We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding venue than Blue Stem Farm and Events. We got married there on 05.29.26 and it was a dream! From the beautiful grounds to the seamless organization of the day, everything exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and created the perfect backdrop for our wedding.
One of our favorite features was the bridal and groom suites. Both spaces were amazing—comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. They provided the perfect place for everyone to get ready, relax, and enjoy those special moments before the ceremony.
A special thank you goes to Kelly, the owner, who was incredible throughout the entire process. She was always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and help with every detail, big and small. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made planning our wedding so much less stressful. We truly felt supported every step of the way.
On our wedding day, everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the celebration with our family and friends. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful the experience felt.

This venue is beautiful and made our wedding vision come true. Both the grounds and the venue is well kept and has the best view for sunset photos. Kelly is amazing to work with; she is great with communication, was our month and day of coordinator, and made our day run smoothly. She makes everything easy, provides so much support and is very consistent and thorough. Bluestem was the first place we looked at and nothing after it compared! I highly recommend the weekend rental, setting up the Friday before made Saturday stress free! Kelly coming as your planner/coordinator exceeded my expectations! She was there to help with the last minute things that came up with the vendors down to helping me bustle my dress and get all those dang buttons undone at the end of the night! I got so many compliments on the beauty of this venue and my wedding pictures are a dream because of it! 10000/10 recommend Kelly and Bluestem! -

Bluestem was the perfect venue for our wedding — absolutely beautiful, especially during sunset. We got so many compliments from guests about how gorgeous the space was. It’s the ideal setup for people to enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces, and there was something for everyone.
But what really made our experience great was working with Kelly. She was so helpful and responsive from day one, and super flexible with all the changes we had along the way. She handled both venue coordination and day-of planning, and made everything feel smooth and stress-free. She's down to earth, easy to talk to, and just really great at what she does.
The venue itself has everything you could want — a beautiful bridal suite and groom’s space, A/C and heat, indoor restrooms, space to spread out, and lots of thoughtful details that made things easy.
If you’re considering Bluestem — do it. And if you’re lucky enough to have Kelly as your coordinator, you’re in great hands. -

We had the absolute best time getting married at Blue Stem. The rustic barn is gorgeous, the nature views are unbeatable, and the whole vibe was relaxed and magical. The bridal and groom suites were perfect, and having a coordinator made everything so easy. Seriously, zero stress just love, laughter, and amazing memories. Highly recommend! -

We had our wedding 6/15/24 at the blue stem farms and events. When I say this venue is breathtaking, it has everything you’re looking for in a rustic style barn. From the beautiful property to the barn this will make your wedding day even more special. Have to give a huge shot out to Kelly the owner, she is the sweetest lady you will meet. She made sure during the whole planning process to be by our sides. If you need to speak to her, she’s right there for you. On our wedding day she made sure everything ran smoothly. I cannot think of one thing that went wrong. She did a fabulous job ensuring everything was set up properly with the vendors. Highly recommend! -

Wedding planner and Wedding venue
I had my dream wedding at Bluestem Farm and events and it so special and unique. Kelly (wedding venue owner) was willing to take on title of our “wedding planner” just less than a month away from our wedding because previous wedding planner unfortunately didn’t meet expectations. She was our saving grace. She was so responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the whole process but especially when we made the decision to have her as our wedding planner. My wedding day was so smooth and seamless and I cannot be more grateful for her. The venue itself was perfect for ceremony and reception. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. The prairie reserve behind us during our ceremony was one of my favorite things about having an end of September wedding because the field literally is gold. The venue is perfect and the owner is even better to work with! -

My husband and I viewed Bluestem Farms during the big wedding boom! Kelly was excellent, she answered all of our questions told us what season is her favorite at the venue and how things will work for the day of. We ended up putting our downpayment later that day for our wedding day.
Kelly was really flexible. She let us do a payment plan which made our wedding so much more possible. There was even a month that I was a couple days late on the money getting to her because of the mail and all that, but I communicated it all to Kelly and she was very understanding.
We had an option to do a rehearsal at the venue but it was the Thursday before the wedding. Although this was a nice option for us, we already planned our rehearsal dinner for the Friday before the wedding. I know in 2024 it will be different as when you book the venue, it will be for the entire weekend instead of just the day.
The day of the wedding was perfect! Kelly was there all day with us. She was around helping us make the venue into our dream venue. We rented the China and she placed them all on the tables while we were getting ready. Our wedding day was really windy, windier than expected. Kelly helped us figure out how we will have our ceremony decor outside without it being blown away or broken!
I cannot recommend this venue enough! -

