Wedding Bridal Party Makeup/Hair

They did such an amazing job! I did not feel stressed once on my wedding morning. I would recommend Jess to anyone - She delivered exactly what I envisioned, and made me feel so confident. Bailey and Elizabeth were also so gracious, introduced themselves to me, and were genuinely so excited to be a part of the day. They all made the morning go by so smoothly. Everyone looked stunning!

They were amazing!

I booked Bridal Beauty Detroit for hair and makeup at the beginning of 2020 for my June wedding. We ended up postponing our wedding to 2021 and Sylvia was very kind and flexible when it came to changing our date. On the day of my wedding, Cheryln did everyone’s hair and my makeup. We accidentally blew the fuse in our room and waited 30 minutes to get the power back on, but she still finished everyone’s hair and makeup early! One of my bridesmaids has curly hair which can sometimes be tricky, and Cheryln was able to style it beautifully! I personally have very fine hair that’s difficult to style, often doesn’t hold a curl, and doesn’t have a lot of volume. She put my extensions in and I was so happy with how much volume my hair had. It also held the style and curls all day! As for my makeup, I did the airbrush foundation and my skin looked super smooth. I cried multiple times that day and I still had my makeup fully in tact at the end of the night. Overall, my bridesmaids and I felt beautiful and were really impressed with Cheryln and Bridal Beauty Detroit.

I felt so pretty!!

I'll be upfront: I am not a makeup person. I am not a hair person. My hair is basically the same every single day, and I don't wear makeup.

But of course, on my wedding day, I wanted to feel like a princess. And holy crap, they did it! They were so fantastic about keeping my makeup light, but still making me look beautiful. They didn't pressure me to do anything out of my comfort zone. And they were so sweet! They really cared about my day.

They were also really flexible. We weren't sure if my grandma would be able to come, but as soon as we found out she could, they made it work and fit her into the schedule.

The best part is that they traveled to our venue, so I didn't have to worry about getting everyone to a salon and back in time for pictures. There was no extra cost for this. Talk about a load off my mind!

These guys are so great. I cannot recommend them enough.

Oh. And my hair and make-up stayed all night!

Experienced, accommodating, personable

The ladies at Bridal Beauty Detroit are very skilled. They are polite, understanding, creative, and knowledgeable. Sylvia was thorough with communication and making sure that I was in the loop at all times. She was also very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Kim and Liz work very well together. On the day of the wedding, they kept everything on schedule. They were also very supportive and encouraging.
My only complaint is the from the hair/makeup trial. My appointment was in the evening and the salon I went to was closing at 8. So I felt that I did not get enough time with the makeup trial to discuss what I wanted and see the end result that I was looking for. I just wish I had more time on that day, especially because of the $100 fee for the trial. That being said, my wedding day could not have gone smoother and the end product was Amazing! I would highly recommend their services.

Bridal Hair and Makeup - Very Efficient and Professional

Definitely would recommend this bridal hair and makeup company to the brides out there. They travel to your location to help you and your ladies look fabulous. All with a very professional approach and efficient styling techniques. These stylists are pros! Sylvia the owner is great to work with and attentive to my specific needs. Excellent work and many compliments on my hair and the makeup showed wonderfully in the pictures.

Wowed and Elated

I love Angela! She is a beautiful person and was willing to do any style I wanted! She looked through a few inspiration photos I had and knew exactly what I wanted! I was wowed by the trial and especially elated with the hair. It is amazing what she can do! The makeup trial was super helpful to have because my eyes were sensitive to probably the eye shadow primer. I talked to Sylvia the next day and we decided for the day-of to use another product I was used to. I also decided to not wear false eye lashes for the day-of, to avoid any unnecessary irritants, because my eyes are sensitive.

Kimberly helped Angela on the day-of with hair. It was a great time and everything went smoothly! My mom, two bridesmaids, and sister-in-law all loved their hair and makeup. The airbrushing looked great and well-blended on all of our skin colors.

I did bring powder to touchup with on the day-of, but I didn’t need to use it, even with crying! I only reapplied lipstick as needed.

Overall, I am extremely happy with Bridal Beauty and would hire them again. It was such a relief and pleasure to have someone else do your makeup and hair for such a big event.

