We got married at BRICK in April and it truly was the best day ever. We are so happy we chose BRICK as our venue. Lindsay was our planner and made the entire wedding planning process feel so easy and stress free. We talked about our vision, showed her some photos, and she brought it to life! It was better than we could have ever imagined. The entire day went so smoothly from start to finish and we just couldn’t have asked for anything more from Lindsay and the rest of the team at BRICK. We HIGHLY recommend this venue and planning team for anyone getting married any time soon. You will not be disappointed! -

We had such a wonderful experience at BRICK - our wedding turned out beautifully and everything ran super smoothly. We chose BRICK because we really loved the location and the look of the building, along with being able to have more creative control. We planned our wedding from afar, so we were especially grateful to work with Lindsay on the planning. She did such an excellent job of helping us with picking vendors, coordinating everything, and keeping us on track - especially with things we didn't even think of! One thing that BRICK doesn't have is a room to get ready in but Lindsay was especially helpful in figuring out logistics with using a hotel and travelling to the venue.
The actual day went wonderfully - the team and Lindsay did such a great job with keeping the day on track and keeping everything organized. What I especially loved was the time they took to make sure that as the couple we had everything we needed including alone time during the day. The barstaff were so much fun and the day ran so smoothly.
I would highly recommend BRICK and would choose it again! -

Our wedding at The Brick was everything we could have asked for and then some! From the start, Lindsay and her team made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. Lindsay’s “homework” documents were an incredible tool to organize all of our ideas and get on the same page about our vision for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. She broke everything down into actionable steps, making sure nothing was overlooked. Her vendor recommendations were spot-on, and her ability to work within our budget constraints while delivering the wedding of our dreams was nothing short of impressive.
The Brick is a blank canvas venue, which means you get to customize every detail—but it also means renting everything and outsourcing most of your vendors. Thankfully, they offer a bar service and a package for purchasing your own alcohol, which was a total game-changer for us. We loved working with their team to craft signature cocktails and budget our alcohol purchases. They helped us achieve a fun and generous open bar without breaking the bank. (Pro tip: We ended up overbuying alcohol, but it worked out perfectly as we used the extras as thank-you gifts and shared them with family the next day!)
The service on the day of was phenomenal. We were never without a cocktail in hand, and the team made sure we—and all our guests—were comfortable and cared for. They worked seamlessly with our wedding party liaison to ensure everything ran smoothly, so we could just focus on enjoying the day.
While The Brick doesn’t have a formal dressing area or green room, we used their office as “command central.” For two men and our FOUR outfit changes, it worked perfectly! For those with gowns, it might feel a bit snug since the space is shared with staff and their storage, but it’s definitely manageable.
One feature we didn’t expect to love as much as we did was their camera system, which monitors the inside and outside of the venue. It gave us a fun behind-the-scenes look at everything happening while we were hiding in the office before the ceremony. We loved watching our guests arrive and even got to monitor the dance floor hype level while taking quick breaks from the party!
From start to finish, The Brick’s team made us feel supported and valued. Their flexibility, vendor connections, and accommodating nature (including letting us visit the venue multiple times, even unannounced) made planning our wedding a dream. If I had one minor critique, it’s that they let us take the reins a bit more than we expected—sometimes I wished they’d stepped in to pull us back—but it’s clear they just wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted.
If you’re looking for a venue where you can truly make your wedding your own, with a team that cares about every detail, The Brick is it. Highly recommend! -

