Ashley, with Broad River Photography photographed my daughter’s wedding and I have nothing but the greatest things to say about her! She was exceptionally easy to work with from the time of booking, throughout the 10 months of planning, all the way to receiving our pictures. There was never a question she couldn’t answer even when it didn’t pertain to photography. She is very knowledgeable in any and all things wedding related. Ashley went out of her way to help my daughter and myself on many occasions throughout the planning process. Since Ashley has so much experience in this field, she was able to give us many great references for other needed vendors. On the day of the wedding, she was there with us all day, capturing every special moment of us getting ready. Ashley has the most fun energy and helped keep us smiling all day. She has a way of making her brides feel like the most beautiful person in the world. Ashley was a huge part of why this day that my daughter and I have dreamed of for years was so special. I can not say enough about how the pictures turned out. She did a phenomenal job! No detail was left out! Ashley caught every tear, every smile & laugh of the day. Looking at the pictures is like watching a movie of our special day and I am eternally thankful for her. In my opinion, there’s not another in the world of photography that compares to her. -

Amazing Photographer!!

Ashley has all the skills and gifts that make an amazing wedding photographer: she’s well-organized, great at time management, and prepared for anything. We had a tight schedule and sometimes had to work with difficult backgrounds, but Ashley didn’t just make it work—she made it look perfect and unhurried. Her bubbly and high-energy personality put everyone at ease, and made it comfortable for us to be ourselves. She gave clear directions without being too pushy or taking away from the moment, and has no trouble directing traffic.
But what makes Ashley a cut above other amazing photographers is her heart for what she does. Photography is about more than beautiful images for Ashley—it’s about the capturing moments where we can see love with our eyes. Her intuition and attention to detail led her to catch so many beautiful "moments in between" that could have easily slipped by in the rush. We’re so thankful that she was our photographer and highly recommend her.
TL;DR: Ashley’s intuition and practical skills combine to make her a phenomenal wedding photographer. Easiest decision of your planning process: Hire her! -

Ashley was the most amazing photographer. I knew from our first phone call that she would make our day absolutely perfect and she did just that. She will be your biggest hype woman throughout the entire process, not to mention how talented she is! Both our engagement and wedding photos turned out better than I could imagine, and on top of that, she had them to us SO fast. Not only is Ashley an amazing photographer, but she generally cares about all of her clients. She thinks about every little detail and has the amazing ability to capture all the emotions of the day. There are so many good things I could say about Ashley and her amazing work. She was so organized and accommodating. We talked multiple times about how I wanted wedding day to run, the pictures I most wanted and every little detail in-between. She even sent me a planner to ensure she captured all the pictures I wanted and with the guests/family I wanted. This made wedding day smooth and when I received the pictures back, all the moments were captures. She was amazing coordinating group shots, family pictures and first looks. Through the chaos of wedding day, she was calm and kept our timeline on track. Her pictures speak for themselves. They are breathtaking. Guests throughout the day came up to me to commend Ashely on how well she was doing and told me how excited they were to see the pictures she took. I am so blessed that Ashley photographed our wedding and recommend her to everyone. My husband and I are planning on taking 1 year anniversary pictures, and we already know who we are going to schedule our session with. She is AMAZING. -

Ashley did a phenomenal job as our photographer for both our wedding and engagement session! My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to document our wedding day. The absolute best
I first met Ashley at my best friend's wedding where I was the Maid of Honor and I immediately fell in love. She is so professional and fun! She will make you feel like a million bucks!
Once I got engaged, Ashley was the first vendor I booked! Ashley took my engagement photos, my bridal photos, and then my wedding. My husband and I are so awkward during photos but somehow Ashley channeled our inner models and my oh my our photos are flawless! -

The best of the best, one of a kind, enthusiastic, talented, personable, and just straight up amazing are only a handful of ways I would describe Ashley at Broad River Photography. Ashley went out of her way to make our wedding day the most magical day of our lives. She wasn’t just a photographer, but quickly felt like a friend who was a part of our wedding party. Fixing my dress, leading us through every part of our day, and encouraging us every step of the way are just a few things that she was able of do for us on our wedding day. She truly made every photo opportunity and extension of our day feel comfortable, natural, and personable. She was never in the way and made sure that we enjoyed every second of our day. There were no awkward, quiet photo moments as she is bubbly and truly a HOOT. Ashley embraced our crazy ideas and always found a way to make our dreams come true. There are no words to express how amazing Ashley is as a person and as a photographer. Absolutely AMAZING!!

