception. The staff is ALL great! Have no complaints and really work with you. Nothing but great!!

Eileen, Ember and Mark made our day run perfect. They were there the entire time. Anytime we needed anything or if they had any suggestions to make anything better, they were there. Our guests said the food (appetizers, dinner and late night snacks) were phenomenal!!
Vickie was also very helpful with getting everything ready for the big day. She also suggested to have our cocktail hour outside since it was 65 degrees on the day we got married.
We could not have had a better experience with the entire staff at Bull Valley.

We booked Bull Valley Country Club two years prior to our daughter's wedding. We worked with Vickie who is amazing. She knows her job, very professional and made our reception planning effortless. We also worked with Eileen the day of who also went above and beyond to make our daughter's dream wedding come true. The wait staff very polite and professional and very helpful. They helped us pack up the centerpieces, made sure we were taken care of. We also used the patio as the evening was beautiful.

My husband and I were just married at Bull Valley on 9/19/2015. We had booked this venue a year ago and primarily worked closely with Eileen. Every aspect of our planning was stress free and easy going. The day before the wedding we were able to go in and set up our extra items (memory table, photos, place cards, centerpieces, etc.) so that we didn't have to worry about setting it up the day of the wedding. What a huge relief and help that was!
On our wedding day, we were simply blown away. The setup, the staff, and the overall appearance and ambiance was breathtaking. Every detail was attended to and our night was everything we dreamed of. My daughter had her wedding reception here June 28, 2014. Everything went better than I imagined. Vickie Boysen, Director of Catering, is great at what she does! Knowing Vickie was on top of things made it easy for us to relax and have a great time! The reception was wonderful! Everything went smoothly. The staff was very professional. All I heard from everyone was how nice everything was! The food was delicious!!!! My steak was cooked perfect, one of the best I've ever had (I also heard this from a lot of others). I also heard a lot of raves for the delicious salad.

Vickie Boysen, Director of Catering and Event Sales and staff are beyond professional, knowledgeable, and extended the most gracious and sincere levels of customer service. I went with my daughter and now son-in-law to Bull Valley and were instantly smitten with the beautiful grounds available for the ceremony and gorgeous facility indoors. Vickie was informative and thorough in every way. She was quick to respond by phone or email, in most cases within a few hours, most certainly within the day, when I had a question or concern. We held our wedding on June 21, 2014 and I'm still to receiving phone calls about the amazing service, food and venue! At the last minute due to a storm rolling in Vickie and her staff turned the place around to move the ceremony from outside to inside within 30 minutes! She was calm, organized and prepared in every way. The whole evening went off without a hitch! Bull Valley WILL exceed your expectations, Vickie Boysen WILL exceed your expectations!

My mom and I had gone looking for a place that could hold 180-200 guests as well as accommodate for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. We looked at a number of venues and made our way to Bull Valley. When we walked in I could not leave. I fell in love with the two story chimney, wooden dance floor, ceremony overlooking the pond, and floor to ceiling windows. The following weekend my fiancé came with me to look at a few venues and he had the same reaction as I did to Bull Valley.
We worked closely with Vickie Boysen, the event coordinator for Bull Valley; she helped us put all of our dreams into a fairytale ending. Together we were able to blow away our guests with the views, service, food, and beauty of our wedding. I wish I could plan another event at Bull Valley with how great our experience was.

I got married at Bull Valley on 8.31.13 and we could not be happier with this venue! It is absolutely gorgeous. We booked last year in March but since then, they have only made it more beautiful. They renovated the placed and it is astounding what they did outside for the ceremony area. My husband and I have been to five weddings this year and have never seen a venue quite like this. All of our guests were quite impressed and not to mention, the wedding coordinator, Vickie, is AMAZE! She is so flexible, kind, does everything and anything you want and is just amazing to work with. And worked so well with our crazy groomsmen... ;) The venue was worth every penny and glad we spent the bulk of our money on location, because that you can't cheap out on.. It's tucked away in a gorgeous scenery and is just fabulous place. If I had a complaint at all, and this is being picky, we did not care too much for the carrots that we chose for our sides for dinner. They were hard as a rock and most people did not eat them. Otherwise, food was fabulous and the place is just to die for. I guarantee your guests will LOVE!!!!

