Wendy was absolutely INCREDIBLE! She made me feel like a princess at my bridal portraits and on my wedding day. She is so much fun and is the most incredible makeup artist. My mom and I loved Wendy from the moment we met her haha. She really listens to you and is just a wonderful person. I want to get professional makeup for all life events just to hang out with her haha. Talicia and Noelle were there as well on our wedding day and they were so great! Our entire wedding party absolutely loved their hair and makeup. They are all amazing people to work with and you have to go with Blush Asheville!

Blush - The Best of the Best!

Words cannot express how grateful I am to have had Christie as my wedding makeup artist. She is truly a one-of-a-kind gem, pure sunshine! Our wedding was originally supposed to be in October 2024 but had to be postponed due to Hurricane Helene. Christie was the first vendor that I was in contact with after the storm. Her warmth and calming nature truly carried me through that tough time and reassured me that everything would be ok.

I was lucky enough to have 2 trials with Christie, once before our original date and once before the new one, and both times she absolutely nailed my makeup! I knew that I was in the best hands. When wedding day finally came, I felt beautiful, confident, and like the best version of myself - exactly how every bride dreams of feeling! My makeup held up perfectly all day and night, even through a torrential downpour during our photos! I also have to give a huge shoutout to Wendy for being so fantastic to work with when booking and scheduling, especially REscheduling!

Christie and Wendy are 2 of the most selfless and genuinely kindhearted (not to mention insanely talented!) people I’ve ever met and I’m SO glad they were a part of our day!!

Book them RIGHT NOW! My wedding planner HIGHLY recommended Blush, and they came through. Every single bridesmaid was talking about how they have never liked how their hair and makeup when they were in other weddings… but every single one of them was impressed. A Beautiful Bride

I had the pleasure of having Noelle do my hair for our wedding and Christie do my makeup. I was able to set up trials with both of them and they were so accommodating since I lived 6 hours away and I was able to do both in the same day! They were both BEYOND amazing and really brought my dreams into reality for my big day. I also had 11 other ladies that got their hair and makeup done and they were all finished within a timely manner and looked stunning!! I can't recommend them enough as I truly felt the most beautiful on my wedding day than I ever have - they really knew how to accentuate my natural features to really take it to the next level. They were also just such kind and wonderful people to work with :)

So beautiful!

I was super apprehensive about hair and makeup and making sure that I looked and felt like myself on my wedding day. I am SO thankful that I ended up choosing Blush- I felt beautiful and very much like myself. Wendy helped me organize everything and was so kind and responsive (thank you Wendy!). Lovely and Fun

Wendy and Amanda were the perfect team for my hair and makeup. Amanda worked with me to create the perfect up-do for me and my 3 bridesmaids. Wendy loved my inspiration and created not only the perfect look for me but coordinated with my bridesmaids to make sure we looked our best. The BEST wedding day glam squad!

Wendy and Amanda did an amazing job on my hair and makeup and I absolutely couldn’t recommend them more! My Airbnb was literally in the woods, but they were both super patient with me as I tried to help them navigate the confusing directions. Amazing makeup

Wendy was an absolute delight to work with! Even through covid, she was amazing and I never had a worry. I told her a little bit about what I wanted for my wedding and left things up to her. Breathtaking Excitement

Knowing I could decently do my own makeup and hair there was no need for a professional. After splurging on the photographer and videographer I wanted the pictures to turn out wonderful! Awesome photos meant a look more than a decent nonprofessional bride would have time to spare. Wendy responded to my query within 24 hours and never pressured me into choosing her team.

Wendy met us at The Lion and the Rose by our venue and already had everything ready for our arrival. I was running behind schedule being a DIY bride and not calculating how long decorating would take. Wendy didn’t hesitate in suggesting to send a bridesmaid while we finished up DIYing. Upon arriving at our room in the Bed and Breakfast I was able to relax for several minutes while my bridesmaids were being beautified. Nerves started to seep in with no distractions to ease my mind. However, the Blush team had us in stitches and took my mind far from my shyness of everyone watching me as I walk down the aisle.

