They made my dream dress for my wedding on Sept 18, 2025. I ordered a custom black 2 n 1 ball gown with a cap veil. It was a high low dress with a ball gown skirt.They listened to my vision, mixed with some inspiration photos and created exactly what I was thinking. The sketch and reality was spot on. The dress exceed my expectations. There were people that was skeptical about me having a black dress. The same people were jaw dropped when I came out in this dress. I never thought in a million years I would be wearing the dress I imagine as a young girl. These ladies are talented, gifted, caring , and just wonderful genuine professionals. I highly recommend this company. Don't walk, RUN into their inbox. You will 1,000% not be disappointed. Thank y'all for making my dream come true. -

Manal made the wedding dress of my dreams!! When you're looking for a black wedding dress as a plus-sized person, the market is pretty thin, especially when you can find dresses to fit your vision, but they only go up to a size 16!! But this is where Brides & Tailor excels! I fell in love with a base dress she had already made, but asked to make a small adjustment to the sleeves that turned it into everything I wanted. It was the gothic fairytale princess dress of my dreams, and I felt like the most beautiful bride walking around downtown Detroit. If the hoots and hollers of appreciation from people seeing us going around getting pictures weren’t enough to boost my confidence, the pictures themselves represented how much of a goddess I looked like. It was the most magical experience, and Manal was such a gem to work with. -

I contacted Manal pretty close to the wire, after a previous dress I ordered didn’t work out. Thankfully she was able to get me a new dress well ahead of time, and the work was exquisite. Throughout the process I felt like she heard what I wanted without being afraid to give her own input using her knowledge and expertise. I so appreciated her fast work, flexibility, and of course her craftsmanship. I couldn’t have been happier—the dress was just what I wanted. -

From the beginning, Manal’s communication with me was excellent. I was searching for the perfect emerald-green wedding gown to supply my emerald-green wedding. It was so important that I got the correct gown, because for me, my special day had a double meaning as I wanted it to honor the memory of my late grandmother, who always called me Emerald, a legacy which became my pen-name. It was a process to find all of the arrangements that we wanted while trying to stick to the theme. The dress proved to be the most challenging one. I’d searched and searched the internet for just the right dress, but none of the ones I found seemed to fit my vision, which was something subtle, but elegant and beautiful. I wanted one that was traditional but also fit this special theme for me . . .
Then I came across this amazing dress that Brides and Tailor had on their website. I knew from the moment I saw it that it was the right one for me. The price was a little bit steep for us, but honestly- after the fact, and all of the work I saw that was put into it and what a process it is to make, the price seems very reasonable. Fortunately, unbeknownst to me, while I was doing my searches, my sister had decided to make the wedding dress itself her contribution to my wedding. When I found that out, this dress became my reality, and I contacted the company immediately to inquire about it.
From the first point of contact, Manal and her team were absolutely wonderful. They walked me through the process and everything that was involved and patiently answered all of my questions. Not only was their customer service very good, but Manal herself seemed very invested in her work and passionate about it. You can just tell from talking with her that she loves what she does and truly cares about her clients. Looking back on everything, I’m so glad that I chose to make her a part of my wedding, and I can honestly say that she was an integral part of helping to make it become a reality. I’m so happy that I enlisted Brides and Tailor on my team for this very part of my life’s journey.
This day was so special to me in so many ways, and I really did need a whole team to make it real. Not only was it symbolic for me and a tribute to my late grandmother, but my grandmother on my mother’s side- who is of Middle Eastern origins, Chaldean specifically- also had a hand to play in it. She helped me and my mother to plan a Chaldean-American wedding, so that the D.J. would play a variety of cultural, middle-eastern songs and dances as well as American ones. Unbeknownst to me at the time, her contributions to the wedding would be a last and parting gift, as she passed away from cancer a few months later. I will always be grateful to her for helping me to have the Iraqi-American wedding I’d always desired. She was not able to be at the wedding but- sick in her bed with cancer- was at least able to watch it. I am so grateful that she was able to share in the most important experience of my life before she died.
So many memories, contributions, and legacies were captured in the photos and videos taken at the wedding, and I’m grateful beyond words that they will be forever imprinted all around our house. The wedding was everything I needed it to be, and it managed to convey so much in just a few short hours (hours that myself and hopefully everyone who was there will forever remember). We even made the wedding date September 14, as a continued family legacy- my parents and grandparents were married on that same day. In so many ways, despite so many mishaps and faux pas, the wedding tied together so many knots and loose ends. At the center of everything is the amazing dress that helped me to accomplish the exact look I wanted and to step into my fairytale ‘shoes’ so to speak. To any potential brides: if you are searching for just the perfect wedding dress and to enlist a team that will be with you, march with you, and ride it out through the good and rough parts of the trail, reach out to Manal. I promise, you will not be disappointed.
Thanks Manal and everyone else who helped to make my emerald-green wedding happen! I will never forget you or your amazing efforts.

