Blown away!

Seriously, look no further. You're not going to find a better DJ service for your event or wedding.

We hired BPM for our wedding in October 2022. We worked closely with Sam, but he also brought Peter to make sure everything went perfectly smoothly for our big day. Sam met with us beforehand multiple times to get really specific and thoughtful touches right for our big day. He asked so many questions that I wouldn't have considered, and made it crystal clear that he was going to tailor this experience exactly to our tastes. And he really did. The lighting that BPM provided was so perfect and really set the right vibe for the whole event. The photobooth was a massive hit. And the MUSIC- omg! From a mashup of every Britney Spears song (which led to an EPIC dance-off) to a perfect closing song at the end of the night that had the whole room swaying together in a big circle. The vibes were PERFECT and the music carried the whole night.
And, of course, on your wedding day, some unplanned stuff is bound to happen. We decided at the last minute to not make a big entrance and move some speeches around. Sam was there to make sure it went smoothly. We felt like we wanted to change the lighting on the dance floor when it started getting rowdy and needed permission from the venue. Sam was there to make sure it went smoothly. We had issues with the way our venue set some stuff up. Sam was there to fix it. I have never felt more at ease or taken care of. We had great vendors for our big day, but BPM was by far the best of them all. Hiring them was the best decision we made for our entire wedding, hands down. What I learned from this process is you really just want vendors who will listen to your vision and then you let them handle it so you can enjoy yourself. That's what BPM gave us, and we will forever be grateful.

Hire Jackiie Holliday as your coordinator

We are so grateful we met Jackiie! From our first meeting she showed us her talent for creating clarity, reducing stress when uncertainties pop up, and bringing her personality into her work. We wanted to work with someone who was not only organized but who we wanted to spend an entire day with at our wedding and that was Jackiie from the moment we met.

From steaming dresses to making sure we were well fed to securing the all-important dance floor Pedialyte, Jackiie was supportive, kind, and always carried the perfect balance of professionalism and levity. She is a genuine person and we felt so at ease with her in our communications and in person.

I cannot recommend Jackiie enough.

Peter was excellent!

Peter was amazing and kept the dancing going all night at our wedding. We had a wild mix of people and we worked with Peter to make sure that everyone got some of their favorite songs while never stopping the energy in the crowd as we transitioned genres. Peter was a great energy and people talked about how much fun they had dancing and specifically mentioned how great the DJ was. Highly recommend Peter!

Unforgettable Wedding with DJ Nique

We cannot say enough good things about DJ Nique. From the very beginning, he was incredibly responsive and genuinely invested in getting to know us—not just our music preferences, but who we are as people and what we wanted our wedding to feel like. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all DJ experience; everything was thoughtful, intentional, and completely personalized to us. On the day of the wedding, DJ Nique absolutely delivered. He MC’d the entire event seamlessly—everything flowed smoothly, transitions were flawless, and his coordination with the venue was spot-on. It was clear he knew the space extremely well, which made the whole day feel effortless and stress-free for us. He was also impressively flexible and adaptable. When his DJ setup needed to move to a different location within the venue mid-event, he handled it without missing a beat and adjusted everything quickly and smoothly. He read the room beautifully, and the energy on the dance floor was exactly what we hoped for. Most of all, what stood out was how much he cared. DJ Nique truly wanted our wedding to be special, and it showed in every detail. We love Jackiie and DJ Peter Piper!!

I am biased but we had the BEST wedding ever! Jackiie was our coordinator and it was the most relaxed process and wedding day ever. I did not hear a peep from one vendor and when I woke up, all of my stuff - cards, dresses, jewelry, everything was magically packed up in my room. We looped her in to emails and then dipped - she really took care of everything else and was super responsive and full of ideas. DJ Peter Piper was THE best. You should 1000000% hire him. Very thorough with set up, clearly passionate about music, makes playlists and asks for your approval (if you want to give it). Our dance floor was so hot that I literally missed all of the fun apps and cocktails we had planned because I could not remove myself. We have gotten nonstop amazing feedback from our guests and are so appreciative of Jackiie and Peter!

Couldn't Ask For A Better DJ Experience

There's nothing a DJ could have done to do a better job than Peter did for my wedding. His playlists were exactly what we wanted. His feel for the night was perfect. He is endlessly amenable, and also technically excellent as far as audio design for different rooms. Cannot recommend any more. Sidenote: I hadn't met the man before my wife got the DJ rec - this ain't a friend review, I just want talent and hard work recognized.

We love Sam!

Sam from BPM Events was the perfect DJ for our Brooklyn wedding. From our first conversation with him, it was clear from the questions he asked that he’s a total pro. Our musical direction was pretty varied, and he did a great job bringing it to life. He nailed all the music cues in the ceremony, let us build our own cocktail hour playlist, created a great vibe during dinner, and then played hit after hit on the dance floor. He also brought great energy, with his signature Prada bolo tie and chill vibes. We’d definitely recommend BPM Events/Sam Turner – you won’t be disappointed!

Must book DJ Sam Turner!

Sam went above and beyond for us in making sure our own music tastes were reflected but that it was also fun for our older relatives. Incredible music experience for drinks and dinner, and everyone on the dance floor kept telling us how great the music was. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, we are so thankful and thrilled for his expertise!

