Best. Photographer. Ever.

Britt was an absolute dream to work with. We worked with Britt for our wedding in Carmel Valley in early August and an engagement shoot earlier this year. It has taken us a while to write this review because we have found it hard to articulate just how grateful we are to Britt and how wonderful she is. Her professionalism, fun-loving nature and her genuine love of her job shined through every moment that we spent with her. She really knew how to put us (two people who aren't all that comfortable with or experienced at posing for professional photographs) at ease, giving us great instructions that produced fantastic photographs. She was very easy and low-maintenance to work with, which we really appreciated given all of the chaos that wedding planning entails. Also, she expertly navigated a mixed family, providing direction and gentle nudging where needed to make sure that we received a shot of every possible combination of family and friends on our wedding day. Britt made us feel so comfortable just being ourselves during our engagement shoot and our wedding day. We will cherish her photos for the rest of our lives.

Britt is truly the best!

Choosing our wedding photographer was just about as important to us as choosing our wedding date and venue - like any bride and groom, we wanted to have pictures to last a lifetime and allow us to relive our day over and over again, we wanted to feel comfortable and confident with the photographer we chose because she/he would be experiencing the most important day of our lives right along with us, and we wanted to find someone who was able to authentically capture us and our relationship. Britt and her work embody all of these qualities and more - her talent is truly exceptional and she exceeded our expectations in every way. She possesses the perfect balance of being a professional and a friend, being the expert and being open to thoughts and suggestions, and photographing editorial, jaw-dropping moments, while weaving in timeless and traditional shots. Her correspondence and responsiveness was a DREAM, which goes a long way when you're dealing with a ton of different vendors all at once; as any bride/groom know. In addition to our wedding, we had the pleasure of taking our engagement photos with Britt earlier in the year, which I HIGHLY recommend because it helped us get comfortable taking professional photos, it gave us the opportunity to meet and get to know Britt prior to our wedding, and it really made the whole process feel real and magical. Leading-up to our engagement shoot and our wedding, on the day-of, and following, Britt made us feel comfortable, special, confident, and incredibly excited – she was so on top of it every step of the way!! We were truly proud and honored to have Britt…so much so that we hope to have her as our go-to, dedicated photographer for all future milestones to come. We are Britt’s fans for life…and, I promise, you will be, too :).

Unbelievably talented and fun! Britt is unmatched at what she does...

Britt is absolutely, hands down the best! We have recieved so many compliments on our wedding photos, and most importantly she captured our day and our love better than I could have imagined. We had a small winter wedding, and she made everyone feel so comfortable and look beautiful. Trust me, she will exceed your expectations!

Incredibly talented & exceptional photography!!

Britt was absolutely perfect for our wedding. We had a more non-traditional colourful rainbow-themed wedding that Britt captured perfectly from start to finish. Everything was so easy the entire day, even our friends and family were in awe of how easy and quick pictures were. I cannot recommend Britt enough! She was incredible!

A forever happy bride

I'm becoming emotional writing about Brit - she was by far my favorite wedding vendor and I have since recommended her numerous times. From the moment she arrived on my wedding day, my nerves were immediately calmed. Her professionalism is unparalleled, my family and friends were impressed with her speed and ability to move a crowd with ease. I would spend the money over and over again for Brit - she is fun, calming and professional - what more could a nervous bride want? I have her photos all over my home and I love seeing them daily.

Britt's the Best!

Britt was so lovely to work with! She is very talented, and has a beautiful way of framing her shots. We did an engagement shoot with Britt (in our home!) which turned out amazing, and she also shot our rehearsal dinner and wedding. She came highly recommended to us from our planners, and now we see why! Britt is very easy to work with, she has good positive energy, is confident, assertive and kind to everyone. She was never pushy, forceful or rude. She was very receptive to our wants & needs (huge family!) and professional at all times. She remained calm and alert throughout the long wedding day and did not rush us through our photos. I really appreciated her level of care and attention to details. This attention to detail is also evident in her editing. She is thoughtful and doesn't miss a thing! Even with this quality of work, we were impressed with her turn around time... Much quicker than many photographers! Lastly, worth noting, Britt's level of service, care and professionalism extended far after our wedding date. She was so helpful in making sure we could easily download the photos, very communicative and accessible - still to this day! I would highly highly recommend Britt and look forward to working with her again!