tl;dr: for folks who want to customize their special day/experience for themselves, and who want to work with the best professionals in the business, BRICK is the place for you!
For the folks who are looking at the positive reviews, trying to figure out whether they're legit or not--BRICK is the absolute BEST. My fianceé and I chose BRICK because of its flexibility in terms of hosting a large crowd (160+ people), its flexibility in terms of pretty much any preference we had, and a setup we thought would maximize the amount of fun we could have at our wedding (you could dance all night, no noise ordinance, multiple areas to hang out, etc., etc.). We got all of that in spades.
For the cost-minded: we chose this venue because we were frustrated by going to a bunch of wedding venues that charged a bunch for food and drinks, with a limited amount of flexibility in the layout, and would end up closing at ~10:00PM. We wanted somewhere that we could fill out the way we wanted it to look, while making sure that we didn't feel overcharged or undercut in any one aspect of the services we were paying for. We spent approximately ~40K in total on the venue, food, alcohol, photography, floral arrangements, furniture rentals, until just about midnight. Given that most other venues in the area cost around there for their base package, we were SUPER happy with this. Plus, we had the added benefit of seeing where every single dollar went.
The staff was nothing short of exceptional. We chose the "one month out" option for wedding planning, and were more than pleasantly surprised with that option. Lindsay was phenomenal. My fianceé and I were planning this wedding from the East Coast--Lindsay made our ideas and our vision come to life. She helped coordinate everything we could have asked for. She was at the dang church when we were getting married, helping coordinate! It was like having our own personalized special ops squad. The bartenders were fantastic--we had requested some specialized "His" & "Hers" drinks, and they went above and beyond on them. They're just wonderful people, whose good energy made the evening that much better.
The preferred vendors were also incredible--everything they did was exceptionally punctual, professional, and went without any hitch that anyone could have noticed. It's worth mentioning that BRICK's preferred vendors are folks they have longstanding relationships with, and as a result, the vendors know how to operate with one another, and in the venue, seamlessly. They also won't try to nickel-and-dime you; in fact, our florist Mike went so far as to last-minute help us out with beautiful arrangements for our bridesmaids when we realized we had mis-counted the number of bridesmaids that needed a bouquet! This is just one of the many examples of the vendors and staff at BRICK going above and beyond to help us out.
Just a wonderful, wonderful experience overall...can't recommend BRICK and the folks there enough! -

Our wedding at the BRICK was the best day of our lives! We got married this past summer on July 11th and we worked with Lindsay their wedding planner for the year leading up to the wedding. Lindsay is highly organized and positive. We chose the BRICK's "part-time" wedding planning option which was perfect for us since we wanted to be involved in the planning while still receiving guidance from the expert. We chose lots of the BRICKS preferred vendors but also branched out and chose some that we found so that the day was still a reflection of us. We also loved that we were allowed to choose food trucks instead of catering companies because it saved us a lot of money. Thirdly, the BRICK is very much a blank canvas. The brick walls and natural light are stunning on their own and it doesn't take much to amplify the venue with whatever decor you decide on. Our candle light and wild flowers were the touch we decided on and it was absolutely stunning when it all came together. We would recommend the BRICK to anyone who is looking for a beautiful venue with kind staff and the amazing Lindsay to help make their vision a reality! -

BRICK is an excellent blank canvas with plenty of open space to customize and decorate! They have a wonderful staff who were very helpful and informative throughout the entire process. We chose BRICK because we did not want to be constrained with our vendor choices, but we wanted to have plenty of options that BRICK and their staff were very willing to share.
BRICK's 24-hour rental was another selling point for us as we wanted the option to extend the hours of our reception (which we extended until 1am) and extra flexibility to pick up our items in the morning (which was nicely put together for us to grab and go).
We went with their partial planning services and got paired with Lindsay, who was incredible in managing our expectations and extremely valuable in the planning process. She was responsive to all our requests and was quick to provide feedback on what was possible. She was well-versed and experienced with all the BRICK vendors, which made communication feel very seamless.
The venue was everything that we wanted! We went for a modern tropical/boho aesthetic that was easy to apply with the interiors of BRICK. Lindsay connected us with a wide array of vendors that included (but not limited to): furniture, florals, signage, catering and desserts.
We had plenty of freedom with our layout. With 165ish guests, we were able to fit in a large dance area, a place to lounge, a bar, an ice cream cart, a photobooth and a fry bar. We still had plenty of space to fit in more if we really wanted to.
BRICK is BYOB, so you have full control of the type of alcohol and drinks you want to serve your guests. They provide garnishes and extra ingredients needed for the right cocktail, you just need to bring the alcohol. BRICK prohibits serving "shots" of alcohol, which was bittersweet for our heavy-drinking crowd. We avoided a lot unnecessary drinking which is what we wanted for our event.
BRICK only has 2 bathrooms, which did create some lengthy queues for our own liking. But Lindsay did give us a fair warning that might happen and even provided a vendor to rent out a portable restroom. Unfortunately it was out of our budget, so we dealt with the repercussions. BRICK is conveniently located in an area where there are public restrooms across the street as an alternative option.
Overall the process in booking with BRICK was very fulfilling and if we were to do it all over again, we absolutely would do it at BRICK. -

