Fantastic DJ Group!

Brendan and his team were DJ's for our wedding and we could not have been happier. they were very organized from the beginning and thought of so many things that I would have never thought of.
At the event, they were energetic and professional. They kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night with amazing music choices. Would recommend them for anyone's future events!

Kept the party going

Brendan and his DJ did a fantastic job at our wedding. We received a lot of compliments on the music selection and even keeping the volume level appropriate so people were still able to talk if they were not dancing. Brendan was very collaborative and helped us with some recommendations. He kept the flow of the party going and was able to tweak plans in the moment. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a DJ/MC for the event.

Best piano and wedding DJ Team!

We highly recommend Brendan and his team! The music was absolutely perfect. We had so many compliments on the "flow" and people specifically came up and said how wonderful Richie and Jeff were for the dancing portion and that it was the best hora they had ever done! BOK-Music made us look so good, from the beautiful piano playing to the multi-colored lights! They made everything so easy and seamless and were truly a joy to work with.

Everything was awesome! Highly recommended! So easy to work with.

Don and Greg did an amazing job playing classical flute and guitar for the ceremony and sax and guitar for the cocktail hour Jazz. The DJ/MC team Jeff and Richie tastefully kept the flow going during the dinner reception with endless dancing.

Planning the music with Brendan was a breeze: We shared our Spotify playlists and the BOK Doc planner spreadsheet instead of relying on countless emails.

If you want everything to go right at your wedding, start by hiring these guys!

Excellent experience from start to finish

I am so happy we went with Brendan for our wedding. From our first conversation through the wedding reception, he was professional, responsive, organized and thoughtful. For the reception, we originally wanted a mix of old school and modern music, but when we saw that the older school music was a much bigger hit with the crowd, he immediately played to that and got everyone on the dance floor. We had a trio play the ceremony and cocktail party, and it was so lovely. Everything was perfect.

Above and Beyond

BOK was great to work with in that they are detail oriented. I had put together an extensive playlist, but BOK was able to read the room and know when to play what (this is also due to their amazing organizational doc, where they ask what songs should be played during moments throughout the night). As a bride, this organizational tool was amazing because I never would have even thought to pick a specific song for some moments and on our actual wedding day it made a huge difference. I also LOVE that BOK lets you have live musicians for the ceremony and/or cocktail hour and a DJ for the reception. Having everything in one vendor was great and they coordinated really well. BOK provided everything from microphones for the ceremony and speeches to lights for the dance floor. While all of this was incredible, it really was the knowledge of when to play which songs, reading the room, and taking suggestions that made our DJ stand out. Guests are STILL raving to us, five months later about how much fun our wedding was. BOK had everyone on the dance floor all night long. I highly recommend BOK to any bride that wants people to get up and move.

November 2018 Wedding

We used Bok-Music as our music/DJ and Brendan and his team did a great job from the pre-planning to the event. They used a great blend of music (ethnic/American music) and knowing the perfect timing (helped me coordinate thank you with music). Brendan uses a form of interactive document that makes the planning very easy and customizable with a step by step detailed process. The flawless interweaving of different types of music was done perfectly and made for a continuously packed dance floor.

Our entire experience dealing with BOK entertainment was pretty seamless, right from the start - including the shared Google doc to keep all the details in line. We had a very non-traditional wedding, with some specific music requests and Brendan and his team were SPOT on! Even playing a song at the exact moment so I could dance with my daughter - which was unplanned, but turned into a beautiful family memory! We wanted dancing - Brendan wanted dancing - we got dancing!! Everyone commented on the choice of music and what a beautiful event it was - I would work with them again for sure!

Brendan is fantastic in every way! He provided us with a PA system for the reception, live music for the cocktail hour, MC, and DJ. Brendan is incredibly professional and will go the extra mile to work with you to make your day special. He has a great system (the BOK Doc) to make sure that all your sound and music needs are met and is always willing to get on the phone and talk things through. He knew our venue well and was honest about what was needed in terms of setup and personnel. I also asked him to accompany me on piano in a performance for my new bride; Brendan not only said yes, but practiced with me over the phone before the big day! We can't have asked for a better music vendor and would recommend him to any couple.