Britt not only has an eye to capture the details others may overlook, she puts you at ease the whole time. I distinctly remember her setting up a few shots and thinking to myself that I am no model, this probably looks so awkward and I'm pretty sure I even said it too with a laugh. However, I was pleasantly surprised and glad I just went with it. I fully trusted her throughout the process and the finished photos were nothing short of a dream. In addition to Britt, we had the distinct pleasure of working with Matt as well (dynamic duo!). They work very well together and both have their own creative angle to bring to the day. Their art will become your beautiful collection of still and live memories to reflect back on for years to come.

The moment I met Britt, I became completely at ease and trusted her immediately. Her passion for photography is evident by the way she moves and directs you with the camera. I am someone who has always been uncomfortable in front of the lense and was worried my awkwardness was going to ruin my wedding photos. Oh, and she proved me wrong! Her vision is outstanding! She is smart, quick, and tells you exactly what you need to do to create the most beautiful photos. In addition to her hard work and grace, she truly cares, she is sweet as can be, and knows exactly how to have a good laugh! One thing that I loved about is her that she is very clever... and to me, cleverness is important when it comes to being an artist. My friends and family keep asking me "Who is this incredible photographer?!".
I will always continue to recommend her!

Where do I even start? I really don't know because I don't think there are enough words to explain just how amazing Britt is. Not only is she an extremely talented, creative, and professional photographer, but she is one of the kindest and warmest humans you will meet. From day one, my husband and I were impressed by Britt. Talking to her about our wedding was like talking to a friend. We did both our engagement photos and wedding photos with her and they could not be more beautiful (we just got married on 11/18/17 so we have only seen a few sneak peaks of the wedding day, but they are INSANE!). Britt was honestly such a key part of our wedding day running smoothly. We were having a 3 pm ceremony at the Carmel Mission and even though it was a simple ceremony (lasting about 30 mins.) our reception venue was 20 minutes away with the sun setting at 4:56 pm. Oh, and we were NOT doing a first look. You'd think we were crazy to think we could possibly get all the photos we wanted, but Britt made it work and the best part was we did not feel stressed or rushed at all--I attribute this to Britt being lightening fast and knowing what shot she wants and how to get it. Our second shooter, Matt, was also amazing--my husband told me he and his groomsmen were having a great time with Matt just like the girls and I were loving our time with Britt.

Britt is also very honest and not someone looking to just take your money. When it was time for Britt and Matt to head out (about 40 mins after open dancing had started) I asked if maybe if we should pay for an extra hour. She told me very honestly that she'd be more than happy to but in her opinion, they had all the dance floor photos we needed given that at that point in the night it was going to be the same people on the dance floor being photographed. She was so right and I so appreciated that honesty. I'm running out of space here so I'll just say this--Britt is worth every single penny and more. We adore her!

Brittany was amazing to work with! Her photos are stunning and her personality helps you to feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. We have received SO many compliments on our photos. She has a way of perfectly capturing the emotions of the day in a way that is very natural/candid (which is exactly what I was hoping for). My husband and I did not want to do a "first look" so I was nervous about how much time it would take for us to do all of our couple photos AND to do all the family/bridal party photos, but Brittany has a way of capturing the most beautiful images very quickly. We were so happy that we got to still enjoy most of our cocktail hour and reception. All in all, it was such a great experience working with her and I would highly recommend her.

