Gorgeous selection of gowns!
What a delightful experience we had at Bridal Trousseau this weekend. Yvonne could not have done more to help our daughter choose her wedding gown! She was very patient and was as excited as we were! This is a beautiful bridal boutique, very professional, neat and clean. The diverse selection of gowns was incredible.

Perfect Dress!!
Bridal Trousseau was the 7th dress shop I went to, and I was starting to feel defeated. From the second I walked in, I saw so many dresses I immediately liked! The staff was sooo professional, helpful, calm, and kind! I explained the styles of dresses I liked/didn't like, and they brought out so many dresses that matched my vision! From the second I put on a dress, I KNEW it was the one! They helped me pick out straps that would match my dress. The fitting process was soo easy, and they were sooo helpful! I loved that they do the fittings at the shop! I received sooo many compliments on my dress, and I truly felt amazing in it! I highly recommend Bridal Trousseau!

Great, Seamless Process With Bridal Trousseau

I had an amazing experience!
I was referred by a friend but ended up finding a dress on Google search that led me to Bridal Trousseau. This was my second bridal fitting, so I knew what I wanted but only new it once I found my dress. The bridal store is located right downtown city of New Haven so you must pay for parking. As I walked through the door everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The bridal store is small and intimate the cameras with the TV screen was a nice touch. I was able to see my dresses from the back while seeing the front from their gorgeous mirrors. I noticed they had my name on a small mirror at a table to welcome me. Once my bridal consultant Yvonne introduced herself, we got acquitted and the dress hunt begin. Yvonne had previously texted me and I was able to send her a dress I wanted to try on their site. Surprisingly, the dress I sent her was the first dress I tried on and it ended up being the one I said YES too! I did try on other dresses to make sure it was a definite YES lol. So, I recommend Bridal Trousseau they were very professional and attentive to my expectations.

A Hidden Gem!
When I first got engaged, I was immediately overwhelmed with all of the planning I knew was ahead of me, starting with finding the perfect dress for my big day. Bridal Trousseau was the second place I reserved a bridal appointment with and I was pleasantly surprised that, I FOUND MY DRESS!
Initially, I had no idea what style I was looking for but with the patience of the Bridal Trousseau staff, we were able to narrow down the dresses down by style, color, and fit. I truly felt that Jodi, my bridal consultant, was listening to my all of my concerns and knew what dresses to pull based off of that. She stayed within my budget and scheduled all of my necessary fittings with enough time before the wedding.
The ladies at Bridal Trousseau were very communicative throughout the whole process and made me feel completely comfortable with purchasing the dress of my dreams with them. I can’t thank them enough.

A magical experience
This place 😍😍😍 I have no words. They are simply the best. I am still in shock. I found my dream dress in just 2 hours. Ebony was the stylist a girl could only dream about. I felt so seen. I didn’t go in expecting to buy anything because I am so indecisive. But Ebony was patient and guided me through the process. She ended up showing me dresses that complimented my shape and figure. I live all the way in Texas and came up to do the bubbly appointment with my family and friends and the team still went above and beyond to make sure I found something in my budget that I loved. They were so kind and caring. I ended up tearing at the end because they made me feel like a princess throughout the entire experience. I can’t thank y’all enough for helping me find my dream dress. The shop, selection, and customer service is amazing! See Vera!
I went to the shop not expecting to find “the one.” I was just looking. Vera started by introducing herself and we set a goal just to have fun. She asked for pictures of gowns I had tried on and liked and asked for a description of how I envisioned my day. She was extremely attentive and checked in over the course of the appointment to make sure I was having fun, was comfortable, felt good/confident and was not overwhelmed. She gave her honest opinion on all the dresses, and her personality was great. While getting to the last of the dresses that were selected, she told me she had one on a mannequin that she thought would be perfect and asked if I would consider trying it on. She found “the one,” and I would have completely missed out on it if she had not picked it. I never even saw it on the mannequin! To top it off, when I said yes to the dress, she brought us a champagne toast. I would highly *highly* recommend Bridal Trousseau. They have such amazing, high quality gowns. Ask for Vera!

My experience at Bridal Trousseau was absolutely wonderful! I booked a private appointment for 2 hours and was able to bring five guests and we were given champagne and appetizers. We even had the entire boutique to ourselves! Vera was my assistant and she was amazing to work with. She was extremely knowledgeable, listened to exactly what I wanted, and provided her honest input. I ended up finding my dream dress and couldn’t have done with without the helpful staff at Bridal Trousseau.

