I feel so incredibly lucky that I worked with Bridal Atelier Montclair for my wedding. My largest anxiety in wedding planning was finding the right dress. I was convinced it would take me forever and that nothing would be right. Once I walked into Bridal Atelier Montclair all this anxiety was gone and replaced with excitement. Rachel and her team, including Courtney who I cannot rave enough about, gave me such individualized attention so I felt incredibly confident on my wedding day in the perfect dress for me. They heard and supported my style, provided no pressure, demonstrated a clear passion for the wedding dress industry, and showed support and care through the process.
Bridal Atelier Montclair was the first location I went to look for a dress. I was a ball of anxiety but having a one-on-one appointment with incredible Courtney made that anxiety slip away. Courtney was not just trying to sell me a dress; Courtney was a clear artist with a love of wedding dresses and a desire for me to find the perfect dress for ME. She heard what I envisioned and was excited to help me find that vision. I picked out a beautiful Dana Harel dress that fit my unique vision. It did not have a train and I felt that missing detail was important to feel "bridal". Courtney helped sketch out what a potential train could look like with enthusiasm for this challenge. Courtney and Rachel went straight to the designer to create the dream dress I wanted for my wedding. There was no frustration or hesitation from their team; they simply made it happen.
As I started to plan my wedding color scheme and think about my bridesmaids, I reached out to Courtney for any advice hoping not to be a bother to her. Courtney enthusiastically responded and even created a Pinterest board to help my process. As someone who is not artistic and of course new to the wedding process this was incredibly helpful and so kind.
I met Rachel when I went to try on my dress one more time to confirm I did indeed love it. Rachel was patient, kind, understanding, and clearly knew every detail about her field. She reassured me with compassion.
Rachel clearly articulated when my dress should arrive prior to my wedding and created a fitting plan so I had my dates way in advance. With wedding planning in full mode, having a schedule was beyond helpful. Rachel was present at every fitting and provided expert advice and insight. Deb altered my dress to perfection. She was meticulous with every detail. Fittings were also scheduled individually, which made me feel like all my needs were met. Courtney popped by to see how my dress came to life, which was such a testament to her love of the craft.
I received so many compliments on my unique wedding dress from people who were at and not at my wedding. Bridal Atelier Montclair made that happen.
Wedding planning is stressful, Rachel and her team at Bridal Atelier Montclair made one of the possibly most stressful parts a joy and an incredible memory of the process. I'm incredibly grateful for them. -

Best Dresses-- Best People!
Rachel and the entire team at Bridal Atelier Montclair are absolutely amazing! The entire experience made me feel so special and like the team really cared about me. BAM was my first and last stop looking for a wedding dress! I loved the intimate experience at the salon-- it really makes looking for dresses feel special. Rachel and her team made sure my dress fit me PERFECTLY and were so helpful and communicative in making sure that everything was wonderful. I cannot recommend Bridal Atelier Montclair enough! -

Beautiful dresses, amazing service!
Rachel and her team are absolutely wonderful!! I found Bridal Atelier Montclair when looking for boutiques that carry Flora Bridal gowns, and the moment I stepped into the store, I knew I'd be saying "yes to the dress." Rachel was warm and welcoming, making sure everyone in my party was comfortable and involved while I was trying on dresses. And the selection of dresses was truly stunning. After going to at least 5 other places and not finding a single dress I loved, I actually fell in love with 2 dresses that day!!
I also did my dress alterations here and the process was seamless (no pun intended!). My dress arrived fitting perfectly everywhere but the bust (which was to be expected), but they were able to take it in so it fit me live a glove. I also purchased my jewelry here and it was perfect!! Highly, highly recommend to any bride-to-be! -

I could truly never have imagined a better experience picking out my wedding dress than at Bridal Atelier. Rachel and the team at Bridal Atelier are so amazing to work with. When I first started to look I was unsure of what I wanted, but Rachel helped pick the perfect dresses for me to try. The dresses at Bridal Atelier are so stunning and there is really something for everyone. My family, friends, and I had the whole Bridal Salon to ourselves each time I came in to try on my dress and do all of the fittings. We felt so comfortable and at home every time we came in. Bridal Atelier is THE BEST. If you want to have a one of a kind experience finding the perfect dress you need to come here! -

Rachel and her team are amazing!!!! I had to find a dress during mid-july right in the heat of COVID. Since they are a smaller shop this worked out perfectly!! One bride at a time and you can try everything on (which is what I did. I went to a few bridal shops before landing on this one, I was looking for a very simple and sleek dress. Rachel did her absolute best pulling every Anne Barge dress so I can try them- I ended up finding the most perfect dress/cape/veil. My entire wedding was raving about the dress!!!!!! Highly recommend this shop!!! Thank you soo much!!!! -