Bok Music did a marvelous job as the DJ at my birthday party! The dance floor was full for the entire evening. The choice of music was perfectly geared to my guests. The mood was infectious. One of the best choices we made for our wedding day! Brendan is a seasoned expert who went over and beyond to make our wedding so wonderful. From the moment we started working with Brendan, he responded to our emails within minutes and made the process of setting everything up so so easy with his famous "BOK doc." This Google doc allowed us to efficiently enter all of our information to make sure the music at our wedding exactly what we were looking for. Brendan also played keyboard during our ceremony and cocktail hour, which was so lovely.

Aside from the great music and ability to get people on the dance floor, Brendan did everything in his power to make the party a fantastic one. From handing out flip flops and favors, to bringing around the guest book, he was an invaluable asset to our wedding team.

To top it off, there was a car accident that knocked out power to the entire town, including our wedding venue. However, Brendan was so prepared that he used a battery powered speaker and blue tooth to keep the party going. We literally didn't miss a beat because of his preparedness.

Do not hesitate to hire Brendan and his team right away!

Brendan and his team were definitely a part of making my wedding this weekend an actual dream come true. Brendan throughout the planning process was patient with my numerous questions and concerns, even when I went back and forth about timing etc he was always helpful and informative. His BOK doc made it easy for me to select all of the songs I wanted and specify the times I wanted them played. His DJ and MC team came on time and it was exactly like I pictured it. They were subtle and understated and guided us through the evening without it feeling like a sweet 16. They were so nice and friendly when I asked a question and helped switch a song for me. And of course the best part, the dancing! Nobody left the dance floor the entire night. I can't say enough good things. Thanks again BOK music!!

Brendan's team (DJ Jeffrey and MC Richie!) did an overall incredible job.

The preparation process was super organized and straightforward. Brendan was extremely responsive to any and all questions (although you might not have many given how well-assembled and clear his process was). Beyond upfront preparation, I truly can't express my thanks to Brendan and co. for how they handled things on the day of the wedding. He worked extremely closely with the venue planner to ensure everything went perfectly. The sound was great, the playlist was excellent and the DJs had everyone dancing the entire night. Every single facet of our experience greatly exceeded our expectations - thanks Brendan and co., it was awesome!

I'm so glad we hired Brendan for our wedding -- he provided music for the ceremony (organ), cocktail hour (piano) and reception (DJ), and it all went beautifully. Brendan and his assistant were wonderful. He DJ'd my sister's wedding five years earlier, so when we decided to have a DJ, booking Brendan was a no-brainer. Our venue had a unique lay-out and speaker set-up; often, couples just plug in an iPod, but dancing all night was very, very important to us. Brendan figured it all out, working with the events manager to get set-up in advance/in a hallway/etc. He was patient and responsive in all of our pre-wedding communications, even though my husband and I were a bit all over the place at first. His BOK-doc kept us organized and the entire evening moved per the schedule we laid out. Our guests danced all night long, which is just what we wanted. And Brendan was so genuine and warm that some guests assumed he was a member of our family. Thank you, Brendan!

Brendan was wonderful in every way. We loved working with him from day one. He did all the music for our wedding on 10/1/16 at Wainwright House. He dod live music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner and DJ'd for dancing. It was perfect. We had some unusual music choices and he helped us get exactly what we wanted. He also handled a delay caused by our transportation company like a pro and took a couple of great photos of my husband and I at the end of the night when we were the last ones left! Brendan is great and we highly recommend him.

I hired BOK Music for my October brunch wedding. My venue was unique in its layout as well as time of day, which made me a little nervous about how people were going to dance. However, Brendan did a wonderful job getting people on the dance floor! Brendan also plays piano, which was perfect along with the saxophonist at our cocktail hour. Brendan listened to all my requests for the wedding day, which made it a perfect day! If you want a professional and talented DJ, hire BOK Music!

One of the BEST choices we made for our August 20, 2016 wedding. My husband and I LOVE to dance and having a stellar DJ was a priority for us. When we started the search last year we were admittedly nervous - let's face it, DJ websites aren't always the best and unlike other vendors, you can't always 'see' their work. We went with BOK on a recommendation and feel SO LUCKY they could be part of our reception.

Not only is BOK so great to work with - organized, receptive, easy to get in touch with, helped with some other mic and A/V needs - we loved the BOK Doc! - but they are awesome DJs. And the opposite of cheesy. Great value, too! A testament: our guests were on the dance floor the ENTIRE night.

