Choosing Tom to capture my special day was probably one of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding. Tom and his crew not only captured my wedding silently and unobtrusively, but he made the final product look like a movie! My video was very creatively done and you can tell that they really care a lot about their work. It is definitely something I will cherish forever. Thank you so much! :) -

Tom Bowen was wonderful to work with. We hired him for videography for our wedding and we could not be happier. His friendly personality is only exceeded by the quality of his work. He was professional, responsive, experienced, calm, and efficient. He made sure to videograph every single detail and bring it up to our photographers attention to take picture if they missed a small detail. We highly recommend him. -

We hired Thomas Bowen Films for our Indian wedding at the Bethesda North Marriott last year. We could not have been more pleased with the final product!! Tom and his assistant were extremely respectful and professional the whole time- so easy to work with. I was very glad that I didn't have to worry about where they were or if they were capturing the right stuff. I have recommended Thomas Bowen Films to many friends. -

We absolutely loved the final product!! I could hardly notice Geoffery the whole day; he was extremely professional and so easy to work with. What I love most about my video is that it looks like a movie, not just a documentary of the day. It is so creative! I highly recommend Thomas Bowen Films!! -

Amazing Videographers
Bowen Films was just an absolutely lovely addition to our wedding day. We cannot say enough good things about them.
Tom was extremely helpful leading up to the day, answering all of our questions expertly. Our videographers, Freddy and Jon, were so wonderful on the day of and their kindness, positive attitudes and excitement to film our best day ever was so so appreciated and made us and our wedding party feel comfortable in front of the cameras.
Additionally, in the best way possible, there were moments when we were like "where are the videographers?" but then, sure enough, we'd glance around and they'd be right there, capturing it all but blending in in a way that allowed the event to happen.
It was such a pleasure to work with them and we can honestly say that our wedding would not have been the same without Bowen Films presence and expertise. -

Although I haven't seen the finished product yet, I just wanted to get this review in so it could be useful to your wedding planning. As mother of the bride and the "official" wedding planner I needed a vendor that would be responsive to all my questions. Rob returned all my phone calls and even came to my house to talk to me. I hardly saw him durung the ceremony and reception - he filmed away without being in anyone's face with the camera.
I would highly recommend them - and I am one who did my research before hiring. -

My husband and I weren’t sure in the beginning if we wanted a videographer, but after seeing the product delivered by Bowen Films, we are incredibly happy we decided to get it. We originally purchased the Cinematic Highlight package, but later upgraded to the Director’s Cut package and have zero regrets. First, the moments captured by our videographers are incredible; they are so candid and natural. Our wedding flew by and this allows my husband and I to relive some of the most precious moments. Second, the production quality of the video is outstanding. It truly looks professional and the time invested into creating the highlight and social media videos is self-evident. Lastly, the responsiveness and flexibility of everyone at Bowen films was top notch. My husband and I had a few requests and they were quick to incorporate them into their plan. Overall, we are very satisfied with Bowen films and would highly recommend them. -

Absolutely beyond satisfied with my wedding video and highlight film. Freddy Galea was our videographer and he was incredible! Not only did he do an excellent job on our video, he was also professional, made us feel very comfortable and had a wonderful sense of humor! If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would! Such a pleasant group of people to work with! I have not seen my video yet but I know that there were two people videotaping the ceremony and the cocktail hour. They were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to people with any budget because they will work with you to find the perfect video package. -

Bowen Films was by far one of my favorite vendors at my April 2014 wedding. Their level of professionalism was amazing. They were very discreet and super friendly. It was such a pleasure working with them.
The website with billing info, contract info, etc was very helpful. The quality of their videos are beautiful, and they are considerably affordable. I would DEFINITELY recommend these guys!! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience working with the staff at Thomas Bowen films. My husband wasn't convinced that we needed the extra expense of hiring a videographer, but we are both so glad we did. Geoffrey was our videographer of the day, and he was the ultimate professional. He was not obtrusive in any way, and yet managed to capture so many of the little details that would have been otherwise lost.
The highlight film captures our favorite moments flawlessly, and Geoffrey and Tom worked closely with us on additional edits that we requested after the fact. Always professional, top notch quality, fast to respond to any inquiry, very flexible in the amount of video packages they offer. If you're getting married in DC/VA/MD, you must hire this company immediately! -

Bowen films helped my daughter and he fiancé make a video,about their engagement and filmed her wedding. We played the engagement video at the reception and it was exceptional....lots of tears and requests for a copy of the video. I highly recommend Bowen films and urge brides and family to do video of the event -

