Unbelievably great food, service, staff, and overall experience

We took Bollywood Bistro Catering for our Mehndi, Wedding Ceremony lunch, and reception dinner. We could not have asked for a better experience. Here is the email we sent to Pankaj Sharma (owner).

With great pleasure and gratitude, we are writing to you. You and your staff, including Vimal, made our daughter's wedding a phenomenal success with the amazingly tasty food. All our guests mentioned this countless times. Please convey our sincere thanks to your chefs and the entire serving staff-everyone was friendly and courteous.

Many of our guests were of Maharashtrian origin and truly appreciated the Marathi dishes. Everyone especially loved the taro leaves patal bhaji, potato bhaji, varan, cucumber koshimbir, and shrikhand. The pav bhaji was also a huge hit. In fact, every dish was enjoyed, and we are very grateful for that.

Incredible Food 1000% recommend

We went with Bollywood Bistro for our wedding Reception and it was honestly the one of the best decisions we made. The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests raved about every single dish that was provided on Sunday. We were able to grab a plate with our dinner items at the reception, and we must say, the dishes were absolutely amazing, probably the best we've ever had. The food already tasted amazing during the tastings and somehow all the food tasted better during the wedding reception, which is incredibly rare since we were expecting a drop in quality because of the bulk, but the food made in bulk was incredible.

We also really appreciate the hospitality and kindness, Mr. Sharma, and the rest of the Bollywood Bistro team provided to our families during the food tastings. They were incredibly kind and Mr. Sharma dropped by many times to talk casually and made conversation, which made us feel incredibly welcomed.

Would 1000% recommend for any wedding.

Everyone loved the food

We had a complicated catering situation. We hired two caterers for our Indian-fusion wedding, and Bollywood Bistro provided the Indian food. We loved the matar paneer, apps, and desserts. Our guests were so happy with the food. Pankaj was very responsive to the groom's father, who was in charge of coordination with Bollywood. They also worked well with our main caterer, Zeffert & Gold. We highly recommend!

Great experience

We catered Bollywood Bistro for our wedding- cocktail hour and reception. Pankaj was very professional and has so much experience with weddings. He knew exactly how to operate in a venue which he had never done a wedding in. We even had a tasting prior to the wedding which most other catering vendors didn't allow. The food was delicious and we got many compliments by choosing Bollywood Bistro. We would definitely recommend them again for any event.

Bollywood Bistro is amazing -- highly recommend!

We had many, many guests comment on how awesome the food was at our wedding -- it was absolutely delicious. Bollywood Bistro catered both our Sangeet/Mehndi and the wedding, with the first night being Indo-Chinese food and the wedding was Indian food. Our only regret was not eating more appetizers! Simply put, it was extremely high-quality food at a reasonable price -- excellent value. Pankaj and the team at Bollywood Bistro are also extremely easy to work with, professional, and very responsive, which we greatly appreciated (as wedding planning is stressful, but this was a vendor we did not need to worry about). We had a fusion wedding, and the groom's side (who are not Indian) all loved the food as well. There was a really good mix of spicey and less-spicey options. Overall, we cannot recommend Bollywood Bistro enough!

Bollywood Bistro was fantastic!

Wedding Catering

Exceptional.

Pankaj and his team at Bollywood Bistro did everything possible to provide a unique experience for our wedding events, with both classic items, as well as modern twists. The process throughout was incredibly fun, as we visited his restaurant in Fairfax a few too many times :) to sample and create new items with him. We challenged him with a number of "off-menu" requests that he recreated with flying colors. Guests at our wedding raved about both the uniqueness and quality of the food, and Pankaj's team went out of the way to make sure that the bride and groom were fed (noting that this sometimes doesn't happen for couples on their wedding day given the hectic nature of what is going on).

The team is incredibly professional, manages expectations appropriately, is honest about what will and won't work, and extremely flexible to tailor catering for your event exactly the way you envision.

HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for event catering in the area (or just for a meal as well).

You certainly won't be disappointed, and we will certainly be back to eat more of the delicious food.

Amazing food and very professional

Bollywood Bistro did a lunch and dimmer for my sangeet night. The stations were set up so well and everyone complemented the food. Their INdian food is great but they did other cuisines as well which were delicious. I would most definitely recommend and use them again.