We had an idea of the type of music we wanted - classics that would appeal to all ages, dance floor FAVORITES with a few very specific recs - and BOK perfectly filled in the rest. During the night and the weeks following the wedding, our guests have raved about the DJ and even asked if we could share the playlist!

I would highly recommend working with BOK Music for any event. We worked with Brendan and team for our wedding at the Wainwright House. They provided piano and flute music during our ceremony, jazz music during the cocktail hour and DJ services during the dinner and reception. It was so nice to find all of our music needs in one place and I really enjoyed working with BOK during the planning process. BOK Music created a highly effective google doc that made it so easy to plan everything and had great suggestions for what to play before, during, and after the ceremony in case you are a bit clueless like I was! I requested some unusual songs for the reception and Brendan was very flexible on finding them for the big day. The music flowed so smoothly throughout the night and the BOK Music team really knew what to play at the right moment. We had a very lively dance floor going the entire night thanks to their hard work. We received so many compliments on the music after our wedding, it really made the night!

We could not have been happier with BOK! We initially chose them because we were able to book both live musicians and DJs through the one company, and because they got such great reviews. We were not disappointed. Brendan took the time to speak with my husband personally about his music preferences in order to recommend the right number of musicians and type of instruments for our ceremony, and to determine what type of music should be played at the cocktail hour. He was patient and diligent in listening to our requests and making them a reality. I particularly loved the BOK-DOC, where we kept all of our requests in one place. We had some very specific directions (eg. stop the first dance after the big dip), and everything went perfectly. I highly recommend BOK!

Brendan was great to work with, very responsive and extremely helpful in planning both services and music. We didn't realize how tough planning music can really be but he made it easier with suggestions, and also took the time to speak personally with my husband regarding the music. This was greatly appreciated as the music was a very big importance to my husband . He took also the time to personally work with my husband and myself on finding the right services and fitting them to our budget, which meant a lot to us. He provided music services for the ceremony, DJ services for the reception and also played the piano during our cocktail hour. All were wonderful, and we got many compliments on how great the music was, as well as what a great touch the live music at cocktail hour was. He was also very flexible and accommodating when one of our guests wanted to sing live, not something that was not planned for previously, but was spur of the moment. Overall, I would definitely recommend Brendan and BOK music's services to anyone looking for a great, friendly, professional, personable and top notch DJ service and would urge you not to overlook his piano talents as well. Brendan and his team were fantastic! Brendan was incredibly organized, professional and responsive. Most importantly, he led the reception with subtlety, elegance and grace, being the opposite of the corny DJ stereotype in every way. Brendan worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinator and the other vendors. The Bok Doc, the document he uses to keep everyone on the same page, was incredibly helpful, as were all the suggestions and advice in it. He even played the piano at our cocktail hour to make things more special and intimate.

We loved the music Brendan played (he really understood our style and played all the songs we requested), he tastefully tracked us down for important dances and moments, and read the crowd perfectly. We were dancing all night! We’re so happy we chose him for our wedding!

We used Bok Music for our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and reception. Talk about a one stop shop! They were professional and affordable, and Brendan's "Bok Doc" was easy to use. Brendan and his crew can pretty much play anything--I sent him a bunch of musical theatre sheet music, and he made it all happen with a piano, flute and violin. The playlist they created for the reception was great--lots of things we wanted to hear topped with some good stuff picked by the DJ. Brendan MC'ed. He's got a great speaking voice and a good eye for what order things should go in.

Overally, really lovely. A great way to get all your wedding music needs from ONE vendor.

We can not say enough positive thinks about BOK. My husband is a huge music fan...kind of snob... And BOK made him comfortable and happy, along with everyone else at the wedding! I loved seeing that everyone (young and old) out on the dance floor, while my husband still had so many of his favorites included as well. The BOK Doc makes the planning process so easy as well, and even helped my husband and I think about some things that we couldn't remember to plan for on our own. BOK was AMAZING!

