A Renewal Dress I’ll Never Forget
When my husband and I decided to renew our vows, I had no idea what I wanted my dress to look like. All I knew was that I wanted something meaningful and different. I cannot recommend Brides by Nona enough! For my daughter’s baptism, I wanted a custom gown that would be truly special, and Nneka and her team delivered beyond my expectations. The gown was a masterpiece—fully encrusted with jewels, beads, and hand-sewn diamonds. It sparkled with every movement and made me feel absolutely radiant.
What’s even more remarkable is that this stunning gown was completed in record time. I only had one fitting, and it fit perfectly; all it needed was a minor hem adjustment. Nneka is an ingenious artist with a meticulous eye for detail. Her talent is unmatched, and her dedication to her craft is evident in every stitch.

Where do I begin.. Nneka and her amazing team are truly a blessing. From the beginning until the end they were phenomenal. As a 2023 Bride from California I’m so glad I’ve chosen Brides By Nona to create my dream wedding dress!!! I shared my ideas and vision with the team and they executed it. When I went to Atlanta for my fitting Nneka was very welcoming, so kind, loving and made me feel very comfortable. She even practiced how I should walk in my wedding dress and where I should position my bouquet when I made my first entrance. Please name one designer you know who does that with their clients? No one except our very own Nneka C. Alexander!!!
Also, I can’t forget about my special angel Lexiee that was sent from God. She flew from Atlanta to California with my dress and attended to me the entire time. She dressed me on my wedding day and made the day so smooth and beautiful! I would highly recommend that all brides add this service to their package because it’s truly worth every single penny.

I contacted bridesbynona two weeks before my wedding in tears after I was disappointed by another designer. Told her that she can simply design any dress for me and that I didn’t care since time wasn’t on our side. I was speechless when I saw the masterpiece digital design she sent to me. It took a while to accept the that fact this new design was going to be MY dress. I am so grateful for Ms. Nneka not only for designing the most amazing dress but for also having a heart of gold. My overall experience with Nona was absolutely amazing, when I first saw her Instagram page I instantly knew I had wanted her to design me a wedding dress. I had actually already said yes to the dress that I picked out in New York, however after making a consultation with Nona immediately after I canceled the purchase. Nona literally brought all my Ideas to life, first with a sketch and then as an actual gown. She not only designed my wedding gown but my reception dress as well and they were equally beautiful. My husband was in tears as he seen me walk down the aisle, our wedding was a month ago and he still talks about the dress daily. Nona is highly professional a sweetheart and she makes you feel very comfortable, this was very important to me because she has designed gown for many celebrity clients. Nona actually was recently in touch with me to help me sell my veil to one of her brides. I could literally go on and on about my experience with Nona but to sum it all up if you’re looking for a Couture gown to wow everyone don’t hesitate to contact her! Where do I begin when it comes to Nneka Alexander (Brides by Nona). I was introduced to Nona by my amazing wedding planner Shollah(uniqueeventsbyshollah) and the experience has been magical. I’m a bride who doesn’t like to follow trends, therefore my wedding dress had to be unique, and boy did she give me unique. My dress is one of a kind that it has been featured in articles, blogs, and global websites in it’s first week. That is because of the visionary that is, Bride by Nona. Just when you think she cannot make a dress more beautiful than the last, she knocks it out of the park with my incredible wedding dress. All this was done during a pandemic 😷. She is a perfectionist and has an impeccable eye like no other. It’s not just about the dress, Nneka actually takes the time to recommend how the bride should be styled from hairstyle, accessories, shoes, to the type of bouquet that will compliment your dress. Which other designer do you know that takes the time to capture the entire look you envisioned for your day?. I booked Brides by Nona in February of this year and shortly after, the pandemic hit and then came the lockdown. My stress levels went through the roof trying to figure out if we would cancel or postpone. Brides by Nona was one of the most understanding and responsive vendors through this trying time. They would always send my fiancé and I updates once a month about the status of things and when they expected to open back up again. Nneka answered all my questions and was always so accessible which helped relieve my stress. When it came to designing my gown I gave her total control and very little guidance...boy did she blow me away! Nneka has a very brilliant mind and can design anything you can think of (honestly, even stuff you didn't think of)! The price tag was out of my budget BUT I quickly raised my budget just because I couldn't see myself in any other design than what Nneka sketched! It was absolutely breathtaking! I would choose Brides by Nona many times over!

