Let's Dance
We were so happy that we chose Jakub to DJ for our reception. He has such a nice, laid-back vibe, but is also super professional. His questionnaire helped us give him a better insight into our music preferences...and WOW did he deliver! We truly had the best night. Can't thank you enough, Jakub! When I heard Let's Dance play, as we welcomed our friends and family onto the dance floor, I was just about as happy as could be! Thank you! -

Beyond thrilled
We are so happy we booked Jakub from Bright Light Entertainment! He was amazing to work with from the start. Our wedding felt so amazing and he played a huge part in that. Energy was great and he really read the room which helped the evening flow smoothly. His equipment was great and sounded perfect. Hiring Jakub was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! He was so easy to talk to and super helpful from our initial phone call through the entire process. We had a few last minute shifts in the schedule for the ceremony and reception and Jakub handled everything seamlessly. We didn’t meet him in person until the day of our wedding, but it instantly felt like we were seeing an old friend. He kept the dance floor full all night, which was really important to me, and even stayed and kept music going for everyone cleaning up after the reception. I truly can’t recommend Bright Light Entertainment enough!! When people say your DJ can make or break your wedding, believe them – and hire Bright Light!Bright Light Entertainment's reply:

We had an absolute blast working with Jakub and he really brought all of our hopes and wishes for our wedding together! In addition to DJ-ing, Jakub also curated a fantastic (and diverse) playlist of music and hosted karaoke at our wedding. Karaoke is a big part of what brought us together with our friends and needless to say, it was a blast at our wedding! Jakub was incredibly well-organized and receptive throughout the planning process of our wedding. He sent over a document to us so we could plan out everything that Jakub would need to know about, such as emcee responsibilities, music that we wanted to have played at different times throughout the reception, karaoke list, etc. We also worked with Jakub by putting together a list of songs that both my partner and I liked for dancing and a list of songs for karaoke. When it comes to music, our tastes are very eclectic, from dance/electronic music from Giorgio Moroder, to ska, to punk, to reggae, to 70s disco. Jakub was very creative and put together a fantastic playlist of music for dancing and karaoke! Seriously, Jakub has some amazing DJ and remix skills! Jakub knew exactly how to get things set-up at our venue (The Farm: a gathering place) and was very efficient throughout the evening. We so enjoyed working with him and recommend him to everyone! Thank you, Jakub! We had such a wonderful and memorable evening (and all of our friends had the best time doing karaoke!). -

I am super happy we found Jakub as our DJ. He was so easy to work with. I had no idea what I was doing with all the wedding stuff and he made his side super simple for us. We had Chris at our wedding but talked to both Chris and Jakub throughout the planning process. Both of them were super communicative, and listened to what we wanted. Chris did an amazing job getting our vibe and desired feel for our wedding. I was nervous, because it's hard to give a "vibe" and hope somebody gets it, but he completely understood the assignment! The pre-ceremony, cocktail, and dinner music was beautiful, and the reception was an absolute blast! Young and old were on the dance floor the whole time! Fantastic- danced all night
Jakub was so wonderful to talk to! He was very responsive and great to work with. The dance floor was full the entire reception and all my guests have said the wedding was fun and that the music was perfect! He was very flexible during the reception as to when events happened such as cake cutting and bouquet toss. During dinner the music was perfect for talking and having the kids play. -

Bright Light Entertainment did an excellent job for our wedding. They were able to accommodate multiple requests, which included extra microphones and stereo equipment for singers and musicians. They also had different areas set up for music, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The music selection was excellent. We mostly played Hip Hop and R&B and Jakub absolutely crushed it! We were able to choose our favorite songs, which we heard, loved, and appreciated. The best part about the night was how Jakub could feel the crowd and keep the party going! No one wanted to stop dancing! I highly recommend their services! 10/10!!! -

We absolutely loved having Jakub as our DJ for our vow renewal ceremony and reception this year! He made the process simple and seamless. Even with a last minute change from indoor to outdoor,, was handled so professionally. Guests were loving the song choices for the entirety of the event and made so many positive comments. My husband and I loved working with Jakub from Bright Light Entertainment so much! Leading up to our wedding, he was super attentive and always willing to jump on a call to touch base and make any last-minute changes. We were literally changing songs the night before!
During our reception, he created such a fun atmosphere. All of our guests were dancing all night and he really seemed to get our taste in music and find gems to make sure everyone felt like there was a song they wanted to dance to.
After the night was over, Jakub was even generous enough to give us a ride to the local bar! He's such an amazing person to work with and I would recommend him to anyone!

My mother and I (bride) were concerned in hiring a DJ that would be able to accommodate my wedding guest demographic (mid 20's - late 70's adults) by playing appropriate music and being a crowd-pleaser. Needless to say, Chris was very responsive, understanding, detailed, and confident that the dancing and sound systems would all go according to plan. Chris followed exactly as I requested in terms of genre, clean songs (for the older crowd) and classic songs that everyone loves! The price was reasonable and even the catering waiters at my wedding were dancing along with the music, complimenting the playlist, and asking me where they could find the music Chris played. I gave all credit to Chris being able to "read the room" and curate songs based of my requested genre and crowd demographic.
If you get Chris as your DJ, you will not be disappointed!!! -

Words cannot express how grateful we are to Jakub and Bright Light Entertainment! After our first DJ had to unfortunately pull out of our wedding due to COVID (we got married back in August), our venue highly recommended Jakub. To say he came to the rescue was an understatement! With just several weeks before our wedding, he was able to accommodate our wedding day and was such a joy to work with during the very quick planning process. He blew us away on our wedding day. He has such a great, fun personality and kept the party going all night long. All our guests commented on how fun the music selection was – he even played Space Jam which was a crowd favorite! There wasn’t a dull moment on the dance floor and that’s due to Jakub – he really can judge the feel of the party and keep the reception lively. I’ll recommend his services any day! My only regret is that we didn't hire Bright Light Entertainment from the start and got to know Jakub better. -

