Dream gown

The service I received from the team at BRIDALS by Jodi was exceptional. Patient, kind, knowledgeable are the words I would use to describe the team. Their gowns ranged in affordability but there were gorgeous designer options within each range. Their turnaround time was accurate. I went in December 23rd and my dress was ready within the estimated 6 months. There were no surprises which I appreciated.

Wonderful, helpful and kind

I had in my mind a dress and Betsy helped me. She helped me find dresses I liked and reccomended a few, one of which was the one. Highly recommend over any dress shop. I never felt pushed or like I was a chunky girl.

Best dress at best price

I got engaged at the beginning of a pandemic. Lots of fun lol. But Bridals by Jody fit me in to their last possible slot before they closed during quarantine. They found me the perfect dress and I only had to try on 3. Highly recommend them! Great selection, great prices, friendly ladies.

Bridals by Jodi has beautiful and unique dresses

From finding my dress, to ordering it, to alterations, to pick up, it was a great experience. Their alterations team (Stitch Witch), did an amazing job with my dress. I got a discount for buying it that day, and got 1/2 off my veil. The even store it for free until you are ready to pick it up. I know several friends that got their dress there too and were so happy from start to finish. I found the most unique dress but perfect for me. Definitely recommend this shop!

Amazing customer service and Dresses!

I came do Bridals by Jodi just “looking”. I ended up finding my dream dress with there amazing team! Not only did they help me find my dress. They helped my sister in law find hers also! I loved my Morilee dress and even two years of waiting to wear it never once did I have “dress regrets”

Beautiful Bridesmaid Dresses!

I used Bridals by Jodi for my bridesmaid dresses and they were perfect! They have a huge selection of Bill Levkoff with samples in every style to try on! My local bridesmaids all found their dresses there. Betsy was great to work with! The dresses arrived sooner than expected and were of very high quality.

Stunning gowns at reasonable prices

Bridals by Jodi was the first and only bridal shop I went to look for my wedding dress! I worked with Rachel, and she was absolutely fabulous! I found my dream dress within the first 10 dresses I tried on, and the Rachel was the one who pulled my dress of the rack for me to try on! Bridals by Jodi has beautiful dresses with such reasonable prices! The team was personable and a pleasure to work with after buying my dress throughout the alterations process! I would recommend this bridal shop to any bride looking for stunning wedding dresses at reasonable prices. Wedding guests were complimenting how stunning my gown was all night! Thank you Bridals by Jodi for making my wedding dress experience such a memorable one :)

Best Experience For Dress Shopping

I was so happy with the service I received at this bridal shop! I had recently had a bad experience with another shop because my dress budget was not very big. Victoria made me feel welcome and provided much needed feedback about how the dresses looked on me. The entire time I was at this shop I felt like I was important to them. Even the other customers got involved in helping me choose my dress!

My dream dress

My maid of honor and I went in just to look to see what style of dress i wanted for my wedding. With no intent to purchase right then and there but as soon as i put this dress on i knew it was the ONE. The girls there made me feel so comfortable and special as i was going through their inventory. My wedfing was on Friday March 22 and now several days later i have people commenting on how gorgeous it was. Thank you so much!!

INCREDIBLE! I wish I could have that experience 100 times over.

I went into wedding dress shopping with (Relatively) realistic expectations. I knew that my budget was tight; but it was also not unreasonable. So, after my first appointment at another place in town left me feeling deflated (and looked down on), I was so happy to walk into a welcoming atmosphere at Bridals by Jodi... Betsy was an absolute DREAM! I cannot sing her praises enough. She listened to everything my mom and MOH said. But, also made sure that I was always heard. In the end, she helped me decide on an absolutely GORGEOUS gown and was so sweet and complimentary. I would not trade my experience for the world!

Side note, we have called back on several occasions to discuss additional items and Betsy remembered who my mom and I both were and the dress. I know that seems like a small thing. But, I also know how many people walk through those doors. And I'm so impressed with the personal touch each of the ladies seem to have with their clients.

Absolutely perfect dress!

After picking out every dress I thought would look good (and having a terrible experience elsewhere) a friend directed me to Rachel. Rachel kindly picked out some dresses and suggested I give them a try and what a difference. She knew exactly what would look great on my body type and was so kind to help me along the way not only with my dress but other accessory suggestions as well. She was wonderful to work with and even helped deal with my other family members! haha She was the first of my vendors and truly set the tone for an A+ dress experience!!