The Brick was the best place we could have held our wedding. You can completely customize the venue to suit your needs/wants, and the staff ensures everything goes off without a hitch! Lindsay was the absolute best throughout the entire planning process. We felt completely taken care of, and had no worries day of!
The Brick truly wants you to have your best day, and they could not have done a better job. All our guests complimented the food, the DJ (both preferred vendors of Brick) and said we should throw a wedding every year because of how much fun it was.
One thing to add, we are not from the SD area, so planning from afar was an initial concern for us. Lindsay made it all run smoothly, helped keep us on schedule and even made adjustments to the day of schedule as needed to ensure the day was perfect for us! If we ever do a party for vow renewals in the coming decades, we will 100% be revisiting the Brick to do so. -

If you’re looking for a blank canvas that you can design any way you wish, BRICK is for you! The entire team at BRICK is professional, communicative, organized, and a pleasure to work with. Our guests loved the venue location, the venue itself, and the bartenders. We honestly don’t think that we could have found a better venue for the price that we paid.
We definitely recommend paying to have Lindsay as your wedding planner because she made the entire process stress-free! We worked with Lindsay for about 1 year and she was the absolute best to work with! We were iffy on getting a wedding planner at first, but it ended up being the best investment we made. We planned everything through virtual means (Zoom, email) which means we didn’t have to physically be in San Diego, which is huge for us since we live 2 hours away! Lindsay is like the fairy godmother that magically makes all of your wishes come true! 10/10 would recommend :) -

In planning our wedding we were blessed to have met and worked with Lindsay. From the get go, her communication was top notch in making sure she understood what we were looking for as a couple, and made sure to offer sound advice when asked. We like to be detail-oriented and appreciated her fastidious approach. I cannot begin to say how beautiful and unique BRICK is and how amazing of an experience it was to have our wedding reception there. At first, bringing in all vendors seemed like a daunting task but Lindsay was able to keep us organized and on track throughout the whole process. She went out of her way many times to accommodate us and make sure we got exactly what we envisioned and we cannot thank her enough! All of the vendors that were suggested to us, including our catering company were incredible. We absolutely loved our experience at BRICK. A 24 hour venue, what is better than that?!? But the experience at BRICK just kept getting better and better. Friendly staff, great vendors, helpful and quick responses, great vision execution and wonderful day of set up and easy and quick next day clean up. With that all said our wedding was everything we could ask for and more. Even the plains overhead became a fun drinking game we kept going all weekend long and you didn't notice once the music got going. Our wonderful coordinator Lindsay was worth every penny and we know she was a big reason why everything went so smoothly. The whole staff at BRICK was extremely helpful and nice and we were introduced to most of our awesome vendors because we participated in a BRICK open house event, such a great option if you get the opportunity. I would definitely recommend hosting any kind of event at BRICK, especially your wedding! -

I LOVED this venue. I looked at a few other venues in San Diego and BRICK was by far my favorite. The location was great, right next to a lot of great restaurants and shops. My husband and I had our big wedding in June and when it came to finding a venue, it was a no brainer when we saw BRICK! We wanted something different that we can make our own, so knowing we were working with a blank canvas made our decision for us. Lindsay was extremely helpful and made the planning so smooth! As someone who gets easily anxious, I was calm and excited the entire time! Communication was easy and they were so quick to respond. Everything about this venue was bliss.
When we first went to San Diego we met with Victoria, extremely knowledgeable about the venue, the vendors, and every possible question we could’ve had. We had seen one other vendor after BRICK, but something about BRICK was special to me from the start. We ended up booking with BRICK for our wedding. We were looking for a coordinator and since we had already been in communication with Lindsay, she had to be the perfect choice so we went with her. From the moment we booked Lindsay to the final moment of closing out the venue she was pure perfection. She communicated, she was efficient, she got the job done, and not to mention has the sweetest heart and constantly made time to video chat me, call me, and email me. Sabrina & her bartenders were GOLD. The drinks were great, they were SO MUCH FUN and they did an absolutely amazing job. I have absolutely no regrets on this venue. From LA County to San Diego County, i’d do this again and i’d pick this venue over and over. Thank you to all of you at BRICK.

