  Incredible wedding day experience!

  We had our wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and reception here at B&C in November of 2024. During the planning process, Jama made every step of the way feel stress-free and responded very timely. I felt like she truly cared about making our wedding day special to us uniquely. She answered SO many questions (sorry Jama LOL) and made us feel informed. We had to make some last-minute changes, and she took care of it all! In the beginning stages of wedding planning while we were still shopping around for venues, I didn't have that same level of customer service everywhere else. We had to make some last-minute changes, and she took care of it all! In the beginning stages of wedding planning while we were still shopping around for venues, I didn't have that same level of customer service everywhere else. This was one of the reasons we went with B&C, which I am so glad we did!
  
  During our rehearsal day and our wedding day, we were asked if we needed anything too many times to count. They went above and beyond to ensure our day went seamlessly. Crystal, Abraham, servers, bartenders, and all the event staff were professional and accommodating! During clean up time, the staff were all so helpful to my family too.
  
  The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous which meant it did not need too many decorations. The string lights and white drapery were beautiful for photos. There were several gorgeous spots both indoor and outdoor for photos too! The flow of the space worked perfect with one room for the ceremony, then walk into the cocktail hour room, which flowed later into the reception room.
  
  We chose to have pies, cupcakes, and chocolate truffle favors all made by B&C and they were incredible! Our guests went on and on about how delicious the food was and that they did not leave hungry. I have a food allergy too, and they accommodated that as well.
  
  I would highly recommend B&C to engaged couples or anyone looking for an event venue. Thank you to everyone at Bread & Chocolate who made our wedding day so incredible!!!

  Fantastic Experience

  The wedding coordinators were so helpful, the space was beautiful, and the food was amazing! We got married on a Sunday so our rehearsal was Thursday. It was nice to have a few extra days in between to get organized! I'd highly recommend this venue!

  Best Staff Around!

  Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but the staff and everything Bread & Chocolate has to offer made our day run SO smoothly. Everyone we worked with was amazing, especially Kristen & Garrett (who we worked with the most). They anticipated all of our needs, were extremely easy to communicate with and solved any "issues" that popped up in order to execute our perfect day. I would have been lost without all of their help!

  Highly Recommeded

  I just started my wedding planning and automatically knew I wanted bread and chocolate as my venue. It is an absolutely beautiful building with such friendly staff. They have answered all my questions I have had so far and they are always on top of responding to emails. I can not wait to get married here!

  Best Venue Ever!

  CHOOSE B&C!! This venue is just beautiful and their catering was the best wedding food I have ever had (They have their own catering). We used the venue for the ceremony and the reception. It was all indoors (Thank goodness, it was 60 and raining on our wedding day in June) and was absolutely gorgeous with the exposed brick, wood beams, and string lighting. The staff at B&C were so professional and helpful. I would recommend this venue over and over again!

  We had a wonderful experience with Bread & Chocolate. Jessica was great to work with throughout the planning process. Everyone was so organized and I did not have to worry about anything from them at all. Beautiful venue, delicious food, wonderful staff. Highly recommend!

  Phenomenal!!! We casually walked into The Old Bag Factory one afternoon not even thinking of getting married in the area and ended up with the wedding of our dreams a little over a year later. The venue was absolutely perfect, well laid out, attentive staff, and absolutely amazing food.

  Phenomenal!!! We casually walked into The Old Bag Factory one afternoon not even thinking of getting married in the area and ended up with the wedding of our dreams a little over a year later. The venue was absolutely perfect, well laid out, attentive staff, and absolutely amazing food.
  
  We weren’t putting much stock in the food since we usually think most wedding food is mediocre but the food turned out amazing. We wish we had more time to enjoy the delicious meal! We have gotten many complements that this was the best wedding food our guests had ever had.
  
  We worked with Jessica to coordinate everything at The Old Bag factory. She is incredible! Very responsive and prompt! She suggests ideas that she knows will work with the space and timing while still helping to incorporate the ideas we had. She helped make everything so seamless. We have gotten countless complements on our wedding being the most fun and seamless wedding our guests have ever been to. This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing venue and amazing Bread and Chocolate Staff!