I went into Bridals by Jodi with a challenging budget (and a fear of personal disappointment when it came to gown shopping) and walked out with an amazing gown I never would have dreamed of finding. I discussed my budget and preferences with Haley and she WORKED MAGIC. She listened to my needs, helped me think outside of the box, and was honest and efficient. The very first gown she pulled out for me to try on was perfect for me. I am so happy and feel like a total rockstar in it! Thank you Haley and Bridals by Jodi!!

I got married Memorial Day weekend and started looking for a wedding gown Summer 2016. One of my Bridesmaids suggested I attend the Morilee trunk show at Bridals by Jodi and coincidentally it was tax free weekend; win-win! My MOH and I made an appointment and I must have tried on about 7 dresses. I fell in love with a gorgeous, ivory MoriLee gown and also purchased a belt and veil. One thing I really liked about BBJ is that they didn’t try and pressure me into purchasing my Bridesmaids dresses there. I had asked about alternatives to David’s Bridal, but once I explained that my 7 Bridesmaids are scattered across 5 states and 2 continents, they agreed DB is the better and more convenient choice for us. That way every Bridesmaid has a chance to try on their dress and order it locally. I loved that! All about what’s best for the customer and not just about sales. It took about 5 months for my dress to come in and due to my hard work in the gym I had lost 18 lbs and 2 dress sizes. The ladies at Bridals by Jodi reassured me they have the best seamstress and Nadia absolutely lived up to her reputation. She took my final measurements about 6 weeks before my wedding and you couldn't even tell the dress was ever touched and it fit like a glove. Perfection! Our wedding was featured on Southern Bride’s Real Weddings and I am so excited for our vendors. They truly deserve it!

After trying on dresses at a few salons in Raleigh and Charleston, Bridals by Jodi was my last stop, and I wish it had been my first. For my style and budget they had so many dresses that I would have loved to wear for my wedding! After going places where I only found one dress, that I kind of liked (but you only need one!), I was so delighted and relieved to have so many good options. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive, but never pushy. After I picked my dream dress, we went back and they helped pick the perfect color and style of bridesmaids dress for my girls! I had a slight challenge with the first seamstress I was paired with through their shop (we had different visions for the alterations of the dress), I contacted the store, they totally understood, and took care of everything to switch me to work with a different seamstress. I would recommend Nadia for alterations, she was very friendly, listened to what I wanted, and did a fantastic job. I recommend Bridals by Jodi to everyone I know!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Bridals by Jodi. The consultant I had, Rachel, was amazing! She went above and beyond for me and genuinly cared. She felt more like a big sister to me helping me through the appointment.
You certainly wont be disappointed coming here!
Oh and just an added bonus, the store has natural light lol not naming names but if you've ever shopped at a place with fluorescents you know the struggle trying to take a bunch of unflattering pictures and trying figure out what color a dress actually is in the daylight.

Betsy was awesome! I had flown to NYC to purchased a dress at Kleinfeld's and with no luck finding anything, on the way home I was looking through a magazine and saw a dress I liked, even though it was not my style. I called the next afternoon and she said they were closing but she would wait for me. She helped me try on every dress in the store until I found the one in the magazine I loved. I just knew it was the dress. During the process, Betsy helped me choose my veil, gave me tips for the bridesmaid dresses and made sure everything was ordered on time and if any problems come about, she took care of it. I really am thankful for her and the shop for making my day less stressful! I highly recommend you!

This team is amazing! When I, my bridal party, officiant, and mom went to look at dresses for the first time, they showed us where everything was and then let us have free reign over the store. However, I asked the employees to help pick out dresses for me to try on, and they very happily joined in on the fun! They were very honest about how the dresses looked on me, which really helped to narrow down what I wanted AND actually was flattering. I found my dress that same day and they were able to have the underlying color changed from white to champagne gold! Their seamstress did an amazing job on both of my dresses ( I had a wedding dress from Bridals by Jodi and a Belle dress-themed off Beauty and the Beast- purchased elsewhere, they she was happy to work on!).

Bridals by Jodi accommodated me by ordering in the sample dress of the gown I wanted to try. I was a very rare bride in that the sample dress I ordered and tried on, was the one. I didn't try any other dresses. Even when my actual dress came in and did not fit, they reassured me that they would get it to fit. With a lot of help and encouragement from the staff, we got the dress to fit. All the staff, especially Betsy, were amazing and helpful!

