Wonderful photos and a blast to work with!

We absolutely love the photos - Brian managed to capture many wonderful moments, both posed and candid, that really highlight our wedding. He's also a great guy who's fun to have around for the entire day!

Brian is the best!

Brian was the photographer for our wedding and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone! Brian’s engaging personality puts you at ease on what can be an otherwise pressure packed day. He brings the perfect combination of humor and professionalism, and you know that even if everything else goes wrong, at least the photos will be great. Any boy are they great! He captured all the best moments (including those we didn’t see ourselves on such a busy day) with both beauty and creativity. My wife and I loved reliving our wedding day when we first received the photos, and we look forward to continuing to relive that day through the photos for years to come.

Great photographer and pleasant to work with!

Brian was great to work with and provided us with some unique perspective photos. We used him for both our wedding and engagement photos. He is nice and easy to work with and helped us capture our emotions and happiness into some g\wonderful photos.

The story of how the Bride had unusual requests, and Brian Wolfe came to the rescue!

I couldn't thank Brian enough for all he did, and the beautiful work he developed. We knew we wanted to hire Brian two years before our wedding, from recommendation and others I saw! From the second we contacted him, he was responsive, professional, and fun! We had so much fun with him (even getting a beer with him before the big day! We didn't do engagement shots) and felt right at home for the wedding. We had two really big requests from him (on top of normal 8 reasonably priced hours of the wedding). 1. We wanted to do Sunrise photos before the big day, and we did! 7:30am the three of us braved the cold and took photos in our favorite place in Kalamazoo and Brian helped art direct everything, which was so fun to have! 2. Last minute our photobooth dropped out on us, but thankfully Brian stepped up. We actually asked to hire a third shooter and create our own, open-air photo booth! And I'm so glad we did. Those photos with all our friends are some we will cherish! Brian collects these awesome photographers who make the day so wonderful. All three were professional, super fun, and went with the flow so well! We couldn't thank him enough. Seriously one of the best decision of the day we made. As a "vendor" he was basically part of our wedding party!

Brian Wolfe. Superstar. Superhero. Camera guy. Dad Joke Superhuman. Combine any of these words and what do you get? Exceptional wedding photographer. Seriously. We met Brian on skype over 2 years ago when we were shopping around photographers (you were on trial, Brian. Hope you were aware of that). Within the first 10 minutes we realized how much we all get along and how easy it was to communicate. Music, nerdiness, lame jokes – you name it, we love it. We hired him on the spot! Brian drove all the way out to Chicago pre-sunrise to take our engagement photos. [Who does that?!] It was early. We were all tired. And it was cold. You wouldn’t know it, though, because Brian is a superhuman. Running ahead to find the right spot, rolling around to find the best angle, crawling through bushes to get that perfect shot. We were so happy we booked him for both the engagement and wedding sessions because he made the process fun and relaxing. We are naturally goofy people and he was able to capture all of it on film…well…digital film but you get the picture. (HA!)
On the wedding day itself, it was raining, No one knew if the outdoor wedding we had been planning for over a year would happen the way he had hoped (don’t worry, it stopped raining just in time). Who turned up for the whole day? Superstar Brian. He was with us from the early morning of getting ready to the late night of walking out, sweating from all the dancing. He was absolutely incredible. He helped everyone stay positive, was instrumental in organizing the group photos, and the photos he took were even more beautiful than we could have hoped. Brian was SO easy to work with. He made us feel comfortable, let us be our lame (read: awesome) selves and just documented the day perfectly.
We started this journey anticipating amazing wedding photos (because look at his site) and ended up with an awesome new superhero friend (we’re coming out to visit at some point. We swear).

Hire this guy. Lame jokes guaranteed.

My now-husband and I LOVED working with Brian. He was friendly, accommodating, and offered a lot of suggestions on pacing and timing of our day. Looking back, I'm not sure how he got the shots he did - he was invisible (in all the right ways!) and not a distraction in any way from the main event. He was willing to take some unconventional risks with our photos and played with light and backdrop in ways that made our photos stand out from the pack. Brian has given us the best wedding gift - memories we'll hang on to (...and display, and show off) for years!