Amazing!!! I would recommend Bridal Beauty to everyone!!! Sylvia and her team are truly wonderful. The wedding day can be a bit stressful but starting it with Sylvia and her team put us all at ease. We had a fun and relaxed morning with them. All of the ladies that she brought were extremely friendly and offered helpful hints as to what would look the best based on the individual and the dress that they were wearing. And the compliments that day were endless from our guests.

Our one big snafu come wedding time was that we had to change hair stylists (long story) within a month of the wedding date. I was so grateful BB was available, even on short notice, and Sylvia was so accommodating! She immediately sent over the paperwork and scheduled a preview so we weren't rushing around last minute. My stylist (Angie) is THE MOST amazing person! Very flexible, open to any input-- a really talented and charismatic person. The whole team was polite, prompt, and made my bridesmaids look amazing! I'm so grateful to have worked with the BB team and would recommend to all brides!

I'm so happy that I chose to hire Bridal Beauty Detroit for my wedding day! Sylvia, the owner, was so kind and responsive from the moment I first inquired, and through the whole process she always seemed to be one step ahead of me-- I would think of a question, go to my inbox and find an email from her addressing exactly that question! She was abundantly communicative and I always felt that I knew exactly what was going on and what my next steps were. After my trial with Kim, I knew that both my hair & makeup were going to look amazing on my wedding day; what I didn't know was how much fun we were going to have with the Bridal Beauty Detroit team! From the moment Kim, Christy, and Elizabeth showed up at the hotel, the suite was full of laughter and conversation. They arrived right on time and I was amazed by how quickly they were able to do high-quality work: they kept us right on schedule, and everyone looked beautiful. Kim helped me relax with a much-needed scalp massage before she got to work on my hair, and even though I had completely changed my mind about what I wanted since my trial, she was able to create exactly the hairstyle I imagined. She was so warm and supportive, and really eased my stress and helped me stay calm and relaxed. I also can't commend Elizabeth's skilled makeup work enough; she is truly an artist and made every single person (all the bridesmaids, my mother & my husband's mother, and me!) look and feel absolutely beautiful. We were sorry to see these ladies go when they finished up, and I feel so lucky to have had them as part of my wedding day. I loved working with Bridal Beauty Detroit!

The owner, Sylvia, was so attentive. She answered all of my questions very quickly and kept in touch leading up to the day. She set me up with Kim, who I just adored! Kim made me look like a fairy!! Sylvia and her assistant from Bridal Beauty did a great job for the wedding of my husbands daughter and her wife to be, plus the bridesmaids and both mother of the brides. They both were very accommodating,professional,polite, flexible with any scheduling changes that may have arose and punctual. Sylvia was also kind and generous to me that even though I didn't pay for any services for myself she applied a make up base foundation so I could feel pampered as well. I would recommend Bridal Beauty for any occasion from weddings,family pictures,graduation photos or wanting glamour shots done.

I found Bridal Beauty through The Knot in December before my August wedding. I was getting married in Milford, MI, but I live in Chicago. When I found them, I asked if they could get me in for a last-minute trial so that I would not have to come back to town another time. They were very accommodating and were able to get me in before I left. After my trial, I had no doubts about makeup. The team arrived at my parent's house around 7am on the day of my wedding to do hair and makeup for 9 of us. They set up super quick and were able to stick to the timeline perfectly. Everyone looked wonderful! I could not have asked for better hair (by Kim) and makeup (by Elizabeth) for my wedding day!!

Sylvia and her staff were awesome. Our event was on 12/12/15. We had both hair and makeup done for 11 woman.. Some of my guest had blow outs, some had updo and others had some curls placed in their hair. Everyone looked amazing. The makeup looked amazing as well. I couldn't have been any more pleased. Christy did the hair for me, all my bridesmaids, and both mothers, and everyone looked wonderful. She was able to work very well with the large age gap of my girls (ranging from 14 to 37)...all of their hair fit their age perfectly. Elizabeth did a great job with the makeup for everyone as well. Everyone got airbrushed and looked wonderful and nothing ever smudged all day. My mother unfortunately had broken her nose 3 days prior to my wedding and had a huge scrape on it and two black eyes that Elizabeth was able to cover with ease. You couldn't even tell in the photos at all!

