  Exceptional service for wedding on 10/13/19

  Ms. Sonia Castleberry exemplifies professionalism. She planned a hair trial date months in advance. She asked meticulous questions about my ideas, hair products, and we brainstormed together in order to select the perfect look. On the day of my wedding, she arrived early and finished at record speed. Additionally, she collaborated with a phenomenal make up artist that made my day unforgettable for my mom, bridesmaids, and myself. We all looked flawless and the pictures speak for themselves. If you want to look fabulous on your special day, look no further than Sonia and Tatyanna.

  Sonia was absolutely fantastic!
  
  For our initial consultation, she came to my home to do a 'trial' up-do. I described to her what I wanted, and showed her some photos that were close - but not exactly - what I wanted. She understood perfectly what I was looking for, and did it in one try! She took great pictures that day to use for future reference, and we discussed the tiny changes we would make for the actual wedding.
  
  On the big day, Sonia was right on time... but we were running very, very late! She was exceptionally flexible and understanding, and dealt with the issues of a VERY stressed-out bride with incredible professionalism. I can't thank her enough for being a beacon of calm that day! Her sweetness changed the energy in the room. My sister and mother were both thrilled with their hair, and mine came out EXACTLY as I had hoped.
  
  In the hustle and bustle of getting out of that bridal suite and down to the alter, I am afraid I never turned around to take a moment to say "Thank you, Sonia, this is perfect." It really was.
  
  If you are a bride or have a big night or performance planned and you want your hair to look absolutely radiant, call Sonia. You'll be glad you did!

  Brides by Sonia Castleberry was such a pleasure to have style my hair for my wedding. Sonia and her team did an exquisite job on my hair (bride) and my bridal party (matron of honor, bridesmaid, jr. bridesmaid, flower girl, mother of the groom). She was extremely professional and efficient. Her demeanor and professionalism were such a delight on a day which can be very hectic for any bride.

  Personalized, caring, and attention to detail!

  I felt so authentically ME. Sonia and her team took the time to make sure everything was exactly what I wanted. The result was that my bridal party and I were able to feel so beautiful and so ourselves. My makeup and hair stayed put all day and night (from a 10am appointment to a 12:30am end of reception), in 20 degree windy NYC weather. My skin looked moisturized and natural. Nothing looked overly "done up." These ladies know exactly what they are doing, and I would recommend them to everyone!

Sonia arrived on time and kept to the schedule so that everyone was ready on time. She was very professional and a calm and patient presence. My hair stayed secure and beautiful through an outdoor ceremony and hours of dancing. I highly recommend her for any hairstyling needs!

  My Absolute Favorite

  I hired Sonia & Astrid as my wedding day glam squad and boy did they deliver! I was blown away by how beautiful they made all of my bridesmaids and myself look. Everyone was flawless! Sonia was so attentive to my needs and made sure my look would withstand the hours that would pass between my first look photo session and my actual wedding ceremony. Astrid is a doll and I am convinced we have established a friendship based on her personality alone. She is a true artist when it comes to makeup and her aura is radiant. I truly couldn't have found a better team and I am so grateful to them for all of their hard work.

  Sonia is a DOLL!

  Sonia did hair for my bridesmaids at my wedding and each one LOVED their hair! She was funny, thoughtful, and was able to give ideas to those who weren't sure on their hairstyle! She finished everyones hair an hour before the wedding ceremony and everyones hair style stayed intact after the reception! Sonia is a dolL!

I had a great hair trial with her prior to the wedding, and she was able to take that look and apply it perfectly the day of, as well as beautifully style my bridesmaids to look similar but not be too matchy-match. Each hairstyle reflected the personality of the girl, and she took extra care with me to make sure everything was perfect. She was on time to both the trial and the wedding, which is something I value a lot. I would recommend her to any bride a million times over! My original stylist couldn't do my hait because a family matter a month before my wedding and I was scrambling for help to find one with the same quality of skill at the same value. Sonia was that person and more! With such little time to prepare and no time for a trial, I had to put 100% of my trust in her, and she delivered. I and everyone in my wedding party was so pleased with their hair, and the pictures came out gorgeous because of her work. I highly recommend her!

  Sonia and Astrid are the calm in the wedding storm! Weddings are wonderful yet stressful, and Sonia (hair) and her colleague Astrid (make up) did an amazing job. The trial was such a positive experience- they wanted me to look how I wanted to look (some artists can be pushy). The brushes and products were clean, they were super professional, and they were flexible with trying things out to get my look just right. They were on time, they gave goody bags to keep my bridal party and I looking fresh the whole wedding, and they were fast. They did a quick touch up after the ceremony so that I could be all set for the reception. They helped me figure out my hairpiece and it stayed in all night. I cannot recommend them highly enough- my hair and makeup was something I did not have to worry about at my wedding, which was so nice because everyone looked amazing. Thank you so much Sonia and Astrid!

