Review for July 2025 Wedding

I’m originally from NY so I always thought I’d go to NYC to shop for bridal gowns. I wanted to try on gowns while my mom was visiting and ended up finding the one at Bridal Beginning. The seamstress Sieda (I may be spelling this wrong) was incredible. The gown fit me like a glove and her work was just incredible. I’ve never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day which was all thanks to her

Wonderful wedding dress experience!

I had such an amazing experience at Bridal Beginning! It was my second dress store of the day and I was a little anxious after the first as I didn’t find anything I really liked. Well Bridal Beginning changed that for me! Marisa helped me that day and she was nothing but AMAZING! She was full of energy and was so good at listening to what I was looking for! She helped me try on multiple dresses and listened to my likes and dislikes of the dresses. With that, she was able to find my dream dress!! I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on!! And then even more so when she took me out into the front room to see the sparkles in the natural light! It was perfect! My sister, mom, and mother in law accompanied me, we had such an amazing time that my sister later came back to find her dream dress with Marisa as well!!

Happy 2023 Bride

Bridal Beginning is simply just, the best there is! I had such a lovely time looking for my dream wedding dress with the help of Marisa, which only took us 45 minutes to find!!! She had everything ready to go from my portal and made me feel super welcomed. There was one dress in particular that I had on my portal, and it showed in store but was still boxed up in the basement as it literally arrived the day before. She went down and searched for the dress, found it, and brought it to me. The Maggie Sottero dress was so gorgeous. As soon as I put it on (first to try it on may I add) I cried!!! I just knew this was my dress that I was going to marry my best friend in. Not only did I light up, but so did my sisters, mom and Marisa.

When my dress arrived in store they let me know immediately and booked an appointment for me to come in. I also purchased my veil as well. Each appointment was nice and easy. The entire experience was so fun with Bridal Beginning and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Beautiful wedding dress & supportive consultant

I had an amazing experience at Bridal Beginning! Sara helped me find the perfect Watters dress for my wedding. It was a style I hadn't expected to choose, but she skillfully pulled a variety of dresses to help me figure out which elements I liked best and we ended up with the perfect dress (and veil). I absolutely recommend Bridal Beginning for your wedding dress shopping!

Wonderful store to find your dream dress!

Bridal Beginning was an absolutely amazing experience. My associate was friendly and wonderful in selecting dresses I might like. It took 12 dresses and 2 trips for me to decide, and she was extremely patient and helpful each step of the way. Absolutely amazing. This store has many dresses that I feel I did not see at other bridal stores. If you are looking for a unique dress, I would highly recommend.

Wonderfully kind

Went to Bridal Beginning with a specific dress in mind. The consultants were so helpful in understanding my vision and helped customize straps for the dress. The salon itself was absolutely stunning and gorgeous with a variety of pricing for gowns. They kept within my budget of $2,000.

Destination Boutique

I cannot say enough good things about the Bridal Beginnings experience and specifically my consultant, Kristen. This is a boutique worthy of the travel if out of town. I am from Pittsburgh but living in New York and went all around both cities trying on dresses. I went to 11 appointments over 5 months and tried on at least 100 dresses, including 2 appointments at the infamous Kleinfelds. Let me tell you, these appointments didn’t hold a CANDLE to Bridal Beginnings. It’s a better experience, better dress selection, and provides a more personalized experience. On top of that, the consultants are world class. Kristen was so informative, would point out design elements to help me make a decision, perfectly translated my (terribly described) vision and somehow made it come to life in a one of a kind dress. I truly would not have been able to make a decision without Kristen. On top of that, she also helped my sister who is also engaged find her dress, and somehow made us both feel so beautiful and so special through our experiences. She navigated a tricky situation with professionalism and grace. 100000/100. Would highly recommend. Thank you Kristen and BB!! ❤️

Dream experience with incredible staff!!

I grew up in Mt. Lebanon and knew Bridal Beginning was going to be the first place I went (and last!). Laurena was my sales associate and right away I trusted her. She has so many dresses from my list hung in my room and I thought I found *the one*, I had my moment, loved how I felt. Except, I felt like I needed to try a few more on. Laurena found some other dresses - a few of the same and then a few different ones. When she held up a mermaid cut dress I instantly wanted to say no but she encouraged me and I’m so glad I did! It looked like it was made for me, I felt beautiful and confident and I instantly thought, my now husband, would love this too!

Saida did my alterations in house and was absolutely incredible! Worth every single penny! Her attention to detail was truly amazing and it made all the difference! I cried all over again when I had my dress finished, she is beyond talented!

Above and beyond!