I just returned from my second visit to BT, where I just purchased my wedding dress. The experience with Vera was flawless from start to finish. Booking my first visit was so easy, and quickly followed by a phone call to confirm and get some details about how best to prepare based on what I’m looking for. Vera was so in tuned to my experience during both visits—I came alone to avoid bringing my mom & sister out in public (during the pandemic) and it really felt like I was shopping with a knowledgeable friend the entire time. Vera experimented with different styles, which gave me a great idea of what worked with my body and made me feel my best. After digesting the styles, I emailed Vera to send photos of some more styles I liked, she called soon after, and set our second visit. During my second visit, I arrived late and was worried that would set the tone for my visit.. I arrived ready to WORK as I didn’t want to keep anyone after closing time. Well.. Vera was ready.. she had a few dresses pulled, and didn’t rush me whatsoever, even though we were about 30 min from closing. The very first dress I tried on from her selection.. was the one. —FaceTimed my mom & sister— and they absolutely loved her selection too.
Now that you’ve made it to the end of my novel.. I’d say the most important takeaway from my experience was that I could tell Vera truly cared about my experience. Within just a few minutes of being there, I knew I’d get my dress at BT, it was just a matter of which one. Thank you!

A reunion to remember...

Perfect, modified off the rack dress in 6 weeks
We picked our wedding date two months out. I went to three stores on the shoreline including this one twice. Yvonne helped me and she was so sweet and patient. Apparently not strapless and not white is a little hard to find, at least in my budget and off the rack. Yvonne was determined to find something that felt right and we did! Since it was off the rack they could be flexible on price and got it in my budget, the seamstress did a great job on alterations. She took it in a few sizes, opened the back and removed the train which was a big back and forth decision. My mom made the back necklace and they sewed the loops to attach it and helped me with it at the final fittings. I highly recommend the ladies that work in this store. They have an iPad set up to zoom in on your back, they only have two appointments at a time and a good assortment of dresses. The dressing rooms are a little small but service & selection are really what’s important. Maggie Sottero Wyatt dress I believe it was called.

Mel and her team are the absolute best! I took quite a bit of time to fully say "yes", I was NEVER rushed! Once I did say "yes" I knew I made the right choice! They dolled me up with a bunch of accessories, the veil, etc. which helped me know this was the dress for me. I can't wait to shine on my wedding day! Bridal Trousseau was the first place I looked for my wedding dress and I found a dress I feel in love with! The dress felt like me!! Picking out a dress is definitely a tough decision especially for someone like me that is very indecisive but the girls at Bridal Trousseau were always so helpful and patient! Bridal Trousseau is your wedding gown destination. I went to 9 bridal boutiques in CT and NY, two of the 9 twice! When I first walked into Bridal Trousseau I felt it was the place I'd meet my dress! And, I did! The staff are truly amazing! They're professional, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and never pushy! What I loved most about them is that you're never rushed! Also, they give you plenty of space when trying on gowns too. You'll have your own private space. And, finally they have a huge selective to choose from! Incredible dresses & shopping experience
The ladies at Bridal Trousseau are lifesavers. One of my bridesmaids called BT last minute after we visited some other shops, and BT was so extremely accommodating and slotted us in the day of. The experience at BT was so different from everywhere else. They didn't rush or pressure us, but were so very helpful and kind with suggestions and vision. I hated wedding dress shopping before BT (I dislike clothes shopping in general), but the experience at BT was so pleasant and fun that I actually enjoyed it a lot! Their dresses were SO beautiful too! The attendants were extremely creative and helped me visualize alterations that drastically altered the dress I ended up purchasing, and because I was moving back to Louisiana/Texas a couple months before my wedding, they worked with my schedule to have the dress delivered and altered in time before I left Connecticut, for which I'm extremely thankful for. They're fantastic ladies and I could not be more grateful to them for such a wonderful experience.

I stumbled upon BT after trying on many, many wedding gowns. I was unsure I was going to be able to say “yes to the dress”.. I worked with Mel, told her everything I was NOT looking for... because I was unsure still on what I exactly wanted. She brought in this BEAUTIFUL ball gown with embellishments and buttons down the entire back. I put it on and felt like a princess !!!!! I knew this was MY dress. After working with Mel, Jodi and their seamstress, Gigi I am so pleased that I said yes at BT. They are all so attentive and perfectionists when it comes to the fit and details in your gown. Saying YES to your wedding dress is not as easy as it looks but both associates that helped me did an amazing job. I was so nervous because I went all alone to find my wedding dress after multiple attempts in different bridal shops. But the experience here was one of a kind. They had wine available, a beautiful mirror with my name on it on a reserve table. I mean it was amazing!!. The sales rep that helped me was not afraid to go over my budget and it helped me say YES to a dress. Best bridal shop ever. My experience could not have been better.

