My husband and I had our wedding reception here a week and a half ago, and have nothing but great things to say about Bond Ballroom. First, the venue is absolutely gorgeous, with an incredible view of the Capitol building, a huge dance floor, and vintage charm. They offer a private food and cake tasting for 4 people, with full portions of the hors d’oeuvres and meals. We thought the food was amazing after our tasting, and it did not disappoint on our wedding day. We have had several friends and relatives tell us the filet mignon was potentially the best they’d ever eaten! You really can’t go wrong with any of the food options. The cake, also baked by their chef, was out of this world - we also had several guests say it was in their top 5 (and it’s in my top 3)! Nina was amazing as well, answering questions in the year leading up to the wedding and serving as a day-of coordinator. She is well respected by all our vendors, and has connections with awesome vendors should you need recommendations. Nina helped put us at ease throughout our planning process and made our reception run seamlessly. I am already trying to find a way to host another event at Bond Ballroom because we all loved it so much!

Just had my wedding there and everything was amazing! Was worried the venue was too large for my 125 guests and nina and her crew made the ballroom look stunning. She was very accommodating and easy to work with. Had the upstairs set up beautifully for my bridesmaids and I. Some of the Little touches were really nice. The chapel looked great, apps and drinks were on point for cocktail hour. She even helped us last minute get a shuttle for pictures. Had an evening wedding lights, colors, food was great. I’d highly recommend this venue for your big day!

Words can’t describe how amazing our experience was at the Bond Ballroom. From our first tour of the Ballroom to planning and of course the wedding day it was truly a magical experience that will forever be remembered. The service was outstanding and any questions I had were answered and clarified and the professionalism was excellent! Don’t think twice about booking your wedding day at the Bond Ballroom. I would have relived my wedding day over and over again because of our amazing experience!

Our wedding at the majestic Bond Ballroom was nothing short of the perfect wedding day for my husband and I. The venue exceeded our expectations at all points, including service, food, convenience and aesthetic. The classic, elegant, vintage (in all the right ways) ballroom itself was enough to sell us on hosting our reception there, and Nina and her team continued to impress us throughout the planning process and the wedding day itself with their flexibility, collaboration and organization.
If you are looking for a jaw-dropper venue with all of the conveniences of one-stop venue, the Bond is an excellent choice. The venue includes the ballroom itself, a gorgeous and comfortable bridal suite, an elegant cocktail room adjacent to a newly designed chapel, all within a hotel for the convenience of you and your guests. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite, which was more than enough space for all 8 ladies and I, moms and the salon between the suite itself and the mezzanine level above the beautiful ballroom. Our cocktail hour in the cocktail room seamlessly transitioned into our reception in the ballroom. We even capped off the weekend with a day-after breakfast in the cocktail room, where Nina and her team had carefully arranged our centerpieces from the night before.
We have heard consistent feedback from our guests, that we agree with wholeheartedly, that the food was amazing. The chef created unbelievable plates for our guests, along with an array of amazing appetizers at cocktail hour, and delicious cake and desserts during the reception. The menu options and add-ons are diverse, allowing you to customize to your tastes and style.
If you're looking for a classic, city-chic ballroom wedding venue with convenience, professionalism and a delicious menu, the Bond is for you!

The best decision we made when planning our wedding was to choose Bond. Bond provided us with the most special and magical day of our lives. Nina and her team worked tirelessly to make sure everything was just right for our big day. Bond made us feel special from the initial booking, through our private tasting and the whole planning process. Bond continued to make us feel incredibly special through our wedding day with so much attention to detail and extra touches for the event.

Bond also provided us with convenience. We wanted an all in one venue. We ended up receiving countless compliments from our guests of how smooth and easy the day felt by having everything at Bond. The distinct spaces within the same building, including Chapel, Cocktail Room, Ballroom, Bridal Suite and hotel rooms, was amazing. Nina and the team worked especially hard to get the new Chapel opened and looking beautiful for our wedding this past May. We were thrilled with the top floor Ballroom for our reception. The view of Hartford towards Bushnell Park, the Capitol and the Arch was magnificent. The chandelier, high ceilings, large dance floor and historic setting were stunning. The large dance floor stayed full all night. We went with one of the Bond’s preferred vendors Audio Media Solutions as our DJ and event lighting which worked perfectly for us.

The staff, chefs, and bakers for the Bond team were wonderful. All of the food was incredible. The cake looked elegant and tasted delicious. The oreo buttercream filling was a big hit! The bar was incredibly stocked and many of our guests noted how friendly the bartenders were to them through the evening.

