I used BP&Bs on-location services for my wedding day as well as an in-studio trial the week before. Teddi was so helpful and clear in explaining everything that was included with my services, as well as clearing up any miscommunication with the contract. The value for their services was impeccable. as I booked them during a promotion offering 50% off. The six-service minimum was very reasonable for sending a team out to me (so reasonable that I booked an additional three services!). KC (hair) and Shanelle (makeup) did a good job fulfilling my requests for my look for the wedding day.

Bobby Pins & Blush is absolutely amazing! I first met Brooke a while back and have worked with her before for another event and she was amazing. I then wanted her to provide hair and makeup for my wedding and she and her team did a beautiful job. Brooke is fun to work with and very professional. I was beyond pleased with my hair and makeup for my wedding. I wish I had Brooke to make me look that good everyday! She has a true talent and she really cares about her clients. It is rare to find someone who cares so much about what they do, let alone a whole team of them! I would highly recommend Bobby Pins & Blush to anyone! They are the best!

Brooke Stone was an absolute joy to work with.Brooke was professional, knowledgeable, insightful and very helpful. I knew I wanted Teddi to be my hair & make-up artist for my wedding, and was thrilled she was available! I am SO not a girly-girl and had no idea how I wanted my hair, so Teddi asked a few questions and started to explain her idea, when I rudely cut her off and just told her to have fun... I trust her :) Wow!! I was floored at how perfect the hairstyle fit me and my dress, and the make-up was natural as I asked. I felt so beautiful!! Teddi is one IN-demand HMU artist...and for good reason. Thank you for everything Teddi!

Bobby Pins and Blush did a great job on my hair and makeup on my wedding day. My bridal party loved them as well, they all looked beautiful! I loved that they created time line for the morning of to make sure we were done in time and helped everything run smoothly. I would definitely recommend Bobby Pins and Blush for weddings, they're great!

Brooke was an amazing find. I had been planning a Virginia wedding from Colorado, and the smaller details (like figuring out hair) didn't catch my attention until a week before the event. All of the local salons were booked, but fortunately, someone recommended Brooke, and I feel so lucky to have found her.

At the hair consultation, I showed her a few pictures of what I was looking for (something up, but not super complicated), and I talked about how I normally don't put anything in my hair / don't style it at all. She quietly went to work, and put together a beautiful low bun (looked like a rose) in about 15 minutes. It was absolutely perfect. On the wedding day itself, she also styled 3 other people's hair. Everyone looked great - not overly styled and just naturally beautiful.

Brooke was extremely flexible with time, very professional, and just a very nice / calm person to be around during a busy event. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area.

Brooke and her team were excellent to work with throughout the entire process. For my hair trial, she was very patient as I tried to decide what hairstyle I wanted. I ended up buying a different accessory than originally planned, and she initated contact with me to do a second hair trial at no extra charge. Her demeanor is very professional, calm, and encouraging. She always responded to phone calls or emails within a few hours. She brought extra stylists to accommodate my large wedding party and early ceremony time at no extra charge. She was on-time and ultimately I loved how my hair turned out!

Brooke did an amazing job with my hair and make-up!! She came to the wedding venue and even agreed to stay until after pictures to "freshen-up." She was very professional and her work was excellent. I chose to wear my hair down in a simple style. Brooke supported my decisions and provided honest feedback. Her prices are amazingly reasonable compared to most on-site wedding hair and make-up. I liked her work and style so much I will probably use her as my permanent hair stylist! Thank you Brooke for everything. Having you at our wedding definitely relieved a ton of wedding day stress.

Such lovely, personable, and professional ladies working here! They did gorgeous work on our make up and hair the morning of, were very sweet and easy to get along with, and accommodating and helpful through the whole process of trial and wedding day. I thought Brooke did a great job and was very easy to work with. I sent her a photo of a (long) hairstyle I liked and she managed to make my short hair look just like it. She also did my MOH, mother, and a friend, giving each of us different, flattering hairstyles that suited the soft, romantic style of my wedding. Our makeup was also beautiful and everyone looked great. She was friendly, professional, and I would definitely recommend her to others!

So good! The ladies of BP&B did beautiful work for my bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and me on the day of my wedding!