We just had our wedding & reception at Bluestem Farm & Events and it could not have been a more perfect day. This was the only venue we looked at when we started planning and we knew we didn't have to look elsewhere. The entire property is gorgeous and the owner, Kelly, was the most helpful and made the choice that much easier. Every question we had in the 14 months of planning was answered promptly and thoroughly. Kelly was also my day of coordinator and it all ran so smoothly. She was there to make sure everyone, vendors included, knew what was going on so we didn't even have to think about it. I will forever recommend this space to have your wedding. We wish we could do it all over again -

Absolutely amazing
Bluestem farm & events is a beautiful venue. It has so much character that when it came to décor I felt like I didn't really need much so that was a plus on saving money. Kelly was very flexible and accommodating. She is very knowledgeable on weddings and her staff are great at what they do. Kelly took a lot of stress off of me and I know my big day was in good hands. I was able to truly enjoy my day and so did all of my guests. -

1 word, INCREDIBLE! This venue is gorgeous, inside and out - the landscape is beautiful and covered in tall trees/colorful flowers. Kelly, the owner, is so thoughtful, polite and kind. She was on top of everything throughout our entire experience from meeting with her during the tour to asking questions along the way and during the entire wedding, she was there helping every step of the way. This venue is very accommodating and has back up plans just in case weather/plans go astray. We had our ceramony out in their field, cocktail hour in the lower region of the farm and reception upstairs - it was a dream, everyone was so comfortable and relaxed and we loved every minute of it. We 100% recommend the Bluestem Farm & Events! -

Breathtakingly Beautiful
We were honored to have had our wedding last weekend at Bluestem with Kelly and Kiersten. Kelly was extremely personable, easy to work with, very communicative, and an absolutely amazing team player working well with new to her vendors.
The venue is very well maintained and the grounds couldn't have been more green and beautiful! All of our guests were raving about the beauty of the venue and also the laid-back atmosphere that is created by the string light lit patio with patio furniture and fire pit.
The day of the wedding, Kelly and Kiersten were constantly helping with the small details, keeping things on track, and making sure things went as smoothly as possible. Having grown up in Hebron, it was special to have been able to get married in my hometown but it was equally as special to have gotten married at such a beautiful venue. -

Bluestem farm was the location of my July wedding. It is a beautiful venue with a well kept lawn, a fully restored barn, a gorgeous prairie, and well appointed bridal and groom suites. We wanted to showcase natural splendor as a backdrop for our wedding, and Bluestem is a great choice for others looking to do the same. Our pictures are gorgeous partially because of this gorgeous venue.
Kelly, as a venue manager, was easy to get a hold of, a great communicator, and very helpful in the time leading up to our wedding. On the day of our wedding, she and her staff were efficient and professional. The venue itself is gorgeous, but Kelly is a real asset to your wedding planning. -

Bluestem blew my expectations out of the water. Leading up to our big day, Kelly answered all my questions I had regarding ceremony and reception. We were so grateful that we picked Bluestem Farm & Events when we had to switch our plans multiple times during the pandemic. Our original wedding was planned for May 2020. We were able to delay our intimate wedding day due to the pandemic to July 2020 since the owner, Kelly, graciously opened up more dates. Kelly also let us split our time between two dates so that we could have our small ceremony in May and also a reception at a future date so that all of our guests could have the option to attend. We had to switch the reception date twice as well- originally it was planned for September 2020, but since the pandemic was not slowing at that point, we delayed the reception again to May 2021.
Our wedding testimony just shows how flexible Kelly is and how accommodating she is. Kelly is also very responsive and helpful via email. Sometimes I felt like I had needy requests, but Kelly made them seem like no problem and was so patient. On the day of our events at Bluestem, Kelly was hands-on and making sure everything went smoothly. She helped us problem solve as well. The grounds are just beautiful, and our guests were constantly complementing the venue. Overall, we could not be more grateful for our choice to host our event at Bluestem. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience! -

We got married here about a week ago and the venue was exceptional. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful and the pictures turned out beautifully. The indoor space is trendy with a rustic touch to it. It doesn't feel like you're in a barn on the inside and I loved that it was different than the typical hotel wedding space. We brought in our own desserts and had a dessert table and candy bar and we were able to set up and decorate however we wanted. The space is available for the entire weekend so we set up Friday prior to our rehearsal. It was also great the day of only having our guests at the property. It made the day even more intimate with only close family and friends there and not worrying about others crashing the wedding. I loved that we were able to add our personal touches to the venue and really make it our wedding. Kelly was amazing to work with and so flexible. We had to find a new venue in such a short amount of time (6 weeks prior to the event) and live in Las Vegas. Kelly was so accommodating as we had family members view the space for us and she was available to answer all of our answers quickly. I would recommend Bluestem to any couple looking for a space that you can really make yours and the opportunity to work with amazing owners! -