Ashley has been amazing from start to finish!
Ashley has been absolutely amazing from the very start! She knows what she’s doing that’s for sure! I went to school for production and design and have worked with the top entertainment company in the world….I say that because I tend to put photographers in the area under a little “test”. I went through 3 “photographers” before I found Ashley.
From our first conversation, I was “talking to talk” to see if she can “walk the walk”. She impressed me from the start (opposed to the other 3 that had a fancy camera but didn’t have the knowledge needed to capture the perfect shot).
I tell Ashley every day that she’s my dream photographer. I could not have imagined a more perfect experience than the one I have had with Ashley! Not only did I score amazing photos that are completely timeless, but I scored a lifelong friendship in Ashley as well!
Trust me, she’s the best there is in this area by far! -

The best you could EVER hope for!
Not only is Ashley’s work to die for, but she is such a beautiful person inside & out! 1. She is AMAZING at what she does. Total professional. I mean just look at her portfolio. She uses natural light and knows what the heck she is doing behind a camera.
2. She is the best HYPE women. She makes you feel like a million bucks and so at ease. My husband and I are not ones to have our pictures taken, but she made it so much fun for the both of us!
3. Her VALUE is unmatched… and believe me I did my research. I probably looked at 50 different photographers on Wedding Wire. The first time I talked to her on the phone, I knew she was who I wanted! She asked all the right questions to learn about us and walked me through everything I need to know.
4. Her ENERGY is contagious. Wedding days are long and tiring but having a photographer that kept us smiling and laughing all night was gift. My family talked about how much they loved her for an hour after she left!

If I could describe Ashley in only one word it would be, exceptional! Ashley was probably my favorite part of my wedding planning. She always went above and beyond for me and my husband. Even if I had an issue that wasn't wedding related, Ashley was there to help. We got to meet her during our engagement session and that was both mine and my husband's first ever experience with taking professional pictures and from the moment we met Ashley, we felt comfortable. It was like meeting up with an old friend for coffee. We talked, laughed, and really got to know each other. The pictures? We. Were. Blown. AWAY! We knew she was good, based on other reviews, but to experience her talents and charm yourself, is indescribable. She makes you feel like the most beautiful person in the world, and then you see the pictures when she is done and you are truly in awe. Our families also couldn't say enough good things about her!
The wedding day she made us and our whole family feel comfortable. She is so easy to talk to and get along with. She was everywhere, and we are still stumped at how she did it! Looking through our gorgeous pictures we found ourselves asking "how was she there, there AND there?" She captured so many incredible moments. Both the "professional" ones and the "casual" ones.
When you hire Ashley you are adding someone to your wedding arsenal that is knowledgable, kind, funny, smart and downright wonderful. If I could give her a billion star rating, I would.
All I can say is WOW. Ashley was absolutely everything and more that I ever could have wanted out of a wedding photographer. She went above and beyond for our engagement pictures, creating a totally unique look that fit both my husband and I, she’s the best hype man that you possibly could find (she even had my husband smiling naturally and enjoying the pictures.. how? Idk), her work is absolutely AMAZING, and she’s affordable. Our wedding day turned out nothing like we had planned. Pouring rain and about an hour and a half later than anticipated. The natural light was 100% gone (like pitch black), the rain and mud were a disaster, but Ashley found a way to make our wedding pictures even better than I could have hoped for. She rolled with the punches and was such a trooper. She helped me stay calm and just worked her magic. She stayed later than she planned and worked her butt off just to make sure we had everything we needed. I honest to goodness could not rate her high enough. If you’re on the hunt for a photographer, HIRE HER, HIRE HER, HIRE HER.

