We hired Debbie Hill of Events Couture for our independent movie premiere, and I honestly don’t know how we would have pulled it off without her.
From the beginning, Debbie handled everything with so much poise and professionalism. She was prepared for anything, and she thought of details I never would have considered on my own. Because of her, I was able to actually be present with my guests and enjoy the night instead of running around putting out fires. She helped me execute a perfect speech.
Debbie knows how to get people to help her, how to manage different personalities under stress, and how to calmly roll with the punches when things don’t go exactly according to plan. She even stayed longer than she needed to, and worked with us on fairly short notice at an incredible value.
Beyond her skills, she’s just a joy to be around — grounded, kind, and completely in control in the best way. She is truly a master of her craft. If she could make our movie premiere feel seamless and special, she's even better (if that's even possible) with weddings. I recommend her wholeheartedly. -

They were all incredibly friendly, EVERY bridesmaid was so happy with their work and they were so easy to work with. Now, I had my own makeup artist dedicated only to the bride and my gosh, she NAILED every inch of my makeup and hair. I can’t even put into words how magical it was. I was SOOOOO happy with this group of ladies and I HIGHLY recommend using them!!! You will not be disappointed. -

Felt So Beautiful! Hair and Makeup
Never have I ever felt more beautiful. Brittany was my lead artist, she was amazing and so nice. My bridesmaids and mother of bride/groom loved the experience. My trial was smooth and easy and Brittany was very responsive to any input I had which created my flawless wedding day look. Blush was easy to work with as a company, discussed pricing and availability directly with the owner who was patient and answered all my questions. It is a 50% deposit, which is steep and I was hesitant due to COVID but it worked out and Melissa was able to spell everything out in the contract. Her coordinator Ashley was SO responsive and awesome, very professional. -

An absolute dream!
Blush was incredibly responsive and eager to work with me to make my vision for my wedding come true. They were very accommodating and made it simple to coordinate the trial and day of services. The prices are extremely reasonable especially considering the quality of work.
In all honesty, I was hesitant to book any HMU artist for myself and my bridal party because most of us are Black and it is very difficult to find reviews or many diverse portfolio photos. However, I forgot about all of these worries as soon as I met our lead artist, Erin, and had my trial. Erin is incredible and I had no concerns once I was in her chair. She achieved my dream look effortlessly and had me looking better than I could have ever expected. Beyond her skill and talent, Erin is extremely kind and easy to talk to - she made the experience perfect! I cannot praise Blush by M. Marie enough. If you are looking for HMU for a special occasion, stop looking and book now! -

Blush was always very responsive even on the weekends when I expected to wait until Monday for a reply. They were flexible and made it easy to coordinate the trial at my own apartment and the day of services at our Airbnb. We really liked our lead artist, Brittany. She made the process easy for someone that isn’t used to having hair or makeup done and I was impressed with the results. She was able to pull off a hair style I wasn’t sure was possible due to thin hair by using some extensions. She remembered my notes from the trial and made some minor tweaks with no issues the day of the wedding.
We had the bride with a trial, a junior bridesmaid, 5 hair and makeup, and one makeup for the cost of 1640. -

Cristina was great! She worked really well with my best friend, who was my hairdresser that day! They worked together and they weren’t concerned with who was supposed to do who and was very flexible. She made the day go so smoothly. She did all of my girls’ hair and did my makeup as well as one of my bridesmaids. She is very knowledgeable! She can do all complexions and ages when it comes to makeup as well!! Please see photos! -

Melissa is such an amazing artist and a pleasure to work with!!! I was referred to her by a friend and I am so happy with how my wedding makeup and hair turned out. She was able to take some ideas I had and turned me into what I felt like royalty. She was professional and most importantly ON TIME!! Every bride stresses about being on time. Melissa made sure me and all my bridesmaids were done at the right time. She was quick to fix some problems I had with my extensions and still gave me the sleek look I wanted. My makeup was natural and glamorous none of it looked caked on or over the top. My hair and makeup really represented me and my personality. I didn’t even have to touch up my makeup one time during the whole day. It looked flawless the entire day which I am so happy about because I didn’t have time to do any sort of touch ups. I couldn’t have been happier with booking with Melissa she is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for making me feel like royalty.

Chelsea Sent on 09/25/2018I had the pleasure of working with Brittany a my hair and makeup stylist! She is incredibly talented and such a sweetheart!
Her timing was spot on as we were all done and ready to go when we needed to and that was ALOT of girls - me, my mom, and 6 bridesmaids. She worked through all us like a champ and everyone looked incredible!
Brittany's understanding of my style was impeccable. She knew that I was looking for something more natural, yet gave me that bridal glow. Boy did she deliver!! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day!
I am so grateful for Brittany and all that she did to make my wedding day so special.

Caylin Sent on 11/16/2016I do not think I could have found a better makeup artist than Melissa. She is so talented! I booked Melissa to do makeup for my six bridesmaids, 2 moms and me and she nailed it. Not only did everyone's makeup look flawless, but it lasted all night! We all felt so beautiful. A few of the ladies were nervous because they had never had anyone do their makeup and were worried about looking ridiculous, but everyone was so happy with her work.
Also, this girl is FAST! One of my biggest concerns was running late because I did not want to feel rushed or add any stress to my day. I knew after my trial (which I did the same day as my engagement photos, perfect!) that she would be right on schedule. And on the day of, she finished early! But you'd never know because her work is so fantastic. Melissa also did tattoo coverage for one of the BMs and it was amazing. And she's super friendly and easy to chat with! And her work looks amazing on camera and in photos - she's the best!! If you are considering Melissa and her company, I definitely recommend following her on Instagram - it will convince you she's the one! -

I am so happy that I booked Melissa to do mine and my four bridesmaids hair and make up for my wedding day. She made me look and feel more beautiful than ever before!!! What I loved most is that I still looked and felt like myself which was really important to me. Melissa was so fun to be around on the wedding day, she always responded to my emails so quickly, and she arrived early on the day of the wedding. I would recommend Blush by M. Marie to anyone!!! Emily Sent on 05/28/2018Let me start off by saying I absolutely loved my makeup for the wedding but my hair was a disaster! When I explained why I wasn’t happy with it it just seemed like Melissa didn’t agree with me. You can clearly see in my picture how different the two hair styles are from each other! (The left is what Mellisa did to my hair and the right is what I showed her that I wanted) Also she is very difficult to work with and I am usually a very laid back person to work with. Let’s just say she’s very expensive and is so busy that she can’t even make her brides a priority! And when you are suppose to be the priority she doesn’t take her time instead she rushes your hair/makeup to get somewhere else. Not to mention she started my bridesmaids & my hair and makeup at 7:00am & finished at around 10:30am when my ceremony wasn’t till 2:30pm!! I even asked her if we could have her start at a later time that day but wouldn’t budge! I even added a second makeup artist Incase something went wrong to help Melissa out! By the time I walked down the aisle my hair was falling out and I had to retouch up on my makeup... I even did everything with my hair she told me like adding extensions & keeping moister out of the air!!! My best advice for Melissa is that money isn’t everything. You should hear your brides out and make them a priority by following their timeline and not your own. Also I would suggest taking a hair styling class because what you did to my hair was ugly and nowhere close to what I wanted. I also have so many emails of me showing you what I wanted to do with my hair, wanting to schedule a new consultation because my first consultation was was rushed bc you had somewhere else to be and you not fitting me into your schedule, and emails of me explaining about how I would like you to come later to do my makeup because I was worried it wouldn’t be fresh for my ceremony but you declining “because you make room for error.” It’s suppose to be the brides day not the makeup artist day!