I called Bridal Beauty just a couple of weeks before my wedding because my original makeup artist cancelled on me....what a blessing it was that he cancelled!!! Sylvia worked with me and arranged to come to to us even on such short notice. She did a fabulous job! She made our look!! Sylvia did my Aunts make up. My Aunt was so excited! She was VERY nervous because she never had her make up done before. She LOVED it!!!! Sylvia read the room and was able to adjust to each one of us. Bridal Beauty Detroit is fantastic! They traveled to me and had a one time fee for airbrush makeup which allowed my entire bridal party to receive it!It was a bit last minute as for my wedding there was some issues with a previous vendor, but I am so happy I switched and that they were available! They made me feel so comfortable and even helped to keep me calm during the getting ready affair when things got a little stressed! Had hair and make up done at St Johns Inn for my wedding and it could not have been better. They were on time, professional, did exactly what we wanted, and the whole bridal party and mom, aunts and friends were transformed into beautiful women!! Felt like we were royalty. We loved working with bridal beauty on location. I had 10 bridesmaids and a tight schedule in the morning because we had 2 ceremonies. All of them looked stunning and all the artists were there on time (and bright and early!) to accomodate our tight schedule! I loved my hair and make-up the day of my wedding! Jordyn was very accomodating and did my hair (as well as multiple other bridesmaids/mother of bride/mother of groom) for both ceremonies and make-up for the evening ceremony - we absolutely love her!

I worked with Sylvia to set up my wedding party of 8 Bridesmaids plus Mom's and she was extremely helpful and flexible. We were living out of town at the time and she went way out of her way to help me get my trial set up and make sure everything was perfect. Sylvia did my makeup and Brie did my hair and both looked absolutely stunning. I could never have pictured either looking that fantastic. My girls all loved their hair and makeup as well - everyone looked beautiful! It was also so comfortable having the team come to my parents house instead of having to rush around to the salon and back! I would highly recomment Bridal Beauty Detroit to anyone!

Sylvia and her team are fantastic! She was very responsive which I loved! She was so pleasant to speak with as well! The day of the wedding, our Artist was Amber and she was AWESOME!! SO friendly and was quick! I showed her a picture of the makeup/hair I wanted and she did such a great job! I felt so beautiful that day and my makeup lasted ALL day! We did the airbrush makeup and it really does last...even through the happy tears :)

I would highly recommend Bridal Beauty Detroit to any up coming Bride in the area. It makes the day so much more relaxed with them coming to you and they do a great job! It was a great idea to treat myself, bridesmaids, and mom to some pampering :)

Our beauty expert Kim was great - she was able to keep the day of relaxed and stress free - even reminding the Bride to break for lunch! Excellent work! Really enjoyed how professional and flexible the hair stylist was. She even helped on another member of the bridal party with bags under her eyes at no additional cost. Everyone looked beautiful!!!

So easy to work with. I set up my trial and wedding services with Sylvia and she selected Elizabeth as our makeup artist. She was a dream to work with. After my trial, there were a few things I wanted to change for the wedding and on the day of she made everything perfect. My girls and I looked amazing and we couldn't have asked for anything better. It was great that she came to the house and we could all get ready in a relaxed familiar atmosphere. Anything that reduces a brides stress is great :) I would recommend their services to everyone!

This company came very highly recommended by many brides. Upon research I found the prices to be the best in Oakland County. I wanted someone to come to the hotel so that the bridesmaids and I could have a relaxing morning. Kim did my hair and make up and all 4 of my bridesmaids' hair. Everyone had a picture of how she wanted her hair and they were all copied perfectly! My airbrush make up was exactly what I wanted and was even given a tube of lipgloss for touch ups. All emails and calls were answered within 12 hours. I recommend this company, especially Kim to anyone who wants to look amazing on their wedding day!

Sylvia was a pleasure to cordinate with, easy and reassuring! Kim and Carolina did a beautiful job making sure all my 'maids not only looked beautiful, but felt beautiful! Kim did an amazing job on my hair! She created the most unique, one of a kind look in moments and I had so many compliments on it! I'm not easily pleased with my hair (it's NOT easy to updo) and I had the best hair I've ever had, for one of the most important days I ever will have! Congrats ladies, you did one heck of a job!

I had a trial with Slyvia and her girls before I booked them. I had Elizabeth doing my makeup and Natazia with my hair. I was really nervous since I am one of those people that never like their hair done up. I brought photos of examples and pictures of my dress but it turns out I didn't need any because these ladies rock!!!

I LOVED having Elizabeth and Natazia show up at my hotel room the morning of and beautify my girls, mom and myself while we got breakfast and had some coffee and mimosa's. It was so relaxing and they did an amazing job. I was so happy with how I looked!!!