Dj sam rocks!

We chose Sam through a quick Google search of DJ's between the Albany and NYC area. From day 1, it was a seamless process, and Sam was in constant communication with us making sure our music needs were met. It was a simple process, where we outlined our itinerary and provided him the general vibe of the music we wanted. It involved a quick form to fill out of music we wanted vs. do not play. He did a masterful job of gaging the energy of the guests, and matching that with the right music! I would recommend Sam 100 times over even though getting married usually happens once!

DJ Nique is the BEST

DJ Nique was ABSOLUTELY the best choice for our wedding. That's not just coming from me but from all of our guests! He was so responsive during the planning phase, especially for my husband who had a choreographed mother/son dance involving 2 songs. The rest of our plans went out the window because 15 minutes in to his set, I told DJ Nique to throw out everything I told him and just do his thing. That's how amazing he is!! He catered to every demographic and ethnicity at our wedding and was the most complimented part of the entire event, by far.

The DJ Who Brought Studio 54 to Brooklyn

We hired DJ Nique as our wedding DJ and MC, and he was absolutely incredible. Our guests can’t stop talking about how amazing the music was and how perfectly the night flowed.

Nique took our wildly eclectic playlist and turned it into a seamless set that captured every mood and genre while still feeling so authentically “us.” We had people on the dance floor who never dance at weddings, and they were out there all night, which was exactly what we hoped for. Our goal was to make the dance floor feel like Studio 54 meets a 2008 homecoming (coming from the suburbs of DC), and he nailed it.

He took our must-play list seriously and completely respected our do-not-play list (which was extensive). There were bubbles, flawless transitions, and nonstop energy from start to finish. He read the crowd perfectly and kept the party going without ever missing a beat.

Leading up to the day, his communication was spot on. He understood our vision, checked in at all the right moments, and nailed the vibe we wanted from start to finish.

We also had multiple live music elements including a ceremony pianist, live musicians, and a vocalist for our first dance, and Nique worked seamlessly with everyone. Since he DJs at our venue regularly, he was already familiar with the space and setup, which made everything even smoother.

Simply put, DJ Nique made the night unforgettable.

Vibes with DJ Peter Piper

Pete is the man! Best Dj hands-down! Throughout and days after we had so many people saying how amazing he is and how the vibes and song choices were perfect. He controlled the room and kept the party going! From the first conversation we knew there was no one better for us. Being from Jamaica and my wife from France, we have a wide range of genres and tastes to cover and he hit them all. Classics, dancehall, reggae, pop, afrobeats, French rap, etc. Every song played felt personal and represented exactly our tastes and who we are. Day-Of Coordinator-- Jackiie Holliday

We first found BPM when looking for a DJ (we ended up going with DJ Peter Piper, who we 12/10 would recommend for a DJ. He's the absolute best).

When talking with Sam about other needs for our wedding day, we told him about how our venue required we have a Day-Of Wedding Coordinator. While we weren't thrilled for what we thought was just another line item, we figured it would be fine to have another person to help. However... we had no idea where to begin finding this person. Sam then introduced us to Jackiie.

Hiring Jackiie was the single best decision we made surrounding our wedding day. To quote my husband, "Hiring Jackiie... marrying you... it's 50/50 for me on what was the best part." Honestly, I'm not even mad if he's serious about it. His sentiment captures how invaluable Jackiie was to making our day run smoothly.

From our initial meetings to the day-of, Jackiie made the million tasks feel less overwhelming and more organized. She truly sure ensured that the only thing we had to do on our wedding day was show up and have a blast. Her ability to organize and synthesize so many moving parts should honestly be studied. She helped us flesh out what we truly wanted from the day (joy) and then delivered. Yes, we gave Jackiie an abstract concept and she was able to set up concrete steps to make sure we felt it, the whole day. We will forever be grateful for her unflappability, sense of humor, and kindness on one of the most important days of our lives. It was a joy working with her, and we could not say enough good things about her!

Can’t recommend BPM enough!

Got married last weekend and we're so happy we went with BPM for our wedding. My wife and I are both really selective about our music and wanted to make sure our favorite artists were mixed in with crowd pleasers and Sam did a great job of making it feel like it was truly our wedding. Sam was awesome

Sam was awesome! Absolutely crushed our wedding. Got everyone onto the dance floor and made the party super lively the whole time. He did an awesome job catering to everyone in the room to make things feel fun and inclusive. We didn't ask him to change or add a song a single time - his set list was perfect and he kept things moving.

Beyond the dancing, he was also super helpful and great to work with on the AV for the ceremony, and music for the cocktail hour and dinner. The photobooth was a fun addition too.

At the end of the night when we realized the sound system for the afterparty wasn't working Sam saved the day and rented us his so we could keep the party going

We hope our friends hire BPM so we can go to another wedding with them!

Best Wedding Coordinator we could've asked for!!

Jackiie's website is a perfect reflection of her personality: organized, bubbly, and fabulous! My wife and I can be those things in the comfort of our home our with friends, but not on the level that is needed for day of wedding coordination. Sam, the main point person for BPM Events, was prompt to reply and get us in touch with Jackiie and Jackiie had the same energy.