Britt is fantastic! Her work speaks for itself - she captures stunning images, from the small details, unique lighting shots, incredible candids, and the "must haves". She knows how to direct you for the best poses and backgrounds, and she makes the whole experience relaxed and fun. She works quickly too! When most people wait months for their photos, just days after our ceremony, Britt was already sending us incredible "sneak peak" pics, and within a month, we had the entire album. I am SO happy that we found Britt to take our engagement and wedding photos. Not only did the photos exceed our expectations (she's a PRO with lighting), she was absolutely delightful to work with. Britt wants her clients to feel like they are being photographed by a friend - she took the time to get to know us and made us so comfortable in all of our photos, and made them feel natural vs overly posed. I love all of our photos so much, it's going to be so hard to choose which ones to frame!

We did not have a first look, which I was worried about because it meant we'd have to do pictures after our ceremony, keeping us from our friends and reception. Britt made a point of getting all of the traditional family/couple shots done efficiently so we didn't have to miss too much of the party!

I'm going to miss being in contact with Britt on wedding related topics, but feel like she truly has become a girlfriend that I hope to stay in touch with!

We can't say enough good things about Britt! The images Britt produced were exactly what we wanted and much more. I was looking for a photographer that could capture the moments in between the standard "cheese's!"-- photos of us in action that captured our personalities and emotions. I hired Britt to photograph my September wedding and I could not be more thrilled with the outcome of my photos and the experience overall. The photos that Britt took are out of this world, they look like they belong in Vogue or Vanity Fair. In terms of the quality of her work, Britt is at the top of her game.

In addition to being in love with my wedding photos, I was also very pleased with the entire process of working with Britt. She is very responsive, accomodating, and gets along with EVERYONE. She has a friendly and calm demeanor; she is someone with whom who you will enjoy spending your wedding day.

Lastly, she got our photos back to us lighting fast. I had my entire set photos in my inbox the same day that I returned from my honeymoon!

Britt is incredibly talented, reliable and easy to work with. I would recommend her over and over again.

Britt deserves 5 stars across the board!!!

Long before I was engaged or even with my now husband, I saw photos on Facebook of a mutual friend's wedding that Britt had taken. As a previous wedding coordinator, I have seen and worked with many vendors and photographers, all who have different styles and strong suits. There is something so different about Britt's work though, and it left a lasting impression on me - I knew right then and there that she would be my top pick should that day come. Well, the day came and she was our first vendor we reached out to!

From the start, Britt was just a delight to work with. A completely loving and spirited woman, we went through the proposal stage with ease and had no hesitations to book her. The engagement shoot was our first time meeting Britt in person, and somehow we fell even more in love with her personality. It is not every day that you are asked to get cozy and have a make out session with a camera snapping away nearby. With Britt though, there was not an ounce of awkwardness and we hardly noticed her huge camera lenses! We felt so comfortable and just had fun with it! As a side note, I highly, highly recommend the engagement shoot, just as I would with any client, as a warm up session for the big day. It is the perfect time to get acquainted, familiarize yourselves with being photographed professionally and just get those giddy nerves out. Plus, Britt is just a blast to be around!

When the very anticipated wedding day was finally here, we were just so excited to see Britt again! The day was magical and flew by, as such precious things tend to do. Knowing Britt was there, we were able to really relax knowing she'd be capturing moments during the entire event. Sure enough, the work she shared following that day was absolutely stunning and full of life! We are able to really live that day over and over again through her masterful eyes. Britt is magnificent and extraordinarily talented, you will adore her!!!!!!!

All I can say is HIRE BRITT. She creates those once in a lifetime photos everyone dreams of. My now husband and I chose Britt after checking out her website and thought, no way will our photos look this magical but lets give it a shot. Britt creates absolute magic through the camera. She is so fun and easy to work with, when she's shooting you she creates an effortless comfortable vibe that makes you instantly feel more like good friends rather than a photographer you hired. We did our engagement photos and wedding photography both with her and I couldn't believe how amazing she made us both look. It is more than I could have ever asked for. We were referred to Britt from our wedding planner and it could not have been a more perfect match! My now husband and I were very hesitant to do engagement photos but agreed to do a mini session with Britt so that we could all be comfortable with each other when the wedding day came. There was no awkward poses or forced smiles when shooting with Britt. We had our dog at the engagement shoot with us and simply interacted as we normally would. When we got the photos back we were blown away. Britt captures true emotion and never misses those candid shots that really define the moment. She shot our wedding and rehearsal dinner as well and we were once again obsessed with every single photo. Every single one of our guests commented on how incredible she was and a few of my bridesmaids asked if they could get her for their weddings. What I love most about Britt's photos is that they tell a story. When I look through the photos from our wedding it feels like I'm reliving the whole day. She is everywhere without being in anyone's way and effortless in capturing those moments everyone dreams of. I cannot recommend her enough! I will never use an other photographer again.