I was excited to learn they also had a dedicated website, which made the ordering process even easier. After I submitted my order details, they reached out to me quickly and kept up great communication throughout the entire process, and regularly sent updates and progress photos, which I really appreciated and felt involved through the whole process! -

The perfect dress designers
I had a complete custom dress made here and I was absolutely speechless. Firstly the process actually went quite a bit quicker than I thought it would due to the type of dress. Communication was top notch. Any question I had was answered and I was kept well informed thru the entire process of my dress being made. I did not have you a typical wedding dress made and I honestly wasn’t sure how achievable my wild ideas were going to be but wow! I am truly amazed at what was done. I sent in a picture of a few dresses that I wanted different parts of pieced together and the dress turned out looking exactly like the picture. If you’re willing to wait the time frame having a dress made here is 100 percent worth it. If you can dream it this girl can do it. I have no doubts. -

Beyond Perfect Wedding Dress!
I had talked myself into just settling for a dress I found in the store. I am so glad I didn't! Instead what I got was an unforgettable, one of a kind, absolutely stunning wedding dress. You cannot go wrong with Brides & Tailor. For the same price you'd pay in store you instead can get a dress tailor made for you and exactly what you're looking for. The process was so simple! The staff was so nice answering any questions I had and were always prompt. The results were even better than I had hoped for. Once I saw photos of this gown, I knew it was the one. I had searched everywhere, tried on countless other dresses, and this one was always on my mind. When I finally reached out to Manal Chams, I was greeted with equal parts kindness and professionalism unmatched. I was worried about not actually being able to go and try it on, (a long with their other gorgeous gowns) with me being so far away. But my worries melted away with reassurance from Manal and the detailed instructions on how to get correct measurements so that they could custom make my gown. They sent a plethora of under bodice colors for me to choose from, and continued to be very communicative throughout the entire process. They even sent pictures when it was done, ramping up my excitement and eagerness to finally get to try it on. When my dress arrived, (within the work week of them finishing it) I was flabbergasted. It was more beautiful than I could have even imagined. It fit like a glove. It was of such refined quality and beauty. I have never and don't think I will ever see another gown so perfect in my entire life. My wedding guests were left feeling the same. Dress of my dreams
My mom told me about their website and I had looked and found a dress I was in love with. I still wanted to shop in person to see if anything caught my eye and I found myself comparing it to the black dress I saw on Brides and Tailor. I didn't even leave the store I went to to try on dresses at before I made the decision of purchasing a dress from them. Let me tell you I was more than impressed with the insane craftsmanship they have. I didn't expect to get my dress so early and even only trying it on the one time I'm in love! Everything fits perfectly not to mention the amount of confidence I have in my dress, I couldn't give this vendor a review that would do them any amount of justice they deserve. I would swear up and down to anyone looking for a dress to go to their website and order something from them. They're communication is very great I never had any worries when it came to getting my dress or if they'd make it fit correctly. So thankful to everyone on their team! -

Where do I even begin? The experience, the lack of stress, the communication, the dress. Everything from start to finish with Manal from Brides and Tailor was an absolute dream.
I have a more alternative style, so I was really stressing about finding a wedding dress that truly felt like ‘me’. I made several appointments in bridal boutiques, tried on countless dresses, and scoured the internet trying to find my dream dress. It felt hopeless at a certain point and I almost settled for something that I didn’t completely love. That’s when I found Brides and Tailor! I ordered a custom sketch and sent in a ton of inspiration pics.
When I got my sketch back, it was as if they had jumped right into my brain and put my vision on paper. I’m even crying right now writing this review! Haha!
Once they started making my dress, the communication from Manal was just astounding. They sent pictures of lace samples to choose from, kept me updated with progress pictures, gave me advice on design choices, accepted my last minute requests with zero hesitation, and even caught a possibly disastrous issue with the measurements that I sent in (but that’s a story for another day).
Now the dress.. omg the dress.. I’m obsessed. My vision was a kind of gothic fairytale. Think the dress that the dark fairy princess wears as she runs through the woods. I wanted sparkles, poof, and a train. And did they deliver!! The dress was so light and easy to wear. Fit completely perfectly, no alterations needed! I had guests at our wedding telling me that they literally gasped as I walked into the ceremony.
If you’ve made it this far, do it. Order the sketch. Get the dress. You won’t regret it a single bit. -