Jakub was great to work with. We had a small guest list, but wanted it to feel like a huge gathering. The music and uplighting at our wedding was fantastic and far surpassed what we envisioned. He handled the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception beautifully (even with our out-of-the-norm music requests). We, and our guests, had a blast! There was a great range of music to please everyone, and the videos of our guests singing along and partying are epic. I can't imagine our wedding day any other way. Honestly, I never expected to be overly impressed with a DJ at my Wedding. I knew I didn't want the cheesy guys who sound like they are on a radio station, and I also knew I didn't want the other extreme -- someone who never speaks and forgets that they are actually the host of the evening while running a spotify list in the background. What I didn't expect was someone who guests would still be talking about nearly 3 months later.
Jakub is professional yet friendly, and will take as much or as little of the reigns as you would like. When the bridal party hadn't yet finished their processional, he quickly began to reply their song so that there was no awkward silence -- as if it was planned that way. He also humored my Gilmore Girls inner super-fan and agreed to play the theme song as my husband and I walked down the aisle - SO FUN. Jakub ensured the bridal party (who he had to corral!) was lining up correctly before entering the reception and was informing them of what to do/where to go/etc. He had printed out the entire schedule I had filled in for him (an amazing google doc that he made which helps you think of EVERY SINGLE MOMENT and sometimes things I didn't even think about making a decision for, such as the song to play while we cut our dessert).
He was extremely accommodating to our unique requests -- allowing a family friend to play guitar during cocktail hour, playing old Jazz CDs that were performed by my Great Uncle during dinner, having another family friend play and sing at the live piano before the blessing, and then handled (with so much class and grace!) several last minute surprise requests that evening including a serenade to me by all of my dad and husband's fraternity brothers followed by a family member singing live while Jakub played the instrumental. No matter what we threw at him, he was game for all of it and did it with a smile! He felt like an extension of our family. We gave him dozens of songs that we love (and a few we didn't) to help him build an idea for what to play during the dance party and boy, does he know how to read a room! At the beginning of the night as guests are finding their groove and confidence, there were a few songs that weren't quite landing with them (that I had requested, lol). Jakub would immediately recognize this and seamlessly transition into a new song keeping the dance floor packed. One guest was requesting a line dance song, and Jakub had noticed that many line dances were on my "do not play" list so before just going for it, he asked my permission which I appreciated so much. He graciously agreed to extend our reception by 30 minutes because none of us wanted the celebration to end. I've never seen a dance floor so full for an entire reception (it even included all of the older crowd...literally no one was going home!!).
The value for what you get with Jakub and his team is off the charts. If I can make one suggestion it would be to book him now before he's gone because you don't want to have your Wedding (or other special event) without Bright Lights Entertainment! Oh, and whatever you do, make sure to add on the light package. TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Epic Dance Party!
Jakub DJed at our wedding and had our dance floor packed the WHOLE night! He's a really nice guy to work with and was a perfect emcee for our big day. His song selection was great and had people- old and young - up and dancing throughout the evening. The gear he brought was first rate and sound quality was amazing. He also miced our ceremony (which was outside) and everything went off without a hitch. We also had a friend perform a song towards the end of our reception and Jakub accommodated her with all of the equipment she needed. Thanks Jakub for bringing the dance party to our wedding - we wouldn't have had it any other way!! -

Jakub and Chris were a pleasure to work with from the time that I booked them. Jakub was quick to respond to any questions that I had prior to booking via email and sent me a DJ checklist that made all of the planning super easy! Chris was the actual DJ for our wedding and he kept us dancing all night. He was dressed to the nines in a suit that coordinated well with our colors. As soon as the dance floor opened, he played a song that would get everyone out there and then he just continually played amazing music all night that kept everyone dancing from the teenagers to the grandparents! Jakub from the beginning was so easy to work with. I had a specific budget and he was very accommodating to my needs which meant the world to me. The process was seamless. He did an excellent job with set up- providing music and mics during the ceremony and then of course entertaining our guests all night. He was able to easily direct the crowd when attention was needed and really trailed my music to my Venue and previous requests even though they may have been a bit electic. Could not have made a better choice!
Jakub was a pleasure to work with in every way. He got a real sense of who we were and what we were looking for in our initial phone conversation and that carried through all our interactions. He suggested using a Spotify playlist - what a great idea! We kept posting songs to it as we came across them, giving him a bigger and better picture of the kind of music we wanted.
Jakub was always responsive to questions and ideas. We worked together on the pre-ceremony music, as well as cocktail hour and dinner background ambiance. He emceed our toasts during dessert, as well as introducing our short live set (my husband's daughter is a professional jazz pianist who accompanied two dear friends in a few songs). And the rest of the evening was a flow of the dance music we wanted. Never was the dance floor empty.
We would recommend Jakub to anyone. Professional, easy-going, competent and fun. We might have to create another celebration soon so we can use his services again! -

DJ Jakub is the absolute best! He is very attentive and accommodating to the music that you as a client want to hear at your event. His DJ Checklist Survey helped us identify the genres of music that we enjoy, artists that we love, and our "must-play" songs for our wedding reception. He delivered on all fronts. Several of our guests commented on what a great job he did and how much fun they had dancing, even weeks after our wedding. He is also a wonderful and kind person to work with. I would highly recommend DJ Jakub! -