Bridals by Jodi had a great selection and awesome customer service. Make sure that you make an appointment. I ordered a dress, my veil, and a sash for my wedding gown. I ordered the sash pretty close to my wedding date - it was scheduled to come in a week or two before. The girls at Bridals by Jodi offered to let me borrow the sash at the store if my sash hadn't come in by the time I needed it! That was awesome of them. Luckily, though, it came in the day that I picked up my veil. Go to this vendor! My only complaint is that their alteration services would have cost about $100 more than what I paid in my home town... but maybe that's just Charleston?

I like most brides went to more than one bridal salon, so I can say without question Bridal's by Jodi is on their game. On my initial visit the staff was accommodating and relaxed. I never felt rushed or pushed. The staff was helpful and encouraged me to try on as many dresses as I wanted. They weren't snooty but made the experience fun. I especially appreciated that they are open on Sunday's and later in the evening since I work a full time job and getting to errands in the work week is challenging. I had a few hiccups with my dress (not Bridal's by Jodi's fault) and they helped me navigate them like Pros. I truly felt like their employees cared and made me feel special every time I was there, despite me being just one of the zillion brides they have. Since I'm happily married it feels wrong to say I wish I could do that again, but wedding dress shopping there was the best! I loved my dress, it fit perfectly, and my bridesmaids looked lovely as well :) I also thought that their prices compared to some other shops I went to were very reasonable.

Brittany at Bridals by Jodi was a fantastic saleswoman. She made the appointment entirely about me and finding my dream wedding dress. I never felt like she was just trying to make a sale, but that she was really there to help me find THE DRESS. And, luckily, I did! I bought my wedding dress at Bridals by Jodi and loved them! They made sure I stayed under my budget and showed me a variety of dresses since I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted. I ended up picking a dress I may have not normally even tried on since she recommended I at least try on 1 of every style. They were also very patient with my 3 year old niece who wanted to follow me into the dressing room every time. I absolutely LOVE my dress, and was able to buy a sample dress to save some money. They made the whole process so easy for me and I would definitely recommend them.

I got my wedding dress here. Hayley helped pick it out! I would've never picked this dress, but when I told her I was going for classy yet elegant dress and she grab THE dress!!
They did the alterations from the store, so that made it super easy! They also steamed my dress before I picked it up days before the wedding!

I first encountered Bridals by Jodi at the Southern Bridal Show in August 2015. I only had a few moments and couldn't really stop to chat. About two months later I dropped into the store with my mother and had no plans on purchasing a dress that day. I really was just going to look around. However, none of the dresses I had in my head lived up to the fantasy on the rack. Just before we left, Betsy asked, "If you have a few minutes, I have an idea." I said sure and she went to get a Mori Lee gown that I hadn't previously selected. I had my reservations but I tried it on. Oh my goodness, I fell in love immediately. The gown was so beautiful and it fit amazingly. The gown was strapless and I made a comment that I was a little unsure about that. Again, Betsy said, "I have an idea." She stepped out and came back with some sheer, beaded sleeves off of a different Mori Lee gown. Once we added those sleeves, it was like it was heaven sent. My gown is more than I could have ever dreamed and it is all because of the patience and creativity of Betsy. She is a rock star. All of this took place in a matter of about 25 minutes because I didn't have an appointment and she was willing to fit me in between her scheduled appointments. I would recommend Bridals by Jodi to any bride looking for their gown or for bridesmaid dresses. Betsy made the experience truly memorable for me and my mother.

A few years ago, I had to order a bridesmaid dress from Bridals by Jodi for a friend's wedding. When it came time to find my wedding dress, they were my first (and ended up being my only) stop. Because all of my bridesmaids live 600+ miles away, I did my dress shopping on my own, but I found THE dress in just one hour at Bridals by Jodi. Brittany was absolutely awesome - I told her what I was looking for and she pulled about 10 dresses for me to try on. It was better than having my girlfriends there because she was incredibly knowledgeable about the dresses and was honest with me about how they would look in my actual size. I got SO MANY compliments on my dress and could not be happier with how it turned out!

I chose Bridals by Jodi because I had been dress shopping near home in North Carolina with certain family members, and wanted to include my sister who was living in Charleston at the time. (I also found out they carried Blush by Hailey Paige so I had a good feeling I would find my dress!)