I have been following Brittany's photography for years and every image she captures exudes so much emotion, beauty, and elegance. Her sense of style and artistic flair is truly impeccable. My husband and I feel very fortunate to have had Brittany as our wedding photographer in December 2015. We are absolutely in love with our wedding photos. I have never gotten so many compliments in my life. Her images are stunning and working with Brittany is a joy. Choosing Brittany as our wedding photographer was a very wise decision. She is informative, knowledgeable, and patient when it comes to answering all of your questions in a very timely fashion. She puts you at ease with how organized, experienced, and remarkable she is at what she does. I actually met Brittany back when we were teenagers and I always thought she was such a fun-loving, sweet person. When I contacted her about our wedding, I realized that she hasn't changed a bit... still that same remarkable girl from high school. My husband and our families met Brittany for the first time on our wedding day and they were all so impressed by how professional, confident, and efficient she is. She has a way of making everyone feel so comfortable and natural while taking pictures which was unbelievable for me since I usually feel extremely awkward, nervous, stiff, and uncomfortable when anyone is taking my picture. All high resolution fully-edited gorgeous images are given to you to download quickly and easily following your event. I am looking very forward to having Brittany create a photo album of our wedding day as soon as I am able to choose my favorite images which is beyond difficult since I love them all. You honestly could not ask for a better photographer between her breathtaking images and lovely personality. I recommend her to everyone and I look forward to hiring her again in the future for other family events. She is worth every penny!

Britt is an amazing talent. She creates the most beautiful, ethereal photos. She works incredibly quickly and puts all of her subjects at ease. She's extremely professional, personable and responsive. I can't refer her highly enough.

I first met Britt two years ago when she did a boudoir shoot for some friends and I. We had so much fun and her photos were so gorgeous that I had to put a couple on my dating profile. They were effective - I met my husband Ehsan just two weeks later! Of course we asked Britt to photograph our wedding and she did not disappoint. We've just received our photographs and every single one is spectacular. In addition to typical wedding poses, she also captured special little moments and the spirit of the event. She is awesome.

Our photos turned out amazing - we did tons of research to find the perfect photography for our wedding and couldn't be happier that we found Brittany. If you're looking for a photographer who is going to capture your day beautifully then Britt is it!! She did both our engagement shoot and wedding day. She was really easy to work with, super professional, but also very relate-able at the same time. I've had SOOO many people (friends and strangers) ask who our photographer was because everyone loved our pictures!! We received most pictures in both black and white and color versions which totally changes the vibe of each picture which was a nice option. High resolution, fully edited, and you get to keep all the pictures. Turn around time for pictures was prompt. I can't recommend her enough, if you don't hire her, you'll regret it!