My husband and I used Brendan's services for live ceremony music, to DJ during our reception, and to set up up-lighting at our venue. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of his service for each piece. We did not want to hire a band to play at our wedding, however, it was such a nice touch to be able to have some live instruments playing during our ceremony and our cocktail hour (we had a keyboard and flute during the ceremony and saxophone during the cocktail hour). We got SO many comments on how lovely our ceremony was. We got rained out halfway during our cocktail hour, so the reception started a bit earlier than expected, but Brendan and his assistant did not miss a beat. They started playing music immediately and our guests were dancing non stop from 7:30PM straight until midnight when the ceremony ended. We got so much feedback from our guests on how they had never danced so much at a wedding before dinner was even served, and how the momentum went non stop until the end. We were even told by many people that it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to! That could not have happened without Brendan. I also want to note that it was very easy working with him in the planning stages, he has a great Google document that he shares with you which makes it very easy and very clear to plan out all of the different types of music and announcements you want to make at your wedding. Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed!

Both of us are big music nerds, so we had a very specific vision, and BOK Music absolutely nailed it. Brendan was great to work with throughout the whole process and it was easy to communicate with him using the "BOK doc". We found him to be highly organized and because of that he helped guide us through all the tough decisions, some of which we didn't even think of. Boy are we glad he did! Because of BOK Music every moment of our wedding had just the right music to accompany it. Perfect. All you could ask for in a DJ. We had pretty exacting requirements which they nailed to a T, and when they did go off list with songs -which we opted for at their discretion, they were wonderful selections. Very professional, with no Hamming, no Cheese. They were a great help in sequencing the events for the evening and had our wedding party moving all night. So good, they carried it for an additional 2 hours at a very reasonable rate. People have been claiming it was the best wedding they've been to, and thats on large part due to BOK Music.

BOK Music DJ Brendan O'Keefe and his assistant were perfect for our wedding on August 17, 2014!

They handled the full slate of music we had planned for our ceremony without problems as well as a complicated projection of DVD film clips (from old movies) during our vows. During the cocktails outside, Brendan improvised jazz quite nicely on a keyboard and played some songs from the American song book which our crowd thoroughly enjoyed. For the reception, Brendan projected another DVD film clip then slotted in as much of our pre-selected dinner and dance music as he could at the right time along with some music he had added in based on his sense of the crowd and a request or two. Throughout the reception Brendan was low-key and did not make the reception about the DJ which we have seen some DJ’s do.

If we had gone with a band, then we would still have had to hire an A/V team as well to handle the film clips and perhaps other parts of the wedding. Also, we could not have gotten a band to play the wide range of music we had--baroque opera, Afropop, Jewish hora, Portuguese fado, 30’s musicals and 60’s-70’s-80’s pop including disco.

As we found, Brendan had many good ideas for making the most of the music, was very versatile, had reasonable fees, didn’t blast the music so loudly that guests couldn’t hear each other talk, thought on his feet, and kept track during the reception how much time was left to play certain music and advised us when to move on to the next set or toast. Helping him to master all these details is the “Bok Doc”, a spreadsheet in Google DOCS filled in by the customer as well as Google Drive for uploads (when using BOK it is best to make use of the Bok Doc and Google drive).

All in all Bok Music is a very professional DJ company and you can’t go wrong using them. They’ll get you through this. Five stars!

Brendan at BOK Music was such a pleasure to work with! He made the process of choosing music for our wedding super easy and organized for this Type A gal! I loved his excel planner as it clearly laid out all the different parts of the cocktail hour (Brendan played the piano for us) and wedding reception so we knew the order ahead of time. We communicated via email throughout the planning process (easiest for me as I work full time) and Brendan was always very responsive which was very important to me! He's also very flexible. A few weeks before the wedding I sent him a request for a special dance for my husband-to-be and the women in his family, complete with my own music file, and he made it happen! From the moment I first spoke with Brendan O'Keefe I felt that he was the one to hire for my daughter's wedding. After looking on his website and reviewing his work I was convinced. It was a pleasure speaking with him and his professionalism and friendly manner was a welcomed combination. My daughter communicated directly with Brendan regarding the wedding program and music and she was so happy with his thoroughness and follow up. He made it easy for her to select the music she wanted and she also felt confident that he would fill in any blanks with regard to the kind of music that would be welcomed by our guests. Brendan played the piano at our cocktail party and his music choices were fantastic. The reception was no different and was a tremendous success. In choosing a DJ for our wedding, my husband and I were looking for someone who could MC the event and play great music without being that horrific, cheesy wedding DJ you see so often. BOK Music was a great choice. Brendan made the whole process painless capturing all of the details (dances, speeches, announcements etc.) well in advance of our big day to make sure we were both prepared, which helped us cross an item off the growing wedding list. Brendan was fantastic to work with. Finding a DJ was surprisingly one of the hardest things to do. We met a handful and none of them made us feel confident until we contacted Brendan (BOK).