I only cared about an updo for the bridesmaids and had thought nothing past that. Their hair turned out perfect for an Old Hollywood glam look! I was ecstatic for both girls to enjoy their looks and feel absolutely beautiful. I’m thankful to have found Blush Asheville because Old Hollywood glamour was in abundance with my hair and makeup! I felt absolutely stunning. Oh, and my makeup still rocked post pictures at the bed and breakfast with my new hubby!!

You guys were splendtastic and I’m beyond grateful for how you guys made all three of us feel on my start of forever!!

Perfection!

I have extensive background in the beauty industry and was stressing over who was going to do my makeup and hair for my wedding. My wedding planner (Mary Bell Events) understood my hesitation and recommended Wendy. Wendy and her team exceeded everything single expectation I had and the moment I sat down, I felt completely comfortable. Wendy and Amy handled my, a bit overbearing, stepmother seamlessly and got all my girls done well ahead of schedule.
My girls and I loved their work and they made us ALL feel like queens for a day! Blush is quite simply the best that there is!

Helped in a pinch

I originally went to a different makeup artist that was well reviewed. My experience was awful as the makeup job was horrible (I could have done better myself and I no nothing about makeup). So with only a few weeks till my wedding I was scrambling for a new makeup artist. This site caught my attention as they said they used traditional makeup, not airbrush, which is exactly what I wanted. I reached out to Wendy & to my great surprise, she was able to fit me in. My makeup artist, Talicia, was friendly and crazy knowledgeable about makeup. Talicia helped me even though she had an appointment before & after me. I received so many compliments on her makeup job & the lady at the wedding venue said she'd never seen such good makeup on any bride. I highly recommend this business for the use of traditional makeup, the expertise of Talicia, and the willingness of both Wendy & Talicia to find a spot for me at the last moment!

Wendy is the absolute BEST. From the beginning, I felt like she completely understood the look I was going for. She nailed it on my first (and only) makeup trial. She absorbed the info I gave her, some of it specific and some vague, to create the most amazing makeup for my wedding. My bridesmaids loved her, she was so fun and entertaining in the bridal suite. Kristen did the makeup for myself, my mom and my four bridesmaids. She is the best! I had a trial with her almost a year earlier and she remembered all of my preferences for makeup. She was prompt with communication prior to the wedding and arrived on time on our wedding morning. She listened to everyone's preferences for makeup and made everyone feel like the most beautiful version of themselves. Christie is an extremely talented make-up artist! She was immensely helpful during my make-up trial, and it paid off on the big day. She knew exactly what I wanted for my bridal make-up, and she extended the similar look and feel for my bridesmaids, mother and grandmother. The photos speak for themselves - she did an AMAZING job. All of our make-up stayed put throughout the entire event with a light feel that I did not even want to remove at the end of the night. My daughter was married on November 4, 2017 in Asheville. Kristen worked her magic on our wedding party and made us all feel and look incredible. I can't say enough about how professional she was. She listened to what each woman was hoping for and then made it happen! I had such an amazing experience with Blush. I got married on October 28th and I can’t stop thinking about what an amazing job Jen and Amanda did with my hair and makeup. I thought that my (now) husband wouldn’t really like whatever I did, because he’s not used to seeing me with any makeup or my hair out of a ponytail, but all night he kept staring at me in amazement saying, “you look so GOOD!” It doesn’t really get any better than that. The Blush team was also very sweet to my 3 flower girls - they wove baby’s breath into their sweet little braided updos. When the 5-year-old messed her hair up a little by playing and going outside in the rain Amanda just laughed and immediately redid it. Never making her feel bad for a second. I could go on and on about how wonderful they were, but I’ll just say that if you are thinking of going with Blush Asheville - DO IT!

I don't even know where to begin...Wendy is the absolute BEST at what she does! I got married in Asheville but I was from an area outside of Charlotte. Not only did Wendy do the best makeup I have ever seen in my life she helped me with so many things in the area. She had recommendations for nails, activities, etc!