Engagement Ceremony

Pankaj, his son, and his team made our wedding incredible! My wife and I come from different parts of India and the team was so willing to cater to both styles of food in an authentic way. To this day (9 months later) our family and friends still talk about how incredible the food was. In addition to the seamless catering on the days of the wedding, Pankaj was incredibly responsive and willing to work with us as we led up to the wedding. We lucked out by finding this team because we found them somewhat last minute, but we would without hesitation recommend them for any of our friends' future weddings.

Pankaj and his team did an excellent job with my two wedding events!! He was so professional to work with and was so easy to communicate with. They provided a totally unique and customized menu for my first event which recieved SO MANY compliments. People were raving about the food. For the wedding, the cocktail hour and reception wedding food was also incredible. They even packed all the leftover food for us. The catering staff was very friendly and professional as well. I cannot say enough good things about their catering service and quality. I highly recommend Bollywood Bistro!!!

If you select Bollywood Bistro as your wedding or event caterer, you are selecting a phenomenal and top-notch team. Bollywood has hands-down the best staff, service, incredible food, and creative presentation. They are extremely responsive, pay close attention to detail and are notably professional in everything they do. My husband and I are DC area photographers, so you can imagine when we selected our caterer we had high expectations & visions for our wedding at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. Pankaj and his team went beyond our expectations on our wedding day in every way imaginable. It is hard to put into words what it was like to see our venue set up, decorated, filled with food, catering staff, bartenders, and then there was Pankaj himself. He knew we were excited about having dosa, and he brought us some before the festivities began. Oh my! The food! The food was just incredible. We had live stations, stationed and passed dishes. The guests were so impressed. My Indian family loved it, and our family & friends that don't have Indian food often or ever were so impressed at all the options and at how tasty it was! It was presented artistically, and uniquely, and we remember walking by thinking wow... It is beautiful! Leading up to the wedding, Pankaj met with us often to decide on the menu and logistics. I brought my family to his restaurant, and we visited his other restaurant location in Great Falls. Every time we were impressed at his professionalism, and of course the food was to die for. Our wedding guests were from different backgrounds it was important that the food was not too spicy. It was just perfect, savory, and delicious. Pankaj brought his team with him to two meetings with us at our venue. We were so impressed he came the 2nd time, as it was not necessary. Bollywood is committed to your event and dedicated to making everything perfect. We could say so much more. Bollywood Bistro gets our absolute highest recommendation.

It is a privilege to work with people like Kartik Sharma. Thorough professional, incredibly responsive and a great problem solver, in addition to the amazing Indian food. The food was definitely very good, but Kartik’s attention to detail in making sure he had what he needed to do a great job was phenomenal. He came to the venue twice, spent time talking with the chef’s and coordinators, brought a lot of the equipment not provided - he made sure he had everything to deliver high quality food - a man who clearly takes pride in his work. We had a minor snafu with not being able to bring a propane tank into the venue and Kartik solved for it by bringing an electric griddle (for dosas). The food was great - the appetizers were beautifully served, and our eclectic mixture of Colombian and Indian guests really enjoyed the food. We asked him to make the food (fully indian menu) mildly spiced and Kartik delivered.

If you need to cater Indian food - go to Bollywood Bistro. Highly highly recommended.

Everyone commented on how good the food was at our wedding! Two of our four appetizers were completely out because people kept piling them on. From beginning to end, Pankaj and his staff were very attentive and took care of everything including clean up! The presentation was excellent and he tried to cook a lot of things on site (some venues may not allow this). Prior to the event, Pankaj was highly responsive and accommodated any request we had. It's safe to say we will use him and Bollywood Bistro for any future catering needs!

Bollywood Bistro catered our wedding snack break, cocktail hour, and reception (contracted through Gala Cuisine at Foxchase Manor). Mr. Pankaj Sharma was a pleasure to work with - very responsive, helpful, and professional throughout the planning process. The food itself was FANTASTIC. Every single guest we talked to, both Indian and non-Indian, told us how delicious the food was and how they went back multiple times to get more, and many told us it was by far the best wedding food they'd ever had. It's a real testament to the care and passion that Mr. Sharma and his team put into the food they serve. In addition, Mr. Sharma made a point to find me (the bride) and bring me some snacks to ensure I ate something during the day.