When I say Bridal Beginning went above and beyond any vendor expectation, I don't think that does my experience justice. Marisa put so much time, effort, and energy to make sure that I felt like a bride *and* that I felt like me on my wedding day (and without breaking the bank). She helped me to narrow-down and understand my bridal style, and I learned so much about what flatters my body generally that I have carried on to shopping for myself since then. I really struggled with the decision of choosing a wedding dress, but Marisa and the Bridal Beginning team were kind and patient talking through my uncertainty. The number of gowns that they have is overwhelming, but it also means that if there is something small about one gown that isn't quite right, there is likely a better fit right down the rack. The team there is also very familiar with the many designers they carry and are knowledgable about where alterations, adjustments, and customizations can be made. Marisa turned what could have been a dress shopping nightmare into a dream dress experience. If you are in or around the Pittsburgh area, I highly, highly recommend shopping at Bridal Beginning!

Amazing for dress shopping and alterations!

Everyone at Bridal Beginning was amazing from the first moment I stepped in the door to the moment I left with my dress days before my wedding! Their selection of dresses is perfectly curated, and their team is full of amazing professionals who will help you find the dress of your dreams.

Laurena was my fabulous consultant and was the one who picked out my dream dress! She completely listened to what I liked and pulled a dress I never expected, but absolutely fell in love with.

Saida, the alterations queen, is an absolute magician! She took in my dress so it fit me like a glove, and the bustle she created was unbelievable. My train entirely disappeared and it looked like a totally different dress.

I can't recommend Bridal Beginning enough.

Incredible Experience!

I couldn't be more pleased with the incredible experience that I had at Bridal Beginning! My mom and I drove from the DC area to Pittsburgh because they carried every designer that I was looking to try on so I had high hopes. We were really impressed with their COVID policies and the safety measures they took when we arrived. Sara was my consultant and she went above and beyond in helping me decide which dress was "the dress". We started with my Wishlist then she had me try on various other dress styles and designers to make sure that my top 3 dresses were exactlywhat I wanted. The time that Sara took to understand my style and vision for my wedding helped make my dress selection process that much smoother. Ultimately I said "yes to my dress" and Sara made my boho dreams come true! Thank you Sara and Bridal Beginning for making my experience perfect! I can't wait to see my dress on my wedding day!

LOVE! Worth a trip if from out of town!

I really loved my team (Marisa was my consultant) at Bridal Beginning. I drove from NY to PA just to look at Berta dresses and the team here made it a wonderful experience. I was nervous about finding a dress because I am a highly indecisive person and didn't want to drive 8 hours to not find a dress; I was worried that the hour and a half appointment wasn't going to be enough time and I was correct about this, but the ladies at bridal beginning were wonderful and allowed me to stay significantly longer in order to find the perfect dress. I don't even know how many dresses I tried on because I lost count and I tried the same two dresses on and off for about 2-3 hours and put each dress on probably 10 different times before I finally figured out which one would be the perfect dress with some minor changes. The team here was so wonderful and didn't make me feel bad for trying things on a million times. I would recommend everyone to make the drive to go to bridal beginning it was a great experience. If I had to make any critique about the experience it would be that their rooms make it so you don't feel like the experience is super private. You can hear other consultants and brides from other rooms talking. But despite this my experience was amazing and would go back a million times; I can't wait for my first fitting!

Kristen is your girl!

I went to 3 other boutiques in the Pittsburgh area and Bridal Beginning was by far the most fun, easy, enjoyable process. Kristen is a life changer-- she's incredibly skilled at knowing what you're looking for while allowing you to try things you wouldn't have thought of. I can't recommend her and BB enough. I can't wait to go back to try on my dress again and do my fittings with their seamstress.

The best bridal boutique!

I cannot express enough appreciation and thanks for my consultant Christina and everyone at Bridal Beginning! I had an appointment on 5/29/21. Aside from helping me choose the most stunning dress, Christina made this experience more positive than I ever could have imagined. More than anything, I will always remember how beautiful I felt and what a special day it was for me, my mom, and my sister to share together. That alone was what made the appointment so memorable. I felt so comfortable with Christina. She was kind-hearted, patient, trustworthy, and honest - truly, a gem! You can tell Bridal Beginning did their homework. Completing the wishlist helped me to prepare for the appointment. And Christina found “the dress” on the first pick! The designer wasn’t even on my wishlist which made it even more impressive. Of course, I tried on several others after that, but she got it right with the very first dress. The staff I spoke to over the phone to schedule and ask questions prior to arriving was very welcoming and kind. I would recommend Bridal Beginning to anyone. Don’t waste your time anywhere else! I hope to return for bridesmaids dresses and more!