I knew I made the right decision when I booked because I received a handwritten note in the mail that welcomed me; I was so impressed!!!! She even gave me the brand new lipstick/gloss to do touch ups for later in the day. She really wants you to feel beautiful and prepared.

Now let's get to the good stuff--my makeup. When I walked down the aisle my husband literally said "WOW, you look BEAUTIFUL!! I like your makeup!" Wendy made everyone in my bridal party feel comfortable and she just knows what looks good on you. She's so laid back, friendly, and honestly a friend now!

I have gotten over a dozen compliments and comments on my wedding photos that show my makeup details. My skin looked like porcelain! I naturally even had a nice bump on my cheek--call it wedding stress! She was able to smooth my skin out and honestly I have never felt more confident and beautiful. Getting your hair done helps to make the day feel real but when she does your makeup you feel like a celebrity! You suddenly can't help but get so excited and I was all smiles that morning.

She is THE PERSON to book. This company knows what they are doing and I promise you it's the best decision you'll make regarding your wedding!

I have the biggest girl crush on Wendy Ballance as well as her talented artist Kristin Davis. I wanted a glam look, something I don't do everyday and she met, exceeded expectations. Kristin took my look to the next level with all her special touches. I let her take creative freedom as she knew exactly what I was going for. She made me look and feel like royalty. I got to know both ladies leading up the wedding and feel like I have two new friends. Kristin also did the make up for my daughter, my maid of honor, and she looked like a goddess. Wendy and Jenna Wilson, who did my hair, were both incredible. Wendy is extremely talented, and was awesome about making sure my makeup was just as I envisioned it for the big day. She also did an incredibly job on my mom and my bridesmaids, giving everyone an individual look that made them feel their most beautiful while still keeping a cohesive theme for the whole bridal party. And everyone's looks lasted through the whole night! Jenna was fantastic as well, she completely got the vibe I was going for, despite my total inability to explain it clearly, and gave everyone, including my maid of honor who had a completely badass (but not entirely conducive to a traditional updo) undercut, hair they loved. Great team for an awesome day!

Christie and the Blush team were absolutely amazing. After meeting Christie and having my trial, I was in love with how my makeup turned out. On wedding day, they truly made everyone look like a princess, but not overly done. Even through the night, after rain and dancing, we all still looked great. I cannot thank Wendy, Christie and the rest of the team for making everyone look and feel their absolute best. I cannot thank everyone enough for the beautiful work!

Kudos to Christie at Blush Asheville. She did my makeup for my wedding last weekend and wow... were we impressed. Coming from someone who only wears chapstick, I was very nervous about wearing makeup and the out come. She was able to make me not only look gorgeous, but I felt at ease and comfortable with her during the process. She helped keep me calm all while being professional and friendly. She really did a tremendous job. And with all of the girls in my bridal party. And the makeup lasted over 12 hours. I only had to reapply lip gloss. Fantastic. Truly an artist. Love love love!!!!

Wendy did an absolutely perfect job with my rehearsal dinner and wedding makeup. I wasn't exactly sure what look I wanted going in so she was patient with me while we tried a couple of different looks. By the end of the weekend, I truly felt like I gained a friend in her. During my hunt for a make-up artist, I contacted Wendy about a make-up trial. It was evident through my communications with Wendy that Blush was a well-run, professional business and that Wendy was dedicated to meeting my beauty needs. Wendy arranged for a make-up trail with Sara (one of Blush's make-up artists) that worked within my busy schedule. When I met Sara I knew that she would be the make-up artist I used on my wedding day. Sara was extremely professional and made me feel ease during the make-up trial. The contract was thorough and made me feel confident that everything would run smoothly on my wedding day. On the day of the wedding, Sara was timely and ready to go. My mom and my mother in law both sat in Sara's chair. Sara did an excellent job with everyone's make-up. All 3 of us (my mom, mother in law and myself) all have completely different skin tones, textures and styles. She listened to everyone's requests and we came away with 3 completely different, flawless looks. Blush was the easiest vendor that I worked with during my wedding :) I cannot say Thank you enough for making this aspect of my wedding so effortless :) I couldn't have asked to work with a better group of people... Wendy and Sara are two of the nicest people I have ever met in the business!!