We wish we could relive our wedding day again and again. If we could do it again, we would choose Bond. We are so grateful for the day that Bond gave to us. Book your wedding at Bond to have a convenient all in one venue with gorgeous distinct spaces and a team of hard-working, kind and fun professionals.

After many years of enjoying the venue it is nice to see that they continue to improve the room and consistently have great service and food.

My daughter and son in law had their wedding reception at the Bond Ballroom in October of 2018. It was an incredible night! The venue is magical! The ballroom is beautiful and the views are breathtaking - such an incredible backdrop for a wonderful night. Nina and her staff were on hand from the beginning of the planning to the last minute of the reception. Nina, Annie and Michael were phenomenal. Professional, but kind, caring and fun at the same time! The food was absolutely delicious - from the appetizers, entrees, sides to the cakes and desserts -incredible- compliments to the Chef!! We received so many compliments on the entire night - it went by far too quickly! Thank you Nina and everyone at Bond for a once in a lifetime night!

Nina and the entire staff at the Bond Ballroom were AMAZING!! From start to finish I had a wonderful experience. The venue was spotless and beautiful. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was phenomenal!!
Nina was amazing to work with. She was so fast at responding to any email or call I made to her and was so accommodating to help me make this dream venue my own.
Annie and Mike were amazing at the bar. So fast and friendly and made sure my entire bridal party and I were always taken care of .

The dance floor is huge which was perfect for our 170 people who attended.

Bravo. A majestic ballroom, great views, delicious food and a staff that went above and beyond our expectations, all came together to create a magical night for my daughter’s sweet sixteen celebration. Our guests were amazed at the splendor of the room and spacious dance area while also highly complimenting the food. Event director Nina was very resourceful and accommodating. I highly recommend The Bond Ballroom for any celebration.

Nina and her team at The Bond were the reason for our sanity on the day of our wedding! She and her team were absolutely phenomenal! They were on top of everything we asked them, and catered to almost everything we requested. The room was stunningly beautiful, and everyone on staff was so sweet, caring, and nice! They were all respectful and made sure everything was perfect! Not to mention, the food was absolutely to die for! Highly recommend The Bond to everyone! If you're looking for a beautiful venue that has it all-- a gorgeous room with a view over Hartford, delicious food, and cake included--then check out the Bond Ballroom. We had our wedding there on February 18, 2017, and it was amazing. Elli was so helpful and made sure that everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and so was the cake. All of our guests had an amazing time.

The Bond is beautiful and has wonderful food. More importantly, the staff is exceptional. I had so many questions and requests along the way and Elli, the coordinator was so patient and always answered my questions promptly and provided so many helpful suggestions and offerings. We got so many compliments on the venue and food and I would highly recommend Elli, Joe, & The Bond. They went above and beyond putting out all of my small details, after I left our final meeting I felt a huge weight off my chest knowing they would execute everything exactly as I had envisioned and they certainly did!

My husband and I had the best experience with the Bond Ballroom this past October with our wedding. Elli was so helpful the entire time when planning and the reception we had was perfect. Everything happened so seamlessly the entire night and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone of our guests loved the beauty of the room and being able to stay in the hotel downstairs. I highly recommend the Bond!

We had the best day of our lives at the Bond! We were working with Joe, and emailing with Ellie, so it was a little confusing at first as to who we were actually working with. Joe did our wedding, and he was lovely to work with!! He was very accommodating and flexible. We had several guests with severe nut allergies, and they adjusted the menu accordingly. The room and views are just GORGEOUS! We did extend our reception an hour, and I HIGHLY recommend this...if not two hours! The day just flies by. Our ceremony was off site, and our limo driver got lost getting to a place we wanted photos done at, and Joe was great about keeping our guests in the cocktail hour in the downstairs ballroom so we had time to get upstairs and do some photos before everyone got up to the main ballroom. The food was DELICIOUS, and we got nothing but rave reviews about it! We were nervous about the cake, because it was not included in the tasting, and they make the cake onsite. It was moist and tasty as well! We opted for cupcakes, and I asked for funfetti for one of our flavor choices, which was not a listed option, and they happily provided me funfetti! I must have overlooked the "Top Shelf" bar options when we were looking at the packages, because I am somewhat of a Vodka snob, and their top shelf vodka was Smirnoff, which I don't particularly care for (but MY mistake). I would have opted for the "Premium" bar package had I realized, and no complaints, this was my error. The staff was all very accommodating, and made sure we were well taken care of! I would absolutely have a function here again, and all of our friends want us to have a do-over because they had so much fun!