I would recommend Sylvia Farmer and Bridal Beauty On-Location to any bride and wedding party. I was first introduced to them when I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding. The whole experience was wonderful. They do a very professional trial at their studio in Plymouth. They listen to what you want, but they also make suggestions on what can look good as well. I like that about them. When you look at a hair style in a magazine, you have no idea if it will look great on you, but they know their stuff and can tell you what will look fabulous. They are professional, punctual, and well organized. Most importantly, they are genuinely nice women who care about what they do.

I went for my hair and makeup trial and i loved my makeup it was beautiful! My hair i was a little worried about because it didnt stay very long. but the day of my wedding my hair and makeup was 10 times better! Mandi did an amazing job and i felt so beautiful! I got so many compliments and I loved the fact that they came to my house to my my hair and makeup it made it so much easier and stress free for me.

Hair trials were $40 each but Kim let me try as many styles as I wanted at each trial. I didn't know this when I requested Kim, but she only does trials at the Oakland location (in Waterford) which was quite a trek for me.

$500 for hair and airbrush makeup for myself and three bridesmaids at our hotel. Kim was absolutely fabulous! She made all of my girls and myself look amazing. I kept wanting her to fix one tendril after another but she did it with a smile on her face. One of my bridesmaids is thinking of flying her out to Georgia for her wedding next year. She taught my MOH how to remove my veil without messing up my hair and left us with extra supplies in case of an emergency.

Jenn did a great job on my hair and make up and her and Sylvia were very nice and a pleasure to work with. I loved my hair and make up trial, and since I am not used to having full make up and my hair done Jenn was very eager to fix or improve anything I wanted.

On the day of it was so nice to not have to leave the house and get my hair and make up done at home. Jenn arrived promptly on time and got started right away. She did a fabulous job on my maid of honor and had no problem adding an eyebrow shaping and make up for my dad's girlfriend even though she originally only booked for hair.

My hair and make up was even more fabulous than my trial, and she had no problem with making any color changes I wanted. I loved my airbrush make up, it took off a lot of stress knowing I didn't have to keep running to the bathroom to check my hair or make up. My hair stood up perfectly to wind, hugs and dancing, in fact once I was finished in the chair, I don't think I even thought of my hair or make up the rest of the day, which is a very good thing. I give bridal beauty an A+

Kim handled all my sisters questions the entire time very well. Was patient and even showed my BM how to do their eyes from now on. She asked what type of look everyone was going for and made it happen. Everyone is still commenting about how fantastic my one bridesmaid looked. She event commented about how she looked better than she did in her own wedding! Kim also handled the fact I cut off my hair two months before my wedding very well and was ready to go!

The professionals were quiet, kept on track, redid or added if we were not

This was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Bridal Beauty came to our venue and did all our hair and makeup - no need to worry about driving and parking somewhere and then getting stuck in traffic. They did a great job - the Ladies all looked spectacular!

I didn't have my makeup done but I did have 2 girls come to do my hair and the bridesmaids hair and everyone looked amazing. Including my mom and my mother in law. And most importantly everyone was really happy with how they looked. And all of our hair held up all night.

The hair dressers and make up artists were fun and talented but most importantly ON TIME! I had 10 Bridesmaids + myself and mom to get out the door by noon. We started hair / makeup around 7:30 and were done by 11:15! I was so happy because then we got to take some pictures at my house with our robes hair and make up done. Everyone looked fabulous. It was a great experience, I would definitely recommend Bridal Beauty Detroit!

Bridal Beauty did a great job for my wedding! My make-up and hair was flawless, and my bridesmaid, mom and nieces looked great, too. The services are expensive, but the quality is excellent and it was so nice to have everything done on-site. I hired Bridal Beauty to do on location hair and make up for myself and 6 others. They sent a team of two awesome ladies, Lindsey and Mandi. Lindsey picked up on the style that all the girls had in mind, and every single one of them had gorgeous hair. Mandi was in charge of make-up and made everyone look great. She also took pictures of everyone during the make-up process and Sylvia sent them to my email the day after the wedding. They are amazing pictures and I really appreciated the extra "souvenir" from the day. The airbrush make-up lasts all day (and is cry-proof!) and it doesn't feel heavy or gunky on your face. I don't normally wear a lot of make-up and was worried about it. So if you are on the fence like I was, go for it. It is a little pricey, but I splurged on it. I cut corners on the flower budget to be able to afford it and it was completely worth it. It made for a completely relaxing morning. Sylvia (the owner) was also great to work with on the phone and was very accommodating. :)