Amazing experience!
Ashley had no idea what she was getting herself into by agreeing to be my daughter’s wedding photographer! During the engagement photo session someone busted out her car window and stole her purse and cell phone. Then my daughter’s wedding was scheduled for 5/30/2020 but Covid had other plans. Ashley was so determined to make Miranda’s wedding experience as normal as possible under the circumstances. She located a very unique and beautiful location for her bridal portraits right in the middle of the shut down! Then when we were forced to reschedule the wedding to a later date on a Friday night Ashley didn’t think twice about it and shifted her schedule to capture the event perfectly! Ashley is the most professional and personable photographer I have ever dealt with. She was so easy to work with and made the photo sessions enjoyable, capturing every tiny detail perfectly. Thank you, Ashley! -

Ashley was phenomenal to work with! I was absolutely blown away by the pictures I received. However, I already knew her pictures were amazing, so it was other things about Ashley that impressed me the most. She has done many weddings and you can tell in her work ethic. The wedding atmosphere can get chaotic and she worked through it with ease capturing each moment I wanted. My wedding was a challenge! The weather did not cooperate so everything got moved inside. I had my heart set on getting some shots outside so without me asking she brought an umbrella, and watched the weather all day for opportunities to go out. She worked In a room full of guests and still got all our family portraits done within 10-15 minutes. She was probably the most efficient person i have met. She got things done quick in chaos, while still remaining calm, smiling, rearranging things quick because of circumstances, and still providing me perfect pictures! You can tell she knows what she’s doing because she acts quick and has a solution for every “bump in the road”. No matter what you can trust you will get quality pictures with her. Her prices are great and very reasonable, she is extremely sociable, and easy to work with. She even shouted compliments at me the whole time I was behind the lense and it loosened me up! She was available anytime I had any questions leading up to the wedding and was extremely easy to get in touch with. Overall, going with Ashley was a great choice because she has mastered her practice as a photographer. Being a photographer is more than just the pictures, it is how you adapt and work in your environment With your client and Ashley has it down pat. -

From the first time we had a phone call conference with Ashley, her energy and passion about her work is evident. From the beginning, she was so helpful and communicative with us; from sending us a "style guide" to help us decide what to wear/what photographs best for our engagement pictures, to working closely and seamlessly with our other wedding vendors before our wedding and on our wedding day to ensure every special moment was captured. For our engagement picture shoot in Charleston, SC, Ashley was such a trooper trekking all over the city with multiple cameras to find various/perfect backdrops, and her enthusiasm never faltered. On our wedding day I didn't have to worry about anything-Ashley was there early as promised to scope out the best spots, worked well with alternating the photo taking between the detail shots, the groomsmen, and the bridal party since we were in the hot SC heat in July! For a bride to not have to give a fleeting thought about whether or not she is getting enough pictures is PRICELESS, especially when there are so many other things you are thinking about on the big day. After the ceremony, when we were mingling with our guests, one of them described her to me as a "photography fairy", and I think that description couldn't be more fitting! She is so enthusiastic, sweet as can be, and has the energy to make you keep smiling throughout the whole photography process (this is coming from someone who doesn't consider herself very photogenic/isn't crazy about having her photos taken). In conclusion, the proof is in the pictures; I guarantee you will have ample beautiful pictures to document the wonderful time in your life that is the wedding process! I am still so thrilled with our entire wedding day and each and every vendor we chose, and Broad River Photography is no exception! -

There are so many reasons why Ashley was the perfect photographer for our wedding day. When we first spoke she was very thorough when wanting to know my vision and expectations for my wedding. She helped me customize my wedding package by offering great advice and helping me to see the benefits of having beautiful pictures to remember forever. At first I didn't see a need for engagement pictures because our engagement was very short. But I am so glad she talked me into it because it was one of our most memorable experiences as a couple in the wedding planning process. It also gave us an opportunity to work with Ashley and get to know her. This brings me to the next thing we loved about her...she has a way of bringing so much joy to your photo session. She has a way of connecting with her customers and making you feel so comfortable in front of a camera (which I have always had a problem with). Sunshine on a Cloudy Day
Took engagements with Ashley and it was the most fun my fiancé and I have ever had! Even though it was misty/ threatening to rain, Ashley was so positive, relaxed, and upbeat. She really got to know us and did her homework on which locations would best suit our vision. We also felt comfortable in front of the camera which speaks VOLUMES about the one behind it! Obviously we had never done a posed shoot before, but she helped us feel relaxed and captured us naturally interacting with each other. -