My mother, mother-in-law, and I had our make-up done by Jen O'Leary for my wedding day and we have never looked so good in our lives! She was super sweet and knew what products would work best for each of us. My mother and I are Chinese and my mother-in-law is Italian Irish and Jen was able to work with all of our unique features. My experience with these ladies was absolutely AMAZING. The make up artist I worked with was Kristen. She captured the look I wanted effortlessly. She had an amazing spirit and kept me calm throughout the entire process. I really could not have asked for a better experience! Advice to any brides: have your tip check written and ready before the big day - my mind was so all over the place that I completely forgot to give Kristen a tip. Luckily I got a check in the mail to here ASAP but I wish I had been more on top of that! Thank you again Wendy and Kristen for helping to create my absolutely perfect wedding day.

Blush was great! Christie did my make-up and she was wonderful to work with. It was easy to coordinate my trial-run with her (I'm from out of town). I wanted a more natural look since I do not typically wear a lot of make-up and she did it perfectly. She also showed me how to touch my make-up throughout the night. Blush was an excellent decision! Wendy was so professional and easy to work with. She even went beyond the call of duty to help me find a hairstylist at the last minute. Kristen Davis is a makeup genius! She has a a true talent for highlighting features and bringing out the beauty in her clients. She made my mom and bridal party feel calm and comfortable while applying their makeup. She will take suggestions and will reapply until you feel comfortable. That wasn't needed in our case, but the option was there. I highly recommend Kristen and Blush to any bride wanting to look perfect on her wedding day!

Wendy was AMAZING! My bridesmaids and I all looked beautiful. I don't wear much makeup on a day-to-day basis and Wendy took that into account. Wendy made sure my makeup was light and simple, showing my freckles and accentuating my features. My groom couldn't get over how beautiful I looked and commented more than once that he was so glad that I "looked like me" and not a beauty star. To say I felt beautiful on my wedding day was an understatement and I owe it all to Blush, especially my makeup artist, Kristin! Hair and makeup were the most daunting items to me, since the wedding pictures last forever, but I instantly felt at ease when I met Kristin during my makeup trial.

Kristin is one of the loveliest people I've ever met and her personality just shines. She has a unique ability to connect with others and translate their thoughts into a finished, polished product. On top of that, her level of artistry is the best I've ever seen (and trust me, it's not my first rodeo when it comes to getting my makeup done or having photos taken).

What really blew me away though was Kristin's ability to come up with a personalized, polished look that worked for me, my best friend, my sister, and my mother and mother in law. Five different personalities, styles, and requests, but she made everyone feel like the best version of themselves and we ended with time to spare!

Kristin always said "I want you to love it" and stayed with us to freshen up, make little tweaks, etc. until the very end when I was getting ready to walk down the aisle. She was the perfect addition to our glam squad and really helped keep the energy up, positive, and lively. I especially loved how excited she got at each stage in the makeup process because she was able to see her vision come to life and absolutely nailed it each time. I didn't stress once and knew that I was in the best hands possible.

I can't thank her enough for making me feel as radiant as I did. Looking at the pictures, I tear up because I look like a more elevated version of myself and feel so confident in how I looked that it translated onto film how happy I felt on the inside.

I feel really lucky that we found Blush, let alone that they paired us with Kristin. Any bride she supports is lucky and I know will feel the same way that I did before, during, and after the big day!

Blush Asheville was AMAZING to work with! The owner, Wendy, was so sweet and responsive from my first email all the way up to the final days before our wedding. Though it was due to unfortunate circumstances, I had the pleasure of working with two artists from Blush. I had my initial consultation and trial with Kim, who ended up having a family emergency on the day of the wedding and not being able to do our makeup.

Wendy, the owner, called the day before the wedding to explain what had happened with Kim and offer that a new artist, Sara, would be working with us on the wedding day.

Everything was handled with professionalism and grace. Despite Kim dealing with an emergency she continued to ensure I felt comfortable and beautiful on the wedding day. She sent pictures from our trial and forwarded our email correspondence to Sara so she would be well prepared for the job.