One point I would like to note for couples who need to have non-Western food served at their wedding while hosting the reception at a Class A venue. The Bond Ballroom is for you.

The Bond was one of a few CT vendors that accommodated our cultural heritage culinary needs and allowed for outside South Asian caterers in addition to providing the Bond's delicious continental cuisine. In this day and age of celebrating multicultural diversity, I was surprised by how many CT venues were not able to accommodate our needs. Kudos to Joe and the entire Bond Ballroom staff for working hand-in-hand with our South Asian caterers.

Again, thank you very much for your accommodation and top notch hospitality. We will be sure to reccommend the Bond as the perfect venue to host exceptional events.

The Bond was perfect the room is gorgeous and the food was excellent. Most of the guest text us to say how great the food was.Even the dishes and glassware were great. Working with Joe and Ellie was a pleasure willing to go out of there way to make it our special day. Thank you so much for creating a wonderful memory :)

We had a fantastic experience with the Bond Ballroom and Elli and Joe. We heard nothing but good things from our guests. We did our ceremony in their first floor ballroom (we had 150 guests, while there were chairs, a lot of people also stood to the side to see better as there are some pillars). Then up to the 11th floor ballroom – I think people were blown away by how pretty the ballroom and view are. We loved the space, and loved that the hotel was attached – it made our day convenient for everyone. We did our entrances via the staircase and then loved the huge dance floor. Got lots of compliments on the food – we did spinach stuffed chicken with sherry cream sauce, steak (huge portion), the delicious gratin potato side, and then we did pasta with tomato alfredo sauce instead of salad – people really seemed to like this. We also did cupcakes instead of cake which were a hit (they still made us a cake top to cut and keep). We had our cocktail hour and reception in the Bond Ballroom – it seemed people liked having access to the tables early if they wanted. While it was busy taking elevators up from first floor after ceremony, it’s easier than driving somewhere! We did first look pics offsite beforehand so then we just did some family pictures during cocktail hour. They did a great job executing everything we discussed. Joe and Elli were awesome to work with for our wedding. Everyone loved the beauty of this venue. The views of the city are gorgeous and the room itself is stunning. Elli made sure that the evening flowed smoothly- I didn't have to worry about anything during the night. Everyone thought the food was wonderful- it came out hot, and no one had to wait. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone getting married in the Hartford area.

The Ann Howard Bond Ballroom is the perfect place to host your wedding reception. The food is amazing and Joe is very easy to work with. Our guests were shocked by how amazing everything was!!!

The Bond Ballroom is absolutely beautiful and reasonable! The view from the top floor is breathtaking. The food is DELICIOUS! When you book a venue, you don't get to taste the food until a few months before your wedding. It is really kind of silly when you probably care a lot about how the food tastes when you book the place. I had trusted what I had heard about the food at The Bond Ballroom and it was confirmed at the tasting and at our wedding. Not only did we love our food, but our guests did as well! It says alot when people go out of their way to compliment the food. Joe and Ellie (coordinators) are both really helpful and easy to work with! Definitely recommend this venue for the wedding!

When my husband and I got engaged over a year ago we started to look at reception sites. We booked an appointment to look at the Bond Ballroom and were blown away. We actually were so happy with what we saw and heard about the Bond that we took our parents there later in the day and booked our date. We were really impressed. Not only did the Bond meet all our expectations on our wedding day of 11/27/10 they went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. I wanted an classy, elegant, and reception site like no one else. The Bond truly delivers. The food is in a class of its own, our cake was a masterpiece and the room speaks for itself. Everyone that we dealt with at the Bond especially Joe and Elie were professional and very helpful in listening to what we wanted our day night to be like. The Bond is in a class of its own and we are so happy that our wedding day will be unforgettable not only to us but our guests.

I cannot speak highly enough of this reception venue. My husband and I were married on 8-8-08. The Bond is a hidden gem in my opinion. I wanted an elegant, classy wedding and there is no way to have anything else if you have it at the Bond. The victorian ballroom is breathtaking and my guests still talk about it. The view at sunset is amazing and Bushnell Park provided us with gorgeous pictures. The food was delicous. It is one of the few places that allow you to have a full tasting and give you doggy bags to bring home! Ann Howard catering is a highly reputable caterer. My cake was excatly like the picture I gave them for the design. The prices are extremely reasonable. Elli and Joe are very professional. They are on top of things and run a very good business. Another bonus is the Homewood Suites which are in the same building. All you have to do is hop on the elevator and go to your beautiful room afterwards. Our guests still rave about the reception and convenience of the hotel. The Bond was everything I was looking for and made my wedding absolutely perfect. Two of our guests just recently were engaged and she called me to tell me that they booked the Bond and if it wasn't for our wedding, would not have known about it. I am so happy to be returning there to experience the Bond again!