They took time out to see what I needed to make this day so special for my sister-in-law. The chef even came to our room and my oldest daughter was complaining that she had nothing to eat. He left and returned with a cup of fruit for her. It was very thoughtful and made the experience even that much better.

My guests were absolutely blown away by the beauty, service, style, and fare that Bull Valley had to offer. We had a perfect wedding and I would not have changed a thing. The wedding planner Vickie was so wonderful and made sure we were taken care of the entire day of our wedding. They really do go above and beyond to make your day perfect. You don't feel like a guest when you are there; you feel like family.

Corey and Bull Valley were AMAZING!!! The day my fiance and I visited Bull Valley to check out the grounds and all they had to offer, we were hooked! We both loved the view and options/flexibility for dining and dancing! Corey worked with us to make sure our day was perfect... Bull Valley Golf Club was an amazing place to have our wedding reception. They were more than we expected. All the staff was very professional and accommodated our every need. The food and atmosphere was AMAZING, and we could not have asked for anything more. We had some guests show up that we were not expecting, BVGC found a place for them to sit and had them served in less than 5 minutes, it was so wonderful. We had compliments from almost every single guest about how wonderful the club and the food was. It was such a beautiful setup. Shica did exactly everything I asked for with my favors and all other items I wanted to setup at the place. We had so many personal touches that she �just took care of�. It was wonderful to not have to worry about anything. We walked in and it looked like a palace. I would recommend BVGC to anyone who asked. We are so fortunate to have had our reception at the most beautiful club on earth!

Our wedding planner Shica Povich was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable and creative. She took care of all of the set-up of our decorations the day before the wedding,and everything looked so beautiful. Any questions or concerns I had She took care of without a problem. The menu was not your typical wedding foods. Each entre was accompanied with sauces, fresh veggies, and fruits. Plus the service was friendly and timely. The Chef did a wonderful job! We had so many compliments from all of our friends and family. We would highly recommend Bull Valley Golf Club to others and use them again in the future. Thank you.

When my husband and I booked Bull Valley Golf Club for our daughter's wedding, Vickie Boysen, Director of Catering and Event Sales told us that the goal at BVGC was to make the wedding day stress-free on the couple and the families. Last weekend Vickie, Eileen, Mark and the entire staff fulfilled that promise. As parents of the bride, my husband and I got to enjoy the wedding just as the other guests did - without a worry about what needed to happen to make this day special for the bride and groom. Eileen was our wedding coordinator for the rehearsal and on the wedding day, and she took care of every detail. My husband had worked with Mark on the wine selections and the drink coordination. Mark and Eileen were there all day on Saturday with Mark staying until the very end and even helping load the car with centerpieces, gifts, etc. The rest of the staff was wonderful and deserve recognition as well. If I had a question or a need, I asked whomever was close by and that person would find the answer or the person who knew the answer. I was never told to go and ask someone else. The dinner serving was quick and courteous and the food was delicious and perfectly prepared (not an easy task when serving over 130 people in a sitting). I could go on and on and list all of the wonderful things that made our daughter and son-in-law's wedding day just perfect, but that would take too long. Suffice to say that we cannot imagine being any happier with any other venue for this important family day. Cheers to Vickie, Eileen, Mark and the staff at Bull Valley Golf Club!

Our wedding was absolutely PERFECT all thanks to Vickie Boysen and Bull Valley Golf Club!!! Our wedding date wAs May 10th and after a crazy weathered winter our day was 73 degrees and sunny! Vickie is so amazing at what she does and after a year of planning our wedding she helped us with everything , any questions or referrals we needed she always was there to help:) Bull Valley is such a gorgeous place to have your wedding, we're very lucky to have had nice weather but there's also a great alternative (if the weather isn't so cooperative) inside in front of the huge glass windows overlooking the beautiful view which is a bonus because a lot of venues don't have this great option! Overall everything and everyone who helped for our special day was awesome and perfect!! Thanks Vickie, staff and Bull Valley Golf Club for making mine and my husbands wedding day absolutely AMAZING AND PERFECT!! Not one complaint:) I will always refer people to get married here!!

Our day was virtually stress-free as our wedding planner, Vickie, handled everything for us. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!!

