  Documentary style and very easy to work with

  Katie was amazing! I expressed that I wanted to have a lot of fun that day and not be stuck taking a million formal shots. Her documentary style captured so many amazing moments that day while also getting me to take some quick formal photos which also look great. Highly recommend!

  The BEST Photographer

  Katie started taking photos of us in 2019 (engagement) 2020 (Wedding #1) and 2021 (Wedding #2) and she is the most professional, patient, and kind photographer. Katie captures every.single.moment and made us feel so comfortable! She does such a great job of staying behind the scenes, yet at the same time getting fantastic shots that feel like you're right there with us. Our group shots came out fantastic - she even got my 2.5 year old niece to smile in all of the pictures! Beyond that, her candid photos are why we picked her - she captures all of the best moments on and off the dance floor! She's incredible and I plan on going back to her for family shots in the future!

  Beautiful photos

  We are so happy with our June 15th wedding photos. Katie the owner/photographer was so kind and made me and my husband feel comfortable. She isn’t pushy with trying to pose for different types of photos. She shoots more candid photos which is what we were looking for. We love our photos so far. I highly recommend!

  Katie and Brave Hearts Photography are the BEST

  We had an absolute blast working with Katie! From our first meeting in November through our wedding day in July, Katie was awesome. She made our engagement session an unforgettable time and then absolutely CRUSHED it on our wedding day. She was so well prepared in terms of equipment and knowledge of my wife and I as well as our wedding party. She lightened the mood and was able to capture the joy of our day so perfectly. Her demeanor and the way she handled herself made her blend right in and the photos she got were breathtaking. I would recommend Katie in a heart beat. The packages she provides are also very affordable.

  Brave Hearts Review - Fall 2018 Wedding

  Katie was a joy to work with leading up to our wedding, she is an absolute PRO! I was unsure of how everything would be coordinated on the day of, and Katie made sure it all happened for us - she knows exactly what needs to be done in order to capture all of the right moments and she made sure it happened in the most natural and comfortable way for everyone. Her presence is one you want to have around on your wedding day. If you are deciding between photographers for something, I can honestly say you will be blown away by Brave Hearts!

  Friendly, Flexible, Patient and TALENTED!

  We had the best time working with Katie at Brave Hearts! She was such a joy to work with, and so endlessly patient with our requests and vanity (two Leo brides is no joke!) She took incredible photos that perfectly capture the joy and energy of the day - we are so grateful to have so many awesome shots! She is incredibly professional, but so friendly and flexible; and her work is just stunning. We had the best day, and the photos show it!

  My husband and i would recommend Katie one trillion times over!!! Her expertise and professionalism was much appreciated on our special day. We wanted to take pictures at the Saratoga Race Track, and I was having a difficult time coordinating with the organization, being that it is a seasonal venue. I didn't want to risk it and just show up on our wedding day, hoping they would let us in. I contacted Katie in a moment of sheer frustration, nor sure what to do, and she immediately took over and contacted the venue as our photographer, from the business side of things, and was able to get things moving along. As a bride, there is so much to plan, coordinate, worry about, etc. Katie took so much of that off of my plate by taking charge and truly lifted to much off of my plate. When it came to our big day, Katie was everything you dream of and so much more. Actually, we had her join us for our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which I would HIGHLY recommend. She was able to capture the excitement of the night before the wedding-- some of our favorite pictures! On our wedding day, she was so helpful. At the same time, once we were off, walking down the aisle, I didn't see her at all- IN A GOOD WAY! There is nothing i hate more than when you are at a wedding and the photographer's presence is felt everywhere, as if the guests views don't matter. Katie was so sneaky and got so many great shots. She was like a little photographer ninja!! My husband and I are so thrilled with our pictures and feel so grateful for the work she did with us.

  Our experience was wonderful. Planning a wedding long distance was hard, having the help of a fantastic photographer who was willing to take the time and patience to help us enact our vision on our wedding day made it a lot easier! I would highly recommend!

  Katie is a family friend, and we feel so fortunate for that! She is very professional and focused, making sure that you get exactly what you want. The day of your wedding is packed full, and everything comes down to the timeline. Katie makes sure that you stick to the schedule while ensuring that you get all of the different shots that you want. She almost felt "behind the scenes" on the wedding day; she did a wonderful job taking pictures without being obtrusive, as others have said! On the day after the wedding, she gives you a sneak preview of her photos, which was great. When all you want to do is just relive the weekend, the sneak peek helps you to do just that! Katie is an amazing photographer; we cannot stress how highly we recommend her.

  Kathryn Yeaton of Brave Hearts Photography did an amazing job for my destination wedding in Curacao. She was very professional and easy to work with from the beginning from the wedding planning process to booking travel logistics to the wedding weekend. Katie has a very laidback style and flexible in terms of helping you capture your vision. What I really liked about her work is that not only the pictures looked great and of excellent quality, she knew how to capture the wedding moments in a natural way. After our wedding ceremony, we had a brass band parade that Katie captured so well, the picture she took actually ended up going viral all over Curacao on the front cover of numerous newspapers, websites, and other local media! We were so surprised but thrilled to have this additional memory and we honestly have to thank Katie for capturing such an amazing shot. I would definitely recommend Katie for photography work, simply amazing.

Katie Yeaton, owner of Brave Hearts, most importantly is a gifted photographer. Her talents came through in EVERY shot. So much so, we found it difficult to eliminate any when choosing favorites! Katie is so personable and easy to work. Her love for her work was apparent, and we felt all along the way that our wedding was special to her. Of all the vendors and associated services of our wedding BRAVE HEARTS PHOTOGRAPHY was, by far, our favorite.

It wasn't until late in the evening when I looked up and noticed that Katie was still there that I remembered that we hired a photographer... and at that point it was already past the time that we had agreed she would leave. When I told her to feel free to head out, Katie said that she would hang out a bit longer.

  We absolutely and unequivocally recommend Katie and Brave Hearts Photography as a wedding photographer! So much work goes into planning for a wedding, and the day goes by so quickly. Having a photographer capture the setting, the details, the guests, and the special moments between a new husband and wife is so valuable, and we are so glad we trusted this to Katie. We are incredibly impressed with the high quality photographs taken during our wedding, and Katie’s professionalism. Working with her was one of the easiest and best vendor decisions of our June wedding!
  
  They arrived four hours before the ceremony even began, getting shots of the bridal party getting ready, the groomsmen, the landscape and ceremony site, and the guests arrivals. Katie was so kind and fun and easy to be around. She made my husband and I feel very comfortable getting photographed throughout the day. Many times, we didn’t even notice the photographers as they captured beautiful and special parts of the day. My family through that she was a friend who offered to photograph our wedding, because of how comfortable she was coordinating the large group after the ceremony. For the entire day, both photographers stayed present, but were unobtrusive. They were with us for close to twelve hours! Having a photographer capture the setting, the details, the guests, and the special moments between a new husband and wife is so valuable, and we are so glad we trusted this to Katie.   They arrived four hours before the ceremony even began, getting shots of the bridal party getting ready, the groomsmen, the landscape and ceremony site, and the guests arrivals. Katie was so kind and fun and easy to be around. She made my husband and I feel very comfortable getting photographed throughout the day. Many times, we didn’t even notice the photographers as they captured beautiful and special parts of the day. My family through that she was a friend who offered to photograph our wedding, because of how comfortable she was coordinating the large group after the ceremony.   What struck me most about Katie was how responsive she was. The stress of planning a wedding doubles when vendors don't get back to you quickly. This was never an issue with Katie. She was always prompt and very thorough. It was a pleasure working with her!