I LOVE MY WEDDING VIDEO! Thank you Bowen Films!
A great highlight video was really important to me, and I am so glad we picked Bowen. I wanted something fun and upbeat, and not something overly dramatic or serious. They did such a good job of capturing the happy mood of the day, while still keeping the important serious moments in the video. I also love how they incorporated natural audio (in our case, the toasts) in addition to the songs we chose, which not all wedding videographers do. They were so accommodating and and made two trips to Baltimore for us (rehearsal dinner and wedding). And even though our rehearsal dinner was on New Years Eve, they were able to be there.
Tom and Whitney were our videographers for the wedding day, and they were both great. Tom's brother (I can't remember his name) did the rehearsal dinner, and he was also great. We were in touch with Whitney before and after the wedding to discuss logistics, song choices, and anything else. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. -

Tom was absolutely wonderful. We weren't sure at first if we needed a videographer. After the wedding we realized it was the best thing we did. Tom met with us the day before our wedding to film us. He then captured everything the day of the wedding between him and an associate. He was so nice, and we honestly didn't even notice him during most of the wedding. The highlights video he made was so special and fantastic. His work was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. -

Tom and his whole team were AMAZING! Our wedding video looks like a Hollywood movie. We've watched it over and over and we can't believe the quality of the work. I wasn't sure we needed a video but after seeing this we are so happy we will have this to share with our family and friends for years to come. A joy to work with!
Bowen was a joy to work with on our wedding day. Our camera guy Freddy and his assistant were so personable and delightful. They arrived knowing exactly what shots we had asked for and were on top of the timeline the entire night. I never once “felt” like I was being filmed, and yet they managed to capture so many wonderful moments. The final product was so beautiful, professional, and high-quality. We got the “documentary” film of the ceremony, speeches, and dances, as well as the 5-minute “cinematic highlight” of the entire night, and both were so worth the money. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bowen to anyone looking for a videographer for their special day! -

Extremely Creative!
We worked with Bowen Films for our wedding in June 2018. They did an incredible job, our videos are absolutely amazing! They know how to capture every moment and show all the emotions taking place throughout the day. They truly have mastered this craft and are extremely creative. The team is easy to work with and very professional. I would highly recommend! -

Tom Bowen and his team were so incredibly professional and low-key - I have been at weddings where the videographer has really gotten in the way. We really appreciated that Tom and his team were capturing all the important moments but were not in the way to the point that we almost forgot they were there! Tom was so sweet, super easy to work with and has a great eye. He does beautiful work and his videos are not cookie cutter. He puts a lot of creativity and thought into his videos as is evident from the final product. One of the still photos he grabbed from part of the video was so good that our venue asked to use it in their marketing materials! We are so glad we hired Bowen Films and will cherish our video so we can relive our wedding forever! -

There are not enough words to express our thanks to Tom Bowen for the great work he did on our video. Even our highlight video is AMAZING. We’ve watched it at least 300 times. Tom Bowen captured the beauty of my wedding over 15 years ago. Tom was not intrusive, yet captured all of the sentimental moments on this video. He has continued to create magical videos for special events in my families life such as our son's bris and Bar Mitzvah. I have also worked with Tom over the years as he created corporate videos for my business and recently created our video for The Diener School. Once again, Tom displayed incredible creativity and calm, while sharing his thoughtful perspective. Our video has received rave reviews due to Tom's wonderful ideas and professional output. I have recommended Tom over the last 15 years to friends, family, and colleagues. Absolutely wonderful: on the wedding day AND the final video products. Tom Bowen & Whitney did an excellent job of being unobtrusive; didn't even notice them around at the church or reception (no offense, Tom & Whitney, that's what we wanted). The church had restrictions on where they could stand & didn't want them moving around during the ceremony; they "obeyed" the church rules exactly. I was very concerned about the audio at the ceremony & whether you'd be able to hear every word clearly. It was perfect. Everyone who watches it ends up crying & remarking how professional the video looks ("it looks like a Hollywood movie!"). All products were delivered in the timeframe promised. Tom was very familiar with our venue & arrived on time ready to film. Turns out some photographers are particular about (and don't always get along with) some videographers (they are sharing the same small spaces & can get in each others' way, from what I understand). Tom Bowen and my outstanding photographer Eli Turner had worked some weddings together before, and they worked very well together at my wedding (I'd highly recommend hiring each, if your budget allows). I don't know if Bowen Films can do this for everyone (I got married at a non-busy time of year), but they graciously agreed to make some minor adjustments (switching out a few video clips) after I received the highlight video(s) (Tom & Whitney didn't make any mistakes...they had no way of knowing why we couldn't use certain video clips, it was just my family's preference). It showed me that Bowen Films really does stand by their quality work, and they really do care about the customer's satisfaction with their final products. I am thrilled with the final product & so is everyone I send it to. You can get video done for cheaper, but in my opinion, you can tell the difference. Very, very glad we splurged on a high-quality videographer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, if great quality video is important to you. -