Our meetings (one in person and one remote) leading up to the wedding day were long and overwhelming (because context), but Jackiie made it as painless as possible. She has such good energy so it made the time feel more like hanging out with an organized friend who keeps you on track for a team project.
She had reassured us during those meetings, but on the day of the wedding, Jackiie really was ten toes down. I forgot my dress socks. She went to the nearest store and got me some socks. Somehow I was slimmer the day of the wedding and needed a belt because my pants were no longer as fitting as they'd been. Jackiie was willing to give me the belt off her waist! We needed help coordinating the delivery of our wedding cake. Jackiie was right there, helping to plan the delivery and ensuring it was at our venue in one piece. One of our guests tried to come into our suite after the ceremony and again, Jackiie was there, ushering them out so we could have our post-ceremony breather.
There are absolutely things we wish we would've thought of or done differently on the wedding day, but not one of those things had to do with Jackiie. If we could go back (with more money in our budget), we wouldn't hire Jackie to be our Day-of Wedding Coordinator, because we would hire her to be our Wedding Planner. Not getting the full package sooner was probably our biggest mistake.

3 years later, still the best dance floor we've ever experienced

I’ll be honest, I am 3 years late writing this review BUT perhaps that speaks even more to Sam’s absolute staying power in our guest’s memories. To this day, all of our friends agree that our wedding was the most fun they’ve ever had, which is saying something as our friend group has churned out wedding after wedding. Sam was a huge part in making that happen. He kept the dance floor packed for 6.5+ hours until after 1 AM (on top of the hours he put in for the reception/cocktail hour/dinner). He was game to have an entire hour dedicated to only Polish wedding songs and got our guests hyped and partying even though most of our friends aren’t Polish. To be able to read the room so well and perfectly coordinate the music to match the vibes is truly a talent. Honestly thank god for our photographers because all of our friends were dancing so much that no one had their phones on them for hours. There are so many songs that are forevermore tied to memories on the dance floor, all expertly selected and seamlessly blended.

Sam is everything you’d want in a DJ. Our wedding weekend was easily one of the best and most fun times in our life, and the marathon dancing with all of our closest friends and family was a huge part of that. No exaggeration, the memories we have from that time will stick with us the rest of our lives. I love my husband but we both agree we’d want to get married again just to have another DJ Sam wedding.

The Best DJ to get the party going!

Sam was referred to us by our wedding venue when we asked for a DJ who can get the party going of our Brooklyn rooftop wedding. Within our first meeting, we knew Sam was perfect for us as understood our ideas for the wedding and was so enthusiastic, fun and his love of a broad and eclectic range of music. Throughout the planning process, he was collaborative and provided great suggestions from his experience to make it a special day. The month before the wedding to go through the ceremony to the dance floor and he always put my partner and me in a great mood and excitement. Day of the wedding, Sam knocked it out the park with our crowd loving it and him getting everyone dancing, jumping and even one guest split his pants to his mixes. The crowd loved him and we got so many compliments on him and the wedding being so fun because of his energy and set.

Hire DJ Nique right now!!!

Booking Rob (DJ Nique) was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. He quickly understood what we were both looking for (which wasn't always 100% the same) and blended our preferences perfectly. He also talked to our family and friends earlier in the night to get a sense of the crowd and absolutely nailed it. As a result we had family members who nobody had ever seen dance tearing up the dance floor, which was never empty. At the same time, our friends also haven't stopped raving about the music. We all could have danced until 4 am if the venue would have let us. We wouldn't hesitate to hire Rob again and will be recommending him to all of our betrothed friends.

Phenomenal Wedding DJ Experience

DJ Nique crushed it. From the moment we hit the dance floor, the energy was electric and never let up. He read the crowd perfectly and created a joyful, high-energy vibe that had everyone dancing all night. We had a super random list of music interests from disco, to 90s rap, to 00's emo, to Israeli electronic and he blended them all seamlessly. We had people from many different backgrounds and age groups, and Nique managed to keep everyone hyped and engaged all night long. On top of that, he was a pleasure to work with professional, kind, and genuinely invested in making the night unforgettable.

Made everything so easy and fun - thanks, Sam and DJ Peter Piper!

We had such a great experience working with BPM Events for our wedding! They provided lighting, a photobooth, and DJ services, and everything went so smoothly. The team was professional, easy to communicate with, and clearly knew what they were doing.

Sam, who runs BPM, was great to work with. He was responsive, transparent, and made the whole process feel so much more manageable. It was clear from the start that we were working with someone who 1. knew his stuff, and 2. wasn't selling us anything we didn't need/want. It felt like working with a friend.

Our DJ, Peter Piper, did an amazing job – the music was spot-on all night, and he kept the energy going without it ever feeling over the top. He ran requests by us to be sure we agreed with additions, and we had people on the dance floor from the first song to the last. Several guests said it was a "top 5 night" of their lives, and one said Pete was their favorite wedding attendee (we were not offended).

The lighting added such a nice touch to the space, and the photobooth was a HUGE hit with our guests. It made a big difference that Sam provided props for us - the photobooth may have had a longer line than the bar.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. BPM Events helped make our day feel special, and I’d definitely recommend them to other couples.