Bridal Beauty On-Location Makeup and Hairstyling is the most affordable and the best service that you could ever have for your wedding. They are all very professional. While they do want to accommodate all that you want for your hair and make-up they are honest enough to tell you if they think the look you want will not look good on you. I was extremely pleased with how everyone's face turned out for my big day from mine, my bridesmaids and my mom. They all looked beautiful and most importantly lasted all day long. They made it very convenient day of by having us prepay so no one had to be worried about money on such an already stressful day. They were very timely and were able to finish my large bridal party of 10 with plenty of time for the ceremony and pictures. The ladies at Bridal Beauty provided absolutely perfect hair and make-up for me at my wedding. My hair was breath-taking - in fact I have a close-up picture enlarged on my wall at home specifically of my hair. I went in for a trial style, and ended up changing my mind 4 times, they were accommodating.
There was some confusion with our payment methods which would be a bit of a concern. The mother of the bride was not 100% pleased with her hair and make-up, but other than that, everything was perfect. I love that the girls came to our venue for the hair and make-up, it was beautiful and relaxing.

Kim did a fantastic job in working with me on exactly what I wanted for make-up and hair in the trial runs and on the day of the wedding. Being in general very detail-oriented, I was appreciative of how Kim listened and worked to transform my vision of make-up and hair into reality. The day of the wedding, Kim was great in providing general tips and also managing the schedule. If I were to offer some constructive feedback, it would be that some of the communication and scheduling of the trial runs were a bit delayed and/or confusing. Also, a heads up that they only take in-state checks and (since that was not made clear and I live out of the state) I had to scramble to get cash to pay for services on the day of.

They were good to work with. I was happy with my hair and make-up as well as the hair/make-up for my bridesmaids and the mothers on the day of the wedding. They seem a little pricey for the trial run and for the hair/make-up on the day of, but it was great having them come to us in our hotel room. I found that the hair person didn't really ask what I wanted, she seemed to go into her automatic "bridal hair" mode and just started curling my hair, which I didn't want, but I ended up liking it and had it that way for my wedding. I really liked the make-up woman and I liked the airbrush make-up as well. It came out great in pictures, but felt very light and natural and it lasted all night, even after an outdoor ceremony and lots of dancing! My hair held up too!

Bridal Beauty was awesome! While they are a bit pricey, it is so convenient to have hair and makeup services come right to your door!
Sylvia, the services coordinator, was very easy to contact and quite prompt with any changes we wished to make in our plans. Our stylist for the Day, Kim, was awesome! It was positively shocking how quickly and professionally she did hair for myself and my four bridesmaids. I honestly expected to sit in the chair for hours, and it only took about an hour for each of us! Kim was also very responsive when my maid of honor was not "thrilled" with her hairstyle. Kim redid the updo right then and there! Talk about great service!
The end product was great! Myself and all my ladies looked AMAZING! :)

To be able to have my hair and make-up, as well as the hair and make-up of the bridal party and the moms done in my hotel suite prevented the stress of having to go to a salon. Amber did my hair and make-up and she was incredibly sweet and went out of her way to accomodate my requests. Amber and the other stylist were both prompt to show up and kept all of us on the pre-determined schedule so that we weren't having to rush. Sometimes I felt that Sylvia (the coordinator) was being a bit pushy and abrupt, but in the end, she got things done for me and that's what I needed from her.

Bridal Beauty created beautiful hair and make-up for my bridesmaids and I. I could not have been happier with my bridal style. The payment process could have been a bit more organized. I also think that with the amount of money spent on the style, a practice style should have been included or even at a reduced price.

I really wanted to be able to have the hair done on location so that the party could just relax and not worry about timing as much during the day. So we used the traveling stylists from Bridal Beauty who came to our ceremony site. They were perfectly on time! It was exactly how I expected, fun and stress free! The first girl to go did not feel very happy about her hair but thankfully Amanda was amazing and we had planned plenty of time and it was able to be completely changed and turned out great! The cost was a bit high since some of the styles were pretty simple (especially my Grandma who has incredibly short hair) but the traveling aspect of the company was amazing! Thanks for your help, Amanda!