The Bond was an incredible place to have a wedding, and Elli and Joe were wonderful, professional people to work with throughout the planning. Everything went very smoothly and things were done in a timely manner. All my emails/calls received quick and informative responses leading up to the wedding day. An example of their willingness to work with me is my hesitation regarding the traditional cocktail hour room. It seemed a little stiff to me, just not 100% what I was looking for. Elli asked us if we would want to hold cocktail hour in the actual reception ballroom. I thought this was a great idea, and we did this. We hired a string quarter for cocktail hour to differentiate between the band at the time of reception. It was a huge success, and people enjoyed having access to their tables immediately so they could put their belongings down and then meander about the gorgeous ballroom while they socialized and looked out on breathtaking views of Hartford.

Breath taking views of Hartford is not something one hears about every day, but the Bond Ballroom does just that: provides some of the most beautiful shots of Hartford that there are. Guests who had never been up to the ballroom before could not believe that this was in Hartford. It is a hidden gem.

Elli was great on the actual day of the wedding, overseeing everything personally and making sure whatever needed to get done, got done!

The food was delicious. We went with sea bass, filet mignon, and the vegetarian option. I have heard nothing but positive feedback regarding all courses. My personal favorite was the penne ala vodka but I have heard different opinions from many different people, all favorable.

This place was so great that I actually have a friend who already booked her wedding there for August 2013. Absolutely loved it! I highly recommend checking out the Bond to any future brides.

I love, love, love the Bond. I want to get married there every weekend. First and foremost, the food is a hundred, million percent delicious. At the tasting, I fell in love with the food, which was just as good, if not better, at the wedding. I wanted to customize my menu, so I was able to add a station and an extra hour of dancing to my package with no problems and a reasonable cost. The second best thing, beyond food, was the atmosphere. It's a beautiful location and the views of the capital cannot be matched. In addition, the hotel was very clean and guests enjoyed staying there. I had MANY special requests, and they met all of them. The staff are awesome and on the ball. In addition, the managers, Joe and Elli, are super. Don't be fooled--they aren't warm and fuzzy, but they are going to be the ones who get all of your things CORRECT on your big day. They don't mess around. My only complaint is that my crowd was big on the eating, and food ran a little short during cocktail hour. However, the food was so good and the drinks were flowing.

If you are at all considering the Bond, I would 100% say yes.

We knew we wanted a downtown Hartford wedding and the huge dance floor checked off one of our boxes as well, but we never imagined the over the top service we received throughout our planning process. Nina and her team went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. It all started with the tasting where we ate like kings and were able to customize appetizers and meals to our liking. We were able to store our wedding items in advance of our wedding which helped ease some of the stress leading up to our wedding day. The staff helped prep the room and customized each table to what we had envisioned and made sure each detail we had planned was executed. The bridal suite being on the second level gave us the opportunity to feel connected to our guests the entire night, but still have a space to take a deep breathe. The food and bar were top notch and our guests can’t stop raving about it. Nina was open to adding different types of beer and alcohol (not like we needed it), but it made us feel that much more special. Being able to get photos on the roof at sunset was a special break during the reception that we’ll never forget. Thank you to the Bond team, especially Nina, Annie and Mike, for making our wedding day a stress free, amazing and fun day! Look no further, the Bond is a well-oiled machine!

We had our wedding reception at the Bond Ballroom in September of 2018. I worked with Nina the wedding venue coordinator. Nina was very amicable and very helpful throughout the process. She took me step by step with the organization of the reception. She answered all questions and was very flexible to my needs. The venue was decorated beautifully and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had many compliments from our guest. The large windows showed a spectacular view of downtown. The food was delicious, the dance floor incredibly large, that's what attracted us the most. We had access to the rooftop which our photographer took the most beautiful sunset pictures of me and my husband. Overall the experience at the Bond Ballroom was wonderful. Honestly the only thing that I wasn't to thrilled about was the parking lot situation, you have a choice of paying for all your guest parking otherwise your guest will have to pay for the use of the parking lot. Besides that I would definitely recommend the Bond.