A master of his craft

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Sam for our wedding! From the start, he totally got the specific vibe we were looking for — we wanted the dance floor to get a little wild as the night went on, and he absolutely delivered. He asked insightful questions during the planning period, always responded to emails quickly, and was amazing the day-of. Sam brought the energy and knew exactly when to drop the late ’90s and early 2000s club bangers we love. We had about 88 guests and 2.5 hours of dancing, and somehow Sam kept the dance floor packed the entire time — no small feat with a smaller group! Multiple guests have told us it was hands-down the best playlist they’ve ever heard at a wedding. Sam created such an unforgettable atmosphere, and we’re so grateful he was part of our day. Could not recommend him more if you want a wedding that turns into a real party!

DJ Peter Piper Rocked it!

DJ Peter Piper absolutely crushed it at our October wedding in Kingston, NY. From the moment the dance floor opened, he had the energy sky-high and never let it drop. Amazing experience!

I can't recommend Sam and BPM events enough! They really went above and beyond, and I've actually had multiple guests mention how great our DJ was weeks after the fact. I didn't think we'd be much of a dancing crowd, but I wound up spending so much of my wedding day on the dance floor-- and even the older guests got involved. Sam provided support and insight as well, including his own recommendations of where to set up audio equipment and the flow of the speeches during dinner, which I can't imagine many wedding djs do & was invaluable. Also, he surprised my husband and I by playing a song from a band we saw on our first date, which we had only mentioned in passing way before the event. The photobooth provided was also amazing and a hit, and the lighting BPM provided made the dancefloor much more fun than it would have been with what the venue itself provided. We were truly blown away

The perfect wedding DJ

Sam was our incredible wedding DJ, and we couldn't ask for anyone better! He was communicative, helped us through all of our requests, and was an absolute professional throughout. Any time there was a need to introduce someone or make any announcements, he was on top of it all. Having such an organized DJ who knows your schedule and understands how to keep a wedding flowing is a godsend.

He was also a wizard with the dance floor -- he had a knack for mixing the crowd-favorites with some great picks of his own, which is what we were looking for. So much better than what we could have expected from the "typical wedding DJ."

And above all, he was a great guy to work with. I'd recommend him to any of my friends and family.

We knew we had made the right decision from the first time we met Jackiie, before we had even told her. Jackiie is an amazing person to work with – she is as brilliant as she is friendly and will make sure you enjoy your special day as much as you are relaxed that it is being handled perfectly. Jackiie’s wealth of knowledge in the event planning industry was evident at every step of the planning and coordination process. Leading up to the wedding she made sure that we had thought through all of the things we wanted to and did not dwell on things that were not important to us; she listened to our concerns at different points and always had a creative solution to offer; when we were most overwhelmed she made us excited again. Day of, weekend of, whatever you need – Jackiie is it! We had several snaffoos that she absorbed with grace and love; from a broken bus, to unexpected guests and all of the other things we will never know because that is just who Jackiie is. Our wedding came together perfectly and it was all thanks to Jackiie. Her vision is creative, her attention to detail is spectacular and her joy is radiating. Sam was a gift of our venue. As is the case with many New York venues, Sam was listed on the preferred vendors list, with a list of amazing reviews. We had spoken with several DJs before we spoke to Sam and quickly knew he was the one. He was funny, knew what questions to ask to get us talking, and exactly what kind of music we would like. Some meetings later and a deep dive into our Spotify history, we arrived at our Wedding day confident that we were about to have the best dance party we could imagine and that it was. We couldn’t tell you what songs were picked, but there was not one song that lost the energy or people on the dancefloor. Dancing was an essential part of our wedding and we are so glad that we chose Sam to help us make it happen.

Professional, timely, thoughtful, creative, above-and-beyond Wedding Coordinatoron

We hired Jackiie Holliday as our coordinator through Sam at BPM Events and could not be happier. Jackiie's creativity and creative problem-solving is unique and truly sets her apart from other planners/coordinators who had been recommended to us.

From the time we first met with Jackiie, through timeline planning and swapping of unique decoration ideas and non-traditional event adds, to the day of the event, Jackiie was always a joy to work with, with a positive attitude and bringing her own iniative to empower us to see all of our hopes and dreams though. She has a magical ability to make you feel like you have the best ideas in the world, and all of your ideas are fantastic. We felt like we had a powerful advocate on our side while we wrangled together our own thoughts and ideas on decor and events, our friends who would help plan art direction too, and so many different vendors for flowers, music, photography, food and the event spaces.

Her ability to problem-solve and ensure all vendors were on the same page was critical to the event's incredible success (deemed "the best wedding I've ever been to," by many guests). She made sure that our tables were set up correctly, we got the poloroid photo stations set up where we wanted, all of our candles and bows were on point, helped the DJ accomodate a last-minute singing moment from one of the guests, and so much more. The event was gorgeous and flowed so smoothly, and in the end, all of our guests were happy and there were no hiccups throughout the long and event-filled night.

Highly recommend!

DJ Nique was truly one of the best vendors we worked with for our wedding. Throughout the whole process, he was ahead of the game, proactively communicating about plans for our wedding day. This was a huge help! He was also super flexible when we needed to change timing.

Then, during the wedding he did a phenomenal job creating the vibe for our reception. He had the perfect background music for dinner, kept things moving without being too abrupt, and then created such a FUN dance floor!! We had a blast and keep hearing from guests about how great the DJ was.