BRICK made our wedding so magical!
We cannot recommend BRICK and their amazing team highly enough! When we walked into the venue, we immediately fell in love and knew our wedding had to be there. We hired Lindsay as our coordinator and she went above and beyond to help us and make our wedding planning season so smooth. Every time we had our monthly "check-ins" we always left feeling so much lighter and confident that our wedding was coming together the way that we wanted. She had recommendations for everything that we could possibly need and she contacted and organized everything with all of the vendors for us. SO HELPFUL!
The day of the wedding, I cried seeing the venue exactly the way that we pictured and planned. All parts of the ceremony and reception were seamless and ran according to plan, which was all thanks to Lindsay and her team! Sabrina helped make amazing signature cocktails for us and we couldn't have been happier. Thanks BRICK for doing so much and making our wedding the most magical day of our lives! -

I’m so happy that we chose to go with this venue. It was only the second we’d looked at and it clicked right away. I loved that it was a blank slate and that I was able to pick my own vendors (although I chose most of the vendors they had suggested). Our experience was great from the tour, meetings and the actual wedding. I couldn’t have done any of it without Lindsay. She pulled everything together and walked us through the whole day. The entire staff was amazing and kind. Wish we could do it again! -

Incredible Wedding Venue!
We had such an incredible wedding at BRICK just last month. I wish we could do it all over again. The team at BRICK was incredibly helpful, we loved working with Lindsay as our wedding planner and coordinator, Sabrina the bar manager helped us create a beautiful cocktail menu and overall we are so so happy we chose to work with this venue. Thank you BRICK for making our day so special!! We went from Bali tropical ceremony to Bali tropical night club at night - see images attached!

Brick was a terrific venue for our wedding. The staff were easy to communicate with – we always got prompt, friendly responses. We loved having flexibility in bringing in any vendor we wanted. We got to have our wedding as late as we wanted – we originally planned to go until 12:30am! Last, we loved our bar staff! They went the extra mile to make our guests feel welcomed. When getting a drink at my cocktail hour, one bartender explained to me how he always checks to see each guest's reaction to the drink after their first taste, to see if he's mixing them well. The brick building was beautiful, paired with candles, it led to an incredibly cozy vibe. The lawn out front was also a great space for a cocktail hour. I would throw an event here again! -

Brick is one of the most unique places in San Diego. You can style it however you desire, and the urban/rustic feel of the property will really shine with almost any decoration. Being central in SD is popular with out of town guests, since Liberty Station is right next to the airport, has on site hotels/restaurants/entertainment, you can make your whole wedding weekend in one location, and everyone will be happy. The staff at Brick are professional and caring, and the other Epic vendors are the best in the business! -

Look no further for a rustic, industrial venue!!
BRICK was an AMAZING venue! It is the perfect space for a rustic, industrial, warehouse-style wedding that provides gorgeous market lighting and lots of air flow inside as well as a spacious lawn for cocktail hour and large parking lot for food truck vendors.
This venue is a blank slate, so you are able to completely design your wedding with any vendors you choose and any decor you choose. The only vendor you are not able to bring in is a bar service, however the bar you use is in-house and the bartenders are AWESOME! My husband and I had signature cocktails that they totally nailed and did the BYOB package so we could take the alcohol back home with us. Having the venue for 24 hours was the BEST part! We were able to go into the venue at 10am on the day of the wedding to start decorating and had the venue until 10am the next day so we could go back the next day to cleanup.
Lastly, most of the employees are so accommodating and helpful! While the bar manager at our wedding was tacky and unprofessional when my parents took tips around to the vendors, the bartenders were awesome and Victoria and Lindsay were extremely helpful from the moment my husband and I decided to book BRICK until after the wedding happened. 10/10 would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an amazing venue all around!! -

My daughter and her fiancé were married this past June and the celebration was held at Brick. I can't thank everyone enough for the amazing service we received from the staff and the gorgeous location that it was for this post-pandemic amazing celebration! Victoria, Lindsay and everyone else who made that night possible were absolutely fantastic! Friendly, professional, PATIENT with us!! They worked really hard to make sure our children's dream wedding came to life! And it really did in a big way! The Brick is gorgeous and the perfect setting for any celebration. As a florist, I work at this venue often. What I love about it the most is how much they care about other venues. They make it super easy to set up, giving you a huge window of time. THIS IS KEY! This is what allows vendors to go above and beyond for you, to make epic floral installations or take the time to make sure every detail is perfect. If your venue is giving your vendors 2 hours to set up, your wedding *will* be worse for it. They also let you hang flowers from the ceiling and provide the scissor lift to do so. This also saves you money, I don't have to rent one! :)
Of course the space is beautiful, the employees are super friendly and accommodating, and the location is central to San Diego... with... PARKING! Highly recommend BRICK if you're looking at it, go for it :) -