He was extremely responsive, attentive, and thorough leading up to the day. He is efficient - he uses a Google Dox spreadsheet for you to fill out all of your details, and this allows you to make changes and be as specific as you need to be. This was a great way to guarantee he was providing EXACTLY what we were looking for.

We booked him for four hours of dinner and dance music and added a few uplights for a very small extra charge - and it was definitely worth the extra charge. He was attentive and worked well with our coordinator the night of.

Most importantly, he and his assistant were great DJs. We had a crowd that loved to dance and the floor was pretty packed the whole night. He played everything on our 'Must Play' list and nothing on our 'Do Not Play List.' So they did all the right things! And everyone commented during and after how great the music was.

Brendan has a great spreadsheet communication system which gave him all the info he needed to play what and when we wanted, and allowed him to read our musical personalities to fill in the blanks. We found BOK-Music through New York Magazine’s wedding directory. Brendan was our contact person throughout the planning process, and he was very organized (wait till you see his Google spreadsheet!) and easy to work with. It was very important to us that we had a low-key DJ who would just play good music throughout the night and do very minimal MC-ing. We have been to weddings where the DJs are cheesy and annoying and basically take over the entire reception. Our DJ for the evening was Dave, and he was perfect – with the exception of a few key announcements, he mainly stayed in the background, doing his thing, while everyone had a good time mingling and dancing. We highly recommend BOK-Music and DJ Dave to anyone looking for awesome wedding music!

Brendan did a really spectacular job DJ'ing our wedding. You should use him for yours!

Right from the beginning, he knew exactly what to do. He is super organized, and does a great job helping you pick what songs should happen when. He is also very flexible and can do whatever you want. We had a set of religious music that we wanted him to play, and sent him the mp3's and he took care of the rest!

He played piano for us during the ceremony (he is a trained musician), and then switched to DJ mode during the reception. He even tuned my guitar for me, before I played a song at the wedding.

He didn't need any supervision, and we never needed to make sure he was where he needed to be. He has been to enough weddings, that he knew exactly what he needed to do, and we didn't need to worry about it.

When it comes to the actual DJ'ing, he also did a great job. From him, I learned this neat trick of playing the old school music to get all the older people on the dance floor, then switching it to contemporary, and everyone just keeps dancing.

I highly recommend you go with Brendan, you will not be disappointed.

Brendan was amazing from the moment we met him! He was an amazing musician and wonderful to work with. He played the piano (keyboard) for our ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding. He was super fast in regards to responding to emails and was easily able to play all the songs we wanted for ceremony and cocktail hour. He even helped us out with a PA for the officiant to use for our ceremony. He was on top of everything and so willing to help with whatever we needed. We found his value and price for his services were also super reasonable and we were working within a tight budget but really wanted live music for first portion of wedding. Out of all our vendors for our wedding, he was the easiest and most stress free to work with!

Brendan is FANTASTIC!!! We knew as soon as we spoke with BOK Music that they would be providing all of the music for our wedding. Brendan and his team played several pieces on the piano for our ceremony and were the DJs for our reception as well! Brendan and BOK Music are extremely organized. Brendan ensured that he knew exactly what we wanted for each portion of the wedding as far as type of music or specific song and who was involved in each aspect of the wedding. This was very reassuring and my husband and I knew that we had absolutely nothing to worry about with any of the music or timeline details because Brendan was totally on top of it! We told Brendan we wanted our wedding to be a dance party and after providing a relatively small play list, Brendan came through, big time! Once our guests started dancing, they didn't stop! And neither did we! And that was EXACTLY what we wanted!! Brendan was absolutely great. He provides everything you need for your music at a great price, which allows you to truly enjoy your wedding night. We will refer all our friends and family to BOK Music!!!