Sara was a joy to work with. She jumped right in and did a beautiful job of making up my mom, grandma, sisters and myself. Everyone looked so beautiful!

Christie was my makeup artist and she was ah.ma.zing. Coming out of state, coordinating with vendors can sometimes get tricky. Working with Wendy and Christie was so great! I had a trial with Christie two days before my wedding - it gave me time to see how I liked the look and whether or not I wanted to change anything from my original request. Day of, I asked her to make very minor changes and she knocked it out of the park. Christie did my makeup plus that of my three bridesmaids, and I could not be happier. She was timely, professional, and so wonderful to work with. She was very willing to work with what each girl requested without hesitation. Highly recommend Christie and the Blush studio!!

The ladies at Blush did an AMAZING job on our bridal party makeup!!! Wendy, Kristen, and all of the wonderful and sweet women at Blush were so helpful, answering every question from this out-of-town bride in a timely manner, and giving much needed input! One word: AMAZING. Wendy was so responsive and pleasant to work with. She answered any and all questions that I had leading up to the wedding very promptly. She was extremely helpful in referring other vendors to me as well, such as hair. Christie came out to the Biltmore and did my make up, as well as some of my bridesmaid's make up. I had a small hiccup about two weeks before my wedding. I had to find another make-up artist immediately. My wedding planner, Nicole Riley with StudioWed, told me about Blush by Wendy. I was a little nervous since I did not have time to do a trial run before my big day since I live in DC. Wendy sent me an email within 5 minutes of me sending her one and told me not to worry about a thing. She paired me up with Christie Burlett. I only had email and phone contact with Christie. I sent her pictures of myself and the look I wanted and she saw a vision. I met her the day of my wedding at the Inn on Biltmore. She was warm, sweet and so professional. She fit right in with my energetic family. She made me look like a beautiful movie star. I tried not to cry when I saw myself, but I have never seen myself more beautiful and this was the day of my wedding. Christie you made me feel like I was a queen for a day and I felt so elegant. We just have to say that Wendy is truly FABULOUS!! She did my makeup as a trial, for bridal portrait photo shoot, and the big day at Biltmore Estate! Having planned for a year and a half for a wedding at this venue deserved the very best. And we found it in Wendy! She did my wife's, her bestie, my matron of honor, my mother-in-law and sister's makeup as well. As a 50+ bride, I had never felt so beautiful! And all of the wedding party felt beautiful as well. She is so sweet, flexible, and Professional and came with a lot of experience. She gave me samples of the lipstick I wore and other goodies. We cannot recommend her enough! I found Blush through my wedding planner. I took a look at her portfolio and fell in love, I immediately contacted Wendy and she was such a doll. She was so sweet and accommodating, willing to answer all of my questions, she was the perfect fit for me! Since I was having a destination wedding I made my test appointment early and when I met Wendy in person it was like I was meeting a long lost friend. Wendy did my makeup, as well as my mother's and mother-in-law's, for our wedding and she did such an amazing job. My mom actually teared up she felt so beautiful! Working with BLUSH and Wendy Ballance was an absolute pleasure! Wendy was extremely helpful with the entire booking and coordination process with both my trial makeup and the wedding day. Her experience and expertise not only with BLUSH, but also with the Biltmore venue, and working relationships with other vendors gave me the stress free comfort of knowing that I was in good hands.
Wendy arrived early on my wedding day and did makeup for myself, my mother in law and matron of honor. Since none of us usually wear a lot of makeup, Wendy was able to highlight our best features while giving us a natural flawless look. Wendy did an amazing job and everyone looked gorgeous! The makeup application was light and airy and lasted all day, from my first look pictures in the rain to dancing the night away at the reception. My makeup application was completed around 2pm, we had our first look picture at 3pm, traveled around Biltmore for pictures until 5pm and our ceremony was at 6pm. Wendy was able to stay the entire time and offered a touch up service so that after traveling around for pictures, I was able to get a slight touch up right before walking down the aisle. Thank you so much Wendy! I would highly recommend using BLUSH and Wendy Ballance for your wedding day!