Working with Bridal Beauty On-Location made my day run very smoothly and most importantly - turned my vision into a reality. Angela, one of the stylists, was absolutely amazing at ensuring each lady had her vision realized in a way that was professional and receptive. Some of the bridesmaids weren't sure what their visions were, and she made sure to help them identify one that would match the wedding and also their personalities. She went above and beyond! The company itself is very professional and responsive, and communication is very easy and trustworthy. Having the stylists come TO YOU makes the day run perfectly, and they are professionals at their craft and go out of their way to make sure the day stays on track without being overbearing. Not only did I feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day, but I also felt calm and stress-free because of their contribution!

Overall, the services provided were good. As the bride, my hair and makeup were exactly what I wanted them to be and matched that of my trial. Kim did a great job on my naturally curly hair. Additionally, my bridesmaids were all satisfied with their hair and makeup. One suggestion though for others using Bridal beauty is to ensure that you are not shy about speaking up for what you want. They are not mind readers. My bridesmaids were very vocal about what they wanted and this worked well. The ladies of Bridal Beauty were very punctual and professional and fun to work with.

Bridal beauty on-location was amazing. In addition to providing high quality, professional beauty services, they are very friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend them to any bride. They will make sure you look exactly how you would like on your wedding day. Trials are a definite must, and they'll even take photos so they can replicate the look on your wedding day!

I booked Bridal Beauty about a year in advance before my wedding with out a makeup trail. If I had waited until after I had my makeup trail, I would have never booked them. My mom and I went for our makeup trial and paid 50$ for 5 minute makeup job. Jordyn was our makeup artist for our trial. She did not color match our skin, left streaky airbrush marks, and both my mom and I looked extremely washed out. You could hardly tell that we had any makeup on at all. Some times that is a good thing, but we looked like zombies. The whole trial appointment was Jordyn trying to up-sell us a 20$ false lash application at 7:00 at night. I could have done a better job myself. I requested to have Jordyn removed from our event. Sylvia obliged, but she knew we were unhappy with our trial and never offered a retrial, money back, or any discount. I was terrified for my wedding day. At the last minute I did ask if we could get the girls done an hour faster then originally requested. Sylvia was wonderful about that as well. She said no problem, and added another girl to her lineup. The billing was strange. All of my girls were paying for their own applications and Sylvia requested that I leave her my credit card number just in case but could pay cash on the day of. I was thinking that we had a terrible trial and don't want to pay until we were satisfied. She also tried to overcharge us due to changing prices. Patti, Elizabeth, and Sylvia showed up for my wedding day. We had quite the bridal party to get hair and makeup done. I will say that Patti and Elizabeth did a great job on all of our hair and makeup. I was very happy with the service by those two ladies. For the most part everyone was happy. Sylvia did a tattoo cover on one of my girls arms that came out looking like a bad bruise and had to be fixed using our own makeup. She also wanted to charge us for services that weren't performed, and insisted on applying lip color before the girls ate lunch. I wouldn't use them again.

I had 9 girls including myself (the bride) getting ready and they put me last. I was really upset because they made me late leaving the house and getting ready. i feel that i should have been one of the first to be done and they had their own agenda. to top it all off, one of the stylists left before people were done to go to another wedding!, I lost picture time at the house and the church as a result because it made the limo also late picking up the guys. it threw my whole morning off and made me really upset on the biggest day of although the quality was superior it cost me memories that i can't get back because of their lack of time and prioritizing.

Everything was great as far as the bride's make up, and the person was on time.
There were few things need more improvement:
1. My mom and my bridesmaid don't have great skin, and we assume the make up supposed to cover the red/ black spots. But it came out you can see the spot under the make up "right after the make up was done". We were trying to tell the person to cover those areas heavier, and that's the time she showed me she was irrated.
2. In the end of the trail, I was trying to figure out the total price since there has different price for single order of air brush, hair, face or order them all together. My person just told me: "just give me 100 deposit, and pay me $430 on the wedding day". She doesn't take any second to calculate the total for me. She wasn't rude at all, but it was really rush, not a very good service.
3. I sent the information of my make up location and time to the owner few weeks before the wedding. One week before the wedding, the make up person sent me the e- mail and questioned me about the location; somewhere someone drop the ball.
4. Here is the thing that I was kind upset. I ordered make up for 5 women: 2 moms, bridesmaid, maid of honer and myself. The person only had two set of eyelash; so my bridesmaid didn't get any of that (moms decided they don't like it). A highly professional make up person should always prepare more than just enough; 2 sets for 5 people? That told everything! I did prepare extra money for her service, but I didn't give it to her because of this point. And she showed me some attiude again.