  Trial to Perfection--Customer First Sonia Castleberry Is A Win

  Sonia Castleberry did my daughter's hair for her wedding. She was absolutely amazing. From the moment I inquired about her services she was attentive and accommodating. She provided her with a trial. When my daughter wasn't totally pleased on the first trial she was able to walk her through the process again and offer her another trial and executed it to perfection on the wedding day. That is brilliant customer service. My daughter now wants to book her for any special occasion. I highly recommend Sonia Castleberry.

  I was planning my wedding in a very casual way. The goal was to have a small intimate wedding with great photos to last a life time. I work in the fashion industry and simply asked my co-workers for a make up recommendation. They referred me to someone who was excellent, the makeup artist asked me if i needed someone for hair.
  He gave me Sonia Castleberry's information. He said she was professional and great to work with.
  Honestly I called Sonia at the last minute to ask her to accommodate me. I was very indecisive about what I wanted to do with my hair and very reserved about having someone I never met do my hair. I sent Sonia some pictures of ideas I had, she intern sent some photos of her work. Sonia was very professional in our phone conversations and very patient.
  
  On the day of my weeding I met Sonia for the first time. She was so sweet, so calm, and listened before doing anything. She assured me that she understood my needs and went to work. Sonia was GREAT.
  My wedding day went off without a hitch. Everyone loved my simple and elegant bun.
  I have since taken to follow Sonia on instagram and Facebook to keep to with her work. I hope to have many reasons to use her services in the future.

I first contacted her in the fall to book a trial for my June 8th wedding and she was always responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with throughout the process. The trial went perfectly - she and her makeup artist Astrid were prompt, organized, and worked super well together. They listened to exactly what I wanted and even though I was a little indecisive at times they were always patient and accommodating. I was thrilled with the results and knew that I had made the right decision! On the day of the wedding, they were absolute super stars. They worked so meticulously, skillfully, and efficiently to make sure my mother (who never wears makeup) and two of my bridesmaids had exactly the looks they wanted while sticking to a tight timeline. Then they got started on my hair and makeup, making sure to take the time to understand exactly what I wanted.   Sonia was by my side making sure my hair was perfect in every form, and angle. I had 2 hair changes during my wedding. My first look was old hollywood glam, and the second was up, in a dramatic bouffant. Both looks were to die for. She strived for perfection, and perfection was what I got.   Sonia was by my side making sure my hair was perfect in every form, and angle. I had 2 hair changes during my wedding. My first look was old hollywood glam, and the second was up, in a dramatic bouffant. Both looks were to die for. She strived for perfection, and perfection was what I got. My hair was absolutely gorge. Thank you Sonia!!

  Sonia was professional, prompt, and had a lovely demeanor that kept things calm, low-key, and pleasant on the big day. She did a fantastic job on the trial for my hair and was patient with me as I requested what others might consider to be unimportant changes. She clearly took my feedback seriously because on my wedding day she produced the EXACT hairstyle I had dreamed of. I had a trial with somone else before Sonia and had given that person the same exact picture and instructions but only Sonia was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. So many people commented on my hair on my wedding day and people still see my wedding picture and immediately tell me how beautiful my hair looked. Her prices were more than fair given her extensive experience, her incredible skill,and the market in which she works. She did not do a trial with my bridesmaids and on-the-spot exactly reproduced the complex hairstyles they showed her from magazines. We were all impressed with her skill, service, and professionalism. I would strongly recommend her for any bride-to-be.

I'm a photographer and videographer who shoots weddings every weekend, and I met Sonia on a shoot when she was styling the bride's hair I was filming. I fell in love with her work and her personality and was excited to have found someone I could trust to do my hair for my wedding. I wanted a retro, old-Hollywood hairstyle - think a modern Veronica Lake style - and Sonia delivered! Everyone gushed over how awesome my hair was and all the women whose hair she styled at my wedding were thrilled with how their hair turned out. Her grandfather styled the likes of James Brown and so it's definitely in the genes. Not only is she talented, but she is very professional, responsive, accommodating and sweet. You are getting one of the best in the business when you work with Sonia. Thank you so much for helping to make my wedding even more special, Sonia. You rock!

  Talented ladies, amazing experience!

  Sonia and Astrid are the perfect team!I had an early ceremony and they were accommodating, professional and punctual. All of our hair and makeup came out beautiful and lasted throughout the entire day. I received so my compliments throughout the wedding and after. They were really lovely to work with and I would without a doubt hire them for any future occasion

  Amazing wedding hairstylist!

  Sonia did an amazing job. She came early to set up and stayed after to touch up my hair throughout the night! I sent her one inspiration picture and she was able to recreate the look SPOT ON! And we didn’t even have a trial. I would highly recommend Brides by Sonia Castleberry for your big day! ❤️

  Amazing hairstylist and beyond expectations! Sonia definitely knows what she is doing. I definitely made the best decision by hiring her to be the hairstylist of my wedding. Since I decided to make a 1920's wedding theme I wanted it to be the most authentic as possible, and she did a really creative job with everyone.