We work with Brick in Liberty Station regularly as a vendor and we have also attended several of our friends weddings there. We have been too many venues throughout San Diego and Brick is one of the absolute best! Every event we have attended has been the most magical and fun night.
A few reasons we feel this way:
1. The 24-hour rental is extremely beneficial to the wedding planning process and takes SO much stress off the delivery and pickup of all of the items rented/brought in for your wedding.
2. The best part about Brick, is their professional and friendly coordinating team! The weddings we have attended here have always been extremely well-coordinated and no detail goes unaccounted for when they're in charge of planning.
3. Location, location, location! Liberty Station is gorgeous and offers tons of good food options nearby as well as hotels. For my friend's wedding, we stayed in the hotel just down the street and had an amazing time.
All in all, if you're looking for the perfect place for your wedding, look no further! -

Amazing Versatile Venue
As a creative wedding vendor, there is nothing more telling about a venue than their flexibility in what you can create. My clients who get married at Brick want to be out of the box creative with their wedding and Brick is a space that can literally be transformed in to a whole new space. There isn't much we can't do here and absolutely love the professionalism of the staff and the cleanliness of the space. 10/10 would recommend this place for new couples to check out. I even got my sister to book Brick as her wedding venue this November! -

As Southern California wedding photographers we have had the opportunity to photograph 100s of wedding venues throughout Southern California, and work with their teams. We can say with 100% confidence that Brick is one of the absolute best. The venue is absolutely stunning and so unique. The space provides an incredible canvas for any couple to be able to make their own unique vision come to life. It photographs incredible too :)
Aside from the beauty of the venue equally important when selecting a venue, Brick brings with it an all-star team that ensure a very hands on and friendly experience that will make your day run smoothly and stress free. We can not stress enough how important this is, there are so many moving parts that come into pulling off a wedding and as the photographers we LOVE when our couple can truly step back and fully take in and enjoy their day knowing that everything is being taken care of for them.

Our wedding at BRICK was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The venue is a beautiful blank canvas that was easily transformed, we could bring to life our vision of what we wanted our wedding to be. The beautiful interior, location, being able to bring in your own vendors with so many customization options - all while keeping the party going past midnight with a 24-hour rental (something that we had a hard time finding in SD) - were just a few of the perks that drew us to BRICK.
The preferred vendors were an added bonus - all of our vendors had previously worked with BRICK, with the exception of our photographer, which made the process so smooth. Every single vendor we used exceeded our expectations and made our day so special (ArtQuest Catering, Tiny Victories for floral, Jenny Wenny Cakes for our amazing cake/dessert bar, Cedar & Pine for rentals, DJ Artform). But most importantly we are so grateful for our amazing coordinator, Mallory Garcia, and the Brick Beverage staff.
Brick Beverage went above and beyond - even a year later guests still talk about the incredible bartenders at our wedding. As the bride and groom, they went out of their way to make us feel special - always had our preferred drink ready before we got to the bar and made sure everyone was having a great time.
We also opted for the Coordination package and we are beyond thankful that we did. We were planning the wedding from out of state and everything still managed to go perfectly and with little stress all thanks to Mallory. From our initial meeting, she helped us stay organized and brought up the details we hadn't thought about. She was so flexible and quick to respond or set up time when we were in town and able to meet. She helped with the contracts and coordination of vendors, timelines, seating charts, etc., providing suggestions to help make our wedding even better. On the day of the wedding, she made sure that there was no stress on our end, she set up all of our decorations perfectly, helped direct guests, and stayed late into the night once everyone had left. She thought of every little detail - even dimming the lights or adjusting the AC throughout the night. Mallory and the BRICK team made sure to make our wedding dreams come true, and we are forever grateful :)

What an absolutely beautiful venue! My husband and I fell in love with this venue the moment we saw it and our wedding was just the best when we had it here in September 2019! You pretty much get the venue as a blank canvas and can make out your wedding to be whatever you want through different vendors. Getting all our vendors to work here was a breeze and we had a few new ones that BRICK had never worked with before. If you're the type of person that wants to completely customize your wedding with a variety of different vendors then BRICK is the perfect place for you! -