I CANNOT say enough about Wendy Ballance! After I contacted her to do my wedding weekend makeup, she was nothing but an absolute pleasure to work with. She is extremely quick to respond to any message I sent her and always was upbeat, accommodating and responsive to any questions I had. The cost of service was also excellent. I had an Indian wedding that spanned 2 days and I did 2 trials with her for my mother and myself to create 2 separate looks for each day. Her skills are AMAZING!!! She completely understood the glamorous look I wanted without looking overdone and helped me step outside my comfort zone to discover a whole new me! I am blown away by her professionalism, kindness and spunk...she really is a blast to be around and makes you feel comfortable, cared for and appreciated on your big day! I am beyond words at how she made me look and feel during my weekend and honestly can recommend her with the HIGHEST of regards! You should absolutely have your makeup done by Wendy Ballance!

We had a wonderful experience with the ladies of BLUSH. They were extremely professional, timely and very talented. Wendy was very helpful in setting up our on house bridal make-up session for my wedding day in Asheville and Kristen made all the ladies for my special day look their very best and was a absolute joy to be around. Everyone in my bridal party commented on how perfect of a job she did to ensure each lady loved their look and it made me thrilled that my whole bridal party was happy with their makeup. This is not an easy thing to do! I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend the ladies on BLUSH to all.

I have to start by saying that Wendy was amazing to coordinate with. One of the kindest, most professional and just willing to work with you to make things easier. Such a pleasure to have that when you are dealing with a million things to coordinate a wedding. I must have drove her crazy with going back and forth about who was or wasn't going to have their makeup done! Wendy was ever so gracious and understanding and must of changed my contract 5 times. Christie did my makeup the day of my wedding. She was so sweet and thoughtful. She even kept me on schedule and told me what I needed to do when I needed to do it so that I didn't run late. Such a caring and thoughtful person even right down to the end when Christie gave me a handwritten wedding card! I can't say it enough or express in words alone how impressed I was with my experience with her! I would use Wendy and Christie over and over again for any formal events I need make up for! If you want to be WOW'd then pick Blush!

If I could give 6 stars - I would! Wendy and her team at Blush are just incredible!
She did my makeup for my wedding along with my bridesmaids and mother/mother-in-law. All of her work is flawless and whenever Wendy would hand one of us the mirror to see our final makeup application, without fail each of us gasped with how amazing she made us look.

Her makeup application style is not over-the-top or powdery/stiff feeling. She knows exactly what to do to play up your best features in a natural but amazingly gorgeous way. As she told me on my wedding day "I want to make you look like you, but just a slightly better version."

Blush was so easy to work with and very enthusiastic. They made me feel excited and confident about my big day. They also gave me a beautifully packaged touch-up kit that I was able to use for reapplication that evening however the makeup held up so well I didn't even have to!

Everyone at Blush is phenomenal. I worked mostly with Wendy, and I can't say enough about how wonderful she is all around. From my pre-wedding make up trial to the big day, she was an absolute pleasure. She is very easy to communicate with, responsive, and flexible! On the day of the wedding, she and her colleague showed up right on time and finished the entire bridal party make up with plenty of time and was even able to accomodate my mom, who decided last minute that she also wanted her make up done. In addition to being wonderful people, the team at Blush does such quality and LASTING work that looks beautiful from the start of the day to the very end! Highly recommend Wendy and Blush!

My fiancée and I were married October 19th in Asheville. We live in Florida and you can imagine the stress of planning a destination wedding. I spent a lot of time researching makeup artists. I’m 53 years old but no woman is ever too old to want to be a beautiful bride. The reviews and pictures for Blush were amazing and once I spoke to Wendy my choice was easy. Our wedding was at 10:00 am. Jenn arrived bright and early, was extremely professional and could not have been sweeter. With no trial and only the pics from my Pinterest board Jenn gave me exactly what I was looking for….natural but better!! I loved the way I looked. And best of all it LASTED from early morning through brunch at the Biltmore including a strenuous tour of the house and gardens. I could not possibly recommend Blush or Jennifer more. Thank you so much for making my dream day even better!!