I had a great experience with all of the girl's there while shopping and the communications up until I received my dress. They are so sweet and helpful and don't pressure you at all to buy a dress with them. I was in love with a dress in Charlotte, NC at the time by WToo (Waters) and they were around the same price point. I showed the dress to the girl's working and they admitted it was pretty, too but still didn't try to pressure me into any of the gowns at their store! I think that is great customer service.

I ended up having an emotional moment with mom and my sister when I decided on my dress and they were all so excited for me.

I called several times to ask questions in the 4 month window before my dress arrived and they were so kind and helpful each time.

Four months later I came to pick up my dress and visit my sister again and ended up picking a beautiful veil. I wanted a bridal sash from there too, but will see if it is still in the budget. The dress was in perfect condition, even though I will have to get it altered, and it came with a nice dress bag. They ensured to stuff it with tissue paper after I tried it on to help it keep it's shape.

I am so excited to wear this on 5/28/16 and I'm so impressed with my experience at Jodi Bridal.

Both of my daughters are getting married this year. We made an initial appointment for both girls at the same time to figure out what style each one might be looking for. We expected this to be the first of many trips. It was not. Both of my daughters found an amazing dress that day. One of them knew just what she was looking for and the other had no clue. The staff was amazing. The consultant helped Sarah find just the right dress for her. We have been to the shop many times for fittings, etc. and the staff has always been friendly, helpful and professional. They made us feel so special each time we went in. You could go elsewhere and spend much more money. We were very pleased with the quality of the dresses and the quality of service we received.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Bridals by Jodi. Betsy was my main contact throughout the process and she was absolutely amazing. She made me feel so comfortable at all of my fittings! They recently moved into a beautiful new space in West Ashley, and I would highly recommend any bride trying here first. The prices are also more affordable than some other places I checked out, but I still got a designer dress that was gorgeous.

I can not recommend the ladies at Bridals by Jodi enough. I especially must recommend working with Betsy, Brittany, and Lada. They made each and every visit to the shop an enjoyable one. Wedding planning and dress shopping were a very stressful time for me due to some career changes but every time I went to see these ladies I left happy. I had a difficult time picking a dress and out of every store I visited they made me feel the most sure and helped me to customize my dress to get what I had envisioned. For the quality of dress and selection that they have I felt that their prices were very reasonable. Lada did a fabulous job of making alterations and customizing my dress. I loved working with the women at Bridals by Jodi. We tried on dresses at several vendors in the Charleston area, and they were by far the most knowledgeable and professional. Once we told them color, theme, and price range, they were able to find several styles for us to try and kept us from falling in love with items that were not within those parameters. I can't wait to see my bridesmaids in these beautiful styles!

Our dresses were ordered more 'last minute,' but the store did a great job of rush ordering them, and everything arrived in good condition in a timely manner. I came across Bridals by Jodi in sort of a round about way, but couldn't have been happier that I found them. I found my dream dress at an amazing price! Nicole sold me my dress and was so sweet, patient, and easygoing. I was very pleased with the entire process. Once I found the dress, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to afford a brand new one, and amazingly, didn't need any alterations other than a hem and bustle! They have such beautiful dresses, great staff, and wonderful prices, that I would definitely recommend them to anyone in search of their wedding gown.

Bridals by Jodi was not only the best place I could have asked for in regards to meeting my needs as a bride for my dress, but they truly went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. They helped me find a new dress for my MOH when one of the bridesmaids had an incident with her dress, but they also helped me find a flower girl dress that was PERFECT, when we decided to add one more and didnt have time to order. Bridals by Jodi was the first place I went when looking for wedding dresses. They had a wide selection and were very helpful, and not at all pushy. I felt comfortable the entire time and the sales girl who was helping us was fabulous. Although I ended up going to 2 other places to look at dresses, I did come back at the end of the day to buy my dress.

The dress arrived in a timely manner, however, when I tried it on my mom noticed that the sheath was the wrong color (it came in 3 or 4 different shades). The staff was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue as it appeared that the dress was ordered in the correct color, but the designer sent the wrong color. They were able to get the issue resolved in just a few days.

I did end up using the seamstress that they recommend as she is considered the best, and luckily I ended up with someone else at her shop because she is a little rough to deal with.