The owner is good and does care the service. The make up person I saw one time at the bridal show was good and approachable as well; but not the one I had for my wedding.

Bridal Beauty on Location is the only vendor I had issues with in planning my wedding. I had a hair trial set up, and the stylist Melanie could not do the hairstyle I requested (a simple low bun type updo). I have thick hair, and she could not get it to stay. It would not have even made it down the aisle. She told me she would look up YouTube videos to get ideas on how to do the hairstyle. This made me very uncomfortable, and it bothered me that I paid full price for a trial where I walked out of the salon with my hair down, like I did when I walked in. Sylvia was there to see all of this. It took a LOT of convincing to get Sylvia to change my stylist- she was very resistant and insisted over and over that Melanie could do it. My mother basically had to suggest that maybe we should find someone other than Bridal Beauty on Location for services before Sylvia offered another stylist. I understand that she was trying to protect her employee, but as the client, I felt like I was making a big deal out of nothing which clearly was not the case.

I had booked Bridal Beauty on Location to do hair and make-up for all the ladies for the wedding party. I was sent a schedule ahead of him that was supposed to dictate how the morning went. I had the appropriate number of people ready to go at the right time. The girl who did my hair was very pushy when doing hair and I was very disappointed. She had someplace she had to be and rushed through everybody, including me. As the bride, I was last and had the least amount of time spent on me, the bride. The final product looked nothing like my trial. My trial took and hour and looked great but on my wedding day she rushed through my hair and I was done in 20 minutes. My hair completely fell by the time the church cermony was over. She was supposed to be servicing our group until 12:30, but was long gone by 11:20...I was so disappointed.
Mandi on the other hand was wonderful!!! Mandi did the makeup and everybody looked beautiful. My make up turned out better then my trial!! She even gave the little girls lip gloss samples to keep and that completely made their day! I would definitely recommend Mandi, but unfortunately not Kim.

All in all, do NOT hire this salon for your wedding or any other occasion.

I was married recently and was more than disappointed with the work from Bridal Beauty. The ceremony rolled around and my mother, one of my bridesmaids and myself got our hair and makeup done with this salon. They were absolutely horrible in almost every way possible. For my ceremony, I didn't look like myself, I had too much makeup on and my hair was too big in the front. Though, that wasn’t even the biggest problem, both my mother and bridesmaid were so unhappy with her work that they ended up re-doing their hair and makeup. My bridesmaids’ blush was so thick that it looked like someone slapped her. My mother’s bangs were supposed to be set at the top of her head and she said it was lopsided; while her makeup was rushed, her lashes fell off after 5 minutes and she hated the makeup work so much that she completely redid it. She used the same foundation for all 3 of us and we did not have the same skin tone. Her tools and airbrush were so dirty it didn’t look like they had been cleaned in weeks. She also used her fingers to smear eye shadow on our eyes instead of using tools. When she crimped our hair, she aggressively shoved the comb against our scalp to the point where it took days to comb it back out.

Not only was the salon artist not up to par but the salon owner was just as horrible. Almost 6 months before my wedding, I went in to do my trial and was shocked when the trial was over and she said I owed $200. At no point had she told me that the trial would cost money. At that point, I just chalked it up to a misunderstanding on my part then went ahead and moved forward with using this salon. Going into the 2-3 week point before my wedding, I asked the owner to send me an invoice with what I still owed for my wedding because she hadn’t contacted me in months. When she responded, she sent me a response that I owed over $300 in less than a week. With that amount of time left, THEY SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED ME; I SHOULD NOT have had to be the one to contact her. Long story short, the salon owner has EXTREMELY POOR communications skills.

We had Kim do a trial run for my daughter's wedding on her bridal shower day for myself (MOB,my daughter(bride), and a grandmother and we all looked amazing. On the wedding day we all wanted Kim to do our hair again but she told us she would only do the bride and that the women she brought were better than her at hair/updos. My daughter (the bride) looked beautiful however, the rest of the bridal party's hair looked awful. My hair had to be redone , my mother's hair looked awful, and 3 of the bridesmaid's hair had fallen out before the ceremony. I had several friends ask me what happened to my hair and my mother's hair. I would only recommend this service if Kim does the hair and makeup but cannot recommend the other stylists. I wish we would of gone to our own stylists at our local salon.