I am not sure where to begin because Mr. Pankaj Sharma really made our wedding very special and one to remember. We received so many and I mean so many compliments about the food! In fact, I received personal messages asking where we had the catering one from because they wanted to cater from them for their events. He was so easy to work with! The food was absolutely delicous and what was even better was his service and the service from his staff. We have ordered Indian food from Bollywood Bistro for events at our community center in Boyds, MD. They have been extremely professional, helpful and are easy to reach and communicate with. The food has been delivered to our doorstep in time and is always delicious and of good quality. Our events usually consist of 200 people, of varying ethnicity which means they have differing tolerance to spice and varying preference in taste. Despite that, we have received only compliments for the food ordered from Bollywood Bistro. We are very happy that Bollywood Bistro caters outside of VA too and we hope to have a long relationship with them.

Bollywood Bistro catered our December 2014 wedding. Pankaj was incredibly professional, communicative, and helpful during the planning process. On the day of our wedding, the food was abundant and delicious and service was outstanding. Multiple wedding guests told us that Bollywood Bistro provided the best wedding dinner they had ever had. Bollywood Bistro catered our wedding and we could not be happier. Our guests still to this day talk about how great the food was at the wedding. Pankaj and his team were absolutely amazing to work with. From the tasting, to creating a custom menu from us (yes even items that are not on their regular restaurant menu). We were so happy with their service, we ended up using them for two other family catering events.

Pankaj, of Bollywood Bistro, and his team are the best team in the NOVA/DC area. My wife and I started working with Pankaj 4 months prior to the wedding and I think he may have been more excited than we were. Our wedding was in Charlottesville, VA and it was not the traditional Indian wedding/reception.

Pankaj worked so well with us! He was very excited in making our vision come true. In addition, when we had changes to make to the menu and / or needed suggestions he was flexible as well as knowledgeable about the different regional cuisines of India. We wanted a mix of south Indian food for Breakfast and lunch and fusion for dinner & cocktail hour.

Pankaj was very dedicated to our event, very flexible, and finally, just easy to work with! Our food was something that is still being talked about. Everyone LOVED the food, the menu, and the presentation of the food. People loved how amazing it tasted and how authentic it tasted. At least 100 people have told us that the food was the best they have ever had - and that's no easy feat with Indian people...He ensured that any fried food would not get stale and everything was freshly made! The dessert bar he helped arrange had such amazing variety of desserts and everything tasted very delicious!

Pankaj also helped us plan the event - he is so organized and well knowledgeable that he pretty much ran our vendor visits.

Overall, we were pretty speechless in how amazing he and his team were during the entire event. We are very thankful for Pankaj and his team! Our families and friends are so excited for another event of ours to have Pankaj cater!

We've already recommended him to our friends who are soon to be married.

We had a social gathering of 40 guests at our home for this Easter. We have used Bollywood Bistro for my son's Sangeeth for 200 guests and was proven to be a great choice. We again selected Bollywood Bistro for our Easter Lunch this past Sunday and once again we were thrilled at the continued level of food quality and fine attentive service by the owner, Mr. Punkaj himself. We LOVE Bollywood Bistro!! Our DJ/Friend recommended them and we went to BB for lunch just to scope it out prior to discussing catering and we were so impressed with the food! Everything was so flavorful! We decided to go ahead and book BB for our reception catering and were so impressed with them that we went on to have them cater our pre-wedding (sangeet) event as well! Pankaj Uncle was there at both events making sure everything was done perfectly and our guests would not stop raving about how amazing the food was.

If you're looking for high quality food and great service, look no further! And frankly I plan on dining at Bollywood Bistro whenever I possibly can- food is so delicious!! :)

Pankaj was absolutely amazing to work with! We decided to explore Indian food because the costs of so many other catering options were so high. We were able to get many more options at a much better price compared to other, more expensive catering options. He met with us several times, helped us craft a perfect menu, and came out to our venue ahead of time to make sure we were set. At the wedding we had several people approach us and say they thought they didn't like Indian food, but they loved the meal they had. I would highly recommend Bollywood Bistro.