Wonderful Experience!

If you are looking for a similar experience that you see on television, this is the place! The showroom is gorgeous, the staff is very professional, experienced, and talented. The professionals truly focus on you as the client and they are so kind! I really felt special, absolutely loved my dress and veil, and loved the results!

The bridal salon and alterations phase are very safe and follow all covid regulations (appointment only, call upon your arrival, face masks, hand sanitizer, social distancing, etc.).

Best place to find your dress

My experience at this store was wonderful. I had some ideas and when I decided I didn’t like them they brought me other options and I found my dress that day. I didn’t need to go to multiple shops. I wanted a Hayley Paige and they had her dresses as well as so many other gorgeous gowns!

An amazing experience!

I had an appointment at Bridal Beginning to find my wedding dress and I had an amazing experience, I also said yes to the dress! My consultant Marissa was so sweet and definitely listened to what type of dress I was looking for. It only took 30 minutes and 6 dresses to find the perfect one for me. The only place to go for a Designer Wedding Dress

I am a very picky person for the smallest things. So choosing the one and only wedding dress was the most difficult decision I ever had to make. I went to 6 different salons and tried more than 125 dresses, after that I stopped counting..lol.
The last Salon I visited was Bridal Beginning and thats where I found "The Dress" with the help of the best consultant ever- Marissa! She took my quest as a challenge and made me try every dresses that I was envisioning based on the Pinterest board I showed her. She knew my taste and was very helpful in pulling off all the dresses possible for me and finally I found the one I was looking for.
I got a Milla Nova California Dreaming and paired it with a custom made cape. The dress was stunning and all the guests at the wedding cannot stop raving about it.
Thanks so much Marissa for helping me the most important dress of my life and making my dream come true

First and last stop!

I had such an amazing experience from start to finish at bridal beginning! The staff there is so amazing, friendly and helpful! I purchased my bridal gown, bridal accessories, and bridesmaids dresses here! Each time I came there I was greeted with a smile and helped right away! I got my alterations done here as well and she was AMAZING! She did everything I wanted and more, it fit perfectly when she was done! :) I highly recommend going to this bridal shop for all your bridal needs!

So, I wanted to try another salon before I came to Bridal Beginning, but honestly it didn't compare. BB has so many options (it's overwhelming haha). My consultant was great, very helpful and told me that we wouldn't stop until we found my "wow" dress. The only thing I was kind of "eh" about was the fact that she didn't ask my budget and said she just goes off photos; we ended up working that out though. I found the most AMAZING dress. They made it personal and not just like another appointment they had. They do charge 50% up front to order your dress, FYI. Overall such a great experience, they have so many options, the staff is great and I will be back there to get bridesmaid dresses.

Great Selection!

I went to 6 shops in the Pittsburgh area for my dress and thought I would never find my dream dress. I was pleasantly surprised going into bridal beginning because they took such amazing care of me and had impeccable attention to the details I wanted in a dress. Somehow in 45 minutes approximately my perfect dress was sitting there waiting for me. All of our bridesmaids also got their dresses there and it was all such a smooth and simple process! Wonderful Experience

I worked with Emily to find my dress and I am so thankful I did. She pulled the perfect dress for me! One recommendation I had heard was to make an appointment during a week day to avoid the business of a Saturday and I am super glad I did. There were only a few other groups in the shop and I felt so comfortable there.
Emily was patient with me while I tried on different styles and never got frustrated when I didn't like something. I ended up liking parts of two different dresses and she was able to pull a dress that perfectly fit what I was looking for. And it was under $2,000 which was a MAJOR plus for me!!

Bridal Beginning was so incredible to work with finding my dress! Going into my first dress appointment I hardly knew what I wanted and hadn't yet tried on any type of dress. The consultant was so helpful, knowledgable and professional. If I didn't love a dress we moved on to the next dress immediately as to not waste any time. She asked my price range and stuck with it. I found my dress after trying on about 10 other dresses and it was the most gorgeous dress! They were very professional and have such a large, gorgeous selection! Five stars!

I had such a wonderful experience here! I live in CA and had probably tried on over 50 dresses in CA before going to Bridal Beginning. I'm VERY picky when it comes to clothes/shoes, etc., and I figured it would take a long time for me to find a dress I loved. With all of the "fancy" designer stores we have in CA, I never expected to find "the dress" in Pittsburgh, but I wanted to try on some dresses in my hometown so that my mom and sister could be involved in the process. Marisa was so wonderful and really listened to me/got my style. She helped me find the perfect dress! I also used their alteration services. Saida was awesome to work with! My dress fit like a glove! She also was able to work around my schedule, as I live in CA and had limited availability to come for my fittings. I cannot thank everyone at Bridal Beginning enough! My dress was perfect and I received so many compliments!