Bowen films captured our wedding day so perfectly. We got a 6 minute highlight film and a longer 2 hour video of our wedding. The highlight film turned out so beautifully and truly captured many beautiful moments of our day. I truly can't believe how beautiful it turned out. The team is truly talented in producing these keepsake videos. They were also very easy to work with and honestly, I don't even remember them being there the day of our wedding, which says A LOT for their ability to shoot these films but not disrupt the day or any moments.

Hiring a videographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and Tom’s team delivered three amazing videos that we – our friends and family included – will treasure for the rest of our lives. They were all beautiful and have brought nearly everyone who has seen them to tears. Great job, great video, so easy to work with. We added this at the last minute and it was the best decision. We hardly knew they were there and now we have a beautiful video to enjoy in the years to come. At first we thought just a photographer would be enough but it is wonderful to have both!!! Looking at the video we see things we forgot or just did not see. The day flies by so fast. We are so glad we booked Tom Bowen. We could not have asked for more. Thank you Tom and Joe so very much! -

I have been so impressed with Thomas Bowen Films! My husband and I looked long and hard and found that his quality of films was the same if not better than others in the DC area and his prices were competitive. The videographer captured every moment at the wedding, but was never intrusive or got in the way. He already knew the rules about where he was allowed to film at our church which helped tremendously with planning. Most importantly, the finished product was amazing! We couldn't be happier with our video and the highlights video that were given to us! Mr. Bowen is great to work with - we had one request for a change to the video once we received it. Mr. Bowen got back to us immediately and was willing to do all of our requests without any problem. I would recommend to him to anyone! -

Beyond Incredible!
We were initially going to forgo a videographer for our wedding due to the cost, but we are so thrilled that we changed our mind and that we decided to hire Bowen Films! From the very first interaction with Tom, we felt like we were in excellent hands. We also knew that Bowen Films was awesome when our photographer told us that they loved working with them (this is not always the case). On the wedding day, everything went incredibly smoothly and Whitney and team worked extremely well with our photographer team! Fast forward to receiving our wedding video and we were over the moon! Both the highlight and full-length film did an incredible job of evoking emotion, representing us as a couple, and capturing the best parts of our big day (they also made us look like movie stars and everyone look like professional dancers haha). The highlight film was so beautiful and fun and us and everyone who watches it cannot help but smile and cry tears of joy. The wedding day went by in such a blur, so we are so thankful that we have these films to help us remember all the special parts of our big day. We cannot wait to watch on our anniversaries! -

I absolutely love my wedding video!! I hardly even noticed Tom and his assistant the whole day. They were extremely professional and unobtrusive the whole time. Best Invesment!
I am so thankful we went with Bowen Films for our wedding. From the first initial call with Tom to the weeks leading up to our wedding to post-production, him and his team were super communicative and responsive. From the highlight video to the full feature film, they captured the day so perfectly and have given us a video we will cherish forever, going above and beyond our expectations. Tom and the whole team at Bowen Films were amazing -- very professional, responsive, and easy to work with, but also incredibly creative and talented. At first we weren't even sure that we were going to hire a videographer, but after seeing the final product, we are so thrilled that we did. The footage of the ceremony, etc. is incredible, and the highlight video they put together perfectly captured our whole evening. Bowen Films was the first vendors I booked. I had seen their videos of other weddings and knew that I needed them to capture my wedding day! The team was responsive throughout the whole process and allowed me to add to my package just a few weeks before the wedding. Our social media edit was sent to us just days after the wedding allowing us to relive some of the highlights! This short film alone was incredibly done, I can only imagine what our longer film is going to look like. Our two videographers were very professional and helped us feel at ease on our wedding day. I would highly recommend the Bowen Films Team. -