Morgan did my hair and was great to work with. My hair is fairly short and she managed to create an elegant up-do. She was also very accommodating! We got behind schedule and I was still having my makeup done when I was supposed to be with her for my hair. Morgan snapped into action and stood on a chair behind me to start my hair while the makeup artist finished.

Teddi was also awesome and flexible -- I had left a sister-in-law off the list for the day (total panic) and Teddi instantly adapted to make sure everyone looked and felt great (and that no future in-laws realized I had left anyone out).

Beautiful work and great to work with!

We booked Bobby Pins & Blush at the very last minute (about a month before the wedding). I am SO grateful they were even available to book! The up do's they did were gorgeous and they accommodated everyone's request. My bridesmaids showed them many different pictures and they were able to do every single one. I had a trial for my hair and makeup and they did not disappoint the day of. I'm so thankful we decided to use Bobby Pins & Blush for our hair and makeup. They were very professional and their quality of work was more than we could have asked for.

I was thrilled with my hair and makeup on my wedding day! Kris is absolutely amazing for makeup. I got airbrush makeup to make sure it stayed intact for a hot July day, and it looked great all day. I showed her an idea of how I wanted my makeup to look during my trial, and she recreated it perfectly. KC did a fabulous job with my hair updo, and it stayed up even though I had long hair and was dancing quite a bit during the reception. I recommend doing the trial before the wedding day because it helped to ensure the stylists knew exactly what I wanted on the morning of my wedding and everything went smoothly. My bridesmaids and mom also had their hair done, and all of the styles looked gorgeous! We were all very pleased with BP&B’s beautiful work!

Teddi and her team were great to work with! When I had my first trail, Teddi did my make-up and she created exactly what I imagined, just by going off a few photos I brought in and knowing what would work well with my complexion. I changed my mind for a hairstyle closer to our wedding date and needed to have a second trial. KC did an amazing trail up-do that I knew right away that I needed to have that style the day of my wedding. She worked wonders with my hair, curling it and pinning it up, and maintained her patience when certain hair strands wouldn’t go where she wanted them to. On the day-of, KC and Jordan did mine and the bridal parties hair and make-up and my bridesmaids loved what KC and Jordan were able to accomplish. I was amazed by how reasonably priced the services were too! Jordan did a fantastic job on my airbrush make-up and I ended up loving the color of lipstick she used for me that I’ve been searching for one similar since! I highly recommended Teddi and her team for any hair and make-up service!

I am so happy that I was able to work with Bobby Pins & Blush for my hair and makeup on my wedding day. Teddi is amazing and the people she employs are just as wonderful. From the very start speaking with Jessica to book them for their services, I knew I was sold because she is the kindest and most easy going person to speak with on the phone. Then when it came time for my hair trial, I was even more excited to finally meet Teddi and she lived up to everything I had heard from my mother-in law who has been going to Teddi to do her hair for years. Teddi walked me through the whole hair trial process and made sure I was comfortable with everything along the way. She was very responsive to my critiques and concerns and made sure the final product was one that would leave me so excited for my wedding day! She makes sure to take several pictures of the do before you leave and then studies them the days leading up to your Big Day!
On the wedding day, the ladies arrived on time and got to work quickly in our dressing room doing my 8 bridesmaids, mother, and myself for hair and makeup. They were so easy going and added fake lashes for some of my girls at the last minute, plus touch ups, you name it. After each girl was finished, I was in awe of how beautiful they looked without even having a trial - they were all so excited and said they felt beautiful!!
When it came time for me - Teddi was AWESOME! She took her time and even made a few alterations at my request to make sure I was 100% unbelievably happy with the final look. The whole time I kept telling her, "this looks even better than my hair trial!" and it really did. My photographer even said he doesn't say things to brides often but he thought that my hair looked like a goddess! The entire wedding people kept coming up to me and telling me how much they loved my hair.
So yes, I can say that I am 110% happy that I went with Bobby Pins and Blush for my wedding in May. Thank you for all you did!

I worked with Brooke of Bobby Pins and Blush for my September wedding. Brooke was great! Every step of the way, Brooke was professional and responsive. At the make-up and hair trial, Brooke was easy to talk to and really wanted to help create the "look" I was going for. Our my wedding day, she arrived early, stuck to schedule and was even able to squeeze in extra servies bridesmaids asked for! In fact, we finished about an hour early---which is great news during the busy wedding day! Brooke was quick to respond to emails and calls. Everyone looked great and was very happy with their hair and make-up! I'd highly recommend Brooke for any special event!

