Janis was amazing to work with :) she helped keep me organized and had so many awesome suggestions and ideas. Everything was taken care of for us on our day of as well as all the travel was co-ordinated with the travel agent for our destination wedding in Cuba. Janis was so friendly with all our guests and made sure that everyone was taken care of. I would recommend her services to anyone planning a wedding.

We had Janis and her associates provide event planning for our wedding on July 11th 2015, and only have one word to describe her services-AMAZING!!!!

Janis was warm and friendly from the first day we met her, providing a ton of information, options and honesty on the process and vendors, but especially when it came to our budget! From that first day we knew she was our wedding planner! She went several hours in every direction tirelessly searching for our ideal venue and vendors, and gave us the guidance we needed in choosing them with her extensive professional background and experience. Janis was prompt and professional throughout the planning process, with constant contact via text, phone, and personal meetings. The weeks leading up to the wedding she was on top of everything-things we didn't even think of or forgot about. Then the days before the wedding we had a few hiccups with vendors, and Janis was on it responding "no problem" and "I've got it" to everything! On the day of the wedding, she arrived super early to make sure everything was set up and ready to go, and every vendor and activity/scheduled event ran on time, was done to our prior requests/liking, and went off without a hitch! All of our guest had an amazing time at what they have called "the best wedding" they have been to, which was super important to us! They even commented on Janis and her colleagues ability to keep things on time and running perfectly smooth, as well as all the vendors Janis helped us pick out for our special day. We are soooo happy and grateful for her services during our wedding experience and could not have done it without her! Meeting Janis was not only crucial to our big day, but we are so honored to have gained a new friend! A million thanks to Brocade Events!

Janis provided me with everything I needed to plan the most wonderful bridal shower I could have ever dreamed possible for my daughter. If you're still searching for an Event Planner -- look no further! Brocade Events was absolutely the best decision we made in our all of wedding planning! I met with many companies before discovering Brocade Events, and as soon as my husband and I met with Janis - our search ended there on the spot. Janis is so warm and friendly (and filled with a million ideas!) Throughout the whole process, she was so open to and understanding of our needs, and she was always there to offer her own opinions and suggestions. We hired Brocade Events as a "day-of" coordination service for our wedding - but Janis went above and beyond the "day-of." I was in contact with her for weeks before the wedding, whether it was about a logistics question or a timing issue, or even just some old fashioned advice - Janis was always there for me. (She's also very quick when responding to emails!)

From the beginning of our wedding planning, I had a lot of friends/family (including my husband!) who didn't understand why I wanted to hire a wedding coordinator. However, the number of compliments I received about Brocade Events after the wedding was overwhelming. It isn't until you see Janis and her team in action that you can possibly understand just how much work they do. I really have no idea what we would have done without Brocade Events on the wedding day. From setup duties, to coordinating our "first look", to cueing us down the aisle, to kleenex supplier, to organizing alternatives for rainy weather, to dealing with vendor deliveries, and wedding dress stains - Brocade Events helped make my wedding day absolutely perfect.

Since I can be quite a control freak, I loved feeling so confident that I could pass over the control to Janis and her team for the day. Janis is an amazing planner I would have no hair left on my head if it wasn't for her she made sure that our day was perfect our guest are still raving about our wedding and this would not have gone this way if it wasn't for Janis and her amazing staff I recomend her to everyone I know.

She provided us with our "day of" wedding coordination and provided service that was truly above and beyond. Leading up to the wedding she was available for additional consultation and provided a highly detailed itinerary of our day. It was very impressive! She represented us with all of our vendors to ensure our day went smoothly. On the morning of our wedding she sent me a good morning text which really helped me to feel relaxed that she had our day under control. I wanted ourselves and our guests to enjoy our wedding without worrying about the little details. With Janis and her assistant Kim there, every small detail was taken care of. They were quick to listen to any of our concerns about small "glitches" and help find solutions. My cake even went "missing" at one point and I barely blinked an eye because I knew it would be taken care of! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was to work with Brocade Events! Janis and her team made sure our big day ran seamlessly, and our wedding would not have been absolutely perfect if not for them!

We began working with Janis over a year ago, and she always made sure to keep in touch with us and stay informed. We had Brocade Events do our day-of co-ordination, and I just have to say that Janis and her team made our day just that much more amazing! From taking care of the little things, to managing the big things, no detail was too small, and it really allowed us to enjoy our day. Any time something needed to change, they always had a suggestions and a backup plan, and it made making decisions on the fly so easy and seamless. I would definitely recommend the Brocade Events team to friends and family.

I can’t tell you the number of times that I told people before and after our wedding that working with Janis was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding. We connected with her through our dear friends who also used Brocade Events for their day-of coordination. I was lucky enough to watch her in action at their rehearsal and wedding – her poise, professionalism, kindness and calm attitude radiate out of her and put everyone around her at ease. It was a very easy decision to connect with her for our wedding day.

During the months coming up to the wedding, her sweet emails and gentle reminders helped to keep us on track. Her knowledge of everything wedding-related is astounding – from the history of various traditions to great ideas she’s seen before – she was a wonderful resource for us as we approached the big day.