We worked with Mr. Sharma at Bollywood Bistro to cater all of our wedding events. We knew we wanted to work with Mr. Sharma from the moment that we met him. Mr. Sharma is extremely down to earth and easy to work with and the end result is amazing food with great presentation! We looked at a few other Indian restaurants in the DC area to cater at our wedding and they were either arrogant or completely disinterested in us and our event. Mr. Sharma really took time to understand what our vision was for each event and what kind of food we wanted at each event. For our Sangeet, we wanted to do food stations with chaat, Indian street food, south Indian food and Indo-chinese fare. Mr. Sharma made sure we had a lot of different variety at each station and gave us exactly what we wanted. For our wedding and reception, we wanted a mix of South Indian and North Indian food and he did exactly just that with lots of variety. All of our guests had great things to say about the food. Above all, Mr. Sharma is just very pleasant to work with and when you plan a wedding you want to be able to work with a vendor who is understanding, pleasant and interested in providing a great service. Pankaj, Job well done, Even if you try do better than what you did, you cannot do, you did perfect job. Food was just fantastic. Added touch from Rupa Vira made it even better. Your services was second to none. Your presentation of food just blend in with the decor of Westfield Marriott (Dulles Airport) Everyone just praise the food. We could not have been happier with the quality of the food and the professional and careful manner in which the manager and staff of Bollywood Bistro handled our wedding event. Mr. Sharma met with us multiple times in order to about our event and the types of food we enjoyed. He was able to make recommendations on the types of food that our guests would like based on where our family came from. Mr. Sharma was at the wedding location all day as we had lunch, cocktail and dinner catered through Bollywood Bistro. All of our guests have complimented us on the quality, taste and manner in which the food was presented. I highly recommend Bollywood Bistro for a nice lunch, dinner or catered event.

We hired Bollywood Bistro for our Indian Wedding. Hired them for the whole weekend of activities, Sangeet, Rehearsal, Wedding, Reception, etc. They were amazing. All the guests raved about the quality of the very high quality of their food. I forget the guy's name (think it started with a P), but he was very easy to work with and highly professional. He was friends with the Chef at the hotel we used (Westin Dulles) so they gave him kitchen priviliges which was a huge plus. They also came out and did an event we had at a vineyard for 100 people and pulled it off flawlessly. At our vineyard event we didn't do Indian food, but did some pasta and Mediterranean stuff which was quite good as well. But, the Indian food really was top-notch. We're friends with a lot of foodies and they were all very satisfied, its not typical bland buffet food. The Americans and Indians were all very pleased. They even took the care to make sure to set aside plates for me and my wife at all our events to make sure that we got something to eat. would VERY HIGHLY recommend. You won't regret.

My husband's sister used Bollywood Bistro for her wedding and without a doubt, I had to have them cater our wedding. Pankaj is extremely professional, very flexible, and willing to go out of your way if you need something. Honestly, if you are doing a search, please stop and chose Bollywood Bistro. The food will be amazing from the vegetarian to the non-vegetarian selections. I highly recommend catering the mango lassi for your ceremony; it will not disappoint! The guests are still talking about how good the food was at our wedding!

My daughter got married in May at the Ritz Carlton in DC. We met with many caterers and felt very disheartened until we met Pankaj Sharma of Bollywood Bistro. His professionalism and attention to detail assured us that we had made the perfect choice. The food at the reception and the dinner was plenty and absolutely delicious and the presentation was fabulous. Pankaj was present at the event, personally attending to all the details, so there was nothing more we could ask for. I did not need to go and ask about a single thing, everything was taken care of meticulously. Needless to say, everyone enjoyed the food thoroughly and it was a grand success.
When we were trying to decide on the menu, Pankaj presented us with numerous options and encouraged us to come to his restaurant multiple times to try out many variations of Indian dishes before making the final selections. We were very pleased that we had so many wonderful options to pick from. The appetizers, main dishes, and desserts were all exceptionally good. I'm so grateful for all the thought and effort Pankaj put into our event and for working with all of us to get all the details just right!

Fabulous service and fantastic food ! Pankaj and his team do an amazing job - starting with assistance in selecting the dishes for the event and offering tasting prior to finalizing the menu. They also accommodate special requirements. On the day of the event, they will arrive on time and will serve the food hot and will take special care in presentation and in replenishing food. We met with a lot of caterers before deciding on Bollywood Bistro for our memorial day weekend wedding at the Washington DC Ritz. Pankaj was professional and really understood what we were looking for in terms of both taste and presentation. He was extremely patient and accommodating, willing to work with us in between our hectic schedules to create the exact right menu of dishes made the exact right way. We wanted appetizers with a fusion twist and modern presentation, and a blend of entrees that maintained traditional flavors from all over India. He was able to accommodate this mix easily to come up with a unique, elegant, and well rounded menu.