I could not have dreamed of a better photographer to capture our engagement session & wedding day. When I was initially doing research on photographers, one of Britt’s photos immediately caught my eye when her work was featured on Style Me Pretty’s Instagram. When I visited her site to get a feel for her photography style, I instantly fell in love. We wanted someone who was creative & artful in their craft, & Britt is just that. Her style is stunning & right up my alley. When I learned that she was based in the Bay Area, & had shot at the location I had in mind for our engagement session, it felt like fate! When we communicated for the first time, I just knew that no other photographer would compare. She’s friendly, bubbly, & admitted that she's a fan of first looks (I’m not either!). She is the sweetest thing, which instantly put my husband & I at ease in what we thought could be an awkward situation (ah yes, the engagement session & dreaded awkward photos). My husband & I never felt like we were posing for photos with Britt, because we were constantly moving and doing our thing. Britt is just that good & FAST at capturing the sweet moments in an elegant way. Whether you’re posing with your fiancé, or with your bridal party on your wedding day, speed is a talent appreciated by all, & I am so impressed by the speed in which Britt can capture that perfect frame/light/moment. Plus, you want to spend as much time soaking up the fun of your big day! When we saw our engagement photos for the first time, we couldn’t get enough! The wedding photos were no different. Not only is Britt quick when she shoots, but I was incredibly surprised by her quick turnaround time given the quality of the photos. She’s a real pro! There is no doubt in my mind that our paths will cross again (hopefully for a family shoot someday!). Choosing Britt for my wedding was the best decision I made for our big day and was definitely worth going over my budget a bit for. I was very picky when it came to choosing a photographer for my wedding but was so glad I took the extra time to find her. Britt was so accomodating and extremely easy to work with. From the initial Q&A phone call, she was extremely helpful in answering all my questions and really working with us to find a package that worked with our budget. We did our engagement pictures as well as wedding photos with her and couldn't be happier with them all. The images turned out gorgeous, the picture taking process was never awkward, and we got our images back shockingly fast. Britt's photos have literally made grown men cry!! This is no joke. They are that beautiful and capture so much emotion. Britt is an EXPERT in the use of natural light in her photos. My husband and I were simply in a field with no props or buildings or backgrounds for both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures, and every picture is unique and different. No gimmicks. No jumping. No canned poses. She lets you be yourselves and will give you slight direction about what may look good in terms of where to look or place a hand. She is absolutely unobtrusive to the couple but also assertive enough with a crowd to get the pictures that YOU want. She is totally efficient with a no fuss approach. She is a very free-spirited, uplifting, nonjudgmental person that completely puts you at ease. And believe me, my husband and I were both terrified of being behind a camera. I never post pictures of myself on social media or even in my home rarely because I typically hate how I look...always thinking that I am so unphotogenic. But I am PROUD to post the pictures that Britt took because of the shots that she captures that are so flattering for both of us. Britt is timely and reliable. There were no bumps along the road with this vendor. She has become a friend, in fact. You will not be disappointed in hiring Britt. Her work on her website was enough to sell me on her, but Britt as a person and an artist is unmatchable as well.

We were beyond pleased with BrittRene Photography and will definitely use her again for future events. She came recommended by a photographer friend who was unable to shoot our wedding date and we couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out. The whole process from start to finish was seamless, professional and highly impressive! Britt was a pleasure to work with and her images speak for themselves. Brittney is professional, talented and truly amazing to work with. When I saw her work online, I fell in love with the way she was able to capture the feeling of a moment. I knew we had to have her so we hired her for our engagement photos in Napa and Wedding in San Diego. It was raining that weekend of our engagement photos but the sun came out for the 2 hours we shot. We were all so committed to getting the perfect shots; we stepped in the cold river and walked through the muddy vineyards. At the end of the day, we would do it all over again for the amazing shots she captured. My fiancé was skeptical of spending a good chunk of wedding budget on our photographer but after he met her and saw these images, he was 100% sure we had made the right decision. The day of our wedding Brittney and her assistant arrived early and started shooting the girls and the guys getting ready; all the moments that we would want to share with each other. There was not a minute or detail she missed through the entire night. We never had to worry if she was getting the shots we wanted. In the end she captured all the precious moments that made our wedding special to us and our guests. The next day as we headed to our honeymoon, she posted a quick teaser which is always fun. Within a week she tagged us in a blog posting that our family and friends ate up! About a month later, we got all our photos along with these great cards that we put in our thank you card so our guests could access all our photos. We continue to get compliments on "our fantastic photographer". One thing that is undeniable is Brittney's talent and this amazing way she works natural light that makes all her work look so soft, warm and beautiful. Aside from her talent, she is so fun and easy to work with that it made as comfortable to shoot with her and let her into our lives. We already know she's the only one that we will want to work with to capture all our future memories.