We were so pleased with the Bond - beautiful, old fashioned ballroom with a view; excellent food and service; very professionally run. Everything went off without a hitch and our guests loved it!

I highly recommend the Bond Ballroom. The staff were outstanding and were always there when I needed them. The food was delicious and the price was comparable if not better than other places of the same quality.

We loved having our wedding at the Bond Ballroom! In my opinion, it doesn't get enough reviews. I had my reservations in the beginning - Its a pretty space during the day with character and amazing views on the 11th floor but at night and fully decorated for a wedding its breathtaking!!! The coordinator may not be the friendliest or responsive person prior to the wedding but on the day of, the entire place delivers! The food was delicious and the package pricing was very affordable for the services that you get. We had many out of town guests and they all loved that they only had to go down a few floors to get to their rooms. Thanks for everything!!

I emceed a party at the Bond last weekend. Annie and her team were dynamic. Every request I had was met in a timely fashion. Annie and the Bartender were polite and PROFESSIONAL. The waitstaff handled the buffet LINE so Quickly. This was a big event with alot of guests! Bravo Bond Ballroom. The biggest ballroom EVER.

My wedding reception was all that I dreamed it would be. The Bond has a beautiful site, and the food was quite good.

On March 6, 2019, we entered into a contract with Bond for our wedding reception, originally scheduled for April 18, 2020. Of course, COVID-19 changed everything, but Bond failed to render anything close to the services for which we originally contracted, forcing us to go to another vendor while Bond kept deposit funds to which it was not entitled.

As per the Contract, on March 6, 2019, we provided Bond with a $2,000 non-refundable deposit on December 18, 2019, we provided Bond with $10,000, 50% of the estimated cost of the event. As a result of COVID-19, we agreed to reschedule the Reception to September 11, 2020. However, as September 11, 2020 approached, it became clear that Bond could not substantially perform under the Contract and intended to enrich itself by keeping our entire $12,000 while not providing services worth anything close to that amount. He returned $5000 but refused to return the other $5000 or even provide a credit for that amount. So basically he thought he was entitled to keep $7000 of our hard earned money for services he did not provide.

We attempted to resolve this issue with Bond, who refused to renegotiate the terms of the contract or take any steps to accommodate the number of guests for which we had paid, forcing us to find another venue which could actually accommodate our guests. Bond essentially made it impossible for us to have our reception and then forced us to cancel it so that they could keep nearly all of the 50% deposit.
We tried our best to come to an agreement with Bond, but their inflexibility and desire to keep our deposit put a damper on what should have been a stress free and happy time. The owner was very rude and disrespectful and totally unwilling to talk to us. He truly made it a nightmare for us and just kept our money for services he was unwilling to provide. He compared a wedding venue to an airline, stating that airlines were not giving refunds so why should he (which is not true because we received a full refund from our airline for our honeymoon). I would not recommend this venue.

They ERRONEOUSLY CHARGED THE WRONG ACCOUNT, WHEN THEY WERE GIVEN SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS TO NOT CHARGE ONE ACCOUNT, WHEN THEY DID IT TOOK THEM OVER THREE DAYS TO REVERSE THE CHARGE, WHICH CAUSED A DOMINO EFFECT AND BANK CHARGES, AND THEY CONTINUE TO CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND BUSINESS ETIQUETTE, AS THE MANAGER BLAMED THE CHEF, THEN WHEN PRESENTED WITH A DETAILED- TIMELINE, ELLE SAYS " THIS HASN'T HAPPENED BEFORE" , INSTEAD OF ADMITTING THE MISTAKE AND REIMBURSING FOR THE FEES THEY CAUSED, THEY IGNORED THE LETTER. I AM GOING TO THE BETTER BUSINESS AND CONSUMER PROTECTIONS AGENCY, AND IF I HAVE TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT. BECAUSE THEY'RE LARGE, THEY FEEL THAT THEY CAN DISREGARD THEIR MISTAKES, BUT I AM A PERSON OF PRINCIPLE. I HAVE BOTH WITNESSES AND PHONE RECORDS, BANK ACCOUNT TRANSACTIONS THAT PROVE THEY MADE THE MISTAKE, AND THEY'RE TOO CRAPPY TO BE STAND UP AND MAKE IT RIGHT, TERRIBLE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. I'D GLADLY DISCUSS THIS OPENLY TO ANYONE THINKING OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM. PLEASE CONTACT ME, I AM NOT AFRAID OF THE TRUTH. MY NAME IS JOAN AND MY PHONE IS DOUBLE 7 zero- TWENTY THIRTY THREE.