I had a great experience at Bridal Trousseau. There were multiple appointments going on but there was more than enough space for my entourage of five. I was assigned a consultant that was completely attentive to me and I was even given additional help from other available consultants. They had a great selection of gowns as paid attention to what I was asking for and found several great options for me to help figure out what I was looking for. This shop was my first choice to visit based on fabulous reviews and proximity to my home. I started off with email correspondence which were answered immediately. My appointment was yesterday and I was promptly greeted by Ashley who helped me with my dresses. She offered a glass of champagne (YUM!) for my sister and myself, and showed us suggestions based on the pictures I brought in as well as the style I was going for. We chose some dresses to try on and she was very attentive. After maybe five dresses, I ended up getting the very first dress I picked out! It is a beautiful Maggie Sottero and she was able to work out payment plans as well as suggestions on tailoring. I highly recommend this shop for their professionalism as well as dress selection!

I had a great experience buying my dress as Bridal Trousseau. It was the first and only bridal boutique I visited - and I picked out and bought my dress in 1.5 hours! Ashley helped me with my first appointment back in August 2013. She was helpful, easy to talk to and honest. I had no intention of buying a dress that day and was only "there to look" but felt so at ease and comfortable and instantly fell in love with my dress. I also bought a gorgeous veil at Bridal Trousseau, which the girls also helped me pick out. At my fittings, all the workers were engaged and helpful. They helped measure an exact heel height for the shoes I would need, discuss accessories and seemed genuinely interested in my wedding. I even got a handwritten note after I bought my dress - a nice touch of personal, customer service.
I chose to get my alterations done at Bridal Trousseau also and am extremely glad I did. The seamstress was amazing! I needed a few nit-picky things done and it was perfect! My dress fit me so well and I wore it comfortably for almost 12 hours on my wedding day.
I never had any trouble scheduling appointments, they have friendly staff and a great collection of dresses - highly recommended!

I purchased my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and my mother also got her dress from Bridal Trousseau. I worked with Julie most of the time, but all the other girls I worked with were equally professional and helpful. I am extremely indecisive so saying yes to the dress was very difficult! I actually went to about 5 other places as well, but I ultimately went back to Bridal Trousseau because of the service I received while I was there on my very first visit. I cannot say enough good things about Julie! She is so incredibly sweet and highly skilled at what she does. She listened to what I wanted and she could see when I was getting overwhelmed and never pressured me to make any decisions. I probably went in about 6 times before deciding on "the one." She gave her honest opinions about each dress and pointed out the positives and negatives about each dress because like she said, "you don't pick the second best dress." Bridal Trousseau definitely lived up to my wedding dress shopping dream, and I highly recommend them!

After having a horrible experience at another bridal salon, I walked into Bridal Trousseau with some hesitation and fear but the staff made me feel quite comfortable and at ease soon after walking in the door. I wanted a Maggie Soterro gown and this place was the closest one that had it. I took a chance on a store I had only read reviews on (one particularly scary one, which I later found out was posted by a crazy bridezilla!!!) and I was so satisfied with them! They were more than willing to work with me on price, size, and options as far as alterations. They were a bit busy on my appointment days sometimes, but I never felt put on the back-burner and they made me feel like a blushing bride for the first time in my wedding experience. Even David's Bridal is a nightmare when you see what class this shop has and how they treat you.

This was the last shop of the day when I found my dream dress. It was during a snow storm and other stores were closing early but Mel and her team were ready and waiting for me to get there. I had the whole store to myself and tried on gowns at my leisure. I had tried on like 15-20 gowns before I stepped foot in this place so I was a little tired and discouraged when I came in. Mel quickly narrowed down exactly what I was looking for and handed me what ended up being my wedding gown and when I stood up on that little stage with the full length mirror, glass of champagne in my hand, I knew I had found the one. Ordering was smooth, payment was easy, and the gown came in at the top end of the timeline estimate at 6 months, but that is not really in their control when its an international designer that has to go through customs so keep that in mind when you decide to go shopping. They have a large but not overwhelming selection that you can go through yourself if you want and prices were comparable to internet research and other businesses in the area. I had a great experience with Bridal Trousseau and would recommend anyone make an appointment with them to see if your perfect dress is waiting for you there!