First and Last Stop! Not going to lie I was kind of dreading trying on dresses, I am extremely picky and had no real idea what I wanted...cue Sara from Bridal Beginning. She was absolutely amazing and truly listened not only to what I envisioned and wanted, but was also very respectful of my ideal price range. She knew what kind of dress I wanted when I didn't know myself! Sara focused on me and what I wanted, she could tell when I wasn't feeling a dress even when others who came with me liked a dress. I never once felt pressured and I appreciate her patience with me as I tried on the same dress 3x....which I eventually purchased. Highly recommend

Super helpful!

Marisa was SO helpful in my (finally choosing) finding my wedding gown! I was very indecisive and couldn't put my visions together, but she helped walk me through what I liked and was thinking and put no pressure on us at all. Wonderful Experience

I purchased my wedding dress from Bridal Beginning on February 22, 2019. Dorothy was my Consultant. She was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely patient, and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for.

I brought in pictures of four dresses, and Dorothy totally understood my vision. I ended up purchasing the very first dress she pulled for me.

Dorothy made me feel very comfortable. I was very nervous, but throughout the appointment she eased my mind and helped me to feel confident in my decision.

Dorothy is the reason why I said yes to the dress at Bridal Beginning!

Such a great experience!

I loved my bridal experience at Bridal Beginning. My consultant was extremely helpful and patient during the wedding dress process and always listened to what I liked and didn't like about certain dresses. She helped me narrow down my final choices and was such a sweet heart to work with! The staff at Bridal Beginning was also excellent in helping with bridesmaid dresses and when I picked up my wedding dress. They were always willing to accommodate a change in appointment time and were very pleasant throughout the entire process. I would absolutely recommend them to a future bride!

Wonderful Selection, Customer Service and Alterations!

All of the staff at Bridal Beginning were incredible to work with, especially Marissa, Lisa and alterations miracle-worker, Saida. They have so many incredible dresses to choose from, and Marissa instantly understood my vision and found the perfect dresses for me. It was also so convenient to be able to have the alterations done in-house. Saida is such a talented seamstress, and I am still astonished at how much she accomplished in such a short amount of time (and for such a reasonable price!). She helped think of every little detail to make sure I looked and felt my best on my wedding day, and she went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy. I went to two other places in town before Bridal Beginning, and they were the nicest, most accommodating people with the best dress selection. I would never go anywhere else!

GREAT Experience

Bridal Beginning was by far the best bridal shop I visited in Pittsburgh. I went to a handful of other places before I visited Bridal Beginning and they were just putting me in pretty dresses that didn't really fit with the vibe I was going for. Every dress I tried on looked beautiful but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. At Bridal Beginning within the first fifteen minutes of my appointment they had pulled three dresses I could have picked. It was so easy and they got the style and vibe I was going for right away. We had a destination wedding and Florida and I wanted something light and flowy. The consultants were so nice and easy to work with as well. I ended up purchasing a belt there once my wedding dress came in and it ended up being perfect. Go to Bridal Beginning, they won't disappoint!

Knowledgeable, helpful, and wonderful experience

The selection of this shop was amazing with some beautiful gowns in every price range. My consultant really listened to what I wanted, trusted her gut with my reactions, and showed me options that really solidified what I wanted to look like for the wedding. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a gown in the Pittsburgh area.

Amazing service and wonderful staff

I had the best experience at Bridal beginning. I had already looked at a few other places before visiting them, and I’m so glad that I decided to go! They were extremely professional and made me feel like it was all about me. They helped me find me perfect gown while staying in my price range. Absolutely amazing, a dream come true!!!!!

Prior to going to Bridal Beginning, my experience finding my gown was very stressful. I was looking for a certain style & could not find anything even close. The other shops were not listening to my request. My Mom called BB before our visit, sent pictures of the dress I was trying to replicate (a beautiful Oscar De La Renta) and this is when Lisa took charge.
Nicole brought out the one & only gown I tried on at BB. We realized that the train could be picked up & fashioned into the back that I was looking for. That's where Saida came in. She said she could do the alterations I desired. From there on it was all Saida. She made me the dress of my dreams. It was like a miracle, the dress I was dreaming of was created for me by Saida at BB, a truly couture dress!! It was better than the original dress I wanted!!! I wanted to write a raving review the night I picked up the dress, but none of the pictures did it justice, so I was waiting for the professional pictures to arrive. Thank you Saida so very much for your hard work and superior skills with making the most beautiful dress in the world. And thank you to Lisa for all of your help in helping translate my ideas. Finally, thank you to the entire staff at Bridal Begining!!