Alternative wedding dress must
The team at Brides and Tailor did an amazing job with my custom alternative wedding dress.
They explained everything in detail, we're willing to work within my budget to provide me with a beautiful dress.
I was looking for a non traditional dress and had been having difficulties finding a dress that met the requirements I was looking for.
Black dresses not being the standard for wedding makes finding them fairly difficult.
Not only was brides and Tailor able to make me a black dress but they were able to complete a custom designwd black and purple dress.
Highly recommend for those who are looking for unusual and unique dresses -

So worth it!
I was so nervous to get a custom made dress doing the whole process online since I'm in a completely different state, but Manal was amazing and sent me pictures at every step without me even asking. She was so good at communicating and sending pictures of different laces and giving her opinions as well. She captured exactly what I wanted from all the sample pictures I sent. When I got the dress in I felt so emotional trying it on because it was exactly what I wanted. I felt like how a bride should feel when she finds her dress and that was a feeling I never got when I was trying on other dresses. I can't recommend them enough! -

The Best!!
Just do it! I know it’s scary – it took me 1 year to pull the trigger (from sketch to purchase). I’m beyond impressed with the final product. Working with Manal and her team was so easy. They guide you and keep you involved the entire time. I had a unique request, and I couldn’t be happier and the price is extremely reasonable especially considering you’re getting a CUSTOM dress! The dress was also completed in the timeframe they gave and I was blown away. I looked into one other dress makers and they told me it would take an entire year at nearly triple the price! -

Phenomenal
Where do I even start! Manal, with Brides & Tailor, was my “Fairy Dress Mother”! After being ghosted by two seamstresses, I was left feeling like the vision for my wedding gown was unobtainable & out of reach. I stumbled across her Instagram and after having the initial consultation, I was encouraged that it was possible.
She made the process seamlessly easy and stress free! (Especially being in two different states) She listened to me and my “wants” and also gave her opinion without overstepping her boundaries or deterring my vision. To the point where I NEVER envisioned myself in a ball gown style of any sort. She sketched the train on my dress and I fell in LOVE! She was SO PLEASANT AND TRULY A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. Her communication throughout the process was phenomenal and the constant updates and picture mail left me at ease during the process.
My gown was finished 5-6 weeks early and was shipped with care. Even with her sending me the final product before shipping, NEVER IN MY LIFE would I have thought the gown would look how it does. The pictures did it NO JUSTICE and it was ABSOLUTELY IMPECCABLE!! She incorporated everything I wanted including detachable train and sleeves! She also added her own little flare by incorporating chocolate beading with the gold! I was brought to tears unboxing it as the details and beading were so intricate and neatly placed/sewn, and the overall quality! I will never have the words to thank her enough!! But I will sing her praises FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!! Not only did she make me feel like the BADDEST MAM-A-JAMA walking the earth on my wedding day but she made me feel AND LOOK like ROYALTY!! The feeling of knowing that I have a ONE OF A KIND DRESS that can’t be duplicated and a gown that will be talked about for YEARS TO COME is AN OUT OF THIS WORLD EXPERIENCE! THANK YOU AGAIN, TO MANAL AND BRIDES & TAILOR, for helping make my special day one to always remember!! -

Let me start out by saying that Manal is such a pleasure working with.
When I first started thinking about wedding gowns, I originally was going to rent one and call it a day. Soon enough after nothing spoke to me, I came across an Etsy page for customized wedding dresses and started brainstorming what I wanted from pieces of dresses I loved. Soon enough, I received a sketch of the most breathtaking dress on the planet and what I had exactly envisioned. I don’t know how Manal does it, but they are a magical human being that every single bride should go to! If you are debating on getting your gown completely customized from scratch, and it be one of a kind, stop and just do it. I cannot believe that the price of the gown and everything was fairly affordable too, probably the same price as purchasing a brand-new gown on the rack and it not being 100% original. I could go on and on about how happy I am with making this decision. I will cherish this gown and make many memories with it for days to come. I cannot wait to share my wedding photos and surprise my soon-to-be husband.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to say enough about Brides and Tailor. I never pictured myself in a white wedding dress and Brides and Tailor gave me my dream black wedding dress with a process that was the most stress free part about planning a wedding. I had to change plans for my dress twice after ordering due to some unforeseen circumstances and without hesitation Manal was there to make it happen. Not only is my dress of the best quality but it also fits perfect which I was not expecting since I had never been there in person and have to have my measurements don’t locally then sent in. Manal was so helpful throughout this whole process, from the initial sketch to the final delivery. I always felt updated and listened to. The dress is stunning. I never imagined I would get my dream wedding dress, but this is it.
The speed with which they worked was so impressive. It seemed like I'd just started the process when Manal let me know they were nearly finished, and for such a quality product, this blows my mind. Initially, I was nervous about buying a dress online, but this fits just like it should and, like I said, stunning. The first words out of my partner's mouth were that it was entirely worth the money.
If I ever need/want a custom dress again, I would definitely use this business. -