On the day of the wedding the presentation, timing and quantity were amazing! Pankaj worked with the hotel staff to make sure things went perfectly. So many people (even the pickiest of Aunties) have told us that they loved the food, and our friends commented on the presentation. We can not thank Pankaj enough for making our wedding menu a total success!

Wow!! What amazing food! Everyone who attended my wedding could not stop raving about the quality of the food and how unique it was! I know most bride/groom say they didn't eat the day of their wedding but we did!! And it was beyond any wedding food we had ever had. The best was ours was a mixed Indian/Italian wedding so punkaj made out menu as such and it was beyond our expectations. The trial was not rushed or stressful because the chef and punkaj made sure we tried absolutely everything and is we didn't like it or liked everything as our problem was, they helped us make the perfect selections for our wedding. The food was the same quality the day of the wedding and the layout was perfect! I believe food can make or break a wedding and Bollywood bistro nailed it in every way!

It was a pleasure meeting Mr Pankaj Sharma and working with him for my daughter's Wedding at Marriott Key Bridge, Arlington, VA. The quality of food and service was outstanding. All of our guests loved the food we catered from Bollywood Bistro. Pankaj is 'Customer Centric' and makes sure the event/s will go as planned. He was present at both events (sangeet/mehndi and functions prior to the wedding ceremony) to make sure there are no issues.

We had engaged Bollywood Bistro to provide catering services for our wedding for about 300 guests.
The food for excellent, tasty and the menu seletions creative. Mr. Pankaj is extremely proactive and made sure that all our guests were so well looked after that we felt he was part of the family. Today. even after a month since the wedding we are getting complements about the food. I would unhesitantly recommend the Bollywood Bistro team to anyone organizing a wedding or other major event.

Incredible food, fantastic presentation, and great service!! This is indian food with a twist. While very traditional the owner is very passionate about food and has very unique ideas to add a little twist to a typical indian menu. Bollywood Bistro is responsive, hands on, fairly priced, and above all absolutely delicious. We as well as our guests had a magnificent time. We have received several calls about who our caterer was and the food we had served. I would recommend Bollywood Bistro as my caterer of choice to anyone who asks! Great job! Our wedding would not have been the same without you!

I would highly recommend Bollywood Bistro!! Pankaj and his team did an amazing job with the food for our wedding and reception. The wedding venue we chose required that we use their Indian in-house chef for our wedding and reception food. We were extremely disappointed with our hotel's food and realized that we had to find a caterer as soon as possible. We called Pankaj at Bollywood Bistro to set up a food tasting; Bollywood Bistro was the first restaurant that we tried and we loved it so much that we didn't even visit with any other caterer. Pankaj was extremely attentive, professional, and friendly from Day 1 and made sure to answer any questions or concerns that we had. We even wanted a traditional Gujarati meal after our wedding ceremony and Pankaj even has a team member who is an expert at Gujarati food. We had the opportunity to try some Gujrati food during our tasting and knew that Bollywood Bistro would the a perfect caterer for our wedding and we were not wrong.

On the day of our wedding, Pankaj was running around the entire time making sure everything was beyond PERFECT for our guests. Our guests LOVED the food and service and we had family and friends calling us for weeks raving about the food and asking who we used. We still have family and friends that are talking about how amazing the food was!

Bollywood Bistro has a great & diverse appetizer, entree, and dessert selection. Despite only having vegetarian food, we were still able to provide our guests with a vast variety of food! Both our Indian and non-Indian guests enjoyed the food.

I would highly recommend Bollywood Bistro and Pankaj for your wedding. I am definitely going to use Bollywood Bistro for any events that I have in the future. The food and service was out of this world.

Bollywood Bistro did an amazing job with the food for our wedding reception. I would HIGHLY recommend them! Upon our first meeting with Pankaj, we loved his focus on high quality delicious food and great presentation. I feel like it is rare to find someone in the Indian food business who values both of these. We were nervous about the food at our reception because we had selected a venue that didn’t have a real kitchen (Andrew Mellon Auditorium) and didn’t allow a tandoor oven on the premises. Pankaj put us at ease as he explained that he has ways around it, and not to worry because he would make sure that the food was delicious and hot, the naan and bread would be soft, and the food would taste just as it should. On the day of our wedding everything turned out perfectly. Both our Indian and non-Indian guests absolutely LOVED the food (as did my husband and I and our families). It really was delicious. The presentation of our appetizers and dinner was beautiful. Pankaj was around all night making sure that everything went smoothly and checking in with us periodically to see if everything was fine.