There are not enough good things I can say about my experience at Bridal Trousseau. I don't even know where to begin! On my first appointment I narrowed down my choices to 4 dresses. I didn't feel pressured at all to pick one, everyone was so caring and helpful!
When I went back my bridesmaids helped me pick one and I couldn't have been happier. I loved the variety of dresses in the store as well! I'm 100% confident anyone could find their dream gown there because of all of the different styles, colors, etc. I tell literally everyone looking for a dress to go there because of how truly great the entire experience was.
Mel, the owner, is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She truly cares so much about her brides and just wants them to find their dream dress. I could have easily been pursuaded to buy a more expensive dress from my top 2 picks but I wasn't. They all just wanted me to feel great in the dress that was best for me! They really make you feel like family being there through the whole process.
I got my bridesmaid dresses there as well and even with everything going on with my dresses being from Alfred Angelo they made sure everything went smoothly. They let us use the sample in the store when we found out one of the dresses weren't going to come in because of Alfred Angelo closing.
I honestly could go on and on about how amazing my experience was but you should absolutely go there yourself to see!!

Where to start. My journey with Bridal Trousseau started in Oct 2013. The store is gorgeous and the selection is great, many different designers, and a great range in prices to fit almost any budget. and was bout my 6 dress shop and 75 dresses later, and I still had not found the dress I had in my head. Ashley spend over 2 hours with me and helped me into what seemed like every dress in the store. Just when I was about to give up, I tried on one last dress that was about 40% of what I was looking for. Feeling a little beat down from the whole dress hunt, I went with this dress. Then began the string of alterations. Which took 4 fittings. The seamstress did an AMAZING job turning a halter dress into a strapless, the hours she must have spent on the beadwork alone. After the 3rd fitting I left feeling like it still wasn't the dress I pictured. After having a complete meltdown on the phone with the owner Lisa, she had me come right back in (even though I was soooo rude to her) and spent almost 2 hours sitting on the floor tailoring the dress herself. She did the most amazing job taking the vision in my head and turning the dress into exactly what I wanted. Every single person in the store was more than helpful and attentive, and so friendly. We also has a great experience and fun evening going to the shop to pick out tuxes, I recommend this to every couple. The selection is wonderful, and there is something to fit every style wedding.

Highly Recommend Bridal Trousseau
My consultant Jodi and the entire staff at BT were simply amazing! As a first-time bride, they understood my nervousness and made every effort to keep me calm and excited for this season of my life. Jodi was lovely and accommodating to me and exuded so much patience. She helped me visualize my perfect gown! The gowns were breathtaking; I was anxious that I would not find one within my budget. However, they proved me wrong; they had a beautiful selection within my budget. My bridal crew loved the atmosphere and personal touches BT did to welcome me! I cannot wait for my fiancé to see me in MY gown! I will certainly share this bridal shop with friends and family.

Went Above and Beyond
I ended up Bridal Trousseau on a random Saturday, which happened to be a Matthew Christopher trunk show. When I showed up to try on a Maggie Sottero, I ended up getting a full blown experience with Matthew Christopher and falling in love with a dress. As the butterflies wore off, I realized I did not have "my people" with me, and explained to the people at BT that my mom would be devastated if she missed this experience. So, they let me come back and retry dresses, pretending I never bought a dress, giving my mom the experience and me the experience of having my girls with me. I am forever grateful for their flexibility and willingness to do this for me!!

I am so incredibly thankful that I stumbled across Bridal Trousseau last summer. If it wasn't for Michelle, I never would have tried on the Maggie Sottero that became my wedding dress. I couldn't be happier with it's beauty, the fit and the way the dress photographed. I also cannot say enough good things about my experience with Bridal Trousseau and every staff member that I encountered. Despite moving to a new location just after I purchased my dress, they remained organized and stayed true to every word. I will definitely be recommending the store to anyone in need of a wedding gown in the future!

I went to the store in New Haven and they were extremely helpful as I reluctantly looked at veils. I ended up adoring mine, thanks to their help in how to place it on my head. And the terrifically stored it for me for a few months!