Okay, it has been six months since our wedding. However, to me, it still feels like it was yesterday - thanks to the amazing photos we received from Brian. His photos perfectly capture the atmosphere, feeling, and tone of that day, making it possible for my husband and I to relive the happiest day of our lives by flipping through our wedding photos. Brian was such a pleasure to work with. He made my wedding party feel at ease, he joked with us which helped our smiles to come naturally, plus he had some seriously solid podcast recommendations if that's what you're into. Finally, one of the features of his service that I am so grateful for: he did not make us choose only a fraction of the photos to keep like many wedding photographers do. He let us keep them all. We have hundreds of photos - photos of details, guests, weird dance moves, traditional poses, and candid shots - all of which are important moments, necessary to paint a complete picture of the day that we will be able to share with our children, with their children, and so on.
Bottom line: I cannot recommend Brian Wolfe enough. If you are planning a Michigan wedding (even if you are a long-distance bride like I was), it's really a no-brainer. Go with Brian Wolfe and breathe a sigh of relief as you cross one more thing off of your wedding planning checklist.

There are so many excellent things Brian does as your photographer. He finds hilarious and emotional candid moments. He takes a picture of everyone invited to the wedding, so you have something to share with all of your friends. Most of all, he is so flexible. When you look at Brian's photos, it feels like you are reliving the experience. Thank you, Brian, from the bottom of our hearts.

I can't say enough positive things about Brian. He was incredibly professional but also a lot of fun to hang out with. He was very willing to work with us and attentive to our requests. Brian was able to keep us on track on the big day and rolled with the punches--when our ride for photos went missing, he offered for all of us to cram into his car to get us on location! His photos came out so beautifully. They're unique and artistic and we are totally in love with them. We'd consider getting married twice just so we could work with Brian again!

BRIAN!!!! He truly made our wedding day complete! We met with him early on and he helped piece everything together just beautifully! He was professional, but also liked to get to know his clients, so that the day was captured more personally. He was open to any ideas we had, but tweaked them so that the photos wouldn't be the generic wedding photos that you see everywhere. We shot our engagement pictures and later that evening, he posted a few sneak peeks for us to check out and share with family and friends. On the day of our wedding, he was there ALL. DAY. LONG. He met me and my bridesmaid at the hair salon and had 2 other shooters with him to capture the entirety of our day! He took tons of photos all day and seemed to enjoy getting to know the other guests, too. He remained professional and we can't wait to see all of the great shots he took!

Brian exceeded our expectations at every turn. We knew he would be a fantastic photographer especially after meeting him. We did not know he would create such a wonderful experience for us the day of our wedding! His playfulness, creativeness, professionalism, and responsiveness make for the perfect mix of what every person should look for in a professional photographer. Hiring Brian as our wedding photographer was one of the easiest decisions we made when it came to planning our wedding. Not only is he incredibly talented at what he does, but we instantly felt very comfortable working with him (we are both on the shyer side of the spectrum). He is very easy going and had no problems accommodating our tight wedding day schedule, capturing candid moments while also ensuring we had all our family portraits and planned photos. If you are looking for an outstanding photographer, look no further than Brian!

Brian is an amazing photographer and a complete pleasure to work with! He and his awesome assistant were punctual, communicative, and we all felt very comfortable and at ease with them. They were friendly, funny, and both had great artistic eyes! Brian was full of ideas, and was great at being structured and organized despite my (now) husband and I lacking in proper responses and not knowing exactly what we wanted.

Brian totally captured our day from the early morning til the end of the party. The photos were incredible, and he caught all of the little details that I so loved about that day and more. I feel very fortunate to have found him in the sea of wedding photographers because he is definitely one of the best!

I am so glad that my husband and I went with Brian to document our wedding day (and engagement shoot). He is very easy to work with and responsive throughout the entire process. Also - and probably most importantly - he is a fantastic photographer! I had a wonderful time reliving our wedding through his gorgeous photos this morning. The day goes by so fast and it's nice to know that those fuzzy little details have been beautifully preserved on film.

Professional, fun, creative, unique, impressive... I could go on and on. My husband and I could not be happier with the Wolfey experience. Brian is not only a talented photographer (our wedding photos were breathtaking), but he took time to build a realtionship with us so by the time of our wedding, it felt like an old friend was taking our photos. The depth and emotion in the moments he caputres are unlike any other photographer's work. We cannot say enough great things!

Brian was an absolute treasure of a photographer for our wedding this past May. He was a very clear and responsive communicator in the planning process and had tons of great suggestions & helpful tools for helping us organize our desired poses and pictures beforehand. On the wedding day, he was assertive with organizing our boisterous families and adept at “winging it” when we got crunched for photo time. We LOVE our resulting wedding photos – the lighting, posed and natural shots, backgrounds – everything! Absolutely THRILLED with Brian’s photography. I would recommend him far and wide.