The best experience a bride could have! I contacted Brides by NoNA all the way from St. Vincent and The Grenadines. I was VERY skeptical being so far away but after seeing much of their work I decided to give it a shot. I sent an e-mail (still skeptical) and they responded to my e-mail that same day which impressed me! Their e-mail was extremely thorough (which any bride who has used them before can attest to) so I felt a little more comfortable with them. The owner Neka was very professional and accessible whenever I needed her and she is a brilliant designer. She worked with em to understand exactly I was wanted and she brought my vision to life. My dress was perfect in every sense of the word! I cannot brag enough about this company but just give them a try and you will not be disappointed. Everyone at my wedding couldn't stop talking about my dress and they still talk about it! Very, very satisfied bride here!

Working with Nneka and her team was an absolute dream come true! She executed my bridal gown to the fullest. From the first time we met and from all the fabulous gowns she made, I knew I was in good hands.
I came all the way from Brooklyn, NY to work with her in Atlanta. We had three face to face interactions and talked via phone or text as needed. She was patient and made sure to listen to all my request. I wanted a gown that looked different, sexy, couture and elegant all at the same time. She provided me with all the above and more!!! She was an absolute gem & very professional.

Exceptional Couture Wedding Gown
My experience with BridesByNona was nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL. Nneka designed the wedding gown of my dreams and I couldn’t be more happier. She pays close attention to detail by incorporating every single element of what you want in the final dress. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. What meant the most to me is when Nneka said she will make any tweak to my dress until I absolutely fall in love with it and she did not disappoint. My wedding dress fit my body so well everyone kept telling me that it looked like the dress was molded on my body. Dropped in Swarovski crystals she made me feel like a celebrity star out of a magazine and Cinderella all at once and I will never forget that feeling on my wedding day. My dress is a Pnina Tornai inspired dress. I went into Kleinfield in Manhattan, NY. I tried on millions of dresses. I was introduced to her line and I loved the shape and concept but I needed to tweak it to my own liking. I created a vision of what I wanted, setting a “tone” that i felt right for me. I designed the dress and began searching for someone to make it for me. I ran into BridesByNona on IG where I saw the FABULOUS dresses she has made. I sent her pictures of the P. Tornai dress and explained my vision to her. She took note of everything i wanted. I went down to ATL, GA to visit her and took my initial measurements. I remember when she sent me pictures of the dress completed, I honestly stopped and began screaming in place because of excitement. I went down again for a final fitting and the dress was even better in person (even without my hair and makeup done). The best part is, on my wedding day it looked BETTER than before! I also might have been caught up in the moment. She laid heavenly talented hands on my dress. I’m forever grateful. She DELIVERED!!

Nneka is amazing!! I could not find anything I liked in any bridal store. With my body type, the fit was always off and the dresses always lacked something. Best Wedding Gown Designer!
Nneka is a phenomenal wedding gown designer. I was referred to Nneka by a friend who had an amazing experience with Nneka and spoke highly of her level of professionalism. After visiting multiple well known bridal shops in New York City and not finding what I wanted, I decided to contact Nneka for a custom made gown. I was extremely pleased with the final product and would do it all over again.
Nneka was very organized and detail oriented and brought my vision to life. She created my wedding dress as well as my second dress. Both dresses were breathtaking and it was quite obvious that Nneka had spent quite a bit of time with the beading as it was a very intricate design. Not to mention that this was all done within an eight week period during the height of wedding season. No other wedding shop would accommodate me without charging a ridiculously high price. Nneka’s fees were also very reasonable and she is more than willing to work with any budget. My wedding day was perfect and I thank Nneka for all her hard work. I absolutely LOVE my dresses and I would definitely use BridesbyNona in the future!