Our parents came to the tasting and loved the food as much as we did. Pankaj has a large food selection, and we were able to select some fusion appetizers like the asparagus spring rolls and aam palak chat, a few more traditional entrees and some different ones like the Goat Curry and Bengali Fish Curry that were huge hits. In terms of pricing we thought Pankaj was very reasonable, especially for the quality of food and service that he provided. The whole process from tastings, to selecting our food and signing the contract were very easy.

We liked Bollywood Bistro so much that my husband’s family even had Pankaj cater a dinner at their house a few days before the wedding and the food there was delicious there too.

Overall, I would pick Bollywood Bistro again for any event we need catered in a heartbeat.

Ask for Pankaj!!!!! He will take care of you from beginning to end! First, during our tasting he was hands down better than everyone else. He was so good we didn't even go to our last tasting. He was fair in his pricing and didn't try to sell us on stuff that we didn't need. He did our mehndi and reception. For the mehndi we didn't Indian street food stations. Truth be told we sent him a diagram of what we wanted the facility to look like when we go there and the room looked nothing like it but it looked 100 times better than what we had originally designed. He worked directly with our decorator and venue to figure out what would work best. For our cocktail hour we were running late and could make it down in time, Pankaj hand delivered a plate of food for us to our room!!! Everyone loved the food and he was possibly the easiest vendor to work with!!!!

Bollywood Bistro catered our June 2018 wedding in Orange, VA. They were SPECTACULAR. Pankaj and his team were incredibly flexible - accomodating our every request and even accomodating some month-before changes/requests. The wedding was outdoor, and Pankaj and his team had to be prepared to deliver come rain or shine. It's not an understatement to say that the highlight of our wedding, for our guests, was the food. From the snacks provided during the ceremony, to the DELICIOUS appetizers at cocktail hour, to the scrumptious dinner buffet - everyone loved every single piece of it. We also had Pankaj's team procure the non-alcoholic beverages for our event. The day turned out to be hotter than expected and his team was on top of everything - even driving into town to make sure they had enough water for the guests. Seriously cannot reccommend this caterer enough. Lastly, our wedding guests were a mix of Indians and non-Indians and the food was loved by one and all. Thanks for a fantastic experience, Pankaj & team!

Pankaj Uncle and the whole entire Bollywood Bistro team were INCREDIBLE at my wedding this past weekend! He is the preferred caterer for Castle Hill Cider and I can definitely see why. He has worked with my family for over a year with multiple tastings, meetings, venue visits, emails and phone calls. The service is amazing. They provided us with beautiful linens, china, barware, equipment, THE WORKS! The food at our wedding was OUTSTANDING. I'm pretty sure all of the food at the cocktail hour and reception was completely finished. The live stations at the sangeet were such a hit. They say that you usually don't get a chance to eat at your wedding, but I made it a point to eat the delicious food at every one of my events! I am getting so many rave review for the food. I am recommending Bollywood Bistro to all my friends and I plan to stay a patron of theirs for a very very long time.

We tasted Bollywood Bistro for the first time at a wedding expo and immediately went to the restaurant for lunch to sample some more items. We ended up liking what we tried so we came back for an official tasting and Pankaj was so accommodating. He asked to select some items (i think we picked 7) and he had them all ready for us to taste. We liked the food so much we also booked him to cater our lunch event following the ceremony as well as the reception dinner. Pankaj did a great job with the food and offering suggestions for items.

We had some live stations at the cocktail hour, specifically the Gobi Manchurian, which is probably the best thing we've ever eaten. All of our guests agreed and were walking through the cocktail area with heaping platefuls of it! Also recommend the Paneer Shaslik - perfect setup on a grill cooked hot. The display was beautiful as well. Dinner was delicious, with lots of flavor and color and just the right amount of heat. Pankaj was very helpful in selecting the menu as well, offering suggestions and ensuring we had the right color display with the items we selected. He also provided two types of salad which were very popular with the guests!

Pankaj provides end-to-end catering. we used him for linens, service staff, bartenders, china, etc. His bartenders were competent, courteous, and poured drinks liberally which I know our guests appreciated.

