Booking a wedding planner can be one of the hardest decisions in the wedding planning process because they have such a direct impact on how your day unfolds — and we are SO incredibly glad we chose Brooke with Boutique Planning.
From our very first introductory call, Brooke exuded warmth and calmness while also instilling immediate confidence that she could handle every detail flawlessly. Throughout the entire planning process, she was responsive, proactive, enthusiastic, kind, and endlessly reassuring. She took the time not only to truly get to know my husband and me on a personal level, but also to fully understand our vision for the day and the elements that mattered most to us.
As a very Type A person, I knew I needed a planner I could fully trust in order to be present and actually enjoy my wedding day. Brooke gave me so much confidence that somehow my usual day-to-day Type A personality transformed into the most relaxed, Type B bride all weekend long — which says everything.
Even when my bustle decided to misbehave, Brooke kept me calm and handled it immediately. I also personally watched her interact with every vendor and guest with nothing but kindness, patience, and professionalism.
People always tell you to prepare for the inevitable — that something is bound to go wrong and you just have to accept it. But by the grace of God, along with Brooke’s incredible preparation, organization, and foresight, I did not notice a single mishap or experience one moment of stress during our entire wedding weekend.
Brooke — I am so incredibly grateful for you and all that you did throughout this process. I will genuinely miss our chats, and I wish you nothing but the very best.

All kidding aside my daughter’s wedding at the Sanctuary fell at the same week a Nor’easter went up the east coast. Along with torrential rain, flooding and Kings tide, our year long outdoor wedding seemed doomed. However Ashley and team sprung into turbo action and resolved conflicts and annoyances from the event space. She took the burden off our shoulders and allowed us to enjoy a beautiful day celebrating our daughter and son in law in spite of the weather. She even brought rain boots for my daughter to get pictures on the beach when the weather cleared for a few hours. Who thinks of that??? When someone goes above and beyond in the most difficult circumstances to make their clients happy says something about ther passion and dedication to their profession.
Ashley was a gem and joy to work with. Her personality is always upbeat, even when we were stressed or worried about the insignificant things parents or the bride worry about. She navigated us properly from the very beginning to this day as we are dealing with things left at the venue and how to ship home to Rochester. The only thing she couldn’t do was give us good weather.
I strongly recommend boutique planners if you want personalized service, good communication and a hard working team that is focus on their clients. If I ever planned a wedding again, (and i will not! 1 and only daughter 😉), I would only hire Ashley. -

BOOK BROOKE!! We worked with Brooke for the last year and a half on making our big day special. Through COVID, change of dates, change of guest counts, change of seasons, etc, Brooke was our freakin' rock. She is an absolute lovely human being on top of being the most professional, reliable, supportive, and organized wedding planner you could ask for. She remembered every random detail and request we had, and made sure our day was perfect. It was a million times better than I ever could've dreamt, and Brooke made it all come to life behind the scenes. She is a true gem of the wedding planning industry and the best in the biz in Charleston, and I highly, HIGHLY recommend using her and her team. Thank you, Brooke, for the best day of our lives!! -

Dream wedding - thanks to Brooke at Boutique Planning!
Brooke Southern Miller at Boutique Planning is the absolute BEST! We recommend her wholeheartedly for wedding planning.
We got married in March 2019 in Charleston, S.C. We had so many details to work through - a completely outdoor wedding at Lowndes Grove, which essentially involves building a reception from scratch on their beautiful site; creating the wedding ceremony from start to finish; and incorporating our families, 13 bridesmaids and eight groomsmen into the ceremony. We really wanted it to be fun, personal and special. Brooke delivered in every way, executing our vision and every detail flawlessly.
Brooke was there for us from our first phone call through the end of the reception. She is very attentive, extremely detail oriented and organized, incredibly knowledgeable, and exceedingly kind and patient. She handled all of my questions - of which there were many - with care. She really took the time to listen and provide guidance throughout the entire process. She was always available to talk via call, text, email or in person. She even came to my final fitting since my family wasn't in town yet! It can be a very stressful time, so having a skilled, warm person guiding you is absolutely crucial.
The planning was so thoughtfully done and detailed. The wedding day, ceremony and reception were handled seamlessly and beautifully. Everyone raved about how lovely, sweet and stunning our wedding was, and most importantly, our families were so happy, and so were we! I have no doubt that the wedding we had was made possible through Brooke's expertise. She knows the vendors. She plans every detail. She thinks of the little things and the big things. She has your back. She is a joy to be around - kind, funny and calm. Seriously, hire her now! You will be thrilled! We are so very grateful. Thank you, Brooke!