As a wedding planner, I love nothing more than a blank canvas like Brick! I had previously worked with the venue when I sold event rentals but I finally had my first experience getting to coordinate and execute a wedding from start to finish in the space. You have so much freedom to bring your vision to life and Victoria, Mallory and Ingrid were all helpful in the planning process.
I don't recommend couples to tackle this venue alone because there are a lot of moving parts and someone will need to handle that for you come the day-of. I have seen this venue grow to be one of the most sought after spaces in San Diego and I am proud to have been able to do an event there.
Mallory was our Client Concierge for this particular wedding on April 20th and she was great at answering our questions during the planning process. I hope to be able to work there again soon and look forward to working with their amazing team! -

Where to even start? BRICK is an amazing wedding venue, but their coordination services is really what makes it special. Victoria was our coordinator and I cannot thank her enough for all her hard work in helping make our wedding day perfect. Victoria truly exceeded any and all expectations I had when it came to a coordinator. She made my year of wedding planning fun, easy, and as stress free as possible. She saved us some much time when it came to researching and reaching out to vendors, and she offered honest opinions when asked. Victoria also took care of all our contracts and coordinating with our vendors to finalize our proposals. To have someone worrying about the little details for you, in addition to creating the perfect timeline for your big day, is HUGE in those last few weeks before your wedding. Hiring BRICK coordination was seriously one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. Hands down, if you're getting married at BRICK, add this service! It's a game-changer. BRICK is already such a cool and unique space that working with someone who knows it well and has connections with vendors really makes all the difference in transforming the space into your dream wedding. We had the BEST day ever and would pick BRICK all over again if we had the chance! -

Amazing venue and team !
Recently had my wedding at Brick and it was nothing less than the perfect day. My husband and I had the best day and our guests loved the venue. Work with Lindsay if you need help organizing everything and vendor contracts etc. it will literally make your experience so much better and less stressful. We also love Victoria!! She initially showed us the space and helped us make the decision on Brick vs other venues in the area. They have a great open bar option- make sure to go over all the rules and details because there were a couple things I might have made clear before the wedding as far as drinks (doubles, triples, etc.) I think Luke was one of our bartenders and he was great! Overall I’m going to say 10/10 you should book with Brick for your next event! -

I planned my sister's wedding here and it was amazing! Lindsey and her assistants were awesome! They were not only helpful but were always quick to return all calls and emails quickly to answer all questions and concerns we had. My husband and I wanted to find a wedding venue that allowed for flexibility with design and vendor choice and BRICK checked off all the boxes. We knew we found the right place after Victoria gave us a tour of both our venues: BRICK for our reception and CHAPEL (which they also manage in Liberty Station) for our ceremony.
The BRICK team brought my wedding vision and dreams to life. The different coordination packages BRICK offered was great since I had done a lot of planning on my part already. I chose Month-Of Coordination, which is a little bit more than just the month-of. Lindsay began her coordination the month before and helped me with planning I couldn’t do on my own. Her day-of coordination was stellar. She made sure that all of the decorations I provided were accounted for in a personal item list and then utilized everything I brought in the space perfectly. Lindsay, Victoria, and their staff handled our items professionally and no item was left unused. They were also super quick with tear down and made sure that nothing would be missing. One nice thing to point out during tear down: our DJ was still playing music for us and a song my husband liked came on. While he was helping Victoria with some of our decor, she noticed he wanted to go dance and told him to get on the dance floor. This just showed us that they really wanted us to enjoy the most out of our day, even when the reception was over. Lindsay and Victoria even gave me flexibility to schedule a pick-up date for some hanging items I couldn't take that night because I was leaving for my honeymoon. They made sure that my husband and I were hands-off during the wedding and they had the day go smoothly. Our vendors worked great with the venue, whether they came from BRICK's preferred vendor list or from our own sourcing. Our guests loved the food vendors that we chose from BRICK’s list. They had different bar package choices and choosing BYOB was the way to go for our beverage preferences. Sabrina, the beverage manager, and her staff were awesome. The bartenders were friendly and professional, and even told me how much they liked watching our games/dances. Every detail of our day was perfect and I could go on and on. I'd happily go back and do another event with them. Thank you to all of the BRICK staff for making our day perfect. -