I bought my dress at Bridal Trousseau and had a great experience. The staff was very welcoming and easy to work with. I had my alterations done there too and was very satisfied. The only reason i gave 4 stars on responsiveness was because they didn't respond to voicemail or email (may have been a fluke but that was my experience). I had to call until someone picked up or stop in.

Bridal Trousseau was extremely busy when I got there. It was a little overwhelming at first but as the appointment went on the consultants became more and more attentive. Even the consultants that were busy with other clients took the time to compliment me on the dresses I tried on. They were more than willing to customize everything exactly to my liking. I had been to almost a dozen salons and had found nothing until I went to Bridal Trousseau. I was able to mix and match dresses to make my ideal wedding dress. It was such a relief to finally find my dress. Everyone there was super helpful and really made my experience a memorable one.

I really loved this shop and all the wonderful ladies that work there. I wound up getting a new dress for the price of a sample through some miraculous circumstances and everyone was very helpful and eager to please. Highly recommended!

Bridal Trousseau is a great boutique and where I found my dream wedding dress! The atmosphere is relaxing and made it enjoyable to shop there. Julie was great to work both the day we went shopping and after. I did not have much time between ordering the dress and my wedding. And Julie helped assure me that it was all going to work out - and she was right!

I had called several bridal shops looking to see if they carried a particular dress I had seen in a magazine and every shop flatly told me no. When I called Bridal Trousseau, they told me they didn't carry the dress, but they had me describe the dress in detail and told me about a few dresses they did carry that were very similar and gave me the style number to look up online. I made an appointment the following week and found my perfect dress, that happened to not look anything like the one I was looking for. Everyone I worked with was very helpful and pleasant. I would definitley recommend them to my family and friends. The store is a little tight, but that would be my only complaint

Of the 3 bridal stores I went to try on dresses it was in the middle in terms of price range. They had many different dresses to try on. You have to make an appointment to try on dresses and you are limited to one hour. It was recommended to me by a friend after I was having trouble finding a dress for myself and the women in the store were very helpful! I told them the problem I was having and they pulled out a few dresses from the racks and of those 3 I found "my dress"!
They are very personable and helpful! Two things which I didn't find in any of the other stores.

Didn’t buy a dress, but wonderful experience!
Jody was absolutely lovely and made it a great experience! I ended up finding a dress elsewhere, but Jody made me feel so comfortable, was so knowledgeable, and was respectful of my budget. Would definitely recommend this store!

Beautiful Experience
I loved my dress. Wonderful sales rep Tony made my experience stress free with no pressure. I didn’t become into any issues until my alterations. Reps were very helpful and polite but my dress just would not fit. Each time it was still too big. I didn’t receive my dress until the day before my wedding. So nerve wracking. The dress still did not fit 100% but I settled. Overall would recommend shop to others. Great quality dress and lovely workers.

Great experience and value.
I had a great experience at Bridal Trousseau, I did not feel pressured into any dress or rushed. I fell in love with my Maggie Sottero gown. I also felt the value was reasonably priced as well as alterations. Overall it was as great experience and would recommend them.

I got my wedding dress, veil, headband and under garments from Bridal Trousseau and it was a good experience. I had a consultant Jen (I think) at one of my appointments, she was amazing and so personal! I liked that they called you to tell you a trunk show was coming which I went to for my veil and headband (you get 10% off)! My headband did take a long time to come in, which was not their fault the ribbon was back ordered, but they didn't call me to even let me know it was in. I had to call them a few times, it finally came in a few weeks before my wedding. Also, they told me to pick up my dress any time after 2pm on a weds...well I went about 2:30pm and the dress was not ready, luckily my sister was able to get it for me as I was pressed for time two days before my wedding. Besides this I really liked all of the people there and they really do get to know you on a more personal level!

I LOVED my experience at Bridal Trousseau. My consultant, Krissy, was amazing and immediately made me feel comfortable with the whole experience. I let her know on my first visit that i had a budget of $1000 which Krissy worked with and did not make me feel like i needed to go above that to get the dress of my dreams. A majority of the experience was full of laughter and smiles due to the fun loving personality of my consultant. Once i had decided on "the dress" i was greeted with celebratory jingle bells and a glass of champagne. Overall the entire experience was something to remember, and I will. I highly recommend checking this small boutique out and requesting Krissy as your consultant!!

The end result was beautiful, but it was a little stressful getting to that point. Some of the staff were amazing and went out of their way to assist me, while others were less helpful, barely returning my phone calls. Certain items were not in by their scheduled dates, and no one was ale to provide me with an exact day the accessories would arrive. I must stress that my dress and other attire were flawless on my wedding day. I would not have chosen anything differently, just be prepared to do some legwork.