Where to begin! I am a bride and I could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone was extremely helpful and made me feel extra special. I know they see brides all the time but they still were so happy for me. Definitely have your alterations done here. Saida was phenomenal. Worth every penny. I have had alterations elsewhere for dresses, but she will make your dreams come true. I can’t thank the staff enough for making this special time in my life so memorable!

I am the MOB. My daughter had a vision In her head of what she wanted, but we couldn't find it or it was$15,000.I called ahead of r appt. bc she was not having good experiences at other shops. Lisa took control & got the ball rolling 4 a wonderful experience. Nicole found the gown, & the fabulous seamstress , Saida worked her magic. Having 2 daughters we hav bought & altered many gowns. I found the absolute perfect dress, not at all what i had in mind but it was the most beautiful dress i had ever seen. I got so many compliments! I also found the perfect mix and match bridesmaids dresses. Nicole and Sara were amazing. Customer service was excellent and dresses were just gorgeous!

I absolutely adored Bridal Beginning. I am not a good shopper, and didn't even have a great idea of what I wanted when I went in, but my consultant Lisa got me right away. She brought me tons of great dresses, narrowing in on what I liked. I live in Washington DC but opted to come to Pittsburgh for all of my fittings and tailoring, and I am happy I did. The seamstress did an amazing job and the dress was incredible. I am so happy I worked with this store throughout my wedding process. They made everything so manageable and pleasant. I can't recommend them enough!

Beautiful bridal store. SO many options for bridal dresses but even for the bridesmaids, MOB, and prom. Tons of dresses. They measured me so perfectly for my dress that I didn't even need any alterations. We made quite a few appointments with them too to look at dresses for me, my maid of honor, and my mom. Each time, everyone we worked with was so kind, helpful, and listened to what we were looking for and helped us find it.

Owner Pam, dress finder Marissa, and alterations Saida MADE ME MY PERFECT DRESS!!!
When I first arrived, I showed Marissa a pictures of something I had in mind (a two piece dress), and she found and put it together perfectly for me! I think I only tried on 2 dresses before finding the one! My only request was that I could put a slit in the skirt ... she checked with their alterations department and they said it could be done. When the dress came in I decided to take it to a local seamstress since Bridal Beginning was an hour away from me. My local girl told me there was no way on earth a slit could be done, and that it would ruin the entire dress ... I was devastated. That's what sold me on the dress! I called Bridal Beginning just to say I was upset a slit couldn't be done when they told me it could ... Pam the owner called me back personally, was able to calm me down and said it 100% COULD be done and offered to pay to have it put in (even when it was my decision to get alterations done elsewhere). This is when I met my favorite person, Saida! Saida put the slit in the skirt for me and was very thorough on how she would do it and gave her full recommendations for where to put it and how high (still keeping it tight around my butt which I wanted). I was in tears when I saw how amazing of a job she did. She did the rest of the alterations for me and made my dream dress come true. Saida was the BEST ... I called her my best friend. She is top notch and the best at what she does. She even stitched the crystal belt I bought onto the skirt while I was in it! Pam was so sweet and accomodating ... the way she handled herself, the store, and the situation made me have complete trust in her. I am a full time wedding photographer in the Pittsburgh area and would 100% recommend Bridal Beginnings!!! THANK YOU TO ALL!!! I LOVED my dress from Bridal Beginning! My stylist understood my style instantly, and every dress she pulled for me could have been a potential yes. When I couldn't decide between three, she knew that none of them then was "the one" and she pulled an additional dress for me. . . it was the winner! In total, I only tried on maybe seven dresses, and I found my dress in under two hours. She completely understood what I liked! I also had my alterations done in-house. Again, I had nothing but a positive experience. The dress (and all of my bridesmaid dresses- which I also got from Bridal Beginning) arrived within the time frame, and it only took two fittings and the final check before taking my dress home. I originally like this vendor when a friend used them for her bridal gown, and I am SO GLAD I used them for my wedding.

I went to three other dress shops before finally going to Bridal Beginning (it was difficult to get an appointment at first that fit my schedule). Bridal Beginning was by far the absolute best! All of the women that helped me each and every visit were fabulous. They truly know what they are talking about and I felt comfortable every time I was there. I cannot thank them enough for helping me find my dress, veil, and bridesmaid dresses, too. They only put me in dresses that were within my price range - and that I am truly appreciative of. The alterations were quite a bit more than I ever expected, however, my dress fit perfectly! I am so pleased with my experience at Bridal Beginning.