  I was recently married at Bread & Chocolate and everything was great! I wanted to do something different and they went above and beyond in helping me achieve my wedding. Everyone raved about how amazing the food was and how beautiful the space was. It truly did not need a lot of decorating. The staff was nice and attentive and I really have no complaints. It rained on our wedding day so we were SO lucky that we chose to have our wedding at such a beautiful location on the inside as that's where almost all of our pictures were taken. Thank you Bread & Chocolate for making our dream wedding happen!!!!

  Nadine was so easy to work with. She offered delicious food, and sent out Lorrie, a wonderful head server. Everything they did was considerate, creative, and professional. They were truly more than I expected, for which I am so grateful!

  Gorgeous in person and pictures

  I LOVED Bread & Chocolate as a wedding venue. The rooms are beautiful, and provided the perfect atmosphere for both the ceremony and the party that followed. Also, the staff was phenomenal! Jessica was always quick to answer my questions and emails, and the chefs were able to accommodate the wide variety of food allergies of some of the guests. The food was delicious, I wish it was a restaurant so I could have it again. There was plenty of room for guests in the building and in the parking lot. To be fair, we did not seek to add a lot of decorations other than table settings, because we felt that the building itself was sufficient decoration for our event. I would highly recommend this venue.

  I recently had my wedding and reception at Bread & Chocolate at the Old Bag Factory and couldn't have been happier.   We rented the whole venue for our ceremony and reception and my family and friends were in awe of how unique the space was and how smooth the evening went. The food is delicious and the drink packages are a great value - plus drinks served out of an old safe, who doesn't love that? My husband is vegan and they helped ensure our menu would work within his diet.
  
  My one negative comment would be that at times I felt like there were extra charges for every little thing and those definitely add up. That being said, I think that's the norm in the industry in general and overall the value for this space and level of service is very high.
  
  In short, it is an incredible venue that made my dream wedding a reality!

  My husband and I booked the Bread & Chocolate for our October wedding reception last year. The space is just absolutely gorgeous, and we loved every inch! We got some really beautiful pictures, and we didn't have to do a whole lot of decorating being that the space is so gorgeous as is. Also, the food was to die for! Not that I was able to eat a whole lot, but it was probably the best wedding dinner I have ever had. The management was switched around about half way through our planning process, but didn't cause any problems. The women I dealt with were very nice, accommodating, and professional.

  My husband and I booked the Bread & Chocolate for our October wedding reception last year. The space is just absolutely gorgeous, and we loved every inch! We got some really beautiful pictures, and we didn't have to do a whole lot of decorating being that the space is so gorgeous as is. Also, the food was to die for! Not that I was able to eat a whole lot, but it was probably the best wedding dinner I have ever had. The management was switched around about half way through our planning process, but didn't cause any problems. The women I dealt with were very nice, accommodating, and professional.
  
  The only real complaint that I have was the bar. Our bar package ended up being more expensive than our food (which is understandable) but the drinks were 99% soda. A lot of our guests (myself included) ended up with bubble belly because of all the soda they drank just trying to loosen up. The bartenders were not very nice or friendly, and seemed to cop an attitude when I requested a stronger drink. When they shut the bar down before dinner, the gates were slammed in my Mother's face (the MOTHER OF THE BRIDE!) when there was no one waiting behind her. They also cut off my husband's Father (FATHER OF THE GROOM) when he was clearly not that intoxicated. Neither of these people were driving that night. I worked in a bar for over 7 years, so I understand them having a job to do and look out for people drinking too much. I expected that for as much as we paid for the bar, we would have received better service. Their tip was also included in the price that WE (the bride and groom) paid and they weren't supposed to have a tip jar out, but they surely did. They also closed the bar without any type of notice. Which I also understand that the bar could only be open for a certain amount of time, but a little head's up would have been nice.
  
  Overall, the experience here was really good. We were just very disappointed in the bar.

Because of their inconsistencies we were forced to find another wedding venue 8 weeks before our wedding. Save yourself tons of headaches and look at the many beautiful alternative options for wedding venues in Elkhart County.