Judging by the website and initial communication, we thought Bridal Beauty Detroit would be able to help carry out our vision of our wedding day. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with many aspects of the day. First, for the amount we paid, I would have expected Bridal Beauty to respect my time and my mother-in-law's time more than they did: My mother-in-law joined us to do hair and makeup, and it was clearly stated that we wanted her to be finished as quickly as possible so that she could rejoin her son and the groomsmen as they got ready. Because the makeup artist did not arrive until much later in the morning, my mother-in-law was not able to rejoin her son until almost 4 hours after arrival at our hotel. Second, while I think that Bridal Beauty did an excellent job with the makeup on the Caucasians in my party, I was disappointed with their knowledge and ability to do makeup on the Asian females in my party (which included myself). Asian faces have somewhat different features, and as a result, look better with certain colors than others. I did not make suggestions to the artist about what I wanted, since they were professionals and I trusted that they had a better eye for this than I did. In retrospect, I probably should have been explicit about what I did not want. Third, I was disappointed with the hairstylist. She asked for pictures of hairstyles I was considering, but we did not have any discussion about whether she thought it would be good, improvements she would make on it, etc. While I did not have a hair trial, I would still expect cross communication, but there was no discussion beyond the few pictures I showed her. Fourth, in general, there was not very good communication between Bridal Beauty Detroit and myself. They sent me a timeline a few weeks before the wedding, which I was thankful for, but unfortunately, arrival times were not clear (and in fact, changed as time went on) to my wedding party.

The hairstylist showed up and got right to work, but sadly she just did not satisfy our expectations. Every single person either had to ask her to fix something afterwards, or just fix it themselves. The makeup artist showed up late and did not really listen to very specific requests. For the girls who did their own makeup, she actually had the nerve to try to tell them that she should do it because it'll look terrible if they do it themselves. Well, those girls looked the best! Every girl touched up their makeup afterwards too. Why did we even hire them? The bride had a trial that went well, but when the stylist finished her hair, it left the bride crying in the bathroom. Fortunately, we (the bridesmaids) all went back out and told her she was going to have to fix the brides hair, which she did. Even though everything worked out in the end, it was a huge disaster. The stylist used pump hairspray, which resulted in sticky frizzy hair. Have to wonder how much she knew what she was doing. Would definitely not recommend!

We needed an onsite company that would do my hair and makeup my mother's hair and makeup without mortgaging my house. The price for my hair and make up were reasonable, the price for blow-drying and curling half my mother's hair not so much. We decided to use bridal beauty because my sister in law had used them and looked great on her day. I should have heeded her warning that her wedding hair looked nothing like the run through.

For starters the stylist went to the wrong location. She arrived 45 minutes late which of course caused extra stress and rushing. My mother let me go first so that I would be able to calm down a bit. She was so late with my mom that my mom was not able to help me into my dress or get any pre wedding photos taken with me.

My makeup and hair looked good (Which is why I tipped her much to my mother's suprise). But the stylist didn't even curl half my mother's hair without being reminded to do it. She used cruddy mascara on her and didn't even do her eyebrows. My mother ended up fixing half her make up. I would definitely not recommend buying the lipstick from the salon. My drugstore lipstick lasted longer.

My mother contacted the owner (Sylvia) to confirm our day of appointments a week before and she basically snapped at my mother and told her she'd deal with it monday. After the wedding, we suggested a better form to direct her stylists to the right location because of the late situation. Sylvia made excuses and kept saying it wasn't her fault. (Instead of apologizing and saying she'd talk to the stylist) After minimizing and denying blame, she eventually sent my mother a gift certificate for services for bridal beauty redeemable within 6 months and non transferable. That would be a great gesture if her daughter was getting married again. Seems sort of empty and after the fact.

While I am happy with the way I looked, my mom was devastated and it denied us peaceful bonding time on my big day.

I am 1 year postpartum and have some hyperpigmentation from my pregnancy. I easily cover this with my MAC foundation and have not had an issue with any other artist. Sylvia made multiple rude comments to me, as well as made me look terrible. When I showed her a picture of my normal makeup she told me that I must have had a filter on the photo. I went upstairs, washed off her makeup, which I already paid for, and applied my norm, which looked way better. I would not recommend this artist to anyone. It was a waste of money and she made me feel incredibly self conscious on my first night out with my husband.