The food was really awesome. we know that when people go to indian weddings they only talk about two things afterwards: 1) who is next to get married and 2) what was the food like? we are glad to say that nobody left our wedding wishing they hadn't come hungry. Bollywood Bistro is simply great and you can't go wrong with Pankaj!

Bollywood Bistro, and Mr Sharma in particular, were excellent to work with. From the get go, they were reasonable with their prices, flexible to our menu, and in our initial tasting, created some dishes which we enjoyed. Through the planning process, they were very professional - working with us on menu, working directly with the hotel, and keeping us appraised along the way. Also, unlike some vendors, they were very open and honest on cost, and did not try to tack additional charges on at any point. I felt they were quite honest throughout and on the day of, they delivered an excellent product to us.

I gave them 4.5 on service, as one of the dishes were a bit slow to be refilled (although not sure if that was their staff or the hotel).

Overall, I highly recommend them, and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Superb Food excellent service

e had engaged Bollywood Bistro for catering for the ceremony in the morning and evening Reception during a recent wedding event in family. We never had thought that their services will be so excellent, every menu they served during the entire function starting from Welcome Drinks, to pure vegetarian lunch menu, to both veg and non-veg appetizer, dinner and deserts - just everything were superb. It suited every palate. We had guests from out of country and belonging to different ethnicity, and the food served met every body's taste bud. The spice level and freshness of the ingredients were perfect. Food delivery timing, quantity and serving by the catering team were very well organized, managed and meticulous. And on top of it, very reasonable pricing.

Kudos to Master Chef Sunil and Pankaj, their culinary and catering skill and their whole staff who coordinated our our event very well. We highly recommend you to try them.

Bollywood Bistro catered our September 2017 Indian fusion wedding. We went with Pankaj and his team because they came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic! We received SO many compliments on the food from both our Indian and non-Indian guests. Several of our Indian guests told us how they’ve been to many Indian weddings and the food at our wedding was by far the best. Pankaj and his staff also worked with the hotel to set aside food for us during the cocktail hour and serve us dinner at the reception so we actually got to eat at our wedding and taste all the fantastic food ourselves! Before the wedding, it was sometimes a little stressful working with Pankaj because he was so busy. We had a long wait to be seated at the tasting with our parents, but when we were seated, the pre-ordered menu items came out promptly. Email responses were prompt but short so sometimes I needed to call. He was late for the hotel walk-through, but apologized and immediately came as soon as he could. At the end of the day, we have no regrets because Pankaj and his team delivered top-notch service and food on the wedding day. We would highly recommend Bollywood Bistro for catering.

Bollywood Bistro catered my daughter's Sangeet Dinner and also wedding reception dinner.
Food was phenomenal and Mr Pankaj Sharma owner personally supervised both the event catering. I strongly recommend Bollywood Bistro as reliable and at reasonable rate provides best quality food.

The food was great. Everyone at our wedding was talking about how much they loved the food from here. Indian food is always difficult to make perfect in very large quantities but I enjoyed it. I liked it because, as an American, I don't like food that is TOO spicy. The restaurant made sure to give us a mild version of our favorites so that all guests could enjoy it. If you choose them as your caterer you CAN tell them to make it more spicy if you wish. My mother-in-law talked with the owner to make changes and he was VERY accommodating. They really work hard to please their customers and do great with large events.

Bollywood Bistro was the caterer for my brother's wedding. The food was fabulous!! Pankaj was there to make sure everything was set up perfectly and it was. The food was amazing and I am still getting compliments on how yummy everything was. Everything tasted amazing, as if we were actually at the restaurant, which is hard to find with caterers most days, but not BB. I will certainly use Pankaj and Bollywood Bistro in the future for my events.

We had an excellent overall experience with Bollywood Bistro. Mr. Pankaj Sharma was very receptive to tailoring the menu to our specifications. During the tasting, we had requests on the way certain things were made (i.e. spice level, salt level) and most of those were honored. The food is delicious and all of our guests enjoyed the dishes on our garba night, wedding ceremony, and reception. We had a variety of Indian/Indo-Chinese street food at the garba, traditional Gujarati lunch, and typical North Indian food at the reception. The spice level and flavor were good. Mr. Sharma came in to check on all events and confirmed that everything was to our expectations. The only reason we took off half a star is that we did receive a few complaints from guests that the food was not replenished as efficiently at times and certain things weren’t quite as fresh later in the evening. Overall, we would definitely recommend Bollywood Bistro.