I found Brittany through an old friend on Facebook who had recently got married. She has posted her wedding photos and I could not stop looking at them over and over. I was in "awe." You know how you go dress shopping for your gown and you find some that are beautiful but somehow just not right? Then you find THE one and you don’t even care about trying another dress on and just want to stay with that one forever? That’s what happened with Britt.

Photography was my top priority in planning and I ended up looking at a lot more photographers than is standard. I found a few whose work was nice, just not what I wanted and I couldn’t get myself to sign on. I just didn’t want overly staged photos with stiff poses and forced smiles. My wedding was supposed to be about the heart-bursting love between my husband-to-be and I. But how do you capture that in a picture? Well, I don’t know but Britt sure does.

We had both an engagement session with her and she shot our wedding. As I’m typing this, I’m getting teary looking at the beautiful prints in my living room. They are such a clear reminder of that swirl of emotions I feel when I look at my husband. I’ve even had strangers tell me how emotionally-connected our photos are.

Britt made us so comfortable in front of the camera (we are usually not) and she’s super fast. Yes, turnaround time but also just taking the pictures. I can’t explain it well except to say that you’ll end up with pictures of some beautiful fleeting moments that you didn’t even realize were happening.

Our traditional pictures are great, our candids are great, and she didn’t miss a single detail that we’d worked so hard on while planning. I can’t say enough good things. Just like my dress, I couldn’t have made a better choice.

The photographer was one of the areas of my wedding that I was most picky about, so I got lots of recommendations from friends. Britt was recommended, and I loved her style and aesthetic right off the bat. I have two pet peeves with wedding photographers: 1. Those who only take grip and grin photos or the staring straight at the camera ones that moms seem to love and 2. Ones who are the opposite of that and seem to think making the "sexy" face in front of a grafitti-ed up trash can is art. Britt, thankfully, is neither of those. Her photos fall right in between where you get plenty of the traditional that you want and need for your wedding, as well as tons of super original and natural photos that are sure to be framers.

We first met Britt at our engagement shoot in San Francisco, and we loved how fun she is and how relaxed she makes you feel. This is a big deal if you or your fiance are not used to being in front of the camera, as your photos will come out so much more natural looking. She has a great concept of lighting and really lets you do your thing while she shoots (while occasionally providing suggestions). We were so happy with how all of our engagement photos turned out that we were even more excited that she was shooting our big day in Napa as well.

So far we have only seen the blog post and a teaser (expecting our photos in a week or so), but we are already in love with them! There is a huge variety and they are all absolutely amazing. I got a few texts while laying on the beach in Mexico on my honeymoon that the blog was up and they were GREAT, so I checked it out and definitely cried I was so happy with them. :)

If you want to look back at your photos and remember how awesome you felt/looked on your wedding day, Britt is your gal! You will be just as happy (if not happier) with how you look in your photos as you did in real life. We've already recommended her to another couple who have used her and they were just as pleased as we were!

Brittany has it all! She has a very warm and engaging personality that makes you feel at ease for your photos. Her prices were outstanding, especially for the techniques she uses and the skill set she brings to the table. She was very flexible in allowing us to pick different venues for our engagement pictures so we weren't just stuck with multiple shots in one location. Most importantly- the finished product is phenomenal. She combines an artistic, candid style with refined technique. So you get a mix of modern, edgy shots and traditional pictures.

Choosing BrittanyRene Photography for my engagement and wedding photos was one of the best decisions I made in planning my wedding. She was extremely professional, easy to contact, has competitive pricing, and most importantly, works magic with the camera! She puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable during the whole process. She is great at getting the "in the moment" pictures and truly captured the essence of my entire wedding day! I am so thankful to her for making the memories of my wedding so special!

Brit did a great job on our engagement photos. She was flexible with the meeting day and they honestly turned out so good. At times it felt a bit posed but none of the photos turned out that way. Brit was also very quick with the photo editing. She was not flexible on her price so get ready to pay top dollar. We are hoping to use her for our wedding as well, we just need to adjust our budget a bit.
