  True Artists, Amazing to Work with!

  Melanie and Dari were a dream to work with! Melanie helped me pre-wedding through email consultation and a hair and makeup preview; her services truly helped me to be ready for my big day. On the day of my wedding, Melanie and Dari were extremely friendly, professional, and talented. We could not have been happier with how hair and makeup turned out! I highly recommend these services!

  Smooth & Flawless

  Melanie and her ladies were a dream come true! The girls and I loved working with her and her team and the hairstyles and make up applications they did were nothing short of remarkable! Love them and would 100% hire them again! Highly recommend!!

  Blush was amazing!!!!

  We had a great time working with the girls from Blush on and leading up to our wedding day. We live in Dallas and our elopement was in Yosemite. Being so far away I only had the internet reviews to rely on to choose my vendors and I didn’t really know what to expect but I have to say the internet wasn’t wrong. Melanie is amazing!! She was excellent at staying in touch with me and working with me to select my look for the big day. She was prompt with her replies and was expressive in her responses to my many questions :)
  We got to work with Diana(hairstylist) and Mariah (makeup artist) on our big day. They were both punctual, professional and experts at their job. I don't apply makeup in my day to day life and hence my knowledge in the space is extremely limited. I had selected a nude look for the wedding. However on the day of the event Mariah talked me through some other option that would look great on me. We ended up pivoting to a completely different look and I’m so glad we did because it turned out fantastic. Additionally both girls were very personable and we had a great time chatting and getting to know them.

  Great hair and makeup!

  Melanie did an amazing job on my hair and make-up for our wedding elopement day!!! We had to switch locations to another state on short notice and she was able to meet us at our new location. Very friendly and easy to talk to, punctual, and very accommodating. Would highly recommend her to anyone! I also received several compliments on my hair and make-up :))

  Very talented team of makeup and hair artists

  Melanie and Amanda did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup for my wedding, and on the hair and makeup for the bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom. Melanie did my hair and makeup, and I have never looked better. She also did the makeup for the bridesmaids and mother of the groom, and they looked gorgeous! Amanda is a complete whiz with hair, and did am amazing job on everyone's hair, even though the girls all had totally different types of hair (short, long, thin, thick, etc.) We were all super pleased with the results. Amanda also did the groom's hair, and he loved it.
  
  Blush was very accommodating too, and was able to add on hair services for my mom, who decided last minute that she wanted her hair done professionally. They also added on the groom's hair, and hair for a guest who requested hair services.

  Perfect wedding day look

  Melanie did my hair and makeup for our Yosemite elopement and I can not say enough good things about my experience. The booking process was organized and simple. Communication was prompt and thorough, all my questions were answered. To start, I am not a person who knows much about makeup or wears much of it. The day of the wedding Melanie created a stress free, comfortable environment. She is so talented and perfectly captured the natural look I wanted, despite my indecision at times. Most importantly, I felt like myself still and could not be happier with how it all turned out. Worth every penny to have peace of mind on the big day. Thank you so much!

  Amazing experience! Felt beautiful all day!

  Blush and Melanie were amazing! She was able to accommodate all of my requests, including an early start (4am!) and body make up to cover up scars on my back.
  Melanie is exceptionally talented and I looked exactly as I had always envisioned.
  She's also really nice, easy going and fun to to talk to and made the whole experience relaxing .
  My hair and make up lasted over 18 hours and I was able to wear my backless gown without worry (something I have never been able to do). I cant thank Melanie enough for making me feel beautiful and confident on my wedding day =)

  Amazing makeup and hair !!!

  I am so so happy I chose Melanie for my elopement in Yosemite. She gave me the exact look I was going for and made me feel stress free and beautiful. She was helpful and knowledgeable about the area as well as I traveled from Florida. I also knew I wanted to put something in my hair but could not find a hair clip before my wedding. She picked certain flowers out of my bouquet and gave me my own personalized dream hair. I couldn’t have asked for a better artist!!

Also, Melanie spent the time pre wedding day to get just the look I was hoping for in my up-do. She did hair not only for me but for the entire wedding party which made pictures great! I would highly recommend Melanie!!!!

  Melanie was great! I normally don't wear a lot of makeup and wanted a very simple look for my wedding day. Melanie was great at executing the look that I wanted but also knew where we needed to go a little heavier on coverage to ensure flawless photos. Melanie was also a total sweetheart and great to work with. I highly recommend her!!

  My makeup never looked so good. Absolutely perfect! The matron of honor loved her hair, it was so full. Everyone radiated beauty and confidence. Melanie kept me touched up throughout the day for pictures. She was amazing because you knew you looked your best, and that's exactly what you want on your special day.