Dj nique rules!

DJ Nique was such an incredible DJ for our wedding. He had a great system for finding out exactly what music we love... and MUCH more importantly what music we absolutely can't stand! I'm a huge music fan so that was a tall order, bui the whole night ended up being perfect. So much dancing and, every song was a banger. I had the time of my life. He was even willing to play some of the goofier songs that me and my wife love and nailed it with remixes etc!!! Can't suggest enough.

Sam absolutely killed it at our wedding! Right off the bat, Sam was so friendly and professional. We knew after the initial meeting that he would be a good fit for us. One of our best wedding decisions - hands down!

On a five-star rating scale we'd give Pete six stars! If we could give more, we'd happily give more. Pete was super chill, easy to work with, and more than delivered on creating a fabulous night for us and our guests. From the very start he helped us feel at ease in the planning process and was ready with answers to any of our questions. It's also worth mentioning that our venue was brand new (ours was the space's second wedding) and Pete knew exactly what he needed to facilitate our vision. The dance floor was packed all night long with curated playlists that seamlessly transitioned between genres depending on the vibe. We had everything from Rocky Horror to Rihanna and the night never skipped a beat. Pete's joy was palpable and contagious. We couldn't have dreamt up a better DJ for our day. We're so glad and grateful we had Pete!

We had an amazing experience with Sam! From the very beginning, he was incredibly nice, always responsive, and very easy to work with. He arrived promptly and was professional, while also bringing great energy and fun to the event. He knew how to read the room and played the perfect mix of songs that matched each moment of the evening.

Sam Killed It!

Sam was the calming presence throughout our wedding plan process. He was professional and asked all the questions we didn't even think to ask. He was extremely attentive to all our requests and MOST IMPORTANTLY killed the music. Our friends would go up to the DJ booth to request songs only to turn around when Sam played the very next tune that was on their mind.

Also a huge perk, he and his team did an amazing job lighting the venue, providing sound for the ceremony and supplying a photo booth.

We cannot recommend Sam highly enough.

Book DJ Peter Piper!!!

I can't even begin to express how incredible our experience with Pete was. He's an amazing DJ and on top of it he's like, the nicest, coolest dude around. We had an outdoor, DIY wedding that required a lot of moving parts, especially when it came to the electricity so we had a million questions for Pete and he was super communicative, responsive and knowledgeable. He created amazing playlists for the wedding based on our preferences and was willing and ready to pivot whenever we needed a vibe shift. He read the crowd really well and any time we specifically requested a shift he was super game. Pete's not just chillin while he's working either, he's full on JAMMING the whole time!! White Glove Treatment from a Master of the Craft

We first saw Sam DJ a wedding in 2019, and we knew immediately that our own wedding wouldn't be complete without him. Five years later that happened, and he was even more essential than we could have imagined. I am sure that many wedding DJs just show up and play what they know works, but Sam's preparation was exhaustive. He asked each of us for must play, maybe play, and don't play lists and met with us to discuss our selections. Besides the music, we talked about lighting, atmosphere, location, and even the programming of the entire night. He was also forthcoming with recommendations based on his experience at hundreds of weddings before ours. Sam's experience helped us to structure something that felt light and fun for nearly 300 guests in an unconventional venue. Inevitably, every wedding will involve some improvisation, and Sam -- acting both as DJ and MC for the night -- was ready for that, too. When guests needed direction about dinner service, when we needed to activate a backup bartender, and when a dance went on too long, Sam knew when to flag us and when to flag someone else, and he was relaxed about making changes on the fly. When Sam's big moment came--the onsite afterparty--he made actual magic. We expected only our friends would stay for Sam's late night DJ set in a graffitied warehouse next to the dinner venue, but EVERYONE stayed -- family, friends, even borderline strangers. It was an exhilarating, ecstatic experience -- the moment of release and relief we had been waiting for all day. The people who never dance at weddings danced at THIS wedding. People were still lingering long after the bar closed down and as Sam packed up, wanting to stay a little bit longer in the atmosphere he created. Sam was our rock -- a DJ, a wedding planner, a concierge, a fairy godmother. We almost want to get divorced and remarried so we can do it all over (with Sam) again.

Made our wedding so fun and special!

We had an amazing experience with BPM Events! Sam was great to work with and super responsive during the planning process. We immediately connected with DJ Peter and are so glad we hired him as our wedding DJ. He is such a nice guy with great energy and was always on point with both the music and cuing our various wedding "events," and it was so fun to see him bopping along with all the tunes with genuine enthusiasm. So many guests complimented his work and asked for his playlists! People were on the dance floor for the entire dancing portion of our reception, which is not something I have seen at many weddings. It doesn't feel like it's just a weekend gig, but that BPM genuinely cares about making your wedding special.

We also hired BPM to hang string lights above the dance floor which was a great decision; we got married at Greenpoint Loft, and it really added to the atmosphere. It's also nice that they provide this service as it's one less vendor to manage. Highly recommend working with BPM!!

We love BPM events!