We hired Janis from Brocade Events for full planning for our special day from start to finish. From the moment we met Janis, we knew that she would be the one to keep us on track and ensure our day would be well planned and executed. We were in touch with Janis frequently to ensure we were making our way through the checklists she had provided. She as well relieved a lot of the stress and pressure of the wedding by conducting all necessary inquires with vendors and follow ups. People warned us that on your wedding day there will be so many things that will go wrong and so many hiccups but with Janis there, honestly there was nothing that went wrong and if it did, to this day we do not know about it.  Janis truly made our wedding one of the best weddings many of our guests attended (the best in our eyes) and for this we are forever grateful. Janis and her team from Brocade Events were absolutely phenomenal to work with! We hired Brocade Events for month-before/day-of coordination services, and Janis went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly! From our very first meeting, she was professional, friendly,warm, knowledgeable and so organized! She definitely helped me stay calm as I prepared for our big day. She also provided me with fantastic checklists, suggestions, and tips to keep me on track with planning. On the day of our wedding, she was so helpful with set-up, coordinating with vendors, and making sure that my husband and I were happy and enjoying ourselves. (She even brought an incredible emergency kit, and was on hand with breath mints and water). I would highly recommend Brocade Events to anyone planning a wedding! It may have been that the bridesmaid dresses we ordered came in looking like something that a seventh grade home ec student would have made.Maybe it was a spelling error on our invites, or the fact that a lot
of guests didn't know how to RSVP online and made the assumption they’d be able to just show up for our plated dinner. Could have been the venue flooding one week before the actual day- I never thought our wedding would happen.
The only thing keeping me together was Janis. Not only was Janis able to come up with solutions to each one of my issues in a timely and efficient manner, she did it with compassion and tact (which was
needed in my fragile state). Did I mention that I live in Calgary, Alberta and Janis was in Ontario handling all of these “snags”?
Even though there was a large distance between us, I found Janis to be 100% approachable. We texted, emailed, spoke via phone or Skype on a weekly basis. She provided me with checklists (loved them)
and timelines for my (now) Husband and I to follow. Having that material really helped keep us organized and up-to-date with everything that needed to be completed.
Within hours of finding out we had to find a new venue (in less than a week), Janis had several venues and vendors readily available for us to choose from. It was amazing. By the time she touched down in Calgary (after her plane was hit by lightning and delaying the flight by several hours) she had the new venue/vendors all organized and ready to go for our wedding the next day. On the actual day of the wedding, she was prepared for EVERYTHING- A last minute change with the DJ, my dress ripping and a “runaway” bust line… she had solutions to everything (an extra timeline, a sewing kit and industrial safety pins and baby powder).
I am convinced that our wedding day would not have been what it was without Janis. She is everything and more.

It was absolutely amazing to have the weight of wedding day coordination lifted off our shoulders for the weeks before our wedding and the day of. We learned early on that Janis is the perfect blend of personal & professional! In fact, our friendship didn't stop at the wedding! From her expertise, to her personality we could always count on her. For example, to better accommodate us she scheduled our meetings at a nearby Second Cup. & she was constantly keeping us informed & corresponding with all our vendors during our journey, making sure no detail was overlooked & every person involved fit well with us. Don't even get me started on the awesome Bridal emergency kit she was armed with on the day of! ha Admittedly, our wedding was quite a tall order, having a medieval theme but Janis came through; never compromising on our shared vision & theme. It was especially important for us to be faithful to a budget as well, & Janis tried hard to keep us stubborn folks true to it, haha! She was even a great psychologist when family & nerves kicked in! ;) Our day could not have manifested so flawlessly if it wasn't for all Janis' effort! Brocade Events played such an integral role on my wedding day and leading up to it. I planned my wedding in only 4 months and would not have pulled it off if it wasn't for Janis, whom I met with several times before the big day and who helped me consider all the wedding day options and opened up dialog between my husband and I. Janis was so helpful and her checklists and timing sheets ensured me that the day would go smoothly and even if something wasn't so smooth, I wouldn't hear about it! I could not thank you enough!

Janis and Courtney worked on our wedding. We hired them for "day-of" co-ordination. They were both so helpful (especially with Janis' emergency kit), especially organizing everyone for photographs before the ceremony and timing during the ceremony. I felt as though I did not need to send out a million confirmation emails before the day because Janis had already done it for me! I was very happy I hired Brocade Events.

We hired Janis for "day-of" wedding coordination, but she went above and beyond. In the last month and a half before our wedding Janis really kept us on task and ironed out a lot of nitty gritty details that we didn't really care for. It was great having her there to stress for me! On the day of, Janis was totally prepared for any detail including bottled water (such a lifesaver) while taking our pictures and chalk to "erase" the dirt from my wedding dress. I am so glad that we decided to hire Janis even though our venue came with a coordinator. I would not have wanted to leave all of the detailed plans to chance. Janis was there to make sure everything happened according to plan.