I cannot thank Rachel and the staff at Bridal Atelier enough for my amazing wedding dress! The quality and selection is unmatched by any other salon I visited.
Another salon had talked me into a different dress, and for months I couldn't stop thinking about the Kelly Faetanini dresses I had seen at Bridal Atelier. Rachel answered all my questions and made it clear that she was there to help me make the right decision! There was no pressure to decide. They let me know when there would be a trunk show for Kelly and made sure I got the perfect gown at the best price!
I haven't stopped smiling since I bought it! Thank you!! -

Rachel and her whole staff are just the most wonderful people to work with! She is so warm and kind, and made my whole group (it was quite large haha!) feel so welcome when we first came in to try on dresses. I never even went anywhere else. They were incredible from start to finish! They even helped me with alterations to my rehearsal dinner dress, and both dresses fit like gloves by the time they were done with them. Thank you all for being such a wonderful part of our wedding experience!!! -

The best experience!
I had the most amazing experience working with Rachel and Bridal Atelier in Montclair. Before I started searching for my perfect dress, I also did a ton of research on the perfect bridal shop. I wanted an intimate setting that carried amazing designers and gowns that I wouldn’t see on every bride. Bridal Atelier far exceeded those expectations. Rachel runs a beautiful shop in Montclair. She is smart and attentive, knowledgeable in her product and silhouettes perfect for each bride. She has an in house seamstress, who is intricate and seamless in her alterations. I looked forward to every meeting with Rachel and her team. I loved the entire experience with Bridal Atelier. My dress was absolutely perfect, I cannot believe the day has come and gone! -

So I actually found my dress at a bridal shop in NYC, but felt really pressured to buy it immediately and just made so uncomfortable by the sales associate we were working with, that I did not want to purchase my dress from that store. I went online and found that the designer, Kelly Faetanini, sold dresses in a few other shops – not super close to where I live in Queens, but I figured I would make the trip anyway. Well, I fell in love with Bridal Atelier Montclair and was thrilled to make this large, once in a lifetime purchase from the owner, Rachel Sweebe, who is so lovely, patient, thoughtful and just a pleasure to work with on probably the most money I will ever spend on one outfit in my life. I happily trekked out to NJ several times for fittings – but was so thrilled with the progress and final outcome that it was well worth the trips. Rachel welcomed my entire family into her shop –sisters, mom and step-mom, and even my grandfather at one point, and every person felt right at home. Rachel’s seamstress, Deb, is absolutely amazing, and was able to tailor the dress exactly right. The dress fit so perfectly on my wedding day – I could not have been happier with making the decision to use Bridal Atelier Montclair.Bridal Atelier Montclair's reply:

Rachel, the Owner, is truly a dream to work with, and exceeded all of my bridal dress expectations! I ended up making a last minute appointment at her store because there was a Kelly Faetanini trunk show that weekend, and she would have one of the dresses I had been eyeing.I went by myself as my mom lived further away and I had already gone shopping a few times with her, and I had no clue what to expect - well of course I had found the one! One of the reps from Kelly Faetanini was there and explained the customizations I could make to the dress, and I was sold. Not only we’re the customizations affordable, but Rachel was so kind to extend the trunk show an extra day for me so I could bring back my mother to see the dress! Needless to say when I brought her, I said YES to the dress! I was also able to bring my bridal party back a month later just to try on the dress for them, as I had already said YES. There is always only one appointment at a time, even during alterations which are done in-house with Rachel’s guidance. (Something that cannot be found at the larger bridal stores where you are just a number) I even hired the in-house seamstress, Deb, for my wedding/day of dressing. She came to my venue steamed my dress, my Mom’s and all of my bridesmaids’s dresses - she put my mind at ease that day, and was completely worth it! She walked around with me during pictures protecting me and my dress. Bridal Atelier Montclair was my best decision - thank you to Rachel and Deb for their professionalism, kindness, flexibility and warmth throughout the entire process! -

My experience with Bridal atelier was awesome from the moment I waked in till I left with my dress. I honestly went to this store thinking it would be out of my price range and planning to go the less traditional route like online dresses or BHLDN but figured I’d give this place a shot to appease my family. The attendant knew exactly what style I was looking for and brought me so many beautiful options. The prices were really in line with any other store I’ve visited and we got so much quality for the price , plus a dress I could not find anywhere else! In the long run a couple extra dollars was very worth it. I was not only happy with the way my wedding dress looked but I can honestly say I was pretty comfortable moving around in it, sitting and dancing! Would highly recommend Bridal Atelier! -

Rachel is a pro. From day one she gave me her undivided attention. She keeps all appointments private so there are never any interruptions. She listens to your vision and has beautiful gowns to choose from. She doesn't push anything on you and truly wants you to find the perfect dress for you. She is extremely knowledgable and would answer any questions I asked. Her attention to detail made this bridal experience one I will never forget. Not only did I purchase my dress there, but she helped me find the veil that looks like it was made for the dress! She even offered us a champagne toast after I "said yes to the dress". Reach out to Rachel and visit the salon. I promise you won't regret it.