The best place in Pittsburgh to find a wedding dress. The service there is simply outstanding and the dress selection is second to none in the area. I had a wonderful experience here! I didn't know exactly what I wanted when I went in so they helped me narrow it down by having me try on a wide range of dresses. I felt like they were genuinely excited for me and wanted the best for me. I got a strapless ballgown dress with a lace overlay, detailed belt, a halo hairpiece, and a cathedral veil (it was absolutely *stunning*) I loved every bit of my dress and accessories. The veil and hairpiece were pricey, but I felt like the quality was really good and I couldn't find anything like it anywhere else.

As MOB, the selection of a wedding gown for my daughter the Bride, was very important to me. She lived out of state, and so appointments were a challenge. Bridal Beginnings was able to accommodate her schedule and went the extra mile to schedule her alterations w/the seamstress. Lisa, our stylist was wonderful. So polished and professional, she had a great eye for what would look fabulous on my daughter, and the Bride loved her ultimate choice. It was not only a beautiful gown but one that was extremely flattering. She looked stunning in it. Amanda, the seamstress was also accommodating and did wonderful work in making it fit "just right". My only criticism is regarding the dressing rooms...there is some room for improvement there and I hope management will respond to update them and make them as attractive as the lovely gowns on their racks.

I never thought I would be one of those brides who cried when she found the right dress, but I did. The 2nd dress the my consultant tried on me, that was it. Looking at some of the early photos, I couldn't be happier with the dress selection, the veil and the alterations I received. Chris did my alterations and just made me look amazing. I had a great experience with Bridal Beginnings! When I first e-mailed them my budget and style I got a response quickly stating they could meet my budget and would search the store for dresses in my style. I soon received an e-mail with a list of dresses that were in and close to my budget that I could peruse before making my appointment. After responding which dresses I liked I made my appointment and believe I worked with Lisa. She brought dresses in and out for me and I was very comfortable with her helping me. After bringing me a few dresses and listening to what I liked and disliked about them she grabbed another dress and brought it back to me. She informed me I didn't have to try it on if I didn't want to, but it reminded her of me. I tried it on and LOVED IT! It was extremely flattering and was able to come in a corset back since that's what I wanted. It came in under budget and they were able to order it with the length pre-guessed. It's not a complete science but now I'll be getting a dress that hopefully needs no alterations, is under budget, and absolutely beautiful!

I can't say enough about this place. Dorothy was amazing! They have a great selection, really something for everyone but especially a bride who may want something that's not as popular among the designers currently. I for example chose an A-Line gown that I have not seen at any places so far. The appointment length is just the right amount.

Bridal Beginning provided my daughter's wedding dress, veil, and belt. Guests at the wedding remarked that they had never seen such a beautiful dress. It fit her perfectly thanks to a wonderful seamstress at Bridal Beginning! They also provided 10 bridesmaid dresses, a flower girl dress, and a mother of the bride dress. The dresses were all beautiful and the service was outstanding. Sarah, our consultant, was so patient and helpful. She spent a lot of time with us, and you could tell she sincerely wanted everyone to be happy! Everyone was so friendly and helpful-- the receptionist, the seamstress, the other consultants and Sarah. Bridal Beginning made my daughter's wedding so special! Thank you!!!!

I came to Bridal Beginnings on a whim and exhausted from trying on so many dresses over the weeks at other businesses. I was over shopping for me and we actually went there for my bridesmaid dresses. After we tried some bridesmaid dresses on, my bridesmaids convinced me to see if they had any dresses that interested me. So I told Jess, the woman helping us, what kind of dress I was looking for. She brought me in a few dresses and I tried them all on. The second (or third, I can't remember now) was it! A beautiful Maggie Soterra. My bridesmaids and mom's jaw dropped. I tried on a few more just to make sure but I kept comparing them. That's when I knew that was my dress.

She then put a veil on me after I gave her an idea what I may be looking for. I loved my veil just a little more than I loved my dress. Jess was FANTASTIC and was so good with everything. She made me feel at ease and walked me through the decision making process.

I went for a fitting a few months later and I convinced my mom to try some dresses on as she was having no luck. Marissa helped us that day and the third dress she put on was it. It was the perfect "mother of the bride" dress and she got so many compliments the day of my wedding!

The alteration process was fantastic as well. Everyone there is so easy to get along with and communicate with. They truly are there for you and to help you. I was to pick my dress up the Tuesday before my wedding, this was 2-3 weeks after the last time I tried on my dress. I had dropped about 10 lbs and a size or 2 and they were able to fix it and my dress fit like a glove on Friday morning when I went to pick it up. They were booked since it was such last minute and they made sure to make room for me and never once made me feel rushed.