I can't say enough great things about Wendy! I live out of town and I was visiting before the wedding and needed to find a make up artist. She returned my messages immediately and was able to fit me in for a trial run. I knew as soon as I met her that I felt comfortable with her. She did a fantastic job and I'm so happy that I found her. She was so helpful whenever I had questions, very professional, super sweet. I would recommend her for sure!!

As an out-of-town bride, BLUSH made my selection for makeup artistry extremely smooth and simple. Wendy always got back to me quickly and even helped me find the hair salon we also used for my special day. I had the pleasure of working with Kristen and Jenny. The ladies were absolutely magnificent! They were friendly, fun, and complete professionals. I could not have asked for anything better--this company is the best! Shawn did a phenomenal job on my mom, maid of honor, bridesmaid, and me! He takes so much time and spends so much energy making sure it is just perfect. He also did my make-up for our engagement photos. I'm always so impressed with his work. Everyone looked stunning and glamorous. Wendy was at my venue and gave me a quick touchup before I saw my groom for the first time. They were all so sweet and patient. I would use Shawn again in a heartbeat!

I loved working with Blush! Wendy was super helpful in all of the booking and planning leading up to my wedding makeup trial and the actual wedding day. She booked Christie for me and Christie was absolutely amazing! Christie walked me through everything during my makeup trial and then she did my makeup, as well as 3 of my bridesmaids on my wedding day. Wendy was hands down brilliant and incomparable for wedding services! I met with her three times over the course of my wedding weekend, and every single experience was an absolute pleasure! Her demeanor and positive attitude are contagious, making the experience all the better. She has undeniable talent knowing what will look great on her client! Could NOT have chose better! Kristen from Blush did the makeup for myself and my bridesmaids and she was AMAZING. Not only is she funny, sweet, and professional, you can truly see the passion that she puts into each and every face.

I am a makeup junkie, so the ideas that I had sent to Kristen were varied. As soon as I opened the door, she knew exactly what would work best for me. She made me feel so beautiful and special on my wedding day. My Bridesmaids were just as much in love with her talent as I was, each noting how much they loved her work and how beautiful they felt.

Our experience with both Blush and Kristen were amazing. I am so glad they were able to accommodate our changed date. I can't imagine my day being as wonderful had I not felt as beautiful as Kristen made me feel. I will forever be grateful for her talent and her passion.

I am very particular about my make up and hair so choosing to get married in Asheville, where I do not know any make up artist or hair stylist, made me very nervous. Until I met Wendy and Emily at my first consultation. They are amazing and also very accommodating. My contract had to be changed a number of times because additional people were added for hair and make up at different times and Wendy was always willing to change the contract without any complaints. I was especially grateful that they were able to do my hair and make up for my rehearsal dinner since I waited until 3 weeks prior to the wedding to ask.

Aside from being some of the nicest people I have ever worked with, my hair and make up were amazing! Both for the rehearsal and the wedding. My mom even let Wendy do her make up for the wedding. This may not seem like a big deal, but trust me, with my mother that is huge!! She does not let people do her make up. If you are getting married in the Asheville area, I would definitely recommend hiring Blush. I could not have made it through my wedding weekend without them :)