These ladies were amazing! SO accommodating and professional. We blew a fuse in the hotel because bridesmaids were steaming their dresses while we were hair styling and these ladies moved around the hotel with us using available outlets and we were still done an hour early. SO easy to talk to and understanding. They were able to do exactly what we wanted and asked our opinions every step of the way so we got exactly what we wanted.

I would totally use these ladies for every life event!

The ladies of Bobby Pins & Blush made me, my bridesmaids, and our moms look like GODDESSES. They were also just a joy to hang out with on my wedding day, which is no small gift to a stressed out bride. My hair and makeup were perfect--they worked patiently with me to make sure they had my vision down and then they made it look even BETTER--and I received tons of compliments on their work. I cannot say enough great things about Bobby Pins & Blush. I went in for my trial and came out only half loving what I got. When I debriefed with Teddi about the things I did or didn't like she was so professional and helped me to understand that makeup artists can't read minds (duh), and offered a free second trial so that I could be sure I would love it on the day of my wedding. Beckah did airbrush makeup for my mom, my mother-in-law, and myself and we looked and felt absolutely perfect. All the things that I didn't like about my trial, Beckah fixed and my makeup lasted throughout the entire night (fake eyelashes and all). She was accommodating in a small space with a lot going on, and she was so professional. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She is able to take your feedback and give you exactly what you want - she is fabulous and so is the rest of the team at BP&B!

Brooke is a wonderful professional. She was timely, patient, and incredibly talented. During my trial, she gave me 3 beautiful hairdos to experiment with. She was ready to try as many times as necessary until I was happy!

On my wedding day she arrived at my hotel room early and worked quickly. I loved my hair, and it stayed put all day (I had a morning wedding). I highly recommend her for weddings and special events.

Brooke did an awesome job with my make up and hair do for my wedding. She also did a really good job with the hair do for my two flower girls. The pictures show the transformation from very straight hair to elegant vintage with curls. I highly recommend her. I have a hectic work schedule as I commute to the Washington DC area for a total of 5 hours daily. She responded promptly to my emails and worked with my work schedule. We met 3 times before the event to try out different hair styles and makeup until I was satisfied with the results. She listened to what I wanted and delivered. Thank you to the hair and makeup artists from Bobby Pins & Blush for adding to our amazing wedding last weekend at Old House Vineyards in Culpeper VA. Your make-up artists and hair stylists were fabulous. They did a wonderful job on both make-up and hair and each lady was so happy with the results. There were 11 of us all together with varying combos of service. Your team made us all look great and styled to what each of us wanted. The makeup was classy and not overdone which was everyone’s greatest concern. Your team also finished with time to spare so the bride and her entourage actually had time to relax and drink in (literally) the morning.
Thanks again for a fabulous job and a fabulous team. I am so appreciative.

Brooke was fabulous to work with! She offers a trial for all her services. I went and loved what she did. She was willing to come to our hotel room to get my bridesmaids and I ready so we could all be together and relax! She was able to do 6 hairstyles and makeup for two of us with no trouble! She balanced her time well so we were all ready in plenty of time! She wants everyone to be completely satisfied and will work with you until every last detail looks perfect! She is very patient, professional and talented! She goes above and beyond, also. We forgot to do my veil placement before she left. Luckily she was only a phone call away and came back just to place me veil perfectly and teach my maid of honor how to remove it without messing up my hairstyle. I would definitely recommend her to any future brides!

Brooke Stone was my hair and make-up stylist for my wedding and I could not have asked for a better artist and person to work with! From the moment I contacted her she was very responsive, friendly and professional. I live several hours from her studio and she was very accommodating with scheduling my trial on an early Saturday morning. During my trial she was so kind and listened to exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. She only had to do my make-up and hair a couple times before she nailed the look I was going for (even though she was willing to stay all day until she got it right). The make-up was very natural looking and didn't feel caked on...it also didn't come off all day until I removed it myself. I had my hair in an up-do and it stayed exactly the same the entire wedding despite the summer sun, dancing and putting various props/hats on my head. Brooke has a very calming personality which works perfectly on a high-stress day such as a wedding. On my wedding morning when I arrived to my venue she was already set up and waiting for us to get started which was so relieving. I truly felt honored and privileged to have such a talented person do my hair/make-up and Brooke made me feel so beautiful. I highly recommend her!!