We saw this venue for the first time when it was nothing but dirt floors and mud. We trusted Kelly's vision and booked before it was complete. We are SO glad we did! This barn is such a unique venue and 4 months after our wedding our guests still tell us it was the most unique wedding they've ever been to. Kelly is fantastic, responsive, supportive, and truly does everything to make the big day run as smoothly as possible, as well as timely communication all the way up until the big day. The space is rustic, but has an elegance to it that makes it formal, especially if you still request your guests to dress formally, which we did. :)
If I could do it all again, I would choose Bluestem hands down. Thank you!! -

There are not enough nice things to say about Kelly, her husband, and their beautiful venue! If you are looking for a barn venue you can bring your own caterer and liquor to this is your place! Kelly and John have made our wedding planning process an incredible experience from beginning to end! You will always receive a prompt response to your emails from them as well as multiple updates and reminders as your day approaches. Our wedding day was the most magical and beautiful day and it would not have been possible without them and their gorgeous venue. All of our guests were captivated by what their farm had to offer. You are guaranteed a wonderful view outside on the patio overlooking the prairie AND having an intimate and romantic feel inside the barn! I just can't say enough wonderful things about Bluestem. The first time I walked into Bluestem I literally got teary eyed and said to my then boyfriend "This is where we are going to get married". The second thing I did after he proposed was emailed Kelly and set a date. Aside from the space just being breathtaking, Kelly and the entire Happ family are just the best people. So kind and helpful! I can honestly say I had the perfect wedding day with no issues and not many brides can say that. I owe a huge part of our perfect day to Kelly and the Bluestem staff! My husband and I were so fortunate to find Bluestem. It's a GORGEOUS venue - rustic, vintage, and just a slice of home. The space inside and the grounds outside are perfect for guests. They can pony up to the downstairs bar for a beverage, enjoy a nice moment on the patio or by the bonfire, and they can keep an eye on their kids easily as they run around the farm grounds. Kelly the owner is just a delight to work with. She was so sweet, knowledgable, super prepared and so helpful. If you get a chance to snag this lil beauty, you'll just have the best reception ever :) -

Fairy Tale Venue
I wish I could give more than 5 stars.....this venue is absolutely amazing and Kelly was fantastic to work with! We booked it back before it got renovated because after meeting with Kelly we knew it was going to be the right place for us. The barn itself is gorgeous, from the prairie view to the beautiful wooded interior with the lights and even the bonfire pit outside gives it a unique touch. Everything about our wedding was amazing and I couldn’t imagine it being any better than it was. It really was a fairy tale. We received so many compliments from our guests on how much they loved it, and Kelly went above and beyond in every way possible. I’d recommend this venue to anyone! -

I had my wedding there over the memorial day weekend, and I am still getting comments from all of my guests about what a fabulous place it is and how much they enjoyed the wedding. The owner Kelly is very knowledgeable and was very quick to respond to any questions that I had throughout the process of planning my wedding. On the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond carrying out requests from small to big. She even set up my cake and cupcake table for me.
The setting is beautiful, there are so many opportunities for beautiful pictures everywhere you look. I cannot recommend bluestem farms enough. -

My Wife and I got married here a few weeks ago. We can not say enough great things about Kelly and her Bluestem team. We booked our wedding date back in the Spring of 2018, and wow was it worth the wait! Every expectation we had for the day was beyond what we envisioned. The venue is beautiful, from the exterior of the barn, bar area, grounds, ceremony space, the bride/grooms suites, and the bathrooms. My wife would only get married in a barn with real bathrooms (It's harder to find than you'd think).
Getting married in 2020 meant navigating covid while planning our wedding. Kelly was quick to keep us updated with the latest guidelines we'd have to follow to have our wedding. She offered to put up tables outside for our guests to ensure social distancing and to comfort our guest accommodations for dinner. We even set up extra seating for our ceremony to allow our guests to spread out during the ceremony.
Bluestem is family owned and operated and it shows! I highly recommend getting married here. If you're not planning a wedding I hope you get the privilege of attending a wedding here. It's a venue you don't want to miss!