Manal was AMAZING!!! I came to her last minute, pretty clueless of what I was looking for, I just knew I wanted a black wedding dress. I only had 3-4 months before my wedding, I couldn’t find anyone that could put my vision to light… She did within minutes of meeting with her, had my dress made and delivered on the exact date she quoted me! I highly recommend going through her and if I ever need another special occasion dress for myself or my girls I will be going through her! 🖤 And her pricing is so affordable for getting a custom made wedding dress!!! -

Dream Dress
Since Covid, I decided to order my wedding dress online. To be honest, I was very worried to purchase my big day outfit without trying on but I found this beautiful dress on Brides&Tailor's Etsy store. Well... when I received my dress, I couldn't stop smiling and didn't want to take it off after I tried on! It was just what I was imagined! I changed few design from the original picture was on etsy store and it was super easy to communicate with the owner Manal. She also sent me a leftover lace fabric so I could add few spots that I wanted to cover little bit more. From the time I sent my measurements to received my dress was about 45 days and which was very fast for a custom dress. I am very happy with Brides&Tailor experience and my beautiful wedding dress!! Thank you so much!! -

Exquisite Work
I can't begin to explain the emotions I had when I was working with Manal and her team! I was so scared to order a dress, I didn't know how to explain my vision, and what if I looked awful when it was finally here. Manal made me feel special and calm. She earned 100% of my trust quickly.
From the original sketch, to fine details, picking out the lace, and talking about exactly what I wanted... The communication was clear, and frequent. When I first saw the photos of the dress, it was even better than I imagined. Once I had it in my hands... I cried. It's perfect. I even bought a veil which I was sure I didn't want. But I'm so glad I got it!
If you want your dream dress to be made with love, quality, and magic... Don't hesitate to reach out to Manal and her team. This dress was 1000 times better than any I've tried on in a store. And I will keep this for the rest of my life.

Working with Manal to create my dream dress has been such a wonderful experience. She was able to help me make some changes to my original design due to a unexpected date change. She was very kind and honest with her opinions on design. When we first met I was a little nervous that I hadn't explained my vision correctly, but when I saw the sketches she sent me I was blown away! It was like she got me! The fabrics used are very high quality, and the bead work is stunning. I would recommend this bridal boutique to anyone! I can't wait to wear my dress!

To put it simply, this was the best decision I ever made for my wedding. I'm a counselor and have always believed in self-advocacy and that the client is their own best expert, not me. Brides & Tailor worked with me in a way that was obvious they also uphold those same values. While they gave me the best guidance and information I could ever need, they still made sure to keep me updated and check with me before making any move. Manal and her team were dedicated to making sure I had my exact vision and they absolutely succeeded. My dress came out exactly the way I had pictured it (better honestly). I would absolutely recommend them to any bride, especially those that are alternative and have unique visions - Manal and her team can absolutely bring it to life.

Manal and her team are amazing. I was initially worried about getting a custom dress without them measuring me because I have problems with conventional dresses fitting well. However, it worked out perfectly. They added a lot of little touches to my dress and it ended up amazing. I can’t wait to wear it soon and show it to everyone! -

It was a pleasure from start to finish to work with Manal on designing my dream dress! I had sent her 3 separate dresses and asked her to combine them all into my dream dress.. but in black! I never had luck finding a black dress that looked bridal... until I met Manal! She put together exactly what I was imagining in my head and it’s made perfectly! She was super sweet, helpful, and very responsive. She made the fear of ordering a wedding dress online completely disappear. The turnaround was insanely fast as well. Prices were extremely reasonable given you’re getting a handmade, one of a kind custom dress. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the customer service and dress I received. Custom Wedding Dress made of DREAMS!
Manal and her team did such a FABULOUS job creating my custom wedding dress and made the entire experience so painstakingly easy!! I was supposed to get married on Halloween (Covid ruining everything), so I didn’t want a traditional white dress and let me tell you it was SO difficult finding a dress I almost gave up the idea of the non-traditional route. But then I found my saving grace, Manal thank you so so much! She paid attention to all the little details I asked for, gave me so many options of fabric colors, lace appliqués, beadings, etc! Also they made me a matching veil for FREE!! Such a sweet little surprise and you can’t beat that for the price! If you are having trouble finding THE dress, look no further and create your own beautiful gown 💕 -