BOK Music was the perfect fit for our wedding. They were very professional in every interaction we had, especially on our wedding day. They worked with us patiently to make sure they had a clear understanding on what we wanted. What I loved most about their service was that they were not people who were trying to steal the spotlight. They were able to read us and our guests and match the mood. One of my big concerns about the first dance with the groom, or with my father, was that the songs would be too long and it would get uncomfortable for us on the dance floor with everyone staring at us for the full lengths of the songs. I let them know about the concern. They suggested that when the timing was right, they would invite the rest of our guests on the dance floor for my first dance with the groom. For the dance with my father, at the right point, they invited the rest of our families on the dance floor. These made for special moments that our guests could be part of as well. BOK Music was wonderful. I highly recommend!

BOK Music was a pleasure to work with and helped us have a great wedding! BOK distributes a Google document to assist with the planning so it was very easy to centrally locate all our ideas and questions throughout the planning process. It could then also be shared with the banquet manager so everyone was on the same page. Additionally, Brendan was very responsive to emails, so this helped move the planning along.
My husband and I did not want a club-like atmosphere at our wedding and Brendan listened to our desires and created a great playlist. Brendan remained flexible as the evening progressed, sensing the mood of the crowd and keeping the dancing going when the dance floor was full. At the same time, he kept the mood quiet and at a low decibel when everyone was eating so people could more easily talk to each other. We received numerous comments from our guests about the great music and how much fun they were having.
As icing on the cake, Brendan also served as our pianist for the cocktail reception. He quickly understood the mood we were trying to create and it worked perfectly. It was so easy dealing with Brendan for both aspects of the reception. Additionally, we found his prices to be quite reasonable. BOK Music really helped make our reception memorable!

Brendan was fabulous and BOK really helped our wedding sound amazing. We wanted live piano for parts, and DJing for others, and he was very flexible and helped our entire evening flow so smoothly. Brendan was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the process. The only thing that I didn't like was using google docs, but this gives you the opportunity to give your input on how the reception and event will go and gives you alot of control. We LOVED Dave the DJ and the saxophonist as well. The music was absolutely lovely, and EXACTLY what I wanted. Many, many people commented on how wonderful our music was (and a friend of mine comments on how cute Dave was!) My father, who is a musician, commented on how great the music was as well. We had an Asian Wedding Banquet, and Dave went with the flow and it turned out beautifully...I was very nervous since it wasn't a traditional American wedding but everything turned out wonderfully. Thank you so much!!!

BOK Music was a fantastic part of our wedding evening!

Before the wedding, Brendan was extremely organized: he asked us to fill out a very complete spreadsheet that covered all aspects of the event. He was very accommodating of the changes we had, and was careful to track all the changes.

During the wedding, BOK performed spectacularly. They got every cue right, had the correct volume levels, and mixed songs very well. MOST IMPORTANTLY, my husband and I didn't need to think about BOK once during the event: they just did their thing and allowed us to enjoy the evening. I am so grateful for that ;)

In short: I highly, highly recommend BOK.

Brendan was very responsive and helpful. He always got back to me rather quickly. I liked that he was up to date on technology, using google docs to go through typical questions and was very responsive when I posted questions on that as well. I also used lighting provided by BOK and it was absolutely beautiful! The lighting really set the mood of the wedding and looked gorgeous in the photos.

I would highly recommend Brendan and the rest of the BOK team to anybody looking for a professional and accommodating DJ/band. We used BOK musicians for the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception of our wedding.

From the very beginning, Brendan was so easy to work with. He was quick to respond to all our questions (we had A LOT of questions). He made sure everyone was on the same page in terms of what was going to happen the day of. He was willing and eager to try and meet all of our musical demands. I wanted a specific hymn to be played while I walked out and another specific instrumental to be played during the recessional and he worked with us to find the right musician who could play those songs.

Before the wedding, we were kind of nervous about what songs were going to be played during the reception because although we drafted a song list, it was nowhere near enough to last the night. However, once we met Brendan on the day of, we knew we were in good hands. From our previous conversations, he understand exactly what types of music we did and did not want. The wedding turned out beautifully and BOK Music had a large part to do with that.