I absolutely LOVE my wedding dress from Bridal Trousseau. The only reason why I rated the salon at a 3.8 is because I have had rude encounters there with employees. However, the gowns are gorgeous and reasonably priced. My most recent encounter there was very positive and I feel great about purchasing my gown from there.

When it comes to a wedding dress, they were amazing. I gave them my budget and they mostly stayed within it, and I gave them a few ideas on styles and they showed me amazing dresses that fit what I was looking for. They listened well and helped find the perfect dress for me. The tailoring there was also done very well. The one thing I'll say is I had major issues with ordering jewelry from them through a trunk show. Long story short, I ordered it in August and got it the week of my wedding in December, which was quite stressful as you can imagine. They didn't respond to my many phone calls about it until we were in emergency mode. The manager stepped in and managed to get it taken care of for me and was great, but it should have happened much earlier. Just my two cents - go with them for a dress but not for the jewelry!

Selection of Dresses over whelming. Terrific place to shop. Very quaint and very personalized with appointment. My wedding party 5 plus myself all bought our dresses here. My disappoint was with that they didn't take the time to educate "me" as a new bride. Extras and what was best for me was not at the forefront of there attention. They were quick to try and put me in under garments that didn't fit and didn't offer to show my maids how to lace up my dress.
I loved the store. The people were nice enough but I felt rushed for my money, a shame. I'd still recommend them but with warning and advise.

Bridal Trousseau is where I found the dress of my dreams. I had a vision and the dress I finally ended up choosing definitely was NOT part of that vision but just see the smile come across my mother's face was worth it! In the end I couldn't imagine any other gown I would walk down the aisle in to marry the man of my dreams!
Picking out the dress was magic and a truly fairy tale experience. When it came to the final fittings that is another story: I tried on the dress waiting for the seamstress for over an hour and no one told me that she was not going to be showing up! (I was patient and fine with that because honestly the dress was so beautiful I just wanted to be in it forever!) The next time I show up to finally meet with the seamstress (I left work early to get there) When I finally get there I'm waiting for 20 minutes and finally someone comes up and says, "I tried calling you and leaving you messages on your cell phone, but the seamstress will not be in today again." I was a bit upset this time because it is a far ride and I literally took out my phone right there and had NO missed calls or voicemails... the next time I came in I called ahead to make sure everything was on schedule--it was and I was able to try it on and finally get measured (2 and a 1/2 weeks until the wedding!) I believed personally, that the cost of alterations were a little outrageous. ($550) I could understand if they were doing some extravagant changes but all they had to do was bring the dress in at the top an inch: no hemming at all.
In the end, the bigger picture is that everything was perfect--I was very pleased with the outcome just a bit concerned with the flexibility and professionalism when it came to the alterations and availability of the seamstress. I believe I was more than flexible when it came to that. Hopefully others will be more flexible as well!
The gowns are gorgeous and I'm absolutely sure you will find the dress of your dreams!

First off, I LOVED my dress. It was good quality and arrived in time.
My review is based off of my bridesmaids experiences. The shop pushed off their dress' arrival date 5 times so my girls had one month to scramble and find someone to alter them. One of my five bridemaids had a completely different designers dress and that was NEVER discussed with me. It was NOT the same color as the others as promised to her and her straps were sewn in at the shop and we not in proper position so her top folded over itself.
The shop charges $500 flat fee for bridal alterations. When they put on a bustle, they put on the bare minimum eye hooks. Save yourself the $500 and find a trustworthy seamstress and have the bustle done properly. I went to a friend who put on 27 hooks and I was good to go. I streamed my dress myself. It took me 1 hour. Save yourself the money.
You may find the dress of your dreams, but be prepared for a bumpy road ahead of you until its finally in your arms.

I found my dress at Bridal Trousseau when it was in Branford, CT. At that time, I was very pleased with the service. However, a couple months after I bought my dress, the previous owner sold the business. It then moved locations to New Haven, CT. It was all down hill from there. I had multiple problems with my veil. I ordered my veil in May and did not receive it until March! Then my veil finally came in, it wasn't even the correct veil. Through all of the problems, I received many different reasons for why it took so long and why the order was incorrect. I felt lied to. This was honestly the WORST retail experience of my life. I would NOT recommend this bridal store to anyone. Stay far, far away!
