  Make an appointment with Brooks Ann now! She is absolutely incredible. I hoped to wear a dress similar to the gown my grandmother wore in 1949, but I couldn't find anything like it in stores. So I contacted Brooks Ann, explained what I wanted, and booked the consultation. She was wonderful--knowledgeable, practical, up front about the process and costs, flexible when it came to the design (we decided I should buy a dress and she would make something to go over it) and excited to help me create my vision! I bought a simple strapless ballgown from a store and Brooks Ann went to work designing and making my "overdress," a sheer, 3/4 sleeve full length "jacket" that would go over my ballgown. She is a great listener, super creative, and so skilled at taking what's in your brain and putting it on paper and then fabric in a way that will actually work! She went above and beyond for me--when we couldn't find a fabric that we loved, she found a custom fabric company and worked with them to create the perfect sheer silk! Her skills are beyond anything I've ever seen. She is a perfectionist, so she will think through absolutely every detail and make sure it's perfect before she lets you take the gown. She even creates a private, personal website about your gown and document the process for you! The multiple fittings were so much fun and ensured that the fit and look was even better than I ever dreamed! I could not be happier with my custom dress!   After spending countless hours looking for dresses online and at stores, I couldn’t understand what was supposed to be so fun about looking for “the perfect dress.” The experience was stressful and impersonal and the dresses lacked the simple, well-made style I was looking for.
  
  I’m so thankful for finding Brooks Ann! Being a part of the creative process of designing my dress was hands down my favorite part of preparing for my wedding. She took so much care and really made sure everything was perfect. She was so personable and a true joy to work with. I felt so special and beautiful on our wedding day and the dress was incredibly comfortable. The biggest compliment I kept getting over and over when people would see me in my dress was, “That dress is SO you!” I am in awe of how she was able to capture all my ideas into one unique and flawless dress. Working with Brooks Ann was a delightful, memorable experience I will always cherish!

  After my first meeting with Brooks Ann, I was sure I had found the right person to partner with for my special outfit. I have never had any custom outfits so I had no idea what to expect. Brooks Ann explained her process with great attention to detail with regard to timing, the effort required from me, and what her deliverables would be. Brooks Ann viewed me and my outfit as a great challenge and was very excited to take me on as a client. Again, I left our first meeting feeling like I had found the perfect person to partner with.
  
  Going thru the design process, Brooks Ann listened to ideas I had, looked at photos of different things I liked, and produced a first drawing of what she had in mind that was "spot on". I couldn't believe how well she understood me and was not trying to fit me into a traditional mold. Her conceptual drawing was perfect! She even included a sketch of my partner in her dress to make sure we would compliment each other on our special day.
  
  Once the actual creation process started, Brooks Ann was amazing. She first created a mock up that we worked with for several weeks. I had lost 30 pounds between fittings and it did not slow her down at all. By the time we reached the final delivery date for my outfit, I had lost 50 pounds. Brooks Ann delivered my outfit on time and it was amazing! I have never felt more dapper, comfortable, and proud than I did when I put on my special outfit on my wedding day. I felt amazing! And the best part, when my partner saw me in the outfit for the first time, she told me I looked beautiful with tears in her eyes:)
  
  There are no words that can fully describe the joy I experienced working with Brooks Ann and wearing her final product on my wedding day. If you ever have the chance to work with this talented, creatively gifted woman, count yourself very lucky. I know I do!

  I could not have been happier about my experience working with Brooks Ann on my mother-of-the-bride dress and jacket. I loved filling out the lengthy questionnaire before we started. It gave me confidence that - even though I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted - Brooks Ann and I would work together to get to that place.
  And boy, did we. This woman is not only a talented designer and consummate seamstress, she also has a deep well of patience and the listening abilities to rival the best psychotherapist. These are all valuable skills when dealing with someone like me with "issues" (shall we say) about body image, and no clear picture of the dress I wanted. What we ended up with was (I cannot say this strongly enough!) abso-positively-lutely the most amazing dress and jacket combo I could have dreamed of. I thought I looked smart, chic, somewhat surprising… and it was all due to Brooks Ann. She is amazing. A total pro. Treat yourself to this experience. It is so worth it.

  I asked Brooks Ann to make a cover-up to wear over my wedding dress. I couldn't resist-- watching her create my mother's dress for my wedding looked like too much fun to miss out! When we first started brainstorming, I wasn't sure what I wanted. Talking to Brooks Ann about the jacket was like talking to an old friend "ooh! wouldn't it be fun if it looked like THIS! Hmmm... maybe it needs a belt..." The whole process was organic, and she responded gamely to all of my requests and changes-of-mind. Her expertise with different types of fabrics and body types was priceless. And I LOVE the finished product. I felt both comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day wearing her beautiful creation. I feel so lucky to have a one-of-a-kind piece from Brooks Ann

  I was fortunate enough to have Brooks Ann create my wedding dress in 2006. Before our work began I searched the stores like all good brides-to-be. There was nothing I could find to fit my style or my body type. Those dresses were made out of polyester blends, so they just hung on my body, didn’t flatter me, and itched a bit.
  
  Then Brooks Ann came along to save me and make my style shine. The motivation for the dress started with a copper and white pearl necklace that my fiancé gave me. We started designing the dress from a style I found online, but changed many elements of it to compliment my body shape and meet our goals of making me a knockout and easy to dance in. I trusted Brooks Ann’s style advice and all of her suggestions added to the dress.
  
  Our fittings were fun, quick and decisive. When it came to my wedding day, Brooks Ann was there helping me get dressed & cinched in. My fiancée was awestruck - just as I wanted! He was so impressed with how the dress brought out the best in me. From our first to our last dance the dress felt great - twirling on cue and never sliding off my shoulders. I would highly recommend Brooks Ann Custom Couture to any lady wanting the perfect dress for their wedding day.

  I wanted a dress that really fit the setting--my parents backyard at the end of summer. I wanted natural fabrics but was still looking for something that felt classy and timeless. Brooks Ann was incredibly knowledgeable and incredibly fun to work with right from the start. She ended up making a dress that spoke exactly to who I was. It was beyond what I “wanted.” It’s a dress that I didn’t even know how to want. But when I tried it on, it was perfect.

When I told her what kind of wedding we were planning and what my style was, it was like she read my mind when she first sketched the dress! We were having a very small garden wedding ceremony with a small dinner to follow at our favorite restaurant. We wanted it to be a casually chic affair that was personal and intimate. So, right away, I knew I did not want a traditional wedding gown. Brooks Ann was wonderful at pulling styles and looks that I loved in order to start the creative process. Her expertise at style and fit was impeccable and even more, she was excited about the idea of the dress from the start! Brooks Ann was very good and striking that balance of suggesting what looks good and staying within the idea of the dress the bride had. That was so refreshing and it reinforced trust in the bride/dressmaker relationship. Brooks Ann is a true professional and her knowledge and craftmanship are amazing. When we were picking out material, I loved that she was so open to alternative fabrics. We went with a luxurious cashmere/wool blend that was perfect for the design.