I can’t even put into words the amazement of my experience with Nneka aka Kaka. From the moment I said YESS!!! to my King, the planning for my dream dress began and Kaka was there to walk me through it regardless of her busy schedule. She collaborated with me to create a wedding dress that was only envisioned or imagined, and she brought it to life. I craved for a classic, graceful, timeless elegance gown and she gave it to me. I had the most beautiful dress ever and it was worth every dime!!!! The dress came out super beautiful than sketched. I felt unquestionably Beautiful, I looked like a million bucks! I was floating on air!!!! I have an appreciation for her meticulous understanding of my desires, and my body type. I had to make sure I had all the time in the world to write this review. I truly believe in sharing spectacular vendors. From the first meeting to the end, Nneka of BBN was absolutely amazing. My first meeting was to discuss and share pictures of what I wanted my dress to look like. She was very humble, genuine, and made me feel comfortable. After visiting several stores to find my wedding dress, I just couldn't find the perfect one, so I knew I had to get a custom gown. Nneka went out of her way to make sure I had everything I wanted and more. The first time I saw my dress, I was speechless because it was even more beautiful than I imagined. Nneka was very understanding, patient and just a pleasure to work with. I love her! Communication is key for me and she kept me informed every step of the way with progress pictures and videos. I showed her my inspirations (and many adjustments here and there) on what vision I had for me wedding gown and she improved on my vision and created an absolute master piece. She executed the wedding dress of my dreams, completely blew me and everybody else away(even strangers on social media). People are still singing praises about my flawless gown until today. From beginning to end, Brides by Nona, was nothing short of amazing! After trying on an endless amount of dresses at numerous boutiques, I was getting discouraged that I would never find the perfect dress for my big day. I found BBN on instagram and at first was slightly hesitant to have my dress custom made but from my first phone conversation with the designer, I knew I had made the right decision. I showed Nneka "inspiration" photos of what I was looking for and when she said, "I envision you not only sparkling but floating on a cloud," I knew we were on the same page. I had one consultation with Nneka in which we went over all my needs for my two gowns and then the next time I made it to Atlanta was to try them on. My main requests were that 1: my wedding gown would take everyones breath away when I walked into the room and 2: that my second dress make me look like a royal queen!
When I arrived in Atlanta for my fitting, Nneka had not only honored my requests but she had gone above and beyond!!! The gowns were breathtaking!!!! My wedding gown fit like a glove, sparkled to no end, and the skirt was to die for! The dress was EVERYTHING I envisioned and more. My second gown was equally as gorgeous with a multitude of hand sewn flowers and a train fit for a queen!
I made no mistake in choosing Nneka. She was professional and very attentive to my likes/disikes. She always gave me her expert opinions but was never overbearing! She is the one of the few vendors I worked with that kept me calm throughout the process. Thank you Nneka for all that you did to make me feel so beautiful on the most important days of my life. i met Nona at a ups store, after conversing with her she offered to do my dress for free. I'm a quadripeligic who's paralyzed from the chest down. She did the dress the exact way I wanted it. It was phenomenal she had to hand dye the beads by hand and hand stitch everyone on the dress. Not only was the dress handled with care but so wAs I. She had a makeup artist and even bought me a wig . She was 10 stars out of 10

This is by far the best service i got for my Wedding. Brides By Nona made my wedding dress and also my bridesmaid and MOH dresses. My dress was Exquisite. She paid attention to details and made sure i was taken through each step of creating my dream dress. She was very professional and responded to question/concerns on timely manner. Her prices on dresses are quite reasonable as well. 1 month later, and I'm still getting a lot of compliment about how great my dress was. i am a SUPER satisfied customer and i would refer her over and over and over and over again to anyone. I wanted a beautiful and unique dress that would fit me properly. Being a plus size but NOT wearing the exact sizes in the stores presented a challenge to me. I came across BridesByNona on instagram. Her talent just blew me away and I knew right there I needed her to make my dream wedding dress. Despite the geographical distance (I live in Tanzania) it was still so easy to communicate with her, I emailed her what I wanted sent her my measurements and that was it.
I was pretty nervous as we never met physically for measurement or whatsoever but she kept me so calm and assured me everything will be perfect. God she was right. I received my dress and it is the most beautiful dress I've worn. I never imagined my dress would be this gorgeous. It fits me perfectly. Mind you I'm a very tiny lady :) .and its always a struggle finding an outfit that fits me. I have to make gazillion alterations.
I love everything about my dress, I can not wait to walk down the aisle and marry the most handsome man on earth in my perfect wedding dress.
I thank Nneka for everything, she treated me so well through the whole process. She has become a friend.