Brian is an absolutely amazing photographer! After he showed us the first picture, I knew that he was the right choice for our wedding day. He took time to meet with us prior to the wedding just to understand our personalities and how we envisioned the day going. He was extremely accommodating, spent the entire day with us, and was able to make the most of the shorter timeframe due to the winter sun; he even offered to do a second shoot later so we could get more pictures of us in our wedding attire.

Brian has an incredible personality and an eye for photography that will capture your wedding day magically, because it will go by so quickly.

From the get-go, Brian was awesome to work with! He made the process so smooth and simple. He customized a package to fit our needs and was super accommodating. Brian responded to emails immediately making the booking process really easy. Brian sent us a list of photos that most couples want which was helpful in figuring out a timeline. He showed up on time and ready to work. The entire bridal party loved him and he made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable. He was able to get along with everyone from age 2 on up. Brian was an expert at negotiating the sometime tricky family shots and who to include. During the reception he was hard at work getting some great pictures but we almost forgot he was there- he blended in and was totally non-obtrusive! Brian even let us know when there was a "lull" in speeches, etc and the sun was just right and we were able to sneak away for some awesome pictures. Even better than all of the above were the pictures themselves. If possible, he made the day even more beautiful than it was in person. Brian has a gift for capturing moments in the perfect way, with the perfect lighting and sentiment. I will cherish the pictures forever. I would recommend Brian to anyone and everyone for ANY photography needs. He is so talented and kind. He makes everything so easy. In fact, we are using him again for family photos- I am spoiled now and will never go to anyone else. If you have any questions about Brian, please feel free to contact me. We could not have found a better photographer for our wedding. Brian was beyond superb, we're extraordinarily happy with our wedding photos, not just because they are photos of our wedding but because they're awesome! He captured everything from start to finish, no limit on time or photos, and managed to capture both the big-scene moments and the tiniest details of our wedding decor, down to the small mementos and elements our close family made for us. Even the dance photos capture such great poses and highlight everyone's best sides. His style is awesome, moving lighting sources around and grabbing the great color of the room.

Brian is extremely professional but even more so great to work with - it felt like we knew each other a long time and he was an old friend shooting our photos, even though we had only met once before for our (included) engagement photo session. Even when things were getting chaotic with trying to take group photos of 50+ people, Brian made it a lot of fun!

Seriously, just book him and cross off one of the most important items off your list!

Brian did a phenomenal job at our wedding. He was there for us when we needed him, but he wasn't pushy. He was extremely professional and thorough. Our family photos after the ceremony were painless because he was organized. Brian's services were worth every penny, and more. He did a perfect job.

I have zero complaints about Brian and no shortage of compliments to offer about him. He was great throughout the entire process, from engagement photos, through wedding planning, on the big day and after too. He was extremely personable and was easy to work with. In comparing him to photographers that good friends of mine picked for their weddings, he was far and a way a better selection.

Brian Wolfe is absolutely amazing! Everyone gets to see the details of your wedding except the Bride & Groom. You don't really get to take in everything on your special day. But to have a photographer like Brian who captures every moment is so important. When we got our wedding photos back I couldn't stop looking at them (still haven't). I was able to see our wedding day, how everyone else saw it. I will have these pictures forever. I think that the photography is one of the most important things to get right on your wedding day. If you want to get it right, go with Brian Wolfe (y) photography! You will not regret it!

Brian was such a professional photographer. He was very friendly and fun to be around the whole day. He really makes you feel comfortable and at ease while he's shooting. I trusted him with every aspect of the photography and the pictures turned out better than I could have imagined.