Pete was the best!! We clicked with him from our first meeting, because he made us feel so at ease and taken care of. He had answers to all our questions, including ones that we didn't even know to ask. And omg, the wedding was the most fun I've ever had. He had everyone (regardless of age or dancing ability) out on the dance floor all night and transitioned seamlessly and cleverly between genres (we wanted a mix of pop, r&b, Latin, etc.) and all of our guests raved about him. The whole room was electric and so joyful and I was only sorry we couldn't make the moment last forever. It was such a delight to see all our favorite people having such a blast. Pete, thank you for helping make this the best night of our lives! Highly, highly recommend.

We also worked with Sam for lighting and our photobooth, and he was amazing. He has such a good sense of humor and it helped us stay grounded during a stressful time. His work was impeccable, but even more so, we loved working with him as a person.

More than just your DJ

Sam went above and beyond to work with our budget and maximize the experience for our wedding. He took the time to understand our vibe, rolled with it when we gave him a bit of a funky setup, and ensured the ceremony and reception were flawless down to the final song. I had a momentary panic when I smudged my glasses right before we walked out to our reception, and Sam found me with a microfiber cloth to save the day. Sam is a true partner, and we would absolutely work with BPM again.

DJ Peter Piper is the GOAT 🏆🎗️

DJ Peter Piper is, without a doubt, undisputed, the *best* DJ there ever was. I haven't written this review yet because I didn't know if I could possibly find the words to properly credit his creativity, professionalism, dedication, energy, and quality of service. His mixes are unlike anyone else's. He is SO MUCH FUN and had every single person at our wedding dancing the ENTIRE NIGHT - no matter their age! He had something for EVERYONE and EVERYONE agreed that his set was better than any dj they've ever heard play, wedding or otherwise. Additionally, Peter is a SWEETHEART and just an all around standup guy. He is a wonderful, patient, kind mannered, funny person and should win every award.
Long story short - best in the entire DJ industry, not just weddings. Go to his sets at bars. Hire him or recommend him for your events.

Sam Turner -- 10/10!

From our first interactions with Sam we knew we were in for a true experience on our wedding day. He was asking such detailed questions about the type of wedding we wanted to have, and the experience we wanted to give our guests, that it was very clear early on that we made the right choice in going with Sam and BPM.

With all that being said, Sam blew us away with his performance on our Wedding Day. The music, the transitions, the timing of specific songs during the wedding were just superb! He took all of us on amazing journey.

What we love most about Sam is that even though we did give him specific songs to play, which he did, he still added is flavor to it. It felt like we were at the best nightclub in NYC.

Sam Turner from BPM Events was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ (May 2024). He is so relatable, approachable and was so easy to work with during the planning stages (super chill but also so prepared with a planning worksheet). The quality of his work is so professional, it made for a deeply meaningful ceremony and absolute banger of a party. He is so knowledgeable about different genres/eras of music, that we felt comfortable letting him guide the flow of the event after we gave some preferences of our music taste and vision for the event. He threw a few surprises in that were massive hits. Both of us are very particular about music but we let Rob take the wheel and didn't regret it for a second. Many of our guests said he was the best wedding DJ they'd heard and we wholeheartedly agree. You can't go wrong in hiring Rob for your event.

Best DJ ever

The BPM team was great to work with! DJ Peter absolutely rocked the house on our wedding day and was a joy to work with from the start! Before the big day, he took the time to get to know our music tastes, and boy, did he deliver! From the moment he hit play, you could just see the passion he had for what he does.

He had everyone, from even my husband’s grandma, out on the dance floor all night long.

People couldn't stop talking about how awesome the music was. I mean, they were raving about Peter's skills even before dessert! And the best part? The compliments kept rolling in even after the party ended! Anytime the wedding comes up now people mention how great the music is!

Great Experience for my Wedding!

My wife and I meticulously researched and interviewed multiple DJs for our wedding, and we both felt an instant connection with Peter, which paid off! Working with him on the playlist and the show flow felt like we were working with someone that we have known for years. His music recommendations and curation of songs that we like drew compliments from many, if not all of our guests. Our event also had guests in multiple age groups, from toddlers to seniors, and they all had an amazing time due in part to Peter and his approach as a DJ.

literally the best dj in the history of ever

Sam stands out not just for his epic djing skills, but for the peace of mind he brought us. In the run-up to our wedding, his vibe was a calming presence amidst a lot of chaos. He genuinely took the time to get to know us, our story, and what makes us us. He truly felt more like a friend than a DJ - and he was a calming, comforting presence on the day.

Not only did he make it easy to work with him and relieve tons of stress in the lead up, but he was an absolute LEGEND as a DJ. He read the room like a genius and played to the audience, while ensuring we got our favorite songs in as well. We got asked by so so many people afterwards who the DJ was because he left such an incredible impression. We LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Sam and cannot recommend him enough.

We found BPM Events through the preferred vendor list provided by our venue. Hiring a DJ was one of the areas where we didn't really know where to even begin, so I'm very thankful BPM was on that list! Out of all the DJ companies I spoke with, I felt like they were the easiest to talk to and reasonably priced for NYC. I spoke with a few of the DJ's at BPM just to get to know them and can honestly say that all of them were really personable and great! Ultimately, we decided to work with DJ Sam Turner because it felt like we clicked during our initial call, and he seemed to totally understand the atmosphere we were trying to create for our wedding. He was thorough, informative, transparent, and fun to chat with throughout the planning process. On the day of, music/audio ran smoothly and was very on point with the vision we had in mind - I think Sam would be a great person to work with for any era of music you're looking to have at your wedding, as he is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. Our guests stated that the dancing music was so fun and mixed seamlessly. Definitely recommend!

