User2432098 Sent on 11/18/2015Brett was an amazing, personable, and professional photographer. He showed up on-time and put me and my family at ease, working with us all. The extent of my happiness on that special day is obvious in all of our photos. He also took the time to get out his specialized camera. He tried a variety of different poses in various locations at our venue; all of which came out great! Honestly, I feel like he probably worked too hard! Our professional photographs were received in a very timely manner. We got them back before we returned from our Honeymoon! His prices are reasonable and totally worth it to capture your moments. -

My husband and I are not the most photogenic people in the world, but Brett made us feel comfortable and was able to get amazing shots of us. He immediately put us at ease and provided us with with hundreds of incredible photographic memories of our love story. I was surprised that Brett was able to capture parts of the wedding that I did not even get to see at my own wedding! Trusting Brett and his expertise was the best decision I made for my wedding. Jason and I truly enjoyed our experience working with Brett and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer! You won't be disappointed. Thanks Brett!

User2184538 Sent on 06/17/2015There is really no downside to hiring Brett as our engagement/wedding photographer (until we figured out we can't really use him again since I plan to only be married once). He's a pleasure to work with from the very beginning, during our big day, and up until the last photo was chosen to be printed. He would really listen to our requests regarding which important moments we'd like captured, and provided some creative ideas on how to do our group shots. Our wedding photos turned out absolutely amazing, and we would treasure them forever! I am recommending Brett to all my friends. Just reach out to him, and I am sure you will find him pleasant and will put any doubts to rest on why you shouldn't hire him. -

Erin Sent on 06/07/2016I was without a doubt more particular about selecting a wedding photographer than any other vendor, and I could not be more thrilled with our experience working with Brett! From our very first email all the way through the big day he was so easy and enjoyable to work with. He is extremely professional but also incredibly fun and laid back. He immediately put my husband and I at ease, which is no easy task since we are super awkward in front of a camera! As for Brett's style, we knew we didn't want your run-of-the-mill "posey posey" wedding photos, so we were immediately drawn to his artistic style. We just got our wedding photos back and oh my goodness he did not disappoint! Our portraits are true works of art, and the candid shots during the reception are absolutely wonderful. Every photo captures the feeling and vibe of the wedding, and I know that my husband and I will still be smiling and laughing when we look at them decades from now. -
Kim Sent on 01/25/2018Brett did our engagement photos, as well as the photos for our September wedding. We absolutely loved how both sets of photos turned out! We chose Brett because be has such a good eye for capturing the atmosphere/feeling of the moment, while also creating some gorgeous photographs. The online download system he has makes sharing photos with family and friends super easy! The photos did take a little longer than expected to get back, just wish we had a little more communication regarding the delay. Otherwise 100% happy with Brett as our photographer!

Looks like other couples here on Wedding Wire have had the same experiences that we had with Brett. Our first meeting with Brett was at an impressive office building conference room in Reston, VA. Brett was polite and personable, and we felt comfortable with him. We decided on a package that included engagement photos, wedding photos, and an album. We paid installments as was requested in the contract. Our engagement photo session was ok, although we could have used more direction from Brett on how to stand, where to place our hands, etc. Most of the photos looked really amateurish, with awkward poses and poor lighting. We ended up with only four out of about two hundred that we liked. Our eyes looked like dark sockets in so many of the photographs. We gave him this feedback in hopes this would be corrected for our wedding day photos. Brett did correct these issue and we were more satisfied with our day-of photos. We paid him our final installment before he left the night of our wedding. Brett told me we’d have our photos in 4-6 weeks, but quite likely sooner; that he likes to under-promise but over-deliver. Well, that didn’t happen and we started contacting him at about the eight-week mark. We got ZERO response from Brett. We tried calling, texting, and emailing him over a period of months. He did NOT respond. We even called his mother (who’s also in the wedding industry) to find out if Brett was ok. She said as far as she knew he wasn’t ill or in the hospital. Our venue also tried to contact him because they were the ones who recommended him. Brett never had the courtesy to respond to any of us. It wasn’t until a fraud complaint was filed with the credit card company that the pictures suddenly appeared in our inbox. No message or apology from Brett, just the link for our photographs. And now it’s nine months later and we never got our wedding album. This photographer should NOT be in the wedding industry where people are counting on him. Save yourself the headache and hire someone who will be responsive, respectful, and deliver what you pay for in a timely manner. -

Brett is a talented photographer, but impossible to get in touch with after you hire him. When we first contacted him for a quote, he was very responsive through email and quickly set up a meeting with us. After that, things fell apart. We had to email him multiple times to schedule our engagement shoot and to get our photos. A couple weeks before our June 2018 wedding, he wouldn't respond to any emails or calls. We thought about hiring a new photographer. Eventually, we texted him and got a response. He showed up to the wedding, and was very professional. But after that, it was an absolute nightmare. He never responded to any of our emails, calls, or texts asking when we would receive our photos for two months - we even tried to contact him through social media, but no response. We started worrying that something was seriously wrong and we'd never receive our photos from him. After leaving frantic voicemails and urgent emails, he finally sent our photos. At first, we were relieved, and then we realized he did a terrible editing job, and there was a purple glow around us in all of the photos. We've reached out to him to fix the photos, but after 3 months, he's never responded. Luckily, I'm a graphic designer, and I was able to spend hours fixing them myself, but it's completely unacceptable to not edit the photos when a client paid you to edit them. At the end of the day, we love our photos, but it was absolutely NOT worth the hassle of dealing with Brett. Please don't make the same mistake as us - don't hire him.