Where do I even begin!? Brooke was hands down the best choice we made when choosing a wedding planner and we would recommend her to ANYONE getting married in the Charleston area! She's absolutely amazing! My husband and I are from New Jersey but actually met and went to the College of Charleston. When searching for a wedding planner, we wanted someone who was not only experienced with long distance wedding planning but someone we could relate to on a personal level. Brooke graduated from CofC so right off the bat we had that in common. She was incredible inside and out. She was so beyond patient with us and always knew what to say when I would start to get stressed about absolutely anything. She always had a very relaxing tone and whenever something wouldn't go totally as planned, she always figured out an alternative. She gave me vendors to choose from for every category- all vendors were within our budget which meant A LOT. She never tried to make us spend more money than we had to and helped us cut costs with anything we could. She knew what was important to us and honestly found the best vendors in Charleston. Any time we came down to Charleston, Brooke made time to meet with us and go through everything so thoroughly. She was incredibly organized, extremely detailed oriented and was always thinking about things to make our day even better. Her timeline was updated at each session that we would meet, which I appreciated so much. She was available via text, email and even long phone calls at any time during our year and a half engagement. She's really personable and so naturally becomes one of your best friends while planning the best day of your life.
Day of- she was INCREDIBLE. Everything went completely seamless (or at least we did not notice a single thing that went wrong). We had SIX kids in our ceremony and she even managed to have them all walk down the aisle (impressive!). She coordinated our two singers for the ceremony with the string players without me having to get involved at all. Nothing went unnoticed. Every little detail of our wedding day got complimented- even the napkins and names on the tables that Brooke recommended. EVERY LITTLE DETAIL was perfect. Two months later, and I still have guests telling me how fantastic our wedding planner was. She made sure we always had a drink in our hand (water or specialty!) and made sure we ate our delicious dinner. She even saved us a bunch of food for after the wedding.
We really can't recommend Brooke enough. I even miss texting with her weekly! She's very talented and has a million connections with vendors all over Charleston, you will not be disappointed. We would choose Brooke over and over again. She is worth EVERY PENNY! -

I can't say enough good things about Ashley. She was kind, organized, patient, and efficient throughout the whole process. Being an out of town bride, she was crucial in making great recommendations for vendors. She was able to take our very general ideas about what we wanted and turn it into a beautiful day. All of our guests commented at how smoothly everything ran on wedding day and how calm Ashley was throughout. Our wedding exceeded our expectations because of Ashley! -

Amazing Wedding Thanks to Brooke Southern and Boutique Planning!!!
I’ll start with the bottom line: book Brooke and the team at Boutique Planning to plan your wedding! Our wedding day is an event we will cherish forever, and it would have never happened without Brooke Southern (Miller).
We’ll have to be honest in saying we didn’t know that a wedding planner would be “worth” the money when we first started budgeting. We are fairly organized, type-A individuals as it stands, so planning a party with all our favorite people seemed like a breeze (at first). But upon further due-diligence, we started realizing how much effort and coordination would be necessary to plan our big day. This wedding planning stuff is harder than it looks! We realized we needed to call on reinforcements.
Enter Brooke and Boutique Planning. We first met Brooke over a casual cocktail in town. Not only were we impressed by her thoughtful questions (both about our wedding dreams and our relationship), but she was so down to earth! Wedding planning is a journey, and we knew right off the bat that that this was someone not only more than capable of leading us through that journey, but also someone we wanted to bring along with us through such a fun and exciting (but often daunting) time of our lives.
Through the near 1.5 years we spent working and planning with Brooke, she always made us feel as if our wedding was her number one priority (even though she obviously had other events to work on). Given we are from out of town, she answered every call, text and e-mail almost immediately - and always with a helpful and quick solution to any issue that came up (and trust us, there will always be hiccups!). She also always made time for us when we in Charleston, even if it was super last minute.
Brooke was incredibly organized, which was a huge help because we worked with over a dozen vendors. Brooke was on top of every detail - from negotiating contracts, to making payments, to day of coordination - we never felt like there was a task she couldn’t handle. She helped guide all our budgeting, which is needed in a time where you can easily feel like everything seems necessary, but your budget isn’t endless. Given her experience and expertise, she was able to help us choose vendors in our price range, but also decide what details were “worth” it and which were just fluff that no one (including us) would remember.
Most importantly, Brooke was always so thoughtful. She took the time to listen and understand what style/feel/vibe we wanted for our wedding. Brooke somehow struck a perfect balance of calm and patient, but also incredibly on top of everything. I should mention we had a last minute rain storm that created some massive changes in our game plan, but Brooke was there to solve it, almost effortlessly and with perfect execution. Throughout the process, we would come to her with an idea, and she knew exactly what to do to transform it into a (realistic) reality. Brooke left no stone unturned in every minute detail of our big day. By the end of our wedding, Brooke was not just our planner but also a friend.
Brooke, from the bottom of our big hearts, thank you for everything. Thank you for handling the tough stuff so we never had to stress. We sincerely were able to enjoy every detail of our wedding and remember what it’s really about - sharing your love with all your favorite people in one place and starting a new life together. We hope we can stay close, as we keep saying to each other - we miss Brooke!!!
To anyone looking to book Brooke and the Boutique Planning team, I promise it’s more than worth it. She will stand by and guide you through every step of the way. Don’t hesitate for a moment!!! -

Ashley and the whole Boutique Planning team went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect! I had a very clear image of what I wanted my wedding to look like and a very tight budget. Ashley was able to use her experience and connections to make my vision a reality all within a realistic price point. She was not afraid to advocate for me when booking and managing vendors, communicating clearly with me throughout the whole process. If I wanted to do something on my own, Ashley left me to it and was eager to step in and help when I came across an aspect of planning I didn't want to deal with.
The day of the wedding her and her team made the entire day go off without a hitch. She was on site early to make sure set up went smoothly and coordinated everything so all I needed to focus on was getting ready and enjoying the day. She was so kind and helpful to the entire wedding party- ensuring everyone knew what to do and where to go. There were so many details she kept in mind throughout the wedding that I could never have kept track of- for example she took my bouquet after pictures and safely displayed them during the reception. She was sure to give them back to me before our send off so we would have flowers in our send-off pictures. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but once I got the pictures back I was SO happy to have our florals in them.
I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed working with Ashley! I highly recommend her and Boutique Planning to be on your team as you embark on planning your wedding! -