  I was very happy with Melanie as my makeup artist for my engagement photos and wedding. She was attentive, professional, and I loved my makeup! For my wedding, she did my makeup, as well as my bridesmaids, mother, and mother in law. I would highly recommend her!

Melanie managed to create a flawless, youthful glow that looked natural and lasted all day and into late night. All night long, people gave compliments and comments about how amazing I looked.   Melanie did my makeup for the wedding and it stayed on all night. I don’t usually wear makeup but what she did made me look natural while really bringing out my eyes which looked incredible. Great communication leading to to the wedding and had great tips and product recommendations for skin care.

  Great service (esp. during COVID)

  Having a tiny wedding during COVID proved complicated with various county restrictions and limited access to Yosemite. Melanie and her team were incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout the whole process. They followed cleanliness and mask guidelines which kept all of us safe while preparing for my big day. I was thrilled with how my hair and makeup turned out as well!

  Unprofessional and tried to get more money out of me

  I had a terrible experience with Melanie/Blush.  I hired Melanie/Blush over a year before my wedding (last October 2018).  I found her on Instagram and liked her work that I saw. Upon booking Melanie, I signed the required contract and gave the deposit.  When I booked my hair trial, Melanie informed me that Amanda would be doing my trial and day of wedding hair.  I thought Melanie was going to be my stylist but I was told Amanda would be. Nowhere in the contract or any of our correspondence did it say that I would have someone other than Melanie.  This was the first of many issues where I noticed Melanie’s lack of communication; contract problems and business etiquette were totally unprofessional.  However, I proceeded with the hair trial with Amanda and it was great.  Amanda was very kind and I liked my hair.  My hair trial was $225 (for both my mom and I).
  
   
  
  Fast forward to a month ago (10 weeks before my wedding date).  I reached out to Melanie to discuss day of timeline and final balance. Since I’m getting married in a church, the ceremony time is non-negotiable and is at 1pm.  I have 3 bridesmaids, 2 moms (MOB and MOG) and myself that needed hair styling.  (It should be noted that everyone just wanted curls, no up-dos or anything complex).  We needed to be ready by a certain time for photos, etc.  Melanie instructed me that we would have to start getting ready at 5am (which seems crazy early and 8 hours before the wedding!), it would also be an additional cost because of the early time, PLUS I needed to pay for their hotel room since they needed to be there so early (Add on another $300ish for the room). None of these additional costs, early arrival, hotel, etc were ever discussed with me/or in the contract.  My bridesmaids ultimately decided that they would rather do their own hair at that point.  I reached out to Melanie to remove the bridesmaids and one mom.  All allowed per the contract.  Once I made this change, Melanie informed me that I would still have to pay the minimum $500 requirement plus travel (even though my location was within “the free travel within 60 miles”). This is the FIRST TIME I WAS TOLD ABOUT A MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.   When I reached out to ask Melanie to show me in the contract where there was a minimum, she never could.  She insisted that it’s “all over her website and marketing materials”…  but NOT in the contract.  Melanie was rude, unprofessional and unwilling to help at all!  Melanie took it upon herself to speak with my wedding planner about me, how difficult I was.  After many emails about the contract – which why do we even have contracts? She told me that I could either pay an additional $150 to meet the minimum OR she would cancel the date.  I mean, what kind of business creates a contract, doesn’t stand by their contract and then bad mouths the bride to other wedding vendors???  It was completely unprofessional and so stressful as I now have to find another stylist 7 weeks out from my wedding!  Who does that?  I am getting married in Yosemite, I live out of the area so I have to go back up there to get another trial with another stylist and spend more money… all because Melanie’s contract was wrong.  If it was in the contract that there actually was a minimum, I would have paid it.  Period.  Melanie kept blaming me that it was “my perspective” that her contract didn’t spell out any of the above.   I work for a wedding vendor & we would never treat a client (even if we were right) like this.

  I had a terrible experience with Melanie/Blush.  I hired Melanie/Blush over a year before my wedding (last October 2018).  I found her on Instagram and liked her work that I saw. Upon booking Melanie, I signed the required contract and gave the deposit.  When I booked my hair trial, Melanie informed me that Amanda would be doing my trial and day of wedding hair.  I thought Melanie was going to be my stylist but I was told Amanda would be. Nowhere in the contract or any of our correspondence did it say that I would have someone other than Melanie.  This was the first of many issues where I noticed Melanie’s lack of communication; contract problems and business etiquette were totally unprofessional.  However, I proceeded with the hair trial with Amanda and it was great.  Amanda was very kind and I liked my hair.  My hair trial was $225 (for both my mom and I).