Brendan was one of the best things that happened to my wedding. His professionalism and expertise allowed for seamless transitions throughout my ceremony and reception. He was in constant contact with me and my (now) husband, as well as with the maitre'd, which allowed for a beautiful flow to the entire day. Brendan arrived early at the venue and started playing earlier than we had even agreed upon, and while he did play everything we asked him to play, he also did an excellent job of picking out appropriate songs that we had not originally thought of. Additionally, he was very easy to communicate with during the planning process and was very prompt about replying to emails. I highly recommend Brendan as both a musician to play at the ceremony and as a DJ during the reception.

Brendan actually handled our wedding in November 3, 2001 - (wedding wire doesn't seem to go back that far) - in any event - Brendan did a terrific job of DJ'ing our wedding as well as supplying a harpist and violinist at our cocktail hour. We did take the time to put together a play list for Brendan - telling him what we liked and what we didn't like in a music selection. He has a terrific system that is very easy to work with and it is a very useful tool for brides and grooms to get EXACTLY what they want out of their wedding music. To read that others didn't use the tool - is just downright silly... Use what Brendan gives you and you will have a terrific music selection with professionals - serving up a great party!

Brendan was the only DJ we met with, largely because instinct told us he would be the right person to go with. And we were more than right. Not only did he work within our budget, he did a great job of providing exactly what we asked for musically. He was great with communication during the entire process, and the day of the wedding did everything as if he had done it hundreds of times before (as I'm sure he had). We had nothing to do with any of the set up/clean up, and everything went extremely smoothly.

As a DJ, I also really appreciated Brendan's low-key approach. Unlike some of the other DJs we had initially communicated with, Brendan seemed focus on doing his job and making himself know, but not being over the top. This fit in well with the tone of the entire event, and I have to say one of the most wonderful parts of the wedding was the music.

I would most most definitely recommend Brendan as a DJ for any event.

We thought everything went great at the wedding. In particular, we appreciated that the willingness to learn new songs, his suggestion to do the Hora early on, how smoothly he transitioned from one toast to the next, and the music selection overall. Brendan was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! He was extremely patient as we went back and forth with ideas for the type of music we wanted at our wedding reception and the kind that would fit our budget. BOK was fantastic to work with for our wedding ceremony and reception.
Brendan has a true passion for what he does, and knows how to get the party started. Not only is he a DJ, but he is an excellent pianist as well.
We had him play piano and had a few other instrumentalists perform for our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner music. BOK is very organized in laying out the flow of the night, and provided such a great atmosphere for our ceremony and cocktail hour. It was the best of both worlds, live music and also DJ services for the reception. I highly recommend checking BOK out!

BOK-Music did a wonderful job at our wedding. We hired two musicians (a violinist and an acoustic guitarist) for our ceremony, as well as a DJ for our cocktail hour and reception. It was great to have a one-stop shop for our wedding music needs, and Brendan and his staff were very easy and pleasant to work with, as well as very responsive to any questions or concerns I had. The ceremony musicians were amazing - the music they chose for the prelude to the ceremony was perfect, and their renditions of the popular songs that we had asked them to learn for the processional and recessional were exactly as I had envisioned them. The DJ was also great! With the exception of two very minor missteps (the DJ played one song at cocktail hour that was on our dance playlist and then replayed it during the reception; the DJ played a couple of Beatles' songs in a row during dinner, including the depressing "Yesterday"), I loved the music the DJ chose and the way that he wove in the sometimes eclectic picks that we had put on our "please play" list. We wanted a really good mix of different types of music, and that's exactly what we got - no matter what the musical tastes of our guests, at some point, they were up there dancing. As the night progressed and the DJ really got going, the dance floor was packed! Some of my favorite moments of the wedding had to do with the songs he picked and how they brought everyone to the dance floor together. I would definitely recommend BOK-Music!

We booked BOK Music to DJ and MC the reception portion of our wedding. BOK Music was easy to work with and delivered a fine DJ experience for our wedding. The owner, Brendan O’Keefe was very personable and a pleasure to work with. He was ultra responsive with communication and has great organizational skills and documents for clients to work off of.

We got DJ David Ellenbogen for our event, as well as a DJ assistant. He was very pleasant and did a good job. Volume control was a big concern of ours and DJ David was very sensitive to that and kept the music at a good volume. He approached us at some point during the night to ask if he could go off list (we had decided to provide a play list rather than a do not play list), We said that was fine, but in the end he didn’t need to. Overall we were very satisfied with our BOK Music experience and would recommend them.