Bull Valley is gorgeous! Emily Stark is amazing and she was so helpful at making sure that everything was taken care of from our first meeting until the last person left the reception. I would highly recommend BVGC.

The staff members were very supportive and welcoming. On the wedding day every staff member treated our guests with much respect. Shica the wedding coordinators was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would recommend Bull Valley to any bride that is looking for a nice elegant wedding.

Over all excellent job. The venue is beautiful & flows nicely to have both the ceremony, and reception in one place. We received many compliments on how relaxing & beautiful the setting is at Bull Valley. They also only allow one event, so that is nice to be the "Main" and "only" event on your wedding day. One recommendation, since the venue has experience with weddings, is to have more time built in between the ceremony and when dinner is served. The post-ceremony through cake cutting and dinner served is too over scheduled. If we could do it again, we would add more time to the post ceremony and before dinner, and remove that time from dancing (thus making the total venue time remain the same). We wanted to have a receiving line to greet our guests immediately following the ceremony, but were whisked off for photos and then before complete we were told we had 10 minutes before introductions for the bridal party to be seated for dinner. We had 90 guests, so while it is understood that the serving staff needs to serve guests in a timely manner, et.al. ; we needed some flexibility in the schedule as we did not even get to enjoy any of the cocktail time, nor have a reception line as desired.

Everything we could have asked for our big day. Vicki was fantastic! Brittany was clutch, I was so relieved that Vicki had so many great people helping her. Things got a little wild while taking pictures when someone hit the clubhouse while teeing off. (Found out they were not supposed to be playing that hole. Makes for a great story since no one got hit, could have ended very poorly). The venue overall was so great, if I have one suggestion, it would be to change/coverup the giant glass doors that say "members only" it didn't sit right with the wedding.

Vickie and her staff did such a great job with my wedding. There was some management changes about four months prior to my wedding and Vickie was brought in. She was very flexible and understanding that I had been working with a previous wedding coordinator and did such a great job in helping me pull together my vision for my wedding! She has great ideas for the future of Bull Valley and I think the club made such a great decision in hiring her.

My only feedback is that I think Mr. Rabine should order new chairs for the club. I hated the banquet chairs so Vickie helped me get a reasonable price on chiavari chairs and the room looked AMAZING! I believe future brides would really appreciate not having to use chair covers!

I really wanted to have my wedding outside, but having it be in the middle of November, I knew there was a possibility for that not to happen. The Thursday before the wedding we went to the venue to speak with Vickie about having the wedding outside despite a few inches of snow on the ground. Even though it was clear that it would be best to have the wedding inside, Vickie still would have done it outside if that's what I wanted. She and the rest of the staff wanted me to feel comfortable with every single detail about the wedding. They were all so kind and had a true vision for what my day should look like after hearing my ideas. They did everything they could to make everything incredibly beautiful and to make me and my husband happy. I felt like Vickie truly cared about what I wanted despite her doing this hundreds of times. I was sick on the day of the wedding and the staff was so attentive and Hailey was the head of the event on the day and she kept checking in with me to see what I needed and what she could do to ease my anxiety over not being able to be in charge, as I would have liked to be. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue or a more helpful staff. The food was amazing, everything looked gorgeous, and the fact that they had a house next-door as an option for my wedding party made it that much sweeter. Thank you Bull Valley for absolutely everything!!!

Our wedding at Bull Valley couldn't have been more perfect. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and a knowledgeable staff ensures the day goes smoothly. From the food, to the bar to the grounds and service, our wedding day was amazing. Vickie, the club's wedding coordinator, truly makes you feel like you're the only bride for the entire year. My husband and I recently had our wedding at Bull Valley Golf Club, and we were very happy with this venue! Their recent outdoor renovations exceeded our expectations and our outdoor ceremony was beautiful. There is beautiful landscaping and a stone pavilion just outside of the downstairs reception space where we had our ceremony. The new patio space (complete with fire pit!) was perfect for our outdoor cocktail hour. All staff was extremely attentive the day of the wedding and everything ran very smoothly. We received positive feedback on the venue and food from our guests, too.