“Best wedding DJ ever!” — according to us and all of our hip BK friends!

Rob (DJ Nique) truly CRUSHED it! I’ll note that my fiancé and I are very particular about music. We had an extensive must play and do not play list and Rob — a professional DJ for some of the best spots Brooklyn and Manhattan — was so amenable to us and our tastes. We also had a hybrid Indian wedding and shared with him a number of Bollywood songs to be integrated for our reception. He was able to seamlessly blend pop, hip-hop, 90s and early 2000s R&B and Bollywood hits, while adeptly reading the crowd and energy levels. From our pickiest music friends to my Indian grandparents, he played something for everyone. We also asked him to blend a mix together for us to play at our after-party and he was so willing to help us with that, as well. We’re still fielding compliments from our friends who are excited to see him out at the bars here in Brooklyn. He gained more than a few fans from our wedding weekend. Thank you ROB! So lucky to have found DJ Nique!!!

Great music was definitely at the top of our list for our wedding and DJ Nique took our notes and made it come to life and then some! He truly made the event exactly what we wanted it to be - hyped and alive!!! Every song was a hit with the dance floor always filled. We couldn't have asked for a better person to DJ our wedding. We gave him so many genres of music and he found a way to make it all happen. So remarkable! Can't wait to go to the next event hosted by DJ Nique.

Phenomenal

After having been to 30+ weddings in my lifetime, I know the DJ makes or breaks the wedding and generally determines how much fun people have. DJ Peter Piper was absolutely phenomenal and single-handedly made our wedding a memorable one. He gave us an incredible party with our friends that we will never forget. He worked with us on 3 separate calls on the playlist before the wedding (and gave fair and honest feedback on what was going to get people dancing and what wouldn't, since I'm pretty picky with music) and absolutely delivered the night of. I've seen a lot of wedding DJs who just sort of stand there and play songs on a computer but Peter was really getting into it and I could tell was having as much fun as we were which created a really amazing vibe overall. Amazingly, he was also significantly cheaper than a lot of other DJs we talked to. We could not recommend him more highly and we are so thrilled and thankful that he was the DJ for our special day.

DJ Peter Piper was absolutely perfect!!! We spoke prior to the wedding a handful of times to talk about the mood and feel we were looking for. Book BPM if you want to be dancing the entire night

Sam knocked it out of the park; like absolutely destroyed it (in an amazing way!) So easy to work with, he really picked up what we were putting down without us having to say too much, honestly. He played a great mix of crowd pleasers that stuck to our wish of non top 40/pop music, and also threw down our deep cuts that we wanted to hear/dance to. I was even able to coordinate with him to get a few surprise songs in for my hubs. Our wedding was in November and our friends are still talking about it!

If you're looking for the perfect DJ for your wedding, stop searching and choose DJ Peter Piper! Pete was such a pleasure to work with - he is the nicest guy and works so hard to curate the experience you are looking for. We love music and so Pete worked with us leading up to the wedding to craft the perfect playlist. He really listened to what we wanted and was able to accommodate all our requests (some pretty niche) and then threw in other songs that totally fit our vibe. He 100% delivered -- the music was the best part of the night, and our guests thought so too -- so many guests told us afterward that our DJ was incredible. The dance floor was packed all night long. We first heard of Pete through a friend, and she had an amazing experience with him DJ-ing her wedding too. Expert at his craft!

My husband and I had DJ Nique DJ/emcee our wedding in April 2023. We heard about him through our photographer, who also had him at her wedding. Right off the bat, we hit it off with him and knew he would understand our needs for the wedding. He was familiar with Filipino culture, which was very important to me since we have certain types of music that we always have at our parties. Our preliminary meeting was just to see if we would like working with him and we got back to him right away to sign the contract.

He was very keen on details, which made us feel less stressed out. His enthusiasm behind the mic was great and his presence definitely rounded out the night.

10/10 recommend! :D

Going into the wedding, I had no idea what an integral role the DJ actually plays in making the night so successful. I can unequivocally say that DJ Sam MADE our wedding. Full stop. Multiple people told us how much they loved the music and how ours was one of the funnest weddings they've ever been to and Sam is a massive part of that. Hiring Sam as our wedding DJ was probably the best decision we made for our wedding. He was so much fun, so thoughtful, and super easy to work with. Book Sam Turner for you wedding, stat. Sam is a dream to work with! He is professional, responsive, and in general a pleasure to work with. He asked great questions in order to understand the event, guests, and vibe we wanted to create. He nailed every cue: speeches, a Mister Softee jingle, and a surprise birthday shout out. He worked well with our venue and wedding planner (who had worked with him previously and said he was great). Bonus: he is stylish (he showed up in Prada bolo tie, what?!) and personable (he came out for a drink with us at the after party). We wanted a dreamy happy hour (50s do wop and modern indie pop) that moved into a multi-genre raucous dance party and Sam understood the assignment. He blended hop hop, reggaeton, dance pop, emo/screamo, and punk seamlessly. He read the crowd and had people dancing all night-- so much so that we extended an extra hour (which he was flexible about in terms of both time and pricing). There were moments when I wanted to request a song and it was like he read my mind and played it before I got to him. All of our friends were raving about him and they still bring up how great he was months later. Sam is the best, do not hesitate to hire him.