My husband was very particular about getting authentic Indian food and insisted on trying half a dozen restaurants/caterers to find amazing food. We had selected Bollywood Bistro to provide food at our mendhi party that took place across the street from the restaurant at Old Town Hall because the chef was able to make Gujarati food that my mother approved of. For our wedding, we tried to work with another restaurant that did infrequent catering, but had amazing South Indian food. After trying desperately to get them to respond and work with our venue, it became apparent that it was more work than it was worth. We asked Pankaj at Bollywood Bistro if his team could provide the same items, most of which were not on their menu, and the chef did a great job working with my husband to get the spices and flavors just so. The contract process was such a breeze. In between the contract signing and the month leading up to the event, we had to be a little persistent to get responses, but the month prior to our wedding, Pankaj was incredibly responsive and made sure all the details were exactly what we requested. Our guests loved all the food, especially the khaman dhokla from our mendhi party. One lesson learned late in the game - most caterers only assume 2 appetizers per guest for the cocktail hour, which seemed insufficient, especially since our cocktail hour was 1.5 hours. Fortunately, we had some credits with the hotel, so they provided some additional appetizers.
One particular note - my mother requested a dozen or so vegan naan to accommodate a few of our guests. Bollywood Bistro's banquet captain identified a family member during the mendhi party to make sure all the vegan guests received their naan and then made it a point to find the same family member during our wedding reception to do the same thing. I was not involved with that during the event and only heard about it after the fact, but I thought that spoke well of the kind of service that you could expect from Pankaj's team.

Aug'25 Friday Sangeet Catering - Great variety!

We used Bollywood Bistro for catering our Friday (Sangeet) event, and overall it was a great experience! Since BB was a preferred vendor at our venue, Poplar Springs Manor, we were able to get a great rate for the wide variety of food and stations we selected.

Communication was a bit tricky at times since everything had to go through our venue rather than directly with the restaurant, but Pankaj was always willing to hop on a call, which really helped. The menu is quite extensive (and a little overwhelming at first!), so I’d definitely recommend doing a tasting to narrow down your favorites.

We had four live stations at our event featuring fusion cuisines — Indo-Mexican, Indo-Chinese, Indian, and Italian — and our guests absolutely loved the flavors and variety! Some crowd favorites were the paneer quesadillas, pani puri, veg momos, and gobhi manchurian.

Since Bollywood Bistro had worked with our venue before, setup and operations went very smoothly. Our planner (huge shoutout to Events by C!) handled the day-of logistics flawlessly, which made everything even easier for our families.

Great food

Pankaj does a wonderful job ensuring the food is high quality and meals run smoothly. We didn’t run out of food and people raved about so much of it. An old menu was used for dinner which was an issue so be clear and alleviate back and forth changes. Price added was for Friday appetizers/dinner for 150, Saturday lunch for 175 and appetizers/dinner for 200. He provided glassware for the bar, plates for buffets and table linens, trash fee, servers/chef, and gratuity. Our decorator set up the reception tables with water and champagne glasses along with silverware.

Our first food tasting was with Bollywood Bistro, then we tried another 7 restaurants. Save your calories! Bollywood Bistro is one of the best in the area. Not to mention their prices are unbeatable. Pankaj Sharma, owner, is very willing to work with clients to make a dream menu a reality. His staff are also very professional and punctual, and made sure that not only the food was delivered on time and according to temperature, but also paid attention to its presentation. The head chef is also very talented. We had an Indo-Chinese menu for our Garba, which all of our guests raved about. For the wedding and reception, the food was also a hit. Pankaj is easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the catering business. Food was one thing we did not have to worry about during our events.

Vendor catered both Indian and American food for me and it was all very good. We received a lot of compliments about the food. The lay out of the venue was challenging but they are very experienced and made it work.

Poor response and professionalism

Sharad with Bollywood bistro was very responsive initially and gave us pricing. We were about to meet and finalize the details for the wedding menu. Then he ghosted us and stopped responding. One day he calls us and said he will not be able to do our wedding. We were talking to him for weeks to months and so, in the mean time all other good caterers were booked up. We were left hanging and still to this date do not have a caterer for our upcoming wedding.