Teddi Walker did my makeup for my wedding, and she was a true pleasure to work with. At the trial she explained the whole process and products that she would be using (airbrush, waterproof!) and worked to make it just how i wanted.Teddi traveled on site to do my makeup on my wedding day, and it looked fantastic. Despite being a bit self conscious about my less than perfect complexion, it looked smooth and fresh, and i felt beautiful. There was a slight miscommunication about her specific arrival time that day, but Teddi handled it like a professional and still had me ready on time. While i found the services to be a bit expensive initially, I was able to take advantage of a promotion they were having, and it was well worth it! I would recommend Teddi and the staff at Bobby Pins & Blush for future brides!

Kristen and her team and Bobby Pins and Blush did such a great job on my wedding hair and makeup! My entire bridal party, mom, and grandma all looked absolutely gorgeous! Their airbrush makeup is so awesome, it looks flawless but feels so light. The cost is a bit more than if you just went to a normal salon but since they specialize in bridal and other events it's really worth it. I also had the pleasure of having Kristen do my hair/makeup for my boudoir session with Julie Socher Photography!

Brooks styled my hair and makeup in my hotel room. She did a wonderful job. My hair and makeup was beautiful and lasted all day. She also was very flexible with styling my bridesmaids' hair when they originally said they did not want their hair styled, but due to the humid weather, they changed their mind.

I used BP&B for my rehearsal dinner hair & makeup as well as wedding day. For my rehearsal dinner, Teddi gave me a wonderful blow out with some waves and beautiful airbrush makeup which lasted all day. Teddi is just a gem and is so easy to talk to. By the end of an appointment with her you will feel like you have just talked to your best friend! She also was really flexible and was able to style my MoH's clip in extensions during her appointment. We really appreciated her! The next morning Teddi, Kris, Morgan, and Kaelie knocked out 13 women and 1 sweet little flower's girls hair and (most of their) makeup, from 8:15am to 1:30pm finishing on time! This amazing team of women is extremely talented and super flexible when we had to keep rearranging the schedule. All of the women were so happy with their look! Teddi was great. Only thing that bothered me was she stated we would receive lip gloss to apply over the lip stain. We were not provided the gloss. It was upsetting because we didnt have time to go get any before heading to the venue.

While the Bobby Pins and Blush Team is a higher-priced choice than some of their competitors, the professionalism they bring to your wedding day preparations is definitely worth it. I know all of the girls who received services were happy with their hair and makeup, and I was beyond thrilled with my results! The only down point was when my falsie eyelashes began peeling off before the wedding ceremony began. Luckily we had already taken the majority of our pictures, and my maid of honor was super prepared with eyeliner and mascara (I totally recommend an emergency kit... it came in handy on more than one occasion!). I took the falsies off, reapplied eyeliner, put on some mascara and the rest of the makeup stayed the course of the evening!

Wedding Hair was Fab!

I booked Bobby Pins and Blush for wedding hair and overall the experience was wonderful. They require a lot of details prior to the event, but it is understood so that they can plan a timeline accordingly, which helps put any bride at ease day of! Rihanna did my bridal hair and it turned out AMAZING. Held the entire night and was exactly what I wanted. We switched it up day-of, rather than going with the trial style, and it was like Rihanna knew what I'd end up loving more. My bridesmaids were happy with their hair and the stylists stayed to do touch ups and fix anything anyone didn't like. Would recommend!

Brooke did a great job and I was really happy with how everything turned out. She helped me feel very comfortable in our practice runs and worked hard to make sure that I was happy with everything she did!

Teddi does amazing work and is an absolute professional. I would work with her again in a heartbeat. My hair and makeup looked absolutely perfect. She also did the hair form my mom and bridesmaids and it all looked great as well. I was less thrilled with the makeup on everyone else, which was done by a second artist. It looked great at first, but by the reception it was cracked and caking off. My makeup looked perfect until I took it off. I also had an issue with my first trail with a different artist, but Teddi took care of everything and I was really happy with the result.