My husband and I got married at Brick on 10/6/18 and it was dreamy!! Anyone who complains about the planes overhead must not have been having a good time at the wedding/party they were at because we barely even noticed them once our ceremony got underway. We chose the space because of the flexibility to choose your own vendors, the fact that there is no curfew and lastly, the location. Liberty Station itself is such a great spot with all of the restaurants and retail plus the proximity to the San Diego airport for out of town guests is so convenient. My husband and I are both event planners so we opted not to do coordination through Brick, however we worked closely with our venue contact - Mallory - and she was wonderful. She was super responsive and very helpful. She had great tips and insight whenever we were unsure of something or wanted to know best practices. We worked with all of our vendors and sorted out the logistics and then handed it off to a day of coordinator (freelance) who made it all come to life. We hired Brick Beverage for the bar and I would highly recommend them. Ashleigh was phenomenal to work with. We purchased all of our alcohol through BevMo and they delivered it day of and chilled. We had one minor issue during the reception when our lighting went out and had to be re-calibrated, but other than that I have no complaints. I highly recommend this venue and this staff! -

The only issue we had is we used their digital photo booth and the photos were never sent out to our guests emails. When I reached out to Ingrid about it she said she would look into it but regardless we will get a copy of all the photos that were taken.
Our wedding was two weeks ago and I am bummed because we still haven't received anything.
Brick is honestly one of the coolest wedding venues in san diego. Learn from my mistake and use someone else for the photobooth though. -
Ellie Sent on 11/01/2017We booked with BRICK because we loved the space. We did not pay for BRICK coordination which I'm sure would have made our experience more smooth. However, DIYers here and we were on a budget ($20k to be specific which we managed to stay within). My rating above for service is reflected in the fact that our representative changed three times in 6 months. I kept getting a new rep who wanted to go over all of things the other rep had already gone over - just inconvenient for us and seems like an easy fix with some note-taking/files. We were disappointed with the lack of parking day-of. Our wedding was on a Thursday and still several guests had trouble parking or had to walk a far distance. We had trouble with set-up timing. 10 am just isn't early enough for DIY. If you are hiring staff and a planner, go for it. If I could do it over, I'd choose a venue with earlier or day before set-up. Those couple of things said, we LOVED the security man who's there for the majority of the evening reception. He was so incredibly helpful and understanding. The space was gorgeous and everything came together beautifully. I'd recommend them but say to be cautious if you are on a budget. The venue cost is good but the timing is tight. Also, a special thank you to BRICK for the excellent vendor recommendations. Snake Oil and CC's Vintage blew us away.

We were so excited about booking with Brick for our August wedding in 2018. We had a large wedding with 300 guests and it was one of the only venues that could accommodate them and allow us to bring in our own food and really individualize our ceremony. However, we were left feeling so disappointed with our experience. In fact, we waited 9 months to write a review because it was difficult to put into words how upsetting our time with them was. Here are a few of the headlines:
1. Brick charged us for a forklift so that we could hang banners on the day of our wedding. However, when our planner arrived to use it, the tables had already been set up and BRICK refused to let us use the forklift. It would have been helpful for them to let us know that we could only use the forklift at the very beginning before any tables had been set up. This meant that all of our hanging decorations were not hung!
2. BRICK changed our planner at the last minute! Just two months before our wedding there experienced planner left and we were given a planner who had no experience. She was also unresponsive to emails or concerns. When we could get a hold of her she was blatantly rude on multiple occasions. Terrible!
3. We probably would have been fine if just the first two things were true... but the day of the wedding was INEXCUSABLE. BRICK requires that you have paid security. However, during our wedding, a man (a stranger walking through the parking lot) undressed himself and chased my young (5-9 year old) siblings and cousins trying to catch them. One of our wedding guests had to chase the man and call the police. The BRICK security guard did nothing and did not even know anything had happened!
4. One of the things that stood out to us as a bonus for BRICK was that it was a 24 hour rental. However, at about 11PM, the same security guard who had done nothing to help when a naked man chased children started shepherding our guests out to leave. He continued to make comments about how we were staying to late and hovered around our guests huffing and puffing. When my husband asked why he was commenting when we had a 24 hour rental, he replied, "well, most people don't actually do that!" It was so rude and made the end of our night frustrating.
All and all we would not use this vendor had we known the service wouldn't live up to the hype!