My experience with Kristen was wonderful. I tend to like natural-looking makeup, and she did a great job giving me a look that I was comfortable with but also would stand out and look great in wedding pictures. NEED TO BOOK HER. I am sooo glad that I reached out in enough time to secure Wendy for my wedding day makeup. Our Asheville wedding was a destination wedding so I was basing my decision off of reviews, and info I could find online etc. I'd emailed a few people and I could tell right away Wendy was the way to go, she was very professional and nice and always got back to me quickly in emails. She helped answer any questions leading up to the big day, and on our wedding day she didn't disappoint- Wendy's team did an INCREDIBLE job on my makeup and my bridesmaids makeup!!! She knows what she's doing-whether it be dramatic, more natural- everyone got the exact look they wanted. Wendy did my makeup for my sister's wedding at the Biltmore. I can't say enough great things about her and how she did our makeup! I usually do not wear much make up, and was nervous about looking too made up. Wendy listened to what I wanted and did my make up wonderfully! It was the first time I really liked how I looked for a formal event. I was very impressed and recieved many compliments over the course of the night. Wendy was professional and very fun to have around on the days prior to the wedding, as well as the wedding day! She went above and beyond to ensure my sister and the wedding party had a positive and enjoyable experience. I will be booking her for my wedding, wherever or whenever that may be!! Wendy did an AMAZING job on my bridal makeup. I asked for a natural look, and she delivered flawlessly! FABULOUS! Where to give start....Kristen Davis is so talented. She did such a wonderful job on the makeup for my wedding. It is by far the best makeup I have ever had, and was absolutely perfect for the occasion. As someone who doesn't normally wear a lot of makeup I am always a little worried about looking overdone with professional makeup applications. This was not the case at all with Kristen, she spent time talking to me about what I wanted to look like and did an amazing job of applying makeup that looked natural but still looked stunning in my photographs. Even better than the makeup is that she is such a lovely and fun person to have in the room while you are getting ready. Even though we were meeting for the first time it felt as though we were old friends by the end of the afternoon!

While I didn't get to meet Wendy in person she was so helpful with booking, setting up the schedule, and all the details. Very responsive and always willing to accommodate in any way she could. Can't say enough good things about Blush, Wendy, and Kristen!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Wendy! I cannot believe that I was ever tempted to do my own makeup for my wedding. Even if you love doing your makeup, your wedding day will be different. I recommend Wendy and Blush without reservation -- I am so happy that she was part of my day! Wendy creates such a wonderful calming (but fun!) environment in your own space! She is truly an artist. My mother, matron of honor, and I were thrilled with her work -- we all looked absolutely beautiful (if I don't say so myself!). I can't thank Wendy enough! She created the perfect look for me -- trust Wendy!

I also hired Amanda Hughes through Blush. I LOVED my wedding day hair -- thank you, Amanda! I had a trial with Amanda and she was SO responsive to my feedback. She gave me exactly what I wanted (which was likely a challenge given that I did not give her a single picture!). I have long, fine hair that she styled perfectly. My bangs have never looked better - if I lived in Asheville (or anywhere close), I would see Amanda all the time! My matron of honor has thick, shorter hair that Amanda masterfully worked into a gorgeous up-do! Book Amanda - you will not be sorry!

Wendy did such a great job on everyone's makeup for our January Biltmore wedding! Everyone commented how stunning our makeup was in the pictures. Wendy is so personable and easy to talk to… when you first meet her you feel like you have known her forever! She is very considerate of your likes/dislikes and always asks you what type of music you would like to hear while you are getting your makeup done. I was a little bit nervous because my skin is really sensitive and I have to use hypoallergenic make-up but everything was fine! Wendy also did my trial for my bridal portraits and that was just as great! Wendy is so professional and was flexible about additions to the day. She is truly amazing! I wish I had more excuses to get my make-up done in Asheville!

Wow! Wendy and her team are flawless! They did my makeup, as well as 6 other wedding party members on my wedding day. Her team truly made me and my bridesmaid/MOB/MOG feel beautiful that day. Blush by Wendy is AMAZING! We got married in October at the Biltmore--a very busy time! All of the Blush by Wendy makeup artists were already booked when I originally contacted them. They get booked early because they are simply.THE.best!! If you are getting married in the Asheville area -- they are the ones to call!! However, because they were booked I worked with someone else. They week before my wedding, things fell through with my makeup vendor. We contacted Wendy at Blush and by fate they had a cancellation too! Kristen Davis met with me for a LAST minute trial and was sooooo sweet. She made me feel so much better about the ordeal of that week and I knew I was back in good hands. She was exactly what I wanted -- an incredibly knowledgable and talented makeup artist. But, also, a wonderful, nice, and FUN person! She made the trial and the wedding day such fun and I feel sooo grateful to have had her for our wedding!