Perfect Wedding DJ!

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. After looking at the variety of each DJ’s influences and style listed on the BPM website, we opted for DJ Nique, and he was the perfect choice. Rob/DJ Nique Rules

We had a lot of big ideas about how our wedding should sound and made playlists and talked the poor man's head off, but Rob listened, cut through our noise and gave us exactly what we needed instead of exactly what we asked for, and when it comes to a wedding DJ that is more important.

The dance floor was always full. He played jams for every age and even got my parents dancing—they are super tough customers.

He was funny, kept people laughing, deflected bad requests with grace, and ended up feeling like part of the family.

DJ Peter was amazing and transformed our wedding reception into a dance party in August. We found Peter through BPM Events and loved listening to his sample mixes. They made us dance in our seats and after a quick call with Peter, we knew he was the one! He was genuine and expressed how excited he was to DJ at our wedding, which really made us feel special. For the music choices, we were initially nervous since we didn’t know enough party songs and couldn’t decide which genres we wanted to play. Peter took time to give suggestions, understand what we liked, and was super patient with all the special requests we had. He took our list of songs and transformed it into a killer playlist that was perfect for our music taste. We needed Peter to also announce formalities and help transition the wedding events for us. He took the part of the wedding we were most worried about and made it look so easy. The dance floor was occupied all night long and so many friends complimented on how awesome our DJ was during and after the wedding. I highly recommend Peter if you are looking for a fun, thoughtful, and organized DJ with amazing mixing skills.

Excellent!

Sam has wedding DJing down to a science. Through his experience, he is able to deliver, on a customize basis, the music you want to hear. We interviewed other DJs but decided to go with Sam due to his process and outstanding care for our interest in music. Due to our passion for music, our wedding required someone who had the expertise and ability to match what our musical interests were. Sam was able to deliver and had the party going ‘till close. I am very happy to have Sam as our wedding DJ.

Dj peter piper was awesome!

We are so glad we hired DJ Peter Piper for our wedding! Throughout the whole process he was a pleasure to work with and helped to ensure our event not only ran smoothly but was a PARTY! He chose the best songs and new what would get everyone on the dance floor! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our day!

The perfect DJ

Peter was the perfect DJ for our wedding - he listened to our music preferences while adding his own twist to craft the perfect playlist that our friends and family have not stopped talking about a month after our wedding. He was also a warm and fun presence at our wedding and was extremely accommodating dealing with multiple postponements due to Covid. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and we’re already thinking of our next excuse to book him for a party. Do not hesitate to book him for your wedding!

Best Decision !

OMG DJ Nique was amazing! I am so glad we went with BPM for our wedding! DJ Nique kept the party going from beginning to end. He took the time to find out what we were looking for and he definitely delivered! He understood the assignment. He is well rounded when it comes to different music genres and knows what to play for all age ranges. My husbad and I are dancers so hiring a DJ was a big deal to us. We interviewed a couple of DJS but when we met with Dj Nique we knew once we ended the call, he was the DJ for us. He has great energy and was such a pleasure to work with! It should also be noted that Sam was great to work with as well.

Best Wedding DJ Ever

Music was by far and away the most important element to us for our wedding, and Peter knocked it out of the park. TLDR - if you care about having a killer dance party at your wedding hire him. You won't regret it.

Peter is not the traditional wedding DJ who just passively throws on a generic set list of top 40 from the last two decades and kicks back. During the planning process he worked closely with us to design a set list that reflected our diverse musical taste and the type of dance party we wanted to have at our reception, making thoughtful suggestions on additional songs that really helped to bring the overall set list together.

While we had a strong point of view on what we wanted for our wedding music - it was also clear that Peter is the type of flexible DJ who could just have easily taken a few sentences of guidance from us to craft an amazing experience. He is definitely a seasoned pro.

Then on the night of the wedding he was able to read the room, making the types of on-the-fly adjustments that you would expect from a proper DJ to get everybody on the dance floor. Beyond that - he brought so much energy to what he was doing - every time I glanced up at the stage Peter was jumping and dancing as hard as anyone on the floor - creating the type of energy that you could really feed off.

Honestly - I don't think I've ever danced so hard in my whole life, and that's exactly what we wanted. It was truly amazing. It's now been a month since our wedding and while the high of that night has started to recede, Peter's set remains as one of the highlights of the night and the thing that our friends are still raving to us about.

FUN, helpful, and really flexible :)

Peter was the perfect wedding DJ! He kept the dance floor moving all night. He asked for a small playlist of songs to understand what vibes we wanted and used that to choose the rest of the music. He really incorporated our tastes and then added a few fun curveballs. It was so fun, even our shyer family members danced! We got tons of compliments about him from guests of all ages. On top of that, he really helped us square out our reception schedule so it made sense and was totally on top of helping sure things moved along. Almost sad this is my only wedding because I’d love to have Peter DJ for me again!

great company. definitely recommend

BPM was great. Responsive and very well priced. They have several dj's as well as lighting and photobooths if you want. All were amongst the best priced I found. The Dj was perfect. I highly recommend using BPM.