I would over and over again recommend Bridal Beginning to ANY bride, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, bridesmaid - anything! GO HERE!! I went to all the 'big name" places - they don't compare!

I purchased my gown and veil from Bridal Beginning. From my first appointment trying on gowns to my final fitting, the ladies at the store were amazing. I showed pictures of the exact dress that I wanted and they had it in store. It was the first picture I showed to the lady that was helping me and the dress I ended up purchasing. I also had my alterations done at Bridal Beginning. They were a little more expensive than I was exacting to pay but I knew they would do a great job and they definitely did. My dress fit me like a glove and I loved it!

I actually found my dress at another boutique but wasn't happy with the service I was receiving there so I ended up working with Mattea at BB to order my dream dress. We also got my bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride dress, and flower girl dress, all of which were discounted because my dress was purchased from there. Dorothy was my sales associate and helped me pick out dresses, sat down and talked to me about what I really wanted and brought back plenty of options for me to try. She also let me browse the floor and search for my own dresses, which a lot of places don't let you do.

I had another appointment scheduled that I needed to get going to, but right before I left we spotted a dress to try on.. it was THE ONE. I almost didn't want to go to my next appointment (at Ann Gregory - don't even get me started) but would have felt bad canceling so close to the appointment time. We thought it would be smart to try on a few more dresses just to compare. After an unbelievably underwhelming visit to Ann Gregory, we came right back to buy the dress that I had fallen in love with.

Dorothy was with her next appointment, so Sam stepped into help and was so kind and sweet! She sat with the buyer and myself to make sure we were ordering everything with the correct measurements and went over what to expect after ordering.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place and I would send any of my friends there who are looking for a dress! I can't wait for my dress to arrive - and if the alteration service is as good as my first experience, I have absolutely nothing to worry about.

I went to 2 other stores prior to Bridal Beginnings and having worked at a bridal store as a sales associate, I knew what to expect but still no idea what I wanted. The dress I ended up getting, I had tried at the previous store and almost bought there, but I just wasn't sold. Lisa worked with me at BB and I hadn't told her about the dress at the other store and let her pick the first 3 dresses for me. The 3rd dress was the one that I tried on at the other store and with Lisa's knowledge, eye for detail, vision, and creativity, we were able to customize the dress to be EXACTLY what I wanted. She special ordered options for an additional appliqué for me to chose from and was very communicative throughout the process. I still like my dress is the most beautiful dress I've seen and even with all of the pictures from our wedding, I still don't think there's enough of this fabulous dress! The process couldn't have been easier and I couldn't have picked a better dress.

The entire staff was very nice. Lisa who was my bridal consultant, listened to what I wanted, looked at all my pictures, keep my budget in mind well selecting dresses for me. She made suggestions, was not pushy at all. She find me the perfect dress and kept me within my budget. she quickly figured out what looked good on me and what didn't. She never rushed me in or out of dress. There selection of dresses was excellent and has anything you could imagine. I throughly enjoyed my experience with Bridal Beginnings.

I highly recommend them! They have such a huge dress selection and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I went to 3 other bridal shops before going here and I wish that I didn't waste my time at those other shops. I should have came here first. Their service is wonderful! The only word of wisdom or caution that I would give brides is that their alteration prices are super expensive. Expect to pay at least $400-$500 (if not more) for just the hem, bustle and taking it in a little on the sides. But the lady that does the alterations is a true pro and worth every penny! Saida is the best and she did an amazing job on the alterations and in a short time too! She was friendly and great at her job, so it made it less painful to pay a high price for such great work! I'm so glad I bought my gorgeous dress from such an awesome place!

Bridal Beginnings was not the first dress shop I walked into. I had been to 4 other salons previously, and had no luck at any of them. At each salon, the attendants helping out felt pushy, trying to pressure me into choosing a dress that I was less than happy about. But when I walked into Bridal Beginnings, I felt completely relaxed. Carol was helping me out, and before she even asked me what type of dress I was looking for she sat me down and asked questions about my wedding. What was the theme, what were the colors, what was the feel of the evening going to be like? From there, using my budget and my dress style preference she pulled dresses off the rack for me to try on. The FIRST DRESS she had me try on was the one I fell in love with. She listened so well and understood exactly what I wanted!! Carol helped me to find the perfect dress for me. I would highly recommend that anyone in the Pittsburgh area go and see her at Bridal Beginnings!!