Brian was so wonderful to work with! We hired him to shoot our engagement photos and wedding and we could not be happier with the results! Not only did he provide us with AMAZING photos, but he made the entire process fun! Brian was an absolute pleasure to work with! From beginning to end, he has been the most helpful, professional, and friendly person we could have ever hoped for. Our pictures are absolutely amazing. Brian portrayed us like royalty! To steal his description- I felt like a Disney princess- dream come true, right girls!? He played a huge part in making sure that our fairy tale wedding was all that we could have wanted it to be. Brian captured literally every part of our special day. He was a blast to have around and made everyone feel comfortable (even my husband who is a total "man's man" and his crazy friends). We received our beautiful pictures back in an extremely timely manner, and I feel like I literally need every single picture posted around my house in every size :) He has great imagination and creativity, and even captured everything that I had specifically asked for. One of the details that I like most about his work, is that every picture from our photography spot is different. Everything from the photos of my husband and I, to groomsmen and bridesmaids, to the entire wedding party had it's own setting and feel to it, but they all flowed perfectly together and will look amazing once I finally do decide on where I want to put them up at! To top it all off, we feel like we made a great friend in Brian! We highly recommend him to anyone and everyone :)

Excellent photographer! I could not recommend him more. Not only did my wife and I get high quality and unique photos, but he made the whole process enjoyable. He was truly part of the group and made what could have been a hectic time a lot of fun. I would highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for a photographer.

We LOVE Brian as a photographer. We met him when he was doing a friend's engagement party and wedding and were so impressed with his work for their wedding that when my husband I got engaged, picking him as our photographer was hands down the easiest decision we made. He was so flexible with our requests, he came to Chicago to do our photo shoot and stayed very late at our reception to make sure he got all the pictures we requested. Whenever Brian is taking pictures it feels more like hanging out with a friend than someone awkwardly taking your picture for four hours.
Of course, the best part was when we got our pictures back. They were AMAZING!!!! Going through the pictures was just like reliving the wedding. Even our bridal party, families, and guests commented on how much they enjoyed our photographer. My husband and I can't say enough great things about him and would recommend him to anyone that asks.

Brian is an absolute pleasure to work with! He has an amazing eye for photography and a lively attitude that is contagious! We were very lucky to have had him shoot our wedding. When I was looking for a wedding photographer, Brian was recommended to me by a mutual friend - and I am sure glad that she did! Brian is an absolutely wonderful photographer, and a super fun person as well. We met Brian first at our engagement session about 2 months prior to our wedding. He is extremely personable, and took all of the awkwardness/stiffness out of the photo session. He captured us as we are, which is what I loved the most. He took the time to get to know us, our style, and made sure that our personalities shined through. He was accompanied by an assistant at our wedding, who was absolutely lovely and wonderful to work with. And because I didn't realize this was really important to me until I read it in one of the other reviews of his work, I'll mention it here -- during the ceremony and reception when all the events were happening, they were everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Everything got captured, but I didn't see them anywhere! That was really special, because I truly felt that I could be experiencing everything without feeling...watched, for lack of a better word. Highly recommend Brian for your photo needs!

When we first started planning our wedding, there was absolutely no question that Brian would be our photographer. It was the first “planning” call we made. Every step of the way Brian and his wife, Heidi, provided a positive experience. For our engagement shoot Brian was extremely flexible. He scouted the location with us and saw elements that turned out wonderfully. The entire shoot felt completely natural and relaxed. Brian has an amazing eye and countless ideas for creative shots. He also showed genuine interest in our ideas and truly captured our personalities. Our wedding was no different. Brian communicated with us regularly leading up to the big day and provided a detailed outline of his plans. He arrived early, was professional, flexible, organized, and interacted well with everyone involved- even learning names of the people in the wedding party! Everything flowed smoothly- photography was never a point of stress. Looking back through our pictures we were amazed at the shots he was able to capture. We never saw him during the ceremony or reception and yet he documented everything beautifully. We were also impressed at how quickly we received the finished product. We couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Brian and his assistant took absolutely wonderful photographs at both my engagement photo session and my wedding! The engagement photos were included in our wedding package and gave Brian a chance to get to know my husband and I prior to the wedding, which made things go very smoothly on the big day.

Check out his website to see examples of his wonderful work. We received an incredible amount of compliments on how beautiful our wedding photos turned out and it was all due to Brian's hard work and eye for beautiful settings. I would recommend him for any bride-to-be.

Brian is an excellent photographer and you will not regret hiring him. The pictures of our wedding are breath taking! He is also super flexible. We had a slight hiccup with one of our picture locations and we were able to work it out quickly and smoothly and still managed to get all the pictures we wanted. I cannot recommend Brian enough!

Brian and his wife, Heidi, were amazing. They were able to capture the most important moments of our day, as well as some very memorable candids. The structured family shots were very smooth and organized and Brian was very professional, yet he kept the mood light during this potentially stressful part of the day.