There were only a few downfalls to booking our wedding at this venue. The planning process was somewhat complicated as the club was in transition with new owners, but everything did work out well in the end. Also, if you enjoy wine you may not appreciate their house selections - $5/bottle Copper Ridge. We ended up supplying our own wine for a ridiculous $15/bottle corking fee.

Overall, we had a beautiful wedding here and the day-of went very smoothly.

I did have an entire review made and published, however Vickie sent me several emails disputing my review. Here is my updated review: I am not trying to discourage anyone from choosing this venue. I am just giving a raw/real review based off of my own experience. BVGC was our first chose always and we in no way regret choosing it. Vickie was our main point of contact and initially we enjoyed talking with her since she was adamant they could accommodate our needs such as obtaining tequila (since they don't normally have it at the club) and allowing our dogs to walk down the aisle. On a positive side Vickie was helpful, made us feel welcomed and answered ALL my annoying emails rather quickly. Originally I had written about the hidden decoration rules however in one of the several emails Vickie sent me after the first review she had mentioned it was normal in the wedding industry. I've never been married so these things didn't in any way seem normal to me. I mentioned them not allowing confetti, glitter decor, no open flames, no tape, no aisle runner, their fire pit is only used for a certain degree outside, and escort cards needing a meal indication. Vickie gave us a HUGE break with pricing, and was very sympathetic to the Covid situation. However, we were never given a new contract and were told we couldn't cancel our wedding and if we did we wouldn't get any money back at all. The day of we hit a few snags to which I put the brunt of my review onto Vickie when it was in fact her entire team that dropped the ball. When we arrived for rehearsal Hayley (the day-of coordinator) stated she wasn't expecting us for another hour and a half. Vickie tried clearing things up in her email after the fact however it made me angrier seeing as Vickie sent a text the Tuesday before to Hayley and that same week on Friday Hayley had no idea what was going on. I will still add the bartender Hector was AWFUL and should not work if he has family issues (which Vickie mentioned one of her several after-the-fact emails). The day of there was nobody to greet us or anywhere to hang the girls dresses, to which Vickie added she mentioned that before we booked. The bridal suite chairs are very old and will ruin dresses if you sit in them since the leather is cracked. Hayley checked in on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. Once again with the communication, Vickie sent over our table chart to Hayley and somehow Hayley lost it and had to ask me about it. When the groom arrived the men were supposed to have 4 buckets of beer and instead got served 4 actual beers. Hayley claimed to my husband she called Vickie herself to sort it out, to which Vickie in her emails afterwards stated that never happened. The ONLY complaint during the wedding was the bartender Hector and his poor attitude. When Hayley was made aware she immediately changed out bartenders. Below is a pros/cons list:

-Service (besides Hector) was AMAZING

-Late night snacks were delicious and a hit

-Vickie being passive aggressive and blaming her entire team even though I'm holding them all accountable for miscommunication
-Bridal Suites furniture
-Hidden Rules -Hector the angry bartender

We chose Bull Valley for our wedding reception only, but not for the ceremony. We were lucky the renovations were completed and they had purchased new chairs for the dining room that looked beautiful. Vickie's referrals were great for the cake and flowers, we did our own music and photographer. The food was great, we received numerous compliments on how delicious it was. Our only complaint is that there were SEVERAL tables that were missing chairs, so we had numerous displaced guests when it was time to eat. We were rushed to get our exact numbers in, due to a staff member vacation, and although I emailed our exact seating arrangement an old one was used so there was a LOT of confusion the day of. Overall, our wedding reception at Bull Valley was fun, beautiful & cost effective.

It was a wonderful venue to hold a wedding. The food was amazing and the site is picturesque. I would do it there all over again if I could!

Bull Valley and the renovations to the outside are beautiful. Our wedding was great, however, we were unhappy with several things. We had to not only switch wedding planners halfway through but the outside was not finished and there was dirt without grass. Also there was a bobcat working until 5 right outside the bridal suit, which is unacceptable. Finally our vendors did not get any food and we paid for meals for them. The sales coordinator did do a nice job and was put in a tough spot having to figure out and fix mistakes that the previous planner made. We appreciate the hard work and she also got us chair covers and table runners last minute, which was amazing. The sales coordinator was flexible and responsive and helping to make the planning easier. We also were able to have someone come and film our wedding, which was really cool. Overall we had a wonderful day and time, thanks!