Let me start by saying that I had looked at all of the bridal boutiques in my area and in other cities and I was just not loving any of the dresses I tried on. I knew what I wanted and I just needed someone to take my vision and bring it to life. That is exactly what Brides by NoNA did. I found her on Instagram after scavenging all of the bridal forums, every designer's website (and I do mean every designer), and Pinterest. Finally, I decided to take a leap of faith and email Nneka. I was in Kentucky and she was in Atlanta so I was nervous at first that communication about what I wanted would be an issue. I was silly to worry. From our very first meeting to the sketch & production stage, every little detail was so well handled. I'm sure Nneka got a little annoyed with me always emailing her and calling her but she always put my fears to rest. The whole process took a little under 4 months and boy was it worth it!! My wedding dress was all that I had ever dreamed of and more! The amount of detail and sheer artistry that was put into my dress shined through when I wore it! Everyone thought that I had paid $50K or more. For me, the affordability was the best part. We were on a strict budget and I did NOT want to sacrifice in the dress department just to save a few bucks. The dress was so well made that it fit like a glove on the first fitting and I took it with me right then and there. The process was seamless. Thank you Nneka!!! You made my dreams come true!!

I've known Nneka for a long time and as we all know, it's even harder to deal with "family" but she met and exceeded all my expectations! I stumbled across Brides by Nona page on Instagram sometime in early 2014 and i was captivated by her unique designs. Instantly, i fell in love with her designs and i said to myself that, when the right time came, i'd reach out to her to make my wedding dress. My dream was to have a custom made dress for my big day, and Brides By Nona was my one and only choice for a long time, so it was pretty easy reaching out to her when i began planning for my big day. She came up with the most gorgeous dress for my big day which i loved so much. She was patient with me, understanding and very professional. The ease of the entire process from selecting the perfect dress to pick up after complete production was indeed commendable. This shows someone who has a passion for what she's doing. Keep doing what you're doing, the best way to know how to and you'd keep going higher.

Brides by Nona was absolutely fabulous in making the dresses for my friends wedding. She made 6 dresses in 4 weeks, with 5 of the ladies being out of the country. Nneka was professional and honest about her delivery, and the dresses were great. The ladies who were not able to have fitting had to have alterations done, but the dress that Nneka was able to do from start to finish (including fittings) was a perfect fit.

I met bridesbyNona while pregnant knowing that the only way I would look my best on my wedding day is if my gown was custom-made. Nneka immediately put me at ease and told me she would try her best to make the gown of my dreams despite my present condition. Honestly I was already in love with her vast collection on Instagram and I knew that she would would pull off whatever I wanted even though I could not provide her my ideal weight. To say this was not a challenge would be an understatement. I provided my measurements while 8months pregnant using the ideal size I felt I would bounce back to afterwards. In others words I placed all my trust, all my hope in Nneka and I knew she would do whatever she could to help me look my best on my wedding day. Flash forward, I received my dress the week before my wedding and when I say it fits like a glove, it fits like a glove and I really need no alteration. The gown itself is absolutely breathtaking. I never met Nneka but it's as if she knew me, knew my style so much so that the gown fits me and my personality to the T. I would highly recommend any bride out there looking for a gown that firsts their style to give bridesbynona a try. She will exceed your expectation and produce something that looks like it belongs on the cover of Vogue Magazine. I already told her that she is the Elie Saab of Africa as her couture gowns are just as beautiful as any couture designer out there. I love my gown and I can't wait to wear it 4 days.