Lisa F. was absolutely wonderful to work with! I took in pictures of dresses I liked and she immediately understood the look I was going for. The appointment went so smoothly. I didn't feel rushed or pushed to try on a dress I wasn't interested in. We also purchased our bridesmaid dresses here. Karen was just as wonderful as Lisa! She took in all the opinions of the girls, and found common ground. Not exactly easy when working with a group of girls! They all loved her! Additionally, I had my dress altered here. Although I feel it is a bit expensive, the quality of work cannot be beat. I had custom lace straps made from excess material of my dress and you would never know the dress didn't come that way! It looks beautiful! My seamstress was extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease over the fit of my dress. Overall, I would definitely suggest looking at the Bridal Beginning for your wedding dress!

Bridal Beginnings was absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! The people there were so friendly, and they nailed down finding me my perfect dream dress. I went into Bridal Beginning with my bridesmaids, as well as my mom and aunt. I had a bad experience at another salon, so I was hesitant about what to expect from the day. I was so incredibly pleased with the service I received, as well as the dress I chose! Sam was my consultant, and she was absolutely fabulous! She took into consideration all of the different things I was looking for, and brought out tons and tons of dresses that fit the bill, as well as some others that she thought I might like to see. Lisa and Pam at Bridal Beginnings are amazing. I bought my dress from another store and about six weeks after ordering it I was online and found another dress (same designer) that I loved more! Don't do it ladies....stay off line after you pick your dress! Before making the switch I needed to try on the new dress. The store I ordered from didn't have it for me to try on but Bridal Beginnings did. I contacted them and explained the situation. Knowing that I was not going to be purchasing a gown from them and knowing that time was a pressing matter they went out of their way to fit me in to their already crazy busy Saturday schedule. It was so amazing to me how willing they were to help even though they knew it would not be a sale for their store. They just wanted to make sure that I had a great wedding. Such an act of generosity and kindness. End result is that I was able to switch my dress selection and am now getting the dress of my dreams. Thank you so much Bridal Beginnings!

I went to the bridal beginning for the trunk show they were having and was nothing but impressed. The store was beautiful on the inside with beautiful dresses hanging all around the store by designer so we were able to walk around and look at them while I waited to be taken back. I had a great experience with Bridal Beginning (I did not use their alterations department though). Lisa was my main sales assistant, and she was incredible. To all of you soon to be brides (whether you are in Pittsburgh or not) I would highly recommend purchasing your dress at Bridal Beginning. From the start of my experience to the finish the customer service I received was truly "over the top." I had been to many bridal boutiques in Pittsburgh (my hometown) and Atlanta where I currently reside. After trying on over 35 dresses, Dorothy, the consultant at Bridal Beginning brought me the first and last dress I ever tried on. From start to finish my experience was nothing but superlative! It meant a lot to me to buy my dress in Pittsburgh, even though I anticipated difficulty in setting up the multiple fittings and transporting the dress, however, the team at Bridal Beginning not only eliminated those concerns but truly went above and beyond to make it a fabulous experience! I went to Bridal Beginning for my wedding dress and had a wonderful experience. I will say to the previous reviewer that if you found a dress online for a much cheaper price it was probably a knock off of the real dress that you fell in love with. Personally, I would never purchase a dress online for fear that there would be a problem. Wedding gown designers do not sell their dresses on line, they all sell through an authorized vendor to protect their name and their product. Bridal Beginning was very fair with their pricing and believe me I shopped around. I found that the same dress that I fell in love with was pretty much the same price at every store I called. So lesson to those of you still shopping....be aware of cheap gowns online. Go to Bridal Beginning and get the ACTUAL dress of your dreams. Also, my seamstress Deb was wonderful...my dress looked and felt like it was made just for me after my alterations....she is excellent! I recommend her to everyone who goes there.

I went to Bridal Beginning because of a dress I saw at a bridal show. I ended up buying that very same dress from there! I know there are some reviews indicating the staff at this store is rude, but I did not have that experience. Everyone at the store was extremely kind and made me feel like the most important bride in the shop. I ended up also getting my alterations done at Bridal Beginning. The seamstress was very friendly and VERY good! My dress was quite a challenge to alter, and it was done without a flaw! I also purchased my bridesmaids' dresses from Bridal Beginning. The dresses were perfect and the they were less expensive at Bridal Beginning than they were at other places!

My dress consultant Leslie was the sweetest women! She was so helpful & took all the info I gave her about my day to find me the perfect dress!! (which was the 1st dress she showed me!!) I tried several on but she was very good at placing me in a dress for my body type, I LOVE my wedding dress! My seamstress was amazing too!