I went in, as most girls do, with a picture in my head and list of elements I wanted to my dress to have, and a list of elements I did not want. The girl gladly (and quickly - like she knew where every single dress was) pulled 3 dresses that fit my criteria. And those dresses did not look awesome on me - they did not flatter my figure or frame as I imagined they would. She then knocked on the door to the dressing room and said "I have a dress that has things you don’t want and doesn’t have things you do want, but I think it will look really good on you!" So I gave it a try. And once I got that dress on, I knew... that was MY dress! They kept my dress for me for over a year (I was a get-things-done kind of bride!) and made sure it was steamed and pressed and ready to go the day of my event. I received so many compliments on how gorgeous my dress was... and I owe it all to the assistant at Bridals by Jodi!

Highly recommended! This place truly will give you the undivided attention a bride needs! They pressed and steamed my gown for free the day it arrived, for my bridal pics and the wedding day!! I even got the dress taxed free by paying it off the first week in August during tax free weekend. I was able to order the dress in March and went back to pay it off in August, but wasn't required to pay in full until two months before the wedding day.

Their new store is FANTASTIC! I called last minute on day to try on dresses just for fun and the ladies there were more than happy to accommodate me. I felt like I was the center of attention when I was trying on dresses for my big day. When I tried on the 3rd dress I had realized that I had found it! This was my dress. It was beautiful and I was in tears! I bought my dress right then and there. I loved the gown I purchased from Bridal by Jodi. It was beautiful, affordable, and I did not feel any pressure to buy on my first time trying on dresses at the store. The staff was overall very nice and very helpful. The only complaint I have is that I ordered the sample size I tried on in the store as it fit perfectly. When it came in, it was way too small, and their reasoning was that "someone much larger than me probably tried on the sample size so I should have ordered a size up for it to fit." Well I am not the wedding dress expert so how would I have known that? I ended up having to get several alterations that I wouldn't have needed had they just explained the sample size would fit differently than the brand new dress in the same size. Overall, I loved my dress so I can't complain, it just would have been nice to know that before paying for avoidable alterations!

My dress picked me. It was only the third dress I tried on and I instantly knew it was my dress, but also that it needed just a few changes to make it "me". They helped me make it exactly right. After I found the perfect dress I realized it was nearly $400 cheaper anywhere else but upon telling me this they simply called to confirm and price matched and I was so glad to finish the experience all the way through alterations with them.

I was really nervous about finding a 'plus sized' gown and especially finding a sample that would show me what the dress would really look like. Bridals by Jodi had several different sample sizes but I think they could have more choices. The dress came in exactly when they said it would along with my bridesmaids dresses. they have a seamstress that comes to their shop once a week which was the only thing that wasn't flexible. The seamstress did a great job making my dress fit well and my bridesmaids. She made sure the dress fit the way I wanted it to (I didn't want a really tight fitting dress, just fitted) 1/2 of the bustle did come out of my dress about 1/2 way through the reception and later I looked at the dress and the strings were no longer there but oh well, you only wear it once!

I purchased my dress from Bridals by Jodi and had the best shopping experience. Rachel was amazing, and made the day much more relaxed. I wasn’t a fan of the seamstress when I met her. She seemed pushy and I decided to take my dress elsewhere. That seamstress also disagreed with the seamstress at BBJ. The value of the dress was incredible, but not for alterations.

I had a great experience there! It doesn't look like a lot from the outside, but there's an amazing selection of gowns inside with good prices and attentive employees.

I fell in love with my dress the second I put it on! One of the girls helping put a sash on it because the dress needed a little something and as soon as she did, we were all in love! They gave us $100 off because we bought it the same day I was trying it on, which I felt was a pretty fair deal. I didn't get my veil from there because I felt it was a bit high priced, but they do have a deal on veils, also if you buy your dress from them also. Also, I'm short so I had my veil custom made. I was from out of town, so alterations was a bit of an issue because their seamstress is only there on Tuesdays & Thursdays. This was pretty inconvenient, even for someone working in the area, I thought. Also, my dress needed to be altered again, and I didn't have the time to drive back down to Charleston and take another day from work. I had a local alterations place do it and it was perfect after that - the first set of alterations left the dress a little longer on one side so that I was stepping on it. When I tried it on at the store, the seamstress didn't really pay attention to the dress as I was walking and I didn't feel she made an effort to make sure it was right, especially considering what I was paying for the alterations. However, this does NOT reflect on the staff at Bridals by Jodi - I loved everyone I worked with and they were always very attentive whenever I was there. I would DEFINITELY recommend Bridals By Jodi and their staff... they're very knowledgable! I just wouldn't recommend having the alterations done there unless they change seamstresses.