I reached out to Brides & Tailor to get a quote for what my dream dress would cost with them. I was surprised at how affordable the quote was, considering I wanted a ball gown with lots of beading/sequens on the corset and sleeves. After looking at all the other great reviews, I decided to give it a go, and I didn't regret it one bit. Manal was very responsive. She responded to all my emails within a few hours. My dress came in the mail a few days ago, and I LOVED IT. The fabric didn't feel cheap at all, and she was able to replicate what I wanted in a dress. It even came with a detachable petticoat so I could make the dress "poofier" if I wanted to, which I really appreciated. I also ordered my veil from them so it could match my dress. The only thing I would warn you about going into this is being absolutely sure of what you want in a dress. I got my dress about 2 months after I made my down payment, so they obviously work on it very quickly and there isn't much room to change your mind once things get going. I definitely recommend getting your wedding dress from Brides & Tailor!! -

Being a goth punk, finding a dress was a struggle. Being curvy made it even harder. I definitely like to be unique, so I wanted something no one else had. I started searching on Etsy and found Brides & Tailors. They incorporated the 3 dresses I loved into one. When I first tried it on, my fiancé had to make me take it off. The fit was perfect, needing absolutely no alterations. It's the perfect dress for my dream wedding. -

A few months ago, I fell head over heels for a dress that was no longer being made - after searching and searching for other similar options, I decided that I would never get the dress out of my mind and that I needed it to be custom made...that's when I came across Brides & Tailor...and let me tell you, it was by far the best custom experience I've ever had. I was assured that the dress would be made on time (and in fact, it came early!) and that they would do everything in their power to create something beautiful...and wow, is it beautiful! Stunning, custom fitted, and on schedule! Convertible gown with overskirt
DO NOT BE SCARED TO ORDER ONLINE WITH THIS TAILOR! You can get a custom-fitted American made dress that is exactly what you want and half the price of what you buy in a brick and mortar store. I'm like a size 6-8 up top for my chest, but with thick arms, and a size 14 on the bottom. Dress shopping in stores was a nightmare. I wanted a certain amount of pouf but I couldn't spend more than 2 grand. Brides & Tailor provided me with a knee-length ballgown with just the right pouf, customized to my size, with a jacket (not pictured yet), a drop veil, a removable belt (so I can put it on the gown or on the overskirt, whatever's out), and an overskirt beyond floor-length for that dramatic look. I sent her pictures of what I loved on the internet from multiple designs and she put it all together. It's a dream and with the lace-up/corset style back I'll be able to wear the short version again and again! It was so freezing I wore a faux fur jacket out instead but will be showing off the jacket she made and my shorter dress for the family reunion! -

I started working with Manal on my dream wedding gown about a year ago. I was a little apprehensive about having a gown made from states away from me but Manal ensured me I would be a part of the process every step of the way, and I was!
Manal was patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. She helped my dream wedding gown become a reality. From Sketch to shipping the process was nothing short of perfect. I can't wait to wear my gown on my big day. I just know it will blow people away.
The gown is more beautiful than I could've ever imagined. It would be difficult if not impossible to find better quality or value than Brides & Tailor.

My experience with Brides and Tailor was a dreamy!! I enjoyed every step of it. I was looking all over the internet for a hijab dress for my wedding and I couldn’t find any place I can trust sells my dream wedding dress, until I found Brides and Tailor I fill in love with Manal’s works and immediately called her to schedule an appointment. She was super nice and very helpful!! I live in Ohio and I was planning to travel to Michigan on weekend Manal had to change her schedule to met with me and my friend! We sat down and discussed every details, she want to know what you want and what makes you happy, she makes sure you know every details! All what I have to do is just tell her what I like and she turn it into reality! I so glad that I trusted her! I can’t describe how gorgeous my dress turns out!! She was supposed to get her wedding dress sewn by a seamstress in Holland, MI but she just sent us a text message explaining that had some family issues on and that she couldn't do the dress on time. Frustrated and overwhelmed, we came over Brides & Tailor while browsing from custom made wedding dresses and we were so pleased with their prompt customer service and attention to details. The wedding dress was finalized within 3 weeks, even less than the time period they usually take. I am really pleased and honored that there is such a quick custom made wedding dress services in Michigan