Brian was timely, organized, and kept us on schedule. He had an endless amount of ideas for creative shots and I think one of the biggest things that sticks out is, during the ceremony, I don't remember seeing him, but he somehow furnished all these amazing shots. During the reception I remember seeing him once because he came up to show us a cool shot he took. Other than him purposefully revealing himself, he was practically invisible; just like a great photographer should be.

We went with Brian for our engagement shoot, engagement party and three-day wedding. He possess all the qualities you want in your photographer.

First, he is very comfortable and casual. He went out of his way multiple times, travelled to different places for us and always had a smile on his face! We felt like we had known him forever. He adapted to the environment quickly, got to know our family and friends and took the time to get to know us outside of the work. By the end of the wedding, our friends and family loved how fun and tactful he was.

Second, and most importantly, his photographs are amazing. Our wedding was very long, Indian and very large (500+ people and four events!) He was able to capture precious moments and sentiments that we didn't even know about. He was all over the place, covered every person and took very artistic photos. We re-lived our wedding through his images and could not be happier.

Third, he is extremely professional. He was always on time to our events, often stayed late (because we started late) and never complained about waiting. He would come early to scope out the area and get to know the family members who needed to be covered. He also always found the most perfect photo spots regardless of where we were. He made us look good and we appreciate that! He also returned our photos to us in a timely manner and created easy-to-use web albums that we shared with our loved ones.

His blogs are amazing! We all really enjoyed the blog that he made documenting our wedding. He even went out of his way to learn about all of our traditions and describe them with the pictures.

Brian and Heidi (his wife) are both very kind and talented individuals. Their energy and enthusiasm really shows in their work. I truly feel like we became friends through all these experiences. He surpassed every expectation we had.

I highly recommend Brian Wolfe for any event!

Though I was not the bride (I was the bridesmaid and sister of the bride) as an amateur photographer myself I was in awe of Brian and his lovely wife Heidi. They were everywhere and nowhere at the same time. At one point, while my sister and her husband were having their first dance I was frantically looking for Brian because I thought he was missing the moment. All of a sudden, he popped out from behind a table, having been taking pictures the whole time. We got the photos back over the weekend and I was even more excited than I was when he was taking them. The details he caught and the anticipation before the ceremony began were incredible. There is one picture he took in the middle of formal family pictures I love the most. My sisters and I were being silly and letting our mom photograph us, her husband snuck into a couple of these silly pictures and lo and behold, Brian caught the moment, my mom photographing the three girls and my sister's husband in the background. It is by far one of my favorite wedding photos.

Brian is a friend from college and it was great to have him shoot our wedding. He was able to capture our day like we never could have imagined. He was great to work with and extremely flexible. Brian listens very carefully to your requests and wishes, and takes a lot of care to have your personality and feel of your relationship come through in his photos. Working with Brian was great. If I were to do it all over again I'd ask Brian to be my photographer in a heartbeat. He gave us the space to enjoy our day, our wedding, and our reception. We hardly noticed him throughout the main events. When it came time to take the wedding party shots and the bride and groom shots he made it all fun. we was very personable and very professional and more than anything the pictures turned out great. I have gone back through them multiple time because they are so much fun. They really capture the essence of the day. He was a great communicator and his terms of service are great. I couldn't have been more pleased.

Brian and Heidi did such a great job with our wedding and engagement photography. Not only were our formal shots beautiful, but they did such a great job catching candid shots and finding great locations and angles for artistic photos as well. My husband and I could not be more pleased with our experience with Brian (and his wife Heidi). Brian shot our engagement photos in Ann Arbor and then traveled to our wedding on Mackinac Island. Throughout our entire time with Brian he was professional and funny and made us feel completely comfortable. His shots are creative, fun, unique and memorable. Brian is a close friend of ours and we were thrilled to have him as our wedding photographer! Brian did a fantastic job with our engagement/wedding photos! He did an excellent job of using lighting and the environment to provide breathtaking photos. Not only is Brian a skilled photographer, he is great at making you feel comfortable while getting your photo taken (over and over on your wedding day). He is great at organizing people and working with all ages while adding comedic one-liners.

We're coming up on our one-year anniversary, and we decided we've finally had enough time to contemplate our review for Brian. We were impressed with his ability to capture unique images with artistic interpretations, while maintaining a traditional and timeless feel. He happily shared the full file digital images, so we've since made photo books and printed enlargements, without the traditional up-charge added by many photographers. He was fun, friendly, professional and an expert in his field, and we highly recommend him.