I found my dream dress here and the girls that helped me were fabulous! My only complaint is that they never called about the MOB's dress to let her know that it came in. When we asked about it, they said that they lost the phone number so couldn't contact her...except we ordered her dress at the same time as my wedding dress...on the same account. They called to let me know about my dress, but not hers...
Other than that, they were very good

I bought my Allure bridal gown from Bridals by Jodi, and it was phenomenal. I was absolutely in love with it. The clerks at the salon were more than helpful, and pulled as many dresses as I wanted to try. And were very understanding when I did not purchase my dress on my first visit. I did not feel pressured into buying the gown; they allowed me to think on it and welcomed me back in the next day when we returned to buy my wedding dress! The only problem I did have, was that I was unsure of dress sizing, and the consultant suggested ordering a size that turned out to be very big on me. (However, this could have been an honest mistake as it as a new gown, and I was between sizes, and the first person to order it in the salon) But I definitely could have ordered a size down and likely would have been able to save a couple of hundreds of dollars on alterations had I done so. However, my dress was altered beautifully by the in-house seamstress, and it looked flawless on my wedding day. So I had no complaints. On a side note, this shop is not geared towards larger women. Almost all of their sample sizes were a size 4, which I found confusing and slightly inconvenient. I am not a large woman, and I still had trouble squeezing into some of the dresses.

Bridal by Jodi has a wonderful staff! They were so helpful with helping me pick my wedding dress! They listened to what I wanted and even provided me with options I didn't know I wanted! The dress I picked was very affordable! They were wonderful and accomodating with my fittings as well!

Bridal by Jodi was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful from the first call I made. They catered to me and my taste and helped me feel comfortable. I went to multiple shops in the Charleston area and this was my favorite! I recommend them to everyone! They helped me stay in. My budget and also offered a free veil with my gown purchase!

I loved everything about the trying on process and the employees that helped in try everything on. They had a beautiful selection of dresses and I found the gown I wanted fairly quickly. Everything was such a wonderful experience except for when my dress came in. I completely understand choosing the size that fits the largest part of your body so that it can be altered in to fit like a glove, but this dress was huge. It wouldn't even stay up and I had gotten breast implants since the time when I was initially sized! I did not lose any weight, and the alterations had to take in over an inch on each side from the top to where it flared out at my hips. I was really angry that I had ordered a dress, waited months, and it was that large. I figured I might need an alteration somewhere but not that much on the entire dress. These girls have been doing this long enough that they should know better than to order me a dress that I am swimming in. Unfortunately there was nothing they could do besides alter it which i shelled out plenty of money for, and I still felt like it didn't look right. I wish I would have gotten a smaller size, it makes me wonder if they do this on purpose for more alteration expenses. I highly suggest trying on your size in your dress of at least with your same designer so you do not make the same mistake I did.

The service was good at Jodi's, but the dress selection was minimal. The dresses also just seemed kind of...dirty, like they had been tried on a bunch. This was the first place that I went, and I was glad I did go here first, because you can at least try on different dresses to get an idea of the style that you like, then move onto other stores that have better quality dresses.

Bridal by Jodi was the first and last place I went to try on wedding dresses. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a little hiccup a few days before the wedding when I went to pick up my dress and it hadn't been steamed yet but they stayed late and had it finished and ready for me the next morning. My overall experience was great here. I would do it all over again.

Not quite the best

Had multiple issues with bridesmaids dresses not coming in at the right size. 3 of 6 required major alterations. Felt the bridal shop could have made more effort to correct situation or better yet have better measurements done.

I had heard wonderful things about Bridal's by Jodi. The day I found my wedding gown was great! Jodi herself took about 2 hours out of her day to help me find the right gown and give me advice and opinions without being pushy. I found a dress I loved, and still do love it!

The trouble started when my dress was to come in. I was supposed to have my dress at the beginning of May. The shop called and said my dress had come in, but they weren't happy with the way it looked so they sent it back to the company. They then told me I should have my dress in about 2 weeks. I didn't receive my dress until mid-June which didn't leave much time at ALL for alterations. The lady who did the alterations was less than friendly to say the least, but did good work. She had to do alterations two times and fix some bead work on the back of the dress that needed fixing. The wrong veil also came in for me, not the one I ordered! However, the accommodated me and let me pick out whatever veil I wanted for my wedding day they had in the store. A lot of this seems to be the places they do business with, but I'm not sure that all the correct information was put in the computer in the first place.