We loved working with Bowen Films for our wedding! They came highly recommended to us by our planner, Evoke DC and our photographer, Sarah Bradshaw and both recommendations were spot on. The team, specifically Whitney, was easy to work with from start to finish, professional and kind throughout the process and like flies on the wall throughout the day. They captured moments throughout the day that just wouldn't be the same on still images. They impressively turned around our teaser in less than 48 hours which was an amazing treat and we just received our final videos - a 4.5 minute highlight and 1 hr and 40ish minute video - within the first 2.5 months of marriage. I would recommend Bowen Films without hesitation for any videography needs; they gave us video memories to last a lifetime. -

We weren't going to go with a videographer at first, but once we saw Bowen Film's work, we were floored and enamored. Not only is their work spectacular, but their process is easy, and their communication is top notch. I actually found Bowen Films from amazing reviews here on Wedding Wire so thanks to all of you! They absolutely lived up to the reviews and did even better than the reviews I read.
I stalked multiple videos and blogs before I reached out to Tom Bowen. I loved their work, I loved what they captured. My fiance (now husband) and I met with Tom one evening to talk over the day. What a great guy - so down to earth, so laid back and took all of our details and helped plan a way to capture our day. Tom was able to take everything I was looking for and help build a special package that fit us best - that's huge! Not everyone is that flexible and accommodating.
The 2nd videographer that assisted on our wedding day was Freddy Galea. All I have to say is WOW! Freddy is awesome! He helped do the coverage of all of us girls getting ready and he knew more about weddings than any girl with me. He blew me away with his knowledge of almost everything I was asking. Freddy was so fun the whole day - ALWAYS ALWAYS smiling or laughing and just in general looked like he was having a blast. Our guests kept commenting on how nice he was. He was able to set up and capture special moments of just my husband and I. Freddy loves what he does and you can absolutely tell!
I can't wait to see the final videos! Thanks for all of your help with making our wedding day perfect! So hoping to work with you in the future :) -

Working with Tom and Freddy was an absolute pleasure! Their professional help leading up to our Wedding darn was extremely helpful, and also allowed us to to have the results we expected. Not only are they a great team to work with, but they are not intrusive when filming, aka the cameras are not in your face or in the way of guests when walking down the isle and dancing at the reception. Bowen Films team was probably our greatest and best investment throughout our wedding planning, on the actual day, and post wedding.
Tom was very flexible with us during the planning process and asked us all the right questions to capture our day. We had Tom and Jon on the day of the wedding and they were fantastic. I honestly don't remember seeing Tom most of the day. They captured everything even though we had a very tight timeline and schedule.
Post wedding we communicated with Whitney, who is so friendly and so responsive and accommodating. We sent our invitation to her to include in our video and she gladly took footage of it for us. We had all our three products (insta video, highlights video, and full film) in a timely fashion. We didn't cringe or cover our eyes watching ourselves on screen - they are artists and professionals and it showed. Also they captured everything, things we were sad that the photographer missed were in our videos. That was amazing.
We got our final film on a thumb drive in a personalized package. Not even our photographer had such professional, nice touch. Bowen Films is worth every penny!! Thank you for being a huge part of our day and for delivering quite possibly the greatest wedding day gift. -

Perfect day!
When we started planning our wedding, a videographer was never high on our priority list. But after covid forced us to downsize the guest list, we wanted to give our friends and family who couldn’t make it to the wedding something to hold onto from our big day. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Tom. From the very first phone call, Tom listened to our priorities and what we were looking for from him, and on the day of - he and his daughter Whitney executed flawlessly. Our original videographer cancelled at the last minute and we just happen to find Thomas Bowen through an online search. We were impressed with their portfolio, they were responsive and accommodating to our requests, and provided friendly service. Our assigned videographer was professional and seemed to really care about our whole day which I think translated well on video. They are a little pricey, but I think it was well worth it. -

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Just stellar quality, excellent product, and extreme professionalism. There is absolutely no reason not to use Tom and his team for your videography needs. During our wedding, my husband and I and our guests never even noticed he and his partner were there. And because there were two of them, they maximizied time and options by having one videographer in one location, while the other covered another. The resulting product was simply outstanding.
The day just flew by so fast, and before we knew it, it was over--and Tom captured every moment of it! We chose the HD videography, which cost a little more than his standard videography. However, the cost of his HD quality videography was significantly less expensive than what many other videographer's charge for their standard 8-10 hours of coverage. If we ever need a special event captured again, we will absolutely call Tom. He is award-winning for a reason! -