I loved working with you all and would definitely recommend you to a friend. I only wish that your trials weren't so expensive. I ended up not going with one for sheer sake of the budget.

This is a tough review for me because I absolutely LOVE the quality of work that Teddi and her team provided, but I think they could improve on their customer service. They provided hair and makeup services to bride, MOH, mother and grandmother of the bride. They have a very large team of professionals and were able to accommodate three additional people who ended up not going with them due to pricing. Their pricing is on the more expensive side and is not set. Their prices are on an up price scale, meaning their base price for a formal updo is $100 plus whatever they feel they want to charge, depending on the style. Their pricing is what caused everyone an issue because on the day of our trial we were verbally told what the day of cost were going to be, but then in writing and final cost was more expensive. My MOH was told $150 and was charged $200, my mother was told $185 and was also told $100. There was a lot of back and forth between the parties about the issues on pricing and they never budged. We ultimately went with Bobby Pins and Blush because it was only a few weeks before the wedding and it would have cost more money to switch, plus we were happy with their work, not their customer service. Overall I was very happy with the end results, but I cannot recommend due to customer service. On the day of the wedding after back and forth of unhappiness they remained very professional and it was not uncomfortable to be around them.

Good at hair and makeup, terrible customer service

Bobby Pins and Blush was mediocre at best. It's sad, because I was mostly happy with their services, but the overall experience was horrific and resulted in this being the only vendor I used that I would not recommend.

The customer service was terrible. First, I was sent a bill overcharging me. Then, when I asked to have it corrected, I didn't even receive a "sorry, our mistake" message- I was simply sent a new bill. Okay- except that contract was blank. It didn't have a date, a venue, a price- anything. When I stated that I would not sign a blank contract, I was told both the salon and owner's internet service was messed up, resulting in these issues- despite the fact that the salon and owner's house are in different counties (I grew up there).

After that, I booked my trial. I knew what I wanted- I wear a lot of makeup daily. I informed my makeup artist that I was not afraid of makeup, to give full coverage, and that I liked warm tones like gold and champagne. She listened to exactly NONE of this and put cool, icy tones on me and told me she "couldn't put anymore makeup on" me when I told her the coverage was not enough. I use L'Oreal foundation daily and do a better job. To the owner's credit, when I called her a few days later and admitted that I was unhappy, she told me she figured as much from overhearing us and was happy to set me up with another artist. Please keep in mind that I took a day off of work and paid around $75 for this garbage makeup trial.

With the new makeup artist I was given, I was happy. However, even after scheduling an at-home appointment with her 3 weeks ahead of the trial, (which I still paid for, at a reduced rate), I was forced to track down the owner 48 hours out to ask if they were still coming. I had checked my emails and had received no confirmation and since this was a house call, I needed to know what was going on. After she informed me my makeup artist was indeed still coming, I told the owner that her clients may appreciate some sort of confirmation when they book. It was then that I received a snarky response of "I'll keep that in mind" and then received the confirmation email I should have initially received when I booked the appointment weeks before.

The owner does a good job at hair. Her attitude and customer service are awful. On my wedding day, she came and tried to control the conversation between my bridal party and myself. She even said at one point "yeah I hope you're happy because I'm sure I'll hear about it if you aren't". The services were a 3.5-4/5 but the customer service was awful. This is the only vendor I booked for my whole wedding that I would NOT recommend.

We hired Bobby Pins & Blush, LCC to do hair and make up on site for my daughter-in-law’s wedding on May 6, 2017 for the bride, all bridesmaids, and both mothers. The staff sent, Kris for makeup and Morgan for hair, was amazing and everyone was beautiful. I would recommend either or both artists for your wedding. However, the studio manager Brandi and the owner Teddi can give you different and contradictory information and when asked to clarify both can become defensive and off-putting. We did two make up trials and apparently there is no plan for appointments that are cancelled by the studio in less than one hour before appointments due to staff absences (even if you tell them that you have coordinated your appointment with other vendors). I feel the price was comparable to other studios in the area; however, it is clear that the studio is not managed well, the owner does not take accountability for studio miscommunication, and is not accommodating to the needs of the customer when artists are out, the appointment is just cancelled whether you took off work or coordinated with other vendor’s for the day.