They are very friendly but pretty disorganized. A lot of young girls working there. Their selection is pretty good, and the prices are fair. I would recommend them, but I do hope they get a little more organized. Wedding planning is stressful enough.

The only pleasant thing was finding the dress the first day I walked into the shop. Every other time I stepped foot in the store, I couldn't wait to leave. The seamstress and staff were down right rude! I will never recommend this shop to anyone based on the way I was treated.

I have to say that I have never quite experienced anything like this bridal shop. Made an appointment to pick out bridesmaids dresses....no one offered to assist because the sales associate was too busy on her phone or rushing us out of the store. The comments from the sales associate were rude and the lack of service was horrible. I will never recommend this bridal shop to anyone.

I had an appointment at this location for wedding dress shopping. This was our third stop for the day, and upon arrival we were greeted by a grumpy salesperson, and a messy store. The salesperson showed us to the back of the store, and explained the location of different dresses, and disappeared. While looking at dresses with my mother and sister, we almost left since they all looked dingy, torn, or generally drab. Instead I decided to try on a few since we were already here. While trying on dresses I was disappointed again. Rather than using clamps to allow dresses to be shown in proper fit, Bridals by Jodi uses straight pins. As one might imagine, these neither hold the dress in place, nor do they do the job without stabbing the bride to be. The salesperson continued to be impatient with us, and while trying on dresses we also noticed that the woman at the front desk was barefoot! Needless to say, this is not where I purchased my dress....

I ordered a bridesmaid dress in June. I went in once and called once to see if the dress was in. Two weeks before the wedding I called again and the dress was in. No one called me. I went straight to the alteration shop in Mt. Pleasant. Unfortunately, the dress was too small. The alteration shop had to make the dress bigger. When I contacted Bridal by Jodi, I was told that they tell all their customers that alterations cost anywhere from $20 to $75. They did not care that they took my measurements and ordered the dress. They said there was nothing they could do. They apologized and said they would talk to there staff so that didn't happen again. Absolutely no accountability. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone. Poor poor customer service.

First off, I want to say that Jodi was wonderful....up until her seamstress ruined my dress.

I purchased the wedding gown of my dreams from somewhere else. Their seamstress was out with a medical issue. I found my bridesmaids dresses, very reasonably, at Bridals by Jodi & she said it would be fine to have my dress altered there as well.

After the 4th or 5th fitting, I started to see there was a problem. When we finally got my dress back from the seamstress, it was just about a completely different dress. I am large busted. The dress originally had straps that were beaded & gradually got thinner as they met my shoulders, but still a good inch wide. It was very flattering on my & to find something like that for a big breasted person is hard! Well, when we got the dress back, the front & back had been altered & cut straight across...no gradual break in the straps at all.....just SPAGETTI STRAPS.....all of the beautiful beading was gone & the dress was so altered, that it did not look like the same dress I came in with. I was devestated.......not to mention that when we opened the garment bag, practically a puff of cigerette smoke poured out of the bag! My wedding dress, along with my bridesmaids and mother of the brides dresses reaked of cigerette smoke, & I was a big smoker at the time & could still smell it!

So, we found that Jodi had the same dress in the same size at her shop. We wanted her to give us that dress so we could take it to another seamstress since her seamstress ruined mine. She said no way. She said that the seamstress was not employed by her, & she only worked in her shop???? What???? Bridal's by Jodi was the only place I ever went for a fitting...not this woman's house or anything. There was nothing signed stating that either. Anyway, it turns out, after talking to other brides, they were having the same issues. So......we had to get my parents lawyer involved. We had to threaten to sue Jodi to get any results. The lawyer had to send a letter to her telling her of our intent. Jodi finally relented, we had to sign a statement, & I happily took my dress elsewhere. Because of the time frame, I never got to have any professional bridal photos done which really upset me. This was the only stress I had while planning my wedding.

That seamstress has since passed away. I am really sorry for that, but she still ruined my dress & experience. I would recommend getting dresses from Jodi's, but I would highly recommend taking them elsewhere to be altered as Jodi will not back up the seamstress that works in her shop. Oh!!!!!! and we still had to pay the seamstress!!! she wouldn't refund any of the money!!!!
